Quaint Fences Default Replacement
This replacement gives new prettier textures to colored quaint fences with and without flowers and their matching gates. The gates look darker on the preview because of the lighting, normally they are almost the same as fences.
Wood texture is by @goatskickin (the lovely Christmas woods available here).
Compressed, clearly labelled, picture included.

I really hate this panel because it shows that Aizen and Gin had already pinpointed Hinamori and Kira as the most vulnerable in that situation, and Aizen ‘picking’ Hinamori in particular.
And then I remember in the immediately preceding scene, it was Kira who screamed about not wanting to die, and Gin, in a way, answering it by killing that hollow, showing in a subtle way, how that strong loyalty could have been cemented from the very beginning.
And I keep forgetting that Renji was also in the fifth squad so his protecting Rukia from Aizen was also him standing up to his (former) Captain. Aizen must have undermined him for his brashness from the very beginning, but really that bullheadedness meant that he couldn’t be so easily manipulated so he was shunted off (but seriously that must have messed up his self-confidence). In other words, Aizen really gaslit all of them.

Your average swedish garden soil: so bad not even the most stubborn swedish 18th century farmer would attempt to grow crops there
So i was reading up on gardening outdoors in sweden, and found an amusing popular science article that explained that the absolute majority of swedish homes are built on the land that literal swedish 18th century farmers deemed impossible to grow crops on.
(This is no considence, sweden has very little land that can grow crops. Therefore it has been avoided at all cost to place houses on land that could grow crops. Even farmers would do this when they placed their homes.)
Anyway, the article therefore dryly points out that trying to grow some carrots in your average swedish villa garden, can therefore be almost impossible if one just plant them in the existing soil.
It had this little helpful diagram in how to transplant better soil, and then make that soil be able to support crops for many years to come
(This was a diagram over year one. The potatoes are there as a part of making the soil be able to next year support other crops. But one can also eat the potatoes, as the article writer points out haha)
Link to article
#the saga of helga and nature#trying to grow some carrots in a swedish garden be like#ok the soil that exist here#i am gonna replace you#and then create entire fences around you underground#so you never interact with my transplanted soil#the article writer liked ecological growing#so the point of not just doing this indoors in pots#is that like this with time worms and such will move in#i suspect

You know what? I just have to believe it will be good and I will be able to make it good. I can make it good. I can make the most out of it. I have so much to be grateful for and I will be happy
#i cannot find it for some reason but pretend this is a reblog on that post that's like#I bounce between“I can survive living at home again” and “I never want to live at home again” at top speeds#<- really badly paraphrased my own post#i forgor#anyway#I was just in the garden and sure it's a MESS but I was looking at it and thinking like hey you know I could actually fix that#lots of the mess I could pick up and dispose of myself and then I will hire someone to sort the lawn part it can't be THAT much#plus I will be working and not paying rent + utilities so I hope/think I will have a lottttt of disposable income#(the way less than £1K a month is a lot of disposable income to me GOSH. anyway)#my mum doesn't want to spend any money on the house because she wants to be moved but she's been trying YEARS and it hasn't happened#meanwhile she lives in a house that's a state and she hates it#and I'm not doing that for 2 years a garden is a privilege and I want to use it#depending on how much it is I might get the lawn replaced since neither me or my mum will be able to keep on top of cutting it#(hence why there are brambles taller than the fence out there)#I'm not sure with what though don't love the idea of patio but ugh it's low maintenance innit#and if I cam fix the garden I can fix the rest of the house#I get nowhere imagining the worst so I may as well imagine the best#nattering

chicken wire isn't predator proof bc it's very easy for raccoons to stick their hands in and grab a bird but it has also stopped my neighbors gsd who went running at it
It bends easy but it doesn't break easy
#the tree rhat fell landed on part of my chicken wire fence#only had to replace the metal poles#actually part of the fence bounced right back up after the tree was removed#bc a plastic electric fence post happened to be attached to it#chicken wire can survive a 70ft sycamore falling on it

Partially fell through my deck today
Dogs were crated inside for breakfast thankfully. I’m scraped and bruised up all along my right leg and arm. Hole has been temporarily covered so dogs don’t step into it.
Anyone know how to replace part of a board with no power tools? I’ve got some spare wood, nails, and a hammer, but very little else lmao
#honestly I need to figure out how to speed up my ‘replace the deck and old fence’ plans#the problem is I’m poor af#can’t mentally or emotionally handle a second job#love life love living alone love that working a full time job that pays 3x the minimum wage still isn’t enough to live comfortably#🙃🙃🙃🙃 I hate this place#I’m fine it’s just been A Morning™️

Are you looking to transform your basement into a functional and inviting space? Look no further than Cedar Hills Contracting, a trusted name in basement renovation in Bolton. With over a decade of experience, Cedar Hills Contracting has the expertise and knowledge to turn your basement dreams into reality. In this blog post, we will share expert tips and insights to help you plan and execute a successful basement renovation project. From initial planning to adding the finishing touches, we've got you covered. Let's dive in!
Planning Your Basement Renovation
Before diving into your basement renovation project, it's essential to take some initial steps to ensure a smooth and successful process. First and foremost, set a budget for your renovation project. This will help you prioritize your expenses and make informed decisions along the way. Additionally, determine the purpose of your renovated basement. Will it be a home office, a playroom for the kids, or a cozy entertainment space? Defining the purpose will guide the design and layout decisions.
Obtaining necessary permits is another crucial step in the planning process. Depending on the scope of your renovation, you may need permits for electrical work, plumbing, or structural changes. Hiring professionals for complex tasks is highly recommended to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Cedar Hills Contracting can assist you with the permit process and provide expert guidance throughout the renovation.
Designing the Layout
Designing an efficient and visually appealing basement layout is key to maximizing the space's potential. Consider the natural light sources in your basement and plan the layout accordingly. If natural light is limited, explore options like light wells or larger windows to bring in more daylight. Adequate electrical outlets and plumbing considerations are also essential. Plan the placement of outlets strategically to accommodate your electrical needs, and consider the location of plumbing fixtures if you're adding a bathroom or wet bar.
Open-concept designs are popular choices for basement renovations as they create a sense of spaciousness and flexibility. By eliminating unnecessary walls, you can create multifunctional spaces that can adapt to your changing needs. For example, a combined living area and home office can serve as a comfortable workspace during the day and transform into a cozy entertainment space in the evening.
Waterproofing and Insulation
Proper waterproofing and insulation are crucial aspects of basement renovations. Basements are prone to moisture issues, so it's essential to address them before starting any renovation work. There are various methods of waterproofing, including exterior and interior waterproofing systems. Exterior waterproofing involves applying a waterproof membrane to the outside of the foundation walls, while interior waterproofing involves installing drainage systems and sealants on the inside.
Insulation is equally important for energy efficiency and moisture control in your basement. Choose insulation materials that are suitable for basements, such as rigid foam insulation or spray foam insulation. These materials provide excellent thermal resistance and help prevent moisture buildup, keeping your basement comfortable and dry.
Flooring Options
Choosing the right flooring for your basement renovation is crucial, as basements are prone to moisture and temperature fluctuations. Several flooring options are suitable for basements in Bolton. Vinyl flooring is a popular choice due to its durability, moisture resistance, and affordability. It comes in a wide range of styles and designs, mimicking the look of hardwood or tile.
Laminate flooring is another excellent option for basements. It is durable, easy to install, and resistant to moisture. Carpet is a cozy and comfortable choice, but it may not be suitable for areas prone to moisture. Consider using carpet tiles instead of wall-to-wall carpeting for easier maintenance and replacement.
If you prefer the look of hardwood, engineered hardwood flooring is a great choice for basements. It is more resistant to moisture than solid hardwood and can withstand the temperature fluctuations common in basements.
Lighting and Electrical Considerations
Well-planned lighting and electrical systems are essential for creating a functional and inviting basement space. Consider the different types of lighting fixtures, such as recessed lights, pendant lights, and track lighting, to achieve the desired ambiance. Plan the placement of these fixtures strategically to ensure even lighting throughout the space.
Proper electrical wiring and outlets are also crucial. Determine your electrical needs, such as additional outlets for entertainment systems or home office equipment, and work with a professional electrician to ensure proper installation. It's essential to have a well-designed electrical system that can accommodate your current and future needs.
Creating a Comfortable Environment
To create a comfortable living space in your basement, it's important to consider ventilation and heating/cooling systems. Proper ventilation helps prevent musty odors and mold growth in your basement. Consider installing a ventilation system or incorporating windows that can be opened to allow fresh air circulation.
Choosing the right HVAC system for your basement is also crucial. Consult with a professional to determine the appropriate size and type of system for your space. Additionally, consider incorporating soundproofing techniques to minimize noise transfer between floors and create a peaceful environment.
Adding Finishing Touches
Once the major aspects of your basement renovation are complete, it's time to add the finishing touches that will enhance the overall aesthetics of the space. Choose paint colors that complement the rest of your home and create a cohesive look. Consider using lighter colors to make the space feel more open and inviting.
Furniture and decor play a significant role in transforming your basement into a functional and stylish space. Opt for furniture that is both comfortable and practical, considering the purpose of the room. Incorporate storage solutions to maximize space utilization and keep your basement organized.
Conclusion
Transforming your basement into a functional and inviting space is an exciting project that requires careful planning and execution. With the expert tips and insights provided by Cedar Hills Contracting, you can confidently embark on your basement renovation Bolton journey. not me importing my anti-air defense worldbuilding h/cs into ishgard bc I can
#saint.txt#long post#ishgardposting#tl;dr in my personal project one of the big things is that (one) military has had to evolve alongside gryphon riders for a long long time#who's biggest threat are information gathering and the fact they drop flechettes and are nigh-untouchable by anything even each other#even with firearms (which are still very early tech-wise) so anti-air defense is paramount#the biggest results being that *everything* has a roof on it to mitigate stuff falling from the sky.#cities are cramped and avoid open space as much as possible. anti-bird spikes but scaled up on steep roofs so that birds can't land.#buildings are made of non-flammable material like stone when possible. open areas exist mostly as corral zones so that tired birds#must land there and can be easily surrounded on the ground.#but the flashiest is killwire which is basically just wire strung between tall buildings that discourages flight below a certain level#and is difficult to see especially at speed or at night#and if you hit it. well. the idea is based off motorcycle accidents where people have hit wire fences on farms so I'm sure you get the idea#not all of it will apply to Ish.gard but I highly believe that's exactly why Ish.gard is 98% built out of stone#as are all their forts and important structures like bridges. I also believe realistically most streets should be roofed if possible#and open space is kept at a minimum even if daniffen's ward exists. anti-dragon spikes consisting of slots to put lances in on roofs.#Ish.gard might not even have much of a need for 'traditional' forts with huge walls and such bc 90% of their enemies fly so their fort#designs might get a little wild after 1000 years of war. w/ magitek via stephva.nivien you might even electrify the killwire.#ofc some of it already seems to exist - ish.gard's roofs and spires are built *very* steep which would make a dravanian landing on them#difficult and even without that most of them are covered in spires and spikes anyway but. ofc there's the dragonkillers and such too but#ish.gard is a city built on 1000 years of war and hyperspecialized to fighting dragons that fly we really could make it look like that too.#I want to walk into ishgard and immediately know this is a place built on war bc everything about it is hyperspecialized and utilitarian#to fulfill that purpose. look up in ishgard and the stars are replaced with glittering wire.
