#feels like a bad fanfiction 😂

Y'all, I think I've figured it out. Operating on the assumption that the finale is indeed an alternate timeline from the manga, then someone could have written on a page of the Book to rewrite reality to lead to the events of the finale sometime during season 5's events. In other words, this would explain the INCONSISTENCIES with things that were established or at least heavily implied/assumed prior and in the manga: Chuuya being a real vampire and not in control, nothing being planned, Dazai giving sincere speeches, Dazai really being shot and saying his "last words", Fyodor's hand not being injured, soukoku not killing Fyodor while in Meursault because they literally couldn't and Dazai needing Sigma to discover Fyodor's secrets because of that, Fukuchi's goal not being one that relied on Fukuzawa being alive since he clearly intended to kill him, etc etc too many more to count

Events and explanations in the finale feeling so contradictory and out of place, and characters feeling so ooc and not acknowledging any discrepancies, makes perfect sense if you consider that, up until a certain point, this was our canon timeline — until someone rewrote the ending of the arc with the Book, starting with Fyodor injuring his hand...! We only have one example of the Book being used to majorly rewrite reality in the manga, and when that happened, the main players — the ADA members — were aware that reality was changed, even though they did have memories of the new rewritten reality. BUT, Nikolai was unaware of this during that scene, and so also were all law enforcement because of the clause written on the page accounting for that, so what if the same thing could happen in this instance, to prevent all our characters in the finale from being aware that things had changed? We literally saw someone writing Nikolai's dialogue for him; imagine someone doing that during Dazai's final speech in the episode, and during all the rest of it! I don't know who this would be, but possibly a mysterious third party who got a hold of a different page from the Book somewhere and wrote things to turn out this way, because they wanted the ADA to win against Fukuchi and Fyodor? Maybe even because... this is the only way they can win?

Remember Atsushi asserting this plan, and how silly and too simple it sounded? What if someone else ended up doing just that, writing their own simple outcome for the ADA to win (as a narrative of course, which is probably why it had to start with the major catalyst of, again, Fyodor injuring his hand)? Additionally, if that's what happened, maybe the ending of the finale is a sort of side effect to the Book being used improperly in this way, leading to a destabilization of the timeline or a mishmash of other timelines into the anime one, leading to the alternate Fukuchi and Akutagawa we see there?

the way the people who hate what the writers have done to alicent are being called butthurt by other fans is so funny. let's not even talk about what they've done to rhaenyra, i mean the whole point of the show has been trashed this way.

this "feminist" show has repetedly tried to make its female characters the most simpathetic they could, at the cost of butchering these characters and trash their motives, because a complex angry woman CANNOT be liked. oh and while alicent gets an "humbling" arc, blood-thirsty abusive men are getting a REDEMPTION arc! and are never expected to apologize for their crimes (like beheading a child, killing innocents, gr00ming), while alicent has to be humiliated for...being bitter and resentful??

with rhaenyra they're taking the dragon jesus lane, so i guess she might get brutal?? but who knows, they've made her so sensible all season because god forbid she actually wants war😝. women are peaceful! women cannot do war! alicent is no good for regent 'cause WOMAN 'cause EMOTIONAL. rhaenyra is always undermined at the council 'cause WOMAN 'cause REASONABLE.

and rhaenicent has literally been butchered as well, since the very start of the season! i myself enjoyed rhaenicent prior to season 2, but it just sucks now. they've made alicent a little lost puppy that seeks rhaenyra's approval. last season rhaenicent for them was a memory of better times, when alicent was naive and free of the feeling of fear and remorse that haunts her, and rhaenyra was free of responsabilities and consequences, of the weight of the crown that she will one day wear: it was a pure relationship where they could just be happy with eachother, when none of their lives had been ruined. thinking about it made them nostalgic in s1's later episodes.

now rhaenyra is as stiff as a board with alicent and talks to her coldly, while alicent is mostly listening to her with puppy eyes?? this is what you like???

i am mainly an alicole (and seen the spoilers it looks like it has been butchered too so... bye bye to them too i guess) but even if criston and alicent didn't happen it wouldn't have changed much for me. i have always been interested in ALICENT THE CHARACTER first of all, not her relationship with her children or criston or rhaenyra. what pissed me off about the finale is not what she did to her children, but the fact that it was A STUPID DECISION. THE WRITING AND THE WRITING CHOICES SUCK. THEY SUCK ADMIT IT STOP DEFENDING EVERYTHING THEY CHOOSE TO DO. and it was probably made to be a stupid decision just to make alicent look even more stupid so😂whatever. i'm saying this because a lot of people on twitter are now saying "now they see you alicels as you are, you only care about her because of her relationship with her children :D" MY BROTHER IN CHRIST I DON'T I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THEM. plus these are the same people that threw tantrums and unstanned her when the alicole scenes leaked 🙃. notes: there isn't much of a plot with this one but its a wonderful showcase of the bond that team 7 shares/could share. it floats beside canon not really connected but it could be, and i think its just a great introduction to the way team 7 should be imo!!

Sakura is not an idiot. She was praised for her intelligence, reached Top Kunoichi at the Academy for her brains.  So it doesn't take her long after being placed on the powder keg that is Team Seven to realize she is going to die.  Kakashi, career shinobi since age-six, has no idea what the hell is going on with his little pink-haired student or why there is such fear in her eyes. So he gives her head-pats. That's what you do for scared puppies isn't it?

notes: some really good characterization with this one and a deeper look at the subtle hint of corruption/injustice in the shinobi world that canon already gives us.

notes: an adorable small fic consisting of freindship and the idea of found family, they're just cute little kids in this and it makes me smile so hard.

notes: its not every day i find a sasusaku fic that i genuinly enjoy, but this one both cracked me up and actually convinced me that they could work as a couple lmao, after some bad canon events, this fic shows a completely done sakura dealing with the fallout and it is gold. featuring naruto and kakashi as unwilling bystanders.

notes: a wonderful look at the kunoichis in naruto, with friendship for once more important than love. gives them the character development and attention they deserve, but didn't quite fully get in canon.

notes: now we're taking the focus off the main characters of naruto to focus on some great side characters-- ino and sai are both charecterized awesomely in this fic. they're awkward and don't really know how to function in society (being a ninja will do that to you) but they clearly grow to care and love for eachother dearly.

notes: thanks to this fic i fell in love with temari as a character. it is a character study at its heart and therefore it has SUPERB characterization, with believable romance and a theme of self-love. i adore this fic.

It had been two weeks since the trial. He had chosen the later. And Sakura isn't avoiding him on purpose, but it's still happening and she's kind of okay with it.

notes: a not so romantic retelling of sasuke coming back to konoha. i really enjoy the way sakura is characterized in this and the way all her friendships are potrayed (especially her and sai they are besties). instead of running into sasukes open arms, she decides she doesn't mind keeping to herself.

Rules Were Made to Be Broken by MotivationIsDead [T] [COMPLETED]

Kakashi wasn’t entirely sure he wasn’t hallucinating. Or suffering from heart failure. “I thought you were dead,” he said blankly. He might’ve been going into shock. Obito winced and rubbed the back of his head with a sheepish grin. “Yeah,” he said, tone stilted. “There’s actually quite the story behind that.” “I should hope so,” was Kakashi’s bland response.

notes: kakashi and obito if obito decided to not go through with his villainous plan. it is a ship, but the way the bond is potrayed just hits so good. something more than friendship and simple love and instead a deep trust, with banger characterization and development. a couple steps away from crack, i laughed so goddamn hard.

notes: ino and sakura are made for eachother in this fic and the progression of their relationship is adorable. some bonus friendship with shikamarau and choji.

notes: one of my all time favourite fics it is full of character and life, and the friendship between sakura and naruto is so pure yet all-consuming. they are eachothers persons, eachothers sun, and the world that is being crafted is so engaging. featuring kakashi with teenage angst.

A/N : Hello dear 😁 this his my very first fanfiction. I’ve already written stories but always original stories with originals characters so please be indulgent. Also, English is not my mother tongue so feel free to correct my grammar or my misspelling, I swear I won’t hold grudges as I wish to improve my skills language (but please still be kind, I have a soft little heart 😂).

It was a stormy night. The thunder reasoned all around the house, you could see the flashlight hitting the floor across the window.

You hated that kind of weather. That reminded you of the war. And also of your childhood when you were afraid and no one was there to comfort you. Your mother told you to not be a coward and go to sleep. Your father just didn't care. Eventually, you grew up by shutting yourself up, by bottling up your feelings, by thinking you were unworthy and your sensitiveness a shortage you have to conceal.

After your years at Beauxbatons, you fled away to a not-so-secret school in Denmark to learn to master your potion skills but above all to learn the art of dark magic. The Art of Demonic Cultivation wasn't forbidden there and you find a master in Elijah, a powerful wizard and a Master of the Demonic Cultivation. He saw through your soul that you were a fragile little thing with a lot of insecurities. You were leaving with the need to make your parents and your teacher proud, to be loved by everybody because since you were a child, everybody let you believe that you could only be valid if you were enough. Except you were never enough. Never enough smart, never having enough good grades, never enough pretty, never enough…

And so, the wizard took you under his wing but as a matter of course, it wasn't disinterested. He quickly realized you were a skillful legilimens. This compensated for your mediocrity in occlumency. Anyway, whoever would have tried to read your mind would have lost himself in a maze of uninterrupted thinking. Your brain never took a break, making it difficult for even the more experienced occlumens to read your open mind. On the other hand, you have no trouble reading the mind of anybody just by one glance. You didn't even need your wand for that.

This is how you met him the first time. If Elijah wanted to mold you to meet his expectations, it's finally another wizard who took advantage of your talents.

Dumbledore. He came during a stormy night like this one in the lugubrious castle that was serving as a school in the middle of nowhere in the Scandinavian country that you learned to like. He needed a favor. It was not a request. Elijah and his relatives owed him this favor. And without a blink, he gets rid of you for the profit of another wizard.

You can't really remember if you were hurt in the first place. In fact, you were used to never gain the favor of anybody. Although Dumbledore was kind to you, you didn't buy his kindness. You knew he wanted something from you. You were fine with that. After all, you had nowhere to go except for your parents' house. In reality, they weren't bad people. They were muggles, both of them and if they were absolutely fascinated by your magic, they never understood you and who you really were. Anyhow, you weren't enough.

You will never forget the first time Dumbledore introduced you to him. Severus. It was a Thursday. You had occupied yourself in the library, helping Mrs Pince around even if you had the feeling that you were annoying her more than anything but you couldn’t help. You were aimless and you couldn’t bear another day of wandering around, enduring the not discreet glances of the students even less the ones who stared at you unabashedly.

Dumbledore had arrived, followed by a tall, dark and absolutely grumpy man all dressed in black. By definition, he wasn’t really handsome. Pale, a sallow complexion and crouched teeth. Not that yours were perfect, the teeth of your lower jaw were crouched too. Yes, he wasn’t an Apollo and yet, you were instantly captivated by him. He wasn’t handsome, nevertheless he was alluring. In one stare, you were bewitched. Fortunately, all these years of keeping you shut from the world around you permitted you to stay totally stoic, while he seemed totally unfazed by you. By everything. Probably he was able to conceal his feelings as easily as you, you thought.

You knew you were right when Dumbledore explained to you that he wanted Severus to read your mind. Of course, he did it easily but he wasn’t able to see one of your memories in his entirety. Only some scraps here and there, nothing enough to really comprehend who you were. He couldn’t even say if you were happy or depressed, if you have had a happy childhood, who were your friends or if you had some. For the first time, Severus was destabilised by another human being.

“I would like you to try,” asked you Dumbledore.

You wanted to pass on this game but you knew you were there for a purpose even if you didn’t know which one. At this time, you were totally oblivious of the war coming. Harry Potter was still a young child and if you had heard about Voldemort, it was just a souvenir now.

But no matter your reluctance, you obliged the Headmaster but not before asking Severus if he agreed to you intruding his mind.

Taken off guard, he nodded once and just due to that brief gesture, by that short moment where his eyes flickered at your questions, you had understood how much the both were more similar than once could think.

You met his eyes and in one moment, as easily as it was for one to lace up its shoes, you were in his mind. He tried very hard to repel your invasion and for the first time, you found it challenging but you were able to push back his walls. You had to admit that he was the best occlumens you had ever met, but despite his talent, and even if it wasn’t without difficulties, you finally passed over his fences.

Out of kindness and also because you hated intruding on the only privacy a human could have, you didn’t really try to catch any of his memories. You just proved that you were able to read his mind.

It never occurred to you that Severus would have been impressed by your bestowal but he was. It was the first time someone defeated him in one of his most impressive talents. He was also grateful that you didn’t intrude him as far as watching his souvenirs. He was afraid of you snicking around his worst moments but you didn’t. You just had seen his house, his almost empty and filthy room when he was just a kid, a werewolf, Lucius Malfoy and a Lily. Not enough to grasp who he was. Nothing really compromising.

And this is how your friendship began. Dumbledore didn’t expect that. Not that you were arm in arm and all smiling but during his free time, Severus could be indulging himself with your company. You weren’t one to talk about the sun and the rain. You could stay silent for hours, watching him brew some potions or experiment a spell of his own. Because you had learnt a lot about the Demonic Culture and the Dark Art, you were capable of helping him to improve a spell or even a brew. And this is how your agreeable kindness and your desire to be, if not loved at least appreciated, enforce itself. And Severus, who for the first time had someone he considered as his equal was content to have what was the closer to him of a friend.

The more time passes, the more you confided to him. Your insecurities, how people have always taken advantage of you before throwing you away like Elijah and how you weren’t duped by the intentions of Dumbledore towards you. Snape softened more and more, igniting in him a feeling he had not feel for a very long time. But he couldn’t think of you like that because contrary to you, he knew what was to happen.

He kept his resolve to not show you anything more than a little kindness to not give you any hope until one Halloween night. He was drunk and he was crying. You caught him in the forbidden section of the library, tears shredding freely on his cheeks. At first, you didn’t know what to do. You never ever witnessed anything else than stoicism and temperance from the man who was now on his knees, not really himself.

You helped him up and brought him back to his quarter. As you were about to leave, he grabs your hand.

“Stay,” he whispered.

You agreed without even thinking and you let him cry on your shoulder without exchanging a word, prying that he would not shut you out the next morning or worse, put an end to that kind of friendship of yours just because he had let you see him in his most vulnerable state.

Your fears were wiped out the next morning. He was ashamed of course, but eventually, he told you everything. You didn’t ask, never you would have done that, but despite your attempt to stay discreet about last night, he felt as if he owed you an explanation. After all, you told him everything about anything each time the two of you felt talkative. He knew so much about you and conversely, you knew so little of him. And then, you passed the night watching over him. So he told you about the marauders, about Lily, the “mudblood” incident and the mark on his arm. He told you not too much about his sad childhood but enough to you understand why he once felt the need to join a powerful congregation or at least it was what he thought back at this time. He told you about the death of Lily as well as why you were there. He didn’t hide anything about the price he was paying to have wanted to save the only woman he ever loved.

“At least before…” he interrupted himself just in time.

But of course, you had to hear it.

“Before what ?” you asked in a whisper.

Severus stated intensively at you and you find yourself sinking into his onyx sight.

“Before you.” he blurted out not louder than was your question.

It was at this precise moment that you realised that you felt something stronger than a simple friendship for him. You were totally and irremediably in love with Severus. However, because of your lack of confidence and because you weren’t enough, you weren't really sure that it was what he was meaning.

“[Y/N] ?” he asked precautionary as if afraid to make you flee away as the shy and fragile little dove that you were.

In one stride he was in front of you. Putting his hand on your cheek, he forced you to look at him.

“I am not an easy man. And I don’t know how to love someone. I will hurt you, it’s a certainty.”

“I am not really gifted in the matters of the heart.”

“We could figure it out together,” he suggested with and hopeful look.

You agreed by nodding, eyes closed as your anxiety and the little voice that accompanied it invaded your whole being.

“[Y/N], I needn’t use the legilimency to know what is in your mind right now.

You opened your watery eyes, fearful to see the rejection but Severus wasn’t keen to the deceit. Not with you. Never.

“I never thought I was worth being loved.,” you said while holding back your tears.

“You are. You complete me. And to me, you are more than enough. You are everything.”

You fell into his embrace and for the first time, you felt that you were enough.

I have been binge-reading your tumblr all day, and AHHHH, dude I love the StCMO AU so much holy shit. I cannot get enough of it. I actually read a Rick and Morty fic somewhat similar to this? It only focuses on one perspective, though. High key recommend:

Also love love loveee your fics! I actually first subscribed to your AO3 back when you were first writing Supernatural fanfiction, and then I found you again when I got into Gravity Falls ❤️. The Supernatural to Gravity Falls pipeline is SO REAL and there are so many similarities between Dean vs Stan and Sam vs Ford that it haunts me. I have so many fic ideas just based on episodes of Supernatural 😂. HIWTHI is actually lightly inspired by s2e20.

Sorry, I'm ranting. I had a few questions related to StCMO:

1. What would StCMO!Ford do about a Stan and Ford stuck in a death time loop together? Somewhat similarly to Deja Vu by interlude (though it doesn't have to be), but if it wasn't resolved? I gotta know how he feels about the crossbow death 😭

2. WWS!FD if Bill is constantly going after Stan through Rico and the cartel and whoever else because Ford wanted to make amends with his brother before the portal was finished? Bill doesn't want the distraction, and all of Stan's enemies are easily manipulated into deals to kill Stan off? (an AU of mine i've been toying with)

3. Does he ever feel a little bit detached after going through so many dimensions of Stans and Fords? I feel like it would be easy to become desensitized to it and forget the original perspective he started with.

Death Loop

Admittedly, Ford 419"3 would have some trouble getting into the time loop, but he'd find a way if it meant safely breaking it. The hardest part for Ford 419"3 would be seeing Stan die and having to wait for the loop to reset. Lots of bad memories being dredged up. Because not only is he traumatized by his time in Bill's clutches, but the missions that go wrong had also left lingering mental wounds. Ford would have to figure out how to keep Stan and his brother alive long enough for Ford to actually break the time loop, so he'd have his hands full to say the least.

Bill is a Bitch

Ford would be having none of that shit. He'd probably enlist Lee to act as a bodyguard and have Lee deliver Stan to his brother safely while Ford handled the threats at the source (ie: wiping out all the gangs that have a vendetta against Stan). After he finished his task or removing the vast majority of threats against Stan to make it harder for Bill to find a puppet, Ford 419"3 would meet Lee and Stan at his counterpart's shack, showing his counterpart the evidence that he and Lee had collected to prove that Bill was behind the attempts on Stan's life.

Same Shit, Different Day

Ford doesn't become desensitized, per say, but seeing so much bad shit does leave it's mark on him. Instead of becoming numb to it, he had become obsessed with the safety of his loved ones. He's mentally unwell in the sense that he's constantly on alert, no longer able to truly let his guard down. Even with Lee and the niblings, unfortunately. He's more like a feral animal than a man, viciously protecting those that he considers his until death. He has insomnia due to his anxiety and paranoia, only sleeping when his body literally shuts down on him. Lee and Fiddleford are working on coaxing him to sleep a little here and there before that happens, but it's slow-going.

Curious though...how do they transition when their relationship becomes public? Are there any issues with fan backlash? Or being an openly gay actor? What about the increased paparazzi attention or stalkerish fans? :O

Hello lovely person!! As usual this got a bit long but I hope it answers the question a bit at least 😂💘

To start off with, I usually reimagine my fics in worlds that don’t have homophobia because I personally don’t enjoy writing it/making it a plot point, there’s so much amazing art in all forms dealing with it that it doesn’t feel like trying to erase a very real problem/ignore it because obviously it unfortunately is a big part of queer experience for a lot of people, it’s just that I like to imagine worlds where that isn’t a factor just so there’s also places to escape that, esp in silly fanfiction that I write – that’s what I also enjoy to read as a queer person myself! So while it would definitely give this au a lot of depth, I’m at least not right now including that in these replies <3

As for the other stuff, I have not thought about it a lot even though these should be kinda the main questions for this au… So let’s think about it!

Paparazzi – John dislikes paparazzi as much as anyone but Gale despises them. He finds it a bit invasive but kind of a “part of the job” con for John and later their relationship in the public when it happens when arriving to/leaving events, but when he first catches someone taking his picture while leaving the gym or his office he gets very antsy. This creates some tensions for a bit as John understands his stress but also feels like they talked about it beforehand and now he can’t really do anything about it. When they’re out together and they spot paparazzi John always tries to block Gale from the sight, pull him behind himself or guide them some other way. They love to travel and it’s also easier to avoid being spotted when they’re away from LA/New York. It’s bad for the first few months but eventually the attention on them eases up a bit and they can go back to the new normal with only occasional encounters with the paparazzi; Gale also grows more accustomed to it and knows how to dress to and act to hide & make it a bit less intense.

Fan backlash – I think this would be an interesting thing to explore. Even though a lot of the fans are just happy for John, there are also some who have become too parasocial/illusioned about him after being fans for years (and he is a heartthrob and charming and widely accepted as “boyfriend material”) that they get upset when the relationship is revealed, starting to talk shit on social media about John never having been genuine and has only been lying to his fans meaning he never actually cared about them, and through that getting to insult his work and that they only went to see it because he’s hot but now it’s ruined. John was also shipped with a lot of his previous castmates and some shippers are also upset and saying he “setteled” for Gale who’s “just an ordinary office worker” when he could’ve had a flashy Hollywood Romance – while many see his fiancés shyness and soft-spokeness in public as adorable, some say he doesn’t match John’s vibe at all, and the fact that John also seems different with him is not a good thing and they start to psychoanalyze their relationship. John couldn’t care less for some angry comments on his insta but some of the hate is directed towards Gale, and he’s a bit taken aback when he starts to receive DM’s telling him to leave John immediately and accusing him of manipulating him into a relationship with “someone like him”. John is obviously very upset by all of this but Gale reminds him that he’s seen it all at work and can handle himself.

Stalkers – The other extreme of Gale haters would then be the people who get like way into him real fast, he’s beloved by the masses, sure, but these people are more like a cult (probably of the similar style of fan as the one’s who turn against John in the previous point, like highkey parasocial behavior but when John starts to date publicly it’s like “no, he’s OUR boyfriend” but not in a funny way you know). The line is blurred to some people what it means that John revealed he has a partner, it’s not a ”new part of him” but a real person of his own that happens to be dating their favorite actor, and this gets lost on some people who start to treat him almost like he was Bucky’s pet (idk if this makes any sense but like as if he was just a cute little thing he can post pics about and doesn’t really have an agency of their own AND the fans feel like they ”know him” when they actually know nothing about him except that he’s dating their idol). Gale’s not expecting to get any “fans” of his own, so he’s a bit weary when he’s asked to take pics with people without John or given stuff on red carpets etc, and especially when people really cross boundaries and try to gift him/them like condoma or sex toys or lingerie (I’m thinking of that one interview where they showed Austin his fan merch and there was the thong with his face on it and I’m thinking someone gifting a similar one of Bucky to him and him being absolutely horrified) or something else kinda projecting their own fantasies into them, or playing it off as a joke while it’s actually really distrurbing — just because they’re out doesn’t mean the relationship opened for other people to comment on. Then of course there’s just the usual internet hellhole-stuff, people start sending him really inappropriate messages about his body/looks/what they’d want to do to him given the chance that he maybe didn’t expect because he doesn’t believe John when he tells him that’s like notably attractive. I could also imagine for example a moment where someone approaches them when they’re leaving an event or something and Gale is being professional and polite but the other person is really overstaying their welcome/not following social cues but talking to him like a friend would and when John tries to politely lead them onwards the “fan” grabs Gale’s arm or something and it causes a small scene. Gale is stressed in these situations mostly because he fears how they’ll reflect on John’s image if he’s presented as being rude to fans but luckily these are rare occasions.

Despite all of this, they both are happy that the relationship is public, there are more pros than cons for being able to build their future together without having to be each others dirty little secrets (idk why but it came to my mind now that Gale is so the type that since he couldn’t always tell people he had a partner, everyone would either hit on him or try to match him with someone because “how is someone that pretty single?!” and this would annoy the hell out of Bucky despite him being the one with millions of options at any given moment, i like some jealous bucky :D)

you're crazy, charles just had one of the worst race bcs ferrari fuck him up again, and what u think of it was how this circumstances was fit into the prompt some people ask u. please could u be more conciderate to treat him like a human he is and not ur fanfiction tools?

I was going to ignore this ask completely because quite frankly it’s ridiculous, especially given the nature of this blog, but I think there is an important point to be made. 

Firstly, this is my blog and I am entitled to post whatever I want.

Secondly, and this might be difficult for you anon, you need to pause and take a second to realise that people react to things in different ways. You might not like RPF or you might only like it within certain circumstances but you certainly don’t speak for everyone. What makes you you think that it is okay for you to dictate how other people deal with their emotions?! I can’t even begin to tell you how narrow minded and inconsiderate that is of you. 

I spent the few hours after the race discussing Charles’ situation and speculating on what options he has but then I decided to take a step back. I assume you want me to keep doom posting but I can assure you that that will not improve Charles’ situation. I suppose I could have tried marching to Maranello to try and take control of Ferrari by force but alas I didn’t think of that at the time.

I understand that you might feel frustrated, angry or sad after the race but if seeing fan fiction takes about it makes you this upset then I would suggest, with all sincerity, taking a step away from the internet after a race. It’s up to you though, I am not here to tell you what to do. I just think it is important we realise that this is a sport and we should try not to take on all the stress and negativity of it in our own lives as difficult as that can be sometimes. 

This blog is 90% fan fiction and contained to a site where it should not reach Max, Charles or anyone who knows them. When they are racing I support them as drivers but when I am writing about them then I suppose they are fan fiction tools. That doesn’t make them any less human. I find that writing fan fiction about events helps me set the emotions around a race aside rather than carry that negativity around with me. 

In short, I think you need to stop being rude to people online (anonymously no less), stop trying to regulate other people’s reactions to things and stop taking away other people’s fun and/or emotional outlets. Charles won’t thank us for it, he doesn’t even know we exist! 

If you think this is some gotcha moment I can assure you that it is not. If Charles has another bad race (and I say if because please let Ferrari regroup and come back stronger) but if he has another bad race you best believe that I am fictionally going to make Max fuck him either harder next time thanks to this ask, so hard that Charles won’t remember what team he drives for. I therefore respectfully suggest you block this account to save yourself future stress.

Regarding that consent reblog: I appreciate the way you handle consent, education and kink in your fics so much! I love kink in fics, I love fics that are deep dead dove territory, but nothing makes me nope out more quickly than a story that has dubious consent or rape, but doesn't address it narratively or even downplays it. I read a published erotica novel recently that a friend recommended and I was close to tears by how upsetting I found the way it dealt with consent. I have no issue with reading rape, and do read it occasionally, but I find it fucked up when non-consensual situations are downplayed to something just slightly toxic, but acceptable. After that, I had even more appreciation for how you write. Specifically the warming verse made me re-evaluate how I would approach certain kink conversations with a partner. So, thank you!

😭😭😭 thank you for writing all this out, bestie. this was very well said and i'm so glad that you enjoy the way i handle consent/kink in my fics!

i know not everybody likes talking about it, and clearly some people don't want it in fics at all (though i don't think they're readers of mine. i've received a lot of weird anon hate and "constructive criticism" over the years and never once has it been like "ew you write too much consent" lmfao) but it's always nice to know that people are enjoying the way i write it.

believe it or not, i never set out to be a smut writer 😂 if you go back to the very beginning of my ao3 history, i reallllllly struggled with smut at first. my first dabble into smut was in my 1D fic (which has little to no smut) and it took me ACTUAL MONTHS to write one scene. it just wasn't something i ever saw myself doing. but even though this is fanfiction and not all that serious, i still feel responsible to make it as realistic as possible.

mostly because that's what i like to read, but partly because... i think it's important people read it.

it's easy to get sort of... lost in ao3 kink/smut/dead dove stuff when you're consuming SO much of it (or too much of it) which sort of goes in line with what you were saying about non-consensual situations being downplayed to something just slightly toxic.

i feel (personally. this is different for everyone, but i'm sure some people can relate) you can easily get into a bad place where the lines of reality start to blur and you can almost... forget? that there's a difference between fanfic smut and real life sexual encounters. and i never want any of my readers to forget that they should ALWAYS advocate for their safety, for their consent, and for any other thing my characters talk about.

i never want any of my readers to go out looking for a kinky relationship (especially if they only realized they might be into that from reading my fics) and forget to protect themselves. because their safety is more important to me than views. it is more important to me than pleasing random anons who are just looking to get off and not reading the full story. and it is definitely more important to me than ao3 kudos.

i'm 33 years old, and i've found myself in too many situations in my life where i haven't always felt heard or safe in my surroundings. and if i can gentle-parent my readers into always remembering that consent is sexy and that their safety is valid and important and not worth leaving out of a silly fanfiction, than i can sleep soundly at night.

Ahhh Hello My Dear Smoothie Anon!

Thank you so much! I am finally feeling better thank goodness! I was so angry that my body shut down on me like that (especially since I basically did it to myself and should KNOW BETTER by now I've lived here for six years) I had plans this weekend!! I was supposed to do social things in addition to writing! Annnnd instead I did none of that RIP. I LOVE autumn that is my happy time! The winters were I live now aren't bad but I hated them growing up - I am NOT a snow person omg (I basically moved to the surface of hell to get AWAY from the snow lol I may have over compensated) But yeah it wasn't full on like "go to the hospital your innards are cooking" heatstroke but that more unfortunate and common mild version where you just feel like shit and can't cool down. And then you feel like shit so you don't eat and it's a horrible cycle. RE: sun poisoning though omfg that is the actual worst thing ever I actually ended up in the ER with sun poisoning when I was a kid one time (my poor parents were beside themselves) and now I am like the sun protection police. I live in a very hot sunny place and I wear long sleeves all summer, I have an extensive collection of wide brim hats and I will be reapplying 80 SPF sunscreen every 60 minutes. I also will find the smallest sliver of shade possible and will hide in it. I am not fucking around when it comes to the sun. HOWEVER, I still managed to get myself over heated and greatly paid the price 😞
