they acquired said criminal empire when she killed the man who kidnapped them for her powers

said powers are others powers dont work on them :D

morality wise ehhh she's killed but only out of neccessity. they think of herself as really a worse person than she actually is because of said txic gf

All four versions, based on @desultory-novice's Apologies AU. Despite that title, I'm really not giving Noir a break here, huh?

The intital drawing (bottom right) was an attempt to resemble the official Kirby art, specifically the way lining and shading is done on it. As for the other three... well, how could I not use the retro game setting on my digital art app, or color it like how the actual fight with dms is? And how could I not have it so the rainbow was still on the sword and hair?

Also sorry if the first panel is unclear. Adeleine isn't trying to clumsily remove the visor, she's reaching in to touch his face to let him know she's there, as Noir is blind and deaf in this particular form, outside of what information the petals take in and transmit to him. They can't recognize qualities of the voice, ie, that it is his beloved little sister, simply that "some" voice is talking to him. They are also what transmits his "voice" (more like a droll, ghosty monotone) outwards.

Anyway, I was revisiting some of my favorite fairy tales, including HC Andersen's "The Snow Queen" (where the title originates) when I realized just how well parts of that story fit Adeleine and Noir.

In seconds, I'd written up a fresh script and was drawing this. It's a little rushed/uneven because I pushed myself to finish as quick as possible so that this could be my official last art post before my surgery tomorrow, figuring it was a good note to leave things on.

Call it ~fairy tale magic~ (although I imagine this is set sometime AFTER the Dark Matter Trilogy rather than during. Perhaps after Zero's "favorite tool" was discovered to be broken beyond repair and with Zero itself destroyed, 02 and the rest of the Dark Matter cut him off from the hive and left him to starve to death in the ruins of Shiver Star, where Adeleine eventually discovers him after revisiting her journey with the others) ...but at least we've got x1 Noir saved now!

Because I know you folks care about lore, drone-type or unhatched Dark Matter "feed" off energy provided from the Hive Queen and they will burn in the light without their queen's protection.

Main game Shiver Star is actually MANY years removed from the Shiver Star Adeleine and Noir grew up on. (Adeleine fell through a dimensional rift halfway off planet and wound up on Popstar YEARS later than she left. It's a...complicated...story I'll tell later, while Noir has been Dark Matter for much longer than it seems) So, in addition to there being no more people there, there is significantly less of the kind of light that harms Dark Matter. (Is it, in fact, DUE to the lack of living creatures on the planet?? Dun-dun-dun?!)

Speaking of lore: "Wasn't there a literal parasite inside this version of Noir?? Like, an eyeball in his chest? Is that just gone now?"

Fufufu...

It is not GONE, for no one goes through life without some consequences. Though it was starved into hibernation and made further dormant by ~the healing power of love~ Noir does retain some piece of Dark Matter living inside him. A creature inside that grows stronger feeding off his negative emotions. 

He will simply have to learn to control it instead of giving in.

...Just like the rest of us humans. ^_-

Seu rosto e jeito meigos são apenas uma casca, uma faceta que utiliza para se infiltrar e conseguir o que quer. É extremamente solícita, afinal, precisa que a vejam com bons olhos novamente. Pode ser facilmente controlada por seus próprios pecados e sentimentos, os sentindo em escala maior do que os mortais normais. É manipuladora, dissimulada, não segue moral ou tem escrúpulos. Faz qualquer coisa para atingir seus objetivos, e faz isso enquanto mantém a pose de alguém gentil e compreensiva.

Como filha da Deusa da Discórdia, Narkissa tem profunda ligação a sentimentos considerados ruins ou disruptivos, principalmente os que tangem ao que conhecemos como os sete pecados capitais. Os Pecados Capitais têm como objetivo criar a discórdia e o caos, alterando a ordem do ambiente e as emoções de quem os sente. Desta forma, a filha de Éris consegue ter acesso aos piores vícios e pecados de pessoas ao seu redor, não somente os sentindo como conseguindo ampliar o pior pecado que encontrar no indivíduo, em uma escala que o faça esquecer completamente de tudo ao redor para realizar o pecado a que foi induzido, enlouquecendo a mente acessada, caso não seja interrompida. Em locais tomados por discórdia, seu poder pode resultar na morte imediata ou insanidade praticamente irreparável da vítima. Em contrapartida, também é afetada por seus próprios pecados, os sentindo em escala maior do que o restante.

Meet Canary, a seeming combination of a man, a bird, and a deer. This is an older picture, and is not my new art style, but I wish to share as his future family is what to come of this blog.

For all who are interested, below is his story

His life started in one of the worst of ways, abandoned before he even hatched and then found and raised by an evil emperor, trained to follow his every order without question. One faithful day, he was sent on a quest to find and "aid" one of the saviors of the realm, a woman from the human world of "Earth" who was destined to rid Evigheden, his home, of the disastrous plague. He, obeying the word of his master, the bringer of this very plague, and joined the journey. Through long stretches over the vast terrain, to the destruction of a seeming immortal being by his own fur-covered hands, he was faced with the hardest decision of his life; save his master by killing his savior... or refuse his orders and witness the defeat of this plague bringer.

While one would think, "Always go with the right thing and protect the one that saved you," Canary never made his choice. Venini, the one he called his master, orders him to attack Aurora, his first and only friend, and stop the prophecy from coming true. His mind split in two at facing both that he viewed his masters, so he froze. In the midst of a battle, the most important decision he would ever make in his life, he just froze. His hesitation resulted in the ultimate demise of this shadow King, which then resulted in the return of the true king and queen of Evingheden. It was later revieled by the royals that the very Aurora and her twin sister, Annika, were the princesses of this world.

After these long months and the final destruction of the plague, Canary finds himself as a follower of Aurora. He is not held prisoner for his treachery, nor is he forced to work, yet he still wishes to follow every word of his dear Aurora, and he vows to follow her until his final breath.

As you may know, I ended Apologies in a rush for health reasons... But I still have all the scripts for it along with a variety of odd writings and musings about various topics involving Noir and the AU.

...If Noir pulls through to win this round, I'll publish all of them here for everyone's enjoyment! Scripts and sketches for the original scrapped ending, half-written White-Haired Noir fanfics, early concepts that never got off the ground, the rest of the Nier-style A-Z endings, the follow-up to Evigheden, the unreleased Haircut from Hell sequels, the 'Let Them Know We're Happy' AU, various asks I couldn't get around to due to timing, Canon Noir-chan Yuri fluff, all of it!! (Plus I might write/draw some new stuff as a treat fufu? Another idea is to maybe record an audio "commentary track" for each mainline comic?!)

To clarify, I'm not holding regular content back for this! ^^; A hefty portion of this stuff is older art/ideas that I'm too embarrassed to share nowadays - under normal circumstances! But for this occasion, I would playfully throw away my pride and put it all out there...!!

Tag game: A meme

1. Are you named after anyone?

A former Italian female singer. And no, I can actually not sing as good as her 😅✌🏼.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I honestly can't really remember. It's been a while. But it was while listening to a very dear song to me ("Evigheden" by Scala & Kolacny Brothers) and that song always and again tends to make me cry when my thoughts drift away to the people and companion that are not with me anymore.

3. Do you have kids?

Nope and probably never will have any. Which is totally fine with me.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Sometimes, but not that often.

5. What sports do you play/have you played?

As a child and teenager I played handball, soccer and tennis. Then life happened and I had ro stop. Right now I'm taking any chance possible to grab my mountainbike and to some tours to take me out into nature.

6. What's the first thing you notice about other people?

I'm not very good at meeting people and noticing things about them since I am myself pretty shy and tend to try to not hold eye contact for too long because I'm so unsure myself.

Grey-blue.

Puh, I can't think of anything really fancy. But I'm very passionate about certain things (music artist, fandoms) if that counts.
