My Introduction Post!!!

Hello, everyone! I'm Garnet Skyesor, 21 years old, and my dream is to become a Gym Leader in my home region of Hoenn! I'm . . . not entirely sure how to GET there yet, but I'm doing my best to figure it out!

Back when I was 13, I did the Gym Challenge here in Hoenn, and actually got all the badges! I never ended up going to the league, though . . . it just didn't work out. But I made a lot of friends along the way, who've stayed with me all these years!

My squad is:

Skipper the Swampert, my awesome starter. He's a pretty calm guy, but helped carry me hard.

Endeavor the Gardevoir, the absolute QUEEN. She will not hesitate to mess you up if you mess with my guys.

Linear the Linoone, I originally named him Ziz but then realized "wait that's kinda stupid" and he agreed so we changed it. He's pretty good at helping me navigate out in the wild!

Quartz the Sableye, she's a bit odd but pretty fun. I didn't use her much during the Gym Challenge, but she was still pretty helpful!

Tory the Torkoal and Elec the Manectric--these two are actually parents to the wonderful Tory Jr, also a Torkoal! Tory is a fairly calm and wise mother, while Elec is a fun-loving energetic father. Tory Jr is fairly stubborn but sweet, and likes to follow me around.

Grassel the Wynaut, named after my old Math Teacher. He (my teacher) really liked making puns, so I named this silly little lad in his honor.

Amy the Skarmory, my super-fast flyer and a pretty dependable messenger! She's pretty sharp, like her feathers, but also really silly.

Minos the (SHINY!) Tauros, who I found on a short trip to Kanto about a year after my gym run. He's surprisingly silly for a Tauros, but we all enjoy his company, and he likes to help give me rides when I need it.

Matcha the Sinistcha, a newcomer to the team who I adopted from @ghost-pokemon-appreciator. She's a lot of fun so far, and she sounds pretty interested in joining my Gym Team! I'm still getting to know her, though.

Neutron the Mimikyu, a little guy received from mystery gift via @ask-games-galore! He is adorable and I love him and he's dressed as a Plusle/Minun and he's so CUTE AAAAAAA!!!

Elise the Froslass, a very fine lady adopted from @the-daycare-pokecenter! She's very charming, and seems very excited to battle on my team.

Lola the Luvdisc, hatched from an egg from @pokenursery! She's a very happy little fish and deserves just as much love as her heart-shaped body conveys.

They're all silly guys, but I love them, and they all seem willing to help me figure out how to reach this dream of mine!

Emergency Writing Commissions Open until Dec 2nd

Hi everyone. I'm having a really tough time right now paying rent and other utility bills at the moment, so until December 2nd, I'm opening up Emergency Writing Commissions for anyone interested! During this time, I'm giving a discounted rate of 0.03 cents per word for BOTH SFW and NSFW works.

Like I said in my last post, I'm pretty much open for anything, just as long as it doesn't include anything racial/homophobic/political/or any NSFW material involving minors or minor-aged characters.

Some stuff I'm familiar with include: Mario, Splatoon, Spongebob, Harry Potter, Fairly Odd Parents, Yo Gabba Gabba (random one but I'm familiar lol). I'm not too familiar with the Star Wars or Marvel merchandises, but am willing to write anything. Some stuff might need some research however.

Alongside of that, I'm also open for $20 for a SFW Roleplay session and $30 for a NSFW Roleplay session for those that use Discord. Same rules apply as the writing commissions.

7. What universe have you never even considered writing in, and why?

I mean, there are plenty of fandoms I've never considered because I'm not a part of them. But usually if I'm familiar with a setting I would at least consider it. I will say there are certain genres I don't care for. I'm not likely to engage with horror, or most period/historical stuff. Just not my thing.

12. What was the first fandom that you roleplayed within?

I think I technically did some Warriors roleplay on forums around middle school, but not for very long. My first Tumblr blogs were an odd combo -- I made two at once. The first was for Scribble, my first OC ever, based vaguely on Warriors.

The second was for Claire and Melburn Jackson, AKA Daniel's dead parents from Stargate: SG-1. A friend was playing Daniel at the time, and I had written a long fic where his parents were actually alive, so I just translated them to RP so I could write with them. (I reread the fic recently and it was hot garbage, absolutely no one in character whatsoever, but at least past me was having fun!)

13. Have you written original characters?

Several! Some on Tumblr, some on Discord, some on both. Sorted by fandom under the cut for those who are interested.

Fandomless:

Shoya! She's from a race of bird-people with wings but is unable to fly, so she fled to the stars to become a pilot. Out of all my OCs, she's probably developed the most distinct voice. I haven't played her in ages but have a tremendous soft spot for her.

Scribble! Who I mentioned above. She's a very excitable talking calico cat. And... that's about all there is to her. I made her in middle school as a Warriors OC.

Star Trek:

Petra! She's a time agent with an unnecessarily complicated and tragic backstory.

Dhanna! She's a Romulan soldier turned diplomat turned qowat milat (badass nun/ninja with a cool sword).

T'Mor! She's a half-Vulcan/half-Romulan botanist. She's a fairly new one but I absolutely adore her.

M'rell! They're a Caitian (cat alien) counselor. All floof and friendliness.

Harry Potter:

Beni! A very gentle Hufflepuff healer. Repurposed from one of my very very old OCs.

Bishop! A squib who winds up basically running IT/tech management for the Ministry of Magic. I also played his daughter, Nora.

A Clois kid! She's gone through several iterations. First she was called Jordan and only existed as vague ideas. Then she was Ella and had an unnecessarily complicated backstory that was hard to keep up with. Her current iteration is Martha. everybody knows you. nobody knows you. you don't let them.

they know versions of you - some that you allow, some that they crafted on their own. the child prodigy. a household name before you were in high school. something special, at least for awhile. before things got twisted, before you lost control of the narrative. you didn't really want any of that to begin with, but they insisted. mom and dad. crafty social climbers.

mom and dad. they might be the two people who know you the least. they never really wanted you to begin with, but you were useful. a means to an end. they split up eventually, because of course, nothing like that ever lasts. you often wonder if they ever loved each other. you know for certain that they didn't love you.

dad's got a new family now. you don't talk to them, or him. mom still calls, sometimes she visits. you always feel so guilty whenever she's around.

you don't make music anymore, but your name is still in the headlines. most of it's about your personal life. they always loved that stuff. your first kiss was documented - remember that? it made you feel sick after, how a private moment was taken and made public for everyone to see. you've never had a relationship that wasn't on display.

maybe that's why it didn't work with adam. it never felt like he was just yours or that you were just his. he loved you, or at least you think he did. but you didn't really know how to love him back. you let him go, even though it hurt. because you're a heartbreaker, or so they say.

or maybe it's that you're too damaged to be known. roy did a number on you. you still think about him sometimes, even though it's been years. you see his face everywhere. they play his songs in grocery stores. the worst part of all this, despite all he put you through, is that he might very well be the person who knew you the best. it was four years, after all. (it was longer than four years, but you aren't supposed to say that.) roy said a lot of things that weren't true about you, but some of them were. you were cruel, callous. he made you that way. you don't know how to unmake yourself.

alice - better known by her stage name 'liddell' - is a recognizable figure. famous since she was 13, once hailed as a child prodigy, several award winning albums.

has twin half-brothers, 16 years her junior, named leo and nolan on her father's side. doesn't have much of a relationship with them, only sees them on special occasions.

had a relationship with another musician and producer - roy taylor, you might know him too - since she was 18, ended when she was 22. emotionally fraught, sometimes abusive relationship. messy breakup. he had quite a few unflattering things to say about her in the end. the general public sided with him on that. she left the music industry shortly after.

also previously dated adam roswell - frontman of a punk band called blemishes. fans and press gave him the nickname 'nepo boyfriend', due to the supposed 'career boost' that came with being associated with her.

currently writes poetry and fiction. has published a poetry collection titled 'crush songs' - well reviewed, decent sales, but nowhere near the numbers she had as musician. currently working on a novel about the complex relationship between a young woman and her father - semi-autobiographical.

10. I have a lot of characters, but I mostly stick with canon, because I don't always agree with the writers, but even their bad choices give me material to work with. There is one thing with Rhaenyra I WILL be ignoring in s2, because I am fairly certain they will be going down that road, is her knowing about Blood and Cheese. My interpretation of her will not know the details and will not condone it, because she would never hurt her sister's children for something Aemond did. Other than that, most of my HotD muses lean a tad more towards book canon, especially Aemma, but I can always adapt them to show canon as well

15. My favorite dynamic trope to rp is probably siblings/platonic deep relationships. I am a sucker for siblings that would go through hell for each other, or really good friends/cousins who are as close as siblings as well. As much as I love shipping, I feel like platonic relationships are undervalued in the rp community and they literally bring me so much joy. My Aemma and @bronzebtch are the best example for it, because they're as close as sisters and would die for each other, but they're entirely platonic & yet their relationship is so so powerful and beautiful. Also, my ladies as mothers with their babies. Chef's kiss. Or my ladies with their parents. Equally amazing.

18. Probably Rhaenyra's Queen verse, where she ascends the throne as she should have and properly rules. My girl deserved it. Bonus if it's a verse where all ( or at least most ) of her children survive

Anonymous Asks

Anon asks are now open, but there are are RULES! Please follow them to make sure they stay open for a long time!

If I get anon hate or an anon talks N$FW to me (or is in general being really weird/creepy), anon asks will close for a week. Each time after doubles the previous penalty, and one week of no anon hate (while anon is on) takes a day off the next penalty.

So essentially, the first penalty comes around, wears off, and there's two weeks before the next hate/nsfw message comes in. The time where anon asks are off is then 12 days, because 7*2-2=12. The minimum penalty time is 7 days, so you can never go below that.

If people start exploiting this, the penalty will begin to triple and it will take two weeks to take off a day, and the next time I see exploitation it goes to quadrupling and three weeks to take off a day, and so on and so forth.

I am NOT going to tell you when anon asks are turned on and off. You'll have to see for yourself.

Hopefully this will discourage anon hate. And remember, I CAN SEE WHO IS VISITING MY ACCOUNT!! Even if you don't follow me or interact, I can see it through the "Biggest fans." So if I see someone on that top 5 who I have not interacted before and don't recognize, I will inspect your account. If I see things, I WILL BLOCK YOU.

Jeremy didn't really notice anything odd about that - and of course anyone who was into music was alright in his book - but not having comics seemed fairly normal! His parents had always been a bit funny about what he watched and read as a kid, worrying that the material or themes might be too dark and things like that. And comic books could be violent and dark! Not that they all were, but some.

"Ok, well, you have to check out the Comic Barn then, it is like... the centre of all things film and tv and comic related. Oh! Plus games too, like, I don't know if you're into the whole roleplaying games scene, but they do some of that stuff here."

Jeremy himself had never quite got into it, but he thought it was cool from a distance.

Okay, to put some limitations on this, I’m only including the WIPs that I’ve done more than a synopsis for... that I can remember... that’s on Google Drive... that I actually think I might post one day... but haven’t posted yet because my posted WIPs are fairly easy to identify... okay... 1) Across Time - Inuyasha AU where Weiss gets thrown back in time to the ancient past, where she meets two demons (Yang and Blake) warring against each other over a misunderstanding.

2) Alpha’s Devotion - Omega’s Strength, but from Winter’s POV.

3) Bears, Oh My - An exhausted Winter, lost on a hike, comes across a cabin where Yang lives with her three pet bears.

4) Brave New World - Continuation of the Dishonored AU where Ruby and Winter reflect on the new Mantle.

5) Bruised - Third installment to the ace!Yang AU. 

6) Coming Home - Based on Dash’s Tiny Knight AU, Princess Blake is betrayed and stranded far from home and must rely on a reticent knight named Weiss to return to her kingdom.

7) Complications Always Arise - Papa Schnee is demanding Weiss marry before he’ll allow her to take his place as head of the SDC, so Yang volunteers to pretend to be Weiss’ beloved. No one else knows the relationship is fake, least of all Blake and Winter, and it’s just a bunch of pain.

8) Divided - Continuation of the By Moonlight AU where Whitley returns to the castle and Winter’s not upset by that- and Winter’s upset by the fact she’s not upset and has to figure out why her inner wolf is cool with this when she should, by all rights, be furious.

9) Dragonsbane - Mage Knight Winter hears tale of a dragon in the countryside that the local villages wish to see vanquished. Winter, however, has other plans.

10) Eye of the Beholder - Blinded and near death after a battle, Winter is rescued by the mysterious Yang and is nursed back to health despite her protests otherwise. (It’s a Medusa!AU.)

11) Fabled - Fable 3 AU where Princess Ruby and Princess Yang are forced to confront the fact that Queen Raven has lost her fucking mind, only to discover that fear drove the woman insane- a fear they must confront themselves.

13) Full Circle - Van Helsing (2004) AU, Winter and Weiss, amnesiacs employed by the church to handle all manner of unholy problems, are sent to discover what happened to King Taiyang. Along the way, they become wrapped up in a centuries spanning prophecy and a bloodline hanging in the balance.

14) High Bar, Low Blow - Yang owns a bar where the gimmick is that everyone’s an out of work actor and the staff is staging an ongoing drama on par with a soap opera to keep their customers coming back. Winter joins the staff and then things get a bit real.

15) Hoodlums and Hijinks - Robin Hood AU where Princess Winter and Princess Weiss are just as in favor for overthrowing the king as the group of bandits run by Ruby, Yang, and Blake. 

16) Last One 2: Electric Boogaloo (title subject to change) - a sequel to Last One where the haunt continues.

17) Lexical Access - Sequel to Tip of the Tongue, where Yang gives her girlfriend a bit of roleplaying payback.

18) Little Red - Carmen Sandiego AU where Ruby was kidnapped adopted by a group of thieves and raised to become the world’s greatest thief, but a chance meeting with Penny via a stolen phone opens her eyes to the wider world, and she meets the rebellious heiress Weiss, street smart Blake, and brawler Yang, creating a team that works to foil Ruby’s former friends while eluding capture by mysterious operatives with a somewhat familiar white color scheme...

19) Long Term Investment - Yang, a fae who lives in the woods, makes a deal with Princess Winter to save the Queen. The price? Winter’s firstborn. Winter misunderstands how she’s expected to get pregnant and Yang’s never actually intended to collect. Next thing Yang knows, Winter’s moving into the clearing beside her tree home.

23) My Heart Will Go On - It’s the Titanic, but double the rich, unwilling-to-marry ladies and triple the won-a-ticket-to-a-ship ruffians. Penny’s there too; she, like Ruby, just really likes ships.

24) One Fucking Favor - Winter’s due for a long assignment and wants to make a sex tape for stress relief purposes. Yang doesn’t ask questions; she’s just the one with the camera. But then, Winter’s partner for the vid doesn’t show up. What’s Yang going to do about it?

25) Prophecy - Star Wars AU where Ruby, Yang, and Blake are trained as Jedi, Winter and Weiss are part of the clone army, and Ruby’s the chosen one. That’s a lot of pressure to put on someone, but Senator Salem is there to lend a helping hand...

26) Propositioned - Faunus experience bouts of heat; sometimes, they can safely ignore it and go about their lives, but every now and again, they really can’t. Concerned for Blake’s health as she’s skipped too many heats to be healthy, Yang sets up a partner for Blake’s heat. Blake’s not a fan but she does like the idea of banging Weiss Schnee.

27) Proven - ARK: Survival Evolved AU where Winter, after being ‘won’ by Yang, is taken into the bowels of the earth to learn how the underground tribes who inhabit the area survive in such an unforgiving environment. As she acclimates to the tribe’s ways, she finds herself carving out her own path, culminating in facing off against the Queen and proving herself worthy.

28) Reaping What You Sow - When Winter escaped to the countryside with Penny to start a farm, she knew she had her work cut out for her. In need of help and facing a harsh cold season, she hires Yang, a one armed drifter, to help her. The two end up needing the other more than they could’ve imagined.

29) Tear My Heart Open - Blake thought she understood how the world worked. As a member of the White Fang Gang, all she needed to do was keep everyone motivated to continue their ongoing street war against the police and authorities bent on keeping them down. But while running from the cops, she’s offered sanctuary in the home of one Weiss Schnee and her girlfriend, Yang. From there, her perception of the world is completely upended.

30) The Duel - After her father offered her hand in marriage to the winner of a tournament, Winter opted to assume a disguise and fight for the prize herself. In the final match, she faces Yang Xiao Long, a competitor she’s come to know quite well, and she finds her conviction to win wavering slightly. Is it enough to lose her the fight?

31) The Lies We Tell Ourselves - Weiss has made it; she’s opened her tattoo shop in Vale, well away from her father, and aside from a bad first impression with the florists across the parking lot, everything’s looking up for her- until her father finds her. Luckily, Blake’s been through some shit and doesn’t mind helping Weiss drive daddy dearest up the wall, even if it means letting her own parents think she’s dating Weiss. It’s not like either of them is going to catch feelings... unless...

32) The Princess’ Bride - After losing her fiancée to the dreaded White Fang Pirates, Yang vows to take to the sea herself and exact her revenge. Princess Weiss finds herself falling madly in love with Yang, who still loves Blake, and all this is thrown into even more chaos when Yang gets kidnapped and Blake comes back from the dead! 

33) Two for One - Yes, another Omegaverse AU. Five years after the fall of Beacon, Yang and Blake cross paths, each believing the other has spent the time keeping their mutual mate, Weiss, safe. When they realize Weiss is with neither of them, old wounds are torn open, but before they can resolve their dispute, Winter captures the both of them and hauls them to a remote part of Atlas where an SDC facility has been turned into a fortress. There, they find a mortally wounded Weiss clinging to life and raising twins daughters; she gives her mates until her death to endear themselves to their children, else the twins might opt to stay with Winter and be kept from Blake and Yang for good. Between learning about their kids, Blake and Yang navigate their complicated feelings and try to reconnect with Weiss, all while a sinister force gathers to destroy the fortress and steal the prize within.

34) Weaknesses - Loosely set in the Glamour AU, Yang is being forced to assume her mother’s position as leader of their vampire coven. Her fellow vamps disapprove of Yang’s werewolf girlfriend. Winter, of course, doesn’t care.

HEADCANONS

Jared always found a certain comfort in being a twin. With their childhood, he learned quickly and at a young age that nothing has a guarantee, the only exception being his brother. Even after being placed with the people who would come to adopt him, Jared kept a fairly detached style in his relationship to people outside of his brother and eventually his adoptive parents. His brother is the most important person in his life, no one knows him better, and even after the trust he'd built with their adoptive parents, it wasn't until Benjy hugged them that he did too. He was never mean or unkind to others he met, just a quiet soul protected behind layers of brick walls. However, if one manages to penetrate those walls, they're his friend for life.

One of the only memories he has of their birth parents was one of their attempts to keep him occupied: a little disposable camera bought at a gas station. Not that it lasted long; being four years old, Jared was much more amused by the flashing light when the little box made the clicking sound than he was by what was actually happening. But a quick explanation from his father caused him to focus on what he was doing. It would take two foster placements to get the film developed to let him know his masterpieces were only corners of the car's passenger seat and the side of his brothers head.

The next time he found himself in a gas station, he grabbed another disposable camera, determined to get a picture of his brothers face this time, and maybe a picture of the sky. He also saw a little toy slinky that he thought Benjy would like, and the toy candy ring? He couldn't resist. And how was he to know at six years old that he was supposed to pay for those? Given his quiet nature, he could casually knick things from stores without getting caught, things he thought would make his brother smile or cheap cameras. It wasn't until he was ten and well settled with the Rose family that he discovered that what he was doing was called stealing and it was wrong. He cried for a full night.

Two days later, the Roses presented him with his first digital camera, one with a screen on the back where he could see the picture he just took. It was a new feeling, having adults actually fostering his interests on top of fostering him, a feeling that started chipping away at the wall he was hiding behind. As his talents started showing more, the more they supported him, presenting him with a higher grade camera for his fourteenth birthday. That didn't mean he took everything for free. He was adamant about working for what he had, taking odd jobs around the neighborhood and saving his allowances for new lenses, editing software and eventually a new computer.

The lack of stable environment led to a more...freeing way of growing up for Jared. While never one to find trouble (he was quite content staying out of it; bad kids didn't get adopted), he found a joy slipping out of the house with his brother when they could and finding different places to explore. He knew New York City like the back of his hand by the time he was 16, including the highest points and how to get to them. It was almost alarming to others to see how comfortable Jared was making himself in some of the more dangerous places, but it's where he thrived, and his work showed it.

New York offered him the perfect playground to launch a photography career, between the graffiti and street performers and skylines and just New Yorkers themselves, he quickly built a portfolio for himself. He created a blog when he was 16, casting the net to see if he could garner any interest in his work. And he did. He started getting messages from random magazines, newspapers, and even businesses around the city to use his work. He started getting requests for weddings and family photos, events and engagements. By the time he was 18, word of mouth had spread his name to other parts of the country.

This found him and his brother at an interest point of divergence. They had spent 18 years being the only constant the other had, and now Benjy was facing college, Jared facing a flourishing photography career. With a firm secret handshake and an even longer hug, the two took their separate paths. Jared sent post cards from every city he visited, enjoying the stories from college he got back in return. The first year was rough as he realized he needed Benjy almost as much as the other needed him. But with time, he settled into a nice routine.

Jared bounced from city to city for a number of years, spending time in Chicago, LA, Miami, Seattle, and countless other places, taking whatever work he could get. Promotional shots, nature shoots, concerts, even picking up videography as a side hustle for a little bit. But as Benjy finished college and threw out the idea of living together in New York, Jared was relieved. New York was his home, and while he was thankful for his adventures and was sure to go on many more, he was always happy to go back to his roots with his brother by his side.

CONNECTIONS

Joseph and Maggie Rose [Foster Father and Mother]: The second and third people to ever make him feel like he was worth something, they are two of three people Jared would fight for in the world. They are safety, they are love, they are home. Benjy Rose [Younger Twin]: Though only six minutes older, Jared took the role of 'older brother' and ran with it. Benjy's his whole world, the one he can talk to, the first one to ever see his work, and the one he can get in the most trouble with. Jared is Benjy's number one fan, always cheering on his tinkering from the sidelines, even if he's not completely sure what's going on most of the time.
