My partner just sent me the Red Flags video while I was watching a movie and said "pause what you're doing, we NEED to watch this" and I legit screamed when I saw what it was- THE VIDEO IS SO GOOD and I can't get over how well you can draw expressions? Plus I haven't laughed this much at an animatic/animation for a while. ...Okay, I forgot where I was going with this halfway through writing the message but I just wanted to say I love Buttons and your friend's OC Val and your art is SO DAMN GOOD, seeing that video made my entire day aaah-

For those just coming in, Val (the redhead girl in these videos) is my friend @wafflii's OC! And the waiter with the French accent was based on an old character @cameronaugust 's sister made up when they were kids playing with dolls: Phoebe Polyester (or as I like to call him, Febee). He's an aspiring actor/model and an editor to a nudist magazine.

The Commander's first encounter with Cerus goes very differently.

Commander is not referred to with any gendered language but has a vagina. No references to race either, but this fic only really works for Sylvari, Human, or Norn, sorry.

Looks like the dev scattered little bits of Kryptis lore for us around Nayos!

Especially interesting to me was Febe's memories of his first meeting with Peitha, and what looks like the aftermath of Kanaxai's assassination of Mosyn, who was previously only mentioned in Kanaxai's Axe description, also named Last Words.

They were all connected in the end, neato.

Mosyn holds a celebration or a rally at the coliseum, protesting the Nightmare King

Febe is attending, but not leading it. Was Mosyn to Febe, what Febe is to Peitha?

Little Peitha watched from the distance but was too shy to join (or scared-- perhaps she knew what was coming?) and runs off

Kanaxai was given orders from Aurkus, his house's founder/leader, to assassinate Mosyn. Cerus approves (Note 'the Glaive' and 'Heitor's envy', it was probably Cerus we heard in the Silent Surf Fractal then).

Kanaxai 'slices (Mosyn) in twine' and disappears before Febe could get back at him.

Febe lays Mosyn's remains to rest and grieves her.

Peitha finds him again one day, when she's grown a bit older, and expresses her similarly defiant ideology to Febe.

We also get one more confirmation that Peitha is directly related to Eparch-- The Midnight King's kin.

Febe and Kaerr a couple decades into the future of the story, when everything has settled down a fair bit. they're catching up while Febe's visiting between her many adventures :] She's got plenty of stories!

Thoughts but is the reason why Deimos (who would still have been rather 'young') was able to kill Febe (who was not only much older but also allegedly massive) because Febe knew Deimos was being manipulated by Eparch?

After all, it's something Febe would have learned from both Peitha and Cerus, as he was their mentor and hero respectively, and would likely have been aware of their lives being raised by Eparch.

Febe would have easily been able to kill Deimos, I think, but did he refrain because he didn't want to play into Eparch's twisted games, or did he not want to kill someone he could have seen as 'innocent' in all of this as it was Eparch's fault he became that way? Or both?

He would rather choose to die upholding what he (and Mosyn) believed in than live and become just another piece of Eparch's twisted society.
