I think something really weird that some of y'all do is when we have a popular gay ship and y'all don't like that gay ship you reach for the wayyy more problematic straight one. The only examples I can come up with for right now are from Ace Attorney. Y'all don't like shipping Phoenix and Edgeworth so you reach for shipping him with Maya or even Franziska. Even though Phoenix met both of them as either minors or fresh out of being minors. And it gets even more complicated when it comes with Maya because her and Phoenix met at such a delicate time in her life with her sister dying. It makes Phoenix seem like a predator. Bleh

I've even seen y'all do it with Simon and Athena. Y'all either don't like shipping Athena and Juniper or don't like shipping Simon with Fullbright/Nahyuta so you ship Athena and Simon. Which is gross and weird especially because Simon knew her when she was 11. Eleven!!!!
