I've gotten quite a few questions about the next chapter of TTTBU and I recently got to writing a large chunk of it so I thought I'd give you guys a lil sneak peak at it!

That being said, Ahsoka was young. She was young, still learning to move with the Force and control her emotions. They were in a war with death around every corner. Hundreds of clone troopers died every battle, regardless of it being a win or a lose, it was a simple fact of the war. 

He wondered what lengths Ahsoka would go through if one of the troopers she was close with was in danger or killed. He knew more than a few padawans had fallen during the war, their rage and pain consuming them. Anakin hadn’t been able to erase what had happened on Mortis from his mind, Ahsoka’s glowing yellow eyes and her seething hatred.

If her love for the troopers posed a danger to herself or to them, he needed to address it.

HMMM I wonder what Ahsoka will have to say about her master prodding into her personal business...

I’m so happy I’m able to invoke such a wide range of emotions 😁 besides what’s a little love and fluff without a little bit of pain? (Sorry Echo it had to happen for the plot 🙏) I’m happy with whatever you are able to articulate it just makes me so happy that you were even compelled to reread 💙💙

@sees-writes I'm still on my second reread of "The ties that bind us" and everytime i pick it back up i think surely this will be the time i can organize my thoughts and leave detailed comments.

Only to be blindsided by emotions every time. Like ill never learn. Fuck this is supposed to be a fun feel good story. I always remember it being cute and funny and silly. But oh right. Its also devistating.

Hello! My summer has been good but pretty busy! I’m working full time and haven’t had much time to write but I have chapter 28 in the works and I’m hoping to get it done before the be of July 😅

Clone Tattoo Headcanons

Yes so now I’m thinking about this and so I thought I’d stare my thoughts! (I also have mentioned a few of these in fics so I thought I’d just explain it here)

Universal 

All the clones have their CT or CC number on their wrist

I am pretty sure the Kaminoans can’t tell them apart or don’t care enough to do so but if they have their number right there on their wrist then they automatically know which clone is which

Many troopers chose to get a cover up over their number but others don’t

When a clone joins a battalion they get a band of their battalion’s color

Like the 501st has a blue band on their left bicep, the Coruscant guard has a rad band around their right forearm

The 104th had a maroon band around their tricep but after Malevolence the survivors got two gray bands on top and bottom of the maroon.

Jesse

obviously his big ass Republic cog tattoo

He 100% got that while absolutely shit faced drunk but the only one that knows this is Fives. Kix had wanted a night off and Echo was recovering from an injury so Fives and Jesse went out drinking together

Jesse absolutely will never admit that he was drunk when he got the tattoo and Fives will never tell anybody he was because then Jesse would tell everyone about the embarrassing Fives also got while he was also shit faced

Jesse definitely has a sleeve on his right arm that is starting to extend to his chest and shoulder

It consists of imagery from planets they’ve visited on campaigns and also contains tributes to his fallen brothers

He has a small blue tattoo mimicking Hardcase’s face tattoos in the sleeve, he has a handprint somewhere near his elbow, and he also has a small 5 hidden in there somewhere as well

Fives

obviously his 5 tattoo on his temple

He has a simplistic style Z-6 Rotary blaster on his tricep as a tribute to Hevy (Echo has the same design)

He and Echo got 99 tattooed on their back right side to honor 99

He has a detailed krayt dragon skull on his back

He has the words ‘call me captain’ on the inside of his left arm (definitely wasn’t drunk)

After the citadel Fives got a small handprint tattooed where Echo’s handprint had been on his own armor

The tattoo that he will never speak of is a replica of one of the 212ths ship nose art depicting Commander Cody in a twi’lek dancer pose, complete with the bare legs and over exaggerated proportions.

And its on his left ass cheek.

Jesse has a picture of this tattoo and will use it as blackmail

Echo

he also has the same Z-6 rotary blaster design but its on his right thigh

He has a detailed Rishi eel down his spine to honor Cutup

He has a matching 99 tattoo with fives 

After joining the 501st he got a skeleton handprint on his chest under where Rex’s handprint is on his armor

definitely has his favorite reg manual protocol tattooed somewhere, but its not the whole protocol, just the number (its order 69 because he things its absolutely hilarious and he was a little drunk)

He as the words “or call me sir” on the inside of his left arm (definitely wasn’t drunk)

after he is rescued from Skako minor he gets a 5 tattooed over his heart

On his left arm he gets 4 dominos, 1/0-5/0 but the 3rd domino is missing because that was his number in their squad

Under his 501st blue band he gets a new red and black band for his new squad

Hardcase

obviously his cool blue face and head tattoos, oh and those extend down his back and arm where the line turns into his 501st blue band

he has his favorite rotary blaster tattooed with a name banner and flowers around it on his right arm

The name is Jennifer because he names his blasters

he would probably get a quote he really likes on his forearm

Rex

he has a tribute to all his closest brothers down his right side

handprint for Echo, 5 for Fives, blue for Hardcase, lightning bolts for Kix, republic cog for Jesse, tear drop for Tup, V for Dogma, Wolffe pack symbol for Wolffe, red band for Fox, Bly’s yellow face markings, etc

he has a script tattoo on his side from an old mandalorian story that Jango told the cadets when they were young, Cody has the same script as Rex

he got the Fulcrum symbol after Malachor

Ahsoka and the 501st Headcannons

- Ahsoka is known for going to the barracks to comfort troopers after a campaign. She will sit with them for hours and listen to them and offer a shoulder to cry on. It’s not uncommon to find a group of shinies huddled around her on the floor

- Speaking of shinies, some of them (esp when Ahsoka was still pretty small) they’d hug onto her like she was a stuffed toy, and she didn’t mind at all. If it made her trooper feel better then she would do so happily

- If a trooper finds something cool on a campaign, like a pretty rock or a flower, they will give it to her and she keeps all the little gifts they give her

- She has lets some of Torrent play around with her sabers, and even taught Fives some of the basic lightsaber stances so they could mock duel

- Ahsoka knows what kind of music each trooper likes and will share songs she finds that she thinks they will like with them. She also was able to barter for a portable speaker that they could keep in the barracks or rec room

- She and Fives started a prank war that eventually involved all of the 501st and the 212th

- Echo helps Ahsoka study because he’s actually enjoys reading ‘boring’ stuff. Jedi temple work is actually a lot more interesting than REG manuals

- It started with Jesse, but one day while he was bored in the rec room, he asked Ahsoka (who was doing course work) if he could try to do a push up with her sitting on him (like in some of the holovideos he’s seen). She says yes. Rex walks in to see Jesse doing pushups while Ahsoka is typing out an essay on his back

- Pretty soon there is a competition between the veterans in the 501st on who can do the most pushups with Ahsoka sitting on them. Hardcase held the record until Rex stepped in and beat him by double 

- There is an ongoing debate on how tall Ahsoka is, she argues that you measure from the tips of her montrals, her men argue its the top of her forehead. 

- “Why would you measure from my forehead my mortals are literally attached to my head, the ARE the top of my head!” “even if we measured from your montrals, you still short as kriff.”

- Because Togruta don’t have hair, she is fascinated by it. Originally she only messed with Anakin’s hair but soon her men started letting her touch their hair was well. She would sit there playing with it for hours if they would let her (and many times they did because it feels good)

- They began teaching her some sayings in Manda’o and in return she taught them a few things in Togruti

- they all complain whenever they have to fly with her, but in reality they prefer her flying to their generals (and she is actually a very good flyer but they would never admit that)

- If Ahsoka hears someone insult her or say anything inappropriate about her, she ignores it, you say something about one of her troopers, she will not hesitate to jump them (Rex has had to haul her away from many brawls)

- If the troopers hear someone insult them they ignore it, if someone catcalls or insults their commander that person better pray to whatever god they believe in because they are about to meet their maker

- Ahsoka and Anakin started a karaoke tradition with the 501st but it stopped after Ahsoka left the order

- After Ahsoka left the order the clones still found themselves picking up small gifts on campaigns, and some chose to keep them with them in case Ahsoka ever came back

The 501st at 79’s incite an arm wrestling competition. Fives is on a winning streak until Jesse beats him, Jesse continues to win against 501st and any other battalion that wants to try until Hardcase beats him.

No one particularly wants to go up against Hardcase, knowing full well that Heavy Class troopers are normally stronger than your average trooper. The few that do try against Hardcase walk away with sore hands and arms.

Hardcase is content to bask in the glory of winning when Echo sits down across from him.

“Sure you wanna go kid?” Hardcase asks with a smirk.

“Try me.” Echo replies with a mischievous grin.

The take their positions, hands clasped together, waiting for Ridge to give to start call. Around them bets were being exchanged amongst the gathered troopers, all but a few betting on Hardcase. Right before the older trooper could called it out, Exho dropped Hardcase’s hand, licked his palm and regrabbed Hardcase’s hand.

Hardcase attempted to recoil, a disgusted look on his face but Echo held on and slammed his hand down.

Everyone was quiet for a moment before the few troopers that had bet on Echo cheered. Those that lost began to argue that Echo had cheated, all while the trooper himself sits back with a smug and satisfied look on his face.

Out of the corner of his eye he watched as Fives grumbled and handed some credits over to Kix.

Just adding onto my post but George is largely considered the Commander’s Shiny, despite the nickname he joined the 121st battalion just shy of 2 years into the war so was most certainly not a shiny by the end of the war.

The commander he’s close to is Not Maverick, he is quite close to Commander Can’trono, the Jedi commander of the 121st. She is the one that inspired him to pick his name and he has her horn patterns painted on his helmet.

I did a little sheet of tem references and decided to turn them into some clone bois! The top one and bottom right are my Clone commander Maverick (CC-1207) and the bottom left is a new guy his name is George and his number CT-6367. For any who care he is the certified baby of the battalion.

I’m still trying to nail down Maverick’s hair because I want it to be mullet like but I want it to be a cool mullet and hair is actually the worst thing to draw

I also decided to throw Tup in here because I already had a long haired boy so TUP MY BOY
