@lizard-spams-your-dash-too prompted Shadow and Sonic learn how to use a blender together
also on ao3
///
This isn’t like the blender Rouge owns, or like the one in the G.U.N. breakroom. It seems mismatched, but exactly how, Shadow can’t tell. He’s never seen a simple kitchen appliance look so… complicated.
He’s been trying to branch out, try new things. It’s why he’s here, in Tails’ workshop in Mystic Ruins despite the fact that it’s hot and humid and that he doesn’t even need to be here. Omega wanted to discuss some things with the fox. Rouge suggested he accompany them. Shadow wants to be anywhere but here, but Rouge had that look about her, the one that usually preceded her pushing his buttons just to see him snap, so here he is, in Tails’ small, rag-tag kitchen.
Muffled conversation filters through the walls of the workshop as he holds the blender up, twisting it this way and that. It has more buttons than what he thinks is necessary, and none of them are labeled.
A crash comes from the other room, and Shadow flicks an ear as the voices rise for a few seconds, before a door opens and slams shut. A single set of footsteps walk towards the kitchen, and Shadow resists the urge to groan, instead setting the blender back on the counter, grabbing his bag of coffee beans and pouring some into the blender’s cup.
“Shadow, hey!” Sonic calls out, sounding happily surprised, as if they hadn’t seen each other ten minutes ago. “Whatcha doing?”
“What does it look like I’m trying to do?” He snaps. “Why aren’t you with the others?”
“I got kicked out!” He says it as if it’s an achievement, swinging himself up onto the countertop, kicking his legs like a kid. Shadow shuffles to put more space between them, but Sonic doesn't get the hint as he leans closer to peer into the blender. "Making something?"
"No," he answers automatically, and Sonic just raises a brow in response. "Fine. Yes. Coffee."
"Yeah, makes sense," Sonic says, leaning back again, and Shadow bristles - what is that supposed to mean? "Well, don't let me stop you."
An awkward pause settles over them as Shadow stares at the blender and Sonic stares at Shadow.
“...this is different from the blender I normally use.”
Sonic laughs. “Yeah, Tails probably modified it.” He picks the blender up, turning it around in his hands. “I don’t think I’ve seen this one before, but it looks normal enough? If he's left it in the kitchen it should be fine to use for food."
Shadow very suddenly isn't sure if he wants to use it anymore. He wants his coffee beans back.
"Give that back," he says, making a grab for it, but Sonic twists out of his way. The coffee beans rattle against each other as he jumps down from the counter.
"I think I got how to turn it, you just kinda-" He slams a hand on top of the lip, pushing down hard enough that the plastic of the cup starts to buckle. Shadow catches his wrist before he can start poking at random buttons.
“What are you doing? Leave it-”
“You said you wanted help, so I’m helping!”
“I did not ask for help.” Shadow tries to shove him away, but Sonic stubbornly stays hunched over the machine. “Give me my coffee back.”
Sonic snorts. “I’m just turning it on, then you can have your nasty-”
Shadow shoves him again, and this time Sonic shoves back, slapping his hands away and going back to jamming down random buttons. Shadow snarls and grabs the blender by its base, dragging it back towards himself, but Sonic refuses to let go.
“Get out of the way-”
“No, just let me-”
Something clicks, and the machine roars to life.
Shadow flinches back, startled by the sudden, surprisingly aggressively loud noise, but he still has his hand hooked around the handle. The blender jerks, almost toppling, and Sonic frantically makes a grab for it.
He smacks it away from the edge of the counter, and it clatters back and hits the wall instead. The cup’s knocked loose, and the blender starts shuddering apart, the grinding noise raising to a painful shriek. Sonic shouts as it starts to cough up grounded coffee, throwing out his hands like he wants to smother the machine.
Shadow yanks the plug from the power point. The noise dies.
Finely grounded coffee coats almost every surface - the counter, the walls, themselves. A small handful remains in the cup of the blender, laying on its side pathetically. The kitchen seems deathly silent; Shadow can almost hear his heart beat in his chest.
“Well!” Sonic says, taking a step back and clapping his hands together. Coffee falls from his gloves like dust. “That didn’t go too bad!”
Shadow glares at him.
“No, seriously! There’s still some in the cup - you can get at least one drink out of that. Here, I’ll grab the milk and ice-”
“Why would I want milk and ice?”

BEFORE YOU FOLLOW KARMA’S BLOG!
⌗ dni if you’re a racist, a minor, homophobic, xenophobic, kinkshamer, fatphobic, sexist, cannot sperate fiction from reality, or just an asshole in general. we’re all here to be horny and read.
⌗ minors get an immediate block. please do not interact with me or my works if you aren’t 18 or older. i’m not your parent, so if you want to disrespect people’s boundaries, that’s your problem. i can’t control who views my work, but if i catch you, (a minor) lurking my blog, you’re getting blocked.

⌗ beware of potential manga spoilers on my blog
⌗ do not spam like. spamming 5+ times excessively without a single reblog risks you the chance of getting blocked.

⌗ i don’t allow criticism on my writing on my blog so please refrain from doing so! it will be deleted.
⌗ do not bring discourse or drama to my blog. especially about other writers. it will be deleted and ignored.
⌗ i joke and use mature language a lot. don’t take what i say on the dash seriously. all jokes.
⌗ if you don’t like my work, that’s fine! but don’t come into my inbox saying things of the sort. i understand my writing isn’t for everyone. block me. it‘s real simple.
⌗ i may come off as flirty with interactions, but it’s all platonic.
⌗ don‘t call me outside of my name. ( pet names for me are okay !! ) please address me as “karma.” “karmana” is fine too. i won’t tolerate someone calling me a “bitch” or “whore” unless we’re close moots + irls. i’d rather not get called derogatory names by random strangers on the internet.
⌗ i have the right to block any mutual. if you hard block me, i’ll hard block you back. if i block you on my end, it could be for a variety of reasons: (i’m uncomfy, spamming discourse on dash, spam liker, etc.) it‘s nothing personal at the end of the day, and we are all complete strangers on the internet.
-> finished? head towards rules to see what i will/will not write.

I haven’t seen any likescolding. I probably don’t follow those tumblrs.
But I should say that I have configured XKit to filter out reblogs with no added content with the exception of finds blogs.
I subscribe to your content. I didn’t subscribe to a bunch of other people’s content that I might or might not like just because you like it. I’d be happy if folks reblogged a post or two for publicity, but plenty of folks reblog EVERYTHING from their favorite writers. Before I set up the XKit filter, I could get 4-5 copies of the same post on my dash for blogs I’d ALREADY SUBSCRIBED TO.
I also hate timezone reblogs. Most folks tag those appropriately, so I had that tag blocked before
I just want a clean feed of the people I subscribed to. Since enabling reblogs is just a spam-fest, I find most of my new-to-me simblrs from the comments section of other simblrs I like.
At any rate, this is just a cranky rant saying that reblogging tons of stuff isn’t the huge favor some folks think it is.
Just inhabit your simblr. Don’t try to be everyone else’s publicity engine. That doesn’t really help the community.

It’s so weird that tumblr is showing reblogs in the tags again. That hasn’t been a thing since like 2012 and I remember they took it away because of the way people would “tag whore” as we called it aka reblog a bunch of the same posts with a mile of unrelated tags to try and gain more of an audience. I also don’t know if it’s still a thing, but iirc that was also the reason that only the first 5 tags on an original post would show up in the search because people would spam so much. It forces you to choose your first 5 tags wisely and then you could babble to yourself in the extra ones. It’s probably not a thing anymore considering all the tags the bots use to infiltrate every tag imaginable. Anyway, gonna see if there’s a way to filter that out since I go into the tags for the purpose of finding original posts; if I want to see reblogs they’ll be on my dash.

❤︎ this blog is not spoiler free (i tag spoilers for new chs/eps only), writes and interacts with both nsfw and dark content. it is absolutely not a safe space for minors, and if you are under the age of eighteen, please do not follow me or attempt to interact with my content.
❤︎ do not interact with me or my content if you are racist / believe in reverse-racism, fatphobic, ageist, lgbtqa+ phobic, pro-life, pro-ana, are a blog that romanticizes eating disorders and/or self harm, send hate to creators, etc. if you support israel in ANY WAY or you are neutral in the face of genocide, fuck right off. i will not be discussing this or explaining myself so don’t even bother.
❤︎ i age up / timeskip fictional characters in my writings! they are all 21+. if you are against this, do not follow me or interact with my content please. they are nothing more than story devices, not real people. i won't ever engage in discourse on this so don't bother trying.
❤︎ have your age visible with an age indicator to follow. "not a minor" is not enough information and will be blocked. if your blog is completely blank/ageless, you will be blocked.
❤︎ honestly dni if you post negative things about characters just because they’re trending and you want to be different <3 it’s annoying and draining to see don’t be a party pooper :(

❤︎ if i break mutuals with you and you are blocked, there are no hard feelings between us on my end. most likely, it was because i want to keep a positive, drama free environment on my dash/blog and if you're a generally messy person, you're not someone i want to be around <3
❤︎ please do not call me out of my name. pet names are okay i love them !!!! but i am highly uncomfy with being referred to by derogatory names such as "bitch" "slut" "dumbass" "whore" by literal strangers on the internet.

Tumblr for Those That Just Got Here or Have Forgotten How it Works
Hey so I thought I’d make my own version of Tumblr 101 posts because why not right? The more the better!
First things first! The most important thing to know is there is no algorithm. What does this mean? It means Tumblr doesn’t push content at you. There is no behind the scenes system deciding what to put on your dashboard. Instead, what you see on your dash is only from the people you follow. This essentially means that the algorithm is us. The users. In order to get posts seen by more people, the post needs to be reblogged. Reblogging is the bottom left icon on posts that looks like two arrows and is inbetween the ‘comment’ button and the ‘like’ button.
Reblogging posts doesn’t require you to add anything to it. You don’t need to add a comment or even tags if you don’t want to so there’s no pressure to try and contribute anything to the conversation. Adding tags is not the same as a comment. The person you reblogged from will see them, but tags are typically used for organisation purposes and for saying nice things about the content you’ve just reblogged, without it being visible to everyone. It’s like passing a note to the creator to tell ‘em what you think about their stuff so feel free to do that.
With this all in mind, liking a post does not help visibility. With there being no algorithm, reblogs are the only way to help a post get seen and are appreciated much more than a like or a comment.
Now, one more thing about reblogs is they’re not the same as reposting. Reposting something is when you copy and paste a post and then repost it on your own blog. For example, if you’ve saved an image an artist made and then made a new post with it in, you are reposting. Attention will go to you and not the artist and is considered theft. This applies to all forms of content, be it writing, artwork, music, whatever. Reblogging allows people to interact with the original post through you. All those thousand note posts? Yeah the original poster got notified for every single one of those even if they were likes on someone else’s reblog.
Reblog whatever sparks joy! You don’t need a reason, you don’t need to even really think about it! Reblog whatever makes you smile, whatever you want to share, whatever feels important, whatever makes you life, whatever you think deserves more love, reblog whatever sparks joy!
Moving on, you need to know about the tagging system. This is how you find new people to follow, how you organise your own blog and how you filter content without unfollowing or blocking someone. The tags are the greyed out #’s beneath the main post. You can block any tag you like in your filtering settings and you can search for these tags across all of Tumblr and on just your blog. This means it’s important to tag properly and not tag things that are not in the post. That is considered spam and is a reportable offence so be aware. It’s also important to tag triggers and harmful content. For example, if your post contains flashing lights, it needs to be tagged as containing such so that epileptics can properly filter it.
Tags also function as a way to say things to the original poster without it being a comment, but I already talked about that so moving on.
On Tumblr, You are anonymous! People only know what you tell them here. There’s no visible follower counts, no one checks what posts you’ve liked, you can anonymously send asks to blogs that allow that, people can’t find you from Facebook or your email address, this is Bloggers Anonymous. You are what you say you are and it’s a fun guessing game if you want to know more about someone.
Next up, more on the dashboard! There’s a few things to say about this. First of all, like I said I said early, the content you see is only from the people you follow with the exception of blazed posts and ads. Blazed posts are posts that someone has paid to have spread to other blogs. These do not follow an algorithm either so I suggest an ad-blocker of some sorts to avoid them, just in case. Other than that, what you see is entirely curated by you. If you don’t like the discourse? Unfollow whoever’s reblogging it. If your dash is a little slow? Follow some more people. If it’s too fast? Unfollow someone. Someone reblogs politics but otherwise has a pretty good blog that you like? Filter various common politics tags in your settings and you won’t have to look at them. It’s entirely within your control so have fun with it! Your dashboard is yours and yours alone!
We do have some rules though. Do not interact with brand posts. With people abandoning other social medias, that means companies will soon try and make their mark here. No one wants them here. Ignore them. Use an ad-blocker to avoid them but if you see them? Ignore them. We will starve them off of this platform. Any attention is good attention to them, so give them nothing.
Last thing for now, every account can have several sideblogs associated with it. This is pretty normal and these aren’t just one person with a bunch of different accounts. You can create sideblogs for different interests you have all with one account with only a few drawbacks. You cannot comment and you cannot send asks as your sideblog identity, only your main blog. There’s no harm in having a bunch of sideblogs for anything and everything you want and it can act as a nice way to keep your interests organised if you so want to.
Oh and one more thing, get used to posts being this long. There’s no character limit on these bad boys! We can talk forever!
There’s undoubtedly more stuff I could say, but this will do for now. Have fun on the hellsite lads

Hi<3 I wanted to ask you if new directions were on tumblr, how do you think you would interact with them? And what do you think their blogs would be about?
Oooh I love this question!! Tysm for the ask🥰💗
Santana: Mutuals. It was basically confirmed in canon that this girl had a tumblr with her comment about her having a favorite ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ blog.. if that doesn’t scream a tumblr lesbian idk what does lol!! Her entire blog would mainly be devoted to sapphic ships that she would sob about in the tags (think overuse of emojis and keyboard smashes)! She would have a pretty decent following and get quite a few asks where she would give headcanons and meta on her favorite ships. She also wouldn’t tell a soul that she’s on there but Brittany would find out and lovingly tease her about it.
Tina: I follow her but she doesn’t follow me. She would be on tumblr constantly! She would have one of those super popular multifandom blogs that makes the most crisp gifs and has hundreds of requests waiting in her inbox. At first you’d be a bit intimidated by her until you realize she is the sweetest and is always super nice about giving tips and resources for gif making!
Sam: I don’t follow him but he follows me. His tumblr would consist of almost 100% memes with no organization/tagging system. Instead of tags, he would leave comments under posts like “woah this is sick dude 🤩” or “nice!!! 👍” which would in turn make a good amount of people block him because they would think he’s some bot or sarcastic troll when in reality they are always genuine comments. He would be the king of spam reblogging to the point that if you did follow him he would overwhelm your dash. Though, every once and awhile there would be a very detailed & coherent post by him about ‘True Jackson, VP’ with links to a petition to get it renewed/rebooted.
Blaine: Mutuals. You just know he would make the best tumblr mutual! He would definitely be that one mutual that you can always count on to like and reblog your content and he would leave the most thoughtful tags. His blog would be a variety of all his interests (he originally tried to have separate side blogs but it was too much for him to keep up with!) but it’s extremely well organized and mainly runs on a queue.
Kurt: I follow him but he doesn’t follow me. His tumblr would be very curated and definitely fit a certain aesthetic. I picture it mostly consisting of reblogs of fashion, films, art, food, etc. But multiple times a week he would post blank text posts with super long rants in the tags with a lot of cussing and the last tag would be #delete later.
Brittany: Mutuals. Everything she posts would be super cheerful & colorful (envision loads of rainbows & cats). She is known for sending asks since she absolutely loves sending her mutuals the most offbeat questions. You can also always rely on her if you’re having a bad day to send you a random quote or fact that will make you smile.
Mike: Mutuals. He would truly have the most chill blog and reblog anything that catches his eye but not in a way where it overloads your dash. He also is someone who follows back almost everyone who follows him and sends a lot of kind asks & leaves nice tags on your original content. He would never get involved in any fandom drama and would only have one filtered tag which is ‘Channing Tatum’.
Puck: Mutuals (mostly for entertainment purposes on my end). He’d be the one to act like he’s never even heard of tumblr but secretly runs his own fic blog mainly for the soap opera he compulsively watches with his mom & sister. He also occasionally enjoys posting snippets of the various screenplays he’s working on. He prides himself on staying anonymous so he uses a pen name and changes the names of everyone he writes about but does an awful job at picking out new names (changes Puck to Huck, Finn to Binn, etc)!
Finn: Neither one of us follows one another. Actually didn’t know what tumblr was until he saw the app on Puck’s phone and noticed him spending a lot of time on it so he got curious. Months later he still has no clue on what the point of tumblr is and has pretty much given up on trying to properly use it. He has a few text posts screaming into the void but they have no engagement. Though he did somehow link his instagram so that still updates.
Mercedes: Mutuals. Her tumblr consists mainly of reblogs for her favorite celebrities, tv shows, & movies. She also has gotten into the habit of live blogging for a few of her top shows and her commentary is so good that you wouldn’t dare to unfollow her or filter her tags for it, even for the shows you didn’t have any interest in previously. She’s the mutual that has such great taste that you find her continuing to influence what media you want to consume next!
Quinn: Mutuals. Her blog is a mix of literature, art, philosophy etc which does make it have an overall pretty “classy” feel but the vast majority of it is also just very, very, very, gay.. to the point where half of what she reblogs is of women kissing/being affectionate with one another. She also eventually dabbles in writing some femslash & it’s very good stuff…
Artie: Neither one of us follows one another. Has a decent following due to his film reviews (he also blocks anyone who disagrees with any of his opinions). He’s also heavily involved in various popular fandoms like Star Wars and Marvel which leads to him getting into some very intense discourse which results in more blocking.
Rachel: Mutuals (on thin ice). Posts super nice aesthetics & moodboards. Though unfortunately, she would be that tumblr mutual who gets into heated debates with anons constantly and is such an easy target because she can’t recognize when people are trolling her so she takes the bait every time. But, fairly often it does get to the point where she actually ends up exhausting the anons with her long written responses.

First off, I'm going on anon for this cause idk if this is going to receive backlash or not. This doesn't mean 'don't tell me that I am wrong' or some bs like that so feel free to do that.
Second off, every single one of you is amazing and more accepting than most fandoms I have been in and I love that about you people. All of your works are awesome.
But here's the catch. I wake up and open this app and my dash is filled with mostly nff-related posts from this fandom be it fics or personal posts. Now if I didn't want to read something like that so early in the day I used to ignore it. When that didn't help, I used the blocking tag system. But this is Tumblr we are talking about, still these posts kept showing up.
This made me really uncomfortable. Now I can't help but think I have to stop following a lot of people to avoid this. And it makes me feel bad. I am going to ignore people because what? They were doing what they liked to do? Maybe I am not a big fan of their daily activities but this feels like I am judging them and just doesn't feel right.
I'm sorry for spamming your ask box. This has been on my mind for too long and I genuinely don't know what to do about this.
Hiiii,
It's absolutely not a bad thing to be uncomfortable with or disinterested in something someone is posting. I feel the same way sometimes; it can be a little frustrating if people aren't correctly tagging things or if they're posting a lot of stuff I'm not interested in or comfy with.
You can always politely ask them to consider using tags or to make a single tag for NSFW or non-starker posts so it's easier for you to block content you don't want to see, or you can use Tumblr's new blocking feature, which let's you filter out posts that contain specific words even if they're not tagged. You can find it on the same Filtering page, at the bottom on both dashboard and mobile.
For example you can filter out naughty words like 'cock,' which is a very common word in smut works, and it will hide any post containing that word. (If you're specifically looking to block NSFW content I highly recommend blocking as many words as you can.)
I most commonly use not starker and sie talks to tag anything not related specifically to starker or fandom content respectively. I also tag any adult content with both NSFW and NFF.
If a blog won't add tags and posts a lot of stuff you don't want to see, as mean as it might sound its definitely best to just unfollow them and try to find a new blog that's better suited to your interests. There are lots of blogs in the Starker fandom who are SFW only, and if you're unsure you can always ask a blog.
Curating your own space and experience is a big part of existing on a platform like Tumblr, and it's not at all mean or judgemental to make sure you're providing yourself with a happy, enjoyable space and experience. As long as you're not actively being mean or rude to people, you're doing okay!
I hope this helps you some, Anon, and I hope you're able to make your time on Tumblr a little more enjoyable! If you'd like finding SFW blogs, don't hesitate to make a post or come back and I'll do my best to wrangle some for you ❤

Hello Hello everybody!
I have got some time on my hands and tomorrow's exam is a light one so I decided on catching up with some of the works that I have been tagged in.
I will be rebloging and spamming your dash so I have decided to use the tag #exam break catch up so that y'all can filter that out.
On a serious note, my activity is literally a 100+ so the spamming is going to be real, and I really don't want to annoy anyone so please filter that tag out.
Okayy off I go thank you everyone for your patience! 💜

hot take on season 4 stuff
I’ve seen a few posts circulating about season 4 of wtFOCK and the potential for a season 5. I put together this list in hopes that it will motivate people to continue their involvement in watching season 4.
1. Yasmina I shouldn’t have to say much more than this. Yasmina is an incredibly lovable character who we’ve had the delight of getting to know throughout the series. She is a solid landing place for Robbe, hinting his involvement in her season (aside from the parallels to the OG and other remakes).
Yasmina as a Muslim woman though, and as a main character, are big deals for marginalized groups that have never had that representation in a production before. The other seasons (primarily) highlighted how important this is and I’d like to stress the importance of this for Yasmina’s season as well. If we don’t support marginalized groups (women, poc, religious minorities, or any combination), it highlights our lack of interest to the entertainment world. Let’s not do that. For wtFOCK to end up in a large news paper, highlighting the 10 million views the show has gotten only for that to disappear when a Muslim woman becomes the main? That will send a message, intentional or not.
2. Potential for a Season 5
This is pretty basic. Interest in a show is one of the best ways to ensure that the show continues on in further seasons. I won’t explain more about this. That doesn’t necessarily mean being a tumblr blog dedicated to season 4 of wtFOCK but it does mean the engagement with social media and watching the show where you can. I don’t mean to say the online population is the primary source of hits for the show nor are we its target audience but there is some level of recognition that is garnered through social media. The producer has liked several posts about a Sander season 5. Does that mean anything? It may not, but why ruin our chances when it’s possible?
3. “But Season 3 was so stressful”
I have some basic things to say here. I’ve seen a number of people who said they were going to completely bow out of the fandom because of Season 3.
Unfollow people who have opinions that you simply don’t vibe with
Ignore or delete asks that complain about something you enjoyed
Don’t engage in discourse if it isn’t productive or meaningful to you
Block users that abuse the tag to spam their frustrations with the show especially if that negatively impacts you
Surround yourself with people who are respectful, thoughtful and reflective
Take frequent breaks from social media and especially the tag
This season was particularly stressful. There were moments of great writing and moments that have left us concerned or questioning. There were moments where a lot of viewers felt the writers were focused on shock value or cliffhangers instead of a full story.
While the season is not yet done and I can’t speak to those matters, I can say that I’ve enjoyed my experience by surrounding myself with people who communicate the way that I do. People who respect one anothers’ opinions, people who try to filter negativity out and only focus on the positives.
Did I see complaints on my dash about “not enough Sander” and then posts responding that it’s not his season? Yeah. But if it went too far, I unfollowed. There were a lot of posts about mental illness discourse, some of which were quite frankly really toxic. I unfollowed. Even if the user themselves doesn’t have those opinions but is spamming your dash with the opinions of other people just so they can argue, you don’t have to follow that.
You are not obligated to follow someone that stresses you out. You are not obligated to engage with people who stress you out. You are not obligated to post asks/anonymous messages of people who stress you out. Your social media experience can 100% be determined by your choices and who you interact with.
If the fandom stressed you out, seek out those people that lived in the middle ground, that celebrated what you celebrated and spoke about matters that were important to you. Your mental health is important and this show, or a section of its community, should not be apart of that.
so with this, I really hope to see active participation in season 4 of wtFOCK. I really hope that people were here for the story, the acting, the representation and I hope that they are not so caught up in Robbe and Sander that season 4 is not of interest to them.
I really hope that season 3′s success will only inspire further success for the next season which can create room for a fifth. I hope that next season, I don’t see people complaining “we had so much Zoenne in Robbe’s season, where are Robbe and Sander?” because it won’t be productive or conducive to conversations.
This is not, has not been, and will not be the Robbe and Sander show. Robbe lived with Zoe and Senne, making their interactions a pivotal part of his growth, relationships and every day life. Will Robbe and Sander be part of Yasmina’s life? Most likely but she will be the focus, just as Robbe was our focus now.
If we ever want a Sander season, I suggest that we learn to love the main as we move forward and let the story be theirs.
thanks for coming to my tedtalk

Quick Reminders about Onslaught (dropping tomorrow)
Hey guys! Happy 6.0 tomorrow (hopefully we have a smooth launch and patch this time around 🤞)!
In-Game Currency Reminder:
Just wanted to give a quick heads-up/reminder for those that care about such thing, a lot of in-game currency (Command Tokens, Masterworks Crystals, etc) are being done away with the patch tomorrow, so if that’s something you’re concerned about, check out this thread from the forums about the best way to get the most out of what you’ve earned up to this point: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9772619#edit9772619
On Spoilers:
Now, another quick reminder, I plan on playing through live tomorrow when the patch goes live (🤞), but right now I don’t plan on live-blogging the entire expansion, because... well, it kind of seems like that’d be pretty darn obnoxious with the amount of content we’re getting to spam your dashes that much. And I’m going to attempt to parse out the story over a few days if I can since story updates are so few and far between I’m going to attempt to savor it. And a dashpocalypse over two or three days seems... excessive.
Watch me get impatient and blast through it on the first day.
That said, if I do like general thoughts/postings, I’m planning on keeping anything spoilery (including any character/romance development that we get) under a cut for at least a week so that people who want to experience for themselves first can do so unspoiled. I will also be using the following tags in case anyone wants to blacklist/filter until they’ve played through themselves:
#swtor spoilers #swtor onslaught #onslaught spoilers #swtor 6.0 #swtor 6.0 spoilers #grey’s silly swtor tag #onderon spoilers #mek-sha spoilers #corellia onslaught spoilers (I would have this be the actual name of the flashpoint but I don’t know what is) #swtor release week #swtor patch day
That said, if any of my mutuals are planning to post things outside of a cut, like, say a picture post with giant spoilers and aren’t using any of the above tags but something else, would you guys mind letting me know? That way I can add it to my filter/blacklist so I don’t get accidentally spoiled. I would greatly appreciate it, thank you ❤️
#psa#please tag responsibly#not everyone can afford to play the first week of a new expansion#whether it’s taking off work or school#or other reasons#(i got lucky this time)#and it seems unfair that people have to completely unplug from social media in order to be able to experience something they enjoy themselve#or to literally rush through something they’ve been looking forward to in order to outpace tumblr posts#if i seem a bit firm and annoyed about this#i just got a call from the vet#and i have to pick up my dog’s ashes before the patch goes live tomorrow#so if someone spoils me for the ONE positive thing I have to look forward to this week#i’m going to be epically pissed#probably being overly cautious because you guys are great#just probably oversensitive since the gif factories of tumblr for other things release spoilery gifs like within an hour of something airing

Feel free to focus on bolded sections to skim for the subject of every bullet point. I’m way too wordy, but I just want to be informative. I’m not actually very strict or demanding!
How I Play:
I am semi-private and semi-selective. What this means is that mutuals (meaning people who follow me and I follow back) are free to interact with me IC in asks or by tagging me in posts or by responding to my starters, and they are also free to DM me or send me any kind of ask OOC or tag me in posts they relate to me (so unless there’s some loophole I’m not thinking of, it’s basically ‘anything goes’ with mutuals). Plotting is cool; talking about things other than RP is also probably cool (though I can be a little shy with new people sometimes, forgive me). People who I do not follow back (aka non-mutuals) are still totally free to follow me. They can send in asks about/to my muse either IC or OOC or ask about my thoughts on YTTD-topics, but I am probably uncomfortable speaking OOC in DMs about RP or doing any kind of plotting. Non-mutuals can also send in starter memes, but they would be one-off types of interactions (meaning no growing relationship) and might not be continued very far in a thread. Feel free to message me with questions if this description isn’t making sense to you.
I may not follow back for myriad reasons all regarding my personal preferences (characterization choices, writing style/ability, frustrating blog layout, missing rules/info, etc). Please do not take this personally. If this happens, you are still welcome to initiate interaction with me in any way, IC or OOC! Also, if I do follow back, I definitely want to RP with you!
I will likely unfollow and decline to interact if you have too much OOC drama / anti behavior / fandom hate / bullying / callouts / discourse / politics / worldview on your blog. Huge pet peeves of mine. I repeat, I do not support callout culture.
I am open to the possibility of interacting with duplicates of my muse. I will automatically assume one of them is an AI or doll, but whatever the case, we should probably talk about how to go about this.
I am up-to-date on the game. This blog is not spoiler free. That being said, it might be wise to communicate when in the timeline our muses are interacting.
I have depression as well as performance/social anxiety. My moods and levels of inspiration/motivation vary widely. I know that is inconvenient, sorry! So in general, I don’t push myself to be prolific, and can drop threads or be slow at responding.
I may drop a thread due to general anxiety (not necessarily related to the thread), lack of ideas, or loss of inspiration, my deepest apologies. Don’t feel bad and DO feel free to continue interactions with my muse in the future!
I operate my muse based on what I feel is in his character to do at that moment. Sometimes that makes planning difficult, because he may not respond to a circumstance in a way I anticipated. Sorry if things do not go as planned. But I do also love plotting and overthinking things, hah.
I am willing to play dark scenes including gore/violence, angst, horror, abuse, torture, my character’s death, etc., and there will be disturbing or mature content like that on this blog. I’m new to this fandom, so I’m not exactly sure how much content warning tags are really necessary, considering I presume everybody played this brutal game. However, any content warnings I decide to give will be noted with the tag “cw:” followed by the label.
I am open to the possibility of shipping everybody from high school and up. If you disagree with or object to this decision, please just unfollow/block/move on. I’m too tired.
I choose to write sexual scenes. I reserve the right to portray anything from healthy, fluffy relationships/scenes to dark, toxic, or abusive relationships/scenes. I don’t condone abuse or toxicity in real life. I respect the grave nature of such behaviors, but that will not prevent me from writing said subjects with this understanding of reality in mind. However, I respect those who do not want to see or roleplay sex, will never push said people to do so, and will keep explicit sexual content under a ‘read more’, tagged “smut”. I expect to be treated with similar respect for my choice in written subject matter.
I only roleplay smut with muns who are above the age of consent. I am uncomfortable doing so with underage individuals, so please do not attempt if you are under age 18.
What I Appreciate:
Let me know if something I’m doing in a thread with you is making you uncomfortable. I myself am comfortable with exploring some very dark themes. I will do my part to check your blog rules, and I apologize if I am ever forgetful about anything mentioned.
Please try to refrain from controlling my muse’s thoughts and actions (unless that is actually within the capabilities of your muse; ask me).
Please try to remember to start a new post instead of reblogging an ask post over and over.
I would be so grateful if multimuse blogs could tag the muse they are using in their posts. This helps me filter out the inevitable multitude posts on my dash that will not be relevant to my muse or even fandom and keeps it from becoming absolute chaos. Obviously it’s your blog, and I’m not here to tell you what to do, but this prevention of inconvenience will make me somewhat more likely to follow you.
Please do not steal my original (detailed) headcanons or icons or use images in posts tagged “My Edits” without my permission. If you’re not sure, ask me; I promise I won’t bite for such a question.
What Is Acceptable:
Mutuals always feel free to send me an ask, IM, or communicate in our RP thread if you have something to say or ask. Or if you just have a random comment! Seriously, anything.
Non-mutuals, honestly, if you’re not sure whether or not it is acceptable to interact with me in a certain way, and you try to interact with good or neutral intentions, I’m not going to be hostile or scary. If I’m not interested, I might not respond due to social awkwardness. Know that if this happens, I don’t want you to have hurt feelings; I appreciate your willingness to have wanted to interact with me.
It never hurts to follow me to see if I am interested in following back! At the very least, I am flattered for being considered.
If it seems like I’ve forgotten about a thread or neglected to respond and you really want to continue it, feel free to message me to remind/ask about it.
Let me know if there is something you want tagged, and I will try to accommodate with what I see as reasonable.
I am 100% cool with us engaging in more than one thread at once. Do it!
All starter/ask memes/prompts on my blog are open all the time, no matter how old. Feel free to browse the tag and send in something you like! I would only request that you try to include the title of the post/collection in your ask so I can find it more easily.
I accept some OCs and characters from other fandoms but can be picky about them. It would be nice to be able to find some background info on them on your blog. For characters from other fandoms, I will be much more likely to follow if they have a YTTD verse included in their description, but you can pitch me a different proposition if you have one. Try not to take it personally if it turns out I’m not interested in following.
I am sometimes okay with roleplaying total AUs (as in, a completely different setting), but it is not my default preference. The best way to go about seeing if I’m interested would probably be to message me.
As this is also just a general purpose Sou fan blog, all types of blogs (aside from spam/porn and antis) are free to follow, like my posts, and reblog non-RP-related posts.
Thanks a bunch for slogging through this!

New tag to blacklist!!
If you’re not a fan, do feel free to filter saiyuki as I just got wind of the tv show getting renewed and therefore I’m spamming the blog with posts on it. It’s, like, my frst manga ever so I’m gonna be looking for blogs to follow on this too!!
So yeah let’s throw out there: reblog this post if you want me to check out your blog. PLEASE DON’T REBLOG IF YOU DON’T USE TAGS. I’m not interested in your blog if you don’t, I need at least some basic tags on posts so I can decide what content I see on my dash. I won’t follow you if you don’t tag your posts, that’s legit the first thing I look for.
It doesn’t have to be ALL of them, but at least the fandom / pairing, etc. Unless you're an all saiyuki blog, I can get past that. This is mostly @ multifandom blogs. Tysm <3

Excellent quick introduction! Rephrased write up for people with screen readers and also some additions:
1. Tagging etiquette: tags usually go into the #tags line under the post body, not the post body proper, with one exception: tags are not carried over when reblogging a post, so if you reblog something and you really like the tags of the person you reblog from, feel free to copy them into the body of the reblog.
Use character/ship tags for tagging posts that are positive about the character/ship and “critical” tags (e.g. #Destiel critical) for posts that are negative about the character/ship. That way everyone can like/dislike what they want in peace.
2. Blacklisting and blocking: to blacklist tags (like critical tags!) and keywords, so you never have to see posts you don’t like again, click on Settings > Account and scroll all the way down to “Content you see”. Put the word in both “filtered tags” and “filtered post content” and click add. There is also a “block” function on tumblr (click/tap the three dots on the top right of a post > Block) so you never have to see another post from a specific user if that’s what you wish. Please, please, PLEASE use this freely, it avoids so much drama! User keeps posting critical shit in the normal tag? Block. User keeps on posting takes that are not critical but that you strongly disagree with and get you angry all the time? Block. User has a profile pic you can’t stand? Block. Really, you don’t need to justify your blocking choices to anyone.
3. Privacy: To make your follows and likes private, click on “Settings” and select the blog you wish to adjust the setting for. Toggle off “Share posts you like” and “Share the tumblrs you’re following”. As for your bio, it is NOT mandatory for you to put your age, orientation, disabilities and traumas in there, and as a matter of fact, I would strongly encourage you NOT to do so, especially if you are under 18. All you are doing is giving harassers a template for abusing you.
4. Nudity/18+ content settings: While tumblr has recently relaxed its rules regarding content involving nudity, know that depictions of sexual acts are still against the rules (but something like artwork of Truth coming out of the well with her titties out to shame humanity is not). You can find settings for how much 18+ content you want displayed under Settings > Account > Community Labels.
5. Finding content: To find content you like, type keywords in the search bar. Note that simply typing “kittens” gives you any post that includes the words “kittens” (including posts with “kittens critical” tags that might say “I fucking hate kittens”), while typing #kittens gives you only posts tagged with “#kittens”.
6. Finding even more content: If you see a post you like... give it a like! If you see a post that makes you think “hm, this would be useful for other people to see”, reblog! You don’t have to add anything to the reblog if you don’t want to. If you see several posts you like from the same blog, follow! Now all their posts will show up on your dash and you can unfollow anytime you like. Chances are you will find more like-minded blogs just by following one blog, because anything they reblog will also end up on your dash. Think of it as a friend introducing you to their friends.
7. Fucking the algorithm: If you don’t like having tumblr recommend a bunch of semi-random shit to you, go to Settings > Dashboard > Preferences and toggle off “Best stuff first”, “Include stuff in your orbit” and “Include Based On Your Likes”.
8. Customizing your own blog: for the love of all you hold holy, please make sure you do at least two of the following:
reblog at least a post or two
change your profile picture
add a description to your blog (even if it’s just something generic like “I like big cats and I cannot lie”)
This is because tumblr has a problem with spam bot accounts and older users can and will assume that a blog without at least two of the three things listed above is just a bot and they will block you. Don’t venture into the wild wearing the colors of the enemy, please.
9. Forbidden words: There are no forbidden words on tumblr. I’m being serious. Please do not bring the tiktok lingo of “unalive”, “grape” and “korn” over here. Doing so makes filtering content impossible (e.g. if you use “grape” instead of “rape”, a survivor who has the tag/word “rape” deliberately blocked will still be able to see your post). I will repeat: THERE ARE NO FORBIDDEN WORDS ON TUMBLR.
10. Reporting assholes: That said, there are forbidden ways of using words/images. This is your usual common sense “don’t be a dick” reminder. Don’t harass others. Don’t use hate speech. Tag your shit, especially if it’s not safe for work. And if you see a post/comment that you think needs reporting because it’s spam/harassment/hate speech/etc.? Click the three dots on the top right of the post > Report. You also get the option to block the user alongside making a report.
11. Making your blog easier/harder for others to interact with: the following options under Settings > [your blog under “Blogs”] make it easier for others to interact with your blog, especially when they are not logged in. I will also list potential downsides in brackets:
“Enable custom theme” (no downsides really, will make it easier for people to view your blog when they are not logged in)
“Everyone can reply” (this will also let spam/scam bots reply to your posts, but you can delete those replies individually, blocked people cannot reply regardless)
“Let people ask questions” (adds an “ask” link to your blog that lets users send you what is basically a DM that you answer by one-click-posting it and your reply to your blog, people can be dicks in asks sometimes, especially if you also activate:)
“Allow anonymous questions” (let’s people send you asks without logging in, cowardly internet bullies like to use this one to avoid the consequences of their actions, personally I have it on and if I get a hate anon, I just delete the ask and move on)
“Allow asks with media” (I strongly recommend turning this one off to avoid bullies sending you fucked up images in your asks, which are a lot harder to unsee than simple text posts)
Submissions (I admittedly have very little experience with this, it’s mostly used by side blogs that actively WANT user submissions, such as is-the-cat-video-cute)
“only allow messages from tumblr users you follow” (randoms can send you weird DMs if you have this toggled off, personally I have it on and I just block people who send weird stuff)
12. Side blogs: if you wish to curate your online space a little more (e.g. separate your political/activism reblogs from your comfort zone/fandom reblogs), you can create a side blog! To do so, go to Settings > Blogs > Create a new blog. You can make up to 10 new side blogs per day and unless you actively go around telling people which blogs are your side/main blogs, no-one will know that they belong to the same person. A side blog can do most things a main blog can, except like posts, send asks or messages, and submit posts. To publish a post to your side blog, simply select the arrow in the top left of your post and choose your side blog before hitting “Post”.
WELCOME (BACK) ✨TRAITORS✨
Keep reading

I will likely unfollow and decline to interact if you have too much OOC drama / anti behavior / fandom hate / bullying / callouts / discourse / politics / worldview on your blog. I repeat, I do not support callout culture.
This blog is not spoiler free. I have seen the playthroughs of all major Danganronpa games as well as much of the lesser-known content, and my posts will contain any such information without warning.
When Ouma is speaking, I have him adhere to Japanese customs to refer to others, meaning he will often use last names and honorifics when applicable from Japanese canon (to the best of my knowledge, which isn’t expansive or perfect).
I have depression as well as performance/social anxiety, and I am in college full-time. My moods, levels of inspiration/motivation, and availability will vary widely. I know that is inconvenient, sorry! So in general, I don’t push myself to be prolific, and can be slow at responding. I may drop a thread due to general anxiety (not necessarily related to the thread), lack of ideas, or loss of inspiration, my deepest apologies. Don’t feel bad and DO feel free to continue interactions with my muse in the future!
I am willing to play dark scenes including gore/violence, angst, horror, abuse, torture, my character’s death, etc., and there will likely be disturbing or mature content like that on this blog. Content warnings will be tagged with “cw:” followed by the label.
I choose to write sexual scenes. I reserve the right to portray non-platonic relationships and anything that entails, as well as potentially darker, unhealthy scenes and relationships (all with consent from the other mun, of course).
Please do not attempt if you are under age 18.
IC ≠ OOC, muse ≠ mun. As I am a sensible human being, the thoughts and actions of my muse that I write or witness are not necessarily ones I would support or agree with.
What I Appreciate:
I am a huge fan of thorough communication. If you are planning on attempting to kill or torture my muse, it would be nice for some notification of this (either in the post/tags or in a message) at least one post beforehand.
Let me know if something I’m doing in a thread with you is making you uncomfortable. I myself am comfortable with exploring some very dark themes. I will do my part to check your blog rules, and I apologize if I am ever forgetful about anything mentioned.
Please let me know if any part of my blog layout/organization is frustrating or dysfunctional on your screen or in your experience, and feel free to point out any major typos you see as well.
Please try to refrain from controlling my muse’s thoughts and actions (unless you have an IC ability to do so; ask me).
Please try to remember to start a new post instead of reblogging an ask post over and over. It makes things look neater and more organized.
I would be so grateful if multimuse blogs could tag the muse they are using in their posts. This helps me filter out the inevitable multitude posts on my dash that will not be relevant to my muse or even fandom and keeps it from becoming absolute chaos.
