Tetris - Taron Egerton // Nikita Efremov

Often we fall in love with a video game without always knowing how it came to be. Tetris is one of my all-time favourite games that I've played on multiple platforms and even online with countless people. Only I never knew the full story behind it, and that changed as I watched Tetris the film.

A film that explores the story of how one of the world's most popular video games found its way to players around the globe. A biographical thriller that spends a large chunk of its time in soviet Russia and constantly had me wowed as I remembered it's based on a true story. I feel like this is a film I'll be thinking about for quite some time to come with all the new information I have to process around the game Tetris.

Not all video games adored by millions around the globe had a shining start. For some it's much darker and to some extent I like that. Knowing that even in the mids of hardship you can still go to become a top global seller.

Overall this is a film id very much watch again and highly recommend. It's on Apple tv a streaming platform with a seven-day free trial. On this note, I'm off to play some online Tetris.

As part of my love for this film, I made some fan graphics based on the soundtrack. I used the songs The Final Countdown by Europe, and I need a hero by Bonnie Tyler.

Usagi chronicles character graphics

Some simpler character graphics! The kana are probably wrong, (I checked from the official JP subs, but just for Gen and Usagi) but I wanna show this WIP - Usagi Chronicles character graphics! This also doubled as me trying out all my comic fonts on the character's names (and so I can decide which to use for my anniversary piece)

idk how to make these at all (I usually draw) but I thought it would be nice to try. And I really like the look of some of these! I'll have to keep experimenting to see what else I can find and try.
