Ghost as the villain in your version of the Little Mermaid.

Ghost as an octopus merman, the prince of a ruined kingdom— once, long ago, having asked for a chance to court you for your hand in marriage, and refused by your father. Between human intervention, and the lack of allied kingdoms, his lands fell to ruin. He lives isolated in a cave outside of your kingdom, practicing dark arts— a skill that comes naturally to someone with so much bitterness in their soul from tragedies suffered.

He cultivates a reputation. Someone who can grant wishes, for a price. A last hope for the desperate. You would risk something as unimportant as your life if it meant a chance at your dream, wouldn’t you?

That’s how he meets you. You’d never seen him, he’d been refused by your father before you’d ever even met him, but he remembers you. Once the object of his earnest desires, now an obsession— unknowingly a symbol of the start of his ruination.

And now, in a further mockery, you’re in love. With a human man. (If I was feeling extra evil I’d make it soap heehee).

But this is a golden opportunity for him. If you make a deal with him, he could start on a warpath of reclamation. To possess all of the things denied to him— starting with a sweet little princess for a wife.

“True love,” he says, trying to cull the venom that’s bubbling in his throat at the mere idea of you finding happiness with another. “You’d risk somethin’ for that, wouldn’t you, darlin’?”

“You win his heart, and you stay on land with him, yeah? If not… you’re mine. D’we have a deal, sweetness?” He doesn’t mention to you that all’s fair in love and war, and he’s had more than enough experience in the latter to earn victory in the former.

Did Cosmo and Wanda have a fairy Timmy back in the day? I hadn't watched A New Wish yet but iirc their relationship was strained by Timmy, I think because of the whole "no one aged for 50 years" thing in Timmy's Secret Wish. So would that mean Timmy messed up their marriage?

Yep! Timmy was Cosmo and Wanda's first fairy!

Cosmo and Wanda were newly weds with no support systems thus miserable enough to get their own fairy!

For the first few years, the three of them were perfect but Timmy overstayed his welcome, none of them wanting to lose this new family they created. Timmy used his magic to try and force a magic solution to make Cosmo and Wanda happy again, to varying levels of success.

New fairy management notices that Cosmo and Wanda seem to be getting more miserable despite having Timmy, so they get assigned a new fairy:

Chloe is here to fix all of Timmy's mistakes. But their happy little family isn't going to be separated so instead of being replaced, Timmy and Chloe end up as coworkers.

But even with two fairies, Cosmo and Wanda keep getting more miserable. With a fresh new set of eyes and someone to talk to, Timmy finally admits that the Fairywinkle-Cosmas might be better off without him since most of their conflict does seem to revolve around magic. So both Chloe and Timmy resign, erasing Cosmo's, Wanda's, Poof's Peri's and Sparky's memories of magic.

That day, the Fairywinkle-Cosma's pet goldfish, the one they got when they got their first house, dies. The whole family is very torn up about it, crying even though they don't know why they feel so strongly about losing this goldfish.

As for the whole 50 year time loop thing:

After granting that accidental wish, Timmy does not come clean about it for 50 years in fear of getting into trouble. A swap version of Timmy's Secret Wish does happen and undoes the time loop but yep, that wish absolutely contributed in the decline of their marriage. Not that Cosmo and Wanda would remember it anyways

It’s funny that Sumire is the one with the Cinderella persona and Akechi is the one with the prince outfit and yet the most Prince Charming-coded thing in the game is Joker holding onto a single glove, waiting for its owner to return after the magic that let them spend a brief time together was over. The glove is functionally the same as a glass slipper. So in conclusion detective prince? more like disney princess--

Can you guys imagine how fucked up Soap’s perspective would be as the prince in the little mermaid au.

Meets a girl on the beach. She can’t talk, but that’s fine— she’s insanely pretty and he can do enough talking for three people, nevermind two. He falls in love easily. She’s strange, refreshing. Let’s be real— she’s serving some manic pixie dream girl.

Then Simon comes along. A mysterious prince from a far off land (and reader doesn’t recognize him because he’s using a glamour and not wearing his signature mask). Johnny starts getting a little bisexual with it. Falls in love x2 due to his natural whore affinity.

Simon kisses him, and the girl sees, takes it as a rejection, runs off before Soap can stop her. When he returns from his unsuccessful chase, Simon is gone too— the servants tell him that Prince Simon received a pertinent letter and had to return to his homeland immediately. Both of Johnny’s loves having disappeared in the same night. Absolutely crushing.

And then a few days later he hears some sounds coming from a nearby beach cave. Sees the girl on her back, under Simon. Except they both have fish for their bottom halves. Different types of fish, but fish all the same. Simon’s tentacles wrapped around your wrists as he kisses you like a man starved. Your chest is covered in the strings of pearls you wear around you neck— intricately carved abalone shells made into beads and charms woven into your hair (classic mermaid wedding dressing, but Soap doesn’t know that). You’re surrounded by shimmering sea foam as the waves lap at your entwined bodies. Your cries and Simon’s guttural sounds echo with the sound of splashing off of the cave walls.

How is a man supposed to recover from that lol
