Why do I personally enjoy gay romances to het ones? Preference and taste probably. I also tend to enjoy the angst, longing, tropes, passion, etc in the way its written more than I do in the ways those things are written between a straight couple. And that's not to say I don't enjoy straight romances either! I have plently of het ships I love too, and a few good romances that aren't gay 😂 I just have a preference, and that's okay! As for recommendations!! I have a LOTS! If you want to tell me about what YOU like to read, I can give even better recs. But for in general, some of my favorites...

🥺 It took me a while to really think this through because I'm a pro at overthinking and also, I wasn't sure if my thoughts were the right answer. So, I'd say that a common interaction that always gets me in the feels (Happy/fluffy) is when I have characters touch foreheads or tenderly caress a thumb against a cheek.

A more angsty interaction that would get me in the feels would be character A holding character B, whether they be partners or family/friends, as character B dies in their arms. Super feely!

✨ (You did this on purpose, you who often hear me insult and complain about my writing. Fiend. If I must, I shall.) I am incredibly creative when it comes to my worlds. As for my writing, I really like how far I've come and how much my writing has improved.

💖 My fifth grade teacher, who loved giving us prompts either from a published book full of art prompts, or prompts he wrote for us. He helped me find my love for writing, and fifth grade was when I wrote my first ever fanfiction which was a Percy Jackson fanfic with a self-insert oc who was helping him and the gang fight monsters. Didn't know it was fanfiction at the time. I also dabbled in my own stories, and as a child who had only ever used toys to create worlds, to sit there and see worlds in my head while putting them on paper was an awesome experience and it's stuck with me since. I've continually improved my style, and I am forever grateful to Mr. Jackins for giving me my love for writing. You have no idea the monster you created XD

"You're allowed to have friends outside of the task force, Hesh. Soap seems like a nice guy." Keegan sips his coffee; coffee Soap had brought him because Keegan wouldn't stop bitching at the weak shit in the lounge area.

"Merrick makes me feel like I can't." He says, leaning against the wall opposite Keegan.

"He's a mother hen, he worries." Keegan defends, eyes full of a teasing light.

"Ha, I don't know how I feel-" His words catch in his throat, a voice from a room down the hall echoing against the walls. He knows this voice. He turns, ignoring Keegan's confusion to march down the hall and barge into the room.

"You have something that belongs to me, Captain." That devilish voice, full of hatred and conniving rattles Hesh's skull and has him falling back against the door before his eyes settle on the face before him.

Captain Price stands just ahead, arms crossed, his eyes locked on the man before him.

"Rorke!" Hesh snarls, launching forward only to be held back.

"Hey there junior!" Rorke calls, cackling like the piece of shit he is.

Hesh snarls, his teeth bared like a wild animal desperate for a kill.

"You look good, it's been a while." His eyes flick to whoever is holding him. "Still can't keep your pups in line Merrick? Damn shame." He leans back, standing to his full height on the screen. "I'll be in touch Price, I don't let shit go easily." The screen goes black, and the hard eyes of Captain Price fall on Hesh.

"We need to talk." He says, and while he holds no anger in his voice, his eyes share how displeased he is.

I haven't sent my usual play-by-play rants this time XD That chapter was to be digested in silence fr🧘‍♀️

A 10k word count is no joke so firstly, thank you for deciding to share this story with the fam <3 I can't wrap my head around the fact that there was supposed to be more, but you opted to make it a different chapter

So, dearest darling, I just wanted to say:

Each fic you do, the thing I find most exciting is the creative ways you dodge using 'y/n'. Let me tell you, I live for it. Like with the bodyguard au you decide to describe how he talks to mc instead of just simply slapping 'y/n' onto the sentence and calling it a day... and that just does it for me.

For this specific chapter I love how you used Jisung's and Hyunie's characters. Han starting the chapter literally made me go :( Partially bc he doesn't know his besties sleep in the same bed and have been doing so for the past 4 years. I wonder if they ever tell him...

With Hyunjin, ugh the character developed queen you are. Especially the part where mc is making sure he eats that cupcake ("You eat! You eat!"~Han Jisung) Tbh this chapter is so angsty bc yet again I go 😔 Sure, mc's life is basically hell but she has Felix... Who does Hyunjin have? :(((( I'm worried about him, does he have anyone he can rely on? :(

I audibly yelled when Felix caught mc with her hand in her pants 💀💀💀💀💀💀 I CACKLED! It was so funny to me like why couldn't a homegirl think of doing it under the covers😭😭??? Or in another bathroom of that humongous house

This brings me to the humanness of the chapter. A moment of silence for your ever-impeccable use of imagery🙇‍♀️ They're just kids. They really are just a boy and a girl at the end of the day. When Felix leaned over to peck her forehead I genuinely stopped reading for a second. The way he handles her so gently (most of the time hehe), coupled with the way she was counting the seconds.... Like darling be fr😭 How will I ever move on from this fic? I loved every description of how she clung to him because she didn't really know how else to deal with what she's feeling. And for heaven's sake Felix, KISS HER ALREADY! I love how I'm saying this knowing he can't. Ooh which reminds me, i loved the part where you said that crossing that line would have to be intentional. No not-so-accidental hanky panky here hah. For all the cliches that are allowed to slide in fanfiction, I once again love how you simply refuse to be ordinary.

Lastly, onto the smut hehe ;) The tension was everything to me. The build up was superb. All the times he rushed to the bathroom 😭😭✋ My favourite part was when he asked mc if Hyunjin had kissed her. I know that part wasn't steamy but if I was mc that would have told me all I need to know ✋ Anyways, you ate up every fic and it's author's pet with that mutual mast******** I would've physically died. The way you described everything fbdhgfjfjtjidbm

I'm sharing my breaking-my-emotional-attachment-with-Cam-plam in case someone is struggling too lol Let's see how well it goes for me because I've built it around all my known weaknesses.

1. I've deleted the Instagram app from my phone and I've unlogged from my account in all browsers (I only used the app to check on celebs anyway). I'm only allowing myself to check once a day on Kelly's insta to see if there's something up (while not being logged in so I can't check her stories because she does repost Cam's). If Cam posts something on his stories, I'll gladly miss them and the tachycardia he sometimes gives me. Not allowed to check on Madison's either.

2. I've deleted the Twitter app from my phone. I follow way too many Cam stans and sometimes they repost pictures when he looks a bit too cute and the vicious circle begins again.

3. I've deleted his pictures from my phone lol I'm really treating him like an ex. I was getting actual heart pangs anytime I checked my gallery and found screenshots of him. I'm not allowed to download any more either.

4. I'm only keeping Tumblr as a platform to interact with Cameron content. I'm a very big Gallavich fan and I don't mind Shameless content so I like it here. This fandom is actually very organized and they have really nice fanfiction events! I'm also on AO3 like 24/7 tbh.

My goal is to start to see him again as just an actor who happened to portray a character I really liked. And to just stop devoting so much time and energy on him. Fingers crossed!

Look how long I've been siting on this beautiful ask 😭

All of this is keeping in mind I've only been "in" to Cats for the past three years, and I've actually seen a limited number of productions.

Favorite just has to be Vienna Revival. Not to say other past productions haven't been as amazing, but this is the one I saw in the theater and am most attached to. The amazing cast. The beautiful theatre. The teeny tiny stage which squished everyone together. The incredible interaction between all the cats. The gorgeous makeup and costuming. I will never ever ever ever ever be over Vienna. I mourn everyday for its closing 😭

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA If I had total creative control?

Dump ALW and any influence he might have. Resurrect Gillian Lynne would be an option if I could managed it ajsdklfaj;

Hire back Karen Dawson and give her creative control over makeup. Emphasize individual looks based on each performer.

Allow different productions to use their own designs as desired.

I don't need to say that Pekes & Pollicles will henceforth be put back in it's proper place as *Munkustrap's Song* and the cutest, silliest moment on the musical. I will never ever ever forgive RUG for dumping it and creating that unholy mishmash of P&P with Growltiger than does a disservice to both.

Overhaul Growltiger put keep the panto pirates and let the crew be part of the action! Growltiger is *enormously* important. What the people who crudely substituted P&P for it seem to have completely missed (I have no idea how), is that Growltiger is a FLASHBACK. It's a silly fun pantomime with the Cats playing "characters" in Gus's mind. When the scene ends Gus is left alone, reliving a scene and seeing an audience that no one else can. It's sad moment full of pathos. When Gus slowly walks off stage it's with the cats that love him mourning his loss. Which is WHYYY they call for Skimbleshanks because Skimbleshanks cheers everyone up!

Find all the cats alums, especially those that worked with Gillian, and get their opinions, thoughts, and expertise worked into the productions. Pay and treat them well enough that you get experienced Cats back on stage teaching the younger ones

Do I even have to say keeping Gillian's choreo?? Also bring back the entire Ball including British Airways.

Bring back the swings and stop cutting Electra and George and Etcetera

Round theater or thrust stage!

Get rid of NuGriz and bring back the original

Letting productions have more creative control in general

Discovering Cats!

So I grew up in the 80s and 90s and Cats was absolutely everywhere in popular culture. But the only time I actually saw the production was when I was quite little (probably around 4 or 5 years old). I have a vivid memory of the cats creeping along the theater and hanging over the balconies. I thought it amazing but mostly I thought it was terrifying and I *really* didn't like the makeup or costumes because I didn't think they looked like cats!

Scoot forward to 2019 when I put the Movie on for a lark and then about 15 minutes in decided I need to see the stage musical - since I couldn't remember enough about it.

And holy COW was I blown away!!! My background is more in dance than anything else, and M&R was the first number I watched. After that it was Old Deuteronomy and that's when I realized that Cats was about Dancing and the music for Old D was so beautiful that I ditched watching the movie and found 1998 instead. Fell for Munkustrap and Tugger immediately and went searching for fanfiction XD I'll say from the moment I watched Cats I never got any sense that any of them were "related". The idea of brothers or mates or sisters or Dad or whatever really didn't factor in. They were just actual cats all thrown in together. So I really consider all the extra stuff just fanon.

💜 What is the most heart wrenching passage you’ve ever written?

Sorry @neutronstarchild, it took me a hot minute to find an answer to this. I had a couple from Circles, and one from No Such Thing but didn't want to spoil them so I had to get onto my desktop.

I don't typically write angst because I don't feel I'm very good at it. I shy away from any prolonged angst in my own stuff as much as I do when looking to read. I tend to live in the "miscommunication drama" side of things. 😂

Fanfiction Asks

Circles

With a motion from Inuyasha, the slayer moved back and he turned to the miko at his side, taking hold of her shoulders gently.  “Are you sure you're ready for this?”

“No.  But we have to.  He's our... my son.  Our friend.”  His eyes fluttered shut at her slip, reminded all too easily how close they had come to being a family.  A family he had failed to protect.

“Mama!” Izayoi called, catching her full attention. Kagome gasped at the very familiar image before her. Her silver-haired, downy-eared hanyou toddler stood holding a large leaf on her head and an intensely pleased look on her face. All Kagome could see was a russet-haired kitsune kit in that moment. Her knees nearly buckled at the intensity of the grief that hit her, but Inuyasha proved how in tune with her he was and caught her around the waist. Kagome fought a smile onto her face and knelt down to snuggle her sweet girl. “Mama?”

“You found such a big leaf, didn’t you?” she quavered. “Mama and Otou should tell you about your brother, Shippou. He played with leaves all the time.” Inuyasha seemed to catch on to what had happened and curled his larger frame around the two of them until Kagome felt strong enough to stand. Despite her initial protest, Kagome insisted on carrying Izayoi the rest of the way to Sango and Miroku’s hut. The toddler settled into her mother’s chest, sensing her upset and offering comfort in her own way. The dual set of purring warm bodies slowly brought Kagome out of her fog and she nuzzled the small silver ears under her chin.

No Such Thing

Knowing, yet terrified, she couldn’t ignore the last two figures. They had been placed in the middle of the box and wrapped with particular care. These two were painted a little, just enough to hint at colors. The first held a bow and was dressed in a sailor fuku with hints of green and white. The paint had smudged a little where the necktie was, making it look a little bigger than she imagined he’d wanted. Kagome trailed her finger over the red sleeve, the curve of a sword, the pale hair of the final figurine. She studied the way he had portrayed himself, comparing it to how she knew him. Her fingertip found the pointed ears, the curve of his chin.

She sighed, moving to set down her figure, she was startled when she felt a tug on the one in her other hand. The breath caught in her throat and tears built at her lower lashes until they spilled over. It had to be strong to not have broken, especially given how tiny it was. Maybe it’s a thread from the firerat, her brain supplied numbly. It might have been accidental, catching on the small grooves near the wrists of the little figures. The fact remained that the tiny red string that connected their hands would not allow them to be separated.

Kagome didn’t make it to her movie that night. Her ankle hadn’t appreciated the repeat landings in the hard-packed dirt and her friends would have commented on her broken fingernails. Fate is cruel.
