In This Darkness: Xander and Lily used to be best friends, back when he first showed up at the Potter Manor without memory of his past, but that was before the two grew apart for reasons Lily can't understand - and Xander doesn't want to face. When darkness takes over their perfectly sheltered lives, however, they might just come to realize that they needed each other more than ever.

In Light of You, A Prequel (of sorts) to In This Darkness : A series of (mostly) fluffy drabbles following Harry and Ginny from the days after the war to the beginning of In This Darkness.

“Why the fuck would I want to kiss you?” The words come out of her mouth with nowhere near as much vitriol as she’d intended them to. Instead, she sounds breathy, needy, just the opposite of what she was trying to convey.

Because in contrast to what she’s said aloud, her brain is rather unhelpfully providing a number of answers to that question, even if it was meant to be rhetorical. The first being that the rest of her body is showing all the signs of wanting exactly that - her heart thudding a rapid rhythm in her chest, her breaths coming in shallow gasps, the way that her whole body’s practically keening into him even though he’s the one who’s got her pressed into the lockers.

And he’s… so fit. Even though his shirt’s on now, the tanned skin and taut muscles underneath it are permanently etched into her memory. His hair is completely windswept, and she wants nothing more than to run her fingers through it, because god, the perpetual sex hair is killing her. Being able to look but not touch has felt like a uniquely depraved sort of torture, and now, right in front of her, is the opportunity for relief.

And then, finally, there’s the obvious answer - she’s done it once before, and she knows exactly how good it feels.

Fanfic Plan: A Rant

So, Im writing Joker story ideas on Google Docs. It’s going to be a fanfic, but there is a problem:

I HAVE TO REWATCH THE FILM TO GET THE CHARACTERS RIGHT! 

I’m already on Chapter 12, still working on it, but then—it hits me in a face like a sign. 

I would like some help on both Arthur and Joker’s personalizes and mannerisms. You can make a list, if you want. I’m not going to force you.

I’ll make my own list, and then I’ll see about some help.

I want to get them both as canon as I can get them.

Are you in love with me?

This can’t be happening, Slytherin thinks as he approaches her slowly. I shouldn’t have run out of the room. He can talk to other girls if he wants to, it doesn’t matter to me. 

Her anger dissolves into something else. It is another feeling—one that she’s afraid to address. 

A thought breaks free from the confines of her stubborn heart. 

But it does.  

Hufflepuff lifts his hand to caress her cheek, effectively making her mind go blank. 

“Are you in love with me,” he asks softly.  

Slytherin swallows with difficulty, her heart pounding. He’s so close she can make out the tiny speckles in his earthy brown irises. “No.” 

There’s a moment in which they stand there in silence, and the universe holds its breath. It exhales when Hufflepuff leans in and kisses her so sweetly that she is left dazed after they pull apart. She doesn’t remember tangling her fingers into his hair nor can she recall the moment he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her impossibly closer as their lips moved in unison. 

His gaze lingers on her parted lips. 

“Are you in love with me now?”  

Slytherin lets out a small laugh, and he revels in the warmth of her breath brushing against his skin.  

“Not yet,” she murmurs, her cheeks kissed with a tint of rosy pink. “Ask me again tomorrow.”   

A smile tugs at the corners of his mouth. “I’ll put it at the top of my to-do list.” 

She hums happily. “And you?” she muses. “Are you in love with me?”  

“I’ll have to think about it.” He gives her a grin, one so warm and utterly Hufflepuff-like that she feels as though she will melt in his arms. “I suppose you’ll have to ask me again tomorrow. Until then, I’m gonna kiss you.”

Hufflepuff smirks when she raises her eyebrows, slightly taken aback by his bluntness. 

“You know,” he tilts her chin up, “for decision-making purposes.” 

Her heartbeat quickens.

A librarian helps a quester continuously find information until one day the quester becomes a missing person. Librarian must sift through the paper trail until they can rescue the quester. 

Princesses falling in love and joining their kingdoms and shit just working out. I deserve a win. Pls.

Give the village hag a love story pleeeease

Infiltrate something and then dismantle it from the inside 

Where a distraction or feat ABSOLUTELY shouldn’t work but then character rolls the metaphorical nat 20 and it does (*gasp* what’s that over there?” to avert the enemy’s attention and they look like the absolute fools they are)

Chosen One absolutely refuses to start the quest. Will not save the day. Zero interest. 

The designated mom friend of a group of morally grey criminals

A pet monster being a good boi only for its person and then meets the person’s unknowing soulmate and is a good boi for them too (let’s call it the Persephone Effect)

Supernatural coffee shop or diner or something featuring creatures like vampires, werewolves, witches etc. bonus points if it fits a lo-fi vibe.

Some form of dark academia (mystery, murder, secrets, etc)

The mundane downsides of immortality (seeing your friend's famous book misconstrued but not being able to speak up, really craving a dessert that is some form of lost knowledge and you can't remember what the recipe was, etc) 

A psychic who can only predict boring minor things like what others will eat for lunch today or whether there will be traffic. 

A vampire stuck with a wildlife rehabber who thinks they are an injured or sickly bat with several failed escape attempts.
