#feeling productive

if you are someone who struggles with motivating yourself to attend to your chores, take care of yourself, or feel drained by the thought of hoarding so much responsibilities, i want to share a tip.

if you happen to be standing for some reason, try to complete all tasks that you usually do up standing. so for me, once i am on my feet, i do a sequence of activities like brushing my teeth, washing my face, ironing my clothes, brushing my hair, organizing my stuff for college, making my bed etc. without taking any break and i am able stack around 5 tasks comfortably. also, once the momentum is built, it gets easier!

similarly, if i am at my desk, sitting, i usually have my laptop there and always some work that needs to get done for college, admin or miscellaneous purposes. i try to do as much as i can.

this is particularly helpful for me because i am a big bedrot. especially when i am in pain or uncomfortable in general.

i just thought maybe it will help someone out there. this same hack might go in vain for me in a few weeks lol and i am just always figuring it out to push myself to be a functioning adult.

Day 1&2 /100 of Productivity. | 27/06 & 28/06/23

Forgot to post yesterday because I was so busy. But I have gotten a huge number of things done over the past 2 days, it has been amazing! Here are some of the things I have done~!

Detail cleaned my floors.

Washed the dishes.

Detail cleaned my bathroom.

Made a study schedule for A&P 2 (I failed A&P 1)

Done some planning for my wedding.

Bought groceries.

Done a couple loads of laundry.

And that is only a small portion of the list.

I plan to keep doing the days of productivity but may do them sporadically and with a couple days at a time.

this has been in my inbox for two months, i'm very sorry for the late reply 😅 in my sort of defence, this was in the depths of my ma dissertation period, so that whole late-august/early-september is a blur of words and suffering.

i don't particularly ship-ship members, as in watching their content and theorising. but i do have my favourite dynamics to read about.

for jisung, my fave is always hyunjin/jisung. give me that enemies to lovers, give me the predebut shouting matches. i love it. i adore it. quiet-loud pairings all the way. minho is soft n squishy for jisung, and that's nice, but gimme someone who despises him for the first two acts of the fic, you know?

for minho, it's actually minho/chan. except idk how to explain it, but i like it specifically for chan rather than minho. minho kinda vibes with everyone, he's just a fun character to read about. but my favourite chan is one who realises he cannot mother-hen everyone, and faces someone that does not tolerate his penchant for bullshit. someone to sit him down and be like "you don't have to be The Dad Friend, just be you, you weirdo noise hermit"

but uh, yeah, those are my general preferred ships - again, in a pure hypothetical fanfic character template sense, not out here shipping the irl men 👍

“At least, from what Clockwork taught me,” Phantom continued, and that made Constantine snap to attention, “ectoplasm is just kind of… There. Floating around in the background, but at such a low level that it doesn’t usually manifest. But it’s still there, and it functions kind of like radiation: just being around it might cause you to develop liminality.”

“Liminality?” Bruce asked. Phantom shrugged.

“Any side effects you would notice are only caused by high levels of exposure, nothing like this low-level radiation. But, well… Ectoplasm is both attracted to emotions and attracted by emotions. And ectoplasm heightens emotions, too. The fact that the human race has been alive so long, evolved to feel more complex emotions, it’s because the ectoplasm bonded enough with humanity to allow that. Humans achieved sentience because they could feel enough to determine they existed. Without ectoplasm, slowly those emotions will fade. And…” Phantom hesitated.

“…I can’t say that humanity will become nonsentient once again, not for sure. But I can say that you will slowly, generation by generation, lose the feelings you have now.”

Feeling Productive

There is such a good feeling working on a team for a creative project. I won't say too much save that it is TTRPG related, but we're in production editing and getting close to a third of the way done with the potential for additional projects in the future.

I still very much want to get out more Bystander and Divine Blood, though if getting some profit off of an IP I definitely love gets to me where I can live on that and have time for more projects, I'm definitely fine to put those on hold for the moment.

And when I get back to Divine Blood and Bystander (and maybe the unnamed not!Earth stuff I started with last year's NaNoWriMo) I'll definitely look forward to finding a good editor or two to work with, having multiple perspectives on a project is so valuable.
