man. seeing your f/o relationship with yes man makes me yearn for the feeling of being attached to a character again. i havent latched onto a character in a really long time and it feels so lonely without them, even going back to old f/o's doesnt feel the same i just love the whole thing of having fictional loves and having them kind of live in your head with you and bringing them with you into everything you do, i havent felt that in so long 💔 but it makes me happy to see you talk about them in the ways that i used to feel, im so glad you have yes man 💙 he's a wonderful f/o to have (i have had him as one as well UwU)

I absolutely get where you're coming from friend, I'd been struggling with feeling a similar way for a long time before Yes Man had come back into my life the way he has. Its a rough place to be, especially when going back to previous characters you felt that way about doesn't seem to click anymore... I'm wishing you well, and that things line up and you do find a character that fills that need for you- in my own experience it can certainly come at times or from places you don't quite expect!

And thank you!! He really is, something about him really has made him stand out from all the other F/Os I've had, so it's no wonder he's had the same effect on other people as well!

Started a playthru for an omega ruby romhack so I'm thinking about pokemon AU stuff with Yes Man again... General idea I have is he's meant to be a pokedex/ other pokemon research related AI on par with how the rotomdex functions (either as a thing being developed before rotomdexes became a thing or maybe during/ after that as a way of trying to get a rotomdex without having to have a pokemon in every single one) and since my pokemon S/I is a ranger they get tasked with running field tests with him etc. Maybe I'm a little reluctant at first but as we warm up to each other we realize we have plenty in common and make a good team the way we cover each other's weak spots... It's a fun concept for sure! I'm not sure if he'd end up being a trainer, as fun as it is to think up a pokemon team for him. Maybe he'd just have pokemon friends. I like the idea of him befriending a rotom that mistakes him for a rotomdex/ other pokemon at the very least...

Was going through stuff and realized since the 22nd of this month it's been a whole year since I got back together with Yes Man... insane how fast time flies. Even crazier that once March is here it'll have been seven years since I first started self shipping with him! Part of me can't help but be a little sad he hadn't been my main F/O through all that time but I think I know it's for the better. I've changed soooo much from the first time he was my F/O and now that I'm not at the literal lowest part of my life I think things were just. Meant to work out this way and all...

Had a very good dream about teaching Yes Man how to flip people off with his securitron claws. Very amusing to wake up from honestly. Am I a little sad it wasn't a sappier/ cuddly dream? A little bit. But sometimes. teaching your boyfriend how to properly tell someone to fuck off. is also love.

Thinking abt how Yes Man would absolutely enjoy listening to whatever insane workplace drama is going on where I work(its been an especially... interesting few weeks). Guy who would also love when I talk shit about our work machines because he's just a liiiiiittle prone to jealousy and he likes knowing he's the only machine for me 💖 This also translates to like. In FNV as well bc were probably always talking abt whatever the other families on the Strip are up to...

I've been writing dialogue + events for my Yes Man SDV mod and mannnn. Writing all the marriage dialogue is making me feel so 🥺... I know he means sooo much to me bc writing the dialogue for if u adopt a kid with him does not feel like. Horrible and stressful. But other than that writing everything else has been super great!! Idk getting to write Yes Man where he's got a good amt of friends and ppl who Don't make him want to blow up has been so nice like. He deserves it!!! His friendship with Maru is especially nice and I'm hoping I can give him some good dialogue abt his friendship with Penny. With that said it's also very funny writing how he feels abt people he can't stand. He'd gladly blow up Morris and Shane methinks. But he can't so he just does everything he can to make their lives harder a la Malicious Compliance and it rules I think.

I think he's a little over the top with romantic gestures especially at the start of things... Half because he really does just want to do stuff like that but also half feeling like he's gotta make a really good impression bc insecurities etc...

Torn between wanting to work more on Yes Man ukagaka's next update and dreading getting literally any sort of attention on it. I love him dearly but man it is SO draining when there's so many ppl using him... Maybe if I just don't update him for a year everyone will go away lmao.

I was thinking abt how everyone draws Yes Man with little common like. Added design things, ie the gap in his teeth, little eyelashes, the black eyelids like he kinda has in those scrapped expressions... but I think one of my favorite ones has to be when they give him little eyeline creases. Like so

Idk it's so like... delightfully charming to me. Really adds something to his expressions hehe.

Been thinking abt how I write Yes Man. I think part of the reason I'm so excited to write SDV mod stuff for him is bc like. The ukagaka has been great to work on but bc he's interacting with you and really only you it doesn't really like... give a lot of opportunities for him to be catty/ sarcastic/ passive aggressive abt a lot bc its going on the assumption you're not like. Antagonizing him. So like outside of him being kinda judgy abt certain things even if he does like you or when he's talking about other ppl there's not a lot of that (for now at least. Future update plans will hopefully introduce something that fixes the lack of this and all).

But with the SDV mod there's a lot more like... context to it. And other ppl for him to interact with and have beef with and so on and so forth. So it gives me the opportunity to have a lot more fun with that side of him so I'm excited for that to say the least ^__^

Howdy! I'm Finn and this is my blog for selfship and self insert stuff! My one and only F/O is Yes Man from Fallout: New Vegas! I'm somewhere between nonsharing and selective- I don't mind others following me but I probably won't follow back if you also ship with Yes Man/ rb a lot of other Yes Man selfshippers art!
