The Winter 2025 Bishop Myriel Fundraiser is now open. This year will be dedicated to immigrants, many of whom are languishing in private prisons whose stock just went way, way up.

Our goal this year is at least 25 auction items and over $1000 in funds raised. If you've never participated before, this is your year. DM if you would like to participate but need advice!

Get your fic, art, books, crafts, costumes, and other offers ready. You can submit them according to the rules under the cut, and bidding on each item will start as soon as it is posted. Bidding in REPLIES, NOT REBLOGS, will continue through the end of December 21st, the darkest night of the year.

The recommended places to donate this year are: 1) RAICES Texas, an immigration-focused group which freed more than 2,000 people from immigration detention over the years. They fought to reunify families when children were ripped from their parents' arms during the first Trump administration, and have now pivoted to using funds to provide legal support for the detained, while continuing to pay bonds for those clients.

2) Annunciation House, a shelter serving immigrants. Run by Catholics in Texas who open their doors to the stranger without asking to see their papers, this year they faced down a vicious attempt by the Texas government to shut them down as a "stash house." The attorney general claimed in court that they followed "a more Bohemian set of ‘seven commandments,’ including commandments to ‘visit’ people when ‘incarcerated’ and ‘care (for them) when they’re sick.'” What could be more in the spirit of this fundraiser's namesake, Bishop Myriel? If you are not in the US and/or find it difficult to donate via those pages and/or want to support a particular organization doing good work to assist immigrants that's not listed above, please feel free to select another organization. From groups funding rescue ships in the Mediterranean to those supporting refugees stuck in camps around the world, there is a lot of good work to be done.

My house has been bombed and I have not been able to take anything from it, and we are without any of the necessities of life. Life is very difficult in the tents, as they lack the most basic necessities of life. There is no feeling of safety in Gaza. We are tired of trying to adapt to everything that we know nothing about. We are a family of 9 members. We have been displaced 7 times from one place to another in search of safety, yet there is no safe place here with your support I can save my family and my future. I studied a bachelor’s degree in accounting, my average was very good, and my ambitions were very high. All hopes were demolished. It has become almost unknown in Gaza. We have lost our source of livelihood and we have lost many of my family and friends in this war as well. Trembling Essence:💙Clean up changes + New CG💙

Helloo guys and welcome new followers, here's how the game development is going so far!

A very big thank you to the recent influx of interest and comments stemming from my last game development post! I will try to get to everything when I can! :]

Important notice towards updates about Trembling Essence:

For a good while I've been able to post updates about the game's progress weekly! Now that it's getting closer to fall and spooky month(Yay! :]) I am going to continue to be busy so I want to let you guys know that future updates will be irregular. Game development posts will be every 1-4 weeks depending on how things go. :[]

I spent the first few days continuing off from the previous development post by going through the last of The Swamplands and patched some things up! Towards the end of that week however, I got very busy and didn't get a chance to get to the cabin section or much else which is why this was delayed by an extra week so I appreciate the patience! :]

New CG:

I drew up a new CG that you can get depending on your choices when talking to Noah. My play tester saw the first version I colored up but unfortunately the perspective was really off and his shoulders were too wide. I was given a couple of tips and pointers so I redid it and here's how it looks for right now. I couldn't do much else after that. :,,,]]]]

Last bit of clean up changes:

Intro:

When it came to the introduction of Noah, the new parallax effect I added created a small glitch where the HP/COLD indicators were still shown behind CG's during a screen transition. There was some minor dialog adjustments, mainly describing certain situations a bit better. The moments where Noah talks to the player(Y/N) have been tweaked, not by too much but just enough to fill out this section of the game a little more. While I was going through the choices, I came across new dialog I added at some point and never came back to so I fixed it up just a little too. :]

I altered the choice text for this since the previous wording was a little confusing from my play testers perspective. A good portion of the dialog was fixed and there was going to be a timed situation later on but I decided not to add it since this is a fairly straightforward path.

Chasm Ending:

This ending got expanded by a fair amount mainly because the end is awkwardly abrupt and I didn't like that. I corrected it but the CG you see at this part didn't match the text so I went back one last time and a added visual effect. Overall, this part is done! :]

UPDATE 7/30/24: I ended up starting a DCU charity event which is going on now! Check out @dcufans4palestine

Over 100 people have responded to the poll I put out two days ago about a DCU charity event for Palestine (see the original post here) so I have decided to make an actual interest form.

Please fill out this form if you have any interest in participating in a DCU themed fan event to raise money for a Palestinian cause. Whether you want to create fanworks (of any type!) in exchange for donations, donate in exchange for fanworks, or help organize the event, please share your thoughts! All corners of the fandom are welcome. The more participants, the better. On top of figuring out how many people would be interested in participating, this form is also to learn what type of event people would be most interested in.

Hopefully there is a good amount of interest (and some volunteers to help run the event) and we can make this a reality!

There are currently three event options in the form. Here is a brief description of what each would look like:

1. Gotcha for Gaza: donors would send proof of a donation to the event with a prompt. There would be a team of volunteer creators the prompt would go to. A volunteer would claim the prompt and send their work to the donor. This would probably be mostly fanfic and/or fanart

2. Raffle: volunteer creators would offer up a prize. Prizes would most likely be commissions, but if anyone wanted to donate handmade physical art, merch, comics, etc, that would also be an option. Donors would be able to buy raffle tickets, likely for about $5 a piece. Raffle tickets would either be offered by category (donate $5 to fanfic category -> if you win, you are matched with a creator offering fanfic) or by creator (your raffle ticket would be going to the specific creator you are most interested in).

3. Commissions: creators would get to choose how much to charge, what they are willing to offer, etc. The event would share everyone’s commission details, but donors would contact the creators directly. This would probably be mostly fanart, maybe some fanfic

I’ve already written my reflection and recap from 2024 on my 2024 Tumblr Wrapped post so I won’t say a lot more about the past year except to say, “Thank f*ck it’s over,” and, “I’m glad I survived...for now.” 

I’ve also shared my main goals for 2025 on the same post, but overall, I’m really looking forward to be able to get as many WIPs out as possible this year and finish a ton of series that have been on hiatus for a long time. I also have some new ideas that are begging for me to write and release, and I’m really looking forward to it. I hope you’ll stay tuned for my future plans as well.

The city in which I am in currently has no bookstores other than ones directly affiliated with strict religious groups, and given the current climate on banning literature in the states, we are in a fight more than ever to make knowledge accessible to everyone. I hope to open The Local Haunt Bookstore based on the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion - specifically stocking titles by minorities, women, English Second Language, and LGBTQA+ authors.

Welcome to the Drabble-A-Thon! We're back, baby!

What is it?

From December 1st to December 8th, I will be offering 1,000-word drabble commissions for $5 through Ko-Fi!

How does it work?

If you make a donation of $5 on Ko-Fi, and give a 1-2 sentence description of your drabble idea in the donation note, I will write a 1,000 word* story! The story will be posted publicly on Ko-Fi, and cross-posted to Tumblr as well**. These will be done on a first-come first-serve basis, and I will keep a post on Ko-Fi and Tumblr updated on what number submission I am on. Because I don't know how many prompts will be given, I can't give a firm estimate on when the pieces will be delivered, so the queue will be the best way to see when your request is being worked on! 

*The finished drabble will be a minimum of 1,000 words, if I go over by a bit, that is on me, and just a fun bonus for you! 

**Ko-fi has strict guidelines for NSFW material, and anything rated "Explicit" will only be able to be posted to Tumblr. If you would like a PDF copy as well, please provide an email address to send it to in your message!

Are there any rules I should know about?

First and foremost, please make sure that you read my general commission guide which can be found here. Keep in mind I do not write Sub!/Bottom!Tomura or Dom!/Top!Dabi. If you have a question about your concept that is not answered by the guidelines, please feel free to DM me on Tumblr before donating! 

In addition, please note that 1k isn't a lot of words, so try to keep concepts simple enough to be executed within that amount of story! 

These drabbles also cannot be add-ons to other existing stories. For example, no drabble prompt can be for a story set after the end of Changing Currents, or an exploration of Dabi's time on the streets before Tomura adopted him in A Cat by Any Other Name. These are for stand-alone pieces in order to keep things simple and not conflict with the canon of my existing works! 

Can I donate more than $5 to get a longer story?

No. This is a drabble-a-thon! While you are welcome to donate however much you would like, every $5 only gets one 1k word story. If you would like to donate $10, then you are welcome to put two drabble prompts in your donation note which will then both enter the queue and be posted! Every multiple of 5 is eligible for a new prompt! 

If you would still like a longer story from me, then you can always DM me about setting up a full commission!

No problem! If you want to remain anonymous, simply put your name as "Anonymous" in for your name/nickname, and you can then type your prompt in the message box. You can send this message privately, and only I should be able to read your prompt!

Welcome to my Fandom Trumps Hate 2024 Crafts Bazaar stall!

What I'm Offering

A custom made, handbound book, fully typeset with a hard cover. Full color title page optional. Inclusion of full color fanart if permission is granted by the artist.

Depending on the length the fic, the book can be bound as either a foilio, quarto, or octavo.

For ease of binding, the fic should be < 150k words OR a collection of one-shots in the same range. (If the story is slightly over, there is some leeway here)

If you have specific design requests such as color scheme, cover design, decorative paper, etc. I am more than happy to work with your ideas! Final decisions will be made based on the materials I have access to.

Worldwide shipping! I am located in the US so if you will require international shipping let me know up front so I can plan for shipping costs and possible delays.

What I'll Bind

Your own work (fanfiction or original work)

Another author's work only if the author gives permission or has a public blanket permission statement for transformative works. Such a permission statement must be on their AO3 page or the site where they posted the fic. The bidder is responsible for obtaining permission for the story of their choice. (You can check here for a non-exhaustive list of authors/artists with blanket permission statements)

I will bind any fandom, ship, or rating with the caveat that you must be 18+ to receive an E rated work.

How It Works

The auction will run from Feb 29 to Mar 10 at 10 pm PST.

To enter the auction please fill out this google form.

You can check the current highest bidder on this spreadsheet.

I will contact the the winner by email within 24 hours after the auction ends.

Upon winning the auction you must donate the amount specified on your bid directly to one of Fandom Trumps Hate's listed nonprofits.

You will have until March 20th to send me proof of your donation.

Once I have received proof of donation, I will contact you to hash out the details of your project!

The final product will be shipped within 3-4 months. I will provide you with tracking info once it is available.

Welcome to RisingClan!

This is a Warrior Cats Fan Project based on the game ClanGen (@officialclangen ), basically my take on a warrior cats story inspired by a pixel game's events! Below are a list of resources for you, the reader. Please look over these resources before asking a question. Thank you for coming along for the ride, I hope you enjoy yourselves and feel welcome.

FAQ

Below the cut is a list of some of the questions I frequently receive and their answers. Please read this whole list before sending an ask as any questions already covered by the FAQ will be deleted.

Q: What happened to the Real Time gimmick? A: In October 2024, I had a mental breakdown because I was trying to do too many things to unrealistic standards. I took a hiatus for my mental health and, when I was ready to return, my readers voted that I should start posting as soon as possible rather than wait all year so I could resume the Real Time gimmick. From January 2025 on, posts are no longer posted on the day in canon when they happen.

Q: What are your ClanGen game settings? A: I play the Stable Version, Expanded Mode. I do not allow mass extinction events, romantic interactions with former mentors, or first cousins to be mates or have romantic interactions. Pregnancy does not ignore biology but same-sex adoption is increased. Cats are allowed to breed with cats that aren't their mates. Experience based graduation is turned on (although some of the story was played before it was an option), cats will never retire due to a permanent condition, and warriors and elders are able to choose to become mediators.

Q: Do the other Clans have safe files in your game? A: Yes, although I don't follow the events of those games as strictly as I do RisingClan. They are here to support RisingClan's story so if something that happens in another Clan would distract from the story or changing an event might better tell the story then I will change that event. However, the City Cats do not have a save file as most of them are created specifically for plot purposes. I have a save file I use to help generate sprites/design ideas for the City Cats but I don't follow the events or relationships in it at all.

Q: Will you show us the character sprites/relationship tabs? A: No, I won't. I was more open to the idea when I started this blog but as things went on I realized that I preferred the freedom of not having to stay strictly to the sprites in my designs, especially now that I'm making RisingClan genetically accurate. As well, some sprites contain spoilers like missing limbs that I don't want to share. I also play so far in advance that it isn't possible for me to show you everyone's relationship tabs since that data is no longer accessible once a cat dies. Also I got a new computer and now I can't get ClanGen to work so I couldn't access my files if I tried. :(

Q: How are the RisingClan cats genetically accurate? A: I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of the genotypes of every cat in RisingClan (and some of the cats outside of RisingClan) and whenever kits are born I make sure that the kits are possible given the parents involved. Because ClanGen is not genetically accurate, I will be deviating from the sprites when necessary but I also intend to edit my save files to be genetically accurate when I have the time so that we don't drift too far from the sprites over the generations.

Q: What art program do you use? A: I use ClipStudio Paint (a friend bought me the full version a while ago) and I love it. Highly recommend if you have the money (or if you can find it um.. second hand, as it were).

Q: Why hasn't my ask been posted yet? A: All answered asks are put into the queue and spaced out to pad the space between writing pieces. If I am receiving a lot of asks, it may take a couple weeks for your specific ask to get posted. If that time goes by and I still haven't answered it, I probably deleted the question because it was already answered by the FAQ, it made me uncomfortable, or it was needlessly antagonistic.

Bonus: You made a typo in the last piece! I appreciate people pointing out typos for me since I don't have any beta readers but I also don't like posting those corrections very much. If you see a typo, please send it in an ask but know that once I see it and fix the typo, I will delete the ask. This means that if there are any questions or comments you want me to see and post, they need to be in a separate ask from the typo correction or I will delete them. I don't want to delete your lovely comments so make sure you send a separate ask!

Thank you for your answer about worshipping canonically "evil" figures! You mention getting to know them, and I was wondering how one goes about connecting with a deity like that? Don't worry about the rambling, I like long and detailed answers.

Generally, the step and step is actually pretty simple. For the sake of example, I'm going to once again use Molag Bal's name as example where needed.

Call upon them and state your intent and what you're willing to do now. As in, you would call upon Molag Bal, state something like "I want to learn about you to decide if I wish to worship you, I am willing to make offering and interact with you, but nothing further at this time." or whatever it is you're actually willing to do. If you don't want to make offering, that's fine, some find that only for those they worship.

As for how to call upon them, stating their name and a title of theirs (even if it's self-assigned) gets their attention pretty easily. Like "Molag Bal, Protector of the Abused..." gets His attention for me pretty easily.

Take some time to state your direct boundaries. This can be anything, and some things to consider are:

what spaces of your home they are and aren't welcome in (ex. welcome in the kitchen, but not your bedroom or bathroom)

where/when they shouldn't try to interact with you (ex. at the workplace)

what kinds of signs you don't want from them (ex. spiders)

what kinds of signs you do want from them (ex. a specific amount of the same bird in your yard or something like that)

what you're not willing to do as devotional / give as offering (ex. making donations due to lack of expendable funds, or offering blood)

what kind of relationship you are and aren't willing to have

any interaction boundaries like "don't joke about xyz" or "don't tease me"

And anything else you deem necessary to your relationship. Don't worry about covering everything immediately, because if you realize something makes you uncomfortable later on, you can just state it as it happens.

It's also good to discuss things like whether or not you'll be building a shrine, and what kind of shrine they should expect from you if so. Digital shrines are as valid as physical shrines, just to make sure that's clear.

As well, expect to be given boundaries for you to follow as well. Gods have boundaries too, and they might not want certain offerings, devotionals, kinds of conversations, being leaned on for specific things, the works.

Actively engage with the entity and welcome them into your life. You won't get anywhere if you never interact with them or push them out of your life. Permit them to actually be in your life and interact back.

Make a devotional playlist, listen to it and see how it makes you feel. Use tarot or another method to speak to them. Meditate on their presence. Use automatic writing to have a conversation.

Don't endure more than you're willing to, so don't force yourself to make devotionals you don't want to or offerings you don't want to make. Don't make yourself interact 24/7 either.

Learn about them slowly over your experiences with them. Don't be afraid to back out at any time should you decide it needs to end, but be honest with the entity that the relationship is ending now, because they might not leave otherwise.

Bonding with any entity doesn't come overnight, it comes over time of existing with them and interacting with them. But this is how I've started each of my new relationships with any specific entity, and I hope it helps you out, too!

I learned Molag Bal slowly over time, though for me it didn't take me too long to trust Him. Because I could feel that He had kindness for me and wanted to treat me well. But I did take some time at the least to work through it and gain trust myself.

We have a couple of announcements about matchmaking, group bids, our Discord server, bid confirmations, and auction spotlights:

We have an extensive tag list and fantastic search/filter tools that we encourage bidders to use to find the auction of their dreams. If, however, you can't find what you're looking for or your request is niche enough that you're not sure which auctions would be a good match, fill out our matchmaking request form. Just make sure that you follow the guidelines on the form. The matchmaking spreadsheet is a great way for bidders to discover creators they may not have otherwise known about or considered before and creators to get their names out there.

Creators, you can look at all the submitted requests here. If you see one that catches your eye, indicate your interest and feel free to contact the bidder if you have any questions or want to discuss the idea. If all the spots are filled for a request, contact us and we'll add more. Please read the instructions page on the spreadsheet carefully before perusing the prompts.

If you want to bid on a creator but aren’t sure you can compete with other bidders, we allow pod bids (aka group bids). Pod bids are when you and another person (or a group) want to combine efforts and bid as a collective for an auction. One representative per group must be responsible for coordinating the bid and submitting all the donation receipts by our donation deadline: November 2 at 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?). You can find more info about them here.

If you’d like to announce your pod bid so people can join your group, contact us and give us the pod bid organizer's name and contact info, the auction the bid is for, and a description of your prompt (e.g., "Sam/Bucky rivals-to-lovers non-powered AU fic where Sam gets amnesia, forgets that he doesn't like Bucky, and falls in love with him" or "Art of MCU Nebula & Tony playing Mario Kart"). We'll add it to our pod bid list, which we update daily. If you have a pod bid in mind, make sure that the creator indicated that they're open to pod bids for the auction you're interested in and contact them first to see if they're okay with your prompt idea, especially if it’s a sequel for an existing work.

Our Discord server is a great place to hang out at during Auction Week. In addition to meeting new friends, you can match with bidders/creators and organize pod bids. We have a #matchmaking channel where bidders and creators can discuss details, flesh out ideas, and connect and a #pod-bids-chat channel to announce and discuss pod bids. Come join the fun!

If you want to check whether your bid(s) went through after they’re placed, we’d like to remind you about the "Bids" tab, located to the right of the "Description" tab on every auction on our site. After you place a bid, simply refresh the page and click on the tab; if your bid was submitted successfully, you’ll be able to see your username and bid amount there even if you don’t get a bid confirmation email.

Last but not least, we’ll be making auction spotlight posts throughout the week to let “smaller” auctions shine. We hope that this will make it easier for people to learn about and find certain work types and offerings that may otherwise slip under the radar. One of the best things about the Marvel fandom is the diversity in talent, skills, characters, and relationships—and we want to celebrate that.
