Okay- uh… unpopular opinion

Omegaverses have so much potential, but because of NSFW pieces it’s underused and under appreciated.

Like… you have the perfect opportunity to project the harshness of society yet the whole AU is ruined because some people get too comfortable with the idea of heats.

please i love you i'm begging you bring back suspension of disbelief bring back trusting the audience like. i cannot handle any more dialogue that sounds like a legal document. "hello, i am here to talk to you about the incident from a few minutes ago, because i feel you might be unwell, and i am invested in your personal wellbeing." "thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!

do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

crazy how fanfic authors drop the most beautiful and gorgeous pieces of work ever, leaving you speechless and sobbing at three in the morning as you quietly contemplate the masterpiece you just read

and they don’t get paid for it they just do it because they’re having fun and they want to share their joy with you

like I would literally die for all of you fanfic authors out there reblog to swear your allegiance to fanfic authors

I, of mostly sound body and spirit, request that if I’m ever to die, someone post a new work on my AO3 that says “sorry, she died, ongoing stories postponed forever” because don’t I want my fanfic buddies to think I ghosted them. Amen or whatever you say in a will.

Imagine you're opening AO3 and search for a fic. Imagine you're finding one that fits all your criterias. Imagine it has the perfect length. Imagine getting lost in the story and feeling almost high when it's over. Imagine looking up the author and they have written. so. many. more. fics. exactly. like. that. Imagine.

Let me be clear..

Omegaverses can be sfw! Absolutely they can!

Even with traditional dynamics they can be sfw (as in lemon- not violence and dark themes.)

But they’re so much better if they don’t follow the traditional dynamics.

I’ve written a transformers Omegaverse we’re it’s just about Bee (an Omega) absolutely destroying stereotypes.

Which includes destroying Smokescreen in a training session.

Is it nsfw? It’s dark and has more mature themes, but certainly ain’t a lemon.

Also I have no shame in the type of Fanfictions I write.

I have a lot of AUs, but the one I like to tackle the most is an Omegaverse because they get such a bad wrap.

I highly recommend you try to write an Omegaverse without any lemons! If you’re left with a compelling story, then you’re doing great! If you’re left with a nothing story then you’re a PWP writer, sorry dude.
