I woke up this morning still thinking about Fadel waking up in Style's bed.
I wonder what was running through Fadel's head as he turned to look at Style, eyes still squinting against the too-bright morning light, the unfamiliar comfort of the shape of Style's name on his lips for the very first time. I wonder if he was too sleepy to process how strange it was that he didn't really mind being pinned down by the weight of Style's thigh thrown over his hips; that the sensation was grounding and reassuring rather than being confining or suffocating. I wonder if the thought crossed his mind that he wouldn't mind waking up like this again, wouldn't mind letting someone into his space, wouldn't mind giving someone the bared vulnerability of lying naked and unprotected with all the implications of unwavering trust that has -- not if it was with him.
I wonder if Fadel registered the way his heartbeat is steady and calm despite the strange surroundings and unfamiliar bed, because something in him has already labelled the person lying next to him as safe.
I wonder if Fadel even understood that this, right here, in all its quiet and unacknowledged stillness, was the moment he fell in love?
#the implications of a trained assassin whose own parents were murdered in front of his eyes and who has been burned by love before#CHOOSING to stay the night and then waking up naked and vulnerable and being ABSOLUTELY CALM AND AT PEACE with it!#yeah i'm calling it -- THIS is when fadel actually fell in love. it's why the rest of the episode gives us:#fadel being able to say out loud “i want him to accept me for who i am”; because a part of him already felt like style HAS#fadel telling style “you don't have to do anything to impress me”; because style has already earned the right to fadel's trust and heart#fadel answering style's plea of “promise?” with a kiss because he'd just lied to style with his words#so he tries to tell style the truth with his body instead#because he doesn't realise that a single phone call would be all it takes to turn his reply into an unintended deception once again#the heart killers#the heart killers the series#fadelstyle#fadel#thk meta#fadel meta#thk ep 6#hui talks thai bl#hui talks thk#i've been staring at this particular screenshot for a while and the way there's NO CONFLICT AT ALL on fadel's face just...#*sits in the corner with my head in my hands*#you guys are probably all really sick of me by now#I know I’m somewhat reiterating my point#but it hit me that this really is LOVE now…like I’ve been holding off on that conclusion for so long#because episode 4 gave us a confession of frustration#and episode 5 gave us a confession of fear#but this episode is fadel finally recognising the the has truly fallen in LOVE#and that makes epsisode 6 so much worse because it comes because fadel thinks style doesn’t love him in return

Hey, if Bison can diverge from the plan and kidnap his traitorous boyfriend for himself for an indeterminate period of time instead of killing him like they agreed upon, so can Fadel, ok?
They are in judgement free zones for as long as it takes for Fadel to find him and they are forced to admit to each other the embarrasing truth—that neither of them wants to get through with this.
#the heart killers#Fadel not answering right away when Style asked if he knows where his brother is#tells me he knows exactly where Bison must have taken Kant to (= his parents' house in the island‚ the place he had suggested they ran to)#but is in no hurry to get there#because now reaching his destination also means reaching the end of his and Style's journey

My poor baby Fadel. He really thinks his ex just run away because he was scared. He blames himself. He's not even considering that dude was killed by his mother to keep him close. I need Fadel to be happy dammit!
That is truly the most fascinating part to me, in a lot of ways. But it also shows us Fadel's true trusting nature. He wants to trust and believe in love so damn badly. This man still believes that he was left and abandoned because he loved that man so much and he cares for people so much and he still believes in these simple, simple things despite himself.
But now the ultimate question...
Was his ex killed or just removed from the picture? I could see it either way, honestly, though I this show will go with the simplicity of death it's still gonna hurt so much. But even worse would be if she'd managed to bribe him to leave Fadel alone. Even more heartbreaking.

Men and their lies…
The way everyone’s throwing side-eye at Joong over the “ex” situation is hilarious. Sir, who exactly is this ex? I thought Fadel didn’t have one —at least, not if Mr. “I don’t like lies” is telling the truth.
But why lie about it in the first place? I still can’t wrap my head around that part. Honestly, I’m pretty sure Style wouldn’t have made it a big deal or dug for more details if Fadel had just admitted to having an ex. As pushy as he is, he often respects Fadel’s boundaries when it comes to secrets and all. And he, too, has got his own past to work with. So what’s with the deception?
Oh, and let’s not forget that Style overheard Keen and Fadel’s conversation in the restaurant 🚨. So, maybe he does know that Fadel was not being entirely truthful but still chose to let it slide.
Anyway, Joong just went and made this whole mess even more suspicious. I was side-eyeing Fadel a bit during that garage scene, but I still thought, “Maybe he’s not lying —maybe he was just in some weird situationship with that guy or something.” But now? Uh… unless he’s joking around and calling Style his “ex” after their fallout, this is looking sketchy.

Nani I'm sorry for not believing you. The bisonfadel tension & j/k omg
MOVE OVER KANT FADEL GRABBED DAT ASS FIRST!!!
as much as i want to leave it at just the joke for the reblogs just episode one gave me SO much delicious brotherly tension that i couldn't believe it.
the very first thing that bison says to fadel?
"You're always right on time" - god the trust between them kills me, it really renders me unable to function. And joong ALWAYS looks at khaotung so softly and it translates absolutely devastatingly for his character.
oh the way bison brings a burger made by his brother to woo his crush whom his brother hates. and he claims that fadel didn't know - OF COURSE he knew. Bison is walking out with two burgers to go where??? to Mae's headquarters 😭 bison you dum dum
the way that fadel is SO arbitrarily controlling
but he still can't say no to bison doesn't demand he help him get rid of their clothes after the kill AND wakes up early to prep the restaurant the next day ALONE - oh that boy is spoiled rotten 😭
all ive ever wanted was for fadel to haunt bison's every narrative and he does he really really does. but then I got bison haunting fadel's every narrative too???
i can go scene by scene the way that bison acts with kant and fadel acts with style, every time i see one without the other i can feel the other's presence in the way they talk and on the counter their absence as well but i think i'll end it here with the thing that gets me THE MOST is this devastating eyebrow quirk that you can't even see with screenshots but god i cant stop thinking about it
he just gets so instantaneously suspicious the minute his relationship to fadel is brought up even though this is a pretty normal observation to make yes because of how they look but also by how they act.
Bison is also just so protective of Fadel 😭 (and don't even ask me about the lie he tells kant about their relationship @kattyangel has already one shot KO'd me over it)
I'm afraid I'm never recovering from my not yet thirty year old single dad and his 24 yo teen son
#bisonfadel#nani answers#i love them so much you dont understand#fadel is like ray's mother#in that i couldn't see a single scene of ray's without thinking about her#and i cant see a single scene of bison's without thinking about fadel#and honestly vice versa!!!!#im afraid if i talk about how bison resents fadel and fadel objectifies bison i will break out into hysteria

THK screenshots
So @tiistirtipii asked for THK screenshots to make textposts memes out of, and then @boygirlcrisis expressed the same interest, so I thought I'd simply make a post for literally anyone who might want them. Unfortunately, I mostly have Kant & Bison. (also I only put screenshots that didn't have any subtitles on them, but I could add the other if you needed more)
#i had some good stills of fadel in his kitchen but unfortunately i didn't save the og before putting *my* dumb shitposts on them#also don't ask me how many stills of the police station scene i have it's a normal amount okay? the answer is a normal amount#the heart killers

Trying to judge if fadelbison is in the subtext or if we are over reading it. The line how was the sex and fadel being near sexually attracted to kant makes me suspicious
hi nonnie! (assuming this ask is about the ship and not the bros, and that you haven't already blocked me for any reason yet)
my sincerest apologies for taking so long with this ask. i was flooded by life things and in a depressive funk in general + shifting houses and juggling credit card debt, but you know the drill!
anyway, something that really got to me in that particular scene you're talking about is how bison is so casual with the “boy talk” with his brother. i think, iirc, till this point we didn't know they were “adopted” and i was still vaguely assuming (though i was hoping otherwise) bison and fadel had a common biological parent. and if so, haha, “boy talk” with siblings especially asking about “how the sex was” is cringe to most of us lmao. so if they weren't sharing a biological parent and didn't grow up together as such, something floated into my head about how bison and fadel could have been each other's firsts. tbh i wouldn't have minded if they did share a parent. it becomes more delicious that way i think. anyway, maybe it helped bison discover who he was and he set out on a different path looking for love, while fadel kept a tight control on his desires (i was also suspecting he might not have come out yet or just have a lot of internalized homophobia for varied reasons). either way, it made sense in my head lol.
i think to me kant's introduction was something like how fadel probably got a hate boner the moment he saw him because 1) he is overprotective of his younger brother 2) kant is really handsome and just his type , and 3) kant is a smug ass bastard whose jaw he wants to break in .
haha, anyway, i maybe should have answered this when i got it because my mind keeps jumbling up the scenes here and there. you might wanna check me out again when I'm re-watching this show because you bet i will 😘
once again, thanks for the ask and hopefully see you again!

Everything about Style is just driving me feral with want to have THK right now, immediately.
The way he's all big, bold gestures and confident swagger; the way his introduction includes a literal arms-wide-open welcome. The overalls unbuttoned until nearly the middle of his chest and how he's the only one in the main cast to be (literally) this uncovered (everyone else has 2-3 layers on).
I wonder if this hints to how vulnerable his character is, narratively speaking: how he potentially is the one that starts out with the least information (apparently Kant doesn't tell him who Fadel and Bison are when he makes that deal with Style?); how he may be the least physically familiar with violence because he's just a mechanic (vs Kant's background with crime/the police. Also the way in the trailer Style is constantly in shock when Fadel does something violent around him); how he chooses with his heart even after he finds out the full truth about Fadel ("You know I know everything").
When he describes his life, it's so... innocent? We get a snapshot of what he thinks his life is about and it's: fixing cars, collecting vintage cars, bowling and hanging out with his best friend. Every other character's answers are layers of subterfuge and double meanings but Style's answers create such a contrast by being so unfiltered. This is a character that (at least at this point) is guileless and without agenda.
I'm so excited to see Style pursing Fadel. I'm so excited to see Fadel try to remain stoic and unmoved in the face of Style's unabashed interest and enthusiastic flirting. I'm excited to discover why Style goes from attraction to being willing to risk it all for Fadel.
But also -- in a very different way than what Kant will doubtless be to Bison -- I'm excited to see how Style will become an escape for Fadel. Fadel, who just wants to sleep for 25 hours (he's so exhausted) and live a normal life, maybe open a restaurant that isn't just a front and a cover for the illicit job he maybe no longer wants, who enjoys solitude but wants to find someone to spend it with (he sounds so desperately lonely, my heart breaks for him).
Someone uncomplicated, who lives life fully, who isn't afraid to go for what he wants and who wears his heart on his sleeve.
In less than 5 minutes, this interview shows us the ways they could fit together like missing puzzle pieces, and I am so, so excited to see it fall apart and come together.
#the heart killers#thk interviews#style sattawat#fadel#fadelstyle#style sattawat meta#thk meta#hui talks thk#hui talks thai bl#also can we talk about how well both joong and dunk embody their characters??#dunk doesn't normally SIT this way when he's in interviews#he's much more relaxed and calm overall and doesn't use as much inflections unless he gets really excited#but all his mannerisms feel in character (or at least true to the Style we see in the trailer)#joong too -- the way he slouches and the almost disinterested air he's projecting#like Fadel doesn't really want to be doing this interview (bc ofc he wouldn't)#the way he keeps defaulting back to linking his hands together like he's got something to hide#his body language is so defensive and all his answers look like they're extremely calculated and thought through#joong is rarely this still in a real interview so this feels very distinctly like a character choice#joongdunk#joong archen#dunk natachai#and even if i wind up being horribly wrong about all of this i'm still so grateful for what we got already and what we will get in THK#as long as they don't end broken up although thats what fanfics are for so even that wouldn't be the end of the world to me xD#also someone please yell with me about how pretty the tiny bit of eyeshadow they added to dunk's eyes makes him look AHHHHH

I swear to god if by the end of their “last date” Fadel tells Style he's gonna be away the next day, busy, and Style replies with “I'll miss you”, knowing full well Fadel will most probably not be gone for a day, but forever...
#the heart killers#I keep thinking about what will be the last thing Style will say#or do#or what will be the look on his face when he looks at Fadel for “the last time”#and I just know that I'll be devastated no matter what the answer is#(and that in the next couple of weeks we'll have to watch 4366643 edits of their last kiss to the sound of Summertime Sadness)

As a person who read the novel, whatever happens in ep3 is going to be the make or break. It feels like they changed it from the novel at the same time a bit nervous if they would go with it cause I don't want him to be that much of an asshole for no reason. It's why a lot who read the novel called him irredeemable. Even without this particular scene I feel like it could convey that he is not an angel. Novel Kant is definitely one of those toxic yaoi male lead- manipulative, wouldn't take responsibility, gaslights, a big red flag. Series Kant seems more well rounded
While I absolutely agree that this next ep will tell me what to expect from the show either good or bad thanks to the novel, it's definitely for different reasons. And I don't know how to go into why without heavily spoiling the novel, so anyone who doesn't want that, here's the warning.
I assume we're talking about Kant drugging Bison, yes? I think it's likely that will happen. I don't think it's nice, him doing that, but I don't really think it makes him a toxic yaoi lead either (I don't think he's the lead at all, actually, and I have to admit I'm a bit confused by what you mean by gaslighting and not taking responsibility. He's definitely a red flag but then again, they all are).
I just think he's morally grey. And honestly, unless these writers are hacks even worse than the novel writer, that's not going to change. It'll just be that the things he does in future will to help rather than hinder Bison.
None of these guys are good people. And maybe what Kant does goes too far for some for their own reasons. That's fine. My personal beef with the novel is actually Bison even though I have other issues, and that's for my own reasons. I can't tell you what to like or think and I'm not going to argue that you're wrong to dislike Kant. If the third ep does what you think and you can't handle it, then it's fine to stop watching. Not every show is for every person. I know I'm still watching with one foot out the door because as much fun as I am currently having, it could very easily sour. I also know that at some point I'm going to have to exit the tag completely even if I do stick around because fandom is notoriously bad at nuance and dealing with shades of grey when those greys don't come from a character they sympathize with. Only Friends taught me well, lol.
I do disagree Kant doesn't have a reason, though. I think the show, way more than the novel, has actually done a decent job giving us that reason. The novel made it mostly about money. The show has made it about Kant's freedom and being able to take care of one of the few people who we know he actually cares about. Maybe the only one, if you consider that he's siccing his best friend on a literal murderer without any information or warning (although to be fair to him he visibly did NOT like the idea of Style and Fadel actually getting together when Bison brought it up).
And we can think that maybe he's not telling him because he hopes that will make him safer or he just doesn't care, but I'm gonna say that we can't know because we have no window into what Kant's really thinking right now. Which maybe makes him harder to deal with for some people since we have some idea of where the other's heads are at based on conversations they have with each other. The very nature of what Kant's doing, though, means that even conversations he has about it with people he trusts can't be truthful.
The man said it himself: right now Captain Christ pretty much has his arm twisted up behind his back (and I can't help but wonder if he's going to twist harder in the next episode, but we'll see). It's what made him start this thing in the first place despite not wanting to and it's what's gonna keep him going even though he's probably going to start hating himself for it
I also have to admit to amusement that I already know that fandom is going to hate Kant a lot (and that we'll probably be getting think pieces about how much he doesn't deserve Bison well after the show ends) for doing what, in any other context, wouldn't be something to hate him for. These people kill people. "Bad guys" or not, they are out there murdering folks, sometimes with bonus honey trapping. And yet somehow it's the guy working to stop that that's the awful, no good, irredeemable one. I mean, I know why, but it's still funny.
But also, the novel was bad. I'm sorry, but it was. I hated Bison, and Kant was so obviously just Plot that I couldn't muster up the energy to feel anything much for him besides disappointment that this was the dude my favorite actor was gonna play. Thus far the show is a million percent better than the book in that regard - Bison is actually likeable, for one, and for another while Kant is responsible for moving the plot forward he actually has characterization, personality, and relationships beyond that. Part of that is the actors themselves, of course - Khaotung does charming very well and First couldn't play a flat character if he tried - but part of it is also the writing.
I'm still nervous - I've heard such conflicting things about how much of the screenplay the novel writer put into the novel itself and how much she deviated and I see a lot of differences but there are a lot of similarities too, so I can't help but be on edge. Also it's only ep 2 there's a lot of room for them to fuck it up, lol - but I'm trying to just take things as they come and not invest too deeply in anything so if I have to stop watching I'm not too bitter about it.
And well. I'm also maybe a little weird, because I love how cold and manipulative Kant is actually being right now. Mostly because it'll be that much more satisfying when he winds up getting bitten in the ass later. Also it just makes him and Bison more evenly matched, which I didn't feel they were at all in the novel - Bison was the amazing one and Kant was in awe so much that I just couldn't stop rolling my eyes. Seriously, by the end of the novel I had a headache. Their relationship was squicky to me for a few reasons, lol. We'll see how I end up liking it here.
In summation: I get it if you can't get past the drugging. Personally I'm not bothered (them having sex after did make me go eeech, but for me motivation matters, and Kant didn't actually drug Bison with the intent to sleep with him. The novel's approach to sex and kink is VERY old school yaoi with both couples. Not for me, but I also highly doubt the show will go that route. It's the one thing I'm pretty confident about although I guess as with everything else I could wind up being very wrong), but I can see why it would make Kant too unlikeable for you to root for. I just feel like this isn't something any of them would hesitate to do if it came down to it because all of these guys are sketchy as hell.
Thanks for the ask, non! If I didn't cover what you meant or you have more to say, please stop by again this is fun.
#personally i'm just floored they're letting kant be this cold#it'll make for a nice contrast when he really does wind up trapping himself#and will make it more fun once bison begins to suspect that poor unlistened to fadel was right all along#and starts playing the right game#(hopefully just when kant decides to stop because that's delicious)#asked and answered#spoilers
