As a humble admirer of Everything Yandere and of the inner workings of the sick and twisted minds of loving, lovesick maniacs and of their warped and muddled perceptions of love and intimacy, I pose you the question: What type, kind, flavor, species of Yandere is Ren/Redacted? I've gone through the asks on the blog answering what lovesick and yearning behaviors he goes through, why he does them, what they mean to him — but can we go deeper? What disturbing things does Ren do, be it for his own twisted satisfaction and perception of "love", be it to those he sees as threats to his Angel? What are his limits, where does he draw the line, how far is he willing to go to get what he wants, and who is he willing to hurt and how? Where does he draw the line when it comes to Angel? I know he would never physically hurt them, but what kind of mental warfare would he inflict on them to get them where he wants? Are we talking isolation, manipulation, gaslighting, brainwashing? And if so, how does that happen?

I'd be very very happy if you'd be okay with going into this analysis — and would it be possible to answer the Yandere Alphabet for Ren? Thank you for blessing me with this mess of a boy and sowwy for the ramble ♡ ♡ Tell Ren to clean up the bloodstains he left earlier ♡

⌞♥⌝ Because I get this question a lot, I personally feel like I've answered it to the fullest possible extent that I can gdkfgjdj ^^; So if you haven't already seen them, I reccomend going through these asks: one, two, three, four, and five!

The "disturbing" things Ren would do to his victims have been answered more or less in a few of the asks mentioned above.

Ren honestly doesn't have any major limits aside from physically harming or forcing himself onto Angel in any way. He doesn't find any pleasure in doing so, nor would he ever want to turn out like his father — much less subject the only person he genuinely cares about to the same things he had to endure as a child.

Ren also doesn't really draw the line anywhere — again, aside from upsetting Angel in any way — so anything is fair game when it comes to everyone else. But speaking as his creator for a moment, I will say that Ren is not the type to harm babies, animals, abandon his own/Angel's children, force himself onto anyone, or coerce anyone into sexual activities in order to get what he wants. That's icky af and I'm not rocking with it /gen /lh

On a slightly lighter topic, Ren is willing to go as far as necessary if it means having Angel rely on him and him only... So long as it keeps them happy at the same time. As much as he'd love to "remove" Angel's friends and family permanently, he won't entertain that thought if it'll make them upset. At most, he'd likely try non-lethal ways to get rid of them in hopes of keeping Angel happy (and oblivious).

One of Ren's major characteristics is that he's willing to change himself to suit Angel's needs, no matter how drastic it may be. If they find any sort of reliability or comfort in him by doing so, then he'll latch onto that notion and feed into it. By becoming someone Angel can trust and confide in, Ren would (potentially) be able to manipulate them and sway their thoughts... Almost like a metaphorical devil on their shoulder, in a sense lmao

I've said this a few times on this blog before, but Ren is the CEO of gaslighting and manipulation. He's down to try a bit of isolation if it's somehow possible to keep Angel happy while doing so, though I don't think Ren would be into mindwashing since he idolises, honours, and blindly trusts Angel's original thoughts more than his own. He wants them to genuinely develop feelings for him, not because he forced them to.

I've actually been asked to do the Yandere Alphabet by a few other people recently, so I'll get around to doing it sometime!! ^^

What canvas sizes do you usually work with? Depends on the drawing, but usually either A4 format (2480 x 3508 pixels) or a square canvas (ca 2000x2000 pixels). As a rule of thumb, I rarely go lower than 1000 pixels on either side. I always use 300 dpi.

Ishrah bends low to whisper in your ear as you stare blankly at your most recent candidate for a court position in the past two hours. A lady from a noble house, currently rambling in an uninterrupted monologue about past legal reforms to city limits on residential garden sizes.

ASSERTIVE & BLUNT

“That depends. Will the tea be able to get this clay-brained idiot to shut up long enough for me to hear myself think?”

Ishrah snorts so loudly that it actually catches the attention of the candidate.

“I beg your forgiveness, Your Imperial Majesty?” the candidate says, glancing between the two of you.

“You should,” you reply, pretending not to notice Ishrah clapping a hand over her mouth. “I feel as if I’m being made a fool of. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think this was someone’s idea of a joke.”

The candidate stares at you, uncomprehending. “I… ah…”

You stare back at her. “My lady, are you so slow that you can’t even tell when you’re being insulted? Why do you even want this position?”

“Spirits, please, yes.”

Ishrah giggles loud enough that it actually catches the attention of the candidate.

“Your Imperial Majesty?” the candidate says, glancing between the two of you.

“My lady,” you speak, very slowly, “you have been going on about garden sizes for the past half hour. What exactly do you think it is that the Imperial Court will legislate on this topic when the Empire is on the brink of ruin?”

The candidate clears her throat, shifting uncomfortably in her seat.

“No, please, continue,” you insist. “Tell me about the legal distinctions in legislation between gardens and courtyards, I’m sure it’s riveting! We’ll simply let Şevan figure itself out.”

She looks flustered, but then she actually takes you up on your insincere offer. You roll your eyes skywards. “Inner courtyards cannot be larger than half the size of the maximum limit for gardens, which—”

“I wish your tendency to speak was half the size of the empty cavern you call your head,” you reply in a bored tone, pretending not to notice Ishrah clapping a hand over her mouth. “Perhaps then you’d be quiet long enough to pick up on sarcasm. Why do you even want this position?”

PASSIVE & BLUNT

“Yes. Now. Immediately.”

You close your eyes and breathe in deep, counting to five in your head before exhaling. As frustrated as you are, and as clearly unfit as this candidate is, you shouldn’t take it out on her. There’s no need for insults, you should remain civil.

“My lady,” you speak slowly as you open your eyes again, “why do you want this position?”

The candidate stares at you, uncomprehending. “I… ah… the gardens—”

“For the love of the sky that embraces the mountains, forget about garden sizes.” You stare back at her. “Tell me, in clear terms: why do you want this position?”

If you hear one more word spoken about the legal limits of residential gardens in cities, you will throw yourself out the nearest window and run screaming across the Royal Gardens like a lunatic.

I thought season 7 was to be the last? What's this about the third arc?

So this past weekend at San Diego Comic Con, the crew confirmed the 'mythical 3rd arc' that we thought had been folded into arc 2 (S4—S5 being their own thing, and S6-S7 being the third arc) is actually still its own full blown thing. This would bring TDP to being a 10 season show in total, with three main arcs.

Previously, we thought S7 was the series finale, but it's been confirmed there are 3 more seasons planned after S7. This would constitute arc 3, and these still need to be greenlit. Whether Arc 2 will finish similarly to Arc 1 — most things wrapped up entirely with only a couple of loose threads — or on a big cliffhanger of sorts remains to be seen.

Arc 3 will likely feature another timeskip and focus on more magic lore / dealing with the Cosmic Order council that Aaravos seemingly wants to destroy.

The best thing to do is to rewatch S6 fully through consistently on Netflix (especially this first week / month), submit request forms to Netflix for seasons, review on sites on IMBD and Rotten Tomatoes, and use hashtags like #GiveUsTheSaga and #ContinueTheSaga on Twitter (and potentially tumblr).

why no asking for patterns??

It's irritating. Before I put the "Stop asking me about my patterns" note on my description, 80 percent of my asks/messages were just asking 1) where did you get the pattern 2) can i have the pattern 3) pattern? even though I'd already stated multiple times (and tagged accordingly) that I freehand everything and don't share any of my patterns. Even now I'm still getting a few people asking for patterns. A lot of them don't even follow me and have never interacted with me in any capacity; they act like I'm some AI bot they can demand things from. I love asks, but literally one week I had at least 8 different people asking me for patterns out of nowhere and that was so frustrating I finally put STOP ASKING ME ABOUT MY PATTERNS.

I don't even care if people dress it up with Hi Hello Love what You're Doing and smilies and offers to pay. You know what people will offer to pay for a pattern? $5 if it's good, maaaaybe $10 but then it should have pictures for pretty much every step or ooh a video tutorial too, and they should be able to ask questions and get personalized one-on-one help since they're paying So Much for just this one single pattern.

I'm spending around 7 hours and upwards of 16 hours on some of these crochets which is the "fun" part for me and I don't want to spend even another hour transcribing my notes for public consumption. Do you know how annoying it is for people to repeatedly ask you the same question that you've answered countless times? Random strangers who don't know anything about you just messaging you out of nowhere "Where's the pattern for this?" because they don't care enough to do a cursory search of my blog and find the answer. I'm not going out of my way to do something that I don't like to do for a pitiful amount of money for someone who, in all likelihood, will not even make the damn thing. That's the thing that would make a difference to me is if they actually showed that they would appreciate the time I put in, by putting in the time themselves to make something from a pattern I've already publicly shared here (go find it yourself though). There is exactly one person I know for sure I would share any pattern with, and maybe another 3 I would consider.

Honestly, it should be enough for me to say I DON'T WANT TO and that would be it! But no! People even now still message me saying "I read your description but please can you make an exception for me?" and the little thing in the conversation window reads "Not following each other" and I don't recall ever seeing them in my notes before that point and searching on their blog doesn't show that they'd ever reblogged or interacted with me before. Bonafide random fucker knows fuckall about me and yet they want me to do them a favor? There's so much casual entitlement in crocheting and crafts and I hate it.

In short, too many people asking when I already said no. People are impersonal and rude about it. it's not fun or worth it to me.

Is it okay to draw fan-arts of yandere Mychael? Also is it okay to ask questions about his future possessive behaviour? Or is it a spoiler and you will ignore questions of this kind?

I welcome any fan depiction of him! Even if he isn't canonically accurate it's fun to see people interpret him in their own ways!

As for asking about his yandere tendencies, yeah; I try to avoid those if it's too direct. Questions like: "Would he kill?" "Would he kidnap?" "Would he hurt?"

I understand it's the exciting part of a character being yandere, but you guys can use your imaginations for that haha! Besides it'll likely happen in the game one way or another and it's fun to keep people on their toes ::-)
