a little out of the blue, this is along the line of things i've wanted to draw for fun since forever…! the latest chapter reminded me in a way… apologies for the quick roughness, it's like practice, or a trial run for these ✍️ i'd like to do more and practice different things! like backgrounds...

Zhao De presses his face harder against the floor as he shifts, and Shen Yuan has the half-mind to snap his teeth at him. He already bit him once, after all. He could do it again.

phew!! i've had been meaning to draw this scene for a WHILE (ever since i read it) and finally i have it out. uh, sorry i keep drawing sy from behind LOL i just wanted to really include his slave mark. we'll see his face in my style soon !! (hopefully). anyways, thank u gemi for the lovely fic <33

I read all of what is available of @peachesofteal 's anthology "Through Me (The Flood)" last night. In the *chapter*, I guess you would call it, "Daddy"; there was a section that slapped itself into my brain and STUCK THERE.

I am not good at shading. I am not good at doing much more than full face, head on, drawings. I am not good at clothes. But this needed to be drawn and I did it and I hope it is well received.

Chapter 4

A Forbidden Friendship

Talanah went back to see the injured Harpy, who kept howling in the cove. She wondered why she was doing that, was it a Harpy call? Or is she just sad she can’t fly? Either way, Talanah still wanted to help her…even if she is a wild and unpredictable thing, helping her felt right.

Talanah entered the cove and saw the Harpy clawing at at rock, this was her chance to wrap up that injured wing of hers. The Harpy turned around and saw Talanah walking towards her. She wasn’t as aggressive as she was when Talanah set her free, but she was still skittish and didn’t trust the girl.

“Hey there girl…I know you don’t trust me, and you probably can’t understand me but I want to put this medicinal lotion on your wing and wrap it up, I promise it’ll make you feel better” Talanah gently spoke, the Harpy moved back a little bit while staring at Talanah. “It’s okay…I’m not going to hurt you…in fact I don’t want to hurt you, I don’t think I can kill Harpies even though that’s what everyone else at the lodge does” Talanah said, the Harpy tilted her head and moved backwards.



Talanah took one step forward and the Harpy glided off again. “Okay…still won’t let me get too close” Talanah said to herself. “Guess I’ll just wait till she’s ready, Talanah sat down and started drawing in the dirt. The Harpy heard scratches and got curious, she wanted to see what the girl was doing. She quietly sat next to Talanah at watched her draw in the dirt, she was drawing the Harpy. Suddenly the Harpy got up and grabbed a large branch and started drawing around Talanah.



“A Harpy that likes to draw?” Talanah said, the bird woman smiled and looked at her scribbles. “Everything we thought about you, it’s all wrong” Talanah said to her. Suddenly, the Harpy came up to her. “Woah…hi..” Talanah said, the Harpy sniffed her head “hey that tickles” she giggled, “guess I had to let you come to me huh?” The Harpy smiled. Okay, moment of truth. Talanah brought out the lotion and bandages and once again, tried to wrap up the Harpy’s injured wing.

But the Harpy took off again.

“Figured you’d do that, that’s why I brought this” Talanah said while pulling out a basket of fish and meats. The scent immediately got the Harpy’s attention, Talanah went behind a rock to give the Harpy some space and make sure she takes the bait. The Harpy walked over and began digging in. She had her whole head in the basket, this was Talanah’s chance.

“ Okay….. Now I can do this” Talanah whispered, she gently rubbed the lotion on the Harpy’s wing and wrapped it. “ There you go..” she said gently. And she backed away, giving the avian woman some space. The Harpy finished eating, and let out a belch. “ Excuse you” Talanah whispered and chuckled.

“There you go, see?” Talanah said. The Harpy looked at the bandage on her wing, suddenly thunder roared. It was beginning to rain. The Harpy went for cover and put her wing over her head. Talanah didn’t move, she sat at the water and thought about what everyone would think of her. “I mean, they aren’t wrong to make fun of me back at home” she uttered, “I can’t kill Harpies…especially not after this…my father will think I’m a failure” she said to herself. Then the Harpy came over and put her wing over her head. Talanah looked at the Harpy and spoke.

“I’m sorry I shot you down…I thought if I brought back the wings of the Harpy, I would become Sunhawk…I now know that you aren’t a monster, you’re trying to survive..just like us” Talanah said. “It’s okay, I forgive you” The Harpy spoke. “You can talk?!” Talanah said surprised, “yes I can…we are part human after all…and…my name is Aloy” Aloy said. “Oh…hi Aloy…I hope you are feeling better now that your wing is wrapped up” Talanah said. “I feel a little better, also sorry for roaring at you…even though you deserved it” Aloy said, “it’s okay, also…you’re right…I kinda did” Talanah chuckles.

The two started bonding, as soon as the rain stopped. They both ate fish and drew in the mud, the sun began to set and Talanah decided to head home. “I’ll see you tomorrow Aloy” she said. Talanah had made a new friend…a Harpy friend!

Chapter excerpt:

“Can I ask you one last question?” 

Izuku doesn’t move his head from where it’s facing forward, but he does shift his eyes to look at Charlie 

“What’s the question?” 

Charlie takes her time. Almost like she’s bracing herself for what she’s about to ask, which has a flare of worry fire through Izuku. He hangs his elbow off the backrest. Charlie’s dark blue eyes never leave the front of the church. Her black-painted nails dig so hard into her palms, that he’s sure she’ll leave behind crescent moon grooves. 

She blinks twice. Chin angled down as she looks at her fingers. Brushing them against each other in a soft manner.

“The other NDA you signed with X-studios,” She turns her head to lock eyes, “were they related to my brother’s injury?”

why is roier an oracle? because he is. my canon to au transition is this: roier knows and predicts events before they happen. its dramatic irony but because its rp and live unscripted it only happens after the fact. or maybe its because of his boy who cried wolf nature. when he had bobby with him, whenever he got downed he would be like OMG NO BOBBY IS GOING DIE HELPPPP. but when bobby did die he said nothing. all he could say was i knew it.

so then in the au this becomes: oracle who knows things and predicts them and somewhere along the way roier "arruina familias" gameplays goes off to fuck off castle to plan his revenge and hires a knight. why? idk! and we dont really need to know because its a warped version of the canon events for the back story :3 because this roier is our roier and not a stranger you know?

or maybe we do need to know... but that we learn when roier wants to share. we dont get to know unless he tells...
