If this is really true, I hope they have everyone back on board. The original series usually started read through in Jan/Feb and filming in February. Send out the ninjas I say! To find spoilers

I'm not entirely sure if I really want it back, because both movies weren't really my cup of tea. I loved some moments, I hated others. As long as they continue with Carson's retirement storyline and make him and Elsie their NORMAL selves again, I'm on board.

Also: I hope Thomas' movie storyline will not be made redundant.

there’s another life out there in which james potter is a very famous author creating the long awaited adaption of his most famous series and regulus is a nepo baby actor who gets the part of the main character to appease fandom fancasting authority . there’s a lot of hype over this including reposting of old gifsets w tags like GUYS who can’t WAIT to see regulus say this famous line!!! except regulus has never fucking read this book before going to auditions and gets the part solely because james has a parasocial crush on him from being tagged in all the posts . regulus eventually reads it for the job and becomes insanely fond of it even outside of his work bc it’s just objectively good literature . this pisses him off severely. he tells james to his face he fucking hates it meanwhile whilst reading over the script he complains about what was cut from the book and james is like SEE i TOLD THEM to include it but they said it would still read well!!! regulus replies WELL IT DOESNT. mad as hell they agree about the book James Wrote . then they kiss a lot about it

To you, to INTERSTAT, and to all the incredible STAR TREK fans who have been so generous in their praise of our work, my deepest thanks. Your post-opening edition is a collection of opinions I will treasure always. The level of perception of the inner meanings of the picture (sometimes intentional sometimes not) staggers me. What a privilege for a filmmaker to have an audience that pays attention.

I wish I had time to answer each of the hundreds of questions perceptively raised (and also to look stupid on a few questions I don't have the answers for). But if I am to get a script done for STAR TREK III, then I best get on with it.

Please publish this. It will be my way of thanking thousands of people I have been unable to personally reply to. And publish it for another reason; I would like it known to all who read this that it was here, in these pages, a long, lonely tine ago, that a voice of reason first surfaced amid the wailing of the lost tribe, and said; 'Cool it, guys. Let's give the new kid a chance to show what he can do."

I thought, at the time, that that gesture was consistent with what I believed was the integrity of the STAR TREK fan, namely that they would not prejudge anyone by the color of their credits. The support, since that time, of you and of everyone, has brought me closer than I ever could have imagined to you all. Let's do it again.

Always flabbergasted with people who say "Soyona was just so two-dimensional in the movie, I didn't like it"...she was there for three scenes. Five if we're counting different sets. She's in a car, she's on a tarmac, she's in an alley, she's in a garage, she's in someone's apartment. That's it. Five scenes, probably five minutes of screentime.

Sorry we couldn't get into her backstory (Dichen wrote it down and everything), but she's built on costume desgin, presence, and her little laser device. All of which were iconic and memorable--I feel like it would be hard to forget her in that film. If you did, it's probably just because she was only in it for about a twelfth of its runtime. A fast drive-thru will have you in and out in a more proportional chunk of your lunch break.
