“Ritsuka?” Her quiet voice whispers against his chest, her warm breath fanning his shirt.

He hums in response, making no move to open his eyes just yet.

There was a long pause. One that made him question himself if she had simply mumbled it in her sleep.

But the hand on his shirt turns into a tight grip, and she leans forward to press closer to him.

“If you ever die, can I replace you?” Rokka asks.

 He smiles.

He kisses the top of her head, “You know I won’t let that happen.”

“Still...”

He pulls away for a bit, to properly look into her eyes. “This is my burden to bear. For me to fix whether I truly die trying or not.”

She was silent again for a moment. In the dim light, he could see how her eyes held a conflict he understood. “You know how I am. You know how we are, Ritsuka.”

“I know.” He says, knowing how complicated the matters were in regards to their purpose in life. He fully understood what Rokka’s pain was and what her views were. But that wouldn’t stop him from moving forward.

“I could lend you some of my rights as Master, but I would never give all of them to you.”

“Or I could steal it from you and I’d make it mine permanently.”

There was no helping his small chuckle, “True, but I’d always take it back. I know for sure I’d do it too if our places were reversed.”

This time she groaned, “Ritsuka...!”

“What, me?” Ritsuka laughs taking her into his arms again, “Us? So you’re exasperated at yourself too?”

“Ugh, can we just sleep...” She makes no move to separate herself from him.

“Weren’t you the one who started his topic?”

She ran a hand down her hair, “Fine, fine. Then what am I supposed to do now?”

Ritsuka tucks a red lock of hair behind her ear, “Do what you’ve always done with your Chaldea.” 

He replies as if it was the simplest solution in the world, “Spend time with our friends, join Mash and I in our usual tea time, summon new Servants, get stressed over farming but with me this time... You know, the usual?”

Of course he knew Rokka would get conflicted and guilty trying to do all these things with him. Especially since she had half the intention of replacing him here.

But he doesn’t want her to be alone anymore. He doesn’t want her to disappear alone, trapped in void space with no one there to be by her side in her last moments.

Perhaps, for his part, he too, wanted someone like him. Someone who fully understood “Fujimaru Ritsuka” not as a friend, accomplice, murderer, or Master. Someone who was his own “self”.

Rokka’s hand trembled. 

“You’re an idiot.” Her voice wavered, she buries her face in his chest.

He laces her hand with his own and holds onto it tightly, “I know.”

Ritsuka wouldn’t be alone anymore and neither would he.

F/GO verse (zhongli)

with all the sources that the master of chaldea can summon from, it's no surprise that one from the land of a fictional story is available to them. the character of "zhongli" from teyvatian myhology is summonable in two forms: a lancer self, which is that of the modern man, zhongli, and a ruler self, himself as the god of commerce, earth, and war, morax.

for zhongli, he is the more defense and support focused of the two, while morax is much more attack based but still with a significant bulk. the lancer's noble phantasm is planet befall, summoning a massive meteor to rain down upon foes. while his ruler self's noble phantasm is creation of guyun, instead making use of the massive stone spears he'd once created the eponymous rock formation from.

I dont think it's ever confirmed if it's specifically his own body but it's probably his, Holmes', or Kaspar's. It's definitely named specifically after "the place [Moriarty] died" so it's likely one of the first two, but since it's also the physical source of his Freeshooter skill it could be Kaspar (assuming I'm remembering Der Freischutz correctly)

in all seriousness, zarina could’ve become a beast in fgo. like a kiara, but in a different way of course, but she genuinely will not ever succumb to that in any au/alternative universe because she values her humanity more to the point of repressing the servant / deity and taking over as a servant, retaining her memories and “herself” instead of just being a vessel.

ARCHER SHINJI? archer shinji. ( in the fgo type format, i guess )

a grail that was convinced it was a boy called shinji matou, or the boy named shinji matou who absorbed the grail. either way, he is a tragedy. a strange servant with strange parameters, because he has the grail heart from fuyuki’s fifth war. he isn’t sure what his wish would be, since in his life, he already accomplished it.

BASICS

CLASS SKILLS

MAGIC RESISTANCE E ~ B  a boy who contained the holy grail while he lived �� his magic resistance is affected by the number of servants that have been defeated, as his nature as a grail. it only reaches rank B at most due to the human container. INDEPENDENT ACTION A → A+ . this is a skill of the archer class allowing a servant’s survival without a master . shinji will be able to stay at most a week , providing he conserves energy , this applies to a true summoning rather than what he usually does .

PERSONAL SKILLS

HOLY GRAIL EX  the grail heart of the fifth war. this skill is literally the reason his main parameters, save agility, are all over the place. the longer a war goes or the more servants fall, the stronger he gets as accordance with the creation of heaven’s feel. this does not affect the power of his noble phantasm. ALCHEMY EX  a master alchemist as a child, this skill is granted for that. it is at this rank because it is the translation of the circuits he closed himself off of, as well. CLAIRVOYANCE C (A)  as a grail, he can see millions of years in the future in an instant. he suppresses this skill for his own peace of mind. HEAVEN’S FEEL C  the grail is in fact meant to perform heaven’s feel with the souls of seven servants. this should be the wish-granting ability. since he isn’t functioning as the grail of a war, he uses this power to protect or give mana to other servants. if he was an einzbern, this rank would be higher INDEPENDENT MANIFESTATION EX  since he is truly a grail, he has a great ability to control where he arrives. this skill is usually reserved for the BEAST CLASS.

NOBLE PHANTASM

ARROW OF HEAVEN — WILL OF THE HOLY GRAIL EX → ‘EX’  anti - unit. a divine power channeled from himself, the grail, it is meant as a quick end to enemy by destroying their manifestation and returning them to the root. it works as a self replenishment for himself and for his master, if he has one. however, the amount of replenishment depends on the targeted servant.

Nanami is a mage from a family with a background in magic, though their bloodline lacks in any intensity of the ancient families who move things around in the shadows. Despite working hard and pushing himself while he was at the C.lock Tower, ultimately, without having powerful family crests as well as money practically oozing out his pockets, there was truly no future for him there. At the end of the day, he would always be beneath someone else, always forced to remember that hardwork means nothing in the society he was born in. Faintly bitter of this fact, he moved on and found other things to do with his life that did not involve magic and all that entailed. Color him surprised when one day, he awoke to the familiar signs of one chosen as a Master for a Holy Gra.il War. What desires did he hold to make it choose him out of others...? What was that powerful wish? That was something he pondered. Still, in the end, he accepted the mark he had and decided that he would continue onwards. What a bother it would be for those in power for someone from some ‘nameless’ magi family to win such a war.

Maybe that was his desire.

Fate Gran.d Order;;

Just a plain ol’ staff worker. He takes the upkeep of Chaldea quite seriously and ensures that everything is up to date. Is there enough food? Are the Servants dipping into too much of it? How are the power levels? Please make sure you place overdue books back into the library, thank you. He might have possibilities for being a Master, but his interest is zero percent. He is perfectly fine serving as support as well as someone others can speak to if they need it.

There was a long silence following her words, seeming to go through a series of emotions all at once as she struggled to form an answer.

What was he to her?  Even she wasn’t quite sure anymore.  Too many thoughts about the most talented magus of their generation seemed to swirl around her head, so much so that she could barely make sense of them all.

First and foremost he was her  Friend.  The first one she’d ever made and the one who had pushed her to keep walking down the path she chose for herself.  He was the boy in the clocktower who had said ‘good morning’ and asked her about her day every time he saw her.  He was the man she’d spent hours debating over tea about the smaller aspects of mage life that annoyed each of them, before laughing about how ridiculous each of their situations were.  Wodime was the one who was there for her when she had nothing and noone.

He  saved  her.

On the other hand...  Lord Kirschtaria was her  Rival.  The one she’d dueled over and over again and never beaten, no matter how much she practised  —  no matter what tricks she learned, she had never beaten him once.  In all their time as friends in the clocktower, she had only come close once.  Well, at least...  Not until...

And finally, he was a  Crypter.  A man resolute in his drive to see his lostbelt prevail above all others.  Resolute in his path to destroy the world that she so loved, despite its flaws, the very world where she had met him and he had given her far more than she could ever have wished for when she joined the Mage Association.  Despite all that happened, he was  determined  in his path to erase it all...

Coming back to her senses, Yuko let out a soft sigh, her cheeks still faintly burning from the embarrassment.  Wait...  Why was she so embarrassed?  She’d never felt like that before when thinking about him...

“  Wodime is very important to me.  I...  I admire him  and his determination, even if I don’t agree with the path he chose to take.  And despite how much he hurt me when he chose that path, I still forgive him, and I would do that over and over again.  He’s the one who’s saved me twice now from a darkness that I couldn’t pull myself out of, and I will be grateful for that  forever.

I don’t know exactly what it is that I feel for him, but...  I hope that the warmth in my chest I feel when I think of him never fades again.  ”

             THERE WAS SOMETHING STRANGE about this Heroic Spirit, something Nero simply just couldn’t put her finger on. Not that it really mattered --- there were already a fair bit of strange and weird servants around ( and she was certainly no exception. ) Weird or not, he was still a servant and SHE was still paired up with him for a mission. It wasn’t anything too difficult, just a few goblins and other various creatures.

fgo verse basics. 

hey remember when gilgamesh shoved the grail in shinji’s body? well, surprise, he lived. and now he’s going to suffer as A Grail. but, this means he’s relatively constant in his existence, as an omnipotent entity in the shape of a young man named shinji matou, he has survived a lot. so, next step is aiding chaldea. 

shinji is bitter about most things, but in the end, he doesn’t hate humanity. he is capable of sustaining many servants at once due to his nature as a grail, but he prefers to just work as himself. he’ll summon if he has to. 

he is capable of battling. he uses archery augmented with alchemy and grail-magic, and he will trash someone’s whole career if he’s pushed far enough. he also has some... bitter memories? bittersweet memories? and he isn’t sure what to think of some servants ( using the bodies of people he knew? sorta unsettling, but it’s not that he’s any different. )
