FATE CRIMES AGAINST FLORA ARE AS FOLLOWS: they shouldn't have made her white, and they shouldn't have made her fat. The first bit was racist, the second one they couldn't handle. If you want plus size rep, um... having the character obsess over her weight, have everyone bring it up or make passive aggressive remarks and her HORRIBLY overcompensating for it is not the way. Jesus, just let the girl be big! There are ways to do it, such as Nina Zenik in shadow and bone (some say that she's not as big as in the books, but she none the less is still bigger than other actresses) or Alvida in One Piece live action (which was actually a great example of taking a horrible example and fixing it so much- I am in love with that woman she's so. fuckin. CUTE). Let her be pretty! And I saw be and not feel because although she needs to FEEL pretty, duh, Fate clearly didn't want her to be either. Everyone else got some sort of styling, however bad it was- her they just let her walk around like I do when I am on a 3am quest for instant noodles. Clothes like a tent, no makeup, hair flat- STYLE THE GIRL. WINX IS ABOUT STYLE. God I'll attach the photo, nowhere else can you see how much the show hates her then when the girls are going to that ball in season 2, hol up- there look at it. Wtf is this?? They didn't even put her in a fucking SUIT at least! Next to BLOOM? Who, like always, looks like she ate a lemon, but at least the dress looked nice? (Stella wouldn't be caught dead in the abomination that is her dress) Ofc, all of this is just secondary to the fact that none of us are dumb and we know full well this is flora and they just pulled terra out of their asses to justify the whitewashing. The "other" Flora that entered in season 2 was so forgettable I barely remember her, but she was a slash between being annoying herself, and drawing the worst out of white flora. It was so... eh.

alright i don't like bloom but why was it never touched on after the first couple episodes that her adoptive mum was an abusive nightmare?? she literally took bloom's door away because she didn't like bloom's hobbies. bloom wasn't even acting out or causing problems afaik she just liked her own company so her mum took her door away?? and basically said "if you try to defend yourself you'll hsve no privacy for longer". then when she's on the phone with bloom in later episodes she's all smiles and "i love yous". fake fucking shitty ass bitch.

And about Farah and Marion (Bloom's biological mother in Winx Club), the author said that the mother is Farah. But Farah was just a false identity created by Marion, breaking all the continuity of the series.

Is Farah Bloom's mother? Yes and no, Marion is, it's just that Farah was a fake identity. She probably thought Bloom and Farah were mother and daughter, and wanted to do this, but Rainbow (the creators of Winx Club) didn't allow it, so she combined Farah's and Marion's identities, thereby destroying Farah's character.

Farah is an easter egg to Faragonda (Winx Club character), the director of Alfea.

In the graphic novel, the name Oritel is mentioned, which is the name of Bloom's biological father in Winx Club.

The graphic novel is VERY POORLY written.

The author knows absolutely nothing about Winx Club, a very serious error, which demonstrates her incompetence.

The ship between Silva and Farah is destroyed with the graphic novels.

It would have been easier to do nothing, and not combine characters.

The author only saw the first season in depth, a season that was which was corrected in the second. It should have been based solely on what was established in the second.

Plus, she ignored Flora's cliffhanger.

Help finding fic!

Hello all, I read a fanfiction awhile ago that was Farah x Saul and can’t for the life of me find it again. If you happen to know what I’m talking about please let me know! It would be greatly appreciated!

Essentially from what I can remember, Farah and Saul and fighting (like specialists not like yelling lol) and they end up kissing. Sky and Riven see them and think Saul is kissing a student because they can’t see it’s Farah.

Man I'm in no rush to make the decision or anything, but a lot of the time lately, I've come to think that I don't believe I am in a place in my life where I can - for the long run - provide the lovebirds with a long term home that provides them with the life I think they deserve. I provide a good one, and definitely one better than either of them had in the past - but I know there are people with a more stable life style, more space, and what not that could probably give them a better life than I can.

The issue is, finding a new home for a parrot that is actually GOOD and honest about it and not just planning to use them for breeding or re-sale is horrifying. As far as I'm concerned, while I am not happy with the quality of life I can currently provide for them, I am also aware I am probably a better and safer option than most people I could probably find to potentially rehome them to - and I would rather give them a "below what they deserve and could have" life than risk having them thrown back into the hell that is being in the pet trade or owned by someone who can't care for them.

They're fine and happy and all and there aren't any *issues*, but I do know things I would like to be able to provide them that I simply can't at the moment or necessarily can in any relative soon future.

And it honestly just upsets me how hostile and dangerous the pet trade is for parrots. I'm also not going to pretend we don't have trauma relating to the pet trade as well and I'm just ":/"

Cause I love these lesbian lovebirds, I really do and I want the best for them. If I knew I could find them a home that could do better than me, I would pay someone to adopt them. The issue is though, lovebirds are probably one of the most common "breeder" birds and a non-negligible part of me would rather die than see them thrown into that life.

I choose to not think about it too much cause its not a current issue I have to make, and the truth is - I'm just being a mother hen about my birds cause again, there isn't anything *wrong* and there isn't an issue, I just... ya know, want the best for them and currently, I think I am the best for them.

I just honestly really wish I wasn't cause I know I could be doing a lot better and it's honestly just sad.

“I’m going to ask one more time. Where were you?”

Soft, strained breaths puffed against the cracked stone as strong, manicured hands, marred by the jagged lines of war, pressed against the wall on either side of him.

“I said, I don’t remember,” he gritted again through clenched teeth. Sweat dripped down his forehead, tracing cooling lines of strain into his beard as he writhed and tugged against the tendrils binding his mind, holding all of his limbs in place like prey that had already been led to slaughter. He was well aware that wasn’t far from the truth.

She made a small tutting sound near his ear. “Shame. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to resort to using this…” He swallowed a soft whimper when the tip of a crimson-stained blade slid slowly over the delicate skin under his ear to the pulse point of his neck. “Oh, who are we kidding, my good little soldier,” she sighed, the touch was a gentle caress and an oddly pleasurable sensation coming from the woman who was now in front of him with that seductively sadistic smile. “We’re both dying for me to.”

It was so distracting that Andreas barely noticed when the blade carved a small slice up his cheek. All of her movements were deliberate, calculated. Even now, Rosalind used every move and weapon to her advantage.

She dragged a blood-stained finger first over his cheek then slowly down his neck, and lightly over his bare chest where she led the painted trail to a stop right over his heart.

“Such a perfect, docile soldier. Always carrying out my commands. And yet…” The knife was back, resting just below Andreas’ bare navel with a slight pressure that revealed a new well of blood, a dark contrast against his fair skin. “And yet. He can’t answer a simple question.”

That voice, that captivating voice that lilted like delicate lace yet commanded like forged steel was enough to push Andreas over the edge right then. He could feel it there, tingling at the base of his spine, raging through the nerve endings in his core. But he held it at bay.

“Please I- I told you that-” he broke off with a groan as that tongue, that familiar, sinful tongue that had reprimanded him so many times, began to take the crimson path from his blood-stained cheek, descending slowly along his pulse, and lingering maddeningly over the beat of his raging heart. Where that long, deliciously wet trail soaked the hair on his chest and ignited a blazing inferno that consumed his very being.

“Shh,” she rose up to meet his gaze. “What are you hiding from me? Why can’t you tell me where you were when I was brought back, hm?”

Again she moved, predatory and possessive, down his body, maintaining eye contact with Andreas as she placed a soft hand on his sticky, red cheek while the other crept slowly, painfully slowly down his body until, eventually, Andreas could feel Rosalind’s palm run over where he ached the most.

“Now, I’m going to give you one final chance,” A primal, almost animalistic feeling of pleasure shot up Andreas’ spine, which left him moaning and desperate to arch into the palm of his captor with no chains. His torturer with no pain. 

“Why was the Dragon Flame the one who was there to free me instead of you?” And that's when he couldn't take it anymore, when he fell apart. When he broke and poured himself, bloody and shivering and spent, into her waiting palms.

So the FtWS kink meme is over and I wrote far too much, but that seems to have just left my brain running on overdrive or maybe I’m trying to avoid work I don’t want to deal with, and apparently that’s translated as getting a proper start on this madness. No clue how this will go — I don’t usually write longer fics — but considering I actually have a framework going in this time, I’m guardedly optimistic. (Now watch me take a decade to write it. 😭)

As a tease, the first ~200 words until I decide to change them all later:

It begins, as so much of her life has, with an ending.

In some ways, it feels as if she, too, has spent the last sixteen years in limbo, waiting for what feels now like an inevitable confrontation. Part of her had always known there would be a reckoning when they sealed Rosalind away in the undercroft, but there is an immediacy to that now … and as she stands here, breathing in the scent of newly turned earth and flowers just blossomed, it isn’t hard to discern why.

Alfea feels it too, a disquiet rippling through the surroundings and reverberating through her. Looking back, she realises the first whisper of this had come at the start of term, with Bloom’s arrival and the shepherd’s death. They had both known this was coming, she and this land — a shift, she’d told Saul, a whispered fear in the unquiet night — but it had been too easy to pretend, to ignore. The past has caught up with them, and now a long-delayed forfeit must be paid.

So me messing around.

So I got boarded and decided to mess around with a setting that isn’t mine.

Fate: a winx saga.

So first of a disclaimer I have not watched the second season yet. But this was just me doing something for three hours yesterday afternoon.

So let’s preface this with my thoughts on the show… it’s fine for what it is. I enjoyed watching it but am also firmly of the opinion that it doesn’t need to be connected to the Winx ip. Would have been fine as an edgy teen drama about fairies. And for all the genuine fans of the series I feel bad for the lack of a third season.

In the meantime I’ll have my fun.

So that map. The map of the other world that was provided. I appreciate that in this version of winx we get a map as the original series place soft and loose with locations and space (Is this new location a planet? A continent, a single kingdom? Who knows!) but the map is also very bare bones and the two versions of it contradicts itself. So I drew a map based on these two maps. There is a hint of two other continents on the globe version so I drew some speculative version of the other parts of the continents.

So I’m trying to stick somewhat closely to the canon of Fates. But I still change some things.

Two changes to basic lore about magic I added an element, darkness, it’s a relatively rare element and fairies with the power of darkness have a reputation.

- power of darkness- fear, shadow manipulation and travel, shadow creatures summoning, shadow forms. temporary blindness, curses, perception manipulation, pull and push objects. Darkness and light are closely related and they appear to have some overlap.

Change two, witches: witches are non fairies so are not born with that elemental magic so gifted to the fairies. Instead in order to do magic they rely on complex rituals and formulas (essentially to do magic they are solving complex math equations or study art) then there are blood witches, witches who’s “element” is blood and steal the magic of fairies. Both kinds of witches are illegal in Solaria, but outside of solaria regular witches are quite common.

Now there’s only five realms, the realms are the equivalent of an empire. There are also several other smaller countries.

Long ago there was one large realm called Domino, it’s territory was that of all the five realms centuries ago. It fell to ruin during the dominion wars.

Eventually through numerous conflicts the many realms came to be.

- solaria: politically the most powerful of the five realms. Under the iron rule of the solarian monarchy and home to the elite Alfea college

Cities: Majix (capital), Polaris, dyamond(a city full of gangs, vice and crime, essentially a semi legal criminal haven) zenith (a tec savvy city, the silicone valley of the otherworld)

National symbol: the moon eclipsing the sun

National animal: unicorn

Exports: phones, military gear, paper, wool, textiles, glass.

Locations of interest: celestial dam (largest hydroelectric dam in the world), omega prison, crystal expanse, rainbow arches, ruins of domino. Sea of sand dunes,

- elakrion: know for its warrior culture. Long time rival to solaria and oposium but will supply mercenaries to any side that pays. Often has pirate problems from andros.

Cities: hatchet, fortress

National symbol: two crossed swords

National animal: carnage wyverns

Exports: mercenaries, weapons, wheat.

Locations of interest: golden auditorium (college), ruins of havram

- lymphea: natural wounder covered in lush dense jungle, rich diversity of plants and animals. Rumor has it that powerful relics hidden away deep in the jungle.

Cities: linepia

National symbol: the tree of life

National animal: moss magiwolfs

Exports: wood, spices, exotic ingredients, plants and animals magic items. Medicine

Locations of interest: tree of life, torquise sholes, sea of shimmering flowers, the deep jungle

- Iris: a land dotted with powerful city states but overrun by outlaws. Sees itself as the true heir of Domino’s might. Probably could be if the council of cities could agree on anything for more than a minute. The bread basket of the world. Echos of the army of darkness still scar the land.

Cites: emerald, saphira, ónix, citri, topaz, amathisia, Rubia.

National symbol: a stylized flower with seven colored diamond shaped petals.

National animal: dream eater butterfly

Exports: ores, gemstones, cereals, produce.

Locations of interest: the white mountains, sun fields, scorched run.

-oposium: bitter rivals to solaria. They jump at any opportunity to prove their superiority. Home to the prestigious cloud tower.

National symbol: three purple eyes

National animal: ghoul spiders

Exports: witch made items, magic scrolls,

Locations of interest: cloud tower (a citadel of libraries, mazes, and witches. The tower is known to amplify the powers of air fairies. And has long been used for long distance communications, now it’s just a glorified cell tower)

-Callisto: a popular destination for tourists and vacationers, with idealized beaches and plenty of resorts. There is also ski resorts in the mountains to the west.

- dolona: an island nation, it has a long history of being occupied by other realms but has a vibrant culture and is quite well off now days even though elakrion military, has a quiet but not unknown presence.

- Promethia: southern neighbor to elakrion and lymphea

- hoggar: a militaristic county that is most concerned with deafening itself from hostile neighbors (elakrion, solaria, andros) well known for housing great libraries and mountain monasteries. Home to the forgers college.

- andros: a realm in all but name. The place is full of islands and is well known for it’s pirates and privateers. Has a lot of water fairies. This land is home to the mermaids.

Cities: Neptune, Posidious, Oceanus, typhon

Locations of interest: black islands, omega portal, islands of nadur, nantros, guanaco.

- melody: a beautiful country known for its ancient history and having many talented musicians who have made many magical instruments. There are a lot of mind fairies from this country

Locations of interest: the pillars of harmony (the largest stone circle of the world.) the stone army (an army of petrified warriors that range from melody out to the quartz step.

-espero: neighbor to romelea and hoggar. It is a bright place known for its large cites, expertise in air and light magic and being the best with barrier magic.

-karunda: a country that is next to Promethius and elakrion

-romelea: a viberant county that is known for its beautiful textiles and metallurgy

-koria: a small country next to the islands of rot, orez and fallat

- avelon: a nation that is old enough to have remembered when domino was at the hight of its power.

Cities: nympi, asgort, elfim

-Ev: small poor country who’s ruling family is cursed

-nations of nymphs: a loose alliance of near three dozen tiny countries

Cities: minth, areandous, daphne, tylin, capipso, cirsis

-pador: home to the forest of oblivion and the guard house of the books of legendarium

-polaris: cold and far north, was once home to domino as well but the land was covered in eternal glaciers from a spell that the legion of light used to seal up some of the army of darkness. It’s icy landscape is why Polaris is not a realm in and if itself.

- shade guardians ( bipedal four armed one horned wolf like creatures)

Ice serpent, a creature only found on polariz, highly terrestrial with an icy breath

Storm harpies: an ancient cursed caused by darkness magic they only live in lymphea and andros

Shimmer shells: rare valuable sea shells only found in the oceans of andros.

Hydra lizards: lizards with multiple heads

Quill cats: cats with tails full of sharp thorns

Fairy hunters: a menice in the first world, a creation of the nation of hoggar, to combat fairies that where sent to hoggar from solaria. Nowadays they are a secret order that kills dangerous fairies

Night children: also called vampires. They can be fairies but also others. They are rare and have been around since before the dominian war.

Kelpie: shapeshifting water monsters

Dragons: nowadays rare creatures but there is a large variety of them.

Also ngl kinda funny Sokka's actor claims the essence of Sokka is still there in the live action show, when the actor himself is from a tribe that is not recognized federally and has been described as false by three recognized Cherokee tribes (the Cherokee Nation, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians). So don't know what the fuck he means by Sokka's essence is still in the live action, because they couldn't even stick to Sokka being indigenous.
