Nora Headcanons

NOTE II: Nora is a Fire Emblem: Fates AU version of Lucina from Fire Emblem: Awakening. For her original version from Awakening, please refer to the hero king legacy tag or this post.

After peace had been restored, and her family saved, Lucina remained with them for a bit longer to satiate that longing for a family she thought she had sought. However, she soon felt like there was something else she had to do, somewhere else she had to go. After being forced to fight almost every single day of her life to survive at a young age already, she was always nervous, always on the lookout for something that might bring harm upon her or her family.

Although she did love being with her parents again, her prayers to Naga were filled with a sense of unfulfillment. Hearing her prayers, Naga answered with a suggestion. A suggestion that would cost Lucina her current happiness and pillar in life.

Similar to the last time, a portal opened — albeit much smaller —, and a young woman stepped through before it closed behind her. Her hair had been cut short, and a different name would adorn her identity, yet her heart had remained the same. If there was a place for her where she was able to help, she would not hesitate.

The name she had chosen for herself, Nora, belonged to a woman from her own past, a handmaiden who had tried to protect her when doom collapsed upon them. She bears the name proudly despite only using it as a cover, so she can do justice for those who are too weak to protect others or themselves.

The village she had appeared close to was between Cheve and Cyrkensia, her way ultimately leading towards the more Southern option. She earns a living by working as a mercenary, but also offers her help for a warm meal and a place to rest. It took quite some time in order to get used to the situation, and she is sometimes shocked about the requests she declined. However, being able to help those in need and earn her living like this, does fill her chest with pride.

Her nightmares have improved, but she still struggles with sleeping for a long time. A small sound is capable of waking her up, and she jumps awake as soon as someone is near her. Still, some improvements have been made, and sometimes she even has pleasant dreams of her family.

She still wields Falchion in battle, considering it one of the few keepsakes she was able to take with her into this new world. Her father's ring hangs on a necklace she never takes off, and she still has her tiara in her belongings. Memories from the past to keep her company.

She still is incredibly clumsy outside of battle, yet it has never interfered with her work.

Now that she has more time, she tries to learn about makeup and fashion. It seems, however, that she is a hopeless case, much to her frustration.

Nora is not aware of familiar faces also having ended up in this world. If she were to meet them, certainly some suspicion would cloud her heart, but it would also mean great amounts of joy for her.

Mikoto Headcanons

[ cw // death ]

NOTE: this is an alternative universe portrayal of Mikoto in which she got revived again after the death of Hydra/Anankos. For this AU, please refer to headcanon #1 - #5. Alternatively, she can also be encountered before her death as the Queen of Hoshido.

RESURRECTION AU.

[ au by default ] After the final fight against Hydra / Anankos, the last remaining part of his human loving, sane identity yearned for Mikoto to be happy. While his powers were fading, he granted the lingering wish a body from his last memories and transferred the last bit of energy into it. In his last moment, he was with Mikoto one last time.

Mikoto was found at a lake in Hoshido, people wondering if someone had stolen her body or was impersonating her. With Mikoto being extremely weak and disorientated, she was not able to argue with them, which actually lowered hostility towards her.

She was brought to the palace of Hoshido after word had spread to Ryōma's ears. Sitting upon the Throne of Truth confirmed her identity, albeit some still remain suspicious of her.

Ever since Mikoto returned, she has been in a weak condition due to the little life force Hydra / Anankos had left to give her. She oftentimes is sickly and has headaches, but tries to take her medicine properly in order not to worry anyone too much.

She experiences strong headaches, specifically when she tries to remember the time between her actual death and her being found at the lake. Not being able to remember that time gives her reason to be scared of still being under some outer influence, resulting in her also seeking to keep a protective distance from those close to her.

ADDITIONAL HEADCANONS.

She had always been quite the airhead, even during her childhood. While Shenmei / Arete was supposed to become the heir to the throne, proudly resembling their father, Mikoto was allowed to wander the palace without too many responsibilities. She always loved taking strolls with her handmaidens and was rather popular among the common folk for being very approachable and considerate. A habit that also helped her earn the trust of the Hoshidan people.

The nature of her being a stare-in-the-air often results in a lot of bruises and black spots she didn't realize she had until someone points it out, or she accidentally touches them. However, she has never broken a single bone ever.

Mikoto had always, even as a young child, had an extremely accurate intuition, making it very difficult to play guessing games against her. Later, at an older age, it became more obvious that she had a strange affinity for prophecies, albeit being unable to control them properly to exploit her powers.

As a child already, she loved braiding hair and putting together outfits with and for others. Sumeragi's children were able to enjoy these bonding activities.

After Aqua / Azura was kidnapped and brought to Hoshido, Mikoto was distraught that she could not see her own child again, having lost the last living family she believed to have. However, having found out that Aqua / Azura was actually her niece, Mikoto tried her best to make her feel loved and appreciated. She never compared her to her own child, yet might have projected unto Aqua / Azura from time to time.

The marriage with Sumeragi certainly came as a surprise to many, even Mikoto herself. Having arrived in a foreign land with no support, no home, not a soul to speak to, she found great comfort in the tenderness Sumeragi was showing her. She still held on to her feelings for the strange wanderer, the father of her child, yet the pain of that love also had isolated her for long enough that the Hoshidan king's appreciation felt like salvation. At first, she felt guilty for developing feelings for another man while still longing for an old love. She even told Sumeragi of her emotional situation and that she did not wish to force the child of another man upon him, yet his persistence eventually softened her heart for him. Learning about him being the father of his own children and how he treated them was the final thing that convinced Mikoto that he was a person who could save her from her loneliness. Still, guilt was a persistent companion of hers, especially after he was killed while trying to protect her child, doubling her grief. Perhaps there was a reason why those around her became victims of ill fortune... Perhaps it was her who brought it upon them.

Ryōma was the one who helped her out of her depressive phase after Kamui / Corrin's capture the most. Despite her not even being his mother, he had always treated her with great respect and appreciation; after the incident, he ensured she was never alone with her thoughts, taught her about Hoshidan customs as his father once had, and encouraged those around them to place their trust in the new queen of their country.

She has found a deep appreciation for Kinshis, which were not native to her home. However, as much as she tried to become familiar with one, she seems incredibly unlucky with animals in general, scaring them away or startling them in some way or another. No one knows why that is the case, considering her serene personality should help her becoming familiar with animals.

It would be the Vallite sisters from FE:If, Arete and Mikoto drawn together as young children! My old wish, I've never seen art depicting them as kids ANYWHERE. Their whole relationship really deserves so much more content, I love imaging what sort of life they might've had growing up in Valla before Anakos swept in... The wiki doesn't say at all how many years difference the sisters are, but I picture Mikoto as the sweet younger sister who's a bit more excitable and very well-loved by most people she meets, and Arete as the more subdued older sister who cares very deeply for the few special people in her life and is v protective of her little sis. I could be totally off, but here's some drawings!

Muse Notes & Disclaimers

Please read for general but important information on my portrayal of specific muses, which may deviate from canon or popular fanon portrayals, as well as brief au descriptions.

FIRE EMBLEM: AWAKENING.

Tharja will not be possessive of Robin. While she will seek their presence and still shows behaviors that may be off-putting, she will not invade their privacy. For more information on this, please refer to this post.

FIRE EMBLEM: FATES.

Regarding names, I personally am more familiar with the Japanese names. However, most of my muses have their English name as a nickname, or will simply treat the English version of their name as an equivalent of the Japanese version. Feel free to use any of them.

Camilla will not be as possessive of Kamui/Corrin or overly friendly with just anyone. For more information, please refer to this post.

Mikoto is written either before her death, or after Hydra/Anankos was defeated. In the latter case, she has been revived by the remaining human part of Hydra with his last breath. For more information, please refer to this post.

Lucina AU can be encountered in Fateslandia. She travelled through time under the guidance of Naga again, in order to save more people from a doomed fate. For more information, please refer to this post.

Pieri/Peri references her Japanese portrayal more, thus joking less about her murders and referring to herself in third-person singular. For more information, please refer to this post.

Zero is a mixture of both his original and localized portrayal. He will be making sexual innuendos (which can be toned down for muns who are uncomfortable with that), but is not as cruel as in, for example, his supports with Mozume/Mozu in the original.

FIRE EMBLEM: THREE HOUSES.

Byleth did not necessarily teach their classes as in the original game. I do not feel comfortable letting someone so young and inexperienced take care of a class. Instead, they assisted Jeralt, who was the main teacher, as an assistant and filled their spot only after Jeralt's death. I will post a more descriptive post about this soon and link it here.

Catherine is not fanatic as in the original game. She is still fiercely loyal to Rhea, but will not blindly judge people who oppose the Church or the Archbishop.

I am aware of Ingrid's racism towards the people of Duscur. While I will not completely remove it from her character, I do not feel comfortable replicating it. Thus, I will only write her after her B-Support with Dedue. She is still in the process of unlearning her habits and patterns of thought, but is determined to work on herself and treat others with respect, regardless of their ethnicity.

Sothis has been recovered after being able to fully rest during Byleth's stasis. More powerful after the intensive recovery, she has regained more of her original appearance (reference I. II. III.) and persona. For more information, please refer to this post.

Hanya interacting with other Ten-Lords Commission members, or Trailblazer members. I want her to connect with others who are not influenced by her work status and are allowed to talk to her. Also, make her talk about her sister, she would love that.

Pom-Pom with everyone boarding the express, I am begging.

Xueyi being confronted with how she handles being unable to express emotions, despite still caring for her sister. Something like an identity search for someone who deems it unnecessary.

Genshin Impact Wishlist

Below are some interactions / concepts / ideas I'm specifically interested in. It is a good place to look at if you're searching for possible thread ideas and if my interests match with yours.

All Knights of Favonius interacting with each other are always welcome. I'm not familiar with having exclusives, so feel free to throw anyone at any of my knights!

Jean handling her work and daily life. Help her with her work, go on diplomatic travel to a different country with her, or force her to take a break. Interactions with Diluc, Lisa, or important figures of other countries are also always very welcome. I headcanon her to go on diplomatic trips to strengthen the political and economic bonds between Mondstadt and other regions, so she can be encountered by many other characters as well.

Kokomi interacting with all Inazuman characters after the end of the Inazuman Archon quest. I want her to communicate with former enemies (namely Sara and Ei), with allies she can now become familiar with on maybe more friendly levels, those she has always relied on (cough cough Gorou cough cough) or just unexpected encounters with the Arataki Gang.

Paimon interacting with the Traveler. Let her be with her bestie.

Rosaria interacting with outsiders of Mondstadt, Kaeya, Jean, or Barbara in specific.

Shenhe interacting with Xiao, Traveler, Ganyu, Xianyun, Chongyun, or Childe. I want her to learn more about the "human customs" and connect with society more. I'd love for her to make connections with people that teach her about the world and how to navigate relationships with others. Also, please let her fight Childe.

Lost Future; interactions set in Lucina's doomed timeline, focusing mostly on the children and how they handle their loss, grief, newfound hope and responsibilities.

Members of the Shepherds handling Aversa, who had recently joined them, focusing on their own opinions and whether they tolerate / accept her.

Please make Chrom and Lissa talk about how he handles Emmeryn's death and what kind of responsibility that means for them — Chrom as a caretaker, leader, heir, etc. and Lissa as a sister and admirer of Em, who idolized her.

Threads of Cordelia talking about her late friends and her survivor guilt. Or romance. Angst or fluff, there is no in between.

Emmeryn talking with anyone associated with her before her fall and how they handle her assumed death and followed reunion with the Shepherds.
