gift wrappin - c. sturniolo
in which matt gifts chris a much needed box of condoms for him and gf!reader
deciding to come over and hang with the boys—mostly chris-before they headed to boston for the holidays, you sat a few feet away behind the camera. nick, matt, and chris were on the couch in front of the coffee table, filming their upcoming friday video. it was their annual christmas gift exchange, and the three of them were in their usual chaotic element.
fifteen minutes in, the couch and floor were covered in ripped-up wrapping paper, random gifts, and empty boxes. matt reached for a medium-sized gift box, the grin on his face almost suspicious, and handed it to chris.
"what the hell's this?" chris asked, shaking the box and raising an eyebrow. "it sounds empty."
"just open it," matt said, licking his lips like he was holding back a laugh. he glanced at you for a moment, and you immediately felt the heat rise to your face. whatever this was, it was going to be good.
chris sighed and tore at the snowflake-printed wrapping paper, muttering under his breath about how much damn tape matt used. after a moment of struggle, he finally got the box open. his expression immediately froze, eyes glued to the now-revealed item in his hands.
nick let out a little "oh," before bursting into laughter. matt was already smirking like a proud idiot.
you glanced over, spotting the familiar trojan logo on the large 36-count box, and immediately slapped a hand over your mouth to stifle the laugh threatening to escape. your body stiffened, the secondhand embarrassment hitting you hard as matt leaned back on the couch, looking way too pleased with himself.
"not tryna have any nieces or nephews runnin' around any time soon," matt said, grinning at chris, who was still sitting there, stunned. "i figure you needed 'em."
"are you serious?" chris finally muttered, glaring at his older brother.
"deadass." matt shrugged, motioning to the box. "you better be thanking me. do i hear a 'y'welcome' or what?"
chris rolled his eyes, muttering a sarcastic "thanks" under his breath before chucking the box of condoms toward the kitchen. matt dodged it easily, laughing as nick joined in on teasing their younger brother.
"gotta wrap it 'fore y'tap it, kid," matt said smugly.
"you're welcome for savin' your life."
later that night, you and chris were in his room, the lights off, the glow from the tv flickering across the walls. neither of you was paying attention to Whatever was on the screen-mostly because he was three fingers deep in you, his head buried between your thighs.
his messy, fluffy hair tickled the sensitive skin of your inner thighs as he licked and sucked at your dripping heat, practically eating you out like he hadn't had a meal in days. the soft grunts and huffs of breath he let out against your skin had you arching into his mouth, your fingers tangling in his hair and tugging just enough to earn a groan from him.
"mmh, oh m'god, y'taste so good, princess," he murmured against you, his hands sliding to the back of your knees to push your legs higher. it wasn't like he wasn't already smothering himself between your thighs, but he seemed determined to get closer.
your breathing came in shallow pants as your back arched off the mattress, thighs trembling as his tongue curled against your clit and his fingers worked inside you. with a soft gasp, you finally came, your body going slack as he worked you through your high.
he pulled back after a moment, his lips and chin glistening with your release as he looked down at you with a boyish grin. "if i were stranded on an island and i had to pick between an unlimited amount of pepsi or your pussy for the rest of my life, i'd pick phat ma real quick."
you blinked, staring at him in disbelief. "phat ma? what the hell is wrong with you?"
he just laughed, leaning down to kiss you, and you didn't even care about the taste of yourself on his lips.
after a heated makeout session, chris shifted to slide his pajama pants and boxers down, his cock springing free. he let out a stammered grunt as the cool air hit him, his need for you making him throb almost painfully. lining himself up, he leaned down to kiss you again, his hand gripping his length as he pressed it against your entrance.
"wait," you murmured, pulling back just enough to catch his attention.
"hm?" he asked, his lips brushing against yours. "get the condoms," you said, your hand pressing lightly against his chest.
he groaned softly, rolling his eyes in playful annoyance. "you really wanna use 'em?"
you nodded, and with a sigh, he climbed off the bed, pulling his pants up just enough to shuffle to the bathroom. he returned a moment later with a strip of condoms from the massive box matt gifted him, his erection still visibly straining against the fabric of his pants.
"happy now?" he muttered, tearing one open and rolling it on before settling back between your legs.
"extremely," you teased, smirking as he finally slid into you, both of you letting out a soft gasp at the feeling.
"fuck, y'feel so good, ma," he grunted, his pace starting slow before quickly building into something more desperate.
the following morning, as the boys were packing for their flight back home, matt stopped by chris's room. leaning against the doorframe, he watched chris throw clothes into a suitcase, making small talk. his eyes drifted to the trashcan in the corner, spotting the shiny blue wrappers mixed in with some crumpled kleenex.
"damn," matt said, smirking as chris looked up. "what'd you do, use the whole box already?"
chris groaned, chucking a t-shirt at matt's face.
"shut up."
matt just laughed, stepping out of the room. "welcome, little bro."

be a good girlfriend
part one
contains: smut, please do not read if you are a minor!
—
you and patrick were spending the weekend in art's dorm for a much anticipated movie night.
patrick had excitedly brought back a supernatural film he'd been raving about, and the plan was simple: you'd handle the popcorn, and art was supposed to get the drinks. of course, art had grumbled about this arrangement. "why do i have to do anything when it’s my room and my tv we’re using?" he'd complained, rolling his eyes.
as art flicked the light switch off, signaling the start of the movie, you resolved not to nag him about neglecting the drink duty. however, the popcorn quickly turned into a dry, choking hazard. barely able to swallow, you coughed and spluttered, forcing art to pause the movie before the production company logo even appeared.
“babe,” you whined, your voice rasping, “i’m so thirsty! the popcorn is killing me. please, i'm begging you.” you clutched at art’s shoulder with desperation.
patrick groaned dramatically from the other side of art. “we’re never gonna watch the fucking movie,” he muttered.
“shut up,” you snapped, turning your pleading eyes back to art.
art sighed theatrically and rose from the bed. “fine, i’ll go get some drinks from the vending machine,” he conceded, grabbing some bills from his wallet and tossing it onto his desk.
“i love you!” you yelled as he closed the door, mumbling a yeah, yeah in response.
“okay, we’re alone,” patrick said, turning to face you with wide eyes and raised brows, “let’s make out.” he smirked.
“no, you freak. he's right outside the door,” you tossed a few pieces of popcorn at him. undeterred, he crawled toward you on his hands and knees, his eyes smoldering with desire. “like that’s ever stopped us,” he murmured, kissing your lips. “you’ve jerked me off while we were sleeping in the same bed,” he mumbled against your mouth, the heat of his breath mingling with yours. “so stop pretending to be the good girlfriend you’re not.” his words stung, a sharp contrast to the softness of his touch.
“what?” you retorted, stopping his chest before he could lean in again, momentarily stunned by his brutal honesty. the weight of his accusation hanging heavily in the air between you.
he quickly retracted to his original spot, your heart pounding as the door creaked open. glancing over at you, he saw the confusion in your eyes as art spoke. what had he said wrong? his mind raced, replaying the words he thought were witty, the ones he was sure would make you smile and call him stupid, maybe even laugh. but now, doubt gnawed at him, a sinking feeling settling in his chest.
"okay, blue gatorade," he said, forcing a smile as he tossed the bottle to patrick, who caught it effortlessly. "and water for my sweet girl," he added, his voice softer. he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips before placing the cold bottle in your lap.
"thank you," you mumbled, barely audible, your eyes avoiding his as you leaned back against his pillow.
as the movie flickered across the screen, you shifted, trying to find the most comfortable position on his full-size bed. finally, you settled on laying flat on your stomach, your legs lightly kicking against the headboard. your head rested in art’s lap, as he sat in the space between you and patrick leaned against the wall. the blanket sprawled across them.
you were a good girlfriend, you kept reminding yourself, the thought looping in your mind like a mantra. he’s just a bad friend. okay, maybe you had jerked him off that one time, but it was just once. a mistake. girls make mistakes sometimes. who was patrick to tell you what kind of person you were? the irritation flared within you; patrick, who could barely tell his left from his right, had no right to judge you.
the movie’s dialogue faded into the background as your thoughts consumed you. you could feel the warmth of art’s body, his fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns on your shoulder.
you are a good girlfriend.
you slipped your hand underneath the blanket covering art's lower half, your fingers tracing a delicate path up his thigh. the warmth of his skin sent a shiver through you, a thrill that made your heart race. art cleared his throat, the sound almost imperceptible over the movie's dialogue, but you felt the tension in his body.
he grabbed a pillow, placing it strategically between himself and patrick, creating a makeshift barrier to shield your actions from view. the intimacy of the moment was intensified by the secrecy, a silent agreement hanging in the air between you and art. his leg muscles tensed under your touch, and you could sense his effort to remain composed.
he tried to make sliding down his gym shorts appear casual, making it seem like he was smoothing out the perfectly unwrinkled blanket. you pulled your hand back out, and brought it up to your lips, spitting out a gob of your sticky saliva right into your palm, cuffing your hand to be sure you don’t spill any of it.
your hand found its way back to his shaft. he jumped at your cold touch as you pumped his dick at a steady pace. the thick meat warming up between your fingers. you gazed up at him, his eyes glued to the screen. “you like the movie?” you whisper. “mhmm,” he gulped. you squeezed him in your palm, “fu–yeah, i love the movie.”
patrick's attention was abruptly drawn to the weird exchange unfolding beside him. his gaze drifting towards the subtle, yet unmistakable, rustling beneath the blanket. as he cautiously lifted his eyes, they collided with yours. you were already staring at him, a mischievous smirk plucked at the corners of your mouth.
he silently scoffed, turning back to the movie. small whimpers left art’s throat as you tugged on his now rock solid cock. up and down. shlick, shlick, shlick. now that patrick knew what was going on, you could be as wild as you wanted to be, making it known that he wasn’t apart of the fun.
you ducked your head under the comforter, slapping his thick, hot cock on the heart of your tongue. spit drooled from your mouth as you swallowed him through your supple lips. art’s mouth hung open with his eyes closed, not caring how crazy he looked to anybody else watching. his brows furrowed from the pleasure of your warm, velvety tongue slurping him up. you licked and slobbed, making a popping noise as you came up for air.
you pushed the blanket from both you and art. exposing his glistening boner, covered in spit. he scolded you, shouting your name, embarrassed as if neither of the people in the room haven’t already seen it.
“what the fuck?” patrick said, shaking his head. irritation rather than confusion etched across his face. he wasn’t confused at all. “shut up,” you straddled art’s waist, kissing and rocking your clothed pussy against his bare cock, “i need to fuck you so bad,” you breathed out, tilting his head back to kiss his lips.
“patrick’s in here,” he clenched his teeth, pressing down your hips to stop your movement. “he can join if he wants,” you smirked, leaning back on the bed to pull off your shorts and underwear, giving patrick a clear shot of your sopping cunt. “or he can sit there and watch. like the good friend i know he’s not.” you said, mocking his words from earlier, climbing back on top of art.
you and art both waited on his response, breathing heavily.

A BL viewer's guide to Thai school uniforms
(This is an older one, originally posted at Reddit in 2022, but it should still be accurate. Hope you'll find it useful, as uniforms in Thai shows often provide context that international viewers might not recognize.)
To begin, here's a summary of the Thai school system. There are twelve years of basic education (after kindergarten): six years of primary school (prathom or P.1-6), and six years of secondary school (mathayom or M.1-6), the latter of which is divided into three lower and three upper years. The age range roughly corresponds to the US system, so the years P.1-6 will often be translated as grades 1-6 and M.1-6 as grades 7-12. Most stories set in school will take place during the upper secondary years, which is often translated as high school (though this is rather approximate as it spans three years rather than four). Students typically enter M.4 aged 15 going on 16, and graduate at the age of 18 (or nearing it).
School uniforms are almost universally compulsory, used by all but a few alternative schools (university will be discussed further below). They mostly follow a very distinctive form, which has barely changed since the end of World War II, as there's a default format that's mandated by law and followed by most schools (though schools may elect to specify their own style of uniform). There are official industrial standards that govern the material, thread count, etc. of student uniforms that can be sold, and an entire industry is built around them.
For boys, the (default style) uniform is mostly the same across all levels, and consists of a white short-sleeved button-up shirt, shorts (in either black, royal blue, navy, or khaki), a belt (brown or black), socks and shoes (brown with khaki shorts, white socks and black shoes otherwise). The shirt will have the letters of the school's abbreviated name embroidered at the right chest, in red for private schools, and navy for government schools. It's common for schools to also require student IDs or names be included likewise. In many schools, the upper-secondary uniform will also include the school insignia/logo as a metal badge pinned above the school's initials, or also embroidered.
The colours of the shorts typically reflect the school's status. Private schools will normally use blue or (less often) black, while government schools will use black or (less often) khaki, with very few exceptions. Navy is quite rare, mostly used by certain schools with historical royal connections. This colour-coding serves as a rather convenient tool for series creators to convey the social background of the characters. Blue shorts signify that they go to a private, presumably expensive school. Black is the default that tells the viewer that it's a regular, average school. Khaki shorts used to be the default long ago but have declined in use, and are now mostly seen as belonging to rural or temple schools (though there are also some famous schools that use them). You'll rarely see them in TV or film, unless the creators are purposely saying that the setting is rural, poor, or retro.
Let's look at some examples.
The school uniform in Bad Buddy is pretty much the bare minimum, with just the school's abbreviated name and no pin or ID. With black shorts and navy lettering, it's clearly meant to be a regular government school (though TBH the filming location doesn't really fit). The dot on the collar is a symbol used by some schools to indicate the year the student is in, based on the number of dots. One dot would mean they're in the first year of either lower or upper secondary, which might be differentiated based on colour, shape, or being on the left or right side. Here, Pran is clearly not 12/13 years old, so the year must be M.4.
In The Yearbook, the school uniform also includes the students' ID in Thai numerals below the school name, also quite a common thing. The navy lettering and the black shorts indicate that it's a government school, and the filming location and the teacher wearing the civil service uniform also hint that it's a rather provincial setting. The haircuts of the characters are also more realistic, as schools usually require a short tapered cut for boys.
The characters in 'Cause You're My Boy also attend a government school, in line with the working-class background. Mork is in upper-secondary, so his uniform as the school symbol embroidered above the lettering, while Gord and Morn's, who are in lower-secondary, don't.
Another example of a government school uniform with black shorts is found in Dew. This school also has the student's name embroidered over the shirt pocket. Dew's oversized shirt and long baggy shorts reflect the fashion trends of 1996, when this part of the story is set.
On the other hand, Hormones follows middle-/upper-middle- class kids at a private school. The uniform was directly copied from that of Assumption College Thonburi (ACT), where the series was filmed (so that its students could blend in as extras). As a private school, the lettering is in red, and the student IDs are in Hindu-Arabic numerals. As in the above example, the stars on the collar indicate the student's year (here, dots are used for lower-secondary and stars for upper). Also note the belt buckle with the school logo, which tends to be seen with fancier schools.
The uniforms in Love Sick are also copied from real life, though this was done not for production convenience, but to pay tribute to the source novel, which was inspired by student life at Assumption College (AC), one of the country's oldest boys' schools (AC and ACT both belong to a network of schools operated by the Catholic Church, hence their names). The novel's full title, Love Sick: The Chaotic Lives of Blue Shorts Guys, reflects its focus on the inside world of the school, of which it paints a semi-imaginary image that makes multiple references to actual teachers, locations and customs, stopping short only of referring to the school by name. This is toned down in the series, though the coat of arms and uniform are nearly direct copies of AC's, minus the belt buckle (which was a relatively recent addition and not part of the uniform when the novel was being written).
Notice how Noh's school badge is pinned on the corner of the shirt pocket just like baby Peak and Ohm's real-life AC uniform, which is unique to the school. (Beam is a junior of Peak and Ohm's by a year, and was probably in M.3 when the photo was taken, so didn't wear a badge.) The school also requires leather shoes, unlike most schools which allow either leather or canvas shoes (in which case almost everyone will wear canvas shoes).
As mentioned in my previous post, the current trend of students having their school uniform shorts modified to be very short probably originated with AC students, and spread more widely from the late 2000s. Naturally, the style is shown in Love Sick, though this is also generally well represented in BL media.
Make It Right, by the creators of Love Sick, used the same style for its student uniform, except the shoes (though pinning the badge at the shirt pocket didn't really make sense now that it wasn't meant to refer AC's real-life uniqueness). It's also a bit strange seeing student IDs running into the 60000s, as even the oldest real-life schools don't have numbers that high.
The use of blue-shorts school uniforms to signify wealthy characters/environments is a pretty common trope in BL (and also Thai series more generally). It's also seen in 7 Project, in a more typical appearance with the pin in the usual location, and the student's name over the shirt pocket.
In My Gear and Your Gown, the uniform (quite unusually for private schools) doesn't have any lettering other than the school's initials. It's most likely a cost-saving measure by the costume department, sacrificing a bit of realism to avoid the need to create individualized outfits for every character (though it does use leather shoes).
The uniform in My Dear Loser: Edge of 17 is rather confusing. It's clearly meant to be a private school, given the blue shorts, but this is contradicted by the navy lettering on the shirt. Looks like a mistake, unless it was a deliberate choice to introduce some sort of ambiguity (though this is unlikely, and even most Thai viewers probably won't notice anyway).
In Only Boo!, Moo originally goes to a private school with a blue-shorts uniform, but is sent away as punishment for neglecting his studies. His new uniform, with khaki shorts, emphasizes the provincial nature of the school.
Often, different-coloured uniforms will be used to contrast the characters' backgrounds. This goes back to The Love of Siam, where the blue shorts and leather shoes of Mew's school uniform reinforce its presentation as a Catholic school (and closely echoes AC, which also served as the school's filming location), while Tong's black-shorts uniform may have been a reference to Bangkok Christian College, a nearby school popularly seen as a rival of AC's. BCC is one of the better known private schools to use a uniform with black shorts, and The Love of Siam is one of the less common examples of this. (Note again the school badge, which isn't worn by some of the members of Mew's band, indicating that they're in lower-secondary.)
The colour contrast is also used in Love's Coming, though it doesn't really convey any significant background.
Somewhat amusingly, creators don't always try to be particularly creative with the school name abbreviations, and they will often be that of the production company's name. So here we have ม.ม. and ม.ม.ป. - MM and MMP for Mungmee Production. Above, there's จ.ท.ว. - GTV (GMMTV) in My Dear Loser, ค.ซ.ม. - CSM (Cosocomo) in Make It Right, and น.ด.บ. - NDB (Nadao Bangkok) for Hormones, the last of which is also the actual in-story name of the school.
I Told Sunset About You uses a very unusual colour pairing: Navy and Khaki. Oh-aew's school (and Teh's formerly) is private, while Teh's is the province's main government school. The colour choices are mainly aesthetic - while some main provincial schools do use khaki shorts (and private schools navy), they are quite uncommon. White shoes worn with the regular student uniform is also practically unheard of (they're usually for PE uniforms - more on these below).
Note also how the year-indicating dots above the school initials are differentiated by colour: navy for lower secondary, red for upper. So when Teh shows up at his old school wearing a uniform with three navy dots, that's him squeezing into his old uniform from M.3 to sneak into the school.
Sometimes actual existing schools serve as the setting of a work, and its uniform is used. For example, My Bromance (2014) is set at Wachirawit School in Chiang Mai and uses its uniform.
The Best Story likewise takes place at the Demonstration School of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Demonstration or "Satit" schools are pretty much a class of their own. While they're technically government schools, they're operated by universities for their teacher training programmes, and have a higher degree of freedom in their operations. They also often have uniforms that don't follow the usual format, with no school name on the shirt. This is the case with Satit Suansunandha, which has its logo embroidered on the shirt pocket and pinned above the student's name instead.
Some Satit schools also use an unusual colour, charcoal grey, for their uniform shorts. This is seen with Praram's uniform in EN of Love: This Is Love Story, indicating that his school is attached to the university. Having just the student's name and no school initials isn't unusual in this case (though not having any logo at all kind of is).
On the other hand, the lack of any embroidered lettering at all, like in The Shipper, is very unusual. In real life this is unique to Triam Udom Suksa School, which is commonly regarded as the country's top school. GMMTV previously did this in The Gifted, which kind of made sense as it conveyed that the school was unique and special, but this isn't true for The Shipper, so the stylistic choice seems a bit lazy.
This is also the case with 55:15 Never Too Late. Even stranger is the uniform from Nanon's storyline, which has khaki shorts signifying a provincial setting but the top is just a plain shirt with no markings or pin at all. It looks rather like an error in the production process that they had to roll with due to some limitation.
Girls' uniforms are much more varied, as private schools follow a variety of different styles. The standard style is mostly only used by government schools. For the upper-secondary level, it's a white button-up shirt (or blouse? I'm not sure of the terminology) with short sleeves that are pleated at the cuff, a navy (or, uncommonly, black) skirt with three pairs of wide pleats at the front and back, a black belt, white socks and black strapped shoes. The shirt will have the same markings as the boys' uniform. We see Pa wearing this in Bad Buddy (and also Tarn in the ITSAY pic above). Note that they made a mistake with her collar dot, as she was in M.6 in this scene and should have had three dots instead of one. (The same mistake happens with the younger music club students in episode 10. I guess the costume department just created one style based on the main characters and forgot to factor in the others.)
I won't attempt to list examples of all girls' uniforms here, as they're harder to keep track of in BL, but if it's a high-school setting and you see a different style of uniform than the above, it should be quite safe to assume it's a private school (especially if it's long-sleeved, with a necktie, or a blue, red or other brightly coloured skirt, like in the 7 Project example above), or a Satit school.
International schools usually have a different style of uniform altogether. They may be variably coloured, use shorts or trousers, include neckties, and the shirts won't have the usual lettering but commonly feature the school logo. Girls' skirts will commonly have a plaid/tartan pattern. Bilingual schools - private schools featuring a bilingual curriculum, with mainly Thai students - will also often use this style of uniform to some extent. We see it in Brothers, where the setting is supposed to be an international school.
While schools may have a full uniform with blazers and all, they'd only be used on special occasions. If characters wear them on a regular basis, it probably signifies a fantasy setting, or one somewhat removed from real life. This is fully utilized in Great Men Academy, which is as fantasy as you can get with magical wish-granting unicorns.
A similar effect is achieved with sweater vests, as seen in Second Chance. However, this is to emulate the Japanese/Korean uniform style, giving the show something of a J-/K-drama aesthetic while moving it away from the grounded reality of Thailand.
Sometimes, as in Friend Forever, a novel style is created that doesn't really carry any inherent meaning but is presumably done mainly for aesthetic reasons.
In real life, the standard-style boys' uniform (with embroidered lettering) may also use trousers, but this is only done in Islamic schools and the vocational education system, which are pretty much outside the realm of BL stories, so you won't likely come across them. (Update: This is no longer true with the existence of Don't Touch My Gang, but it didn't feature regular uniform, only the workshop shirt, which is covered below.)
Apart from the standard school uniform, most schools will also have a PE uniform, used on days with PE (gym) class, typically once a week for upper-secondary students. These aren't legally regulated, so they come in a large variety of styles, though many government schools will follow the same basic style of a coloured polo shirt made with a woven fabric, usually with the school logo on the pocket. We see Teh wearing this (though with the school initials instead of a logo) in ITSAY, with his usual uniform shorts. Most schools will have students wear the PE top from home and change into the PE bottom (typically sweatpants) just for PE class. Don't expect to see school showers, though, as they're not done in Thailand. Different classes mostly have PE on different days, and in meticulously written shows like ITSAY, where everything fits into the calendar, you can tell the day of the week from the PE uniform (it's Monday if you see Teh in his blue PE top).
As mentioned above, white canvas shoes may be required for PE uniforms, as seen again in The Love of Siam. This is mostly a feature of girls' uniforms, though, as boys' uniforms will more often use the shoes that are already part of their regular uniform, but schools which normally use leather shoes are a natural exception. However, they will more typically have students wear white shoes from home together with the PE top rather than change shoes at school like Mew apparently does. The shirt style here, a custom-patterned polo shirt with a knitted fabric, is also common.
We see another example of the style in Dew. Except for shoe colour, PE uniforms are usually identical for boys and girls.
Since there aren't actual limitations to PE uniform designs even in real life, creators sometimes have a field day with them. In Make It Right, the PE uniform is quite obviously a piece of fan service. (There are real-life schools that do use shorts, though they're not quite that short.)
Another uniform you might encounter is the Territorial Defence Student uniform. In Thailand, men face military conscription at age 21, upon which they will have to draw a lottery to determine whether they must enlist for two years. But there's an alternative to that. By completing three years of military training as Territorial Defence Students (often referred to as ร.ด. - Ror Dor (R.D.)), which is offered to upper-secondary school students, one avoids the need to face the lottery completely. Naturally, most middle-class boys will take the training. It takes half a day a week for 20 weeks each year (which is half the school year), plus up to a week of field training around January-February. For the weekly training days, if the session is in the afternoon, school will typically have only morning classes.
The need to attend Ror Dor is probably the most universally hated aspect of high school life for Thai boys, not because of the training itself, which is hardly intensive at all, but because of the military haircut requirements. Naturally this is never portrayed realistically, and many works ignore the existence of Ror Dor altogether. What's kind of funny is that the above storyline concerns Tee needing a haircut to pass Ror Dor inspection, but none of the characters except Mork come anywhere close.
The Ror Dor uniform is a khaki green combat uniform, with the student's name on the right chest and the school patch on the right arm. The Thai numeral on the left collar indicates the student's year. Here, it's ๒ (2), indicating that they're in the second year of training, which means M.5. The green T-shirt worn underneath is often worn casually by some.
In stories that go down to the lower-secondary or primary years, you may also see the Boy Scout uniform. In most schools, participation is mandatory for students up to M.3, and takes place once a week. Here in The Love of Siam, we see young Tong in the Scout uniform, indicating that he's in primary school, while Eiw and Cake in My Only 12% are wearing the Senior Scout uniform (with the maroon shoulder boards) of lower-secondary students.
That's pretty much everything regarding school uniforms, I think. Onto university...
In Thailand, universities have uniforms for undergraduate students. Unlike school uniforms, which are very specific, university uniforms are more loosely defined. In most cases they will be a white dress shirt and black (or navy) slacks for males, with black dress shoes, and a necktie and a belt buckle bearing the university symbol. For females, it's usually a white shirt/blouse with the university symbol pin, a black (or navy) skirt, shoes, and also a belt buckle bearing the university symbol. Some universities will also have metal buttons with the university symbol that have to be attached to the shirt.
While most universities will have defined uniforms, in practice, the requirements vary across universities (and across faculties within the same university). Many require that uniforms be worn for attendance of all classes, but some don't, and expect them only on exam days or special occasions. Strictness and adherence also varies. Often, people won't bother with the belt buckle, sneakers may be allowed (or turned a blind eye to), and jeans may even be permissible. This gives creators more leeway in designing the costumes to a varied visual effect.
In the above scene from Bad Buddy, Pran's upright collar (GMMTV does seem to like these, though I don't quite recall seeing them in real life), Wai's short sleeves (some universities officially have them as a uniform option, some don't), Safe's jacket (which is totally normal, by the way - they do blast the aircon in some lecture halls) and Louis's workshop shirt (more on this below) combine to provide visual contrast. The costume design is also often used for characterization. In Love by Chance, the timid and deferential Pete always wears his necktie, while the brasher Ae is never seen with it, nor does his shirt ever seem to be tucked in. (Untucked shirts are also used for characterization with school uniforms, though it's pretty much the only option.)
Even where uniforms are more strictly enforced, the necktie is usually not worn outside of formal occasions. Some universities have a tradition of requiring them only for freshmen, and similarly female freshmen may be required to wear below-knee accordion-pleated skirts (and for some universities, white shoes) for the entire first year. All of this is shown in SOTUS, as the entire series revolves around these hazing traditions. As freshmen, M and May wear the full university uniform (May with pleated skirt), while the sophomores are seen wearing pencil/mini-skirts and jeans with no necktie. The necktie doesn't have a printed logo, though it's attached as a tie pin - some schools do this. (Quite a lot of series, however, don't bother with having any sort of logo on the tie or belt buckle at all, which is a bit unrealistic, but in some cases could be explained away by the above-mentioned variability in strictness.)
Also famously depicted in SOTUS is the workshop shirt/smock/overshirt, which isn't really an official uniform, but a protective garment meant for practical classes. In some schools, there's been considerable drama over their use, as students often use it as a cover for casual clothing instead of wearing the regular uniform, which the staff disapproves. As so many series show, it's indeed quite commonly seen as an engineering-school symbol.
And that's pretty much all I can think of. If you've made it this far, thanks and congratulations! :p Let me know if I've forgotten anything.

The Last of Us Joel Miller Character Study S1E1: Living Room
Joel's sofa is so classic and cozy; cognac overstuffed leather is a solid choice, and combined with the transparent glass coffee table, very shabby chic meets West Elm. Not bad for a contractor.
I love that pillow is smashed flat. This is a family home, well lived in.
I deeply love Sarah is reading a magazine instead of playing on her phone/tablet. Very accurate fo that time. Magazines were my jam in 2003 as well. There are stacks of them around the room, and I really wish we could see some titles! I'm guessing: a teen fashion/culture mag for Sarah, a sports magazine for Joel, maybe some free contractor industry publications. Definitely Texas Monthly. Is Joel a Playboy man? Hmmm...
Dinner plate: she is used to preparing her own food and eating on her own, it seems.
More bay windows. What a cute home.
Either this scene was filmed in both daytime and nighttime, or that is one bright-ass porch light.
Joel has gone to the Javier Peña school of lamps and afghans because there are a lot of lamps in this room! And most of them are ugly.
Knock-off Eames chair? Or the real thing? (I'm guessing knock-off.) @veryprairieberry identified it as an IKEA Poang with matching ottoman. Knock-off indeed.
I wish this photo were more clear; I'm guessing it's Sarah, and I even thought it was Nico Parker on the lake in the raft, but the photo doesn't have the life jacket. EDIT: It’s Tommy, thank you @bluestar22x
More magazines
A TV tray for eating in this room; I wonder if Sarah or Joel uses that more?
I love a good sofa console table, and I also put them against the wall. My 2003 apartment would feel very at home in Joel's space.
The Lone Star key holder on the wall; so Texas, so accurate.
Laundry basket of clothes waiting to be folded, and we know that never happened. :(
I love this shot because it shows a few awesome things:
Guitar!
That sweet ass speaker and sound system set up. I want.
Having a flat screen tv in 2003 was still a status symbol. Joel invested in this.
Another soccer ball, so homey to have sports equipment scattered around.
It looks like that's a Longhorns logo blanket, but the color is wrong, so I don't know what it is for sure.
More plants Sarah is single-handedly keeping alive.
The block color rug is aggressively 00's Target. I love it.
I can't tell what that pronged object is on the stereo; anyone know? Edit: an antennae, thank you @veryprairieberry
That painting on the wall is rather dull compared to the artwork in Joel’s bedroom. I wonder if they know the artist personally?
How sweet is Joel coming home after a long day? We want this view.
Joel and Sarah are so sweet together and I am devastated all over again with this episode and Sarah's death. Just tragic.
Also: I'm sorry y'all, I have to point out the anal beads lamp. Not even Javier Peña would have this. Joel has definitely stepped it up.

Decided this Ghostbusters logo would look better overall if we painted it for the day as well as carve it for the night - and obviously a creature at the botanics agreed it looked good so it decided to have a wee nibble out the head!

❇︎Global Domination❇︎
BEBE! Bada Lee x OC Team! F Reader: Finally, in Korea, your crew was about to experience the brutality of the Korean dance scene, but you seemed to enjoy it more than others thought.
Word Count: 4.5k
Note: I had too much fun while making this one ngl😭. Also, the following isn't following the accuracy of the actual show.
Previous | Masterlist | Next
Two weeks had passed since your crew's arrival in Korea, and a sense of anticipation had replaced the initial excitement of exploring the country. Today marked the first day of filming for Street Woman Fighter 2, and the girls were a mix of nervousness and excitement as they sat in the van, awaiting their moment.
As the van pulled up to the venue, you all stepped out and were met with the sight of the massive "Street Woman Fighter" logo emblazoned on the black building. A surge of determination flowed through the team. You gathered the girls and delivered an encouraging pep talk.
"Let's walk in there confidently and show them we're ready for a fight," you urged. The group nodded in agreement, and with a collective display of charisma, you all strode towards the entrance. The cameras started rolling before you even set foot inside the building.
In an attempt to boost the team's morale, you led the way, strutting with confidence and casting a sly, determined look at the cameras. You wanted to show that your crew was ready to showcase their talent on this international stage.
With your newly dyed blonde hair cascading over your shoulder, you struck a fierce pose, setting the tone for the team. The others couldn't help but giggle at your confident display, but they quickly followed suit, standing beside you and posing with equal charisma. As you entered the building, all eyes fell on the trophy presented for every crew, a tangible symbol of the challenge ahead.
"Whoa," Athena exclaimed, her eyes widening at the sight of the trophy. "This is so cool," Maya added, practically shaking with energy. You smiled at the younger members of the team and urged them to move forward. "Let's get into our rooms. Come on."
The crew entered a long corridor, marveling at the colorful doors lining the hallway. It was an unexpected sight, and the attempt at intimidation was noticeable as you walked past each door. The girls couldn't resist glancing at the blackboards of the other crews, sharing amused comments about some and the not-so-friendly state of 1Million's board.
Outside the forest-green door, you paused, eyeing the blank blackboard. "So, what do you guys want to write?" Athena, ever the joker, took the marker and playfully pushed the team aside. She wrote in green, presenting the board with jazz hands.
"SWF 2 is our kingdom?" Bell read aloud, and the team shared approving smiles. "I like it."
As everyone entered your hideout, you translated the statement into Korean, writing it boldly. Meanwhile, inside, the girls chatted excitedly as they waited for the signal, settling into the room.
Unbeknownst to you and your crew, the other teams were also buzzing with anticipation. The addition of three international teams, including yours, had sent ripples of excitement through the domestic participants. With well-known crews like yours on the stage, the competition had just gotten even more thrilling, and everyone was eager to see what each crew would bring to the battle. The Korean teams, in particular, couldn't hide their surprise and curiosity as they watched your introduction on the screen.
“THREE GLOBAL TEAMS?”
“Lotus? No shot.”
“As in the famous dance teacher?”
“It couldn’t have just ended at Tsubakill, huh?”
The TV screen was dominated by your striking image, and your impressive accomplishments filled the other half. The teams gathered around, and as they absorbed the information, a wave of awe and curiosity swept through the room.
"Dude, the list just goes on and on," Nob of Lady Bounce pointed out. Your credentials went beyond choreographing for artists; it extended to years of victorious battles, securing numerous first and second-place finishes.
"All the battles are first or second place," Yeni Choi of Wolf’Lo noted, her eyes scanning the extensive list. "I thought we would be the only battlers here. I guess not," Baby Sleek chimed in, emphasizing the competitive edge that your crew and Mannequeen brought to the competition.
Another team, on the other hand, couldn't contain their excitement. "Lotus? Is this for real?" Minah gasped into her hands while the other girls stared at the screen, the younger members of the team eagerly fangirling over your face. "She's so pretty," Tatter mumbled, her astonishment evident, and Lusher nodded in agreement.
Their leader remained silent, captivated by your beauty and entranced by the information on the screen.
Bada knew exactly who you were – the famous Y/n Pereira, aka Lotus. Your reputation extended to both choreography for artists in the States and work with Korean trainees. The presence of not just Kirsten but also you, a well-known figure in the dance world, made Bada contemplate the upcoming competition.
Describing Bada's feelings as mere excitement would be an understatement. She was intrigued, thrilled, and stunned by your presence on the show. Your seductive gaze on the screen felt hypnotic, and she couldn't wait to see you in person. Her body warmed with anticipation, though she concealed it well, all while looking forward to the upcoming challenges.
As your crew sat in the green room, the TV’s abrupt, loud sound had Maya scared, a loud yelp coming from her. The girls giggled as you clapped your hands, “Alright, let’s get it, girls.”
Before you walk into the fight zone, your eyes linger along the long walkway. “This place is massive,” you hear Emi whisper, marveling over the size of the production. “They're being serious about this season,” Serena mumbles, the first time you heard the quiet girl’s voice today.
Leading your team down the stairs, the fight zone buzzed at the sight of your team's presence. “Wha~, they’re so tall,” Yoonji points out, feeling the pressure of the final crew.
“They can all be models.”
“Having beauty and the skills to dance is unfair.”
“They’re like goddesses in front of us.”
As the comments and speculations about you filled the room, you couldn't help but smirk in response, an air of intrigue surrounding you. The reactions didn't go unnoticed, and other teams began to wonder about your background.
"Does Lotus know Korean?" Cheche mumbled to her leader, who responded with a shrug. "I mean, she is half, so maybe she does?"
Bada's reaction, however, remained subtle but striking. The moment she laid eyes on you in person, she was taken aback. Seeing you up close made her question whether the cameras had done justice to your beauty. She hadn't expected the long blonde hair, but it left no room for complaints. You appeared angelic in the green dress that accentuated your tall, commanding figure, and the black-heeled boots added to the authoritative presence you radiated. Your presence was truly captivating.
“A video should be showing,” you tell the girls, and everyone hears your soothing voice. The team stood beside you as the video played, showing your group choreography to ‘Pump It’ by the Black Eyed Peas. You watch with a smile adorning your face, finding the piece fun to see all over again. That didn’t last for long, as comments started rolling in.
“They’re good. The world of dance respects them, that’s for sure,” JJ of DeepNDap explains, and Gooseul could be seen nodding beside her. “Their dance styles are way too different, though.” It switches to Harimu of 1Million, and you nod, acknowledging her words.
“I picked a variety for a reason,” you calmly state in Korean, shocking the other crews who were unaware you spoke the language.
Jam Republic is then put on the screen, Audrey speaking about you guys, “They’re probably our biggest rivals,” the other girls nod. Kirsten follows up, “Not because they're another international crew, but having versatility in style puts them at a high advantage.” You smile, Kirsten getting your thought process right away.
“We still beat them in battles, though,” Baby Sleek says, and Heachi laughs, “They dont seem that strong in that aspect, only Lotus.” You can only smirk. They were underestimating your crew's abilities, and they were about to be in for a ride. The no-respect stickers appeared, and it made you laugh. You and Emi had one, Athena had two, while Serena had 4. Boy, these girls were going to be surprised, that's for sure.
Your section was beside Lady Bounce, directly facing Bebe. So, as you take your seats, Bada’s eyes never left your figure. She was truly in a trance, staring at you as you talked to Serena, who sat right behind you.
“Unnie, you might burn holes into her,” Minah teases the older girl from behind, and Bada shakes off her comment, trying to focus on the show again.
The loud bass then scares the crews again, telling them the games are about to begin. Each of the girls cheered seeing Kang Daniel strut down with his cue cards in hand. “Hello. Welcome to the Mnet original dance series, Street Woman Fighter 2. I’m your MC, Kang Daniel.”
“This season, global crews have joined us, making this a bigger international dance competition. You’ll fight to crush all the other crews, and reach the top. Only one crew can do that.”
As the girls listened closely to their translator, you held a fist, gesturing a crushing motion on your other hand. Not noticing Bada does the same thing, Tatter laughs, “You guys are like soulmates or something,” she teases. Bada’s ears grow slightly red at the comment.
“We’ll be starting with Mnet’s iconic mission. No respect, battle with the weakest dancer,” everyone cheers at the announcement. “Alright, now please change for the battles. We’ll meet back here in the fight zone.”
The crews began to head up, but before you could make it to the stairs, you felt a hand tug on your arm. You peak over your shoulder and see Kirsten standing there with a wide, eager smile.
You wrap your arms on her shoulder as the two of you walk up the stairs with your crews following behind you. “How have you been?” You question the shorter girl and she pats your waist. “I’m doing amazing, love. I’ve missed you,” she explains, and you can’t help but giggle at your long time friend.
“I’ve missed you too,” you tell her, and you never noticed all the stares the two of you got. Soweon looks at the duo, shocked at the sight. “They’re close?” The youngest of team Bebe can’t help but ask. “It seems so,” Kyma says and Bada looks at the two dancers confusingly.
She was aware that a lot of the Jam Republic dancers were friends, but she didn’t know you two would be so close. Her eyes travel to Kirsten’s hand that is placed comfortably on your lower waist and Bada wonders how close you two truly are.
She couldn’t think about that, not right now at least. Her main objective should be the competition, not you.
When all of you reach your hideouts, the girls feel the rush of adrenaline kicking in, flushing out any nerves they had before. Everyone had changed, and you stood there stretching as Emi talked, “Let’s go out there, have fun, and feel the music.”
“Do what you usually do, guys,” you finish up the words of encouragement. The younger dancers smile at their leader and sub-leader, finding their validation calming. You all head out to the fight zone once again and only see Jam, Bebe, Lady Bounce, and Wolf’Lo down there. So you had the chance to mingle with the pink crew.
“Auds!” You greet the youngest girl on JR, and the sound of your voice has the girl jumping. “Lo!”
You had worked with Audrey multiple times in the States, and seeing her again after several months made your heart swell. The girl felt like a younger sister you never had. Even your younger brothers complained that she seemed more like your sibling compared to them.
“God, I haven’t seen you in so long. Don’t think I forgot about you, Ling.” You hug the oldest member of their team, who gives you a warm hug. “Lo, this is Latrice and Emma, by the way,” Kirsten introduces you to the unfamiliar girls, and you shake their hands.
The other three crews watch your interaction, wondering how you knew the girls of Jam. You had gone to New Zealand several times for workshops, and you had the privilege to meet the Royal Family multiple times during their competition seasons.
“She can literally make anything look so good,” Bada mumbles, taking in your natural outfit that was simple yet stylish. “Unnie, let’s not fall in love too fast now,” Lusher jokes, and Bada groans, leaning her head back. “You guys really won't leave me alone about this. Just let me be~” Bada whines slightly, but the pitch of her voice alerts you, and you make eye contact for the first time today.
Bada practically freezes as you give her a friendly smile. You took in the other tall girl’s appearance, finding the choice of outfit insanely attractive.
Now, Bada didn’t know if she was going crazy, but if you were checking her out, she was about to pass out. You were about to walk over and introduce yourself, but when you saw Tsubakill come down, Akanen ran over to you, hugging you eagerly.
The sounds of the Japanese leader giggling as she called you "Lotus-san" didn't go unnoticed by Bada. It seemed that you knew all the Jam Republic dancers except for her. This new realization left Bada with a sense of sadness. After all, you had visited Korea several times, and as a member of Jam Republic, she contemplated why the two of you hadn't crossed paths before. The absence of any prior interaction left her wondering what might have prevented such a meeting.
The others begin to trickle in as Daniel begins to announce again. “Now, let me introduce the other three fight judges who will be the judges of your dance-offs. She's a dancer with unique moves who was born to be a woman of power. The leader of Prowdman, Monika!” The dancer of season one runs in, showing the choreography she made. “The artist is known for his powerful and sexy performance. The leader and main dancer of Monsta X, Shonwu!” Some of the dancers began to dance Shoot Out, and you laugh, seeing Harimu really feeling it.
“Let me introduce the special judge for this battle. The leader of the worldwide renowned dance crew, the Kinjaz. Mike Song!” The three international crews visibly calm down, seeing a judge who can help judge them with no bias.
Not that Monika or Shownu would, but Mike Song felt like the international safety net. The dance battles began, and first off was Redy. She teased, coming over to the front of your crew before turning around and calling out Bada.
As you observed the interactions and conversations around you, it became apparent that there might be some underlying history between Bada and the young dancer. However, as you looked at Bada, her calm demeanor and relaxed stance made you wonder if the hostility was more one-sided than it seemed. Her self-assured confidence was an attractive quality that caught your attention, and you appreciated her presence as she stood before you.
As "Temple" by Baauer began playing, Redy took the stage, executing a series of movements, including a spinning fan kick. Despite your prior knowledge of Redy's skills, this performance didn't seem to showcase her best. The routine felt somewhat lackluster, with repetitive spins and points, and you couldn't shake the feeling that Redy was blending into the stage too much, almost disappearing.
Leaning your head on your fist, you counted down as the performance came to an end. "Five, four, three, two, one. Switch! BEBE’s Bada." The song "BBHMM" by Rihanna started playing, and your intrigue heightened. You sat up straight, eager to see if Bada lived up to the reputation you had seen in videos.
Bada began with a spin and immediately invaded Redy's personal space, using her height to intimidate. A laugh escaped your lips as she playfully swept the top of Redy's head. As the song progressed, Bada's performance unfolded with pops and gun gestures, and despite not being the most exceptional at freestyle, her energy and aura carried each movement flawlessly, keeping the audience entertained.
"She definitely knows how to use energy to her advantage. A true performer," you remarked to Emi, leaning closer. "Oh, for sure. All the crews are hyped up because of her."
Bada utilized her lengthy body with a mix of sexy moves, including kneeling on the floor, thrusting, and body rolling. The performance reached its climax as Bada bit a piece of paper and blew it out, concluding her dance. Your thoughts solidified – you were definitely intrigued by her.
Well, not her specifically, but her dance.
There's no harm in getting close to another Jam Republic dancer, right? You smirk at the thought, and as the judges reveal three light blue cards, you nod while clapping your hands. “Rightfully so.”
The battles continued, and the cheers from every crew echoed in the arena. Your cheers were particularly deafening during Audrey's battles, as the rest of your crew hadn't taken the stage yet. Audrey consistently showcased her freestyle prowess, outclassing many of the other contestants.
As the battles progressed, it was now Kirsten's turn, and you braced yourself for the unexpected. You knew she wouldn't pick someone she considered weak. Kirsten sought a challenge, a display of power. You couldn't help but smile at the anticipation when she stood up with a devious laugh.
"The person I pick as my no-respect dancer is…" Kirsten started in the middle of the stage but then moved to the far corner, standing in the vicinity of your crew. "Lotus."
A chuckle bubbled up from deep within as you rose from your seat. The ripple of surprise spread through the crowd, amplifying the shock, particularly due to the assumed friendship between you and Kirsten.
The spotlight seemed to intensify as you stood, focusing on the unexpected choice. The question lingered in the air like a suspended note waiting to be played. Daniel directed a question with a quizzical expression towards Kirsten, breaking the silence over the arena.
"Kirsten, why did you choose Lotus as your no-respect dancer?" The question hung in the air, prompting not just curiosity from the spectators but also an air of anticipation as if the answer held the key to unraveling a mysterious connection between you and Kirsten.
“I wanted a challenge, and I know she can give me that,” Kirsten announces, and everyone goes ‘oo,’ finding her words cool and respectable. “Let’s have some fun?” You ask through the mic, and the other leader nods as the crews get excited for this one.
“Leader versus leader? This is gonna be good,” you hear from behind you. “Kirsten and Lotus was a battle I wasn’t expecting, but I’m not complaining about it.”
You hear ‘Get Ur Freak On’ by Missy Elliot, and you can’t help the amused look on your face. You knew she would kill it, and you were ready for that. Kirsten starts, moving her hips and waist like water, and your face looks disgusted, an impression of how well her body moved.
As an amazing performer the Jam Republic leader was, Bada could only watch you as your body swayed ever so lightly on the sidelines. When Kirsten hits some moves of afro dance, you bite your bottom lip, finding the movement sensual as her gaze never leaves yours. “Lotus hasn’t even started dancing, and she’s already feeling the music,” Tatter points out, almost breathless at the two of you on stage.
It all seemed a blur for BEBE, but they then heard ‘Backseat Freestyle’ by Kendrick Lamar, and you jump around hyping everyone up. As the chorus hits, you pop your chest, throw your arms around your head, and quickly reverse it. Your aggressive stomps had people rowdy. The Krump style being used made everyone wild, as your lengthy body had so much power.
As you belligerently use your arms, the other crews stared at you, feeling many mixed emotions. Krump wasn’t a “clean” style and it wasn't common for women in Korea to use this style. So actually seeing a Korean woman do it, made them feel somewhat gratified. You finish off by kneeling, your heavy breaths were visible as your chest rose up and down.
The standing ovation was a testament to the intensity and brilliance of your performance with Kirsten. As you both bowed multiple times, soaking in the applause, the judges' faces revealed their struggle to reach a decision. In a rare moment for the show, all three judges displayed both pink and dark green cards, leaving everyone, including the audience, in gasps of surprise.
"All three? That’s insane," Minah exclaimed, capturing the sentiments of those witnessing the unprecedented outcome. The smiles exchanged between you and Kirsten suggested a shared desire for a rematch.
Returning to your positions, their was anticipation in the air. The prospect of both of you dancing simultaneously added a layer of complexity. Both you and Kirsten were known for utilizing a lot of space in your performances. The question loomed in your mind—how would this dynamic unfold?
You heard ‘Good Feeling’ by Flo Rida and everyone starts clapping at the hype song. The two of you mimic the lyrics, ‘oh~ sometimes, I get a good feeling,’ and you hit a propeller kick. Everyone screamed as you did a Windmill and followed up with an Airflare.
Bada’s eyes could leave your body as you spun and flipped. “How the hell does she move like that?” She asked, and it was a very good question. It has the other girls excited and intimidated at the same time. Who was gonna be able to beat you?
Kirsten seamlessly followed your lead, playing around your spinning body with a synchronicity that showcased the enjoyment shared between the two of you. The energy was infectious, and it wasn't long before everyone, including the judges, joined in on the collective enjoyment.
As the duo battle reached its conclusion, the applause echoed through the arena once again. "As expected from two big international dancers," Bada remarked, her statement met with nods of agreement from the younger members who were still in awe of the mesmerizing performance. The collaboration between you and Kirsten had not only met expectations but had exceeded them, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
The judges deliberated, their expressions revealing the weight of their decision. Finally, three green cards were revealed, and a sigh of relief escaped your lips. Pulling Kirsten into a celebratory hug, the victory felt like a culmination of the collaborative effort between you two. As you settled back into your seat, your team erupted in applause, a collective acknowledgment of the well-deserved success.
"Killed that shit, girl!" Ball exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious, prompting laughter from you. "No, literally," Maya chimed in with a playful remark, adding a touch of humor to the celebratory atmosphere. The camaraderie within the team mirrored the triumph on stage, creating a moment of shared accomplishment and joy.
Other battles continued and after 30 minutes, it was finally time for a 10 minute break.
Taking a moment to confer with your team, you couldn't shake the feeling of someone's eyes on you. Scanning the room, your gaze landed on Bada, and she didn't look away. A small wave from her drew you in, prompting you to excuse yourself from your team with a smile.
Approaching Bada's team, you noticed her adjusting herself to face you properly. "Bada-nim?" you greeted respectfully.
"Lotus," she replied, bowing as she remained seated. "It’s an honor to meet the most viral choreographer right now."
You reciprocated with a bow, but Bada swatted her hand, appearing slightly embarrassed by the acknowledgment. The other members of BEBE observed the interaction, their eyes held a hint of intimidation in the presence of your close proximity.
“I don’t deserve praise from you. Your THE Lotus, famous for training some of the best dancers out there,” you chuckled at Bada’s words. “That’s me,” you shrug, used to hearing the words, but it still pleased you to hear it from fellow dancers. “Anything I can possibly help you with?” She questions you with a curious face. “I just wanted to meet a fellow Jam Republic dancer.” You tell her honestly.
"Well, you're really good too," you expressed, the unintended sensuality in your voice evident as your eyes seemed to darken. Bada, taken aback by the unexpected intensity in your gaze, grew nervous. Unaware of the unintentional effect you had, she continued, "U-um, thank you, Lotus-nim." The exchange left a lingering atmosphere, a subtle tension that hovered between the two of you.
“Oh please, just call me unnie, Bada,” the younger dancers squeal behind their leader and you chuckle at their sounds. You decide to introduce yourself to the entire team and they all noticeably fangirl, especially Tatter and Minah who just kept looking at you with starstruck eyes.
As you engaged in conversation with Bada's crew, she couldn't help but observe your subtle mannerisms. The way you casually combed your hair back with your fingers while explaining things, the unconscious habit of licking your lips when you laughed, and the preference for rolling up your sleeves to your shoulders—all these gestures seemed to have a mesmerizing effect on Bada.
To her, you appeared as an almost unreachable figure in the dance industry, an undeniable stunner. Your every move left Bada weak at the knees. The similarities between you and her, both tall in height, boasting plump lips, sporting long dyed hair, sharing similar styles, and dancing with a captivating allure that seemed aimed at attracting women, only fueled the fascination.
"I wasn’t expecting them to be so pretty," Downy remarked, and Locker Z inquired, "who?" "Bada and Lotus," Locker Z nodded in agreement.
"I should’ve brought two wedding rings, for Lotus and Bada," JJ quipped, eliciting laughter from Minny. The room seemed to buzz with discussions about the two dancers—half fangirling over their ability to attract women, while the more mature half spoke highly of their impressive dance skills. The magnetic presence of both you and Bada had ignited conversations that spanned admiration for both your aesthetics and dancing prowess.
The break concluded, and the girls returned to their seats. Bada, now set for another battle against Redlic, took the stage. As she danced, her focus seemed to gravitate more toward you. Her unwavering gaze remained fixed as she executed a series of movements—grinds, thrusts, and hip sways—all in perfect synchronization with the accompanying sounds. The intensity of her performance seemed to carry an unspoken message, one that resonated with the captivating connection between you and her.
You could only stare at her with hungry eyes, if she wanted to play that game, you would give that to her. That would have to wait though, since the tension with Mina Myoung and Lia Kim had been spiraling in the air for the entire day and they were finally gonna battle it out.
You’d have to wait just a little longer to play.

☆ FINDING FRANKIE AU INFOPOST ☆
(incredible logo I made /silly)
—
Hiya everyone!!! Thank you soso much for the love and support regarding this AU!!! Due to so many people being curious about it and wanting to do little fan OC's for it, I'll explain it properly!!
This AU is worked on by me and @perish-lolz , thus characters belong either to me, them or us both! We both write the story and characters and do art together ^_^
—
THE PLOT: Franklin JR "Boss" Rabbit and his older brother Frankie Rabbit first made a cereal company. To advertise said cereal, they eventually created a fun TV show for little children (mostly age group of 5-10) called "Frankie's Toonville Adventures", which had it's main character cast: Frankie the magician rabbit (played by... Frankie), Henry Hotline (...played by himself..) and Deputy Duck (played by Debbie Duck)! The show had multiple seasons, it's episodes consisting of important life lessons and other things for tiny kids to learn!
At the height of the shows success, Boss opened up an activity park called "Frankie's Parkour Palace" with parkour, trampoline and waterpark fun stuff, said park becoming incredibly popular!
Eventually as the show ended and it's popularity faded, Frankie's Parkour Palace was expanded, with more entertainment areas added so there's a ton of things to do for literally all ages!
☆☆☆
Toonville Adventures: The Aftermath, takes place after this. The stars of the old show try to navigate themselves through life, finding new careers for themselves. While everyone else finds their new slot in the expanded activity center, Frankie isn't happy. Sure he's the image of the company, his name and face plastered everywhere, but he's not ready to give up his stardom. This AU mostly focuses on the struggles people in the showbiz face, how cruel the environment can be, how easily people will backstab eachother if it's to benefit themselves.. all desperate to secure their own survival no matter what it takes. Families get torn apart, bonds get broken... a lot of stuff happens! It's just the grim reality of it all.
—
If you wish to make OC's for this AU, you're very welcome to do so!! Just tag me or send a pic to me in DM's as I really wanna see them!<3 These fan OC's mostly function as background characters, as me and my friend have the main storyline and characters pretty much set up ^_^
The OC's can be park workers (besides from the known areas in the park, theres also a little shopping area, a movie theatre, a bar for adults, a small indoor amusement park section, a lazer gun area, rock climbing and just so much more!), or workers of the film studio thats attached to the park. While the show itself is no longer running, they do other stuff there such as commercials, Henry has a lot of his career still as an actor, as well as a talkshow host ^_^
-
MAIN CHARACTERS & SOME RELATIONSHIP INFO:
(all my art ofc ^_^)
—
I'll write individual character infos when I can, but I have posted stuff of this AU to its tags!! You can look through em! Thank you again for the love and support this AU means so much to me <33 ;;___;;;

No Business Like Show Business (1/?)
It’s no secret that Mr. Puzzles isn’t the most…Creative guy around. So he makes the shrewd business decision to hire you- the screen writer! What could possibly go wrong? [Okay so my secret is that I adore Mr. Puzzles and that he’s my comfort character but I…Really don’t like SMG4 as a whole. Personally I just don’t like the show when the TV ain’t in it. So, forgive me if anything is inaccurate in regards to the world or lore! I’m working off the Wiki here 。°(°.◜ᯅ◝°)°。. Either way, this is the first of hopefully many chapters! Lemme know if you want more! Also RIP formatting]
The TV producer sat in his chair, hunched forward with his elbows against his knees as his electronic head rested against his steepled hands. Darkness ensconced him in his eerily quiet office, only the dim light of his own screen and the countless monitors in front of him for any light. His defeat at the hands of the SMG4 crew had been… Humiliating, to say the least. Not only did they beat his screen in, but they had bested him at his own game. What he dedicated his very life to. Television. They had gotten their five stars so much quicker than he did and with seemingly much less effort. There was no possible way the crew had studied more in the realm of film and video than him— he had literally seen everything! From eternal classics to infomercials, Mr. Puzzles could perfectly recall every piece of cinema ever created. And, despite all that work, he still lost.
“No, no use in dwelling on that now.” He muttered to himself, aching for a smoke. “What can I do differently…?” Rising from his chair, he began to pace his office as he wracked his brain. Perhaps branch into Japanese styled game-shows? No, he couldn’t possibly. If his ultimate game-show didn’t work, then zany Japanese game-shows wouldn’t, either. Maybe foreign films? Too niche an audience and it wasn’t as if his Italian endeavor went splendidly. What hadn’t he copied (or rather referenced) yet? There had to be something…!
His frantic patrol of his office stopped short. Maybe… That was the exact problem. He hasn’t made anything new. His knowledge of all things film was encyclopedic, but his creative muscles? Woefully inept. He had always produced everything alone. Scripts? Him. Effects? Also him. Hosting? Who else could possibly do that job? Not as if he would let anybody else take the helm; but if he hired a screen writer… Maybe he could finally write an original enough script to get a five star rating. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
You had heard of Puzzlevision before, I mean, who hadn’t? They were a juggernaut of the industry. Pumping out content hand over fist (for better or for worse). Yet, they were an enigma of a company at the same time- nobody ever seemed to have any work connections to them despite all the content they produce. It was the golden ticket of job opportunities. So, just like many of your coworkers, you submitted your résumé to their business address. Never expecting to hear anything back like the many others who tried their hand at it. However, currently, you sat in shock staring at the letter you just opened on your desk. The small TV logo on crisp letterhead, with a whole message to boot.
‘Dear Applicant,
Puzzlevision Studios has reviewed your submitted résumé and would like to thank you for your interest in our company. Given your stated qualifications and past headed projects, we would like to offer to you the title of Screen Writer. If you would like to pursue this opportunity, please visit the studio at the return address during regular business hours.’
Puzzlevision had never even answered applicants before, much less an affirmative response. Surely more talented writers had to have applied? It wasn’t as if you were inept. In fact, you had worked on many successful projects. Leading them through any bumps in the road you might have faced and being well regarded amongst your peers. But, a job at Puzzlevision… It all seemed too good to be true. Your coworker, Tori, rounded your shared cubicle wall to say her good mornings to you as she always did. “Yo!” She chirped, leaning on your shoulder as she looked ahead of you absentmindedly. “What’s got you so star struck? …Oh shit.” Her eyes must have skimmed your letter, given she was now just as shocked as you. “Well look at you! I can say I worked with a big shot before they got big~!”
“Yeah…!” You replied, excitement beginning to replace the shock. Of course you had to take this! You liked your company, sure, but anyone would give for an opportunity like this. “I gotta draft my resignation…! Pack up my cubicle, get my clothes dry cleaned for the interview- oh God I wasn’t expecting this.”
“Chill, chill!” Tori crooned, patting your shoulder gently when she removed herself from it. “No need to panic. That’ll get you nowhere. Just take your PTO today and draft the resignation while you get your things in order. Once you get the gig, we’ll grab a celebratory dinner, ‘kay?”
“Definitely!” You quickly grabbed the things you had just set down to start your day, ready to depart posthaste for all your prepping. “Tell the boss I’m outta here! Text you later!” You bolted back towards the entrance, waving back at Tori as she called out a goodbye. This was going to be a whirlwind.
