FATE CRIMES AGAINST FLORA ARE AS FOLLOWS: they shouldn't have made her white, and they shouldn't have made her fat. The first bit was racist, the second one they couldn't handle. If you want plus size rep, um... having the character obsess over her weight, have everyone bring it up or make passive aggressive remarks and her HORRIBLY overcompensating for it is not the way. Jesus, just let the girl be big! There are ways to do it, such as Nina Zenik in shadow and bone (some say that she's not as big as in the books, but she none the less is still bigger than other actresses) or Alvida in One Piece live action (which was actually a great example of taking a horrible example and fixing it so much- I am in love with that woman she's so. fuckin. CUTE). Let her be pretty! And I saw be and not feel because although she needs to FEEL pretty, duh, Fate clearly didn't want her to be either. Everyone else got some sort of styling, however bad it was- her they just let her walk around like I do when I am on a 3am quest for instant noodles. Clothes like a tent, no makeup, hair flat- STYLE THE GIRL. WINX IS ABOUT STYLE. God I'll attach the photo, nowhere else can you see how much the show hates her then when the girls are going to that ball in season 2, hol up- there look at it. Wtf is this?? They didn't even put her in a fucking SUIT at least! Next to BLOOM? Who, like always, looks like she ate a lemon, but at least the dress looked nice? (Stella wouldn't be caught dead in the abomination that is her dress) Ofc, all of this is just secondary to the fact that none of us are dumb and we know full well this is flora and they just pulled terra out of their asses to justify the whitewashing. The "other" Flora that entered in season 2 was so forgettable I barely remember her, but she was a slash between being annoying herself, and drawing the worst out of white flora. It was so... eh.

alright i don't like bloom but why was it never touched on after the first couple episodes that her adoptive mum was an abusive nightmare?? she literally took bloom's door away because she didn't like bloom's hobbies. bloom wasn't even acting out or causing problems afaik she just liked her own company so her mum took her door away?? and basically said "if you try to defend yourself you'll hsve no privacy for longer". then when she's on the phone with bloom in later episodes she's all smiles and "i love yous". fake fucking shitty ass bitch.

And about Farah and Marion (Bloom's biological mother in Winx Club), the author said that the mother is Farah. But Farah was just a false identity created by Marion, breaking all the continuity of the series.

Is Farah Bloom's mother? Yes and no, Marion is, it's just that Farah was a fake identity. She probably thought Bloom and Farah were mother and daughter, and wanted to do this, but Rainbow (the creators of Winx Club) didn't allow it, so she combined Farah's and Marion's identities, thereby destroying Farah's character.

Farah is an easter egg to Faragonda (Winx Club character), the director of Alfea.

In the graphic novel, the name Oritel is mentioned, which is the name of Bloom's biological father in Winx Club.

The graphic novel is VERY POORLY written.

The author knows absolutely nothing about Winx Club, a very serious error, which demonstrates her incompetence.

The ship between Silva and Farah is destroyed with the graphic novels.

It would have been easier to do nothing, and not combine characters.

The author only saw the first season in depth, a season that was which was corrected in the second. It should have been based solely on what was established in the second.

Plus, she ignored Flora's cliffhanger.

So true, so true. I do love the Farah & Bloom mother-daughter thing but the comic does reflect the shoddy writing of the show too lol

Essentially from what I can remember, Farah and Saul and fighting (like specialists not like yelling lol) and they end up kissing. Sky and Riven see them and think Saul is kissing a student because they can’t see it’s Farah.

Another gripe about Fate the Winx saga

IS TERRA I would have been fine with her if her character wasn’t so bland in comparison to Flora in the cartoons

I mean seriously look at Penelope in Bridgerton I LOVED HER SO MUCH I enjoyed seeing her on screen, I thought she was adorable and cute and beautiful (note I didn’t finish season 1 of bridgerton I couldn’t get past the episode where he licked his ice cream). They could have just made Flora with her personality, her charm, her vibe and then make her plus sized I would have been fine with it. It would not be a problem. BUt nooooo they made this redundant character instead and not only redundant but also boring to watch. 

Then they went and brought Flora to the show while fucking up her character

Saul, in a misguided strategy to get back in Sky's good graces and remind his son of who he truly is, decides to ditch the military haircut and go for the Zac Efron circa 2010 hair. Safe to say Sky is less than impressed

the fact they took Lord Darkar, one of the sickest and most amazing character designs to ever exist in this show and made him into a bland tumblrsexyman. A BOOTLEG VERSION OF A TUMBLR SEXYMAN NOT EVEN ONE OF THE GOOD ONES. Winx the fate saga is heresy and under my rule i will wipe every trace of it out of the face of the earth.
