Step-by-step divorce process in Kurukshetra explained
In this article we have explained Divorce Process in Kurukshetra in step by step manner.
Step-by-step divorce process in Kurukshetra explained
Navigating the divorce process in Kurukshetra, a city with its unique legal environment within the Indian state of Haryana, can be a challenging journey. This comprehensive guide aims to demystify the process, providing a clear, step-by-step outline tailored for those seeking to understand the nuances of obtaining a divorce in Kurukshetra. Whether you're facing the initial contemplation of divorce or are deep into the legal proceedings, this article will serve as your roadmap.
Step 1: Understanding the Grounds for Divorce
Before initiating any legal process, it's crucial to understand on what grounds you can file for divorce in Kurukshetra. Indian law recognizes several grounds such as cruelty, desertion, conversion to another religion, mental disorder, communicable disease, renunciation of the world, and adultery. Identifying the appropriate grounds for your case is the first critical step.
Step 2: Seeking Legal Consultation
It is advisable to consult with a legal expert specializing in family law in Kurukshetra. A seasoned lawyer can provide personalized advice based on the specifics of your case, help you understand your rights and responsibilities, and guide you on the most strategic path forward.
Contact Divorce Lawyer in Kurukshetra
Step 3: Filing the Divorce Petition
Once you have your grounds for divorce and legal counsel, the next step is to file a divorce petition in the Family Court of Kurukshetra. Your petition should include all relevant details such as marriage date, place of marriage, grounds for divorce, current living arrangements, and information about any children from the marriage.
Step 4: Serving the Notice
After the divorce petition is filed, the court will issue a notice to the other spouse, serving them with the petition. This step ensures that the other party is informed about the divorce proceedings and has an opportunity to present their side.
Step 5: Responding to the Petition
The spouse on the receiving end of the divorce petition has the opportunity to file a response. They may agree to the divorce, in which case the process can move more smoothly, or they may contest the divorce, leading to a more complicated legal battle.
Step 6: Mediation and Counseling
In cases where there is a disagreement, the court often recommends mediation. Mediation involves a neutral third party helping the couple reach an agreement. Additionally, the court might recommend counseling sessions to explore the possibility of reconciliation.
Step 7: Trial and Evidence
If mediation and counseling do not result in reconciliation or agreement, the case proceeds to trial. Both parties present evidence and arguments to support their claims. This step can be lengthy, depending on the complexity of the case and the evidence presented.
Step 8: Final Judgment and Decree
After considering all evidence and arguments, the court will pass its judgment. If the divorce is granted, a divorce decree is issued, officially dissolving the marriage. It's important to obtain a copy of the decree for your records.
Conclusion
The divorce process in Kurukshetra involves multiple steps, from understanding legal grounds to obtaining a final decree. It's a path fraught with emotional and legal complexities. Armed with the right information and legal support, navigating this process can be made somewhat smoother. Remember, every divorce case is unique, and it's essential to seek personalised legal advice tailored to your specific circumstances.

Uncovering the Contributions of Life Coaches in Family Counselling
Life coaches play a significant role in family counselling by offering a unique perspective and set of skills. They bring a fresh approach to the table, focusing on personal growth, goal-setting, and accountability.
With their expertise in communication and relationship dynamics, life coaches help families navigate through challenges, improve their overall well-being, and foster stronger connections within the family unit.
Importance of family counselling in maintaining healthy relationships and resolving conflicts
Being able to effectively communicate and resolve conflicts within a family is crucial for maintaining healthy relationships. Family counselling provides a safe and supportive environment for all members to express their thoughts and feelings, leading to improved understanding and empathy.
It also helps identify underlying issues and patterns that may be contributing to conflicts, allowing families to develop effective strategies for resolution. Ultimately, family counselling promotes growth, healing, and stronger bonds among family members.
Role of a Life Coach in Family Counselling
●       Providing guidance and support to families in crisis or facing challenges
A life coach can help families identify their strengths and weaknesses, and assist them in setting achievable goals to overcome their challenges. Additionally, they can offer valuable tools and techniques to improve communication and problem-solving skills within the family dynamic.
●       Assisting in improving communication skills within the family
A life coach can help family members learn effective communication strategies, such as active listening and expressing emotions healthily. By improving communication skills, family members can better understand each other's perspectives and resolve conflicts more effectively.
Moreover, a life coach in India can also facilitate family meetings or sessions to promote open and honest communication among all members.
●       Helping families set and achieve goals for personal and collective growth
Personal growth can be fostered through individual coaching sessions, where family members can work on developing their strengths and overcoming challenges.
Additionally, a life coach can assist the family in setting collective goals, such as improving relationships or creating a harmonious home environment, and provide guidance and support in achieving them.
Conclusion
In summary, counselling for family plays a crucial role in fostering healthy relationships by creating a safe space for open communication and emotional expression. It enables families to gain a deeper understanding of each other's perspectives and address underlying issues that may be causing conflicts.
Through this process, families can develop effective strategies for resolving conflicts and ultimately strengthen their bonds, leading to growth and healing within the family unit.

Okay, so, either the trailer for Monkey Man was horribly put together, or I completely misunderstood what was presented, because I had NO IDEA what I was getting into. The entire plot took me completely by surprise several times.
This film is deliberately political. I can't recall the last time I saw an action film have such a clear focus on government. It's relatively common for the Big Bad to be a person in government -- that makes them an even bigger threat because in addition to the Criminal Thugs they employ they also have the Police and Media on their side -- but when this happens their actual politics don't matter. They're also a drug dealer, or human trafficker, and that's what the hero is fighting against. Usually we don't even learn what their politics even are. We may see them give a speech saying "Family values!" intercut with them doing drugs and having sex so we know they're a hypocrite, but that's the extent of it. In this film we know that the villains are part of the Hindu Nationalist movement, and are encouraging violence against religious minorities and gender-nonconforming people throughout India.
The condemnation is so direct that I'm not surprised Netflix backed out of distributing out of fear of the backlash in India. The only way the film could have been bolder would be if they used actual political party names instead of the "We're not actually saying 'Bharatiya Janata Party'" angle.
I was also completely unprepared for the inclusion of the hijra temple commune. I was already surprised just by the mention of crime against trans people on the news in the film, but then the main characters finds himself rescued and rehabilitated and welcomed into their society with open arms. They counsel him both philosophically and physically, and prepare him to resume his quest. And then they join him!
A literal army of trans women toppling the oppressive power structure was not on my BINGO card, I'll tell you that.

This movie was intense and an experience, and if you can see it in theaters I say you go right now!

9 Queer Movies from the 1990s You May Not Have Heard Of
It's New Years, which means it's time for lists. And while everyone else is doing 'top X of 2023,' I've decided to list 9 queer movies from the 1990s. Why? Because I wanna. Plus, in discussions of representation, I often see folks talk about it with a heavy focus on mainstream 'Hollywood' produced movies, which leads folks to talk as though progress has been linear. As if, in the past there was no/'bad' queer representation and now there is 'good' representation. But of course it's not that simple. Plenty of amazing queer movies were produced in the past decades...they were just indie movies and thus difficult to find in a world prior to Netflix and Mubi and whatnot. But now we have streaming services, so allow me to share some of my favorites from the before times (specifically the 1990s).
Without further ado....here is an alphabetical list of queer movies from the 90s you may not have heard of (especially if you're under 30).
--
Tumblr media
Beautiful Thing (1996) (dir. Hettie Macdonald)
Before there was Heartstopper, there was Beautiful Thing. It's a story about two gay teens, one sporty and one very much not sporty...and about how they deal with pressure to come out and pressure to hide who they are. It's a very sweet coming of age story, really. However, unlike Heartstopper, in Beautiful Thing the economic class of the protagonists plays an important role in the story (the characters all live on a counsel estate in London). The characters stories are nearly as much about them being working class as it is about the two main character being gay. It's one of the first movies I ever saw about gay teens, and I loved it. I still get a wistful smile every time I hear Mama Cass Elliot's "Make Your Own Kind of Music." (cw for parental abuse)
--
Tumblr media
Edward II (1991) (dir. Derek Jarman)
The real Edward II was King of England for 20 years in the 14th century. At the end of the 16th century, Christopher Marlowe wrote a play about Edward's reign and eventual downfall. In 1991, Derek Jarman streamlined Marlowe's play and brought all the homosexual subtext between Edward and Gaveston way out front. In the film, Edward II is in prison and reflects on the events which have led him to that point. The trouble begins when Edward takes the throne and brings his exiled lover, Gaveston, back to England. All around them the rest of the aristocracy (including Edward's wife) conspire to bring Gaveston down. The movie itself is anachronistic (set in 1991), with minimal sets and costume, and staged a lot like a play. A lot of the dialogue is right out of Marlowe's play, though there are some changes to the story (notably at the end). It's honestly my favorite Derek Jarman movie, and frankly one of my favorite movies, full stop. (cw for blood, animal corpses, violent death)
--
Tumblr media
Fire (1996) (dir. Deepa Mehta)
Fire is the first film in the Elements Trilogy written and directed by Deepa Mehta. Each film in the trilogy is about different characters in India, with the connection between the three being thematic rather than plot or character. Fire is about two Indian women, Radha and Sita, who form a bond through their struggles living within a traditional "joint-family" (i.e. a family where all extended family live together and all money and resources are shared). The women in this family have very little agency and this film explores how the two main characters navigate through it. The men in this film are also repressed by the social structure in which they live, and this film spends some time looking at that as well. It's a film about queer desire between women living under patriarchy. (All the movies on this list are available on streaming services in the US, except Fire. However, I was able to find it uploaded to a random YouTube channel) (cw for someone catching on fire, brief domestic violence (a slap), and non-consensual kissing)
--
Tumblr media
Happy Together (1997) (dir. Wong Kar-wai)
In Happy Together, two men from Hong Kong travel to Argentina and eventually get stuck there when they run out of money and are unable to return home. The relationship between these two men is very tumultuous, with a lot of arguing and breaking up and getting back together. It's one of the first movies I saw in which queer folks have, just, regular ol' relationship drama - exasperated by the regular ol' struggles of life. (i cant remember if there are any content warnings i should put here; it's been a few years since i've seen it)
--
Tumblr media
Lilies (1996) (dir. John Greyson)
Lilies is a Canadian film in which a prisoner requests a bishop come to the prison to hear the prisoner's last confession. It quickly becomes clear, however, that the prisoners have something else in mind when they begin staging a play. It turns out the bishop and prisoner knew each other as teens, and the play is about the events in their lives that led up to the prisoner being put on trial. So you end up with a play-within-a-play (or rather a play-within-a-movie). The film weaves between the production staged in the prison and the memory of the events in a really fluid way. All the prisoners portray their characters in the 'memory' sections, which lends itself to some really great moments in the prison sections. And at the heart of this memory/story is a queer love story. (cw for parental abuse, murder, fire, and suicide)
--
Tumblr media
The Living End (1992) (dir. Gregg Araki)
This is a film about two young gay men who are diagnosed HIV positive. Unlike more mainstream films about HIV that came before (and after), The Living End wears its anger and pain on its sleeve. The entire world is entirely fucked up, and so these two men turn to a nihilistic outlook. The acting is just okay and some of the dialog is a bit ridiculous...but what draws me to rewatch this movie is the way that it conveys the emotion of the time. It's a ball of rage manifest on film. (cw for attempted suicide, rape, murder)
--
Tumblr media
Love is the Devil (1998) (dir. John Maybury)
One of the problems with the average biopic is that it attempts to portray a person's entire life in a single movie. Thankfully, Love is the Devil doesn't have that problem; it focuses on only 8 years of Francis Bacon's life - the time he spent with a man named George Dyer. By this point, Bacon was already an extremely famous artist (and, at least in the film, a bit of an asshole). Bacon meets Dyer as Dyer attempts to burgle Bacon's studio - and thus begins an extremely dysfunctional love affair. If you want to see Derek Jacobi and Daniel Craig portray this dysfunctional relationship, then this is the movie for you. Also, if you want to see a biopic that lets the subject of the film be portrayed as a shitty person, this is a film for you. (cw for bdsm, drug use, untreated mental illness, and suicide)
--
Tumblr media
Orlando (1992) (dir. Sally Potter)
From right out the gate, Orlando announces its queer themes by having Quentin Crisp portray Queen Elizabeth I, and Tilda Swinton portray Orlando (a man). From the first scenes it becomes clear that gender is going to be a main theme in the movie. Orlando is a young man who will never grow old and never die. He begins life in the 1500s, during Queen Elizabeth's reign, and we see him (and later, her) throughout the centuries between then and 'present' day (1992). The film is broken into thematic chunks (poetry, politics, society, etc). In each of these chunks we see Orlando's life as it reflects the social norms of the time (especially gender norms).
--
Tumblr media
Swoon (1992) (dir. Tom Kalin)
Like Rope (1948) and Compulsion (1959), Swoon is a film about the Leopold and Loeb murder. Unlike the earlier films, Swoon makes the gay relationship between Leopold and Loeb explicit. Their relationship in the film is fairly uneven, with Loeb being characterized as more of an explicit manipulator. Leopold, on the other hand, is driven more by wanting to please Leob. Complicating this dynamic is the way that Leopold is the one more interested in their sexual relationship. Is Loeb exchanging sex for help with his criminal activities? Or is Leopold committing crimes in order to elicit sex from Loeb? Or both...something a bit more complicated than either/or? The film, especially the latter half, eschews and lampoons the sensationalism of the reporting of the crime from the time. (cw for murder, blood (in black and white), and animal corpses)
--
Honorable mention goes to more well-known movies I didn't put on this list, such as: But I'm a Cheerleader, Velvet Goldmine, Bound, Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Birdcage, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, My Own Private Idaho, Bent...there are actually a whole lot of queer movies from the 1990s, now that I think about it.

Creative Ways to Avoid Pointless Arguments among Couples
Conflicts happen in all relationships. While constructive conflicts or arguments can be healthy for a relationship, repeated fights are stressful and toxic for the relationship. The sooner you realize that many of these arguments or constant bickering are trivial and meaningless, the better it is for you.  Instead of letting minor disagreements escalate into full-blown arguments, couples can try implementing strategies to nip them in the bud and maintain harmony in their relationship.

NEW YORK (AP) — The National Rifle Association and its former longtime leader were found liable Friday in a lawsuit centered on the organization’s lavish spending.
The New York jury found that Wayne LaPierre, who was the NRA’s CEO for three decades, misspent millions of dollars of the group’s money on pricey perks, and it ordered him to repay the group $4,351,231. Jurors also found that the NRA omitted or misrepresented information in its tax filings and violated New York law by failing to adopt a whistleblower policy.
LaPierre, 74, sat stone-faced in the front row of the courtroom as the verdict was read aloud. The jury actually found him liable for $5.4 million, but it determined he’d already paid back a little over a million.
The verdict is a win for New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat who campaigned on investigating the NRA’s not-for-profit status. It is the latest blow to the powerful group, which in recent years has been beset by financial troubles and dwindling membership. LaPierre, its longtime face, announced his resignation on the eve of the trial.
NRA general counsel John Frazer and retired finance chief Wilson Phillips were also defendants in the case. Phillips was ordered to pay $2 million in damages to the NRA. Frazer, meanwhile, was found to have violated his duties, but was not ordered to pay any money.
The penalties paid by LaPierre and Phillips will go back to the NRA, which was portrayed in the case both as a defendant that lacked internal controls to prevent misspending and as a victim of that same misconduct.
James also wants the three men to be banned from serving in leadership positions at any charitable organizations that conduct business in New York. A judge will decide that question during the next phase of the state Supreme Court trial.
Another former NRA executive turned whistleblower, Joshua Powell, settled with the state last month, agreeing to testify at the trial, pay the NRA $100,000 and forgo further involvement with nonprofits.
James sued the NRA and its executives in 2020 under her authority to investigate not-for-profits registered in the state.
She originally sought to have the entire organization dissolved, but Manhattan Judge Joel M. Cohen ruled in 2022 that the allegations did not warrant a “corporate death penalty.”
The trial, which began last month, cast a spotlight on the leadership, organizational culture and finances of the powerful lobbying group, which was founded more than 150 years ago in New York City to promote rifle skills and grew into a political juggernaut that influenced federal law and presidential elections.
Before he stepped down, LaPierre, had led the NRA’s day-to-day operations since 1991, acting as its face and becoming one of the country’s most influential figures in shaping gun policy.
During the trial, state lawyers argued that he dodged financial disclosure requirements while treating the NRA as his personal piggy bank, liberally dipping into its coffers for African safaris and other questionable expenditures.
His lawyer cast the trial as a political witch hunt by James.
LaPierre billed the NRA more than $11 million for private jet flights and spent more than $500,000 on eight trips to the Bahamas over a three-year span, state lawyers said.
He also authorized $135 million in NRA contracts for a vendor whose owners showered him with free trips to the Bahamas, Greece, Dubai and India, as well as access to a 108-foot (33-meter) yacht.
LaPierre claimed he hadn’t realized the travel tickets, hotel stays, meals, yacht access and other luxury perks counted as gifts, and that the private jet flights were necessary for his safety.
But he conceded that he had wrongly expensed private flights for his family and accepted vacations from vendors doing business with the NRA without disclosing them.
Among those who testified at the trial was Oliver North, a one-time NRA president and former National Security Council military aide best known for his central role in the Iran-Contra scandal of the 1980s. North, who resigned from the NRA in 2019, said he was pushed out after raising allegations of financial irregularities.
After reporting a $36 million deficit in 2018 fueled largely by misspending, the NRA cut back on longstanding programs that had been core to its mission, including training and education, recreational shooting and law enforcement initiatives. In 2021, it filed for bankruptcy and sought to incorporate in Texas instead of New York, but a judge rejected the move, saying it was an attempt to duck James’ lawsuit.
Despite its recent woes, the NRA remains a political force. Republican presidential hopefuls flocked to its annual convention last year and former President Donald Trump spoke at an NRA event earlier this month — his eighth speech to the association, it said.

Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old Walmart employee who was found dead in the store’s walk-in oven on Saturday in Canada.
Halifax Regional Police in the province of Nova Scotia, were called to the Walmart at 6990 Mumford Road at 9:30 p.m. where they found the young woman deceased.
The woman “was located in a large walk-in oven belonging to the store’s bakery department,” police said in an update Tuesday.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and a cause and manner of death have not yet been confirmed.
Investigators are working with Occupational Health and Safety as well as the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service in the case.
Officials have not said if the circumstances of the woman’s death are criminal in nature.
The Maritime Sikh Society in Halifax told CBC News that it is in touch with the mother of the victim, noting the mother and daughter are originally from India and came to Canada two to three years ago.
“It’s a really tragic incident and everybody is deeply hurt by this, and we are waiting for the police investigation to come out,” Balbir Singh told the outlet. “We would like to know what happened to this young woman.”
Walmart closed the store until further notice.
"We are heartbroken and our deepest thoughts are with our associate and their family. Our focus remains on taking care of our associates and making sure they have the support they need," a Walmart spokesperson said in a statement. "As police have stated, this is a very complex matter and the investigation is ongoing."
The company is providing virtual care and on-site support including grief counseling to store employees.
The Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration said it issued a stop-work order Tuesday for the bakery and one piece of equipment at the store.
"Please note, workplace investigations are complex and can take time," a department spokesperson said.
