#some more screenshots from my hardcore world <3 it's going good#built that tree from the last two pictures today :3 it's no bdubs level of course but i like how it turned out!#i think im slowly getting better at custom trees and building in general! happy#that building on the uhhh 6th image is my favorite so far! it houses my bee farm and it's so cool and vibrant and funky!!! loving it#the building on the 3rd image is also pretty good. it's an inn with a restaurant on the 1st floor and villager housing on the 2nd!#it's cozy in there but on the outide i think it could do with a bit more dress up. that part of the town is still in development so im sure#it'll come together eventually! like. with another house across the street and maybe some banner lines between them it's gonna look great#i also took that screenshot with my normal playing fov and not the low-good-for-screenshots fov so. yknow#welp. that's it for now i think#mining and building and also crafting#<- made the tag for it finally! check it out if you wanna; there's the previous set of screenshots as well#yagotalk

This is going to sound so stupid but I only today realised that a significant number of people like....look down on retail & service industry work.

Does she like the work?#& he scathingly said#'well. its cafe work'#I feel stupid! This should be obvious!! I know people treat service industry workers like shit!#I guess my mammy - who raised me on her wages from 5 jobs at a time including everything from#Cross border peace development work to cleaning bedrooms in a b&b -#Simply did too good a job teaching me that any job worth doing is worth doing well. Has inherent dignity. Etc.#Also I have many friends who prefer being baristas to like. High paid lab work#Also i'm from a rural area where farm work is considered the Real Work& everything else is just filling in the gaps#And I grew up surrounded by teachers & civil servants & nurses who would pull a few shifts at a bar or hotel to make ends meet#So. I never really computed that some of this work is considered lesser.#tthat the people who do it are consdjered lesser by some.#And not just by outrageous snobs. By like. #farming is NOT the enemy this country has been farmed for thousands of years but it's HOW we farm that decides everything#im sick of seeing massive fields with nothing to break up the monoculture. put some hedgerows back in that thang#it also mentions an (at least) 30% reduction in meat consumption that we must make to help achieve a healthy ecology#miserably the labour gov have not yet commited to the wildlife subsidy budget that previously fuelled this progress for this year#they clearly couldnt give less of a rats fart about the countryside or the environment if they tried.#anyway. this is still a GOOD development and if this government is sane (doubtful) they will commit to continuing#we must support our farmers bc otherwise farms will revert to intensive agriculture out of necessity or be sold off for development#ukpol
