ok im glad that the hype for watakekkon didn't disappoint. I'm caught up with the manga and honestly I just really thought it was like oh arranged marriage...I didn't expect so much drama! 0_0 like the drama has stakes and trauma and we're only really finished with the first part. the second part has much higher stakes now and we dunno if this puts miyo in danger, both from her gift possibly being uncontrolled and powerful and from kyouka being in a high position in the military. i bought the first two volumes of the light novel bc im intrigued tho i dunno when i'll get to them but im looking forward to reading more.

i recently caught up to witch watch.

i really just do enjoy anything kento shinohara comes out with. SKET dance is my favorite shounen manga and it's far from perfect but the heart!!! the heart of it all!!

i like how he took the gags in sketdan and tightened it + the story making skills he developed in astra and weaved it into witch watch. like i feel the gags hit better now and the general pacing isn't as slow. i feel like the overarching story is pretty evident and the romance is properly developed. i've been so !!!!!!! with keigo/nemu lmaoooo and ive had a slow burn with moi/nico. they're not even a slow burn but it's also just nice seeing all their friends trying to help nico out with her love.

the current arc is hmmm it'll be very interesting where this will go.

ofc i got emotional over the sketdan crossover ofc i did.

i do think that some jokes hit better if animated bc the text is sooooooo long but skimming thru it gets u the same impact if you understand the gist at least

or

if you're japanese bc stuff like puns won't work with the language barrier. i think the tls are ofc trying their best to do it regardless, but some things are hard to express in other languages (as a bilingual i will attest to that)

anyway, it's really fun. i dont think it's that popular but hopefully it can get an anime like its predecessors and rise up to some sorta popularity like the other two did hehe
