#feeling productive

if you are someone who struggles with motivating yourself to attend to your chores, take care of yourself, or feel drained by the thought of hoarding so much responsibilities, i want to share a tip.

if you happen to be standing for some reason, try to complete all tasks that you usually do up standing. so for me, once i am on my feet, i do a sequence of activities like brushing my teeth, washing my face, ironing my clothes, brushing my hair, organizing my stuff for college, making my bed etc. without taking any break and i am able stack around 5 tasks comfortably. also, once the momentum is built, it gets easier!

similarly, if i am at my desk, sitting, i usually have my laptop there and always some work that needs to get done for college, admin or miscellaneous purposes. i try to do as much as i can.

this is particularly helpful for me because i am a big bedrot. especially when i am in pain or uncomfortable in general.

i just thought maybe it will help someone out there. this same hack might go in vain for me in a few weeks lol and i am just always figuring it out to push myself to be a functioning adult.

The 14th Day of Writemas, Part 2! 🤶🎅✍️

Welcome back to Part 2 for today! Thank you @agirlandherquill for getting Writemas going! This is a tag game/writing challenge/writing prompt list as I like to say 😉You can find the rules in the invitation post, open to all 👩‍💻Today is Day 14. When picking from the prompt list I picked two 😊 I did the feeling of joy here. Then here I am doing the pain of leaving. This is another scene from my YA Dystopia The Blood Cleaners. You might notice how I use the line "Every time I see that look on your face, it hurts." That's because originally I as I reworked this scene, I incorporated the writing from from the 11th Day of Writemas prompts! At that time, I didn't like where the scene was going so I switched to another prompt and another WIP, here. Today I wanted so much to pick the prompt "the pain of leaving" that I decided to do double duty and do two prompts today. I worked on this scene again and was able to greatly improve it from what it was before. I hope you enjoy both 💚🤍❤️🍒🦌👼🎄

It was time for Justin to sign out. 

When Justin made it to the first floor entrance, he heard, “Tenderheart!”

He turned to see Clarice run up to him. 

“Hi Blue,” he said. 

She stood in front of him. Her face hadn’t changed since he last saw her on her floor. Her lips hung open, her eyelids were droopy, and her face slumped as if she had been hit hard. Not hit by a hand or a stick, but hit by words that sank inside her.

“Blue,” Justin said softly. “Every time I see that look on your face, it hurts."

Clarice blinked. “What? Really?”

“I’m not kidding. What your Papá said. It’s all a bunch of bullcrap.” He took a step closer. “Listen, don’t let his words get to you. He’s just saying that because he feels good about himself when he puts others down. He wants to blame you when something goes wrong. He’s a coward. Don’t believe anything he says.”

Clarice breathed in as a tear fell down her cheek. “I….I never thought of it that way. I’ll….” She left the words hanging in the air.

“Look,” Justin said firmly, “no matter what your parents say, you have to be one of the most beautiful young women I’ve ever seen.” Justin looked around to see if anyone was paying attention to them. There were several Fist teens in groups talking away in the foyer, but only paying attention to themselves. “You’re smart and sharp. Just keep doing what you’re doing. And you’ll be happy.”

Clarice’s face twisted as if she tried to understand the words. “Tenderheart, no one has ever said something so nice to me before.”

Justin felt a little thorn inside. “No one? None of your friends?”

“We didn’t have enough time. Look, I came here because I wanted to tell you something.”

He stared into her blue eyes with nothing to say.

Clarice slowly shifted to a sheepish smile.  “You’re my best friend, now.”

Jusitn felt like some weirdness flowed in his veins. “I’m sure you’ve known others way longer than me.”

“But none of them are like you.”

She hugged him. Justin wrapped his arms around her. Clarice put her face into his shoulder. 

He let go and looked at her.

Before Justin could say anything, Clarice asked, “Do you have to go? Could you stay in the Steel tonight?”

Justin shook his head sadly. “Sorry I can’t make that happen.”

Clarice looked like she fell down a hole. “Why?”

Justin never wished more than ever that he could make carbon copies of himself. “I have to go help my mamá and my sister. I also have to see my girl.”

Clarice cringed. “Your girl?”

“Remember Joselyn? My partner in blood cleaning at the quarry.”

“Joselyn” said Clarice as if she didn’t like the sound of the word. “So she’s your…girlfriend. Novia.”

“Yes, she’s my partner,” Justin said uneasily. He hoped to help Clarice feel better. “Blue, you’ve become a good friend for me, too. I expected work in the Steel to be boring. I can’t say that now.”

She lifted her face, but her eyes were weary. “Thank you. I’m just….I feel safer when you’re around. It’s like….the Steel is losing something when you’re gone.” 

“Hey,” Justin said softly, “just remember. You don’t need to fear your papá because he’s a small man. Write some notes for your friends and make those paper airplanes.”

She chuckled. “I’m kind of anxious to get down to those airplanes anyway….” 

“Hey, and I’ll see you tomorrow.”

She elbow bumped him. “Okay, Tenderheart. I’ll try to not keep you from your family.”

There was something about her face that made her image resonate with Justin. He almost felt dreamy in a way.

“I’ll see you tomorrow then,” he said with a nod. 

Clarice hugged him one more time before he morphed.

okay, the semester is winding down now and with my tablet pen broken, I can actually focus some energy on the game- got a lot of stuff in the works, I've narrowed down the cause of the game breaking bugs (there's two, one still in the game) and hopefully should be able to fix them without removing the features tied to them. I'm also working out the kinks on a new leak mechanic if you go too long without pumping, have some more flavour text in the works, am most of the way through two new contracts (eggs and slime), AND i've started writing more character stuff/the romance for Morgan.

Day 1&2 /100 of Productivity. | 27/06 & 28/06/23

Forgot to post yesterday because I was so busy. But I have gotten a huge number of things done over the past 2 days, it has been amazing! Here are some of the things I have done~!

Detail cleaned my floors.

Washed the dishes.

Detail cleaned my bathroom.

Made a study schedule for A&P 2 (I failed A&P 1)

Done some planning for my wedding.

Bought groceries.

Done a couple loads of laundry.

And that is only a small portion of the list.

I plan to keep doing the days of productivity but may do them sporadically and with a couple days at a time.

I'm curling up for sleep now. I've had a productive day of working on a test batch of files in Blender and I like the results. Soon, I'll be rebuilding a mod with the results of the test files. But for now, I sleep. Ni ni...zzz

I am so excited for ep 4 it's giving off krusty krab vibes and I'm losing my mind over it is SO funny to me 😭😭

and I absolutely love this brush so much it is a motivation lifesaver,,plus I've been working on pushing expressions and trying to not be a perfectionist and this is the result and I'm having so much fun! enjoy my silly doodles lol 🤭

AU idea: PV never regains memories, ancients don't reunite and the beasts are freed. Soul jam's powers are weak so SMilk aims to forcefully make PV remember and takes him to the spire (Little does SM know he'll get attached to this little compassionate Healer)

More details about this AU (currently called Slumbering Truth AU): Basically it starts off with Smilk being terrible and basically doing what he was doing in the 8th episode, trying to make PV remember and playing with his mind for his entertainment. He knows who PV used to be but PV knows nothing about him or his own past. He's confused as to why would this powerful cookie need him but decides to submit in exchange for the village being safe.

At first Healer is uncomfortable and nervous but gradually despite Smilk's intimidating look decides to play along his games and get to know him better. Smilk is surprised by the other's behavior (and unexpected wits and trickery) and what started with the urge to break PV down slowly became an urge to keep the other close since the other's intentions to know him were genuine and comforting and SMilk hated the thought of losing that (not that he'd admit that. he needs that Healer to see him suffer, right?).

Now he doesn't want Healer to remember, he doesn't snap at that cookie as much, he wants him to stay in this blissful lie because if PV knew the truth then he'd definitely leave Smilk and lock him again. If Healer knew the truth he'd turn against him instantly, Smilk was sure. For the first time in a long time, Smilk felt like he found someone to who he was connected and he wasn't going to let anything ruin that.

(It's a wip so I might change some stuff along the way)
