SCAMMER ALERT
EDIT: she took more, 200 from me now
For every tarot reader on here or people who sell services in general. @ recoveringinternetaddict is a scammer.
She has ordered a lot of my tarot readings over the last couple of months and has been charging back everything the last few days; over 180 200 euro's so far and will most likely continue to charge back even more. This has brought me in a lot of trouble financially as one might guess.
She keeps coming with many excuses but isn't really doing anything to solve this even though she claims it 'was an accident'. Yet it isn't an accident > she even told PayPal it wasn't an accident (PayPal said so / hinted this through customer service mails). She has been doing the same with @tarotwithavi as well, who has also been charged back a significant amount of money so far. Edit: we found a 3rd person she did this too; @starryfree.
We both have been fighting these chargebacks with all the proof we have, but because she has done the chargebacks through her card holder PayPal isn't able to do anything, and that company will need to look at everything. This will take at least 180 calenderdays full of stress and uncertainty.
She is even claiming that her bank is taking more of our money because we provide proof that the chargebacks are false.
Please spread this information by liking, reblogging or commenting so the news will be spread to as many people as possible.
I know I am asking for a lot, but if you ever thought of getting a reading from me, it would be very kind to order one now so I can get out of this financial loss as quickly as possible. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated as well.

(dont post off anon) Sheller here. Posting here too but asking people to stop stalking my twitter and conversely my deviantart. I've said my statements several times, and this is now honestly harassment. As a reminder - I'm the chargeback person of 5k back in march. No new incidents have occurred and it is almost August by the time I write this, and there are...THREE PSAS made about me due to 'ban evasion'. Just block me, honestly. There's nothing I can say to anyone to force them to trust me so just block me but don't literally run me into the dirt when I returned all of the funds with documentation that I did so. I acknowledge if people dislike me and wish to not do business but this does NOT mean you can try to kill my reputation even further than it has gone. I'm putting up a fight. This is a warning.
didn't you scam a bunch of artists out of a shit-ton of money?
Anyway, how are you going to anon when you then say EXACTLY who you are

How many times does it need to be “a disgruntled ex-employee who is bitter and jealous at queen viv” until there’s actual evidence of abuse they’re convinced by, instead of fans and friends they’re like lawyers fighting for her
This phenomenon isnt new to me, I had an ex-friend who was close to someone who wad caught stealing money from an artist (chargebacking commission money) and I got presented with screenshot proof from the victim. When I showed this to my ex-friend? The reply was something like “Oh, this is weird, they’d never do something like that, I don’t know what to think”, and we stopped communicating, then I found out they had blocked me on every site after that interaction
I think it’s as simple as Viv’s attack dogs (namely the huge drama hotspots like Elcee, Alex and Dani) being spineless and wanting to be on her good side. Viv’s art is amazing and appealing to a lot of queer people, I don’t blame them, I used to be an avid defender of hers. But if you complain about anything you are told to fuck off, you’re ungrateful, baiting, stirring drama, you only hate her cause she’s a queer creator, etc. This is the only fandom to ever call a YTP going viral a “hate campaign”
the replies to that reddit post of the owl cafes broke my fucking heart, I really hope the boycotting against Amazon is the final straw and outsiders to the fandom are the wake-up call we need to witness
The Danis and Elcees and Alexes, I don't think anything will convince them. I think Vivzie could commit real murder and they'd go down saying she didn't.
But everyone else, I think they're starting to wake up.

absolute nightmare today lads
so like. a year ago i signed up to an online casino out of boredom, made about £100 on it, and then never went back because... well i was bored of it whatever. forgot that account was even a thing
so imagine my surprise to find £700 missing from my bank today in over 60 separate transactions that were SOMEHOW NOT FLAGGED AS SUS and also fucking authorised despite having no goddamn money
reported all of the payments to paypal (actually more than 100... like 120? transactions on there but it seems whoever was using my account made a couple withdrawals they then immediately re-deposited. dunno why. look more legit maybe?) who IMMEDIATELY. and i mean immediately. within like 5 minutes. closed the case saying there's no unauthorised activity because i used that company before one time a year ago. sure jan.
called HSBC who can't chargeback until all the transactions actually post to my account so I am now negative £400 in my available balance until they do, and they have absolutely no fucking answer for me as to why a) they ONCE AGAIN let my account go overdrawn by several hundred £ when i DONT HAVE AN OVERDRAFT and b) did not flag 60+ transactions in the span of a few hours (2 or 3 spurts) as suspicious at all. i mean really. y'all blocked my card for going to tesco twice in one day once.
contacted the casino like. uh yeah seems like someone used my account jsyk i am doing chargebacks on all this do not fight that concept. they won't investigate until i file a report with action fraud (police)
after spending an hour doing that (they want details of the transactions. all of them. inidivudally. yeah) action fraud then responded immediately to say it wasnt a reportable crime because its basically identify theft meaning the casino are fraud victims not me so they wont be investigating
yeah it sucks that someone like... hacked online casino accounts to just waste money or whatever hope they had fun but truly why the fuck did any of these go through at all
NOTHING SUSPICIOUS HERE NO SIR
#like... not even mad at whoever used my account#im mad at both paypal and HSBC who for some reason let ALL OF THESE GO THROUGH

Best video game.
Why?
Oh that's difficult.
Gonna have to say ULTRAKILL
Massive rant about it and a few other games below
The fast-paced first person shooter has literally everything I would want for a fps. Cool mechanics (slam-storage, railcoin, chargeback), not much dialogue (the only time you're forced to listen to someone talk without being able to fight it's either skipable or at the very end of the act). The boss fights are incredibly fun, like I would gladly replay any of them just for fun. The P-Rank makes the game very replayable and the reward of getting to fight an even more difficult boss is so worth it.
Plus, despite not getting all that much screen time, the main characters/bosses in ULTRAKILL are very memorable.
Like Gabriel, who was seen as a disgrace by the angel council for losing to you, a simple machine. The council removes his holy light and will perish in 24 hours. Instead of enjoying his time left, he decides to fight us once more, enraged by what you've done to him. Half way through the fight, he starts laughing, genuinely enjoying the combat with you. When he looses, he comes to the realisation of how corrupt the angel council was and does the only reasonable thing and kills every single member. He'll still die though.
The concept itself is very interesting as well. You're a war machine that runs on blood and you're going to kill everything until there's nothing left. Humanity is dead so you travel through hell killing husks, machines and even gods. This plays into the gameplay and mechanics of the game more than you'd expect.
The mechanics in the game are so so fun. There's the basics like being able to slide and groundslam. But with your first unlockable weapon, the marksman, it opens up new opportunities for tech and all that gun does is allow you to throw a coin which if you shoot, it guarantees a bit on any nearby enemies. And that's just one weapon. Then you've got the ability to parry projectiles which. Funnily enough, the shotgun pellets count as a projectile so when you "parry" them after shooting, it causes an explosion. It's honestly my favourite way to rack up style points but I can't do complex tech like chargebacks and dead coining. The addition of a style meter makes you want to play in a way which gets you the most stylish way possible.
As well as the main story levels, there's an endless arena area called the Cybergrind where you try and survive for as long as possible while killing enemies stylishly. As with most endless modes, it gets more difficult the longer you survive with harder waves spawning and the introduction of radiant enemies (enemies with more health, speed and damage). This makes Ultrakill infinitely replayable as people try to get the highest score on it. My best is wave 23 on Violent and 25 on Standard.
I'm definitely not the best at it, I haven't P-ranked most of Layer 7 and I haven't even gotten past the many enemies to complete P-2 but this game is great and I can't wait to see what waits for us in the rest of act 3
Honourable mentions to Half Life and TF2. Both are great games by Valve which will never get a third installment.
TF2 is so much fun but the bot problem has really been ruining it. I hope VALVE actually try to fix it after this #savetf2 movement. I personally main Medic which just means I can't aim to save my bloody life- I love the characters, their personalities and playstyles. They're all so unique yet yet stereotypical at the same time. I love the meet the team shorts and how well they establish the characters. This as well as their adventures in the comics really shows the world of TF2 well. The various hats you can get are unique and allow you to make the mercs your own (I have watched death of an art style but I don't think that the cosmetics are the biggest problem for TF2 right now-). The community is completely insane and I'm glad we're all still here after everything the game has been through. I love the fan-made projects so much. The various sfm animations talented creators have made never fail to impress. Like Emesis Blue, a psychological horror movie about the TF2 mercenaries made entirely in SFM, a software that's around as old as TF2 itself! TF2 is really being carried by the community and thank you to anyone who contributes, you guys are incredible. I know I've gone off about the community more than the actual game but without the community, there would be no TF2. But yeah TF2 is amazing, I miss the PS3 version as that was how I first played TF2 when I didn't have a pc.
Half Life as a game series is absolutely incredible. Valve completely changed the opinion of FPS games and the gameplay as a whole. The slower build to the resonance cascade, the scientists chatter, the interactivity as a whole contributes so much to the world building if the first game. The combat options were unique and fun to experiment with while providing interesting enemies to use them on. Of course, the Xen chapters were a bit bland but they still set the atmosphere of what was to come. And Black Mesa's complete remake of Xen completely fixes that if you do have a major issue with it.
Half Life 2 completely blew my mind the first time I played it. I had never seen anything to do with Half Life (except the references to it in TF2) so when I played it, it was amazing. Just like TF2, I first played it on the PS3. There's not many differences except the load times (which were horrid) but I still completed the game.
I hardly remember anything from my first play through of Episode 1 but I did get really attached to Alyx. Oh and I found the kleiner broadcast funny. Episode 2 is a completely different story. I loved every single second of it (there weren't achievements on PS3 version so I didn't do the gnome challenge and it shows-). The car section was fun. I liked looking for those supply crates and doing the physics puzzles to get to them. Hunters were really fun to fight but once I discovered they get instakilled by the jalope, I just started running them over. Made the final sequence much easier. The helicopter fight was interesting. And the ending. Oh my god, the ending. I ain't gonna lie, that shit hurt. It's a shame they rewrote it for Half Life Alyx.
Speaking of Half Life Alyx, I never got to play it but it looks incredible. I hope to be able to play it some day but right now, I have to stick to watching playthroughs.
I love Half Life but at this current moment I prefer ULTRAKILL, may change.
Uh yeah, I'm normal about all these games

((So an update on the maids stuff…))
((They sent us a “How’d we do? 😊” email that we responded to demanding a refund, and they quickly refused the refund despite the pictures. Insisting that the team worked “so hard” and “even stayed overtime” when they were over maybe like, five minutes. They apparently don’t clean walls and ceilings ever, but that only makes me skeptical of them “working really hard” then, because they failed to clean so much!))
((Also why’d you send the “How did we do” email if you weren’t going to like the fact we think you did a piss poor job.))
((They just, Uggghhhhh))
((The only decent news is that our landlady found a service that’s only 200 dollars so hopefully that’s all she’ll take from our security deposit))
((We are going to keep fighting the maids we hired but yeah. We might try to get a chargeback if they keep denying us our refund.))
((This is so annoying…))

New Agreement Caps Interchange Fees for Some Small Businesses in Canada
As we’ve been saying since we started in this industry, Canadian businesses are paying way too much when it comes to interchange fees.
But an agreement between the feds, Visa, and Mastercard, which just came into effect last week, may be able to provide some relief, at least for some small businesses.
Truth be told, the Canadian government has been talking about regulating interchange fees for years now, but until recently, it didn’t seem like they were going to do anything about it.
We’ve been covering this specific story for about two years now, but our current federal government started talking about it way back in 2019, when the Liberals began leveraging this issue as part of their election campaign.
Back in 2022, we published our first article on this, which asked, Is the Canadian Government Really Going to Regulate Interchange Fees?
At the time, things were still very uncertain, and whether the government planned to actually bring in regulations was anyone’s guess.
But if you’d like some background on this story, that article is a good place to start.
Then, last year, after the government announced it had reached an agreement with Visa and Mastercard, we published a second piece on this story, Feds Finally Reach Deal With Visa and Mastercard to Lower Interchange Fees for Small Businesses in Canada.
This article goes into great detail on the ongoing fight to lower interchange fees in Canada and sums up the terms of the agreement, so if you want to know more about how this story has been unfolding, you should check it out, as well.
In any case, now that this agreement has come into effect, we want to make sure you’re aware of what’s happening and offer our take on it, as well.
So, if you want to learn more about these changes to interchange fees in Canada and get our honest opinion on what this actually means for your business, then you’re going to want to keep reading.
How Does This Agreement Affect Interchange Fees In Canada?
Earlier this month, the government published a press release outlining what it’s supposedly doing to help small businesses in Canada, including capping interchange fees for eligible businesses.
“The federal government is making life easier for locally owned businesses by introducing reduced credit card transaction fees,” said Minister of Public Services and Procurement Canada, Jean-Yves Duclos.
But how exactly is this going to work?
Well, according to the feds, as a result of these changes, over 90% of small- and medium-sized Canadian businesses will see their interchange fees slashed by up to 27%, and this is projected to save small businesses about $1 billion over the next five years.
With that in mind, here’s what Visa and Mastercard will be doing for eligible businesses as a result of this agreement:
Reducing domestic consumer credit interchange fees for in-store transactions to an annual weighted average interchange rate of 0.95%
Lowering domestic consumer credit interchange fees for online transactions by 10 basis points, offering reductions of up to 7%
Providing free access to “cybersecurity and online fraud resources” to help small businesses sell more online, while preventing fraud and chargebacks
However, only businesses and non-profits with annual Visa sales of less than $300,000 will qualify for lower interchange rates from Visa, and only those with annual Mastercard sales of less than $175,000 will qualify for lower rates from Mastercard.
It’s also important to point out that organizations will have to qualify with each credit card network individually.
The government even provided an example of how this could help, saying that if a business processes $300,000 in credit card payments, it could save $1,080 in interchange fees.
But is this an accurate representation of the interchange fees Canadian small businesses pay?
And is this agreement as good as the government’s making it out to be?
Let’s take a closer look and find out.
Our Take on These Changes to Interchange Fees in Canada
As we said in our last article on this, it’s great to know that small businesses in Canada may end up seeing some relief from the insanely high interchange fees they’ve been paying.
It would have been nice to see these fees reduced even further, but going from an average interchange rate of 1.4% down to 0.95% is nothing to scoff at either.
However, when it comes to this agreement, and this latest announcement, there’s a lot to criticize.
For one thing, the government’s being very disingenuous with its example of the interchange fees a business would supposedly pay.
In its latest press release, the government claims that if a business in Canada processes $300,000 in credit card payments, they’ll pay about $4,000 in interchange fees.
But we did the math on this, and they are really lowballing it.
Because in order to pay only $4,000 in fees on $300,000, the cards you’re processing would have to have a rate of no more than 1.33%, which is pretty much unheard of.
To put things in perspective, if you were to calculate the interchange fees paid on that same amount through Square, which charges rates of at least 2.65%, and is the processor of choice for many small businesses in Canada, it would come to $7,950, which is nearly twice as much as the government’s estimate.
What’s more, even though the government has published several press releases on this agreement, we’re still left with many unanswered questions.
For instance, while the government keeps talking about how businesses will have to qualify with each card network, there’s been no indication of how they can do that, either from the feds or the credit card companies themselves.
So, even as these new changes have come into effect, it’s yet to be seen how businesses will be able to qualify.
Moreover, neither the government nor the credit card companies have given any indication as to where businesses can access the free “cybersecurity and online fraud resources” they’ve committed to provide.
Furthermore, as we’ve learned over the years, many small businesses in Canada are with payment processors outside of Canada, but because this agreement was made solely between the Canadian government, Visa, and Mastercard, there’s no reason to think that these changes will apply to foreign payment processors.
As we outlined above, these reductions are only for “domestic consumer credit interchange fees”, so we can only assume that this applies to Canadian payment processors only.
As a result, many small businesses in Canada will never see these rate reductions, not least because this agreement doesn’t apply to their processors.
Also, in a press release on this agreement published last year, the government said it expects “that payment processors will pass these reductions on to small businesses.”
But if you know anything about our industry, you’d know that many payment processors are notorious for refusing to pass interchange rate reductions on to their customers, instead choosing to obscure these savings by padding people’s bills with miscellaneous fees.
Moreover, the payment processors and the banks are not part of this agreement with the government, so they can continue to do whatever they want, and they will.
Sadly, all of this shows just how out of touch our federal government is with the frustrations of small business owners in this country.
And as far as we’re concerned, this agreement is much too convoluted, it leaves way too many questions unanswered, and it doesn’t go nearly far enough, as it’s not applicable to so many small businesses in Canada.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do to stop the government from being so unclear about this.
But we will continue to cover this ongoing story, making you aware of any new updates, and breaking it down as best we can to help you gain greater clarity on your payment processing.

Gotta agree with the anon about the weird normalization of artists getting away w unprofessionalism. I am 100% down with waiting especially if artists provide general turn around time expectancies and communicate if issues arise, but as someone who used to be a paid artist, your customers should be a priority. Commissions are a service and if you’re paid to do them you need to make good on it or the buyer is completely within their rights to a refund. This weird shaming people for chargebacks etc when the artist is in the wrong is annoying and I remember even sparking a fight over it with an ex-friend. People paying you don’t owe you saintly patience when you fail to meet deadlines or ghost the client. It’s extremely spoiled and entitled to think otherwise. If you can’t meet your own deadlines and promises or “can’t handle it due to mental health” then you should not be taking commissions. End of story.

Beware of MarketRocks.com: Unveiling the Forex Scam
MarketRocks.com — the name might sound promising, but behind the façade lies a web of deceit and financial exploitation. As potential investors, it’s crucial to scrutinize platforms like MarketRocks.com before even contemplating investment. Here’s why.
Unregulated Territory: A Red Flag Waving High
One glance at MarketRocks.com’s website reveals a glaring absence — regulatory compliance. This absence isn’t a mere oversight; it’s a deliberate evasion of oversight that should set off alarm bells for any discerning investor. Without regulatory oversight, your investments are essentially dangling on a thread, vulnerable to manipulation and exploitation.
The Modus Operandi: How the Scam Unfolds
The playbook of unregulated forex brokers like MarketRocks.com is distressingly predictable. They lure unsuspecting victims with promises of effortless wealth and unbeatable returns. From doubling initial deposits to extravagant daily profit projections, their pitches are as seductive as they are deceitful.
Once hooked, clients are handed over to the retention agents — the masterminds behind the scheme. These agents employ every tactic in the book to extract more funds from their victims, pushing them deeper into the abyss of financial ruin.
The Withdrawal Mirage: Chasing Shadows
For those wise enough to attempt a withdrawal, the nightmare intensifies. MarketRocks.com employs delay tactics, stretching the withdrawal process for months on end. By the time clients realize the futility of their efforts, it’s often too late — their funds are irretrievably lost in the labyrinth of scamming.
Reclaiming Your Stolen Funds: A Battle Worth Fighting
If you find yourself ensnared in MarketRocks.com’s web, all hope is not lost. Initiating a chargeback through your bank or credit card provider is a potent weapon against such scams. Document every interaction, every request for withdrawal denied, and present a compelling case to reclaim your funds.
For those who fell victim to wire transfers, the battle is tougher but not insurmountable. Threatening to escalate the matter to authorities and regulatory agencies can compel MarketRocks.com to reconsider refunding your money.
Exposing the Scam: Your Voice Matters
Your experience could spare others from a similar fate. Leave scathing reviews on platforms like Trustpilot or Forex forums, detailing your ordeal with MarketRocks.com. By shedding light on their nefarious practices, you not only seek justice for yourself but also shield potential victims from falling into the same trap.
Stay Vigilant, Stay Safe
In the murky waters of online investing, vigilance is your greatest ally. MarketRocks.com might seem like a promising venture, but beneath the surface lurks a perilous scam. Arm yourself with knowledge, question the legitimacy of every platform, and together, we can thwart the schemes of fraudsters like MarketRocks.com.
