Actually, my favorite scenes in Bridgerton season 3 part 1 are all those little moments in Episode 3 where Colin is just awkward™ after the kiss.

Colin: she's a good... Aquaintance ... Of the family's... Of course.

Benedict: are you alright?

Or when they meet in the park and they both struggle to find their next words so Colin simply agrees to everything Pen says, his mind completely brain empty. At the same time, he like, follows the movement of her lips when she stutters, and he's stuttering as well, as though he's trying to find the words for her, in case she doesn't. It's so adorable. He's panicking.

Or when Eloise mentions she talked to Pen, he's like:

"what did she say?" As if he's convinced Pen confided in Eloise about the kiss. And he desperately wants to know if Pen can't stop thinking about it either, like dream Pen told him she couldn't. That man is already preparing to propose, he just needs to know if it matters as much to her as it does to him because Pen seems so composed in his eyes.

That's why he asks his mother on what to do and why he then beelines to Pen. He's just so nervous that he misses the timing. And then he realizes he's too late. And he believes Pen found her right match. And he wants her to be happy, so he tries to drown himself in alcohol and ladies. Only it makes him feel worse.

And then, well, he hears she's gonna marry Debling and Colin loses it. He should be happy for her. This was the goal. But he can't - not without knowing for certain what she feels. And perhaps she does feel the same. After all, when she bandaged his hand, she was so gentle and - colin just HAS to know.

But she says she's going to accept the proposal and Colin knows it's a mistake. He can't let this happen. So he follows her to the carriage and tries to talk her out of it, not even considering that any man could be so foolish NOT to ask for her hand.

Anyway, I love awkward colin.

Also I love when fandom hops(going from one fandom to another) makes no goddam sense like..at all.

Like for example, Scott Pilgrim to The Catcher in the Rye(again) makes a little bit of sense cuz Scott does wear a hat that resembles Holden's hat. Not much but still.

I know I only post here sometimes but thought I'd update the blog since it's been a while. I'd like to continue my Exocolonist fic but I'll need to replay the game and soon I'll be busy playing Baldur's Gate 3 (and Starfield when I have the money for that) so... not sure when I'll have the time for that. But hey BG3 fanart hopefully? :D Sorry about the fandom hopping! I still want to continue playing Deadfire and Wrath of the Righteous though. Just not sure when. I also been watching a lot of Chicago PD on Prime cause I have a crush on Voight/Jason and started reading some reader x fics and omg it made me want to give writing a try again too ugh. Idk if I'd share it cause it'd probably suck. Well I just have a silly self insert for shameless self shipping lmao I'm sorry, I get bad celebrity crushes sometimes, I think it can be harmless fun though. But reader x is so fun. So I've been doodling some actors from series I like and also other male faces from imagination just because I want to get better at drawing them. I posted them on... threads? I think. And maybe bluesky. (Oh yeah I got an invite for that) But I intend to post them here once they stop sucking too much. Although I cut my finger today so drawing is a bit difficult atm. Rae: maybe you could court her - by telling her you want to help her on how to court? She seems to struggle with that around people

Colin: are you saying Pen has no charisma? She's the most charismatic woman I know!

Rae: yes, around you!

Colin: *oblivious* well, we are friends. Maybe, I just have to help her find a husband and use all her flirting skills on me and then - tadaaa, I'll reveal we were courting all along and then I propose. How does that sound?

Rae: are you going to survive that? The flirting, I mean? Also her flirting with other men?

Colin: oh... Good point. Make sure there is always something to drink where we are. Nothing helps to gather your wits than a good old glass of lemonade. But I wouldn't worry about other men. None of them deserve Pen. I'm certain she's aware of that

Rae: i'm going to buy very strong alcohol, my lord
