Daenerys targaryen is not ready for the kind of devotion and my freak at all, i am crazy about her and no one else can take her place in the asoiaf world
Oberyn would 100% apreciate my freak and the things we would do on those dornish quarters would be unholy
I thank you for your service in being a freak for both Danny and Oberyn.

ok y'know what. I'm tired of all the same questions in ask games so I'm taking matters into my own hands
OC/Writing Art Asks
For the character:
Pencil: does this character have any "sketchy" habits? Have they ever broken the law? Do they regret it?
Pen: what's one minor moment your character regrets? A small mistake, but something they "can't erase"?
Paintbrush: How often does your character "brush over" conflict instead of facing it head on? Is there something specific they don't like to face, or do they avoid conflict as a whole?
Marker: what's one thing your character would never tattoo on their body, even if they were paid a million dollars for it?
Crayon: what was your OC like when they were four years old? Were they loud? Shy? Were they the resident "weird kid" or did they get along with others their age?
Colored Pencil: if given the choice, would this character splurge on an expensive (but potentially worthwhile) branded product, or buy a low-budget alternative even if the quality suffers?
Copics: what is this character's most expensive habit or hobby? Do they ever feel guilty about the money they spend on it?
Graphite: what's something decently common that your character does in a unique or different way? (like how graphite is present in all pencils, but not everyone uses pure graphite)
Charcoal: share any unique physical features about this character that are not scars or tattoos.
Tortillon: does your OC "blend in" with the people around them? Physically? Metaphorically?
Pastels: Give me three colors that best represent your OC. Now give me three colors that your OC likes best. Is there an overlap?
Chalk: what was one activity this character enjoyed with their sibling(s) as a kid? If they don't have siblings, what they did with their neighborhood friends
Eraser: what's one way this character has changed over time? Either over the course of their story, or over the course of designing them as an author.
Palette: list four of your character's primary skills, then share at least two ways these skills might blend or overlap
For the work:
Starry Night: are there any scenes in this work that take place at nighttime? Is this significant, or just the passing of time?
Mona Lisa: oh, it's the fanfic writer's favorite word. Do a find-and-replace on the word "smirk" and share any lines that pop up.
The Scream: are there any moments in this work that you think could scare a reader? Are there any moments where the characters themselves are profoundly scared?
Persistence of Memory: are there any moments in this work where a character's memory plays a strong role? Either an individual memory, or simply a character's ability to recall the past.
Girl With a Pearl Earring: are there any moments in this work where a character's clothing or accessories play a major role?
The Kiss: share your favorite kiss scene from this work. If there's no kiss scene, share your favorite moment of intimacy (romantic or platonic)
American Gothic: what's one relationship between characters in this work that you think people wouldn't expect? (i.e., how the people in American Gothic are not married, they're the painter's sister and dentist)
Guernica: look through a few of your imagery/descriptions in this work. Are they generally straightforward, or are they more "abstract"?
Wheatfield with Crows: are there any scenes in this work that involve birds? Do the birds play a definitive role, or are they simply part of the setting?
Woman with a Parasol: are there any moments in this fic that feel "blurry" to you? Is this a stylistic choice, or would you go back and clarify the descriptions if you were given the chance?
A Sunday Afternoon...: pick one "little moment" from this fic. How representative is it of the fic's tone and story as a whole?
Creation of Adam: choose one character that is not present at the beginning of this work. How did you introduce them into the story?
The Swing: are there any moments in this fic where the characters get to slow down and have fun? If not, why is that?
The Last Supper: does this fic incorporate any symbolism based on religion, theology, or mythology? If so, give an example.
For the author:
Paper: Who do you feel is your most two-dimensional or underdeveloped OC? Why is this? (including those that are still in development/haven't been written about yet)
Canvas: Do you ever "prep" your fics with outlines or warmups before you start writing, or do you just dive right in?
Graffiti: Have you ever had to research something that felt illicit or illegal for a fic? What was it?
Photography: What's one moment from any of your fics that you feel is preserved in your memory?
Clay: Do you usually take time to "sculpt" your OCs before you write them, or develop them as you write?
Film: Which one of your fics do you think would work best if turned into a movie? Who would direct it?
Adhesive: when you write, do you usually "stick" to one character or story for a while, or bounce around various characters and ideas?
Cricut: are there any characters you've had to "cut" from a story? Are there any moments/chapters/stories you've had to "cut" entirely?
Felting: how often do you include soft moments when you write? Do these moments play a role in the main plot, or do you include them as an escape from the rest of the story?
Weaving: are your works typically similar to one another? Pick two works, and share one similarity and one difference between them.
Finger Painting: share a small snippet from your earliest work (or the earliest that you can get back to). How would you rewrite it today? Either share the rewrite itself or just describe how you'd do it.
Creative!: free space! share something you've been dying to share about your writing! Could be an OC that never gets the limelight, a moment you were proud of, or anything else you'd like to share

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let's spread the self-love 💞
Tagged by @2nd2ndalto. This is tricky, because my favorite is always either the one I'm working on or the one I end up reading for some reason. What I really should do is write which I think are my five favorites, and then go back to see if I've answered this before (I'm sure I have) and see how often I say the same fics. Or if I never say the same fics.
Here's the ones that caught my attention while trying to find five favorites, which means they're my favorites today:
Personally, I Blame the Coffee (Victor/Yuuri, Coffeeshop AU, one-shot) It was so much fun to write this cracky little one-shot. I'm still impressed I go the whole fic without Victor knowing Yuuri's name, despite his many, many attempts to learn it.
Crossovers (Eric Bittle/Jack Zimmerman, AU where Bittle is a figure skater & Jack is JJ Leroy's cousin) Eric skates to Beyonce's Halo, I regret nothing. There's more to the fic, but honestly what else do you need?
A Fiddle in the Band (Johnlock, AU Country Music, unfinished) Oh, my poor semi-abandoned Fiddle 'Verse. I still think the Ballad of Gloria Scott would make a pretty good country song, if it was anyone but me singing it.
Dangerous Games (Mystrade, Historical AU where the Germans won WW2) I love this one. It's despair and heartbreak and loss and it's probably riddled with historical inaccuracies but I love Mycroft in it. Of all the Mystrades I've written, this one's my favorite.
Pages from a Broken Book (Ten2/Rose, post-JE in Pete's World) Basically I write about my experience with culture shock for fourteen stories. You know, as you do.

Because the original had a lot of plot holes and wasn't satisfying.
What to expect:
1. Actually tells the Once-ler's whole story from beginning to end (no Ted)
2. Gives Once-ler more agency and develops his motives beyond "my family made me do it."
3. Includes "You're all going to jail!" scene
4. Animals die/the stakes are raised
5. Logical explanations for why they couldn't just plant more trees or use a ladder, why Once-ler didn't just plant the seed himself, etc.
6. The Lorax is actually significant
7. Characters like Once-ler's dad, Norma, and O'Hare are woven in, but don't steal the spotlight. (Example: Norma isn't an annoying girlfriend who steals the role of the Lorax).
8. NO ANNOYING OCS, MARY SUES, OR STUPID ROMANCES!!!!!!!!!! Just a straightforward, comprehensive narrative of what the movie should've been like.
This entire novel is complete and has been through multiple drafts. If you follow it, you can be sure that it does have an ending and the author knows where it's going with foreshadowing and extra plot twists. Chapters will be released each week.

Ship: Makoami Prompt: Coffee 😳👉👈
"If you drink any more of that, you'll never get to sleep tonight," Makoto murmurs into Ami's hair.
Ami ignores her wife and takes another giant, noisy gulp of coffee.
Makoto sighs in affectionate defeat. "At least let me make you a new pot."
Ami smiles and lifts her face for her victor's kiss.

What up? How's your writing going? Having a good day?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It definitely was when I was least expecting it. I'm good; the writing has been going smoothly, and the writer's block hasn't been too bad. I am just about to post another chapter 🤭

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💖
Hi Prince! Thank you so much for the ask! <3
Hmm, since I've had huntlow brainrot for nearly a year, I think I'll go with my five favorite fics for them:
A Guard By Any Other Name
They wake in a forest filled with wildflowers and tall, waist-wading grasses, soft summer sunlight pouring through the surrounding thicket of towering trees in misty slivers. Beautiful is the first word that comes to mind when Willow takes it all in, a feeling that intensifies tenfold when her gaze lands on a figure sitting in the shade of a magnificent tree, feather-veined leaves spilling from long, lithe branches like rainfall frozen in time. It doesn't escape Gus's notice that the inner Hunter has chosen a willow tree as his sanctuary, chuckling to himself as the two of them approach him. "I was wondering when you two would finally get here," the inner Hunter affectionately teases, glancing up from the book he'd been reading — From Bones To Earth: A Study Of Wild Magic — to greet them with a radiant smile. "So, journey to the center of my mindscape," he prompts, squinting in the direction of a winding path leading through the denser, darker part of the forest. "Well then, we'd better get started."
Gold Rush
"They're staring at you because they think you're cute," Willow says with a small shrug, like it's an obvious fact, and Hunter nearly falls off the steps. "What?" Hunter's voice cracks about an octave higher than its usual register. "No, that can't be it," he insists with a half-hysterical chuckle, batting the absurd notion away with a wild wave of his hands. "I'm not— no, it's got to be something else." Willow stares at him for a moment, head tilted to the side. "Wait," she says slowly, brow furrowed in genuine concern. "Do you really not know how attract— um. I mean…has no one ever told you that before?" "Do you think I'm cute?" Hunter ventures in a soft, awed voice, and Willow's heart skips about a thousand beats. He's never looked more adorable than he does in this moment — fluffy blond hair coiffed in a windswept halo around the top of his head, dark eyebrows pulled upward in stunned disbelief, plush pink lower lip jutting out ever so slightly in a stupefied pout — and titan have mercy, Willow is so far gone on this boy. She's never been so stupid in love with anyone in her entire life, but this boy downright threatens her IQ.
She Has A Type (And It's Bad But Sad Boys)
"This is weird," she says after a few moments, and Hunter's heart sinks to the depths of his writhing stomach. "Talking to you like this," she clarifies, whiplash sending Hunter's heart soaring so high it nearly leaps right out of his mouth as Willow leans forward, hands coming up to rest on the sides of his face. "Mind if I just—" she asks, fingertips finding the grooves where his mask meets the curve of his jawline, and gently tugs it upward, exposing every bit of pale, scarred, blushing vulnerability underneath. "Hunter," she says, breathing his name between them like a sigh of relief, bursts of golden light from the string of fairy lights dancing in her pale green eyes as she stares up at him with a smile that could turn the dark into daylight. Her hands drift between them in mid-air, like she isn't quite sure what to do with them, fingers twitching like she wants to reach out and touch him, trace the line of his jaw, the curves of his cheekbones, the swell of his lower lip. Or maybe he's just projecting. He needs to leave. He wants to stay.
The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter
"Is this…did someone write a romance novel about grimwalkers?" Hunter asks, turning to see Willow peeking at him through the gap between her fingers, face flushed an adorable shade of pink. "And you used to read it?" he asks, lips pulling up into a smug little smile. "It was a really long time ago!" Willow blurts out, rushing to defend herself. "Way before I ever met you, back when everyone still thought that grimwalkers were just the stuff of fairy tales and folklore. Obviously it's completely inaccurate — I mean, grimwalkers don't feed off of witches' magic like basilisks or vampires, and they certainly couldn't craft an engagement ring out of a piece of their own—" "Ah, bup-bup-bup! No, no, no, no, no spoilers!" Hunter exclaims, covering his ears and shaking his head. Willow pauses mid-ramble, eyebrows arched in surprise. "So, this book," Hunter ventures, gaze flitting between Willow and the bright blue glowing galdorstone illustrated on the front cover of the novel held in his scarred hands. "You said it's a series? As in, there's more?"
Advanced Friendship
Maybe friends routinely catch each other mid-air. Hold each other in their arms like they're holding their own raw, beating heart. Feel that heart quicken and leap into their throat every time the other so much as smiles at them. Maybe friends start fires inside each other's chests that feel like they could simultaneously warm a winter village and burn down a rainforest — a heat so powerful it spills past their ribs and sinks into their skin, igniting their cheeks in bright, ruddy bursts. Maybe friends tell each other they mean the world to one another. Link their pinky fingers in an unspoken promise. Tilt their wrists so that their hands are pressed right up against one another's, like they just couldn't get close enough. It's more than anything he's ever done with any of the others, and it definitely feels different. Maybe it's…advanced friendship? Hunter glances up at her, breath catching at the way all the stars in the night sky seem to dance in her bright green eyes as she gazes back at him, that signature soft smile she seems to reserve just for him tugging at the corners of her lips as a delicate shade of pink blossoms across her cheeks like spring hydrangeas — and a wondrous swell of hope sparks to life inside his chest, because the last time Hunter checked, friends don't look at each other like that.

7. Favourite type of au? ALSO 33. Fanfiction pet peeves? (kissing you with tongue, etc.)
👅
(God, that’s a horrifying emoji.)
(Also, you weren’t supposed to see me procrastinating writing you a thing WHOOPS.)
7. Favourite type of AU?
Not to like put you on blast on main or whatever but I’m pretty sure you single handedly got me back into the college AU. I barely read them in Schitt’s Creek, had next to no interest. Now they’re my favourite thing to write AND to read. So. Thanks?
33. Fanfiction pet peeves?
Oof, going for this one huh.
I do very firmly and genuinely believe that everyone should be able to write what they want to write, and I will Simply Not Vibe With Everything and that’s okay! I’ve been fandoming for a lot longer than tags/filters/etc have been easily used, so I’m pretty liberal with my use of the back button when something isn’t for me 😅
BUT this is an author ask game, so my number one pet peeve AS AN AUTHOR is people kink shaming in my comment section. I pretty liberally delete comments of this nature these days, because I don’t ever want someone who is specifically seeking out a particular type of content that I write to read the comments and wind up feeling bad about themselves. I tag the absolute shit out of my kink both so those who want to avoid things can avoid them AND so people who want to seek things out can seek them out. The characters might be fictional, but the thoughts and feelings and scenarios are very real, and respecting that is really important to me ❤️

A Writer’s Ask Game
11.  Books and/or authors who influenced you the most
27.  Favourite line/scene
32.  Most difficult character to write.
38.  Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had
Thanks for asking, @hotpinkmurex!
11.  Books and/or authors who influenced you the most
Tough one, because there's a lot of answers...
Anne McCaffrey was the first fantasy/sci fi I ever read, and as such, had a lot of sway over my brain for a bit. I even wrote a thesis style paper on Pern in HS and corresponded with her about the books. The first fan fiction I ever 'wrote' were self insert fantasies of Pern and dragons and fire lizards that I made in my head endlessly.
Then there's Robin McKinley, Tanya Huff, Terry Pratchett, and most recently, T. Kingfisher/Ursula Vernon. They influence my sense of humor in my writing, my love of offbeat and reluctant heros, lovable anti-heroes, turning tropes upside down, witty banter, and more. I've read and re-read many of their books over the years.
27.  Favourite line/scene
Another toughie, because SO MANY possibilities. But, keeping on my theme of late, I'm going to pick an SoC scene, and go with the Geldrenner bathroom Kanej scene. SO much happens there. So many emotions, exposition, and things of import for the characters. It's visceral punch in the feels. I've re-read it multiple times and it never ceases to pack that punch.
32.  Most difficult character to write.
Of the ones I write POV's for regularly, probably Jesper. It takes me a bit to settle into the chaos of his mind so I can portray it accurately. Of my OC's that I had written recently, I did section for Zurye, and I am still not sure if I have found her voice completely.
38.  Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had
Less a weird full fledged story idea, and more just an amusing note that has been sitting in my ideas section for a bit. Not sure if I will use it in a story somewhere.
"At some point, Inej notices all three men have freckles, and she’s tickled pink by this." Referencing Kaz, Jesper, and Wylan.

Fanfic Couples*/Relationships Ask Game
*note that when I say "couple", this does not have to indicate a romantic couple, it's just the most concise way to refer to a pair of characters. These can be any two characters, romantic or not.
Of the ones you've written, which romantic relationship has developed the fastest? How fast is it?
Of the ones you've written, what's your slowest slowburn? How slow is it?
Have you ever written a soulmate AU? If you haven't, why would/wouldn't you write one?
What's the fastest you've reached a romantic couple's first kiss (in words/scenes/chapters)? First "I love you"? Other landmarks?
Do you have any works where you refuse to reach a certain relationship landmark, for one reason or another?
Have you ever started to write a relationship and had it develop differently than you expected? How so?
Have you written any romantic couples that you think would be better off as friends? Or even enemies?
Have you ever written any friendships that could've easily become romantic relationships? How did you navigate it?
When you write, do you plan out the stages of a relationship, or just let it flow? Do you have any works where the characters seem to "write themselves"?
[Couple] has just been struck by a magic spell, and now they're mortal enemies! What happens now?
[Couple] has just stumbled into a fairy ring, and they've forgotten they ever knew each other! What happens now?
[Couple] has just found an interdimensional portal, and one of them just walked in! Does the other go after them?
Are there any consistent trends when you write a budding relationship, or does it vary by character? If there are trends, what are they?
Are there any relationship dynamics/tropes you want to write in the future, but haven't yet?
Are there any relationship dynamics/tropes you would never write?
Are there any relationship dynamics/tropes you enjoy reading about, but wouldn't want to write yourself? Vice versa?
Did you base [couple] on any existing relationships that you've seen? This can be anything: TV characters, books, even people you've known in real life.
Pick a few characters you've written for (or, for a fun twist, asker chooses). Tell me about their relationship in three sentences or less.
Pick a work/fandom you've written for. If your couple didn't end up together, who would they get close with with instead?
Has a character ever felt pulled in two directions as you wrote them? How did you resolve this?
Not all relationships are romantic. What's your favorite non-romantic relationship that you've written about?
Have you ever written a break-up scene? How did it go? Was it a permanent split?
Do you think you idealize relationships in fiction, or are your depictions grounded in reality? How often do your characters make mistakes?
When you write, do you focus more on the romantic relationships or the non-romantic ones?
How important to you is the inclusion of sex in writing a romantic couple? Do you have any asexual characters?
Do you have any characters that are arospec or otherwise wouldn't enter a romantic relationship? How do they interact with the story?
Do you have any characters who are hopeless romantics? How do they interact with the story?
Have you ever written a tragic romance? How did it turn out?
What's the most interesting friendship that you've written?
What's the most interesting familial relationship that you've written? Found family counts.
Are there any songs that remind you of [couple]? Are there any songs that remind them of each other?
Do you find it more fun to write soft, domestic romances, or dramatic thrillers?
Are there any canon romantic couples, in any media, that you just can't stand?
Are there any well-known fanon relationships (not canon), that you just can't stand?
Are there any canon non-romantic relationships you can't stand?
Have you ever overwritten a canon romance in favor of a different character/OC? Did you write a full breakup or just ignore the canon relationship?
Who's the Barbie and who's the Ken? Who's the Allan?
Who's the Romeo and who's the Juliet? Who's the Rosaline?
Who's the Prince Charming and who's the Damsel in Distress? Who's the dragon?
Pick a relationship (not necessarily romantic). What tropes apply to this relationship? What tropes does this relationship subvert?
Who's your most repressed/oblivious character? Who's your most aware character? What makes them different?
As an author, are you gentle to your characters?
How do you feel about unhappy endings? Unrequited love? Major character death?
What's your favorite type of relationship to write? What makes it most fun for you?
What type of relationship do you struggle most to write? Why is it difficult for you?
Are there any character dynamics that you've found yourself stepping outside your comfort zone to write? How so?
What's the most self-indulgent relationship you've written? Are there any particular moments/scenes that you wrote just for you?
Are there any relationships you've lost passion for writing? Are there any relationships that started slow but gained momentum over time?
What's your favorite relationship dynamic that you've seen in another work of fiction? Has this influenced your writing at all?
Free space! Brag on yourself! Advertise your writing! What are you most proud of recently?

WIP Game
Tagged by @thetimemoves. Thank you!
Make a new post with the names of all the files in your wip folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous
Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet or tell them something about it!
Tag others to continue the game.
Oh boy. I'm the worst when it comes to titling anything; either I think of a brilliant title immediately or a file will have a working title up until ten minutes before publication. Currently I've been going with descriptive titles for things (NAFTK was named Bucky and the Baby until about a week before I posted it. Hey, descriptive!) It's either that or I get really lazy and just let Word use the first sentence to title the fic. (You can probably figure out which two fics below where that happened.)
The WIPs:
Steve's Notebook
Clint Tower Fic
Lost Baggage
Margaret Carter disliked Thursdays
Six Times Clint Listened to his Instincts
The amnesia is getting worse
One Year Later
Tagging @paula-in-dreamland, @nautilicious, @cecebeanie, and @cowboylikeyouu. (And if you want to play and I didn't tag you, by all means have at it, and let me know you did so I can add you to my mental list of authors who like being tagged on things.)

Ever After - Director’s Commentary
Evan muted the phone with a weary sigh.
“Nope, not doing this tonight.” The chair groaned as he leaned back, eyes slipping shut. “My therapist already has enough to deal with.”
He didn’t have a therapist, but Evan was seriously starting to consider getting one. That was a thought for another day.
Get one.
Hello and welcome to the director’s commentary of chapter three of Ever After! Here you get to see my (limited) thought process as I was writing this chapter. Honestly though, this was one of my favorite scenes to write and I was very much pleased with the reactions I got when I published it.
Seriously Ev, get therapy. It’s a lot healthier than this.
Running his fingers through his auburn locks, Evan weighed his options. He couldn’t leave empty handed. And he was fairly certain that he’d found all there was to the maintenance room. There was always the possibility that the blueprints weren’t the real thing.
But to find out…
Evan chewed his lower lip.
He’d have to examine the animatronics up close.
He would rather set himself on fire.
You see why this line is funny, right? No? Well, I thought it was funny when I typed it.
But he had a promise to keep, so he reluctantly peeled himself from his chair, removed his headphones from where they rested around his neck and unclipped the Walkman from his belt. He set both on the desk and reached for his torch, doing his best to ignore the way his heart was already beginning to race.
Halfway down the hall he heard the squeal of the tape being wound fast, barely audible over the fan’s ever present hum.
‘Stay with me, stay with me. For tonight you'd better stay with me.’
He ignored the raspy singing, even when the volume rose as high as it could, loud enough for the guitar riffs to be heard clearly at the end of the hall.
‘Stay with me, stay with me. For tonight, you’d better-’
My first thought when including the Walkman in the story was as a reference to the time period. I decided to make it an emotional link between Michael and Evan actually when I decided that it would be how Michael most easily communicated with Evan through the five nights.
Actually, writing this fic has expanded my taste in music a bit. I spent a bit of time searching for songs that would be appropriate timeline-wise and also could easily communicate what Michael wanted to say in specific moments. In this case, ‘don’t leave the office.’ You can probably tell, but I’m especially fond of Blue Öyster Cult.
Evan tuned it out. Forced his legs to keep moving, in spite of the tremor working its way up to his knees, threatening to send him toppling over at any moment. He quickened his pace in hopes it would keep him upright just a bit longer.
Out of the corner of his eye, Foxy’s curtain slowly began to slide open.
The three main animatronics’ eyes seemed to gleam in the dark.
It was just the reflection of the torch beam, he told himself.
No it’s not.
Nothing attacked him as he crossed the room. He could feel his heart beating so frantically he was half-surprised it didn’t shatter his rib cage as he hoisted himself up onto the stage, coming to stand before Freddy. The animatronics were much smaller than he remembered from his childhood, but still managed to tower over him, soulless mechanical eyes staring straight over his head and maws full of gnashing teeth and mechanical crossbeams hanging open. Oil or grease, something dark and slick, dripped from Freddy’s teeth. Its pungent smell flooded Evan’s nostrils.
Evan swallowed down the lump in his throat. Suddenly, he felt sick.
With trembling fingers he reached for Freddy’s bow tie…
Honestly, I think Evan’s most defining trait is his courage. Yes, he’s timid and scares easily, but that doesn’t stop him as a small child from facing down horrors the likes of which would have most adults pissing themselves in fear. It probably would have been easier to curl up under the bed and hide. Who knows if it would have worked, but it would have been easier than guarding against them all night until the sunrise.
It was easy for me to picture him doing something this reckless, so long as he had (what he considered) a good reason for it. He’s rather lucky that time is on his side, so to speak.
Freddy’s eyes snapped to him.
What a shock!
Evan shrieked. He threw himself back from the animatronic, but Freddy’s giant paw closed around his wrist in a vice grip and wrenched him up into the air.
“Jesus Christ, what the fuck, what the fuck what the fuck-”
Language, Ev. Some of the phrases I have him use - ‘Jesus fuck on a stick’ or ‘Jesus Christmas’ are things I say in real life.
The torch fell from his grasp, light dying as it fell to the stage and then rolled off somewhere into the shadows. He flailed, kicked in the air, clawed at the oversized paw that engulfed his hand. All of it useless. Chica and Bonnie stepped forward, unmoving mechanical faces somehow managing to radiate sadistic glee at his helplessness. After letting him struggle for a few moments Chica seized his other arm, threatening to snap bone as though he were made of twigs. Bonnie seized his ankles, heedless of his thrashing. He was trapped, each limb held in an unrelenting mechanical grip. And then they began to move.
“No no, please! I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to hurt you I swear, oh god, what are you going to do to me, no no nO NO NO pleasedon’tkillmeIcan’tdieyetIpromisedhim-”
Someone told me that this scene reminded them of the FNAF 4 Minigame where Michael and his friends dragged Evan up onto the stage and, honestly, that’s exactly what I was going for.
Interesting that Evan immediately believes the animatronics can be reasoned with. Since he hasn’t had the same warnings Mike did in the original timeline, he doesn’t have the same assumptions for why the animatronics do what they do. Writing this made me wonder about how Phone Guy came to the conclusions he did - if he came up with them on his own or that’s what he was told - or how he figured out what the animatronics would do if they caught him.
The robots ignored his broken sobs. Foxy had climbed down from its stage, watching with those golden eyes as Evan was dragged screaming into the maintenance room.
The door slammed with the finality of a coffin lid.
I was kinda proud of that line when I wrote it, but now I’m worried it sounds a little corny. I tend not to do so well with metaphors and similes - to me, they always seem to come out purple-prosey - so I tend to stick with more tangible, concrete descriptions of scenes and events as I picture them happening. I do like the coffin lid comparison though, I just wonder if I could have written it better somehow.
In the first draft I actually ended the scene with Evan ‘waking up’ in the office. When I decided to cut that line I also decided that each chapter would be contained to its own 24-hour period within the same loop (excepting the Day chapters in 1981, which sometimes are continuations of the same 24-hour period). That also influenced my decision in chapter five to have Evan sneak into Michael’s room exactly after midnight. In-universe, it was to make sure enough time had passed that everyone would be sound asleep. Out, it was because I wouldn’t allow myself to write a continuous scene that crossed from 11:59:59 of one day to 12:00:00 of the next. This is also the point where I actually wrote up my first outline, although I’ve deviated from it a bit since then.

BLT - Beach
"It's a myth, Teddy!" Bob exclaims, startling a flock of seagulls nearby.
Linda tries not to laugh; Teddy's in pain, after all.
Teddy hops around on one foot and almost falls over onto the dead jellyfish.
"If you really love me, Bob, you'll pee on my leg!"
"Oh my God."

16, 20, and 26 for the ao3 writer? 👉👈
thank you for asking! <3
16. What's your most common "Additional Tags" tag?
unironically it's "Rain Village (DMBJ)", when i say that's my house and i live there i mean it 😂 i think every single thing i've written has been set in yucun in some way. otherwise it's probably a tie between "Emotional Hurt/Comfort" and "Established Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling" which if you want any indication of what type of things i write there it is
20. Which work of yours have you reread the most?
this is actually a really hard question for me to answer because the problem is i don't really reread the things i write. i can't really get out of the mindset of reading it critically as an editor, so whenever i do go back to look at them (which is always a while after i've posted them) i inevitably end up not actually reading it and paying more attention to things like the word flow and style, or the characterization etc. that being said, some of them i look back on more than others and come out of it with a more positive mindset when i get in the mood, and out of all of them it's probably The Cruelest Month (which took part of my sanity with it) or Alight and Tempered. which. wasn't the question but that's the best i can do 😂
26. What's your most common category?
i'm not 100% sure if this means category as in m/m, m/f, f/f, or category as in genre/trope so i'll just. do both dksds
i haven't actually written all that many things in general and pretty much all of it is pingxie so it's all m/m the brainrot is real. for genre/trope i'm not really sure what to put, but the stuff i write is mostly canon compliant or canon divergence, so not really AUs? i'm not really sure what else to put here
