I'll be honest, I've seen a bit of Starfield (Cam bought it) and I'm not impressed. Can't say I've expected anything different either unfortunately, with how Bethesda has been conducting business lately. I don't feel any particular way about it and I doubt I'll be playing it anytime soon.

have there ever been date-based quests in Bethesda games? like obv most side quests start when you hear rumors, or talk to someone, or receive a letter, or just explore, but have there ever been quests limited, or triggered, by the in-game date?

like a side quest that can only occur in june, or during a specific week, or that starts on a specific date.

maybe there’s something to be done with that... but I’m not sure how that mechanic could truly lend itself - uniquely - to a story quest.

i feel like the passage of time - having a definitive current date - in bethesda games is kind of underutilized. but then to what extent should the date be used? it can also be a hindrance for players who may not be able to play long enough to get to that date, or whatever the case may be, you know?

also for all the 'nonbinary options' bg3 apparently has, its cc is still so rigidly binary that it doesnt even fucking matter for me. whats the point in putting facial hair on the fem heads when they look like shitty fake beards. cant even universally swap between fem and masc heads. cant have facial sliders Because Reasons.
