What I think is that Blue is definitely the cursed team but the curse is that the eggs die if they lose, they have no dramatic disadvantage in game.
However I think the admins did give them an advantage by having the elimination be on a Sunday when green said they wouldn't be on so it was down to blue to decide what would happen. I think the only reason it was like this is because if it was fair, blue might have lost and to stick to the lore they would have had to say that the cursed team was gone which would have heavily demoralised the remaining two teams because some of the eggs will be dead either way.

y'all i have created a Monster 😮😳😳
Tumblr media
#sriracha.txt#long post#i found a grey hair mod and. well.#i always knew she'd be at her most powerful when she was graying but i didn't expect to be so RIGHT#i was going to give up the sims 4 but now i must go cc hunting to attempt to make her outfit in 5 proper#i like to imagine she has this stupidly big square leather duster.. nero's got the short coat in 5 so Somebody has to hold down the front o#ridiculously long coats! anyways it's not even her coat - thus explaining the size - but like one of the staff's communal freezer coats#in my head it's this really nice like.. daark eggplant that almost looks brown but It's Ourple Ur Honor#and ofc she has the vermilion/orange/?? skirt 😤 which is funny because now that i'm thinking about it#her color scheme is saur spardalike. make of this what you will but i will be pretending it's on purpose :3c#anyways her outfits during 5 are really fun to think about because they're just a mishmash. her design is on the downwards slope from being#Ultra Polished to whatever is in arms reach... there's no time to think about what to wear when you've got a whole island to defend from#demons solo! (but. because her outfits were so polished before. there is still the swag throughout her fits because she's cycling through#her old clothes yk 🍻 nero's design undergoes a pretty big shift between 4 and 5 that communicates a Lot about fortuna to me so I want her#design to reflect that culture shift while bridging the Then and the Now#my one thing w the design here is that. i think the coat might be a little too v-esque which. on one hand is funny. on the other hand she#and v do the venn diagram chacha a little too often + idk if i want to invoke that here. so while i will die fighting for the freezer coat#design i'm also entertaining the thought that this mf is just fighting for her life in her house robe because she woke up and the neighbor'#roof was on fire and there was no time to really get ready.. this is like 5's version of a frying pan being one of her weapons in 4 simply#because she had it on hand when the shit hit the fan.. she is always in situations with no prep time </3#oh! another thing while i'm spitballing design stuff for her.. i decided she'd have a forearm tattoo#to cover up the scar from the brand.. i wanted it to have a lot of meaning to her so i've yet to sit down and figure out#What it is but. that's going on now 🍻 this is as important to her design as The Earrings so. despite being another part of the v-gioia venn#diagram chacha i Cannot take it back lol <3 unless i decide on something else with the ritual but 🕴it is unlikely#anyways i Have To Go to Bed bc i'm practicing driving later so!! farewell comrades lol!#nero prime

I HAVE A REQUESTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT IF REQUESTS ARE OPEN AND IF NOT YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT
SO LET'S SAY CC CANNIBAL CHIEF READER IS FIGHTING SOME DEMON AND ENDS UP GETTING HER CLOTHES BURNED OFF (SHE NOT NAKED TRUST) WILL SIR ALASTOR HELP HER OR IDK
Tumblr media
Just a little burn
Cannibal chef! reader m.list | Author profile
You were with Alastor on your usual stroll to the city. Of course, it isn't hell unless there wasn't a turf war. So, you being you, you ended up joining in the fight that eventually led to you being jumped by all of the other demons. You were winning, of course, however, a pyromaniac unfortunately got your clothes on fire.
You gasp and yell out a cry as you lunged at him, dismembering his head from his body as did the others as they dropped to the floor like flies.
You came back to Alastor multiple heads in hand and red faced with tears. You look disheveled. Hair in a mess, your clothes in singes and drenched body drenched in blood.
"Sir Alastoooooor!" you whined bawling your eyes out.
He looks at you startled seeing your current state. He snaps his fingers, that then changes your clothes into new ones and got a towel for your face. His shadow discards the severed heads from your hands and comfortingly pets your head.
"All cleaned up now. Do you feel better?" he asks wiping your blood covered cheek with the tower giving you his charming grin.
You flush red, stopping from crying and nod your head at him.
He then bumps your heads together and says, "Good."

Breaking SJM news: a completely new series is (likely) on the way !!
Last night, I came across a veryyyy interesting YouTube video posted by Bloomsbury 4 weeks ago. Although the video was mostly super boring (talking numbers and finances), towards the end, we get this little nugget of information...
[Bloomsbury staff member]: "Regarding the timeline and future Sarah J Maas book releases, which are obviously very important to us... so her next title, which is the third in her Crescent City series, comes out on the 30th of January, 2024. So, that will fall into this financial year."
[Bloomsbury staff member]: "And thereafter, we have SIX further contracted titles -- so continuing this series, and STARTING A NEW SERIES AS WELL."
A new series! This likely goes hand-in-hand with the announcement made by Bloomsbury a couple of months prior, in which they stated that 4 additional SJM books were on the way (but curiously, no further details about these books were given...)
Although we don't know for sure, this is my guess as to what these 6 future SJM books are:
2 x ACOTAR books.
Then the 4 remaining, newly contracted books; the first being the final Crescent City book, House of Many Waters.
Leaving 3 x books for the new series (which makes perfect sense, as when starting a new series, SJM is always contracted for 3 books initially).
The question remains as to what exactly this new series may be. Which leads me to... Twilight of the Gods.
[SJM universe spoilers ahead!]
Back in 2015, SJM started a Pinterest board for 2 new book series that were connected in some way; one was Crescent City, and the other was called Twilight of the Gods.
Tumblr media
On her Twitter, SJM also mentioned that she had been working on both for quite a while, and that it was soon time to release them into the world.
Tumblr media
Around the same time, a series called 'Twilight of the Gods' was mysteriously added to SJM's official Goodreads catalogue.
Tumblr media
'Twilight of the Gods' is another term for Ragnarok; a famed tale of Norse mythology where the Gods and giants/demons across all worlds joined together to fight a giant battle that signified the end of the world.
Tumblr media
Thus, I believe that 'Twilight of the Gods' is SJM's next series; it will be a Ragnarok retelling, and all of the characters from TOG, ACOTAR and CC will join together for a cataclysmic battle against the Asteri, the Daglan, and the Valg (because lets not forget that Orcus and Mantyx are still unaccounted for...).
With this in mind, consider the numerous references to Norse mythology that SJM has already scattered throughout her books:
Feyre as Freya: Freya was perhaps one of the most renowned Norse goddesses, and was Queen.
Nesta, Emerie and Gwyn as the Valkyries: An obvious one, but the Valkyries originated from, and had a huge part to play in Norse Mythology (Ragnarok especially).
Lucien as Loki: According to Norse mythology, Loki is often depicted with long, red hair. He is also seen as a God of fire, and is commonly associated with foxes.
Danika (Fendyr) and Fenrys as Fenrir: Fenrir was a renowned monstrous wolf of Norse mythology. Fenrir being 'unleashed' is one of the key events of Ragnarok.
Hunt as Thor ('Thurr'): During Ragnarok, Thor has a famous battle against the 'Midgard Serpent.' Consider the snake that Hunt is holding on the cover of HOSAB.
Midgard: is the 'Earth' world in Norse mythology.
Hel (spelt the same way): Is the 'underworld' of Norse mythology.
Further, if you looked at SJM's "Twilight of the Gods" Pinterest board - before it was deleted - you'd see countless images of (Lady?) Thor, the Valkyries, Sailor Moon, and even the coffin that Maeve locked Aelin in... (that can't be a coincidence, right..?!) Some examples below:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
'Twilight' is also another word for 'Dusk'; considering the lost Dusk Court, and 'Dusk's Truth' (both of which are the centre of the upcoming crossover and broader multiversal narrative...) it matches up perfectly.
Tumblr media
Thus, I believe that the remaining ACOTAR and CC books will continue to add to the multiverse, bit by bit. And whilst they can still be read in a standalone fashion, my guess is that they will build up to a grand finale (perhaps the very last ACOTAR book will end with Aelin walking through a portal...?) and then Twilight of the Gods will begin.
If you thought Kingdom of Ash was epic... then Twilight of the Gods -- if correct -- is bound to blow us away (and, it might even put SJM's name in the history books).

MCYTs doodles
- Some designs are liable to change but ima make a list of which CCs and what I headcanon them as -
Doctor4t - Dullahan (Irish creature who could remove or was missing their head)
ClownPierce - Human/Demon/Dragon (don’t know yet so he’s mostly human for now)
OwengejuiceTV - Fae/Faerie with dragonfly wings
(Scott) Smajor - Basilisk (based off of The Owl House’s portrayal of the monster)
GoodTimesWithScar - Cat-based Centaur with some Fae/Elf features
(Max) Mithzan - Fire Elemental (not really seen but I like to imagine his hair can catch fire based on emotions)
Anyways, yeah I like monster/mythical mcyts (fun to draw)

Just poring over some of the new images. ◕‿◕
Tumblr media
Rogue Rook, Harding, Neve and Varric in Minrathous. A party of four temporarily, though the third non-Rook person is automatic and quest-related. Do you think this is Docktown (in Minrathous. the cranes or wooden pulleys give it that kind of impression) from another angle, or is Docktown in this image across the water from this point? Either way it's cool to see the same general location, in this case a city, both at night and during the day. It's raining and that makes me excited to experience different weather and environmental effects in different locations. :> Also the contrast of Minrathous in the rain here vs Minrathous when it's dry in the Docktown image. :> Maybe there is day/night cycles...?
Are the NPCs on the ground members of Tevinter society who live on the streets (there was an interactable NPC at the start of the gameplay reveal video whom it looked like Rook had the option of speaking to and giving a coin), or were they impacted during the attack of demons recently on this part of Minrathous and that's why they are on the ground? this scene looks to be from the same segment of gameplay as was shown in the gameplay reveal video, around the 10 minute mark. they have just 'recruited' Neve and are about to go and check out Solas' hideout beneath the statue on the right, Our Lady of Victory. the statue is of Andraste; one of her titles in the Chant of Light is Lady of Perpetual Victory. she has her arm outstretched as if hearing or beseeching the Maker. I'm interested to see more of Imperial/Tevene Andrastian belief and how it compares to the southern form of Andrastianism.
the magical 'neon' street lights and signs, rain, night-time, streets, etc remind me of this DA4 concept art, which we also know shows Minrathous. It's cool to see concept art realized as in-game art like this. in the center is a large tear in the Veil, like a gaping wound, which we know is caused as a result of Solas' ritual and which demons are coming through at this point. overhead is the floating building with its spotlights. I hope we can visit the floating building in the game. :D
is the long bridge a magic monorail or something, or just a bridge?
Tumblr media
In this image we see a bar or tavern-type place. from the filename where this was originally posted, we know this to be situated in Docktown, Minrathous. Could this be the bar where the game starts off in Minrathous (where Rook has the choice of intimidating a bartender or not), the bar in which Varric and Harding are taking part in a bar fight in in the character trailer? or maybe this is the Swan, the tavern Corinne mentioned as being in Minrathous which has good tavern music? an article also mentioned a pub in the streets of Minrathous which has a dozen NPCs in it and which is reached via a wide, winding pathway. probably at least two of these various bar/pubs are actually the same one being described/shown in a different way hh. :D the screenshot has Tevene-y touches in places, like the vases with snakes and snakey patterns on them and the pointy chairs.
now that we know that every NPC in the world apart from main characters like party members was made using the same CC as we will use to create Rook, I'm looking extra-hard with interest at NPCs in images of the game like these to try and see e.g. some of the hairstyles that there are. in this image for example it looks like multiple different hairstyles can be seen. there are human and elven NPCs present, and a bouncer or guard at the steps. a cat sits by the fire. near the middle on the table it looks like a hookah, which we've seen before in northern Thedas, like in Antiva. only, this one has snakes in its design. which, yeah, we're in Tevinter. ^^ (this also makes me think of the Viper and the Shadow Dragon faction snake symbol, and wonder where their base of operations is.. Docktown is Neve's home, and she's affiliated with the Shadow Dragons.)
Tumblr media
Necropolis Halls [known from a file name], Nevarra. a flock of bats or birds flies overhead. Is the ceiling here a ginormous rib-cage in design or am I just seeing things? :D I'm amazed by the scale, grandiosity, and verticality in the design here. in the foreground, the party is made up of mage qunari Rook holding a really cool staff, Lucanis and Emmrich. I feel like, of course taking Emmrich with you when you explore the Necropolis is a good idea!! from behind, Lucanis' cape getup look like folded corvid wings. qunari Rook has a cool robe or cape, and is that his kneeguard/boot or does Lucanis has a knife or dagger strapped to his lower leg? btw, how many knives does this guy have. :D he already fights with two swords/daggers, and it looks like he has a knife strapped to his chest in this image too. I wonder also if this is the same qunari Rook as here? their staff and horns look similar, but the hair color isn't right.
on the right, we can see urns which look like they have the top halves of skulls as their lids. the bottom row of teeth are present on the non-lid part of the urn. the same asset can be seen on the right and left of the foreground here, which going by that and the tall skeletons in the background like we can see in this image, is also a picture in the Necropolis. the giant skeleton/undead statues (not unlike here), dressed in tatters (maybe they are designed to evoke bandages, like the Nevarran mummification death practises?) look like they are maybe holding torches or lights at their chests, as they are lit from around there in sickly-green 'undead vibes' light. the way their arms and hands are placed look like a person who is resting in a coffin. and if you look at the texture of their chest/ribcages, it's the same as the texture on the pillars they are fixed to, as if the pillars are rows of bones/ribcage shapes from the ground to the ceiling.
especially after Down Among The Dead Men in TN, I've been itching to explore the Necropolis!! lets goo.
Tumblr media
Necropolis Halls again [known from a file name], Nevarra. the lighting here is different - it's darker, and the green necromancy-vibe lighting has increased. perhaps the previous Necropolis Halls image is from closer to the entrance of the place, and this one is deeper inside? the Necropolis has public open-air gardens and then lower crypts, to which access is restricted, deeper inside. it's eerie, like the vibe here, like that dragon dissection could be taking place just out of view through the green-lit doorway in this image. even the trees look dead and grasping.
maybe the green fire-torches here are Veilfire? and there are all kinds of vases and stuff - it gives the sense of canopic jars, like ancient Egyptians used to store viscera in during the mummification process, and of urns (Nevarrans prefer mummification to cremation ofc, but yea irl in the 'aesthetic vibes sense of a crypt full of undead', way, it reminds me of urns filled with peoples' ashes). when they said we would go to "to grim and gothic areas", one of the gothic-type ones was surely the Necropolis, right? ^^
this time the party looks to be human Rook, Harding and Neve. again the skeleton statues have the coffin-resting type pose, and the sense of bandages hanging from them and wound round their arms. and again the scale, verticality etc is amazing! the designs on the giant skull in the center interest me - is this just aesthetic design/Nevarran art, or is there an arcane aspect/function to it? lastly, from these two images it seems like maybe hexagons are an aspect of Nevarran art/design?

Time to have C!Techno headcannons!!!
Heyo, seems like finally I reached my 2nd favorite cc ever! I think techno's character is REALLY interesting, with great writing and details and I can definitely add some hc of my own in there, so without further ado, let's go!
(btw @syndicatedsystem you might like some of my headcannons involving Jschlatt and Techno I talk about here so yeah! Also feel free to discuss em' with me or make asks abt it, hell your blog inspires me a lot)
(I lost the name of the artist if anyone knows please tell me)
Tumblr media
• Techno has some braids in his hair, the longer, the more he values the person
Longest: Philza, it's braided with gold details
2nd longest: Ranboo, has a amethyst crystal for purple
Mid-term: Wilbur, he braided it in consideration of a battle friend and some good times with Will, he doesn't hate or likes Wilbur, but still can't deny they do have a connection
Shortest: Tommy.
• Techno prepared a space in the cabin for Tommy in case some day, his demons and the hell he was looking for, finally was found, he'd welcome Tommy with open arms, since he'd view that the kid suffered enough and had the time to change and face any consequences he'd need to face, the space is safe, always available, but, he'd never tell Tommy that, he keeps it hidden, he's not ready to be vulnerable to the demon child again and openly say Tommy could count on him, not until Tommy makes the first step.
• Keeps the pickaxe that blinded Quackity as a trophy, this and keeps all weapons from powerful enemies with him as a reminder of a great battle he won once again
• Likes to write poetry about people and events, he'd never give them to the person, but keep it in a dusty small box in his room in the attic of the cabin
• OKAY, LET'S ALL AGREE TECHNO IS ARO/ACE? GOOD.
• Techno was friends with Jschlatt before everything went to hell, they liked to talk about random bs while watching the fire crack at night and drink some cheap booze for Jschlatt and coffee for Techno
• I view Techno also having some boar traits, so yeah territorial as FUCK don't mess with his stuff or house, also he chases pray like crazy and can eat almost anything without a problem due to that
• Doesn't CARE for alcohol, just doesn't like the idea of having a hangover afterwards since he'd be unable to fight the next day
• Would gossip with Jschlatt, Tommy and the syndicate like, ABOUT EVERYTHING, I imagine him and Jschlatt favorite hobby is shit talking people they hate
• Techno being aro/ace also means if you flirt with him, he'll just stare at your soul and bully the shit out of you, sometimes calls Phil and/or Jschlatt to roast the shit out of the person, also WILL defend himself from any creeps and defend his friends from ANY strange people since for him touch is STRICTLY a death sentence and something that takes time
• Techno smokes when stressed or in the syndicate room, making Phil always carry an extra lighter for him just in case, the 2 used to be smoking buddies before Phil quit when he adopted Chayanne and Tallulah
• Techno in the QSMP is an entity, a god watching above everyone but never leaving Phil side and the eggs side, sometimes he'd talk to Tallulah directly, or influence Phil like a voice in his head to do the right thing in his vision or appear to Chayanne in his dreams to have a chat
• Can and will drink blood from the enemies
• Loves to talk about skulls and anatomy of the body in general, a dark fact, due to respect to Jschlatt, after he died (not considering revival, I view revival as either the decomposed body coming back to life in a LESS but STILL fucked up state or a kind of new body that is the users body in the afterlife coming to the alive realm, if you guys want, I can make a post about this) picked and kept Jschlatt sheep skull, with horns and everything
(art by sadist)
Tumblr media
• Would talk about historical wars and battles with his own analysis and commentaries on it, making a great history teacher
• totally collects greek mythology stuff, books, items, anything.
• Has a couple of tattoos but one that is pretty badass is a wither skull with red smoke on his ribs in the right, a tattoo of a emerald in the inside of his left wrist, a tattoo of a squid with a fork on it's head in reference to the potato war on his right wrist really tiny and "everything starts with blood" and "the voices demand blood" written in his tights
• My boy 100% has piercings due to piglin culture, around 75% of them being made of gold

How do you interpret the vengeful spirit/Cassidy thing then?
blame @birdsareblooming for pitching this to me and putting the thought in my head, but in the gameverse, we dont think cassidy/golden freddy kid is the vengeful spirit, we think the spirit is michael afton.
i wrote a whole essay on it that i'm gonna rework when i get back from work bc long story short cori also picked up on smth from the logbook that could add evidence to this, but basically michael:
died bc william sent him to sister location; it's implied william knew he was gonna die and sent him anyway ("it was right where you said it would be[...] then, they thought i was you. [scoffs]"); while william didn't directly kill him, it's clear that michael blames him more than the funtimes, who he just offhandedly says are "free now."
when he contacts william post-possession he very eerily says "i'm going to COME FIND YOU"; many of the vengeful spirit lines are stuff like "you knew i'd find you eventually"
proceeds to spend what is likely decades possessing his own decaying corpse and hunting down his father. that is some determination if i've ever seen it. he's the one william should not have killed bc he's the one who 1) knows who he is, 2) is willful enough to track him down like that, 3) is pissed at him enough to do shit like this
if we presume he's the fnaf3 guard, he then set his dad on fire
we KNOW the vengeful spirit was someone from the fnaf6 fire due to lines referencing the event; it's not henry because the spirit also refers to henry as "he." it's not charlie considering her puppet line of "stay out of my way," something that would be a bit hard to do if you were the one actively torturing. elizabeth was full on her dad's side in fnaf6. so it's either michael or the missing kids
and from a storytelling perspective it adds more oomph if it's michael, the character we've played as for several games (definitely fnaf1, 5 and 6, very likely 3 and it's speculated 4) rather than "dead kid #5 we literally know nothing about"
ALSO the line "is this a prison for you or me or both".... what did a 7yo dead kid do to think they deserve to be in hell with william? michael, however, who probably blames himself for cc's death, might feel that way. while working as the spirit, he's telling himself he's punishing his dad, but really he's self-harming himself and punishing himself for what he did to cc as a child, HENCE the golden freddy imagery. the twitching golden freddy is HIS torturous ghost, not william's
THEN in the old man consequences cutscene, omc tells him to "leave the demon to his demons, there is nothing for you here." what he's saying is that michael, unlike what he believes, DOES NOT deserve to go to hell like his dad, and once he accepts that and moves on, he can go to a better place, while william will still be left behind and tormented. the omc cutscene is where the afton story ends, with it ambiguous as to whether michael will continue torturing himself in the name of vengeance or will let go of his anger and self-hatred and move on to be with his siblings again
so yeah

tbh when I first played CC, I thought Genesis was more associated with demons rather than a phoenix. Between that red coat, crooked black wing, fire, and how he basically operated, I thought that while Sephiroth was a fallen hero who turned into something monstrous entirely, Genesis was a lil imp who was worsening the situation because fck Shinra (which is understandable but bro don’t screw over your friends)
It's difficult to get a read on Genesis. While I'm definitely seeing the Phoenix energy now in hindsight, he's really more of a personification of physical corruption. Even his WING is twisted and sickly. Might fit in with the demonic stuff you mentioned, especially to compliment Sephiroth as they are both, in a sense, "fallen angels".
As for him worsening the situation, I'm still affording Genesis SOME level of leniency because the Degradation Process was likely severely damaging his mind. Same with what happened to Angeal. They do some pretty nasty, terrible things, but they are both undergoing some form of brain damage from the Jenova cells. Genesis probably worst of all. I think there's more room for atonement for him than Seph, despite Sephiroth being more sympathetic. Sephiroth certainly has that situational grayness where we're still not completely sure if Jenova was influencing him, but his actions are still his own. Genesis, despite acting like more of an asshole, is at the full mercy of his sickness. Do I think they probably should have showed more of his good qualities before the degradation in order to cement the fact that he's not himself? VERY MUCH YES, and I hope maybe he gets to show it if he makes an appearance in First Soldier. But Crisis Core is give and take in terms of story quality. Nature of the game.

Long Acotar theory (Elain)
Spoilers all SJM books.
Elain is possessed.
The more I re-read I truly see Elaine being possessed by Koschei, but I do not however, think that is where he intends to stay.
I think Koschei wants to inhabit Azriel.
We hear a little in CC about Hunt's body being 'equipped' to deal with his lightning, or as we later find out Apollion's Helfire.
Bryce feels like overcooked meat in HOSAB at one point after being hit with Hunt's power, her body cannot handle it the way Hunt's can.
Is Azriel 'equipped' to hold Koschei?
Is this the only way Koschei may escape his Lake prison? To have a body able to hold him long-term?
I feel like a lot of things would make sense if Azriel were another child of Apollion, perhaps even biologically unlike Hunt. There has been a mention in the other 2 series of there being a specific day in which the veil between worlds is thinnest.
Samhuinn in TOG
Death's Day in CC
Could Starfall be something similar?
If so, would it be possible for Apollion to have physically been with Azriels mother, in order to conceive him? He did touch Bryce on Death's day in CC, but that was in a dream.
It would however make sense of the different ways in which Cassian and Azriel were treated when they were young. They are both bastards, Azriel apparently being a local Lords bastard.
Cassian however was thrown into a camp like garbage when he could walk. Azriel on the other hand was contained.
Azriel's mother was a servant of this local Lord, was he perhaps the only male in the area that people would have believed could have had access to her, to make her with child? Perhaps, but let's imagine he knew that wasn't the case..
With the Illyrians being described as 'backward' and their superstitious culture, that we see when Nesta is being questioned about her cycle and burying weapons, would it be fair to think that these two bastard boys where treated so differently because this local Lord and his wife thought not to imprison Azriel out of cruelty (which of course it is) but to 'protect' everyone else?
Rhys notes his half brothers had not been forthcoming about Azriel's time with them when they'd met.
We do learn in Cresent City that Dragonfire is one of the only things that can harm a Prince of Hel.
Azriel being burned when he was a boy was again just portrayed as a evil mindless cruelty, but again if we look through the lens of his 'family' seeing him as sort of Demon, could they have actually thought of fire as way to kill him?
Bryce actually thinks of Azriel as a Demon when they first meet, because she was trying to get to Hel, true, but a possible nod to parentage as I believe Apollion is the only Prince we've seen so far with leathery wings.
If Apollion where to reproduce in the more physical sense might it be necessary for him to be with someone who might safely bare a child with wings, a horrid thought definitely, but with the way that the creation of Hunt is revealed in HOFAS, I don't think it likely that Azriels mother would have been forced or 'ill used' is the phrase Aidas uses, infact Apollion looks at Aidas with compassion he speaks of Theia, perhaps Apollion knows more of being in love than we've yet to see.
So, let's say Hunt got Apollion's Helfire and a body equipped to deal with it, perhaps Azriel got Apollion's Shadows/Darkness and a body equipped to deal with that.
Koschei is never described to us as having a true physical form, Cassian says they 'can make out nothing of him beyond the shadows of his form.'
Perhaps if the Weaver was tricked into diminishing her power, Koschei was outsmarted out of a body that could truly hold him?
It does remind me a lot of Harry Potter, with Voldemort probably being based off the myth of Koschei the deathless, Koschei removes his soul from himself and places it somewhere else and therefor he cannot be killed, in HP these were the horcruxes and Voldemort had 7 of them.
He also inhabitanted the bodies of snakes, until he happened upon a wizard, Quirrel, whom posseses but is still ill equipped to hold him, he required a true body.
Could this be what is happening to Elain?
Elain and Nesta had been put into the cauldron and Made High Fae, when Feyre returns from the spring court in Acowar, she goes to see her sisters, there's mentions of the connecting suite they have, and all the windows in there, Elain is stood by the window.
And the words: empty, hollow, void, vacancy and shell are used all in quite a small passage.
Of course they could easily be used to describe how Feyre perceives Elain coping, or not coping with her trauma.
But could they also be hints at what is happening at the window?
All 3 of SJMs series mention some sort of 'wind talking' usually the wind whispers things to people. Could this be literal? Vassa mentions Koschei planting words in courts through 'whispers on the wind'
Could the wind have been whispering to Elain by the window? Filling her with Koscheis sinister presence?
Maybe it has something to do with unknown bargain made by the Archeron Father for Vassa's temporary freedom. Possibly something that his bloodline could inherit after his death, unbeknownst to him. Rhys notes the spell on Vassa seems woven into her very blood. Perhaps the Acheron Father bargained to be a host of some sort, or something as open-ended just helping Koschei to get off his Lake. Magical bargains have to be quite specific, he may not have known this.
Of the three sisters though, Feyre is a daemati with a solid mental shield.
Nesta, was resistant to magic and Tamlin's glamour when she was human, so I'd say he'd have no chance with her.
But Elain... Feyre says, "she had no mental shields, no barriers."
Easier to inflitrate, possibly posses.
Then take a look at Elain's power 'a seer' Azriel says.
I don't believe she is, Elain begins to talk in these 'half riddles' as Nesta calls them weeks after coming out of the cauldron. It's actually specified that it started after Elain was found to have left her room, the morning after Nesta had left her alone for the longest time after being Made. She was found in front of the window in the HoW private library.
So far, most of Elain's visions have been Koschei related, Vassa the Firebird, his onyx box, and ones of Briallyn who was working with Koschei. Even Hyberns twin Ravens made mention of speaking to Briallyn.
They all tie back to Koschei.
Could the heartbeat Elain is hearing 'through the stone' while she sleeps, not actually be a heart at all, but something just as vital? A soul perhaps? In a stone box?
Again to go back to Harry Potter. Harry was a horcrux, a portion of Voldemorts soul was inside him and he could see for a time, when his mind was vulnerable into Voldemorts mind. It was unintentional at first, but later used against Harry by planting things in his mind. Ginny is also possessed by a horcrux and does things she doesn't remember doing.
This could be similar, I in no way believe that Elain is evil, perhaps being manipulated while she is vulnerable, from her trauma or while she's sleeping like HP, until Koschei is really able to sink his claws into her. We know SJM says that Elain has 'different kind of strength'
Feyre says this too in ACOWAR, "a different sort of strength, a better strength"
Elain has fight in her. Not a blade weilding warrior strength but maybe a strength to keep fighting something internally, something trying to control her, the strength to not give up.
There's an interview in ACOFAS in which SJM says:
"Elain's now going to have dreams about ripping ivy out and the ivy creeping through the windows to strangle her at night, because let me tell you that ivy does not want to go"
With this theory I find the wording of the ivy creeping in through the window rather interesting.
It's also quite like how Feyre describes her old bedroom in the Spring Court in ACOWAR. She says the bedroom has become a tomb.
What if Elain's own mind has become like a tomb for her, and it is there that she is 'ripping at the ivy' trying to get free? Using her considerable 'different' kind of strength to keep going, keep fighting.
Seer's powers can be useful to authors as a plot device, but they can also become a bit of a problem and authors find a way to temper their power. Sometimes using this 'talking in riddles' to make it interesting for readers, without actually revealing too much. Trelawny does this in HP, she also doesn't even realise she's making actual prophecies. Or take Alice in Twilight, it's a great power, but there comes a point in a story where it becomes a problem having a character that can see any outcome. So voilà she can't 'see' the werewolves!
I think with Elain, it's possible she just isn't a seer.
And Luicien, not Azriel, was the one who right about her, she needs sunshine. Sunshine to drive out the darkness.
Or perhaps Sunfire?
I like to think Luicien will have Sunfire powers. We've had literally every other kind of fire there is. Normal fire, Shadow fire, Dragonfire, Helfire, Moonfire, Starfire...and as Bryce said, the sun is a star.
Briallyn does make that weird comment to Nesta in ACOSF about Eris:
"His fire wouldn’t have withstood Koschei’s lake, I don’t think."
To me that really says there's someone out with with fire that can withstand it. And That someone is surely Lucien, perhaps mixing his Autumn Court power with his Day Court power.
He could have the type of power to stand up to Koschei, or simply just spending time with Elain would lead him to figure out something is wrong.
Which would make Elain's reluctance to entertain him one bit, explainable. (Of course not the only explanation possible)
SJM did after all write a scene with Aelin possessed in EoS, and the only thing able to stop her was her Mate.
Lucien's willingness to endanger himself by venturing out to help the person Elain is seeing in her 'visions' so that they were not happening to her in vain, whilst giving her space seems far more Mate like to me, than just pointing out an apparent power that she has then doing nothing about it.
I do hope Luicen has help from the Valkyries too.
Emyrs, resident story-keeper of TOG apparently told tales of "shield maidens and enchanted animals and cunning sorcerers"
Sounds very much like the Valkyries, and Koschei..
And we know Nesta would without a doubt come to Elain's aid if needed.
Koschei also enables people with power of winnowing, he winnows Cassian and Briallyn in ACOSF, without leaving his lake.
Have we been seeing Elain use this power? She may be powerful enough to winnow in her own right but she was untrained the time she stepped out of a shadow to kill the King of Hybern. She's mentioned to have become quite stealthy in the time since. People don't hear her approach, things like that.
Could Koschei have also used HIS power to find the Suriel?
I find it very interesting that when Elain does this for Feyre in ACOWAR, the following conversation between Feyre and the Suriel makes mention of the Suriel not expecting to see Elain's doe eyes peering at him from across the world, and immediately following, there's talk of the Bone Carver, and how the Suriel CANNOT see him? Because he is not of this world. It would follow suit then that the Suriel also could not see Koschei, even if it was his power used through Elain to find him?
Perhaps Koschei needs a body that is not entirely of this world, and Azriel has been described as other, different.
If Koschei has possessed Elain, he could be using her to get vital information on the IC, and Nesta for Briallyn, as well as using her to pursue Azriel.
She might be perhaps forced to see him, once a month when she's supposedly visiting her father's grave alone? Cassian also notes he doesn't quite believe her having to be up early to tend to an elderly faeries garden, but this was after they'd had a monthly court dinner and much wine was consumed... What was discussed? Did someone spill something important?
Something that also nagged at me but could be me reading too much into it is, the line where Briallyn tells Nesta her spies (plural) have told her who Nesta's friends are, 'The half-breed and the broken Illyrian'
True, Bellius does refer to Gwyn and Emerie similarly later on in the text. But at this point in the story, Gwyn hasn't left the HoW Library in 2 years. No one is going to be able to spy on that house from the outside without someone finding out. I doubt Emerie would have chatted with Bellius about her friendship with Nesta and Gwyn, or Gwyn's race. So perhaps a spy in the library that knows Gwyn and knows she's become friendly with Nesta?
Elain however was present, when Cassian was telling the rest of the IC about about Nesta becoming a Valkyrie, it would make sense to mention Gwyn and Emerie, maybe a few details about them? Possible stretch but still stood out to me, bolstered a little by Briallyn "There are others in your court as delusional as you are. They’ll get it for me one way or another, with the right incentive." Could this mean Elain? She would be the only one capable of summoning the trove to her I think?
There's also the wood carving of a rose Nesta places on the mantle, half hidden in shadow next to a female holding the moon, perhaps the mother.
Hinting at Elain spying on Nesta? Nesta does have a connection with the mother and we can make a connection between her fire and the moon fire wielded by Aelin in EoS, while possessed by Deanna.
I think a heartbreaking theme of Elain's storyline could be quite like the line where she says to Lucien:
"No one ever does. No one ever looked - not really." "He did. He saw me. He will not now."
She's refering to Grayson here but I think it will become true of everyone and it will be so sad, until Lucien sees what's happening, he doesn't know her at all yet, but they are mates and perhaps if he had the opportunity to really investigate what was on the other side of that mating bond without Elain jumping up, he could see what was potentially lurking in her.
People see what they want or expect to see with Elain, Rhys even states 'Elain is Elain.'
On my rereads I found it interesting how when reading ToD, specifically about Duva my mind compared her a lot to Elain.
Duva is lovely, gentle, kind, feminine, unthreatening, both loved the most by their fathers. But always watching.
She also had a brand new arranged marriage with a man who did not know her well enough to realise something was amiss.
Perhaps the real 'lightsinger' isn't a lightsinger at all, but is still a 'lovely, ethereal being who will lure you, appearing as friendly faces when you are lost. Only when you’re in their arms will you see their true faces, and they aren’t fair at all.'
Maybe Elain is luring Azriel, because he is lost now, both his brothers have their mates and he is adrift.
And when she finally gets a hold of him, it won't be Elain's grasp he is in, but Koschei's.
Interestingly, when Duva was healed by Yrene in ToD the Valg that was possessing her left her body in the form of a black shadow or mist coming out of her mouth.
Perhaps we could have seen something similar had Rhys not interrupted Elain and Az's near kiss at solstice in his BC, we know his shadows skittered back as she sucked in a breath. Just a thought.
Elain's solstice gifts to Az are interesting too. Especially because they include a powder that SJM makes a point of reminding us he hasn't actually taken it.
In theory it could be anything. Something incapacitating perhaps? And again SJM having actually written about a Mate pulling another out of possession it gives the earplugs an interesting slant.
It's possible however that there might something that is aware however primal, that is aware of the presence in Elain.
The Mask.
Its makes sense to think that Nesta's relationship with her sisters completely healed, it probably isn't, which is why the silver flame in Nesta's eyes flared in HOFAS. But flaring immediately after Elain's name is mentioned whilst wearing a death mask...
Maybe the mask has an awareness of such things, a deathless sorcerer might be an affront to such an powerful item.
I think it's so much more likely that Elain will have Life powers. Nesta took Death it makes sense for Elain to be gifted Life, probably in the form of earth magic, I could see her using it to bring the bog of Oorid back to it's former glory, before it died when Fionn was Killed.
As far as ships go I'm firmly Gwynriel and Elucien.
And if Azriel was a son of Apollion I think it would fit quite nicely in the way SJM likes to mirror mates/endgame pairings.
Az and Gwyn would fit a very interesting
'Holy/Unholy' vibe, a part Prince of Hel and a Priestess.
And potentially Earth goddess and Sun god magic, for Elain and Lucien.
Very Solas and Cthona.
If this is a route that SJM takes the next book it also kind of undos the "four books of build up" that Elain and Az apparently have, as Elain would have been stripped of choice, and Azriel manipulated.
I want to state that I in no way WANT Elain to have been struggling with something nobody even notices this whole time, especially with the violation she's already been through, but I think a storyline like this could really speak to the gift we already know for a fact she does have:
"To look at the hardness of the world and choose, over and over, to love, to be kind. She had been always so full of light."

Stuck in Limbo, or "You don't really leave super hell."
okay. let's go over what happened last night in the Skyblock Kingdoms Community Discord.
that sounds ominous. it's not anything bad! what happened is that in the lead-up to releasing his new song, Limbo, Avid decided to drop some story info that he's already been hinting at. a few things have been confirmed and a few things have been debunked.
i consider my job to be "lore archivist", and seeing as this all happened on discord i want to make sure anybody not in the discord is able to at least get the gist of it. SO: what exactly did Avid confirm and debunk?
let's start with this: Avid isn't getting out of Limbo.
okay, no, sorry, that's clickbait, that's not actually what we're starting with because i'm scrolling back in the lore-discussion channel and we get a different reveal first. so let's talk about the Nameless King of Incendium real fast first.
ive been speculating for a bit that the Nameless King is Avid's boss, and that he's responsible for Avid getting fished up out of Limbo. Avid has alluded to it before, but we now have confirmation on who the Nameless King is: they're Olm, the main antagonist of his adventure map Avid Adventures.
Tumblr media
so... what is Olm doing here?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh. that'd do it. (side note: Xaleem is another antagonist in Avid Adventures that's stuck in a dimension called Otherside. they're beefing.)
this means that Olm was using Avid to get rid of the Dark Lord / Demon of Darkness, and then presumably dunked Avid into Limbo for fun-- they have a history of tormenting Avids.
Avid also confirmed that Olm isn't the other person in the song that's helping Avid escape Limbo (...okay, yeah, i'm getting why the "cc!name" thing caught on) and that it's someone else, and followed that up with...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
again, context: Trog bungee jumped down into the Void as part of a ritual, but while down there they spotted a shadowy figure calling out for help and sobbing. before they could reach out to it and try to help, they were hit by the research station's beam and dragged back up out of the Void.
so where is Limbo?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
there's a risk every time you fall into the Void that you could fall all the way and end up in Limbo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and now we get to the bombshell that sparked this post:
Tumblr media
the chat, uh, exploded. Avid didn't say anything else on this topic besides "More to come", but the song dropped not long after and has added fuel to several fires. WE HAVE ENTERED A NEW ERA OF WILD MASS GUESSING.
im going to avoid putting my own theories in here, because this is supposed to be informative instead of another "Leo loses their mind" moment. but i will pull up another quote, from back at the start of the discord being open:
Tumblr media
wait no actually not that one but im keeping that in here anyways because "STUCK, HUH? I SEE." anyway:
Tumblr media
You don't really leave super hell.

PSA regarding cultural exchange and internet culture. Its a rant but its something that needs to be said
I'm already seeing the Qsmp admins calling for understanding and patience with the announcement of the Korean CCs that will be joining, and it frustrates the hell out of me that any of it needs to be said because people on the internet are so poisoned by cancel culture that this opportunity to engage with Korean culture is beginning with stress.
Its an issue that extends far past this server unfortunately, the modern standard for morality on the internet is insanely unrealistic and honestly very anti-human. So many people, most people actually, do problematic things in life and make mistakes, which is completely normal. Its how we are and how we're supposed to be, its how we learn and grow. But having someone get dogpiled/harassed online and potentially even risk losing a career for saying or doing something vaguely problematic that they should be encouraged to learn from is so incredibly harmful and makes the online place more toxic than communal.
There's a legitimate line to draw between something we should encourage someone to reflect upon and a genuinely irredeemable act, and if you can't tell the difference you then shouldn't be speaking about it online. To all the people who dramatize an easily fixable situation, you're part of the problem of people not knowing how the fuck to act when there's miscommunication, differences of opinion or people doing/having done something problematic but not ill-intentioned. Genuinely good people are being either pressured off the online space or terrified to ever make a mistake because people who don't touch enough goddamn grass are so drama-addicted that they make a situation negative when it literally never needed to be. You're toxic and you're making everyone else toxic, the problem is not the person who accidentally said something offensive in ignorance but is willing to learn from that, nor the person who misunderstood a situation and could be convinced to reflect on their actions, the problem is you, adding unnecessary fuel to the fire and blowing shit out of proportion when it could be resolved so much easier. If you're someone who does this, I hate to sound like a boomer but holy shit you should be ashamed of yourself. There's enough bad in the world as is, stop posting and do better.
And here's the funny part, and I don't care how many people this pisses off: current online cancel culture is xenophobic as fuck. People in different cultures have different ways of life, and though that doesn't necessarily excuse some of what goes on in other nations, the current standard for "dealing" with culture clashing takes no account to how someone's culture can make them act differently than you, and they shouldn't be demonized for it even if some of what they do isn't the best. People from multi-ethnic backgrounds, especially children of immigrants, understand that some of our parents say the most cancellable shit imaginable but are still good people at heart. Strangers online wouldn't understand that at all, and their need to complain about everything online with such hostility and lack of nuance would and is doing the exact opposite of what it should be doing; instead of getting people to see different perspectives and learn why their behavior can be harmful to others, thus encouraging them to do better, online witch hunting either drives them away from wanting to interact with anyone, and/or actively pushes them further down problematic avenues where they aren't demonized for harmful behavior.
I am so sick and tired of everything thinking cancel culture is normal, because it is so incredibly not. Its exhausting seeing the same thing play out over and over as someone who's actually interacted with people of different ages, gender and ethnicities, and who knows what these people are like in their hearts, while also knowing the internet would eat them alive without a second thought to who they are or why they act the way they do.
People say and do problematic things, it doesn't mean they're bad people. It means they're human. I encourage everyone to remember that.

ABOUT MC
This is my interpretation of 'MC' from Obey Me. If you dislike it, do not roleplay with me or follow my threads.
🖤 Goes by 'MC', Maine, or CC. In my interactions, 'MC' is a nickname they goes by, an abbreviation for their real name (which they do not divulge). 🖤I interpret them as panromantic demisexual. 🖤MC goes by they/them or she/her pronouns. 🖤MC loves anime. They are actually an otaku like Levi. She has shown him some of her favorite anime. 🖤MC likes cats. They have a small scar on their wrist from when, despite Lucifer's insistence that the animals in Devildom were NOT like the animals of Earth, they tried to pet a demon cat. Mammon thought it was funny, but when he posted the video, it back-fired and the brothers pretty much tried to murder him for a week. 🖤Spicy food fanatic, constantly trying to eat spicy foods. Once they passed out trying to outeat Beel in a spice tolerance competition. 🖤Likes art and drawing and such. An ambiverted couch potato. Can and has drawn on Belphie's face before when he was sleeping. Faceclaim: Waguri Kaoruki : The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity

In light of Bloomsbury announcing 4 more SJM books, let's not forget about SJM's other planned series...
Twilight of the Gods.
[SJM universe spoilers!]
Back in 2015, SJM started a Pinterest board for 2 new book series that were connected in some way; one was Crescent City, and the other was called Twilight of the Gods. On her Twitter, SJM mentioned that she had been working on both for quite a while, and that it was soon time to release them into the world.
Tumblr media
Around the same time, a series called 'Twilight of the Gods' was mysteriously added to SJM's official Goodreads catalogue.
Tumblr media
'Twilight of the Gods' is another word for Ragnarok; a famed tale of Norse mythology where the Gods and giants/demons across all worlds came together to fight a giant battle that signified the end of the world.
Tumblr media
Thus, I believe that 'Twilight of the Gods' is SJM's next series; it will be a Ragnarok retelling, and all of the characters from TOG, ACOTAR and CC will join together for a cataclysmic battle against the Asteri and the Valg (because lets not forget that Orcus and Mantyx are still unaccounted for...).
'Twilight' is also another word for Dusk; considering the lost Dusk Court, and 'Dusk's Truth' - it matches up perfectly.
SJM also used to have a Pinterest dedicated to Twilight of the Gods, and although it is deleted now, @oohthefeels on tumblr made a post back in 2016, explaining what was on there:
Tumblr media
The cool ass armour in question:
Tumblr media
Ultimately, I personally believe that SJM has been planning everything for a long time - and that her plans for the multiverse are so much greater than she's telling us.
And a full crossover multiverse series? I for one, think that would be epic.
