Trans Rites by The Dionysian Public Library
Tumblr media
The Dionysian Public Library is thrilled (and chilled) to present our first anthology, Trans Rites: An Anthology of Genderfucked Horror, for publication in print and digital. This collection features a bazaar of eleven bizarre tales of transition and transformation, beastliness and becoming: A bloody rebirth in the woods. A deadly game of consumption and corruption. A scientist putting the pieces of himself together. A patient becoming more and more like the china dolls she admires. A room with no exit except oblivion. A museum in a town renowned for its cryptids. These terrors and more await within.
To embody transness is to change shape, to become something else. The theorist Judith Butler refers to the construction of gender as a process of ritual and naturalization. Hear our screams, our howls, our primal gibbering, our moonlight dances and our bleeding guts.
This collection features the following stories, as well as lyrics and poetry from folk musician Skeleton Drive (Dillon Rae Oliver)
Birthday Suit by Lennox Rex
Fresh Meat by Thea Maeve
Death Taught Me How to Live by Alicia Hilton
Seen by Ju Collins
The Moss Witch of the Cascade Mountains by Mave Goren
Wolformation by Michelle Jacklyn Miller
Fly by Madeleine Varley
Figs for Thistles by E. B. Novetti
Bleed For Your Wishes by R.S. Saha
Frozen Charlotte by Mildred Faintly
Dr. Frankenstein Dabbles in Self-Discovery by C.C. Rayne

That sounds so cool then imagine that we get Kornelius on the case because Geronimo is that good at covering up tracks
Hear me out
Geronimo becomes a serial killer following the events of The Shattered Pacifist
And for insult to injury, he makes sure that the Daily Rat gets the story

Personal Sebastian Sallow Headcanons (pt. 1/?)
Tumblr media
◆ He's an October Scorpio - The characteristics line up so well and I really like the idea of him being one of the older students in his class ◆ Is the younger twin - Anne never lets him forget it. ◆ Sebastian's looks favor his father's - This plays a role in Solomon's hostility towards him. ◆ He’s Scottish and was born and raised either in New Towne Edinburgh or on the outskirts - Edinburgh in the 1800s was a foul place to live, at least in the city center, Old Towne. - I see his parents being drawn to Edinburgh. It has such a vast history and holds a lot of knowledge, but they knew they wanted to start a family and decided to settle down away from the city proper. - I don't see them having a grand mansion, more so a comfortable townhome ◆ His parents are published authors - The funds from this is what allowed them buy property in New Towne. - They left a modest inheritance to the twins that they will receive when they turn 17. ◆ After their deaths, Solomon sold the house and most of the items within to gather money to afford to care for two children. - Sebastian and Anne were able to stow away some of the parents' belongs, such as; their favorite books, jewelry, pocket watch, photo albums, and letters. ◆ His parents have portraits at Hogwarts - After the portrait versions of themselves learned of their real-life deaths, they asked to be stowed away when it came time for Sebastian and Anne to attend Hogwarts to avoid a possible unhealthy fixation on the paintings. (Imagine a scenario similar to when Harry found the Mirror of Erised and visited it every night to stare into it.) ◆ He's a virgin - Since I've given them an October birthday, the Sallow twins were 14 when Anne was cursed the summer before their 4th year. After she was cursed, the entirety of his focus and drive went into Anne and finding a cure. The only exceptions to this, pre-5th year, were his academic studies and his friendship with Ominis. - In his 3rd year, a 5th year girl took an interest in Sebastian and propositioned him to teach him the ways of physical pleasure. She was pretty, older, and he liked the attention. She thought he was cute and liked the idea of being the one in control. He was 14, she was 16. It never went past oral though. - Sebastian didn't like the idea of "ruining" (using era-accurate verbiage here) a girl because he would kill anyone who did that to Anne. - The 5th year girl played a role in giving him the confidence (charm, flirtation, etc.) we experience later. This led him to snogging other girls while in his 3rd year, but only those in years above him. He cringed at the thought of Anne hearing firsthand about his escapades from someone in their own year. - He had his first kiss at the age of 12 though. A traveling merchant's daughter who was the same age and visited Feldcroft for a few days before moving on to the next town. It was extremely awkward but also adorable. - Sebastian is canonically very well-read. That does not exclude literature on the topic of intercourse just because he's a virgin. He's read everything he's been able to find and has his own hidden copy of the Kama Sutra stashed away. ◆ He's naturally athletic - Working in the Feldcroft fields while growing up has kept him healthy and in-shape. Being an avid dueler has also helped. - He tried out for the Quidditch team his 2nd and 3rd years, but lost out to older students. He had planned to try again, but Anne's curse changed everything. ◆ He becomes a Beater for the Slytherin team his 6th year - You cannot tell me that this man doesn't become more broad and muscled as he grows. With shoulders and arms like that, his competitiveness/prowess, and his desire to impress Thea (MC), he becomes one of the best Beaters Hogwarts has ever seen.

Dating Jason Todd (Part Six)
fanfic type: angst, fluff, comfort (ongoing)
If you liked the Titans show but wish they handled Jason’s story line differently you might like this fic!
Hey so this is in fact my first time writing fanfiction (idk what my life has come to). Sorry if it’s cringy but also I would eat this up cause I LOVE some good angsty comfort fanfiction. I won’t write smut. I don’t think I’m gonna do requests but if you have any ideas feel free to let me know. Also of course I don’t own any DC characters this is purely fanfiction. Thank you and I hope you enjoy. (I hope you like run-on sentences💀) (if you don’t like it don’t be rude just move on dude😃🧍‍♀️)
So story line, this doesn’t really take place in any specific universe but I’m gonna be pulling concepts from Titans, The Batman, Arkham Knight, Under the Red Hood, and whatever lore I remember from the CW shows cause I grew up watching those, then just my imagination of course. Reader is referred to as she/her btw.
Warnings: talking about death, suicide, depression, torture (it’s not graphic I hate gore it’s just sad), talking about intimacy (not graphic), struggling with eating, topics of grief, PTSD, panic attacks, violence
Part Six: Remember Me, Remember Me
Jason coughed as blood dripped from his mouth. He was still tied to a chair sitting in a cell in Arkham asylum. Dick had searched every inch of Arkham; or he thought he did anyway. His legs had gone numb. He figured out the barbed wire was only able to cut through his Robin suit because the wire was coated with acid. He was starving and thirsty. He couldn’t even focus on the pain shooting through his body each time Joker hit him with the crowbar. All he could focus on was the glimmer of hope he had left that someone would come and rescue him.
“It seems your little girlfriend fell for my trick,” Joker says.
“Batman’s gonna fucking kill you,” Jason mumbles.
“Come on replacement Robin, you and I both know the big bad bat doesn’t kill,” Joker says.
“I’ve got a feeling he’ll make an exception,” Jason says.
“Oh I doubt that,” Joker responds. He picks up a small knife and begins to cut into Jason’s face.
“What the fuck are you doing!” Jason yells as he fails to pull his face away from the blade. Bruce will find me. Dick will find me. Y/N will find me. He kept thinking.
Back at the GCPD you. Dick and Barbra weren’t making much progress. Dick called the titans to let them know Jason was in fact not really dead and you called Thea to tell Roy the news.
“The Robin suit found on the body is yours Dick,” Barbra says.
“What?” He responds.
“How’s that possible?” You ask. “Was it in the batcave?”
“No, I dumped it in some random dumpster in Gotham…Joker must’ve just found it I guess,” he says.
“So you guys are sure he’s not still in Arkham somewhere?” You ask.
“Positive,” Barbra says.
“I searched every room myself Y/N, if he was there we would’ve found him.” Dick says.
After about four hours of reexamining every note Joker had left, you guys had found no new information.
“I think it’s time to call it a night,” Barbra says softly.
“I’m with you on that one, we’re not getting anywhere right now,” Dick says.
“But what if there’s something else in the notes, something that tells us where Jason is,” you say.
“Then we’ll probably be able to find it a lot quicker tomorrow morning,” Dick says.
“But-“ you start to speak but Dick cuts you off.
“Us draining ourselves isn’t going to help us find Jason any faster, trust me,” Dick says.
Dick and you drive to Wayne manor to spend the night there. You insisted you just stay at GCPD so you could wake up and get back to work but Dick felt getting away from everything would help clear your minds to be in better shape for tomorrow.
“We’re gonna find him,” Dick says as you two cruise through the streets of Gotham.
“I can’t feel like I did again, when you told me he was dead, I can’t relive that,” you say.
“And you won’t have to, we just need to rest for a bit then early tomorrow we can analyze the notes again, hell I’ll even go through Arkham again if it gives you some peace of mind,” Dick says.
“Every time I close my eyes I can’t help but imagine what he’s going through,” you say. Before you continue you say, “this convo stays between us okay?” You ask.
“Okay,” he says.
“He’s already been through so much just when we were titans never mind all the shit he went through before even becoming Robin, he’s been tortured before by Slade I know that but Slade’s not insane he’s sadistic but he’s not clinically out of his mind,” you say.
“Jason’s strong, like you said he’s dealt with more now than most people have in their whole lifetimes,” Dick says.
“Yeah but Jokers different than Slade, he doesn’t have any sense of morality or reality, he’ll treat Jason like an animal, worse like an object. He quite literally is nothing more than the symbol of Robin in the eyes of the Joker. Every minute I don’t know where he is I just know he’s feeling more and more pain,” you say.
Dick pulls up to the door of Wayne manor. It’s raining and dark outside. Your fear of the dark is not limited to inside, no matter where you are, ever since your encounter with Poison Ivy you can’t stand not being aware of your surroundings. The fear started to heal a bit when you joined titans. Your friendship with Gar, Rachel, Kori and Donna helped remind you that you weren’t alone. And dating Jason made you feel both seen and protected. Now it felt like that friendship and safety you knew had been ripped away from you. Dick made you feel safe, but not like Jason did. Dick walks around the car and opens the door for you. You reach into the backseat and grab your and Dick’s bags. You two hurry inside trying not to get rained on. Wayne manor is lit up due to the motion sensor lights and the fact that Alfred was around somewhere. You and Dick head upstairs and then part ways; him going into his old room and you going into Jason’s room.
Twenty minutes later the rain had turned into a full blown thunderstorm. You liked rain, it was calming and oddly comforting. But the thunder scared you. It was childish to be afraid of but you didn’t care. You decided long ago being afraid of things didn’t make you weak, it just meant you knew yourself well and had self preservation skills. The thunder went on and just as you were about to finally drown it out and go to sleep the power went out, leaving you alone in the dark. I’m not going to freak out, you thought. You knew this room like the back of your hand. The bookcase stacked with every Jane Austen novel ever written. Heavy metal and emo vinyls. You were safe here. You tried to just calm down but the more you looked off into the dark the more you swore you could feel vines wrapping around your body. Trapping you, cutting off your circulation, covering your eyes, and wrapping around your throat suffocating you. You couldn’t breath you were transported back in time to when Poison Ivy kidnapped you. Suddenly the door flew open and a light appeared. You didn’t move. You were sat straight up in bed with your eyes wide open but for some reason you couldn’t bring yourself to move even an inch. Dick ran over with a flashlight. He sat on your bed and took your face in his hands. “Y/N!” He said. “Y/N!” You snapped out of it and immediately brought your knees to your chest as you moved away from him slightly. You began hyperventilating. “Hey everything’s okay, just breathe,” Dick says. “Here, put your hand on your heart.” Dick moves your hand to be on your chest. “Breathe in…and breathe out,” he says. He takes your other hand and checks to see how fast your pulse is going. After a minute or two your breathing slows down.
“I’m sorry,” you say.
“You don’t need to apologize,” he responds.
“It’s the fucking lights, they went out and I…I panicked,” you say. You knew your fear wasn’t irrational given what you’d gone through but it always felt stupid to say out loud.
“I know, it’s okay,” he says. “Let me sleep on the floor, I can get the old air mattress and-“
You cut him off, “okay.” He looks surprised.
“Okay,” he says. “Here come with me to go grab it.”
You and Dick lay side by side; but you were in bed and he was on an air mattress on the floor.
“I can’t believe it’s still blown up after all these years, I wouldn’t thought it would like deflate or something,” you say.
“Right,” he says with a bit of a laugh. “The air in here is like what four? Five? Years old?”
“Yeah,” you say. “Goodnight,” you say.
“Goodnight,” Dick responds.
“Hey Dick?” You say.
“Yeah?” He says.
“Thank you for coming in when the lights went out,” you say.
“No problem,” he says. You weren’t sure which was giving you more vivid flashbacks: your panic attack in the dark or Dick Grayson sleeping on the floor next to you in Wayne manor.
Hey, idk how I feel about the Dick Grayson angst that’s ending up in here but I’m like half asleep writing it so I’m just gonna roll with it. I hope you enjoyed this part it was honestly pretty fun to write cause I LOVE being dramatic. Please like if you enjoyed, I really appreciate positive feedback cause then I am encouraged to keep writing and posting parts. Writing this has honestly been such a good escape and creative outlet. Also if you saw the last part and read my little rant after my mom is okay and home from the hospital🥳🫡This fic series is the first I’m ever writing so idk how good it is but it’s definitely fun to write. I have a lot more ideas including backstory and I’m also planning on developing the red hood plot, so remember to check out my Masterlist if you enjoyed this🩷
Here’s a link to my Masterlist if you want to read the other parts.

Bringing back my favorite non-described Trojan Side Character, Emma Swift <3 to drop some little headcanons and tidbits and things that get hinted at in Smoke & Spurs
- She’s from a tiny town near the Arizona/California border
- Grew up on a dairy farm
- Drives a rusted out blue pickup, the thing is halfway to falling apart on the side of the road but she loves it. She also claims that since it looks like a hunk of junk it’s less likely to get broken into in LA (which has been proven right thus far)
- Started playing exy in middle school, trying to have an extracurricular after school because her mom couldn’t pick her up right away and her dad didn’t want to drive all the way into town from the farm
- She was awful at first. She played goalie for awhile because it was the last line of defense and everybody else just worked harder to keep the ball away from her.
- She’d spend hours practicing at the farm, well after dark relying on the lights from the barn and a headlamp.
- By the time she made it to the high school team she was playing as a Striker because she was smaller framed, fast, and had built up a decent amount of strength simply pushing around cattle all day.
- Edgar Allen tried to recruit her during her season her senior year. Thea had come with, being local-ish at the time and knowing ravens like to travel in groups.
- She turned them down simply because she didn’t want to live that far from home. She didn’t realize the bad vibes and totally idolized Kevin, but wanted to be within a couple hours of her mom and dad.
- she didn’t get recruited by USC but listed her sport under her extracurriculars when she applied. They offered her a spot on the line up since they had a lot of senior strikers graduating.
- She’s majoring in Business Law, she wants to help save the small family farms of America from corporations taking up so much of the market share.
- her and Thea got along weirdly well, choosing to keep in minimal contact after Emma’s pestering. She didn’t quite understand why Thea seemed so adverse to it.
- she has a dog named Sparky and a horse named Daffodil that are her phone wallpaper and she shows everybody pictures of constantly.
- The Trojans gc gets the occasional photo of her doing crazy farm nonsense throughout the summer. One time, it was just her riding a cow with 0 explanation.
- Her and Jean don’t click at first and she just off handedly says “It’s weird, Thea says you’re so nice,”
- Jean getting violent whiplash bc how does she know Thea
- Slowly he warms up to her, it’s kind of like the older brother instinct. Except he watches her drop a man on his ass with one punch and realizes he doesn’t need to be protective at all, she’s pretty much able to handle herself.
- Her being a weird Kevin fangirl and then actually meeting him on the court and Jean being like “he is really not that special”
- she teases about Jean’s French accent. He can’t even be bitchy about it because she speaks fairly good French (4 years in high school)
- Jeremy and Emma chaotic blonde striker duo. “The dumb blondes” and her being offended because his hair is bleached. “He’s not even a natural blonde!”
Idk I’m obsessed w/ the idea of her

one last chance to make it real
idk sometimes the writing possesses me. decided to write a little more set in that ambiguous modern au soup where i keep throwing all my ocs -- this time about thea finally kinda figuring out how to feel about jasmine, so definitely warnings for mentions of grooming, a high school teacher/student relationship, etc.
It was such a fucking anticlimactic end to everything, after everything. Jasmine came round just like she always did, always had, laughed at how surprised Thea looked, said something sugar-sweet on the front porch, and then the girls got home from school. Rosie had just gotten her drivers’ license the other day, which meant Thea didn’t have to drive round and pick them up anymore—they were all so excited about that, about Rosie being old enough to drive, trustworthy enough to drive Thea’s car. Apparently she’d been bragging about it to anyone who would listen at school, and she’d already started attaching bumper stickers that said things like HONK IF YOU LOVE ONE DIRECTION.
Thea still wasn’t sure what was so special about one direction. Usually you needed to make a few turns here and there to get anywhere. She’d said as much to Rosie and the girl had just about keeled over giggling, and then she’d told the whole thing to Jane, and Jane had fallen over sideways into a postcard stand because she was laughing too hard, which probably meant it was one of those new-generation things that eluded Thea. Course Jane was only about a half decade younger than here, but there was still a bit of a gap. Not as much as there was between Thea and Jasmine, though.
Jasmine turned when she saw the car pulling up the driveway. The last time she’d been round was during the girls’ winter break, back when they were in elementary school. Thea had sent the girls to go stay with Jane and Caleb, because by that point she knew Jasmine was really just visiting to prove that she could, even after—god, nearly forty years. She wasn’t expecting Jasmine to stay, but she let Jasmine think that she was, if it made Jasmine feel a bit better—imagining that Thea was still in that nervous high school stasis, waiting for that beautiful substitute drama teacher to finally leave her husband so that they could run away together. It was like a marriage, almost, except not really. Thea didn’t know why she still let Jasmine come round.
The girls were getting out of the car. Roslin was still in her cheerleading outfit, her bright pink hair tied up in those big pink puffs, and Lenora was wearing an oversized sweatshirt of Thea’s that was clearly meant to disguise the too-short skirt and fishnets that Thea had told her she wasn’t to fucking wear to school, she’d get dress coded, and they’d already been called into the middle school enough times over Marigold misusing lab equipment that they were under scrutiny from the high school as to Thea’s fitness as a parent. So Thea was really just thinking about that, because everything always stopped when the girls showed up, when Jasmine said, a laugh in her voice, “Oh, and which one of them’s your girlfriend, then?”
Thea turned very slowly. The girls were still too far down the drive to have heard. She didn’t say anything at all, because what the fuck could you say to shit like that? Something was turning over in her head that hadn’t before.
Jasmine was still smiling, prettily, like she didn’t see what she’d said wrong. Like it was funny, now. Like what she’d done was something that they could joke about, years later, and maybe it had been for a very long time. But.
“Get the fuck off my porch,” said Thea.
Jasmine’s smile froze. Forty years, and Thea had never once said anything like that in that tone of voice. She didn’t seem to know what to do with it.
“I fucking mean it,” said Thea. “Get the fuck off my porch. Get out of my house. Get out of my life.”
The girls were far enough up the drive to have heard that. They were all standing there, sweetest little biscuits in Thea’s life, the most important things in the entire world, with their fresh faces and their bright eyes and—and Rosie was only a year younger than Thea had been when Jasmine had kissed her after class. If a teacher in that school ever kissed Rosie after class, they would have to put Thea in fucking prison for fucking murdering that teacher.
Something had shifted sharply into focus.
Jasmine said, forty years too late, “Thea—” and she didn’t sound apologetic, she sounded afraid. She looked like a bug did when you raised a rock and shone a light on it. “Thea,” she tried again. “Althea. I—”
And then Rosie, bless her, edged past Jasmine on the porch, violently enough that Jasmine’s designer high heel got stuck between the wooden slats and snapped sideways as she tried to steady herself. She had to grab onto the porch railing to keep from tipping down the stairs. Rosie ignored Jasmine entirely, of course, just grabbed Thea’s arm like she did every day she got home, clinging like a little limpet. Kissed her on the cheek. “Hi, Mommy!” she sang. “We totally didn’t crash your car today!”
Thea saw the word mommy register with Jasmine, who had gone very, very pale, and who was now trying with particular urgency to remove her high heel from the porch. She kept her eyes on Jasmine, because that was what you did when there was a fucking monster that near your daughters. You did not take your eyes off the thing for even a second. “Rosie, go inside,” she said.
Rosie wavered with that oldest-sister inclination that was lovely on days when Thea wanted extra help with the dishes and a bit much to handle on days when Rosie thought Thea needed extra help with taxes. Some things were a bit too grown-up for sixteen-year-olds, even sixteen-year-olds with a drivers’ license. Norie, though, older sister without being the oldest, curled her fingers into the crook of Rosie’s elbow and towed her into the house.
Mari was the last up the porch steps. She stopped in the doorway, and her eyes met Jasmine’s.
For a heart-stopping and deeply fucking irrational moment, Thea thought, hysterically, it’s going to happen all over again and I can’t stop it. But Marigold—well, Marigold refurbished the school’s microscopes, Marigold didn’t see the point of rules when they inconvenienced her, Marigold colored within the lines but used all the wrong colors to do it. So Marigold, improbably, tilted her head, staring at Jasmine with hard-honey eyes, and said, “Hey, um, respectfully, you’re totally ruining the aesthetic of our porch? Like, Rosie worked really hard to pick out all these decorations, and Jane even taught us how to make a Pinterest board and everything. See, we’ve got the lawn flamingoes, we’ve got the little tiki torches, but what we didn’t put on our Pinterest board is tacky old lady in a fur coat. Have you ever even tried to learn to walk in high heels on a wooden porch? Because it’s not as hard as you’re making it look.”
And somehow all that fear and anguish rushed out of Thea like air from a balloon. She turned towards Marigold, hugging her round the shoulders. Mari’s red curls were all jammed up in her face. “Go inside and do your homework,” she said.
Marigold gave Thea a smacking kiss on the cheek and stepped into the house. She made one last face at Jasmine before shutting the door behind her.
Jasmine said, in a wobbly voice, “Those are—your daughters?”
Thea knelt down on the porch, pulling her small utility knife out, and sawed the rest of the way through Jasmine’s stuck heel, freeing her from the slat. She stood up, thought about saying more things, and found that all the things she wanted to say were jammed up inside her. Fuck you for wasting my life, she thought. Fuck you for making me think that you were all I deserved. If a pretty teacher turned Mari’s head, she’d run in that direction without even thinking about it, because that’s what kids do. I don’t know why it took me till now to figure that out.
But she wouldn’t say it right—it never came out graceful enough—and Jasmine would laugh, again, and she didn’t feel like wasting her time sitting in the stinging humiliation of that. So she just went inside and shut the door behind her.
The girls were all clustered in the living room with big, worried eyes. Thea said, “Don’t fret,” and leaned down to kiss the top of Norie’s head—sensitive little spider was the most likely to be worried longer than her sisters. “Going to go and talk to Janie, and then I’ll come home, explain what just happened. Right now, though, you girls hold down the fort, and if that bitch tries to come in again, call the police, understand?”
“Is she going to?” said Marigold, now sounding a bit uncertain.
“No,” said Thea. “She’s not. But if she does, call the police. Hit her a few times too. We’ve got a good lawyer.”
⊹˚₊‧───────────────‧₊˚⊹
Thea’s good lawyer was closing down the music shop by the time Thea made it over, but that didn’t mean shit when you had a key of your own. She unlocked the door, shut it behind her, walked through the empty sunset aisles of records and CDs and whatever the fuck else the kids were putting music on these days. There was discordant twanging coming from the back room.
Jane was tuning her guitar. She looked up with a smile when Thea came in, but there must have been something in Thea’s eyes, because her smile stilled and softened into a much more worried expression. “Allie,” she said, setting the guitar down.
Thea said, “Broke things off with Jasmine.”
Jane said, “What the fuck?”
“So anyway,” said Thea. She sat down next to Jane, picking up the guitar. “How was your day?”
Jane said, again, “What the fuck?” and then took the guitar away from Thea, holding it tightly against her like a security blanket. “Are you serious?”
Thea nodded. Her jaw was very tight. “So you can tell me how right you are, now,” she said, “about how fucking stupid that whole thing was, and I can say, yeah, it was stupid, she was fucking a teenager, I was Rosie’s age when she started making eyes at me, and she fucked up my entire fucking life, and I’ve spent my entire fucking life in—in whatever this is, with her, whenever she needs to feel young and—and fucking important, and I don’t—have—anyone, now, because I can’t—I don’t—”
Jane’s mouth pinched together like she wanted to smile but thought she probably shouldn’t. “Allie, I’m not going to luxuriate in my rightness,” she said. “This isn’t a win for me. I mean, it is, but not in the way you think.”
“Then in what fucking way?”
“She’s absolute detritus,” said Jane. “No—organic matter is still going to make the world better in the long run. She’s all that nonbiodegradable plastic we’re making nonstop and throwing into our landfills. Contributing to all those wildfires in California and the expanding polar vortex.”
“Simplify, Janie,” said Thea tiredly, “I am having the worst fucking day, and I can’t get goddamn academic about it.”
“Global warming doesn’t really qualify—” Jane started, and then winced a little and said, “Not my point. Look, I don’t care about being right, Allie, I care that she’s not anywhere near you. She doesn’t deserve you.”
“I don’t know about that,” said Thea miserably.
“Well, all right,” said Jane. “Luxuriate in your incorrect opinions, if that’s what makes you feel better today. I need to finish tuning this thing.” She strummed her guitar experimentally, adjusting the strings. “I think it’s just about there.”
“You’re such a fucking perfectionist,” said Thea. “It sounds fine.”
Jane glanced back up at Thea. “Are you all right?”
“What? No. Fuck no. Did you know she—”
“Yes.”
“And I was—”
“Yes. The first time you told me, I tried to get you to file a police report.”
“Statute of limitations probably expired,” Thea muttered.
“Now who’s getting goddamn academic?” At Thea’s look, Jane sighed, setting the guitar down again. “Allie, I—I did what I could. I kept your kids away from her, which we both know you wanted, and we both know why you wanted it. I figured you’d get there in your own time, and I knew you wouldn’t put your daughters in danger, ever, and—” She exhaled. “I did tell you,” she said. “I tried to tell you. For years. But I think it was too much for you, at the time, and I didn’t want to make it harder for you.”
“You should have tried harder.”
“I’m sure I should have.”
Thea felt the lack of an argument keenly. Jane wasn’t a lawyer anymore, at least not officially, but she still loved to argue, enough that her deciding not to argue a point meant that she really believed it. “I’m sorry, Janie,” she said. “I—I’m being unfair. I’m—”
“Not all right,” said Jane. She handed Thea the guitar. “Well, if it’s tuned well enough, you try and play something.”
Thea wasn’t half as good on guitar as Jane, but she couldn’t spend half her time with a music teacher without picking things up—or, more accurately, with Jane Medina, who wouldn’t let her live her life without knowing at least a few songs on the guitar. So she strummed the one that felt the best for right now, and Jane began to sing.
⊹˚₊‧───────────────‧₊˚⊹
The screen door slams, Mary's dress sways
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays
Roy Orbison's singing for the lonely
Hey, that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again
I just can't face myself alone again
Don't run back inside, darling
You know just what I'm here for
So you're scared and you're thinking
That maybe we ain't that young anymore
Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty, but hey, you're alright
Oh, and that's alright with me

Thea stopped strumming.
“Always Springsteen with you,” said Jane. She moved a little closer and pressed her cheek briefly and awkwardly to Thea’s shoulder. “It’s going to be okay.”
“I don’t think it is,” said Thea unsteadily.
“Well, I didn’t think it was when Caleb died,” said Jane, “and it’s still not, sometimes, but, I don’t know, sometimes it is.” She nudged Thea’s shoulder. “And I am here, Allie.”
She was. And Thea loved her so enormously that sometimes it hurt to even look at her. Today wasn’t really a day she could think about that, though, so she just let herself tip sideways into Jane. “I have to figure out what to tell the girls,” she said. “They saw me—well. I told Jasmine to fuck off, basically. Surprising how well that worked.”
“To be fair, you’ve never done that,” said Jane. “Ever. In forty years. Because you are a saint incarnate, and she knows that, and she takes advantage of it and has since you were—” She exhaled sharply through her teeth. “No. Nope. Sorry. Not my point. Jesus fucking Christ. Not my point. Every fucking day I wake up mad she’s not dead yet. Not my point.”
Thea smiled against Jane’s shoulder. “What do I tell the girls?”
“God, don’t even worry about that. I’ll handle it. You told Jasmine to fuck off; you get a break from telling the girls anything.”
“Sort of feel like you’ll tell them something that makes her sound bad.”
“Oh, sorry, should I find a nice way to talk about the statutory rapist?”
Thea stiffened.
Jane exhaled, sounding more frustrated with herself than with Thea, and said stiffly, “This is…why I don’t talk to you about it, Al. I’m not…you know I’m not good with the…I don’t know, Caleb and I were talking about it a little before he died, and he wanted to sit down with you at some point, try to walk you through it, but then that never happened, and, well.”
“No, I know,” said Thea. Her fingers closed gently around the hem of Jane’s sleeve.
“I just don’t know how to talk about her constructively,” Jane continued. “Speaking as a lawyer, I truly believe that she should be set on fire.”
“I know.”
“And you’re too good for her.”
“I—” Thea stopped. “Well, can’t say I know that.”
“Which is her fault.”
“Don’t work yourself into a lather before you figure out what to tell the girls.”
“I’m not telling them anything important,” Jane asserted. “Just that she’s a dangerous person who’s hurt teenagers before, and you were intensely unnerved by her being at your home when you’ve got three daughters to think about. I think that’s a good enough explanation.”
“Yeah,” said Thea quietly.
Jane wasn’t really one for a lot of smiling, but her expression took on a subtly softer quality as she turned to look at Thea all the way. “You are so strong,” she said, “and you fucking killed it today. I’m so goddamn proud of you.”
Thea leaned forward and pressed her forehead to Jane’s. The warm sunset threaded reds and oranges and yellows through Jane’s soft black hair.

Virginia, Oceana Naval Air Station, Summer 2018
Bradley slammed on the brakes a bit harder than necessary, knuckles white from gripping the steering wheel too tight. Thea was quiet in the passenger seat, playing with the hem of her jean shorts as he sat in silence in the driveway.
Dinner had been tense, to say the least. Bradley’s mood had only gotten worse as Athena continued to pester them. At first she had taken an interest in Thea, asking her all sorts of questions. It was innocent enough but Bradley knew there was nothing innocent about his WSO. He had kept quiet though, hand resting on Thea’s knee as she answered Athena’s rapid questions.
Bob and Hangman had seemed oblivious to the tension at first, eager to catch up since they last saw each other. Bradley hated how well they seemed to get along. Like Hangman and Bob were actual friends. It felt wrong. Hangman wasn’t a friendly guy and Bob should know that. Especially if they spent months together on a carrier. He couldn’t exactly put his thumb on why it bothered him so much, but it did.
Hangman and Bob eventually ran out of things to talk about and turned their attention to Thea. To his dismay, his girlfriend and Hangman got along like two peas in a pod. Bradley hated it. He hated how Hangman made her laugh, trading life stories like they’ve known each other for more than an hour. And he hated the way Hangman looked at her. He shouldn’t be looking at her at all. Thea was taken. She was Bradley’s girlfriend and Hangman had the audacity to flirt with her when Bradley was sitting right next to them.
Bob hadn’t interfered, smiling and sharing anecdotes from his and Hangman’s time together. Bradley hated that too. Nobody had seemed to care that Bradley wasn’t really a part of the conversation. Nobody except Athena. She spared him the occasional glance, something vicious dancing across her features each time he caught her watching.
When Athena then veered into more intimate details of his and Thea’s relationship, Bradley slammed a fist on the table and told her to stay out of it. His outburst startled the occupants of the table, as well as several other patrons of the restaurant. He had excused himself to the bathroom for a chance to calm down. He hoped that Athena would keep her mouth shut while he was gone.
There had been a tentative knock on the door, Thea was hovering outside the door, worry etched onto her face. He stepped out of the bathroom, refusing to meet her eyes.
“Are you okay?” She asked as he closed the bathroom door behind him, not bothering to answer her as he tugged her into his arms, burying his face in her hair. “Bradley, please, what’s wrong?”
“Can we just go home?” He had asked instead of answering Thea’s questions. He wanted to go home, wrap Thea up in his arms and never let go. She sweetly told him to head for the car while she said goodbye, never the one to push.
The drive home had been quiet, Bradley’s anger still rushing through him. Thea shifted uncomfortably the entire way, opening and closing her mouth several times but never saying anything.
She exited the car and Bradley wondered for a split second if he should go back to base but Thea called out his name, stopping in the doorway. “Are you sleeping in the car tonight or what?”
He followed her into the bedroom and they got ready for bed in silence. At least she wanted him here. Thea was already in bed when he exited the bathroom, phone pressed to her ear.
“Yeah okay. Tell them sorry for cutting dinner short. ‘Kay, I will. I love you, goodnight.” The term of endearment threw him for a loop until he realised she was probably talking to Bob. He got under the covers, desperately wishing he could just pull her into his arms.
“Are you going to tell me what’s going on?” Thea kept her eyes trained on the ceiling, fingers fidgeting on top of the duvet. Bradley doesn’t know exactly what’s going on so he settled for the one thing he did know.
“I didn’t like the way he looked at you.” It’s childish and he knows it but it’s also true.
Thea frowned, turning onto her side to study his face. “What do you mean?” Bradley isn’t going to insult her by asking how she could have missed the obvious.
“Hangman. He looked at you.” Bradley’s tongue darted out to wet his lips, taking a deep breath. He could see Thea’s hand moving in the corner of his eye and when she made contact with his naked skin, he sucked in another breath.
“Babe, we were talking. Of course he was looking at me. Would have been quite rude not to.” She poked his side, trying to lighten the mood.
“He didn’t need to look at you like that,” He whispered.
Thea inched closer. “Like what Brad?” Her lips pressed against his bicep, ghosting over his skin.
“Like he wanted you.”
Thea barked out a laugh, coughing when she realised he was serious and didn't find the whole thing amusing. “Oh honey. He was being polite. That’s all. And even if he did look at me like that, it doesn’t matter. All I want is you.” Thea crawled on top of him, kissing his nose when she settled on his chest. When he didn’t answer, she continued to press kisses to his face, tongue darting out to trace his bottom lip.
Flipping them over was easy and Thea gasped his name when he pressed her into the mattress. He lets his hands roam, enjoying the way she shuddered when his fingers traced along the waistband of her underwear. Her touch faltered as his hand skimmed over her shirt clad stomach, their foreheads pressed together.
“Please.” He whispered against the hollow of her throat, lips finding her skin. He pulled back to look into her eyes, repeating his plea. It’s a cheap shot but he could try. She hesitated and Brad decided to throw caution to the wind as he pressed his hips closer.
“Thea. Please, I want you. Say you want me too. Say you’re mine.” He begged. Tell me you belong to me. Tell me you don’t want anyone else. Tell me I am the only one. Tell me you don’t want him.
“I love you, Thea.” He tried again, leaning back slightly. An uncomfortable tightness grew in his chest, very much unlike the tightness of his boxers. Her silence sent him into a downward spiral of doubt and insecurities, hands reaching inside his chest and squeezing his heart.
“Brad. Bradley. Look at me.” As if she could sense his panic, Thea reached up to frame his face, thumbs stroking his cheeks. “Promise me this isn’t because of what happened tonight. Promise me what you’re saying is how you really feel.”
“Of course it’s real.” It’s also so Athena would leave him alone but Thea didn’t need to know that. She didn’t need to know about the bet. But he did love her, so much he thinks there’s no room for him to feel anything else than this overwhelming need to constantly be with her.
“I love you, too, Bradley.” He didn't need to hear more, reaching down to press their lips together. Thea reached blindly for the light, the room descending into darkness as he slowly pulled the shirt over her head.
“I’m yours Bradley. I want you.”
Tumblr media
“Nice of you to skip out on the bill, dickhead.” Was Athena’s way of joining the conversation he and Bob currently was involved in. The bar was packed with people, nothing new for a Friday night but Bradley had hoped to avoid Athena tonight. Even if he had made good on the bet, Bradley had hoped a single text would suffice and then everything could go back to normal.
He was nursing his fourth beer when his backseater joined him and Thea’s brother at the bar.
“I said I was sorry. And we did pay you back.” Bradley muttered, rolling his eyes. Athena waved down the bartender, asking for a beer, eyeing Bradley up and down.
Bob smiled politely when she joined them, munching on a few peanuts. “Isn’t Hangman here? We were talking about going to the golf course before dinner ended.” He angled the cup of peanuts towards her, a silent offer.
“No, he’s meeting someone tonight I think.” There it was again, the white hot jealousy igniting within him every time they mentioned Seresin. Everything about the man infuriated Bradley. His friendship with Bob, the very obvious way he looked at Thea.
“Well, I’ll see him tomorrow. You up for some golf Rooster?” Bob’s invitation was genuine but Bradley could think of a hundred other things to do before meeting Hangman again. He swallowed a mouthful of beer before answering.
“Sorry, but I’ve got some solo simulations to run.” There was no need to mention that he’d never played a single game of golf in his life, except on Wii. He detested the sport, there wasn’t anything remotely fun about it.
Bob smiled brightly, so like Thea’s smile. “Yeah, Thea mentioned that earlier when we spoke. Sorry man, totally forgot.”
Bob downed the last of his water before bidding them goodnight, citing that he and Seresin planned to meet up early the next day.
Athena pounced the moment he was gone, turning towards Bradley with a wicked glint in her eye. “So? Tomorrow’s the deadline, Bradshaw. Sealed the deal yet? If not, we could always call Jake. He’d be down to fuck her in a second, she’s all he’s talked about since dinner.” As always, she pushed the right buttons and Bradley forced himself to let go of his bottle before he broke it.
“Fuck him. I saw the way he was looking at her. She’s mine. Tell him to back to fuck off,” Bradley paused, letting out a heavy breath. “I did it. So you can back off now.”
“Nice. Honestly, I didn't think you had it in you chicken. I’m proud. Next round’s on me.” Athena smacked his arm, looking way too pleased. Bradley had a feeling she wasn’t going to behave any different. Before he could say something, Orca and Spot showed up, nodding their hellos.
“What is this I hear about you buying Simons? What did we miss?”
“Bet Bradshaw here free drinks forever if he fucked lil Floyd within three weeks.” Bradley choked on his beer, patting his own chest to get rid of the fluid in his throat. He turned to Athena, anger coursing through his veins. What the fuck was she doing?
“Hey look at that, big man Bradshaw. Good for you. Was she any good? She looks like she’s good.” Orca nudged his side, filthy smile in place, his blue eyes shining with interest. Bradley had every intention of walking away from the conversation but Athena clucked quietly under her breath, making crude gestures with her hands.
Spot grimaced, looking around the packed bar. “Tone it down man. What if Floyd hears? Don’t think he would appreciate listening to how Bradshaw railed his little sister.” He ended his sentence with a laugh, proudly accepting the high five from both Athena and Orca.
“Come on Rooster, share. She’s a pretty thing, isn’t she? She’s like a damn princess, all happy and shit.” Athena mocked, waving down the bartender for another round. Bradley sighed audibly, taking another gulp of his beer.
Orca and Spot laughed in tandem, making kissy faces at him. “Bradshaw, don’t go all shy on us now.”
“Maybe she was terrible. Fuck chicken, is that it? It was bad, wasn’t it? Fuck, I knew I should have let Hangman loose. You should have seen them at dinner. There were fumes coming out of this one's ears.” Athena patted Bradley on the arm. All three of them were laughing now, trading insults.
Bradley wasn’t drunk but he had consumed enough beers to have his judgement clouded. And when Athena once again mentioned Hangman, and his very obvious attraction to Bradley’s girlfriend, he had enough.
“Fuck you, Athena. Hangman isn’t coming anywhere near my girl, ever. And for your information, I fucked her until she cried. So shut the fuck up.”
Orca thumped him on the back, hooting wildly. “Hell yeah Rooster. Good man!” For a split second, pride filled Bradley and he joined in the laughter, reaching for another beer.
“Guess I misjudged you then, Bradshaw. As promised, I’ll back off.”
“Damn right you will,” he spat. “And no mention of any of this to anyone else, you understand? Any of you. I will make sure you’re all grounded.”
“Grounded for what?” Bob asked as he appeared over Bradley’s shoulder.
All eyes turned to Bradshaw as he squeezed his eyes shut for a second before turning to his girlfriend’s brother. “Nothing.”
There was a look on Bob’s face that said he knew more than he was letting on but Bradshaw was too impaired to begin to interpret it correctly. “Mhmm,” Bob hummed as he turned to the rest of the group. “I’m gonna head out. Behave, don’t make me come back to pick up any of you drunks.”
The group bid goodbye to the WSO and turned back to Bradshaw, the looks on their faces begging for details. Unfortunately for him, he was just drunk enough to give them what they wanted.
Tumblr media
When Bradley woke the next morning, Thea’s side of the bed was empty and his head was killing him. Rolling over slowly, he spotted a glass of water and Advil on the nightstand, a note laying next to them.
Babe,
Golfing with Bob this morning, didn’t want to wake you. You came back pretty late last night. Drink plenty of water, there’s food in the fridge.
I love you, Thea
Guilt coursed through him as he remembered last night and how he had bragged about their sex life with the rest of his squadron. It was a private matter and he felt threatened enough by Athena to spill details that weren't his to share. Bile rose in the back of his throat and he threw off the covers before sprinting to the bathroom, emptying the contents of his stomach into the toilet.
He heaved until there was nothing left, disgust and shame mixing with the hangover, filling his entire body. How could he have felt even a tiny bit proud last night as he shared the most intimate details of his and Thea’s relationship? How could he once again let Athena influence him? Each time he tried to step away, Athena was there, shoving another drink in his hand, mocking him quietly, out of earshot of the others.
Part of him had wanted to tell her how Thea was a thousand times better than Athena could ever hope to be, how he had never had what he and Thea shared while Athena and he fooled around. The other part wanted her to leave him alone, as promised.
Bradley sat back against the bathtub, head in his hands. He only had himself to blame for this. If he was lucky enough, his squad would keep their mouths shut and word would never get back to Bob about last night. He’d rather avoid a fist to the face. And either way, Bob was playing golf with Hangman today, so he wouldn’t be around the guys anyway.
Bradley frowned, swallowing thickly as he sluggishly moved back to the bedroom, reaching for Thea’s note. ‘Golfing with Bob this morning’ stared back at him, the nauseous pit in his stomach making itself known again.
If Thea was off with Bob this morning, it also meant she was hanging out with Hangman. Bradley crumpled the note in his hand, trying to calm his anger bubbling to the surface.
After Bradley had explicitly told Thea that Hangman wanted her, looked at her, even though she was with Bradley, she had gone off to spend the day with him. Without telling Bradley about it. She had deliberately kept it from him. Before he had left for the bar last night, he asked about her plans and Thea had just told him she was going to stay at home and catch up on chores.
Now she was off, meeting the one man Bradley had warned her off from. How could she? Maybe it had been her plan all along. Maybe Bob wasn’t even there, maybe it was just an excuse so she could meet Seresin alone.
Thea had told Bradley she loved him four nights prior but if she could lie about this, who knew if what she had told him that night was true? He was spiralling, mind going over every possible scenario. How Hangman probably had his hands on what was his right this second, how Thea had lied to him.
The ping of his phone interrupted his train of thought, alerting him to a new message. Scrambling, he pushed off the floor only to see Athena’s name flashing across the screen. It’s a picture attached in the text message and Bradley felt like vomiting again. In the picture, clearly taken from a distance, Thea is laughing, head thrown back and her hand on Hangman’s arm, matching smile on his face. Bob is there too but Bradley can’t tear his eyes from how she’s touching him.
Another message pops up beneath the picture. ‘Lookin’ cosy, don’t they?’ appears first and the three dots indicate that Athena is still typing. Fury fills his veins as she sends another picture, this time of Hangman and Thea getting into the same car, Hangman’s hand on her wrist.
Bradley threw the phone across the room, watching the screen crack as it hit the wall. His heart pounded against his ribcage, blood rushing to his head as he tried to control his breathing.
Somewhere he could hear the front door opening, Thea calling his name. Was she checking to see if the condo was empty? Was Hangman waiting in the car? Did she bring him here, thinking Bradley had already gone back to base.
“Brad?” He looked up to see Thea hovering in the doorway, concern written all over her face. “Babe, you look awful. Have you eaten?” She moved towards him but stopped short when Bradley stumbled to his feet, fire burning in his veins.
“Is he here?” He spat, nostrils flaring as he stared her down. He wouldn’t let her lie to him anymore.
Thea looked genuinely confused. “Is who here? Bob dropped me off but he couldn’t stay. Didn’t you see my note?”
“Oh I saw plenty!” Bradley laughed harshly. He moved then, bending down to grab his phone. The screen was cracked in three places but it miraculously still worked. He punched in the code, Thea’s birthday, opening his messages. The picture of her and Hangman getting into a car together lit up the screen.
“This! I saw this. What the fuck is going on? Why were you with him?” He showed the phone in her face, the pictures that Athena sent him on the display. Bradley watched her face closely as she studied the phone, brows furrowing.
“Babe, I told you. Bob invited me for a round of golf and Jake was there too. Apparently they’ve played together before and me and Bob always used to play back home. Bobby said he invited you too. He said you declined.”
Bradley snorted. “Yeah, and you obviously found that particular opportunity very good. A whole fucking day, alone with him!” Tired of being cooped up in the bedroom, he shoved past Thea and headed for the kitchen.
“An opportunity? Brad, that doesn’t even make sense. And Bob was there too? I don’t understand why you hate Jake so much. He’s been nothing but kind.” Her footsteps alerted him that he was being followed.
Bradley spun on his heel, making Thea smack right into him. “HE HAD HIS HANDS ON YOU!” The force of his voice made Thea take a step back, eyes wide. Bradley watched as confusion crossed her face, mouth opening and closing. She was stalling for time. To come up with yet another lie.
Brad swore, jaw clenching. “I saw you two. You let him touch you. You’re mine and you let him touch you!”
Thea blinked, lower lip quivering. “Babe, what are you talking about?” He fumbled for the phone again, showing her the other photo Athena sent.
“Brad.. where did you even get this? Look, he was joking about something, okay? I don’t understand why you’re so upset. We played and then we had lunch. Bobby drove me home afterwards.”
She’s lying. If she had sounded guilty, Bradley might have had believed her but all she did was sound confused. Probably to throw him off.
“Stop, just stop! Just admit you clearly came along just so you could see him. Tell me, did you plan this? When I went to the bathroom during dinner maybe, hm? Did you plan to meet up with him, and then let me fuck you the same night? You feel good now, when you’ve had us both?” He couldn’t stop, not now. Bradley needed to know the truth. The tears on Thea’s face might have hurt less if he wasn’t so angry, so filled with disgust and jealousy.
“Had you both? Bradley, there’s nothing between Jake and me. I love you. There isn’t anyone else.” She cried. Her tears did nothing to stop him.
“STOP LYING TO ME! JUST ADMIT YOU FUCKED HIM!” Bradley slammed his hand down on the counter, rattling the items on there. Thea shied away instantly, backing up until her body hit the wall. Bradley didn’t care, continuing his rant. “Was he good? Better than me? ANSWER!”
Thea pressed closer against the wall, sobs catching in her throat. “Please stop. Brad, please.” When he stayed quiet, Thea took a deep breath and straightened up.
“Look at me Bradley. Look at me. I don’t understand why you would think there’s anything between Jake and me. I’m with you. Okay? I’m right here. I love you. So please, just stop, just -“.
“SHUT UP!” Bradley grabbed the nearest item, hurling it towards the wall. He realised his mistake a moment too late as the glass crashed into the wall, Thea’s hand flying up to cover her mouth. The fear in her eyes was evident and Bradley immediately backtracked. He tried to apologise, moving towards her at the same time.
“Don’t.” Thea held out a hand, stopping him in his tracks.
Bradley’s hands shook as he tried to reach for her but she moved away, further from him. “I said don’t.”
He tried to say her name but Thea only shook her head, tears still streaming down her face. “I think you should go. You need to cool down.”
Her voice is quiet, barely above a whisper but Bradley heard her. The anger was still burning and he scoffed, reaching for his keys. “Sure. I’ll go. Don’t forget to text Seresin that I’m gone so he can swoop in.”
He turned on his heels, collecting his phone and jacket on his way out. Thea moved, asking him to stop it and just calm down. But he knows he’ll do something he’s going to regret, so Bradley opts for slamming the door behind him, rattling the windows.
He pulled out of the driveway, knuckles white as  he tried to control his breathing. He arrived at Parlor Bar before his mind caught up and for a moment he sat in silence in the car. He should go back, get on his knees and apologise. Wrap her up in his arms and never let go. But Seresin’s hand on her stays in the front of his mind and with that, Bradley made up his mind. He needed a drink.
Tumblr media
“Well, if it ain’t Bradshaw. What’s got you down?” Athena mocked as she joined him at the bar. Bradley is already 5 beers in and not interested in entertaining her. Thea’s betrayal still stings and he downed the rest of his beer, signalling the bartender for another. Athena ordered a beer as well, leaning back in her seat. He didn’t answer her so his WSO made her own conclusions. “Aw, did you and the princess have a fight?”
Bradley swivelled around on his stool, beer spilling from the glass. “Fuck off. Leave me alone. This is all your fault.”
Athena snorted, taking a sip of her beer. “I fail to see how it is. I delivered on my end. You fucked lil Floyd, and I backed off. If there’s a problem in paradise, I’m pretty sure it’s your fault, Rooster.”
“You did this. You forced me into accepting the bet.” Rooster argued, anger bubbling over. The bartender backed away after sliding an Old Fashioned in front of him and Bradley swept it down with one gulp.
"FORCED you?" Athena scoffed, a mirthless laugh following. "Bradshaw I didn't force you to do anything. Everything you did was on your own. Did I taunt you? Yeah. But you're a fucking Navy pilot, jackass. You should be above that. Guess they were wrong about you too."
Bradley stood suddenly, the stool rocking on its legs before clattering to the floor. "You fucking bitch. You can't handle the attention not being on you for three seconds and I'm the one who should be above it?"
Athena chuckled again, a mischief flashing in her eyes before she bit her lip and closed the distance between them. "You think I'm jealous of her? You think I’m jealous of your unicorn princess? You think I didn't have attention? Bradley, I've even had your attention this whole time."
"You fucking liar," Bradley spat. The room was spinning slightly, the amounts of alcohol he’s downed in rapid succession making itself known.
"Maybe," she smirked as her hands settled on his hips before one hand skimmed his waistline and down his zipper. "Or maybe you're trying to lie to yourself."
Bradley hadn't even realised his cock had hardened in his pants while he was fuming at his coworker. Neediness overtook him at that point, fueled by the alcohol coursing through his veins, nearly enough to have him seeing double. Flashes of Hangman touching Thea in his mind, touching his girlfriend, was enough. He crashed his lips to Athena’s and pressed his length further into her hand. "Your room. Now. Fucking whore."
Tumblr media
Waking up hungover two days in a row hadn’t been Bradley’s plans for the weekend, yet he awoke feeling like he’d been trampled by a herd of elephants, throat drier than the Sahara Desert. Trying desperately to fight the nausea, Bradley rolled out of bed while shielding his eyes from the bright life, trying to navigate his way to the bathroom.
His head was pounding and he didn't remember how he even got home. After the fight, he hadn’t believed Thea would even let him inside the house, nevermind back into her bed. Regret flowed through his body and the pit in his stomach grew. A movement from the corner of his eyes caught his attention and he thanked every God there was for Thea letting him back inside.
He stumbled into the dresser, cursing as his foot caught on the bottom of it. There shouldn’t be a dresser there, Thea had hers by the entrance, not the door to the bathroom. Bradley stopped in his endeavour to reach the bathroom and rubbed his eyes, looking around the room.
A flash of panic went through him as Bradley realised this was not Thea’s bedroom. The silhouette of the body buried beneath the blankets moved, only to reveal the last person Bradley wanted to see. Athena.
His heartbeat accelerated, bile rising in his throat as he spotted his clothes strewn across the room, Athena’s naked body among the sheets. Pieces of the night before flashed before his eyes.
“No no no,” Bradley whispered, something foul and ugly building within him, “Fuck!”
He reached down to collect his clothes, trying to escape before she woke but the nausea wouldn't let him. Bradley sank to the floor, back against the wall as he tried to desperately stop the tears. His phone is buzzed in the pocket of the jeans, the cracked screen lightning up with Thea’s name. The bile returned again and Bradley scrambled to his feet and rushed into the bathroom before emptying his stomach over the toilet. After heaving what alcohol was left in his system, Bradley struggled to his feet, hands grasped at the sink.
What the fuck was he going to do?
“Good morning sunshine. You look like you’ve had better days.” Athena appeared in the doorway. He felt sick as he looked at her. More memories of last night popped up, his hands on her body, her mouth on his skin. He coughed violently, his throat still dry despite emptying the contents of his stomach moments before.
His face twisted. “What time is it?”
“Closer to lunch. Thanks for last night by the way. Nice to know the unicorn princess hadn’t turned you into a saint.” Bradley couldn’t stop the tears from falling when she mentioned Thea.
His heartbreak turned into anger when Athena laughed. “Oh, does the prince need a tissue, hm?”
“Fuck you.” He fumed, turning on shaking legs to look at her. Athena grinned, tongue darting out to wet her lips.
“You already did, if you don’t remember. I honestly thought it would prove to be a challenge to get you into bed, but you went oh so easily. Now, tell me. Who is better? Me or your little girlfriend?”
Bradley bit back his response as her words reached him. Get into bed?
“You planned this.”
Athena scoffed, leaning against the doorframe. “I wouldn’t say that it was a plan. You’ve always been so easy to manipulate, Bradshaw. I just had to press the right buttons. I did think you would change after meeting her but it seems like you’re just the same,” she pauses for a second, taking in his reaction, “honestly, I just wanted to see if I could.”
Bradley opened his mouth but words failed him. Athena took two steps, invading his personal space but his feet refused to move, frozen to the spot.
She patted his cheek. “Thank you for your service, Lieutenant. You can see yourself out.”
Tumblr media
He had hoped Thea wouldn’t be home when he finally made his way over to her place, but luck wasn’t on his side.
“Brad, oh good, you’re back. Listen, I feel awful about what happened. I need you to know that nothing is going on between Jake and me. Okay? I’m with you and I love you. There’s no one else. He’s just a friend. And he didn’t do anything remotely close to flirting with me. Bob was there the entire time, you can ask him. Just.. please, I don’t want us to fight.”
Thea kept rambling and he felt sick to his stomach. “Thea, babe.. I am so sorry.”
She paused for a moment. “Thank you. I understand that you were angry but your words really hurt me. I don’t understand why you don’t trust me.” The sadness in her voice brought a wave of anguish. Bradley knew he needed to tell her, but how could he when she was trying to fix his mess?
“I do trust you.” Is the only thing he can say. He does trust her. His own insecurities are at fault here, his own stupidity and inability to deal with his emotions.
“Okay, good. Uh, you kind of stink. Sorry. Why don’t you take a shower and I’ll make some food and we can talk more.” Thea is already moving around the kitchen, pulling out various ingredients from the pantry.
“I’m so sorry.” He says again, not knowing what else to say.
“And I forgive you babe. I just want this to be over, okay?” Thea mixed the eggs into the pancake batter, eyes trained on the stove.
Bradley swallowed thickly. “I made a mistake.”
Thea slowed her movements. “What do you mean?”
Bradley bit his bottom lip, sniffling quietly.
“After you told me to get out yesterday, I went for a drink. At Parlor Bar. You told me to calm down, so I went for a beer. I thought it would help.”
Thea pushed the batter to the side. “Okay. Like I said, I can smell it on you. It’s fine Brad.”
“No it’s not. It’s everything but fine!” Bradley wailed, rising to his full height. His heart plummeted to his stomach as Thea’s face fell.
“What’s going on?”
Bradley hiccuped, wiping away the tears with the back of his hand. “Athena showed up. At the bar. She figured out that we fought. Uh, I had a lot to drink. I was still angry, and jealous. God, I was so jealous. He’s everything I’m not, you know? And seeing you two together just bugged me, I-”
“Bradley.” His name falling from her lips stopped him in his tracks. It’s cold and harsh.
Thea choked up, hurt painted across her face. “What did you do?”
“I’m so sorry.”
She’s quiet for a long time, long enough to make him fidget uncomfortably.
“Did you sleep with her? Did you fuck her?” In the short time they’ve been together, Bradley has never heard her speak like this. He keeps quiet, his eyes trained on the floor.
“Answer the fucking question, Bradley! Did you sleep with her?” Thea’s voice shook, the trembling of her voice breaking his heart in the process.
“Yes.”
Thea laughed, the betrayal swimming in her eyes. “So after you accused me of sleeping with Jake, after you asked me if I felt good about something I hadn’t even done, you decided that the best course of action was to fuck your ex?”
Bradley leapt from his place against the kitchen counter. “I was wrong, okay?” He paused, swallowing hard. “Sweetheart, listen, it didn’t mean anything. She didn’t mean anything. It was a mistake. I was drunk, and I was angry and -” He fumbled for the right words, trying to fix the mess he had created.
“I TRUSTED YOU! I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING BRADLEY! One fight and you run back into her arms?” Thea dipped her head back as she sniffled and tried to stop the tears. His heart broke as she cried, taking a step back as he approached.
“Sweetheart…-” Bradley tried to reach for Thea but she pushed him away.
“Don’t touch me. Don’t you dare touch me after you’ve been with her.” Her hands trembled, with anger or betrayal, Bradley didn’t know. All he knew was that she slipped further from him with each second. He had to make amends.
“Did it mean so little to you?” Thea whispered. “Did I?”
“No. You’re everything. I love you.” Bradley didn’t know what else to say at this point. At first, he thought that maybe she would forgive him but after her reaction, he knew that it’s over.
Thea laughed through her tears. They’re standing on opposite sides of the kitchen but the distance between them feels bigger. “If that was true, you wouldn’t have slept with her. You don’t do this to someone you love.”
Bradley’s chin meets his chest, head hanging low. “I’m sorry. If I could take it back, I would.”
“Stop saying you’re sorry. It won’t fix this.”
“What can I do? Please, tell me what to do.” He pleaded, trying to round the island but stayed back as she shied away from him. “Please.”
She huffed at his words. “You can’t do anything, Brad. It’s already done.”
“Thena, honey, please…-”
She looked up, hands balling into fists by her sides. The hurt in Thea’s eyes slowly burned into anger, her mouth twisting in disbelief and fury. “What did you just call me?” Fuck.
“Babe..-”
“We’re done.” Thea spat, face twisted in pain. There was an odd calmness in her voice and Bradley hated it. He wished she would scream at him. It would have felt better.
“You know, I’ve given you every part of myself. All of me. I trusted you. And in return, you’ve broken all those parts,” Thea whispered. Bradley cried, wishing desperately that he could turn back the time.
“Get out. This,” she pointed back and forth between them, “Is over.”
Tumblr media
Bradley looked at himself in the mirror. His eyes were red and puffy. He looked as hollow as he felt. His image mocked him, a cruel smile twisted on his face.
His fist made contact with the glass before he could think about it. Blood mixed with glass crashed to the floor but it was only a dull ache compared to agony in his heart. It was overwhelming and he needed to feel something, anything else. With a swipe of his arm, he shoved the objects in his desk to the ground. He watched as they broke but it didn’t make him feel any better.
All he could think of was Thea’s face. The tears on her face, her anger and the betrayal he had committed. The damage was done, there was nothing he could do to fix this.
Bradley’s hands shook as he reached for his phone. He knocked over the bottle of Jack that sat on his nightstand but paid it little attention.
With trembling fingers he punched in a number he hadn’t called in years. As he waited, he both wished for the person on the other end to pick up and not pick up. He didn’t even know if this was the right number anymore.
“Hello? Captain Mitchell speaking.”
Bradley let out a sob. He’d almost forgotten what Pete sounded like. He swallowed hard before answering.
“It’s me. It’s Bradley. I’ve fucked up, I need your help.”

If there are Genshin characters whose design aesthetics match my style of character designs (aka, if there are GI characters that look like I could’ve designed them..?? Maybe a simpler version though haha)
I think… it’d probably be Diluc LMAO (medium/long-ish warm-coloured hair, black jacket, fire, alternate/secret identity, something to do with crime…) Or probably a mix between Rosaria & Amber but toned down, if you squint. But I admit, I haven’t really tried to do xianxia character designs prior to the game so the game is probably gonna be an inspiration for if I do designs like that?
.
These OC concepts are quite old except for the last three haha
Fuwuya (腐乌鸦, lit. rotten crow in Chinese) (she/her)
Tumblr media
Taru (he/him), Chroma (she/her?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thea (she/her), Edwin/Devin (he/him)
(orange-haired (Edwin) and greyscale (Devin) are the same person. identity issue)(man if I could render like THAT again… wow. So this is what I was up to in 2019 huh……)
(red jacket version is the “most current” design so naturally, when I first saw Kaeya’s key visual, I thought “Where have I seen these shapes before…. WAIT. WOW I’M PREDICTABLE” hahaha)
(because, I guess my type of character is just “friendly guy who’s depressed on the inside but has cool jacket.” bonus points if they’re an artist in any way, take a shot if they have trauma)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yinqing (阴晴, uses Chinese hanzi for cloudy and clear (skies))(they/them), Jintou (金偷, uses Chinese hanzi for gold and steal/thief)(she/her/he/him)
(These are just very rough designs still. Need to learn to do research first…)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Connor (he/him), Juki (樹希, uses Japanese kanji for tree and rare)(she/her), Frank (he/him)
Tumblr media
But really, these are mostly influenced by Sidu’s character designs for JIN’s Kagerou Project (I thought the Mekakushi Gang was very cool), Neru’s pre-CYNICISM MVs (specifically “World Domination How-To” (How To Sekai Seifuku) “Jailbreak”(Datsugoku) and “Life Prolonging Treatment” (Enmei Chiryou))… Thea’s second design specifically is inspired by the black-haired character in Yoshimitsu Taki’s “Setsuna Drive” (character also designed by sidu)
suddenly pivoted to xianxia furries around 2021 (thanks Genshin Impact and Word of Honour) haha. (Reference photo in Yinqing’s sketch is of Wen Kexing from Word of Honour.) The last three are recent redesigns of old character concepts… (but the tear-drop shape is vaguely inspired by Dvalin’s tear, and Frank basically looks like a short-haired version of my interpretation of Diluc)
.
Every single one of these characters (except for Fuwuya) is an artist of sorts….
Painter: Edwin/Devin
graphic designer: Thea, Chroma
Ceramicist: Jintou
poet/lyricist: Taru, Yinqing, Juki, Frank
musician: Yinqing, Connor, Juki, Frank

discord server tips. my main discord server is organized kind of unusually because it's technically designed for oc/art/worldbuilding discussion but i think we accidentally hit on a revolutionary new way of formatting a discord server
firstly, bc it was created out of a union of worldbuilders each with their own roster of distinct worldbuilding projects, we gave each member who wanted one their own server folder, and divided those folders into channels about different worlds and one general chat ostensibly for discussing things that apply to all their worlds.
the unintended effect of this is that we basically gave everyone a House and a Bedroom which we all kind of separately hang out in. we can idly muse about our day-to-day lives without interrupting someone else and it is so nice. I love being able to contextlessly post a screenshot of someone inexplicably obsessed with thea stilton from the geronimo stilton books for children without interrupting someone else infodumping about their current hyperfixation. it's so good.
the other genius thing we accidentally stumbled into was creating a dedicated channel for food discourse. this started because some of us live for needless conflict and others in the server get stressed out by unfounded snobbery, so we made it easy to opt-out of those kinds of conversation while simultaneously making them very easy to start and escalate. similarly, we have a chat dedicated to doing weed because some of us are bothered by drug use, and it basically does the same thing as the food discourse channel except for dumb shit we do when we're high. in the house analogy i guess these would be The Kitchen and The Living Room where we go to piss each other off with our own unique fucked up behaviors that drive our hypothetical roommates insane

FAMILY: mother - jennifer tiner pierce (katheryn winnick) father - carl sile pierce (daniel wu) younger brother - hu jacob pierce (kazuma mitchell)
pinterest here, playlist here.
WHEN ALL THE BRIDGES HAVE BEEN BURNED:
jennifer pierce expected the best of her children. she gave them the best so of course they had to return the favor. she had inherited her father’s business, and was excelling so much her husband took her last name. it wasn’t a feminist thing, but a money thing you see. alethea grew up without a want, but the truth of the matter is she never knew what she wanted. her mother made those decisions. from what she wore, to how she cut her hair, to who her friends were and what activities did. her entire life was planned to a t, and alethea never questioned a moment of it. how do you question something that you didn’t know was an option?
her brother jacob was doted on, and grew up with a grin and popularity. this was easy to him. this was painful for alethea. she smiled and waved, and the only matters of relief she found were in her ballet classes. going professional hadn’t been her mother’s first plan, but seeing the natural talent her daughter was, and just how feminine she was, allowed this small change in the over all path forward.
jennifer and carl met at ogden, and she knew that was where her children were to go. there was no exception, and jennifer would do whatever needed for her kids to follow her legacy. the major was flexible, but they would go to ogden, they would find suitable spouses, and they would carry on the family legacy. it was picture perfect, and she never heard a single word of complaint from either of her children.
AND ALL THE TABLES HAVE BEEN TURNED BY ME:
growing up without decisions meant college was terrifying for alethea. she had to pick her classes, find friends that her mother couldn’t approve of, and suddenly had free time that wasn’t planned out for her? it was paralyzing. but during the second week of classes greer spotted alethea across the way and took her under her wing. she showed her what the world could be, and she still fit under that approval from jennifer pierce. greer wasn’t just her best friend, but she was a bit of a savior for her.
this whole time there has been a gnawing in her chest. a desire for freedom, a petition to let the real alethea out and run free. but who was she? alethea couldn’t answer that, not honestly. just who her mother had manufactured her to be. but this confusion, this shyness, this quietness played into a different picture of alethea. it allowed her to be whatever anyone wanted her to be, they could paint their own ideas of her. she could be mysterious, she could be all they ever wanted. and she could be a dream.
and it was through this exploration that alethea slowly stepped out of the pillars her mother had built for her. first came the time greer dared her to kiss another girl during spin the bottle, and alethea realized that she might have enjoyed it more than her mother would have liked. and then came the time greer put her in a suit instead of a dress, and she liked the way it looked on her. and that maybe she wasn’t a girl after all, but something that could be shed. and so they started to pick up new pieces of theirself, putting them together to form a whole new journey. was ballet even the career they wanted? did they even like ogden? who were these people that had been decided as their friends? the questions became overwhelming.
WHO WILL BE LEFT TO LEAVE? JUST ME:
and now greer is gone. and it’s noticeable the change in alethea. it began before her disappearance of course, but could it somehow be correlated? alethea willingly goes out, sometimes alone, now. they are keeping greers friends, they are speaking up and out, they have a bite to them that hadn’t existed once upon a time. what does the future hold of alethea? are they becoming who they really are, or are they once again pretending, shedding the quiet role they had lived into for all their life for one that looks a little more like their now missing friend…
GREER:
during freshman year at ogden, alethea was absolutely lost and in-over her head. she had never been the rebellious type, her parents had been too strict to allow non-sense in their house, and so alethea was overwhelmed with the freedom college could allow, and she had no idea how to deal with it. her mother had always taught her to seek out the ‘right’ people to befriend, and it was just her luck that greer extended her own friendship to alethea. she brought them to the parties, encouraged her to flirt with whomever was necessary in order to go after who she wanted, and overall guided alethea through college. they doesn’t know if she would have been able to survive any of it without greer. there was little jealousy on alethea’s side at the beginning - she was just grateful for what greer could offer her through her friendship. and alethea was not a threat to greer. but as they’ve grown older there has been a tension living in the friendship, the reliance upon each other that might not be as necessary anymore. alethea was not anymore outgoing or less shy, but now her shyness was being interpreted as mystery, making them a bit more intriguing to others and perhaps sparking some jealousy on greer’s side.
THE DRAG-ALONG:
you know that girl that was always a few steps behind greer and the fallen princess? the one with wide eyes and a quiet demeanor? they never seemed to talk much, but even in their silence never seemed to be entirely so observant that you had to watch what you were saying. really, she just seemed like a little pet to the best friends, a third they allowed to follow them around.
and that person? that was alethea, taken under greer’s wing during the first weeks of school freshman year but never brought too close. it was the kind of relationship where alethea was sure to call greer one of her best friends, and greer might hesitate, only referring to them as a simple friend. but wherever the fallen princess and greer were, alethea was there. fingers picking at each other, posture both immaculate and slouched. each semester they seemed to get a bit bolder, inching their way up next to the other two, but still never find herself as an equal.
extra:
previous tasks found here
they have their septum pierced that they flip up whenever they go home and hide from their mother
her room is usually incredibly clean
often found walking around campus as if they are in their own world
junior year recap:
g told alethea to start a fight at greer's birthday party so she picked a fight with heni who pushed her in the pool
found polaroids with monty in their chalet during the winter ski retreat black-out
told heni about the polaroids (it was their chalet after all)
thought they saw greer in the hall of mirrors during the spring carnival
g set them up with lola in the library before the rave, did a poor job looking for g when tempted
suffered from smoke inhalation during the fire in the commons trying to escape out of the back
went mia for a bit over the summer

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Wins Award for Outstanding Attraction
Tumblr media
We are so proud to announce Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be honored with a prestigious Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement – Attraction in 2024 by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). Internationally recognized, the Thea Awards acknowledge exceptional achievements in the themed entertainment industry and celebrate the creative teams who bring immersive experiences to life. “On behalf of all Imagineers, I would like to thank TEA for this tremendous recognition of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and for continuing to drive the themed entertainment industry forward,” said Barbara Bouza, president, Walt Disney Imagineering. “As our Imagineering teams push the boundaries of creative storytelling in innovative and exciting ways, it’s always the highest honor for our work to be recognized by friends and colleagues from around the world.” EPCOT has always been a beacon of innovation and imagination, and this tradition has been carried forward with a spectacular new addition to the park — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The innovative attraction blasts guests off on an intergalactic chase and is the longest fully enclosed coaster in any Disney park. It also offers several “firsts,” including the first reverse launch for a Disney coaster and the first Disney Omnicoaster ride system, where vehicles make controlled rotations, so guests are always immersed in the action. Throughout the attraction, Disney Imagineers pushed the boundaries of storytelling and technology, creating an experience that perfectly captures the “grandiosity” and fun of the Guardians of the Galaxy. “Congratulations to Walt Disney Imagineering on this well-deserved recognition,” said Jeff Vahle, president, Walt Disney World. “A highlight of our EPCOT transformation, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind combines the Disney hallmark of great storytelling with a ride experience that literally has guests coming back for more.” We are so proud of all Imagineers and partners who created an out-of-this-world experience for our guests, and congratulations to all Thea Award recipients! "We'd never be so cruel as to make you choose. Although if you had to choose, your future husband should claim the number one spot," he suggested with a smirk, a kiss blown in Thea's direction to make it clear he was joking about the matter. "Fine. Wait all you want but I know I'm right about this. If you're thinking I'll look like Tom Selleck in his prime time, you're in for some disappointment." He'd definitely keep his beard going and then shave it all off except for the moustache part for the party. That was the only way it would appear decent. "I definitely want to have dad's Corvette for our going-away drive. That's all I'll ask for."
Tumblr media
Thea chuckled at Elliot's excellent save and quick thinking, which only fit as to why he was a great lawyer. "Is that right? Well then I am relieved I don't even have to choose then." She teased, giving him a wink, knowing that it wasn't like there was even a question of comparing the two men. She couldn't help but laugh as he reaffirmed that he indeed would look creepy. "Okay, okay I'll wait until you actually have a moustache to make official opinion, the verdict is still out now. But I have a sneaking suspicion I'll still think you're very sexy. I'm really, really biased." Thea gave a smirk as she was pretty sure that Elliot would be the same way if she changed her hair and Thea didn't like it that he wouldn't laugh at her. Or at least she was 75 percent confident that would happen. "I definitely want it to have everyone we love and then y'know we can let the reception be more of a party vibes. Quotes would probably be good though, just to see what we're going to need to save for. What's your like one big request of something you definitely want to have as part of our wedding?"

Queen’s Residence:
Tumblr media
Oliver had been gone for a long time. Nobody really knew what happened in his time on Lian Yu, except for him. And he kept that information close to his chest. His family didn’t need to know what he went through.
Moira welcomed her son back with open arms. She was more than happy to let him back into their home and into her heart. So relived after all those years she morned him and his father. She was instant on a party and a press event to announce his return. But she couldn’t risk loosing her child again, so she hired him a body guard. Jonathan Diggle was to follow Oliver around whenever he leaves the house. Drive him to and from locations and see to it he was brought home to her. Oliver didn’t like this, but he wanted to appease his mother.
Oliver had missed his mother of course. But he grew to miss his siblings just as much. Thea was so young when he left on that boat, and Y/N even younger. He doubted they would even recognise him. Thea was angry, something he expected. People reacted in weird ways to grief, and she had taken it hard. He watched from afar as she drank at a party, still too young to consume alcohol but not caring anyways. But he couldn’t tell her what to do, she thought he was dead for the past 8 years.
But he saw her with Tommy, his best friend. And Tommy was trying his best to get Thea off the floor and out to the car. He appreciated that his best friend had been trying to take care of his little sister. But you were nowhere to be seen at this party. Oliver assumed Thea would drag you along with her everywhere she went, but maybe he was wrong. Maybe the two of you didn’t get along like he imagined in his head. Which saddened him a little. He hoped if you didn’t have him, you’d at least have each other.
He met Tommy out by the car, greeting Thea. She looked like she’d seen a ghost. And she was more than wasted.
"Oliver." She mumbled.
"Let's get her home." He spoke to Tommy, ignoring his inebriated sibling.
Tommy smiled up at his best friend, just happy to have him home. Oliver gave him a silent thanks for keeping his little sister safe while he was away. The ride home was mostly Thea drunk mumbling into Oliver’s chest as she nearly fell asleep on him. Oliver didn’t mind her line of questioning, just happy to have her there.
He knew his mom was likely to throw a welcome home party for him soon. Considering the Queen’s were a high importance family, the press would have a field day with his return. But he could use Thea to stave off the party at least another night. Letting her sober up before the inevitable announcement of his valiant return home.
He carried his sister inside and Tommy followed after. Moira met him at the door, looking at her daughter questionably.
“Hello Tommy” she greeted.
“Hello Mrs. Queen.”
Moira invited Tommy to stay the night, enlisting his help to set up a party in the morning. Oliver carried Thea to her bedroom. He tucked her in and bid her goodnight. She was still mad at Ollie for leaving her, but she’d get over it eventually. There was still one person he’d yet to see. Someone who didn’t greet him when he came home. His youngest sister y/n.
He wandered the halls that night, unable to sleep in the coushy palace that was his home. He’d grown used to the rugged conditions of the island. His calloused body felt rough against the gentle sheets. He remembered her nursery being in the easy wing. She didn’t cry much as a baby, like he or Thea, so Moira and Robert didn’t feel a need to coddle her and keep her close. But he figured she wouldn’t still be there. Why keep the same room when there where countless others in the mansion.
He checked each room, all of them coming up empty. He began to grow concerned. It was two in the morning, where the hell was his sister? He wouldn’t wake anyone in search of her though. Thea was certainly exhausted, and his mom probably emotionally so. He finally opened the last door to his left and found what he was looking for. A room clearly occupied by a teenager.
There were posters plastering the walls, a lava lamp in the corner, and a seemingly endless supply of plushie creatures on the bed. But still, no sister. Her bed was empty. But he calmed his nerves, thinking perhaps she spent the night at a friends house. Thea had been out all night partying despite his return, so it wouldn’t be odd that Y/N wasn’t compelled to come running home either. She was even younger than Thea, perhaps she didn’t remember him at all.
He sighed and made his way back to his room, calling it quits for the night.
The next morning was chaotic as expected. Paparazzi where swarming the outside of the mansion, somehow catching word of his return already. Moira was doing recon, while Oliver attempted to sneak out. But John cut him off.
“Where do you think you’re going?” The older man asked.
Oliver sighed, Diggle was about to become a pain in his ass, that was for sure.
“Have you seen Y/N?” He asked.
“Hmm?” Diggle hummed.
“My sister, she wasn’t here last night. Perhaps she snuck in sometime this morning? I’d rather see her before facing those sharks outside. Imagine learning your brother his home from the tabloids.”
John sighed.
“I was just paid to keep an eye on you Oliver. Haven’t seen anyone else enter the house this morning.”
It was worth a shot. Oliver declined to his fate and put the sharks at ease, stepping outside. The next few hours were a whirlwind, of questions and party set up. Until half the town was cramped into the mansion and Oliver was the man of the hour.
Yet someone was still absent. Oliver had no idea what Y/N would look like all grown up. But his instincts told him she wasn’t here. He approached Thea and stopped her dancing to asks.
“Have you seen our sister?”
Thea shrugged. Oliver sighed heavily. He gently grabbed her arm and led her away from the vapid college boys swarming her. They were much too old for her anyway.
“What the fuck Oliver!”
“Why won’t anyone tell me where she is? What’s going on?” He asked.
It was Thea’s turn to let out a sigh.
“Did you check the closet in the foyer?”
She walked away giving him an odd look. Oliver thought this was strange. Why the hell would she be in a closet? But none the less he skilfully managed to ditch prying eyes and his security detail and make his way to the front room. Which was mostly free from loiterers.
He didn’t know how to approach, if she was hiding in a closet, she must have a reason. He gently knocked on a closet, something he never thought he’d do. He heard shuffling inside, indicating that someone was indeed in said closet.
“Thea, what are you doing away from the- oh…”
Oliver was shell shocked for a second. Seeing her so grown threw him off, he didn’t know what to expect. The tone of disappointment in her voice kinda hit him harder than he expected.
“Oliver?” She asked.
He gave her a smile.
“Aren’t your guests missing you?”
“Parties aren’t really my thing anymore.”
She grabbed his collar and pulled him into the closet, slamming the door shut.
Oliver let his eyes adjust to the dark, and stood there awkwardly. He cleared his throat, about to speak.
“Someone was walking by, they would have seen you and dragged you back. You’re the man on the hour.” She explained simply.
“Thanks. So, what’s with the closet?”
“You’ll make fun of me.”
“I’m your brother.”
She scoffed.
“By blood? Maybe, but I don’t know anything about you. You sure as hell know nothing about me. Besides, don’t brothers bully their sisters or some shit?”
He chuckled at her vulgarities, he didn’t know what to expect.
“You selling drugs out of our foyer?”
“You were legally declared dead mate, still are until mom’s lawyers figure out that bullshit. If anything, I’d be selling drugs our if my foyer. And no. That’s not it.”
He held up his hands in mock defence.
“I’m, you and dad left your coats in this closet before you disappeared. They still smell like you. I come here when I need to breath.”
“You come to a musty closet to breath?”
“And there’s the judgment. Get out!”
“Hey, no. Look I’m sorry.”
“There’s things you don’t know Oliver. You were gone a long time. So I’ll spell it out for you. I have autism. Means I’m a bit different then the rest of you. Parties overwhelm me and make me want to rip out my teeth. I also hâte change, you being a live was a major one. So I’m not leaving this closet until it feels safe again. It was nice meeting you brother. Glad you didn’t drown.”
He simply stared at her for a second. She was blunt, no lies like everyone else. A stupid grin broke out on his face.
“I can steal us some snacks from the party and be back before anyone sees me.”
She rolled her eyes.
“You’re a dork, you know that!” She pushed him out of the door. “I like the cheese squares and the orange soda, come back without those you’re getting locked out.”
Oliver thought he made a mistake to come home. Not ready to be back in society. But seeing everyone, seeing his little sisters, he knew he made the right choice. He was home, and he was excited to learn what they meant all over again.
An: ahhh sorry this was short. I haven’t been in the mood for writing recently. But when I am I will write y’all some longer form content. Be back soon when the burn out were made off! 🥰

living with suga tended to be peaceful almost to a fault except the few occasions all his volleyball friends came over and had drinks to reminisce about their "glory years" playing together. you could literally hear their booming voices and laughter from all the way down your hallway as you approached your apartment. you were welcomed by loud cheering already showing you how drunk most of them were.
you had been at work until later than you ever wanted to be so you were happy to finally arrive home and shower. it had been such a long day and it would end with a drink with your boyfriend and his friends. you finally emerged from your bedroom in an outfit you deemed comfortable, but cute enough joining the group of boys in your living room.
they eventually each made their way home or to their respective hotels by cabs, all except daichi. daichi was by the far the most sober out of them. he was probably even more sober than you as you had nursed a couple of drinks at that point of the evening. you sat at the dinning room table having a smoke still trying to relax after your tough day at work. daichi returned to the kitchen with a bag full of trash, offering you a sweet smile before reaching down to grab the other trash bags suga had left there to take down tomorrow morning. you reached out softly stopping him by the forearm before he actually grabbed the bags.
"daichi, you don't need to. suga and i are gonna take them down tomorrow," you insisted feeling guilty that one of your guests was helping clean so much while you smoked.
"i got it, doll. it's no problem at all," he insisted offering you a sweet smile before grabbing all the bags easily tossing them over his shoulder. he had lived in this apartment with suga before you moved in so he knew the building just as well as either of you so he simply left heading downstairs to drop off all the trash from the get together.
"did daichi take the trash?," suga asked as soon as he returned to the kitchen. you nodded and he simply sighed, annoyed but silently grateful he had done you the favor. "how are you feeling, baby?," he asked sweetly taking the seat next to yours.
"fine. my day was rough but you and your friends are lovely," you said with a little smile at the end leaning forward in your seat so you'd be at arms reach while still maintaining the veil of innocence. "did you have fun tonight?," you asked placing one of your hands over his rubbing soft circles on his knuckles.
"of course i did. you know i always have fun when everyone comes over, especially if you're here too," he leaned into your affection about to lean in to kiss you when daichi returned from downstairs.
"thanks for helping daichi. we really appreciate it," suga thanked him as he turned to his friend trying to hide how he had caught you two.
"like i told y/n, it's no problem. it's really late so i'll head home."
"you're going home tonight?," suga questioned knowing his drive home was the longest of all of them. suga assumed he'd stay in a hotel or somewhere in the city, but now he was concerned how long his friend intended to drive this late at night.
"yeah, i didn't think we'd all stay over this late, if i'm honest, so i just planned on driving back. it's fine, suga," he insisted.
"daichi, we literally have a pull out, you can just stay here," you interrupted the two of them. they both snapped their attention back to you. suga was so glad you offered because he didn't want to without asking you, but knowing you were okay with daichi staying the night was a relief. "i insist. i must repay you for taking care of our trash," you joked which made him smile slightly and swayed him to accept.
"fine, i'll stay the night. i'll have to leave in the morning though," daichi finally accepted your offer.
"you know your way around," suga joked.
suga and daichi finished cleaning up as you grabbed some sheets, blankets, and pillows for daichi fixing up your pull-out for him. you could hear the two of them chit chatting and giggling in the kitchen as they cleaned the dishes. they sounded just like two teenage boys joking and teasing the other back and forth.
"oh, doll, you didn't have to make my bed," daichi said as both he and suga returned to the living room.
"you're our guest, daichi," suga added as you leaned back on the arm chair of the couch. you looked up at them as they shared a playful look. you never saw suga as comfortable as he seemed around his volleyball friends. it truly was a bond like no other, a friendship not many would encounter in their lifetime.
"when was the last time you even stayed the night here?," you asked.
"not since you lived here, right?," suga turned to daichi for confirmation who nodded, attempting to hide a sly smirk when he seemed to remembered the night suga was referring to.
"yeah, i guess so," he responded hesitantly which made you cock a brow.
"now, what was that face?," you teased him making him blush slightly.
"what?," suga questioned with a slight laugh.
"it's nothing. i just... i'm pretty sure you guys had just gotten back together when i was moving out," he explained leaving both you and suga blushing instead.
suga and you had broken up briefly while you were working abroad. you had been working in seoul for a handful of years and tried to keep the relationship going long distance, but that didn't last long. eventually, you transferred back home missing your friends and hometown and you and suga inevitably got back together.
after getting back together, you and suga were often called menaces by your friends since you could not keep your hands off each other so you could only imagine the things he had heard from his side of the wall. their rooms literally shared a wall and those walls were not thick by any means.
"oh, i see," suga said with a little laugh. "im so sorry," he joked breaking the slight tension which made all three of you share a smile.
"well, we did put up with that girl you dated you who squealed all night," you countered.
"my bad, doll," he apologized. "you squeak sometimes too so i wouldn't-," he burst out laughing before even finishing his sentence at your reaction.
while it was incredibly embarrassing, you felt yourself just get hotter and needier in your place. daichi just had a way to make every word that came out of his mouth fluster you. every time he'd refer to you as "doll" you'd just find yourself rubbing your thighs together. it was driving you wild how casually he threw the nickname around.
"well, yeah, your squeaks are cute, baby," suga walking towards you, towering above you as you were sitting. you tried to hide your face away from them blushing wildly, but suga took your wrist in his hand softly tugging it away and placing a sweet kiss on your lips. it started off as a brief kiss, but he then pulled you back in leaving you breathless in his grasp.
"baby, how do you feel about having daichi come to bed with us?," suga asked against your lips. it took you a second to internalize his question as you caught your breathe. you turned your head to look at daichi who seemed just as shocked at his friend's proposal. it shouldn't surprise you that suga read the sexual tension between dachi and you, but it surprised you how perceptive he could be at times.
"i'd like that," you said shyly not even knowing how else to respond. yes, you wanted daichi, but you also didn't want to make anything weird between them or make daichi uncomfortable. "if, that's okay with both of you."
"it's fine by me, darling. daichi?," all the attention turned to daichi as suga turned his head to his friend waiting for an answer.
"i'd like that too, doll," he confirmed, which had your heart skipping faster as all three of you made your way down the hallway to your bedroom. your body was almost buzzing in anticipation, the only thing keeping you grounded was suga's grip on your hand. you were sure your legs would have given out on you if it wasn't for that.
"so shy now, aren't you doll?," daichi said as he followed you into the room.
you turned to him only now becoming aware of how much larger he was compared with you. he was a bit taller, but you paled in comparison to his much larger frame. he brought his hand up to your cheek rubbing it softly. he ran his thumb along your cheekbone and down to your chin then making it up to your lips. he traced the curve of your lips softly until you parted them taking his thumb into your mouth. a soft groan escaped his lips at the sight.
"atta girl. gonna take my cock so well, aren't you?,"the hard on in his pants was starting to become painful and it was only becoming worse with the feeling of your blissful tongue around his finger. you nodded at his words making him smile widely. "such a good fucking girl you have suga."
"aren't we lucky?," he responded making his way back to you. he had left his jacket back in your closet and was rolling up his sleeves as he reached daichi's side. "do you want to suck daichi's cock, baby?"
you responded with a nod eliciting a smile from daichi who pulled his thumb from your mouth with a pop. daichi and suga sat at the end of your bed side by side as you kneeled in between daichi's legs. your mouth was watering from the mere sight of his cock pressed so tightly against his pants, just dying to be let out. you reached up, undoing his pants and he finally pulled out his swollen member. his cock was monstrously thick, deceitfully smaller by his sheer girth, but he was still big. he laughed slightly noticing how you had paused for a moment to just stare at his sheer size.
"don't worry, angel, you can take it. daddy will make it fit," you caught yourself before you moaned at daichi's words, only able to rub your thighs again together hoping for some kind of friction. this man was going to make you cum from his words alone.
you wrapped your lips around his fat cockhead eliciting a delicious hiss from him. you wrapped your hands around his remaining shaft pumping the rest of his cock you couldn't fit in your mouth, needing both your hands to wrap around the circumference of his cock. you pulled back to take a breath smiling when you saw the string of saliva that connected your lips to his cock.
you leaned back down running your tongue up the two thick veins along his dick. daichi threw his head back containing a groan as you took his cock back into your mouth taking him as far as you could. your eyes watered slightly at the sting of his thickness down your throat. he was just so ridiculously thick...
"so fucking good, angel... taking daddy's cock so well," he praised. you flicked your eyes up moaning against his dick when you saw him losing his mind above you. "do that again, baby."
you rubbed your thighs together again feeling the wetness pooling in your underwear already. you moaned against his dick feeling your arousal and he let out another sinful groan.
"go on, baby. you can take more," suga cooed down at you moving his hand to the back of your head and pushing you further down daichi's cock until he was fully sheathed down your throat. he held your head down for a moment leaving you struggling for air. he pulled your head back up and proceeded to help daichi fuck your mouth. "there you are, baby."
daichi's cum harshly hit the back of your throat as you swallowed all of his juices then pulling up for air. you closed your eyes as you caught your breathe feeling one of them clean the tears that had fallen down your cheeks.
"been such a good girl, baby," suga praised pressing short kisses to your temples and cheeks then moving down to your mouth and chin, licking the cum and drool that had spilled out of your lips. "can't let any of daddy's cum go to waste, can we?"
you moaned at his words, but before you could even respond, he pulled you in for a messy kissy. he groaned against your lips at the taste of daichi's cum in your mouth. you pulled away then climbing on his lap and straddling his hips. you grazed your lips against his teasing him for a moment before diving back in for an equally hungry kiss.
you pushed your tongue into his mouth and he fought you for dominance in the kiss. you lost though the second that daichi pressed his lips to your neck sucking your pulse point to a mind numbing degree. suga slipped his hand down your joggers then tugging your thong to the side to rub circles into your clit drawing a low moan from you.
"so fucking pretty for us, suga," daichi said against your neck moving to leave hickeys on your jaw. "don't wanna hear you hold back, angel. you got that?," you nodded at his words.
suga pulled back from your lips so they could listen to your moans and mewls as he continued to rub your little bundle of nerves. he sunk a finger in without any warning pulling out a particularly high moan from you.
"there she is. i knew those pretty moans would be even prettier than i remembered," you clenched around suga's finger at daichi's words.
suga added in a second finger inside you pumping them into you and rubbing your walls deliciously. you ran your fingers through daichi's hair to keep him close to your neck, pulling at his short strands of dark hair.
"so good," you moaned out, your breathe hitching when he added his thumb to your clit rubbing harsh circles into the swollen bud. "suga, fuck-," you moaned against his lips as he crashed them back against yours. he couldn't help swallow all of your delicious noises as you moaned and squirmed in his grasp from the sheer pleasure just teetering on the edge of pure bliss. "so close..."
"go on, doll. cum for us," daichi commanded in your ear, throwing you over the edge.
you came on suga's fingers relishing in your bliss for a moment. daichi pressed his lips to yours swallowing all of your gasps and before you could even enjoy your orgasm, you were already a moaning mess in daichi's lips all over again. suga pulled his fingers from your out of pussy making you hiss in daichi's lips. he pulled away from your kiss with a smile.
"look at suga, angel," he cooed in your ear. you looked up to see your boyfriend pop his fingers in your mouth cleaning your arousal off his digits. "bet you taste so good, doll."
he and suga shared a brief look before daichi pulled away from you to bring suga into a kiss. he encased his face in his large hands slotting his tongue into suga's mouth to get a taste of you himself. it was the most erotic thing you had ever laid your eyes upon and it had you clenching around nothing.
they pulled away from each other and you became incredibly aware of how overdressed you all were. you took the opportunity to lift your hips and slip your joggers down your hips then slipping your crop top over your head to leave you in just your underwear.
"look at you, doll," daichi called out when he noticed your half-naked frame from over suga's shoulder. "now we can't let our girl be the only one underdressed, can we, suga?"
they followed your lead stripping to their underwear. daichi also pulled down his underwear, his already erect cock slapping his stomach. he turned to suga tugging down his briefs too revealing suga's long dick. pale, long, and slightly hooked at the end, he always managed to hit spots you never could no matter the toy you used. they couldn't be more different and just couldn't wait to be wrecked by them both.
"who do you want first, baby?," suga asked wanting to give you the control for a moment.
"i want you both," you answered honestly which only pulled out a small laugh from daichi.
"should've expected no less from you, angel," daichi praised which made you blush slightly before pulling you in for a messy kiss easily taking control of the kiss as you melted into his lead.
he turned you around pinning your body down to the mattress, but lifting your hips. he pushed a pillow under your hips and once he deemed you comfortable enough, he gave you a slap to each ass cheek pulling a small yelp from your lips. you felt his fingers circle your pussy, probing your entrance softly trying to gage if you were ready to take his cock.
"open wide, baby,"you turned your attention back to your front seeing suga holding out his dick for you. he didn't need to ask you twice as you practically pounced on his lap, taking his dick down your throat. "so good, baby."
he was already a moaning mess above you only spurring you to take more and more of him until you were pressed against his light pubes. you gagged around him though when you felt the sting of daichi's disgustingly thick dick pushing inside your poor pussy. his cockhead alone barely fit inside you and it had you absolutely dumb on their cocks.
"fuck, doll...," he moaned digging his fingers into your hips surely leaving marks behind.
for every inch that daichi managed to push in, you would moan against suga's dick only squeezing him tighter down your throat. you felt so full in such different ways as they both stretched your body out.
"oh, baby. are you already going dumb on our cocks?," daichi asked slowing down his pace until he straight up stopped just relishing in the way you squeezed him, but it was borderline torturous for you. "such a tight little pussy, doll. i could just cum from how good you're squeezing me."
you moaned against suga's cock drawing a hiss from him then trying to push your hips back against daichi's. he smiled at your pathetic attempt at getting him to move again, simply moving one of his hands to the small of your back easily stopping your squirming.
"what is it, doll? want more of my cock? don't mind if i do," he pushed against the small of your back to pin you against the bed before bottoming out.
the way he stretched you out was like nothing you had experienced before. the sheer pleasure and tightness was borderline overwhelming. you moaned against suga's cock taking him even more down your throat which just pushed him over the edge. you took as much of his cum as you could pulling away from him once you swallowed. you pressed your cheek against the mattress still trying to adjust to the overwhelming pleasure daichi's cock was giving you.
"y/n, do you want me to stop?," daichi's demeanor changed slightly as he didn't move a single inch. you shook your head letting out a slight groan, still too overwhelmed by his sheer girth.
"use your words, baby," suga coaxed softly running his fingers through your hair to try to help you relax.
"just gimme a second," you replied leaning into suga's affection softly. daichi softened his grip on your hips, rubbing soft circles into your skin. "mmm, daddy," you moaned pushing your hips back to him needing to feel him move in you.
"doll, you're doing so well," daichi praised as he gripped your hips firmly again. he pulled his cock out all the way to the tip before pushing back in, slamming into your soaked pussy. "taking daddy's cock so well."
he finally set a firm pace, not going too fast, but instead rocking inside you at a force that had you losing your mind. every couple of thrusts his cock would kiss your cervix sending you a new spiral of pain and pleasure. you reached out for suga's hands on your head needing something to ground you. you sunk two of slender fingers into your mouth sucking and moaning around his digits as daichi continued to pump into you.
"you look so pretty going stupid on daddy's cock. is he making you feel that good, baby?," suga asked pressing his fingers against your throat making your moan even louder and squeeze daichi's cock. you swirled your tongue around his fingers, your drool starting to seep out of your mouth as you struggled to contain your gasps. "do you wanna cum baby?," you nodded desperately needing to feel your orgasm.
"do you want my cum inside or outside, angel?," daichi asked.
"inside, daddy," he chuckled slightly at your response.
"as you wish, doll," he rammed his cock back in and you were a goner cumming harshly on his cock.
he didn't last long after you, your squeezing cunt, pushing him into an orgasm too. he came into the condom pulling out of you with a wince. you were squeezing him so tightly after your orgasm that it was unbearable to him. he smiled when he saw the mess that was your pussy, puffy and covered in juices from the multiple orgasms he and suga had coaxed out of you.
you laid in bed in pure bliss simply trying to regulate your breathing as you recovered from your high. you turned in bed to lay on your back smiling when you saw suga to your side.
"how do you feel, baby?," he asked as he laid next to you pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
"good," you shared a silly smile as you tangled your fingers in his silver hair pulling him back in for a messy kiss as you slowly pressed your bodies closer until you were flush against each other making out.
"do you think you can take one more?" he asked pressing his cockhead against your entrance, still waiting for your okay to push in. you nodded wrapping your legs around his hips to coax him inside of you. "so eager for me," he teased making you smile against his lips before he slipped his cock. he let out a blissed out sigh at the feeing of your fluttering pussy taking him further and further. his cock was much slimmer than daichi's, but it was also longer so while it slid through your walls easier, his curved edge made it so he could easily rub every crevice of your sweet pussy.
"s-s-so good," you moaned against his lips. "suga-," you gasped when he grabbed thigh pushing it up to throw your leg over his shoulder allowing him to go even deeper.
you couldn't even formulate words as he proceeded to drill into you, pumping inside of you at a speed and force that was making your approaching orgasm inevitable. he groaned, holding back as he wanted to cum with you until he finally found your sweet spot hitting it continuously with every thrust which left you a mewling and screaming mess. you had no control of your body or noises as your body just took everything that he gave you.
"come on baby. gimme one more. just wanna see you cum one more time," suga practically begged against your lips needing to feel your pussy cream around him.
"suga, too- too much."
"you can take it, baby. just gimme one more," you finally nodded wrapping your arms around his neck to pull him closer. he latched his lips to your neck sucking a bruise into your skin. he proceeded to hit your sweet spot with every thrust making you cum around his cock, your noises music to his ears as he fucked you through your orgasm, reaching his own orgasm with you. "you did so well," he kissed your lips, then nose, and cheeks. with every kiss you felt yourself closer to reality.
you shared one more sweet kiss, just consumed in your adoration for each other. the world could end around you right now and neither of you would notice. you only broke away from your kiss when you felt him start to pull out of you. you tensed up feeling the sting coming from below you.
"i know, baby. i know it hurts," he said against your lips as he stopped his movements. "just relax and it'll sting less. need to get you cleaned up."
you nodded taking a deep breathe to get your body to relax. he returned to kiss your lips before slipping his cock out then looking down to see the cum between your thighs. he got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to get a wet towel before returning to press it between your legs. he cleaned all the juices decorating your pussy and thighs as you still recovered from your orgasm.
you flicked your eyes open seeing daichi return to bed next to you after slipping his boxers back on. you shared a smile as he looked down at you still enjoying your blissed out state. he pressed a sweet kiss against your lips which you happily returned.
"do you wanna wear anything to bed, angel?," daichi asked as he pulled away from your kiss.
"gimme my underwear and suga's shirt please," you replied. he left and returned with both pieces of clothing. you slipped the thong and t-shirt on before crashing back into bed and cuddling into daichi's side nuzzling your nose into the crook of his neck. "you're not sleeping on the couch."
"didn't plan on it, doll," he replied, kissing your head.
suga returned from the bathroom leaving behind the towel he used to clean you and coming back in a a tank top and briefs. you turned in daichi's grasp towards suga. he met you half way leaning down to you to press a kiss against your lips as he climbed into bed next to you leaving you between both men. you turned back placing a short kiss to daichi's lips too as you all settled into bed.
"do i get a good night kiss too, daddy?," suga asked, adding a hint of mischief in his tone as he used daichi's favorite petname.
"come and get it," suga leaned over daichi and the two shared a short kiss before they each settled into either side of you.
"so that's how you got her to squeak like that," daichi teased, breaking the brief silence just as you were falling asleep.
"i don't squeak," you protested.
"you sure about that?," he questioned. "how about i ask the neighbors? i'm sure they heard."

c a m p n a n o w r i m o w r a p u p ; don't pay the ferryman
so, my goal for nanowrimo last month was 10,000 words. and yeah, i managed to achieve that, by writing literally everything except my camp wip. oops. so here's a quick summary and excerpt from what i did manage to write for 'don't pay the ferryman'.
s u m m a r y
don't pay the ferryman was my camp nano wip for july. it's a 'the good place' inspired story that follows thea, a ferryman in the Afterlife. the Afterlife is an amalgamation of various afterlife concepts, the way it presents itself to the deceased is catered to the individual. in the case of cerys, thea's new fare, Afterlife presents itself in the form of a long taxi drive home.
thea has been working the Afterlife for as long as she can remember. she had been human, once. she had died and entered the Afterlife, armed only with the silver coins in her hand. it was there she had met her guide and made a fatal mistake. she handed him the coins. she paid him before the journey was done. in doing so, thea swapped places with him, becoming one of the ferryman.
now, presented with the opportunity, thea must make a choice. does she trick cerys into paying her, thereby securing her freedom? does she condemn the girl to a seemingly endless torment?
t r a n s c r i p t
So, to reiterate. Philosophy is derived from the ancient Greek word meaning love of knowledge. The study of Philosophy seeks to make meaning of a seemingly random existence whilst attempting to find the answers to questions there are no real answers to. The Trolley Problem could be avoided with adequate occupational health and safety standards and Phillipa Foot would have made for the world’s worst taxi driver. Or maybe the best, depending on your point of view.
