Do you like Zines? Do you wish you could get your hands on some out of print zines? Do you have zine pdfs or scans just lying around? Introducing my ZINE SPREADSHEET

While currently mostly Danganronpa heavy (it's what i have the most zines from) its to be an archive of all the zines I have saved and Zines I know about but have zero copies of! It will contain links to a google drive containing each zine, while also a link to any website still reliably selling the zine by the organizer, aka gumroad, it's basically all gumroad in those cases

If you have a zine pdf or scan or anything saved and you don't see it on the list? Get in contact so I can get a copy to archive and update the spreadsheet! Even if the fandom is not currently listed on the bottom tab, I am more then happy to add it!

There's also zines that are available for purchase that I haven't bought due to budgetary reasons listed as well, in case you have the spare change I currently don't have for it!

I've gotten nothing else done today but I am happy to report that after trying to get this done for YEARS, all 709 of my public AO3 bookmarks are now in Calibre!

I am now slowly making progress on the 1100+ fics I've saved on FFN *winces*

If you're interested in doing this, please lmk! I'm sure there are tutorials online already but I do have some hacks to streamline stuff as well.

Alright so here's the thing. I don't own a lot in the way of super valuable or rare merchandise, but what I do have is a very particular doujinshi crossover of a very particular pair of shows.

Problem 1: I have *never* seen this doujin before or since, I could not even tell you who created it.

Problem 2: *Because* of its rarity, I'm constantly torn between preserving it as-is, or dissecting it and scanning it for the greater YST and PGSM communities to enjoy a piece of shared history.

Help me out folks.

Call it being up late, but I had the realization that if Tumblr ever goes down (or goes through another purge like in 2018) then we'll potentially lose the YGO shiplists, which are all in the form of Tumblr blogs.

The end result is that I now have copies of all shiplists from DM through ARC V backed up as text documents. VRAINS, Sevens, and Go Rush will follow later hopefully.

In light of Iskall and Stress’s decisions to leave Hermitcraft, I ask all the fan-content creators to PLEASE NOT DELETE STUFF ASSOCIATED WITH THEM RIGHT AWAY. ESPECIALLY FICS. We don’t know the full context, and plus, it’s a part of Hermitblr History. At the very least, if you don’t want to be associated with their content, orphan the works or repost them anonymously. Heck, send them to me, just so we have an archive! Hermitblr has been so good about separating the ccs from the characters, so let’s not let interpersonal conflicts between the ccs majorly affect our enjoyment of the characters, especially with what little we know.

Edit 2: Due to the way asks with Media work, if you send me fanart of Stress or Iskall, I will make it a separate post so as to not include or reveal your user. Alternatively, I can make a Google Form? Lmk.

Edit 3: WE OFFICIALLY HAVE A GOOGLE SHEETS MASTERDOC!! I’m working on formatting it so things are easier to find. Add images, links to both the original and your Wayback Machine Archives, credits, and more! I’ll get working on an anonymous google form.

You ever remember an artist you came across years back who made some really amazing Gravity Falls fanart? Then when you try looking for them again, their account is gone and all that remains are a few reposts?

Agentkelly13 was one of those. Miss her Gravity Falls fan art a lot.

Luckily, someone years back bothered to make a Wayback archive of all her Gravity Falls fanart and so, we have nearly all of it saved and I backed it up to a drive. At least...all her Tumblr art...much of her Deviantart GF art is lost now. Still, gotta love archivists!

Here's a selection of some of the almost 60 works saved...

My archive work isn't just for official GF content...but also fanart I feel is too important, wholesome or memorable to not allow to be lost to time.

Discord is also cracking down on image sharing, particularly hotlinking [definition], so watch out for that; just last night I came across some author's notes featuring an image that was hotlinked from Discord servers and therefore not loading.

Unfortunately, sometimes your best bet really is to get a third party image hosting service and to copy/paste text prompts in the notes.

I'm always seeing AO3 works with notes saying "Based on this fanfic prompt: [dead tumblr link]" or "Inspired by this fanart: [dead tumblr link]" or "[person] made this amazing fan edit of my story! Check it out:[dead tumblr link]."

Source posts disappear all the time on tumblr.

But reblogs don't!

So I am begging tumblr/AO3 users:

If you want to link a tumblr post in one of your AO3 works, please first reblog the post to your own tumblr blog, and then link your reblog, instead of linking the source post directly. That way your AO3 the link will keep working, even if the OP deletes.
