All four versions, based on @desultory-novice's Apologies AU. Despite that title, I'm really not giving Noir a break here, huh?

The intital drawing (bottom right) was an attempt to resemble the official Kirby art, specifically the way lining and shading is done on it. As for the other three... well, how could I not use the retro game setting on my digital art app, or color it like how the actual fight with dms is? And how could I not have it so the rainbow was still on the sword and hair?

Also sorry if the first panel is unclear. Adeleine isn't trying to clumsily remove the visor, she's reaching in to touch his face to let him know she's there, as Noir is blind and deaf in this particular form, outside of what information the petals take in and transmit to him. They can't recognize qualities of the voice, ie, that it is his beloved little sister, simply that "some" voice is talking to him. They are also what transmits his "voice" (more like a droll, ghosty monotone) outwards.

Anyway, I was revisiting some of my favorite fairy tales, including HC Andersen's "The Snow Queen" (where the title originates) when I realized just how well parts of that story fit Adeleine and Noir.

In seconds, I'd written up a fresh script and was drawing this. It's a little rushed/uneven because I pushed myself to finish as quick as possible so that this could be my official last art post before my surgery tomorrow, figuring it was a good note to leave things on.

Call it ~fairy tale magic~ (although I imagine this is set sometime AFTER the Dark Matter Trilogy rather than during. Perhaps after Zero's "favorite tool" was discovered to be broken beyond repair and with Zero itself destroyed, 02 and the rest of the Dark Matter cut him off from the hive and left him to starve to death in the ruins of Shiver Star, where Adeleine eventually discovers him after revisiting her journey with the others) ...but at least we've got x1 Noir saved now!

Because I know you folks care about lore, drone-type or unhatched Dark Matter "feed" off energy provided from the Hive Queen and they will burn in the light without their queen's protection.

Main game Shiver Star is actually MANY years removed from the Shiver Star Adeleine and Noir grew up on. (Adeleine fell through a dimensional rift halfway off planet and wound up on Popstar YEARS later than she left. It's a...complicated...story I'll tell later, while Noir has been Dark Matter for much longer than it seems) So, in addition to there being no more people there, there is significantly less of the kind of light that harms Dark Matter. (Is it, in fact, DUE to the lack of living creatures on the planet?? Dun-dun-dun?!)

Speaking of lore: "Wasn't there a literal parasite inside this version of Noir?? Like, an eyeball in his chest? Is that just gone now?"

Fufufu...

It is not GONE, for no one goes through life without some consequences. Though it was starved into hibernation and made further dormant by ~the healing power of love~ Noir does retain some piece of Dark Matter living inside him. A creature inside that grows stronger feeding off his negative emotions. 

He will simply have to learn to control it instead of giving in.

...Just like the rest of us humans. ^_-

O nome da casa Evigheden percorria por toda a província, fosse por seus escândalos empurrados para baixo de um tapete empoeirado, ou por seus magníficos feitos que se sobressaiam aos defeitos. Darcelle crescera com a glória que seu sobrenome sustentava, e carregava consigo a responsabilidade de prosseguir com a magia que corria pelas veias de cada mulher em todas as gerações. Sua casa seguia tradições rígidas, onde mulheres eram prometidas a homens com um rei na barriga e uma sede de poder que se sobressaía ao código ético e moral; sua mãe, a Lady Lindsay, precisaria se tornar uma boa esposa para o marido no futuro, mesmo que aquele não fosse seu desejo.

Não crescera em um lar cujo amor prevalecia, ao contrário disso; por vezes, Darcelle não ouvia a voz de seu pai. Sua mãe, por outro lado, se preocupava em organizar tardes de chá com outras mulheres da nobreza apenas para compartilhar fofocas e enriquecer a tarde, onde apenas se permitiam fazer o que desejassem, enquanto a filha jamais escaparia de suas obrigações. Desde a tenra idade, participava de aulas de etiquetas. Manter uma boa postura, uma voz aveludada e palavras sempre muito bem selecionadas eram uma obrigação para qualquer garota nobre, sobretudo uma Evigheden.

Eram privilegiados, e ainda que fosse contra as regras impostas para herdar um legado que não gostaria, Darcelle jamais deixaria de se gabar dos feitos de sua casa. Vinha de uma geração de khajols cujo feito se resumia na criação de feitiços que curavam doenças e que se tornaram importantes para a magia que cursava o império, e ela não poderia se orgulhar mais. Gostava de deixar as desonras e maldições que cercavam os Evigheden para dentro da própria casa, seguro e intacto, sem manchas que pudessem desgraçar sua integridade, bem como de seus familiares.

Há muito tempo, a desgraça recaiu sobre a casa Evigheden. As gerações de khajols que se seguiram, sempre uma atrás da outra, eram um marco que gostavam de exibir. A magia percorria o ventre sagrado das mulheres, que conquistaram seu espaço pelo contato com o divino. Então, misteriosamente, um seon se apagou. Outro, e mais outro. O rompimento com o divino foi quebrado, causando uma tragédia que acreditavam jamais conseguir se recuperar. Não se sabe há quantas gerações essa maldição foi acometida, nem mesmo por quanto tempo haviam escondido este fato para preservar a honra familiar, mas uma coisa era certa: Darcelle tornou-se a salvação da família Evigheden quando, em um sonho que parecia real demais para ignorar, havia avistado a estátua da deusa Brigid.  

Se lhe perguntasse, ela não saberia dizer o que aquilo poderia significar. Era apenas uma estátua, um sonho curto demais para se atentar aos detalhes que passaram despercebidos. Não gostaria de ser esperançosa e carregar consigo também a maldição que passará a assombrar aquela família. Darcelle havia se tornado aquilo que esperavam dela; sempre muito bem-educada, com o conhecimento das artes, cultura e ciência. Mantinha uma postura graciosa e elegante, agindo sempre conforme a ética moral. Portanto, o medo assolava cada parte de seu corpo quando, ao receber a carta para Hexwood, também viera o medo de não possuir qualquer contato com uma divindade. Conseguia sentir, por mais que ignorasse, o peso sobre seus ombros.

Ao retornar do Superno e se atentar à nova realidade que lhe acometia, acreditava ser motivo de comemoração ao ser escolhida pela deusa Brigid. Portanto, havia finalmente compreendido o sonho que tivera há tanto tempo, quando apenas ansiava pelo momento para, enfim, compreender o próprio destino. Ele já estava traçado, e enquanto tinha um relacionamento conturbado com a própria família, ela passou a ser vista como uma joia preciosa que precisava ser cuidada e protegida. Seus familiares, sobretudo seus pais, temiam uma possível quebra de conexão entre ela e a divindade; e Darcelle torcia para que jamais chegasse a acontecer.

Astridr. Possui uma coloração alaranjada, que se torna mais forte ou mais fraca a depender de suas emoções. Geralmente, acompanham o humor de Darcelle, que por vezes tenta disfarçar o próprio descontentamento com algo pelo bem da própria postura. Entretanto, seu seon se torna mais agitado e com uma coloração tão intensa que chega a machucar os olhos, entregando seus próprios sentimentos.

Rachel Skarsten as Seraphina Minette Gage (nee Lestrange I) (1896-1913)

Short Background; Seraphina was born in 1896, to parents Corvus Lestrange IV and his fiance/distant cousin Désirée Heloise Lestrange who died in childbirth.

Seraphina was the first daughter among her other siblings [Leta Lestrange, Florence Scamander (nee Lestrange), Phoebus Corvus Lestrange, Corvus Lestrange V and Adorabella Clarisse Rosier (nee Lestrange)]

In 1913 she became a Gage after marrying her husband Cyrus Reynard Gage; the two went on to have twins Cressida [Salome] Lestrange I (nee Gage) and Aurelia Macmillan (nee Gage) in 1913 but tragically like her mother she passed away in childbirth.

In 1913 he was pushed to marry his 'girlfriend' Maeve Lestrange (nee Evigheden) after she had fallen pregnant with their only son Corvus Lestrange VI. Two years later Maeve passed away from Dragon Pox.

Phoebus had 2 illegitimate children with Belladonna "Bonnie" Oiyzs Gaunt the children being; Corvina Solasta Weasley (nee Gaunt) in 1913,Achlys Belladonna Gaunt in 1914.

He married Belladonna barely a year after his first wife's passing with Orien Corvus Gaunt being born in 1916, Calixtus Florent Lestrange in 1918, Vindicta Luella Lestrange in 1920, Cronus Marvolo Lestrange in 1929.

The SC Loser's Bracket Semi-Finals are upon us and Noir faces his biggest trial yet...! The King of Losers, Sir Uther! As you may know, I ended Apologies in a rush for health reasons... But I still have all the scripts for it along with a variety of odd writings and musings about various topics involving Noir and the AU.

...If Noir pulls through to win this round, I'll publish all of them here for everyone's enjoyment! Scripts and sketches for the original scrapped ending, half-written White-Haired Noir fanfics, early concepts that never got off the ground, the rest of the Nier-style A-Z endings, the follow-up to Evigheden, the unreleased Haircut from Hell sequels, the 'Let Them Know We're Happy' AU, various asks I couldn't get around to due to timing, Canon Noir-chan Yuri fluff, all of it!! (Plus I might write/draw some new stuff as a treat fufu? Another idea is to maybe record an audio "commentary track" for each mainline comic?!)

To clarify, I'm not holding regular content back for this! ^^; A hefty portion of this stuff is older art/ideas that I'm too embarrassed to share nowadays - under normal circumstances! But for this occasion, I would playfully throw away my pride and put it all out there...!!

Lastly, I don't want to encourage foul play. Bot voting is against the rules and has caused the participants + mods a lot of grief already. kinda ehhh on how they look but she's really butch, short black hair and a lot of ear piercings.

They're a retired villain!!! shes got a toxic gf named mira who broke up with them via trying to kill her and take over their criminal empire

they acquired said criminal empire when she killed the man who kidnapped them for her powers

said powers are others powers dont work on them :D

morality wise ehhh she's killed but only out of neccessity. they think of herself as really a worse person than she actually is because of said txic gf
