I think cis people should also be their gender of choice. Like, if you're a man, you should get to really enjoy being a man- have fun with it! If you're a woman, take the parts of womanhood that really deeply make you happy. If being a little androgynous or ambiguous or hidden is the part that really makes you happy, you don't have to be trans for that. If you wanna lean really hard into being femme or masc- do it! You have one life in your body, do what makes you happy. Ditch the stuff you don't like.
My sinister queer agenda is I think that everyone should be the gender they like in the way they like it.

I saw this question posed on tiktok, but I think Tumblr would really enjoy it too.
If a fae creature offered to give one million dollars for a bone FROM YOUR BODY chosen at random, how many bones would you allow them to take?
Light clarifications; The fae is not the one choosing the bones. The bone is taken at random. Each bone, no matter the size or importance, is worth a full million dollars. You must also declare the exact number first, you can't go bone-by-bone. You either say 2 or you say 10, you can't work your way up to a higher number. The bones are removed instantaneously, and the money is given immediately as well. You will not get in government trouble for acquiring the money.
Tell me in the tags/replies how many bones you'd let the fae take. And as always, reblog for bigger sample size.

does anyone have like an anti aesthetic. like something you look at and can recognize as a complete fashion/interior design/artistic movement and understand it but it makes you shudder seeing it. i am not talking like ā€œits morally badā€ ā€œits poorly structuredā€ like just sheerly devoid of joy for you actually invites a repulse response.

Brennanā€™s talked before about how as a poor young adult he lived in New York and struggled with food security. He tells a story of going to frozen yogurt places for free samples and a cheap dumpling spot because it was a lot of food.
His opinions on food and his described behaviours around food make a lot of sense in that context. He may be successful now and can be assured he can eat again when heā€™s hungry, but it appears he has legitimate trauma around his experiences with poverty because what heā€™s humorously describing is a trauma response. His mind hasnā€™t gotten rid of the anxiety of ā€œIā€™m eating now so I better make it count because I donā€™t know when I will again.ā€
Because heā€™s a comedian he manages to frame it as a joke, but thereā€™s certainly an underlying sadness. It also informs Evan Kelmpā€™s characterization. Capitalism is the root issue here and poverty is state-sanctioned economic abuse.
Anyway, I hope heā€™s doing well and taking care of himself.

If good and bad qualities are individual for each person and every man can be either misogynistic or not, then how could systemic oppression of women have formed in the first place if, according to this belief, there were always ā€œnot-all-menā€?
and why are there so few of these "not-all-men" that they couldn't stop their fellow men from killing, raping, and blocking women's access to the economy, education, politics? what have these "not-all-men" done so that we remember to mention them every time we talk about rapists?
"why don't you understand that not every one of us is a misogynist and a rapist?!šŸ˜". well, how does this change the situation? how does this understanding help women not to encounter misogynists and rapists?

trans women are everywhere and are so eager to be seen and heard but only if they feel safe around you. if you hardly ever have trans women interacting with you, especially online, then consider there might be a reason for that and you should address it

My dear lgbt+ kids,Ā
I'm compiling some safety tips here for people in the US here that I found online. Some things you may want to do before January:Ā
Make an appointment with your doctor to talk about a long-term birth control plan, such as an IUD or vasectomy.Ā
Make an appointment with your doctor to make sure your vaccinations are up to date and to get a Covid booster.Ā
Check in, and stay in contact with, your queer friends. Thereā€™s strength in numbers. Community is important.Ā
Consider renewing your passport if necessary.Ā
Consider stocking up on fluoride toothpaste, pregnancy tests or other health products you worry about not (safely) having access to in the future.Ā
Rest up. Hydrate. Eat. Take care of yourself. The best act of rebellion is staying alive. You donā€™t need to feel strong or brave or even optimistic, just be kind to yourself.Ā
With all my love,Ā
Your Tumblr DadĀ
