Blood pooled from the boy’s torso, staining the stone stairs of the institute. Kevin had gone pale, his seraph blade dark now that they were within the wards. Aaron looked annoyed at best, his arms crossed. He stood up straighter when Andrew retrieved his stele from his pocket.

“He’s a mundane!” Aaron exclaimed, reaching for Andrew’s arm. “Bee will have your head if you kill him by trying to use runes.”

“He’ll die anyways, I’m surprised the venom is taking this long,” Andrew answered cooly.

He set the crystal end of his stele to the mundane’d skin and loosed a sigh. Andrew flicked his gaze up to Aaron, who understood in an instant and set his palm to Andrew’s shoulder. The parabatai rune they both bore on their shoulder blade felt warm for a breath as the stele glowed.

It faded in almost an instant.

“Well, shit,” Aaron said, removing his hand.

Then the boy’s eyes flew open, bright blue meeting hazel as he stared up at them.

My next longform Genshin fanfiction project since Foxglove is finally complete :)

Between two mountain ranges, tucked back in the hillside behind a forest of pines older than any living man, sits a small cottage. Smoke curls from the chimney, but mysteriously never hot enough to cause a fire. There’s a sprawling garden surrounding the home, filled with all sorts of plants that the animals and insects never seem to touch.

If you manage to make it through the forest you’ll find that a witch and his apprentice live there.

One day, the apprentice arrives home with a wolf too large and too tame to be natural. So, Tighnari takes to his books and scours his spells in hopes of curing the cursed beast.

Of course, he never expected that would lead to a gorgeous, silver haired man being indebted to him.
