It takes a month or two for Logan to become attached to Beast. He's a Doctor, and Logan Does Not like doctors. Seeing anyone in a lab coat means Experiments and Pain and Magnets. But when he sees the Beast destroying Sentinels to protects his students, roaring and baring his teeth and using all of himself to fight, well. Like recognizes Like.

Better yet, Hank is much more patient than any Doctor he's had before. He asks before jabbing him with needles and cold metal stethoscopes and doesn't even use the Collar to drag him around!

The first time they spar, though, it tiggers a memory (and a subsequent panic attack). The Beast just holds his wrists, murumurs reassurances, and rubs his thumbs against the outside of Loans knuckles, uncaring of his claws. After that, they really do start to bond. So much so that it causes...some codependency issues in Logan when he has to be appart from His Person. But, that all comes later.

Logan and Beast

AOB AU where Logan, much like real wolverines, has multiple life mates, and so far, he has a little harem of Omega Wade who he raises "kits" with, Omega Morph, and Beta Kurt (who dosn't even need bred he just used to help Logan out with his ruts and they never broke up once Logan found his omegas)

And he alternates them, scheduling each of their dick appointments weeks in advance of their heats. Sometimes, Morph can trick their heat by morphing into an alpha, but if their alpha is around, they can't mea while Kurt dosn't have heats and is just kinda here for some extra fun and the cuddle piles that accure during Logan's Ruts, when they all hunker down in the bedroom and kurt is sent to teleport supplies in.

For the most part, it's just Logan taking turns pounding them, letting the others watch and growling at them if they get too close. Their hierarchy is pretty basic on who gets mounted first. It goes Wade, Kev, and then Kurt.

Wade has to go first to get all of Logans feralness out and because if not, Wade gets too jealous and growls at kevin while theyre being bred, which ultimately leads to Logan having to snarl at him to behave and be patient.

Wade is all up for sharing but he wants to be the dominant bitch. This isn't really an issue for Kev since they have a lot of anxiety and insecurity, being in heat makes it way worse.

It's not that Wade has an issue sharing his Alpha its just that he's the 'alpha' omega and by the time hes fucked out and filled, if anything he tries to nuzzle them all. Once in a good while Logan will allow Kurt to mount kev while hes dealing with wades bratty ass, having to constantly reclaim him because of how quickly his marking heals.

By the end of it Logan snuggles them all in the huge 'den' he made out of smelly clothes and the bloody matress. It's a purr fest from there on out, passing a cigar around and chugging water.

It makes Logan to happy to see his omegas (and beta) satisfied and getting along.

The kits in question being foster kittens and puppies from the shelter, Or Bamfs if they're isn't a healthy litter old enough for raising.

Logan will keep them in the den, carrying them around and growling if wade tries to play too rough with them, sometimes dragging wade to his "kits" and forcing him to stay there while he hunts for him COUGH makes dinner COUGH.

Puppins is excited either way, being gentle with them but sometimes getting jealous if her papa doesn't give her equal attention.

Once the litter is old enough to be adopted out, Wade has to give him the "They're big enough to go without us now" talk and watch as their "kits" go to different families.

By then, when all the "kits" get adopted, it throws Logan into another rut. Because good wolverine dads usually always have at least one litter to look after.

In between litters, his other kits being "too old" dosn't stop him from trying to put gabby laura and Puppins in a nest too when they visit.

"Dad stop you're being weird."

"I just want to make sure you're safe."

"You're being drimatic!"

"You need to rest >:("

"Im an adult now I don't need to-"

"Get in the fucking blankets!"

"Litsen to your father pumpkin or else he's just gonna be pouty all night about it." Wade chimes in with a sigh.

She rolls her eyes, sitting in the stupid blanket pile, and Logan is the happiest thing on earth, cuddling all his babies and slicing anyone who comes near them.

Once Logan's fucked the snarling Alpha-rage out of his system, he can move into fluffy softe mode with his other partners..... and with Wade, ofc! He gets SOOOOO snuggly and warm.... like he's still growly and claiming whenever they wiggle, but he's full of purrs........

Thinking of a hybrid au where Charles takes care of cat! Logan.

Is he a wildcat? A puma? Some stray that randomly followed Charles around for weeks and came to live with and never left? Who knows, you pick.

Aside from the uncontrollable temper, occasionally tussling with Althea’s feral German Shepherd, Wade, and the random baby hybrid Logan brings home once every couple months, he’d say it’s going great.

He has no idea where he brings these little things from, but, they’re so little, skinnier than any child should be, and he can tell they don’t come from a very good shelter.

Kitty is a shy lynx cub and Logan does NOT let her out of his sight.

Jubilee is a mischievous raccoon he found digging through their trash and basically took in.

Bobby is a smiling golden retriever puppy and Everytime Wade comes to visit, they roll around in the yard.

Laura is very different. Because Laura was his before. Sadly, a lot of hybrid parents get separated from their youngling when they’re taken to facilities. Or fighting rings/army, in Logan’s case.

Point is: he is NOT letting go of those babies.

Logan gives him the brattiest snarl he’s ever heard, knocks over the freshly cut bowl of strawberries Charles was chopping for Kitty, and grabs her, Jubilee, Bobby and Laura. At once. And hides in the attic for a week.

Is this just an intricate ploy to have Ororo, Scott’s EXPENSIVE, majestic cat play with Logan’s kits on the carpet while he and the professor meet up to discuss? Maybe.

She’s so pristine, and so beautiful and the pretty jewelry Scott buys her are so sparkly that Jubilee, baby raccoon, just HAS to touch on them.

No thoughts except Roro playing with them like kittens on the carpet and Logan is both growling because DO NOT TOUCH HIS KITS and god damn beautiful CAT—-

I just imagined: What if there's an AU where Logan and Reader are experiments, maybe for the Weapon X scientists, maybe for something else, or for some mutant-experimenting group, and Sabretooth (a.k.a., his brother) ends up taking care of them once they've been busted out?

Let's look at it this way:

Logan has been in that place for Heaven only knows how long. He's seen sh*t, he's heard all sorts of awful things, and he's lived them. Then there's a kid thrown in with him, and suddenly he's a dad now. (Who else is going to parent this random kid/teen? The scientists? F*ck no!) So he's now trying to keep himself and this kid alive, biding his time until he finds the best opportunity for them to leave.

Reader is this random kid/teen who's been put into this program/experiment, and they've been tossed into the mess with no safety net... Until they end up with Logan, or as everyone else calls him, Wolverine. And Reader, seeing a feral, growly, possibly dangerous individual... tries to be gentle. Tries to treat him as a person. (This guy is covered in wounds and reeks of blood, and obviously needs care, and they're all in this together, aren't they?) And Reader is soon met with someone who is their protector in this H*ll they're living in, someone who'd kill for them and die for them, if the situation called for it. Too bad Reader would do the same for him...

(They become cellmates/cell-buddies. Logan, when he's not chained to the wall or floor or restrained in some way is curled around Reader. Reader tries to keep his humanity intact, and tries to maintain both of their sanities. The moment someone tried to take Reader away, Logan bit someone's arm off-)

Sabretooth comes into play when he finds out about this secret program trying to make or recapture mutant experiments, wanting soldiers or guards or weapons... And when he catches wind of a rumor, that his baby brother is in there... He decides to make it his business. And realizes he's going to have to get involved if he wants to get him out mostly intact.

Trying to act the part of a willing subject... oh, it grates on his nerves... Having to act like he's loyal, or controlled. Doing what they say when they say it. But the reward... tearing out their throats and getting his brother away from them, causing chaos, too... is too sweet, too much of a good thing, to pass up. Then he finds out his brother is attached to another subject, and suddenly he's now trying to figure out if he needs to keep them alive, too.

And what he finds... it convinces him to keep Reader alive.

They're the only good thing to his brother in this h*llscape. The only one treating him with any respect or decency. And that earns them his protection. Not to mention they're a small pup, just a cub, in a den of snakes and lions... And his brother likes them. Those are enough reasons for him to add Reader into his plan, to the list of people to break out. (If he roughs up or sets up a few jerks so they can have a taste of what they've given his runt or the cub, it's no one's business-)

And finally, the day comes and he can break them out... Except something goes horribly wrong, and he's now trying to make sure Reader is alive while struggling to keep his brother from running off with them. (Neither of them are in a position to survive alone, or to go another week without proper care and for and safety). So that leaves him with hardly any choice but to kidnap his brother and hide him and the kid where no one can get to them. They can all fight it out when they're well again, but that isn't going to be for a long time, and he does miss taking care of his brother... And he gets to care for the cub, who needs extra careful care and gentleness... So he's going to be busy for quite awhile now, isn't he?... He can't wait to get them warm and cleaned up and fed. They're just going to have to be kept very sleepy and relaxed while he works his own brand of healing and caring for them, 'kay? Just let good ol' Victor take care of everything...

You know what's funny is the "Accidental Werewolf Logan" isn't the only werewolf/supernatural kinda au where one of the Ghosts goes through the "Accidental Werewolf" shtick and then gets up to nonsense shenanigans.

The OTHER one has all the Walkers as werewolves already, and then Keegan gets jumped (Bitten) by a feral werewolf and then goes through what is basically werewolf puberty. And I say that because it literally is. Logan and Hesh and Elias all went through their growing pains as teens because they were born that way (Lady Gaga?!) but Keegan got bitten so he has to deal with it as a human adult. (Which, fun fact, makes him rank the lowest. Akin to actual wolves, parents/oldest are in charge, and Keegan is considered Baby because he just became a werewolf.)

The whole thing is basically "Get Adopted Dipshit." because he gets adopted. Like. Very near legally adopted. Elias, being the "closest" both in familiarity and actual space, is legally obligated to AT THE LEAST keep a very close eye on Keegan so he doesn't lose his shit and go feral. (Ferality is basically just "Stuck in the mixed form, going off instinct and nothing else." which is bad because instincts don't really jive with modern times.) (Also the reason closeness is a deciding factor in who has to watch newbies is that it helps reduce stress if a person is more familiar with who is basically their ward and stress can effect chances of going feral.)

Keegan has mixed feelings about the whole affair. On one hand, his teeth fucking fell out. (Not all of them, "milk teeth" are his incisors top/bottom. Rest of them stay.) On the other hand, his eyes glow in the dark now. (Elias showed him that during a doctors visit, Keegan was impressed.) On a third hand, Elias going "Good job buddy!" at him hits the same yet different as it did before.

😎 Ok so you’re right but about me not hibernating but it is your fault dirtyvulture ( I have ADHD so I have hyper fixations and your so good I am hyper fixated on your AUs ) because you keep me constantly thinking and heading canoning and having to post it . I have tried to hibernate but nooo your too amazing ( in all seriousness I have tried to spaced things out so I didn’t annoy people but I do feel loved that you say that I am always welcome) and now asking me to keep the carnivores feed 😤🙄. So now here I with my last head canon I can formulate until I have more content ( I will reserve my smutty head canon and the sergeant Romanoff angst until I have more information. Or at least until people or vulture begs for them) . This is some reasons for the cuteness in some of Wolverine R actions . In Canon when Wolverine manifested their abilities and killed Thomas Logan after he broke in, killed their father and was trying to take their mother it was with uncharacteristic fury and brutality.

Originally R ( YN could be her birth name or one she takes up later in life ) had a higher more feminine sounding voice and really long thick hair, as opposed to the gruffer lower pitched voice and short tufty hair that she has now. R was a very happy and playful girl who loved to laugh and sing , a girl who had a frail and sickly disposition ( she was known as little bird or little songbird) but was very gentle with a protectiveness in her to the ones she loves. R’s canon event happens and that is when her beastly feral side starts, R also starts to drink and smoke a bit ( not nearly as much now only here and there at this time). R’s old friend ( or love or how ever vulture wants to do this ) loved R’s singing and her long hair. They also hated R’s drinking and smoking ( much like Nat hates R’s ) so R stopped for them ( like she did for Nat) with the same ticks as mentioned but not nearly as bad as the ones Nat has to deal with. When R loses the old friend she lets out a PRIMAL YELL that RIPs something inside of her apart, all the drinking ( especially the kinda whiskey that burns on the way down ) and smoking streps out her throat giving her the voice she has today( she still has a lovely singing voice) .She also cut her hair off that day never letting it grow out again , can’t stand looking at her self with long hair again. All of R’s beastly and feral tendencies went into full swing after that day but she still did maintain her old self’s gentleness and all the good qualities that has been so buried within time.

Nat didn’t notice it at first but definitely noticed it in car but when R started to hum songs and when she sang a bit she had traces of her old higher pitched voice in it. When R was being and speaking gently to Nat before the confrontation with the RR agents, when R spoke gently to her at the bar and at the cabin. But when we do our grunts or were being more aggressive our voice is all gruff lower pitched. When we did our awkward smile and our actions it was in part because we were embarrassed because we were caught up in vibes but it was also because we wanted to ease the tension with Nat ( R was so used to being called a monster, a beast, an animal after people see her claws but R didn’t want Nat scared) , Baby girl was trying 😭. But in that awkward smile and acts Nat noticed traces of the girl or person that used to be ( or was just really buried deep within) .

I love all the backstory you've come up with Wolverine!R :) But R is definitely a softy on the inside, it just doesn't seem obvious at first. Perhaps with some time she'll open up more to Nat and something special will blossom between them.

I can’t see Logan taking a female CEO of any company seriously, let alone one that wants to buy him out, so we'd have to go with Luka Matsson being misspelled to Lukas Matsson in a magazine article early on in GoJo’s history and because she doesn't do interviews, it never got corrected. Everyone outside of Scandinavia assumes Luka is a guys name anyway so the myth rumbles on and she uses it to her advantage whenever anyone is caught off guard by the revelation that GoJo's CEO is a woman.

Enter the Roy’s with none of them doing their due diligence properly so Logan rolls up to meet the son he wished he’d had but instead of a six foot four Viking CEO, it's a six foot four Valkyrie CEO. It's awkward to say the least, especially when it quickly becomes apparent that Luka isn't some dumb blonde bimbo or just a pretty figure head - she's got them by the balls by the time Logan is casket ready.

Because men are pigs they’d all try and fuck her, including Logan, and Kendall would attempt to convince her to do some sort of marriage of convenience with the idea that he could screw her over for the company at a later date. Shiv enters the chat with her "Boss Girl" energy and tries to make an alliance which also ends up falling flat. Team Sweden has a good giggle about this whilst they’re waiting for the deal to go through, although Luka is a bit miffed that the little brunette she had her eye on yelled at her whilst standing on a rock.

Tom still gets the CEO role which pisses Shiv off because what about women supporting women? And girl power? Luka flits off back to Europe once the dust has settled with Roman in tow. They’re married within a year with Roman fully embracing his role as a trophy husband. Not long after there's a baby on the way and nobody would have guessed that Roman would have been the one to provide Logan with a true born grandchild.

HOWEVER! 

Girl Lukas and girl Roman would make me go absolutely feral. Thats the AU we need!

ok i’m going nuts. i SWEAR i did a BIG post trying to detangle the Victor/Logan timeline that showed that Clara was like...3 years younger than Logan? but for the life of me i cannot find it. 

i wanted to double check my numbers cause i’m watching VC Andrews movies from Lifetime, and i think i got another “Victoria kllled Zebadiah and ran off with her kids” AU in my head where instead of her heading south to Calgary and the railroad, she headed north to the Howett estate...either because she’s a Logan (which makes Vic and James cousins ha) or she knows Thomas Logan, or just because and it just so happened that the Howletts were looking for a maid. in any case, baby James running around with Clara and Saul as playmates as well as Rose, while Victor and Dog get put to work and bother each other (and John Jr might survive? see needed my timeline to see if Victoria could make it up there before he died or not...)

again, large Pack of teenage ferals roaming Alberta Canada in the early 1900s and not trying to murder each other (constantly) is bemusing

Here's the thing about being a Feral child soldier: Sometimes people don't get it. They all look at him and pity him. He sees it in their eyes, smells it, sweating like they're still teenagers, all waiting to see how the loner kid is gonna react.

Logan went to high school for a total of one week before the Weapon X scientists decided he was too wild to pretend and swapped him out for Victor

The thing is... he enjoyed it. Not all of it, obviously, thank fuck they got that collar off of him, and the tests he could do without. But... he misses the energy. He misses the violence. Hunting humans isn't that different from hunting a moose. They can both kill you, but at the end of the day, they're both easily trackable when they don't know their being hunted. And they always get tired first.

He's killed a lot of people.

He's felt their flesh give under his hands, tender stomaches give under the sharpness of his claws. He's felt their sticky brain matter and fluids on his fingertips as he's bashed their heads into walls. Moments, ragdolls, animals. That's all they feel like in the moment. Prey he caught and slaughtered, as all prey is.

He knows the feeling of human blood, viscera in his mouth, the iron tang familiar on his toungue as he and Victor clear out rooms, entire bases of foreign militaries. When time stops moving, no clock ticking beside the dripping of blood from the body stuck in the ceiling. No sound left beside him and his partners panting, as they wait for the rest of their team

He doesn't realize how strange it is to feel that way until he hears the doctors. And then his Boss. And then the X-men. They all point it out as something wrong. And sure, he knows he has things to make up for, but really, This is what they get hung up on?

It's like none of them have read his rap sheet.

(None of them have, exept Xavier. They wanted to give him time to tell them. He will not know this until it is too late.)

He only really regrets two people he's ever killed. Two children, belonging to an american politition.

(It's what started the brainwashing, what motivated them to isolate him. If he didn't remember, he wouldn't worry about it. He didn't need to doubt them. He didn't need to think. All he had to do was fight for them.)

But now, with his feelings and his mind unlocked now he can't help but feel sick when he thinks of them. Their little chubby faces, unblemished by time. Their thin, baby hair just growing out, the older ones quiet snores. They had slept together that night. It reminded him of his friends something.

So he gets it a little, the way they look him. The way Xaviers face goes gray whenever he tries to read Logans mind. Pity and shame and disgust.

He gets it more when he has to hold Kurt after his first kill.

He understands it most when he has to face Victor again, when Victor has been stripped of himself and, like him Before, all that is left is Sabretooth.

First Contact

December Drabbles Day 15 Sanders Sides: Roman, Logan, Virgil  Blurb: Things would be so much easier if only their human, Virgil, would talk to them.  Inspiration: While I already answered @letthefandomsbegin’s two sentence prompt of: Logan looked at Roman, eyes dark. "I need you to really think about what you're saying, because you're going to hurt Virgil even more if you do not." This other potential fic idea wouldn’t leave my head. Logan looked at Roman, eyes dark. "I need you to really think about what you're saying, because you're going to hurt Virgil even more if you do not."  

Roman bit back a retort, glancing down to where their little human crouched on the table, watching them with eyes that held a cautious intelligence that only became more apparent the longer Virgil was in their care. 

It wasn’t like he hadn’t thought this whole plan through, but the protectiveness of his mate over the boy was something unexpected.

Of course, how could Logan have not grown fond of their little foundling after nursing the poor human back to health after they had rescued him from his dismal living conditions? 

They had been through every setback, every scare with the small male in working to keep him alive. Even pulling all nighters researching the best methods to ensure that their human could return to full health and safely achieve his full metamorphosis from scrawny, boney, four limbed Human into his final form of a full grown Fae. 

Not that Virgil was full grown yet. Roman was still hoping that he would end up with a tail, but he had successfully formed his third pair of limbs, a beautiful pair of black and purple wings as soft as the hide of a baby Seleen, during their last cycle of Garvit’s Ring. 

Wings that their human needed to use in order for them to gain enough strength so that he could eventually fly.

Roman ran his fingers over his horns, sitting back in his chair with a sigh as he turned to his mate. “I’m just saying, a mindlink would make this easier.” 

Far easier than the pantomiming they’d been doing up until this point. He could sense how wary Virgil was of them. Feel the panic swirl of the boy's thoughts whenever Roman or Logan had to physically move one of his limbs to get him to understand what they wanted from him. 

“Or it could send him spiraling further than he already has.” Logan retorted, indigo waves flashing across his dark skin as his ears twitched, his attention too on Virgil. “You saw how he reacted to his wings! He doesn’t understand what is happening to him and if we introduce too much--”

“But talking isn’t the same as learning how to use a new set of limbs, Lo. He’s exercising his brain not his muscles!” He spun to his mate, tail twisting to wrap around Logan’s. “If we could just communicate our intentions clearly to him we could--”

“I know.” Lo exhaled, resting a hand on Roman’s shoulder. “We could show him we mean no harm, that we merely mean to aid him as he grows. But, Ro--” He grimaced, showing a brief flash of his fangs. “He’s quite timid compared to the reports of other Humans.” 

“Timid?” Roman snorted, touching a small lightning shaped scar on his wrist. Virgil had managed to draw blood from them more than once in the early days of their guardianship over him. He had been quite feral until he realized that he was safe--well safer here with them.

“You know what I mean.” Logan said, carefully placing a book down on the table, the pages flipped open to a hologram of a Waie fledgling flapping her wings. “He could have another relapse. I can’t--” 

He knew. He didn’t want another relapse either. The screams the human had let out when he first saw his new wings still haunted them both. 

At the time Logan had had to physically restrain Virgil to keep him from destroying his new limbs with his own hands and had received quite the series of bites to his fingers in the process.

But those actions, that lack of communication between them had cost them dearly. 

Virgil had reverted to being just as feral as when they’d first rescued him after that. Refusing to trust them with anything. They’d had to start back at square one and it was frustrating. So frustrating to see all their progress lost in the matter of minutes. 

“He didn’t relapse five days ago though.” Roman said, tail flicking to wrap around Logan’s.

Five days ago when their human’s eyes had finally shifted from their baby brown coloration into the more adult shade of a shimmering galaxical violet.

Five days ago, when Roman had successfully formed a telepathic link with their human and clearly communicated to Virgil and had him understand that Roman was only trying to help him and not hurt him further.

Understand and be…leery of it. Okay. Frightened by it. Roman could still feel the slight headache behind his eyes from how forcefully Virgil had slammed the ‘figurative door,’ as Logan would say, on their mindlink. 

But he hadn’t relapsed. No, if anything, Virgil was looking at them more frequently now, brilliant eyes wary, but no longer scared. 

Though….He glanced down to see their human had moved to his feet, wings trembling where they were folded tightly against his back as he glanced to the holographic image of flight before deliberately turning his back on it. 

Roman pressed his lips together, running his fingers over his horns. Honestly, they couldn’t make it any clearer than that that they wanted him to learn how to fly. Was he purposely not understanding? Purposely refusing? A mind link would do wonders in clarifying the human’s thought process.

Cautiously he sent out a tendril of reassurance to him and was rewarded as the human jerked, wings half spreading before he snapped them shut. 

Huh. Virgil was getting better control of that at least. His wings remained folded most of the time now instead of hanging limply from his back dragging across the floor like an oddly shaped cape whenever the human tried to walk anywhere.

Of course, from the swirling tumult of his thoughts, Roman could gather that Virgil was trying to not think about his new limbs. An ‘if I can’t see it then it’s not there’ philosophy that was...well silly. He doubted the human could just forget the new weights on his back, not when they were a part of him now.

No, it would be better if Virgil would just accept this change and move his wings more. Spread them out at least if he didn’t want to flap them yet. Stretch. He could only imagine how cramped the wings had to feel being constantly folded like that.

Roman raised an eyebrow, smirking as the human turned, purple eyes taking on a soft glow as he glared up at him. “He seems fine to me.” 

Couldn’t Logan see that the shifting in Virgil’s eye color and therefore, the maturing of his brain to accept a telepathic link could only be a good thing for them?

It meant he and Roman could now communicate their intentions directly to the human--if he would let him--rather than having to rely on pantomime and sifting through Virgil’s tumultuous color and pattern filled mind to interpret whether or not their intentions were understood.

Granted, he knew humans didn’t normally use their minds to talk, but if theorists were right, whether he wanted to or not, it would only be a matter of time before Virgil’s brain matured enough to automatically instigate telepathic links with those around him.

His mate huffed as he too watched their human, before sending out his own tentative wave of thought to the human to see his reaction. “Well yes, but we haven’t yet seen the full ramifications of that yet.” 

Roman fought back the urge to roll his eyes. “Because you’re not letting us do more than brush the edges of his mind!” 

He could get not wanting to overload their human with even more changes. Agreed with it actually. It was better to not force Virgil to run before he was ready to walk when it came to telepathic links...but the anticipation of what they could have was killing him.

Logan exhaled, scooting his chair closer to Roman’s so he could lean against him. “Patience, Ro. While I agree a mind link would be easier, we have to take into consideration how Virgil will react. How he’ll feel to have such a method of communication presented to him. We can’t just force him before he’s ready.” 

He knew. He didn’t have to like it though. 

But surely, Virgil had to realize that those brief seconds of clear communication was a good thing. 

If their human would only--but no, he knew their human wasn’t fond of change, his near hysterical reaction when he’d seen his newly formed wings for the first time proved that. But it didn’t stop him from hoping that Virgil would accept his new telepathic ability far quicker than he was accepting his wings. If only--

He sent out another light tap to the human’s mind. Like a knock on the door. Asking to be let in. 

“Just think of the possibilities, my love. How he could answer all our questions. How we wouldn’t have to guess at what he needs. He could just tell us.” Roman whispered, a small smirk flicking on his lips as he felt his mate’s own careful knock on the human’s mind.  “We can’t know how he’ll react to a mindlink if we don’t give him a little stronger push--” 

Tap. Tap. Tap. 

Roman cut off, breath catching in his throat as he felt a responding knock brush against his thoughts. Could it be?

Logan twitched, sitting up, his tail flicking into a question mark as another swirl of blue danced across his skin, his dark eyes lighting up. “Ro?” 

He held up a hand to silence his mate, crouching down in front of the table to make eye contact with the human. 

Virgil didn’t flinch away this time, small hands clenching into fists as his purple eyes took on a brighter glow at the same moment Roman felt another tap tap tap at the edges of his mind. 

Logan inhaled sharply, leaning forward. “He’s!” 

“SHH!!” He hissed, well aware of how both their heart rates had skyrocketed. Their human was reaching out! He was attempting to communicate! He! 

Roman drew in a shaky breath as he tilted his head, carefully sending out a tendril of thought towards the presence he could sense hovering just outside his mind and waited. 

Waited for something to happen. 

This could be their only chance at having their human reach out. Their only chance to finally establish-- 

Almost like the roll of thunder in the sky, another’s presence warily entered his mind forming a tentative connection. Then like the sound of waves breaking against the distance shore. He heard him.

In a regular X-Men Evolution AU, imagine Sabretooth adopting one random teen out of the blue. Why was he interested in this random teen? Maybe they were an experiment, or were taken by scientists. Either way, the Acolytes and Brotherhood and X-Men want them, and if he can possibly annoy his boss and steal a kid from his brother and possibly lure him to him, then sure, let him try his hand at parenting.

And he ends up with some feral-*ss kid, who keeps curling up in the corner like a scared kitten, yet they have sharp claws and teeth. Reader could be smaller than Logan or almost as big as Victor, but they're a feisty, ferocious little creature. And Sabretooth? He thinks he's in (platonic) love for the second time in his life (the first time was with Logan, his baby brother). Finally! A kid who has every drop of ferocity and danger that he and Wolverine have! A worthy heir, and someone to take care of and love on...

Reader keeps trying to run from this absolute behemoth of a guy who possibly saved them? Only to kidnap them and take them with him. And he won't leave them alone. He keeps trying to fight them, keeps chasing them through the woods, and whenever Reader sneaks away, he hunts them down and drags them back, drugging them if they don't calm down enough.

And he doesn't give up on them. He keeps trying to tame them to accept him, but he keeps doing things that are just weird for someone who wants to use them. He IS using them, right? Or plans to? Whenever they fight, he'll drop after a good bit, then lets Reader have a minute ... Then he's back up again, edging them to fight once more... He keeps bringing food, even urges them to hunt, and keeps the bones from any creature they successfully kill. He even shares his own food... Then he keeps trying to get them to sleep. The moment they've gone forty-eight hours without sleep is the moment he's forcing medicine in their mouth or injecting them, and no matter what it is, it leaves Reader in a tired, sleepy heap, until they eventually are pulled into a deep slumber...

Reader isn't sure how much of this they can resist. This guy is weird, scary, and knows way too much about how to kill people... But he keeps being nice? In his own strange, creepy way. So now Reader hopes they can hold out a bit longer, until they can either run far enough, or find someone who can get them out...

(Reader likely has a surprised reaction to soft beds and comfortable rooms and good, warm food. Sabretooth keeps trying to feed then a bit of everything if he cooks, to feed this starved kid and to see their cute reaction to tasty, good food... It also gives him a chance to drug them, if need be. Can't have his kid running off after dinner, they'll get too cold and he doesn't want a repeat of when they first ran off into the snow...)
