[i stopped scrolling anywhere, including here, on monday. i peeked at the aftermath for just a moment on wednesday and that confirmed my decision to take a break indefinitely. my media consumption since then has been limited mostly to martijn doolaard videos, psych dvd's, and small press poetry sites. i have decided to resume posting here and @noneofthisisreal, but without visiting my dash or reading any other tumblr's posts for the foreseeable future. i have been recording my life here for so long that it is integral to how i process my memories and experience, and i'm not ready to give it up yet

so i have this au called "the mage's heir" where davy never gives simon up after lucy's death and, instead, makes the decision to raise him alone. and kinda does okay! davy is still all *snazzy piano riff* and shit, but in this verse, taking care of simon when he's small forces him to step away from his work and chill the fuck out a bit. at least for a little while. (simon winds up growing up into a signficiantly more arrogant and morally grey version of himself tho.)

The wind is blowing. The leaves are changing colors. A murder of crows has gathered before their voyage to the south, in the gardens of my parents' home. "Winter is coming", I read off of Long Claw, the sword hanging on the wall of my sweetheart's room. Its from one of his favourite stories. The words ring true. "I want to grow old with you," I said to him under the fireworks in the sky.

the winds changed and the plume of chlorine gas is moving across the city today

last night i had dreams of wandering, an adherent to an order of wanderers

the air quality index is moderate but doesn't seem to include an indicator for large scale chemical fires

the updates all say the levels are safe but everyone should stay indoors as much as possible

they've published a special poison control number for exposure

this week more than most i need to roam and ramble for relief from the poison inside but now i'm trapped by the poison outside

kaho and tsuzuri were talking about doing another lazy stream since its been so long and tsuzuri said they should invite hime since the other day she was lying in the school courtyard cloud watching with her for about two hours and she wants to spend more time lazing around with her. kaho and hime have been to the library together too and kaho recommended her lady gunner no bouken since hime likes fps games

Circular Time

Interesting concept to have these much shorter stories each with their own vibe. First off is a fairly standard alien/Time Lord story but interesting how they got around to changing society (for the better?) at the end. Next was jarring to jump into halfway but the predictions based off coins was clever. Then we have entirely historical figure/sci-fi free tale which was lovely but unsure why/how it exists within the oeuvre of this universe! As for the last one, a bit more abstract but is a great setting right at the final moments of The Caves of Androzani. It’s probably a slightly pity these weren’t fleshed out more as they do seem to rush through them too much. Nyssa gets a chance to be more than a walking calculator and fall in love twice over. The Doctor also seems a bit more vulnerable in that last story but in others seems rather pointless with his cricket playing.
