Hi! My Best Friend’s Wedding anon here, would love to give some details 🥰 I won’t go into the whole plot of the movie, but basically it’s about a woman who realizes she’s in love with her best friend/ex boyfriend after he announces that he is getting married, and tries to ruin the wedding and get him to fall back in love with her… shenanigans ensue. I just think the characters in the movie match up really well with Jon, Nancy, and Chrissy.

Jonathan and Nancy as ex high school sweet hearts who stayed best friends after they broke up and moved to different cities for college (NYC and Boston respectively). Jonathan harboring feelings for her for years until he falls in love with Chrissy, a gorgeous and sweet young socialite. Nancy being too stubborn to realize she still loved him until it was too late, trying to break them up, becoming friends with Chrissy against her will because she is impossible to hate, eventually realizing that Jonathan and Chrissy are in love and all she wants is for Jonathan to be happy. It’s got all the drama! I hope someone out there gets the inspiration to write this someday lol

Okay, no, I have. Obviously. I don't remember a lot of the ones I thought of that I never wrote or finished, but I turned Generation Kill into a romcom, and did a fine fucking job if I say so myself.

Accidentally in Love - Nate/Brad, Ray/Walt, Pappy/Rudy -

Brad Colbert's been out of the military and down half a leg for just over a year. He's got an okay job, a profane best friend (who looks like a child molester when he reads those damn YA books on the bus), and a serious concern that no one's ever gonna be into a one-and-a-half legged man like him.

And then he meets Nate Fick, and Brad finds out that finding someone to love means having to love yourself.

Everyone else has cute, domestic au ideas. All I every think of is stuff like high school willemmy where during basketball practice, Will is told that Emory was rushed to the ER because she fell off the roof of the gazebo and he drops everything to get down there. And then the horsemen have to practically tear down walls to find her because they're not "family" meanwhile it's just a sprained ankle and Emmy's fine.

Banks doesn't miss the opportunity to tell them they should have Emmy's head checked because she's still in love with that dunce.

Okay so This AU I'm working on, I've come up with a name for it.

The Aphelion Waltz.

Alex and I have been wanting to do something about aphelion and kalluzeb for awhile, just didn't start putting work towards actively creating an idea for it because we have so many wips but this fic can very easily fit what we want to go for. Or at least we can try. And I look forward to doing so.

But any post we make about it will have that somewhere in the post and in the tags.

Anyway the reason why this post is being made-

Mon Mothma is very much an ambassador and for reasons that will be revealed in the fic, she works very closely with Kallus. And Kallus has this thing about not accepting handouts.

In one of the scenes I have plotted out, he willingly asks her for help procuring an outfit that is subtle but still appropriate for the upper levels. And when I tell you this woman was READY.

She had a stash of clothing that she had made to be tailor fitted to Kallus but never had the opportunity to gift to him in a way that she knew he would accept.

Kallus: "... I am not going to question how you know my measurements or why you just had this prepared in your office... or prepared at all."

Danny Phantom AU where Danny constantly gets mistaken as his own son ala The Rito’s relationship with Link in Breath of the Wild.

Because Danny has gone into the past a few times there are ghosts he has yet to ‘meet’ that know him as that half ghost kid who looks exactly like THE PHANTOM from the far past who disappeared one day and then his look-a-like successor turned up using his name like it’s a privileged moniker. So of course they come to the conclusion that THE PHANTOM faded but before he did he entrusted his heir and son to the Fenton’s.

Obviously Clockwork knows that Danny is the same ghost these ancients met in the past just a little older or even a fair bit older but he isn’t saying anything because it could disrupt the timeline but also because it’s incredibly funny seeing Danny try to explain that he isn’t his own child.

Literally nothing else changes, just sometimes these powerful eldritch monster, wakened god level ghosts turn up when Phantom is suffering in a fight because he’s overworked or has just been hunted on all sides for the past 18 hours and now Technus has showed up whilst he’s in SCHOOL- and they pick him up like a little kitten and promise that if their nephew isn’t left alone right now then fading will be merciful.

The whole of Amity just chooses to all not acknowledge the reality that Phantom is protecting them whilst also apparently being the nephew of ancient gods and that he might be ghost super royalty.

Pariah Dark shows up and Danny doesn’t call on these ancient beings but the last thing Dark sees after being defeated and sealed indefinitely is this eldritch council all very pleased that their nephew followed in his ‘Father’s footsteps in beating old gods.

To have been raised in the Ferrari Academy and by all means a reserve and test driver when he'd won the F2 championship only to see the seat go to Max Verstappen, his former karting rival. It wasn't only that Max got the Ferrari seat right off the bat, but he was also Sebastian Vettel's teammate -- what Charles would've given to experience that. Not only that but Max got a contract extension that was practically unheard for Ferrari, a culture so set in their ways with only older experienced drivers; it must mean they saw something in Max that made him worth it.

Not that Redbull didn't see something in Charles. Christian did the math on how soon they could get a championship rivalling car, and Charles could perhaps beat Sebastian's record of the youngest World Driver's Champion, being younger than Max too by two and a half weeks. Daniel hadn't been too happy about it, when Charles started beating him.

Sometimes, Charles wonders if it all comes to one lap, one final lap in Abu Dhabi that stood between him and the title -- would he be able to make it?

I suddenly remember that there's an possibility that the Modern IRL Soldiers could possibly try to influence or suggest an passing of new legistation law on the aftermath conquest of Pogtopian rebellion on Manberg for the Cambion and other minorities and possibly Hyrbids living on their country of L'manberg considering the situations that Sapnap and the rest of the hybrids on the Pogtopian Rebellion have faced and suffered into while they were was still young and they are being treated by majority of society.

Okay fun fact, L'Manberg was the only place that had laws that allowed hybrids to be considered under 'sentient law' which means that while in the Kingdom the Earl(Sapnap) wasn't really considered a person --though he still had his title cause the Sovereign -- he was considered a person in his Enemies' country. And it's because of these laws, that Schlatt, being a ram hybrid, even just managed to run for office. In any other place he wouldn't have been able to cause he wouldn't have been considered a person.

I don't know! While I don't know of any fics exactly like that (and usually royal AUs aren't my thing) to recommend you or anything, I do like the idea. If you're into writing it you might as well go for it!

Like, Cap!Steve comes from a celebrity/superhero status - royalty in it's own way - when he wakes up in the 21st century and modern!Bucky comes from a true, traditional royal status, so... when they first meet, they find that they each understand parts about the other's life that maybe "normal" people wouldn't, being royal and famous. (Though it's hard for Steve to ever admit that it can be tough to be so well known because, to Steve, it feels like complaining about something he doesn't deserve.)

And, yeah, then of course they'd get backlash because in this particular omegaverse AU heteronormativity is still a thing and the acceptance of gay rights are much like in our own modern world (better than ever but not great, not by a long shot) so they get shit for coupling up. A male alpha and male omega. How scandalous! AND shit from Bucky's own family/associates because heaven forbid-! Steve's not really royal. Steve is instead comparable to someone wealthy with "new money" rather than "old money" [feel the Great Gatsby vibes I'm sending you lol]
