pairing: max verstappen x manager! reader.
summary: as the third time world champion, max verstappen's manager, you function on the belief that whatever max verstappen wanted, max verstappen shall get. but this time, after four years of working as his manager, you can't give him what he wants anymore and that was to stay.
author's note: guess who's not listening in her calculus lecture rn. also, wifi is acting funny rn.

masterlist.
2020
There have been a lot of new protocols to follow. Social distancing. Wearing face masks. Races being rescheduled. Australia, China, Netherlands, Monaco, Azerbaijan, Canada, and France are canceled. Vietnam is postponed. The first race of the season takes place in the Red Bull Ring in Austria and Max gets a fucking DNF.
After exchanging Instagram accounts in December, Max has spent a normal amount of time stalking your feed. That's what you do when you’re trapped inside your apartment alone because of a global health crisis, you explore the online world.
It seems like you’ve been operating the account since your university days and a lot of your posts show a side of you that’s different from the manager he knows. He learns that you play billiards competitively. You've even reached an Australian tournament. He learns that you watch NASCAR and motocross and drift racing. He learns that you know how to drive a firetruck. He learns that you like partying in LA and you took up volunteer work in the LA fire brigade around your sophomore year. He learns that you’re particularly fond of taking pictures of the skies at different times of the day and the things you’re studying. He notices that you only post group selfies or low angle blurry selfies of you. You don't take pretty pictures of just you.
The oldest post is a photo of you offering a middle finger while smiling and filling up the gas tank of a truck. You're also wearing a red sweatshirt with the letters USC written at the front and skinny ripped jeans. If you swipe right, the next photo shows a picture of you and your group of friends writing on papers on the hood of the truck. Max sees numbers and scratches and crossed out sketches. Max notices a canned beer on your other hand while you press down on your scientific calculator buttons and shakes his head. You do not change.
The latest post is a photo dump of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2019. A picture of the aerial show, grainy zoomed in pictures of the garage, selfies with the mechanics, a bathroom mirror selfie, and a blurry picture of a beer in your hand from the after party. He presses like in every post, latest to the oldest.
you: fucking stalker
max: fuck you
max: *sent a photo*
max: nice teeth by the way
you: i hate you
you: *sent a photo*
you: ya think im the only one who looks ugly with braces?
Since then, Max’s relationship with you has considerably improved. The two of you spend a lot of nights dm-ing each other on Instagram and sending each other reels.
max: SOS
you: ??
max: I THINK THE STOVE IS ON FIRE
you: the stove is supposed to have fire
max: ITS ON FIRE
You and Max sit on the floor, back against the kitchen counter, chest heaving in quick breaths, shoulders bumping against each other. You hold the fire extinguisher close to your chest and your eyes are closed and your lips are parted a little. Max observes your side profile.
You're not a categorically attractive woman. But with the way the sun rays enter Max’s kitchen window and hit your face at all the right angles, you look like someone worth missing a sunset over. Max allows himself to stare and mentally tries to convince himself that this is a very normal amount of staring at one’s manager slash friend.
He’s crossing the line that divides friendship and something unnamed.
“Do you need me to call maintenance so we can get your stove replaced?”
Max nods.
“Yes please.”
You post a new picture on Instagram after a long period of dryness. Max gets a notification. He checks it out.
The caption reads: meet my full time dog and part time boyfriend
The picture is blurry and grainy but Max can make out your face perfectly. There’s a billiard table. Max sees a person in the background. A man. He's wearing a Williams shirt.
Is that a racer? Max immediately thinks of Nicholas Latifi. You and him are around the same age. But the blurry man in the picture doesn't look like Nicholas. The hair color and the build is different. George, maybe? He’s a year younger than Max. Do you prefer your men younger? Scratch that. That’s impossible. Max knows he has a girlfriend named Carmel or Carmen or something.
max: you have a boyfriend
you: youre fast
max: when did this happen?
you: uh
you: earlier?
Max resists the urge to hurl his phone across the room.
max: details [name]
max: i need details
you: nuh uh kid you havent unlocked that level of friendship yet
you: that's friendship level 8 ur still on level 6
max: i will hunt you down and force you to tell me
max: and don't call me kid i'm one year younger than you
you: id like to see you try
max: i think u forgot im the one who gave you the apartment where u live rn
You introduce Leo to Max a month later.
Leo is a British brunette guy with a face that one would consider mid in Europe but a ten in the US. He is one of the Williams mechanics. You mention that he used to do karting as a kid and even went up to F3 but he’s decided to discontinue his racing career because he thinks engineering and the technical aspects of a formula car is far more interesting than racing.
He’s basically the complete opposite of Max.
He’s a good guy, Max can tell. He’s well-mannered, he’s calm, he knows how to treat you right. Above all else, he makes you the happiest. You have the most genuine and beautiful smile on your face when he comes into your view.
He also handles your relationship very maturely. He doesn't demand. He understands that you work for different racing teams with different jobs and that means different priorities.
The weekly IG posts are also too cute. It looks like it came out of a Pinterest board.
Max will never tell you that he spends a good hour every time you post something with Leo in it like an obsessive freak. He tries to make sense of the feeling in his chest. Something green. Something ugly. Something he can't name.
Max should be happy that you found a guy as great as Leo. But he cannot, for the life of him, be fully happy for you. He doesn't know why.
“PR told me that you received a dinner invite from Kelly Piquet,” you state, sitting down on the empty chair across from him and putting your packed lunch on the table. You carefully lay the folded clothes on the other chair. Max deduces they will be the ones he’ll be wearing for the interview scheduled in about two hours. You already sent him the list of questions in his email but he hasn't opened them yet.
“Yeah,” Max says after swallowing. “She’s been sending invites since two months ago.”
“And you left her on seen?”
Max scoffs, “I didn't leave her on seen. I just…well, I saw them late and declined them politely.”
He knows Kelly Piquet. He’s aware of the history she shared with former Red Bull Racing now Toro Rosso driver, Daniil Kvyat. Max also knows she’s the daughter of Nelson Piquet, retired Formula One champion. He thinks it's rude to take the guy’s ex-girlfriend after he’s taken his seat in Red Bull.
“She’s interested in you,” you claim, opening the tupperware and quickly saying grace before digging in.
Max is not good with dealing with women. Twenty-three years old and he’s still girlfriend-less. But he knows how to recognize people who are interested in him. A significant number of women have tried their chances with him since he began racing professionally and he may have used you as some sort of getaway driver to get him out of all the awkward situations where he has to deal with women who are interested in him.
You have a very scary resting bitch face if you try hard enough. Its efficiency in scaring off people is proven to be, well, efficient.
“Yeah, I suppose.”
“Are you interested in her?” you question.
Max thinks about it. Really thinks about it.
“Do you think it’ll be good if I get a girlfriend?” he throws you a question instead of an answer.
“You're twenty-three, man. It's about time you start doin’ somethin’ about your empty dating history.”
Max nose scrunches but doesn't say anything because it's the truth. His dating history is hilariously empty.
“What’s your opinion of Kelly?”
“Uh, cool pussy, I guess. Don't really care.”
Max rolls his eyes, “You’re so crude.”
You shrug uncaringly.
“But I don't mind who you wanna date, man. I mean, it's your life. Date who you wanna date. Live the life you wanna live. All the jazz and shedazzle.”
Max accepts the dinner invite.
The 2020 season ends with Hamilton standing at the top, officially becoming a seven-time world champion. Bottas is behind him. Verstappen, like 2019, still stands in third place. Max vows 2020 will be the last year Hamilton becomes a world champion. The team doesn't hold a big afterparty like it usually does and Max flies home to Monaco immediately.
It's been months since he's started seeing Kelly and the woman is pleasant company. Her daughter, Penelope, is the most adorable human being that ever stepped on Earth. Max loves the little bean with all his heart and he himself is surprised that he’s capable of loving a little human this much. He’s practically convinced that he’ll be a shitty father one day. He does not have a good model figure to look up to when it comes to fatherhood.
Little P, Max learns, is obsessed with crocheted things. Max sees her little bags and little hats—all crocheted. Kelly says she pays their housekeeper to make things for little Penelope because she likes them so much.
Max decides he wants to learn how to crochet. He buys the material and learns through hundreds of Youtube videos. His first masterpiece is a bag. It's white and light orange. He shows it to his mum, who questions how on Earth did her son take an interest in a hobby other than racing or anything car-related. Despite that, she compliments it and Max feels confident that you’ll like it, too, now that he’s gotten his mother’s approval.
He finishes making it by the eighteenth day of December and he calls you, hoping he has the chance to give it before you fly down to Texas for the off-season. But you already left Monaco, just the day before and are now spending the first few weeks of the break in New Zealand with Leo.
“So it's serious?” Max asks you over the phone. He stares at the dark sky in Belgium. There's no stars tonight. Only the moon and it’s looking down at him like it's mocking him. Max wonders what the sky looks like in New Zealand right now.
“Of course,” you say.
“Well then, enjoy the holidays.”
“You, too, man.”
The call ends.
2021
Max sees you enter the Red Bull hospitality. The first thing he notices is that your shoes are brand new. Same model—the black and gold YSL Opyum heels, yes he knows the name because he searched it on Google—but brand new. Your bag is also brand new and it’s not the old cream-colored tote bag with peach prints. It's a cream-colored tote bag with Van Gogh’s painting—the Starry Night—printed at the front. You show it to Max excitedly and tell him that it's from Leo, the bag and the shoes, and Max fakes a smile the whole time. When he returns to his room in the evening, he throws the crochet bag he made over December in the trash bin. Kelly sees it but she doesn't question it.
“PR suggests that you film a Tiktok.”
Max groans, throwing his head back and rolling his eyes to the back of his head.
“Tell them no.”
“Come on, it’ll be fun,” you encourage him, shaking his shoulders. “There's a lot of dance trends right now.”
“I said no, [Name].”
“Max.”
You throw your hands on your waist, looking at him pointedly with your lips pursed. Max returns the stare.
He gives up after five seconds.
“Fine.”
You huff in triumph.
“But you’re doing it with me,” Max bargains.
“Oh come on,” you throw your hands in the air.
“Now you know how it feels. Tell PR that I’m not going to film a Tiktok unless you film it with me,” Max smiles cheekily.
You're not going to film a Tiktok video with him. He knows you hate filming yourself and posting it for the public. There's a reason why you avoided cameras as if it’s the sun and you're a vampire and had all your social media accounts in private.
You pull an unexpected move and you nod your head.
“Fine.”
Max’s smile drops.
You film a Tiktok using Red Bull Racing’s official Tiktok account. A simple dance. Max does not know the title. The steps are simple and it's easy to memorize. He believes he can do this fairly easily. You don't look like you’re having fun while memorizing the dance steps but you're not overly struggling.
You film the video in three takes. When Max sees the final outcome, he cringes. His long limbs look awkward as he performs the steps despite thinking that he’s doing fine while filming it. You, on the other hand, look fine.
You look good while dancing actually. There’s a certain grace that accompanied your movements.
“You dance good,” Max comments.
“It’s the Latina in me,” you claim, raising your chin a little.
Max snorts.
You show the draft video to the PR team. Without hesitation, they scratched it.
“Why?” Max asks, brows furrowing.
“Apparently, they're too tired releasing statements that we’re not dating. They're afraid that the Tiktok video would bring back our dating rumors,” you roll your eyes. “They’ve decided to just make you do a Tiktok filter game.”
Max does the one filter where he has to solve the simple math equations projected on the screen. He has to tilt his head to the side where the right answer is placed and he needs to do it quickly.
Max is not bad at Mathematics. He’s not good at it either. He’ll say that he’s just average at it like every human being on Earth.
You sit beside him, barking him the answers before his brain can even process and perform the required operations.
“60 points. That's not good enough,” he says.
You nod, “Damn right. You're not tilting your head to the right answer fast enough.”
“Maybe you're not giving the answers quick enough.”
The video gets more than ten takes. The two of you don't stop until you get the perfect score.
Monza is a disaster. To summarize: the 53-lap race is won by Daniel Ricciardo, who has now moved to McLaren. He capitalizes on a good front-row start and the crash between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton to take the race lead. Lando, Daniel’s teammate comes in second with Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas in third. Max and Lewis—DNF.
Max doesn't remember the last time he’s been that angry and the anger doubles when he sees the seven-time world champion celebrate on the tracks. Max then decides that he’s going to be more risky, especially now that he knows how safe the car is. Max is willing to risk his life for number one.
Max lies in the medical bay and he hears voices outside. Too many voices. He’ll appreciate it greatly if the voices disappear. He's too angry right now that the noise of the outside world is too much.
“Max?”
The voices disappear and it's only you he can see, he can hear, he can feel. You're everything.
You said it. His name. It sounds even better than he imagined.
“[Name].”
After making sure he’s okay, you tell Max that you wish to go to Danny and congratulate him for winning. Max grabs your hand, unwilling to let go.
“You're not his manager anymore,” Max reminds you. “You're mine.”
He’s very much aware that he sounds like a child who refuses to let his older brother borrow his favorite toy but he cannot find himself to care. Screw Daniel.
You give him a long look but follows his demands anyway, “We’re gonna congratulate him later whether you like it or not. He’s our friend and he just got P1. We’re gonna be happy for him 'cuz that's what friends do. I’ll drag your ass to his hotel room if I have to.”
Jos Verstappen is not happy. When has he ever been happy with Max anyway? He calls Max after the Monza race and proceeds to yell because that’s all he ever does with Max. He yells. Max is embarrassed that he’s twenty-three and he’s still getting yelled at by his own father.
“Your Dad’s an asshole,” you stated after he ends the call. Max knows you heard his father’s voice even though he has not put the call on loudspeaker.
“Don't talk to my Dad like that,” he reprimands, though not unkindly. “But yeah, he is.”
You snort, “You okay?”
Max lets out a shaky breath, nodding weakly.
"Yeah, I'm fine. You would think that after all this time I would get used to it but I don't know. It still makes me feel so uncomfortable and like I'm doing everything wrong even though I've been doing that for such a long time now and I've achieved so many things he asked for."
Your gaze softens and Max mentally begs that you stop looking at him like that. He does not want your pity. Pity is for the weak. Max is not weak.
You open your arms, “Rein it in, big guy.”
“What are you doing?”
“You need a hug.”
Max hesitates but he invites himself to your arms anyway. He allows himself to melt. In your arms, he feels like he's home and that he's good enough.
The breakup happens two race weekends later. Max is not dumb nor is he so emotionally indifferent that he cannot sense if a person is going through a breakup especially if that person is someone so close to him. He already knows there’s something wrong and he knows exactly what’s wrong and yet he still asks, “What's wrong?”
“Nothin’,” you say a little too quickly as if you already know that Max is going to ask the question.
“[Name],” his fingers circle around your wrist. “It's not nothing. Your eyes are red. Have you been crying?”
He wants you to open up. He wants you to say something. He wants you to share the heartache you carry so it won't feel heavy on your shoulders. He wants to be someone who’ll carry your problems with you when the world feels too big and you too small.
You sigh shakily, forcing a polite smile. Your hand comes up to squish Max’s cheek in between your palms and Max’s brows rise slightly at the action. Your hands feel cold and they’re trembling slightly and Max wants to point it out, but he sees how your lips wobble and his mind just blanks, “It's not important. You only have one thing to think about and that is to win. You hear me?”
Max considers marching to the Williams Racing livery and demanding for Leo Stark but he chooses not to. You won't want him to, anyway.
Max never realizes how horrifying blood is until he sees it dripping down the side of your head. He watches as your face changes from shock to realization to absolute anger. It’s like watching you transform from human to a rabid animal who wants to shed blood. At first, he tries to pull you away and calm you down. When he sees the girl’s boyfriend appear, Max joins the fight. No man is allowed to hit you. Not on his watch.
The higher-ups are not the happiest when they learn of what happened. The PR team is having a field day as well. Someone captured the event in video and posted it online. Max has been given a script for the video he’ll have to do to save his image but it’s written differently. Different in a way that the way the words are arranged feels odd to him unlike the way you write your scripts for Max. You write the scripts as if Max is the one who writes them. You write the script in a way Max will write them. Because you know him enough to know what kind of words he wants to use and how he’ll phrase things. You choose words that are easy on his tongue and you structure the sentences so that he can memorize them easily.
Helmut is the one who says, “She should leave the team.”
“If you fire her, I’m leaving,” Max decides.
Christian narrows his eyes at him, “You won't dare.”
“Try me,” he challenges. “I am willing to pay millions to leave if she leaves.”
The other teams want him, Max knows. They know he’s rising to stardom, a racer who can stand equal to Lewis Hamilton in the right time. Red Bull is too afraid of spitting out their star now. Not when Max is already giving Lewis Hamilton a big run for his money this year. Not when Max just showed the world that he’s capable of more than just being third place.
The wretched Hamilton fan decides to sue and Max calls upon his mother’s help to find the best lawyers to fight for you. Sophie willingly helps him.
Max is going to protect you, like you always do to him.

⛓️ When art and life become one ⛓️
I believe fairy tales have a great deal of therapeutic power. And there's nothing quite like a good story.
As I’ve written here a few times before, I first started watching Outlander in 2020 – a challenging year for us all. At that time, we all needed a good story to take our minds off reality. And to move into the catharsis that art offers. You can imagine my excitement when I realised that two actors (who were so obviously in love) playing the characters in the story were born around the same time as the characters they were playing.
James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser, born on 1 May. Sam Roland Heughan, born on 30 April. Both Taurus, just like me. Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser, born on 20 October. Caitríona Mary Balfe, born on 4 October. Both Libra.
And, as you might expect, in both the play and real life, she is older than he is. Isn't it wonderful how things just fall into place sometimes? There’s always something to ponder, think about and enjoy.
But it's been a while since we've seen joy in "enjoy." The Taylor Swift concert is the exception that proves the rule, here.
I'm getting tired of the low-level storytelling we've been presented with for a while now. This story is the worst of the worst. It’s a pretty poor selection of C, D, and E cinema.
And it's pretty sad how two people, who literally built their relative public recognisability on being the 'hottest couple on the screen', are now pathetically role-playing their supposed 'real love lives'. And neither of them succeeds. They're also pretty weak actors in their roles of romantic lovers (I'm thinking mainly of Sam here). Let me just say that they're not pathetic only when they're together. *** *** *** When I saw the blurry, embarrassing footage from this weekend's Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic (tagged #ad on Sam's Instagram), my first thought was that it was a spectacle for us, our Tumblr fandom. There's no one else who would be interested in something you have to look for with a magnifying glass, zooming in, spending long minutes stopping frames of film. Then I got reminded about the Wimbledon Tennis Championships back in July 2019 and another poor performances by 'bride' and her 'groom' a month before their 'wedding'.
Do you remember those pictures?
First wife, second wife, Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser and Laoghaire MacKenzie, I mean, Evie Greenwood, a primary teacher.
You know, realism and art all blend together.
We first saw this kind of kissing being reduced to sucking on the partner's upper lip in what we were forced to think was Sam’s ‘real life’, and then we saw the same thing on screen.
And what about Sam's somewhat embarrassing performance in The Couple Next Door? Which other actor in that film has exposed themselves so much (and so pointlessly), in a literal sense?
How many of us thought Sam's performance in the erotic scenes in TCND was not sexy at all, but disgusting?
I did.
Wasn't that display of Sam's rhythmically moving buttocks as distasteful as his other performance a few weeks ago?
Seriously, I would never want my husband/partner/father of my children to behave like this. There's no money worth it. But maybe there is.
Sometimes I feel sorry for them, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I remind myself of how jealous Cait can be.
How on earth do they manage to live like that?

Hi ! Can we have headcanon about Carlos and Michaela's relationship ? Thank you so much ♡♡♡
NOW PLAYING: michaela & carlos headcanons. ✼. view:⠀masterlist⠀⸻⠀join the taglist⠀⸻⠀request.
ironically it took a while for them to speak to each other after michaela's first race in 2019
on michaela's end, she was partially intimidated by the spaniard with a hidden temper and luxurious hair
as for carlos, he just wasn't interested in speaking to the rookie with a constant storm of media, expectation, and scrutiny surrounding her at every waking moment
between awkward nods in the media pen and the weird back-and-forth following and unfollowing on instagram, any hope for true interaction was very limited
those hopes were destroyed altogether after michaela went wide on a turn, taking carlos with her, during the 2021 canadian grand prix
despite carlos immediately jumping out of his car to charge after michaela (and her literally shaking in fear at the sight of him) this was the start of a beautiful friendship
endless talking, somehow never run out of stuff to say
mess mess mess
the two dumb bitches telling each other "exactly"
constantly gossiping about the drama on the grid
can and will tell each other about someone else's business and add a quick little "but who am i to judge" at the end as if it changes the fact that they are absolutely judging
each other's biggest bullies, with love <3
carlos sr and reyes ADORE michaela, she's practically an honorary sainz at this point
very much padel in the spring, yachting in the summer, and pretending not to know each other on race weekends (they cannot maintain their friendship while also being competitors)
so dramatic
soft launched their FRIENDSHIP over the course of two years before hard launching at blanca's wedding
shocked everyone except lando who has always been painfully aware of how much michaela prefers carlos to him
fernando thought they were dating for an uncomfortably long time before michaela publicly shut that rumor down by violently gagging into her microphone (carlos thought that was hilarious)
carlos is unsuccessfully teaching michaela spanish and is somehow shocked she picked up all the ways to cuss him out and not anything else of necessity
once helped her dye her hair the day before qualifying in monaco
needless to say, it was tucked underneath her cap the entire weekend

Bengiyo's Queer Cinema Syllabus
For those of you who don’t know, I decided to run the gauntlet of @bengiyo’s queer cinema syllabus, which is comprised of 9 units. I have completed four of the units (here is my queer cinema syllabus round up post with all the films I’ve watched and written about so far). It is time for me to make my way through Unit 5- Lesbians, which includes the following films: The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995), Bound (1996), Water Lilies (2007), Saving Face (2004), D.E.B.S. (2004), Set It Off (1996), The Handmaiden (2016), Carol (2015), Imagine Me and You (2005), Two of Us (2019), Rafiki (2018), and The Color Purple (1985).
Today I will be talking about
The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995) dir. Maria Maggenti
[Runtime: 1:34 , Watched on: Netflix, Language: English]
Summary: Randy cuts class to run her aunt’s gas station. Evie’s the popular girl at school. When the two meet, they discover love, trouble- and themselves.
Cast: - Laurel Holloman as Randy Dean - Nicole Ari Parker as Evie Roy
__
Well, the Lesbians unit is already off to a great start with this film. Watching this movie was oh so very much fun and I am very happy that we were getting movies with this many sapphics in it, it’s a rare treat, at least on my end.
It was a very interesting piece of media to start with after Heartbreak Alley because nothing too terrible happens in the movie itself, but the film is not a bubble type of film where homophobia and the consequences of being queer don’t exist. Randy and her family were especially impacted by it, we are just tuning in to a time in their life where they’ve come out the other end of the truly terrible life moments.
So when Evie shows up, wealthy, sheltered (at least from the consequences of being queer), and initially unaware of her own sexuality we get to see all the ways in which Evie can be brave because she doesn’t know any better and Randy can be brave because she does know what can happen and tries anyway. It’s taking me back through the Race, Class, and Disability unit a little bit in the way the movie shows all the freedoms and restraints that come with Evie and Randy’s respective positionalities in the world.
Evie isn’t scared of holding Randy’s hand at the diner because she doesn’t believe that someone would beat them up for it. Randy has just gotten over the initial fear of holding hands with a girl she likes in public when the waitress comes over and interrupts the moment and Evie has to be the one to make the second attempt at holding hands in public at the diner.
I love the little nods towards that line, the way that Randy wears her Act Up shirts to school and people are able to clock her, but she still tells Evie that she was seeing a married woman, and Randy sees that as coming out to someone (which it is) and Randy tells her aunts that she came out to someone at school and is congratulated for it because you never really stop coming out and it can be a big deal or a small one every single time.
Randy’s only friend is Frank, another queer kid at school, and Evie’s got three friends we see her with most of the time who are all straight women generally uncomfortable with Randy as a person and especially grossed out by the thought of Evie and Randy hanging out, much less dating/being in love with each other. I was definitely worried initially when Evie’s friends started talking about Randy that she would get quiet, or relent, or play along with her friend group. I have to say that was probably one of my most favorite parts of the film, that Evie didn’t do that. Evie spoke up against her friends, she defended Randy time and time again, and maybe it’s the sheltered aspects of her life that allow her to just come right out and tell her friends, after they were already being so homophobic, that she was in love with Randy and they could simply stop being friends with her if they had a problem with that.
And in fact, Evie’s friends do walk away, and Evie is left alone in a diner because she told her friends she loved a woman. And she’s allowed to be upset about that, and Randy is also allowed to be like “yeah, I could have told you that” about it because, again, she knows all that there is to lose by being out and clockable.
You can see it in the way she handles conflict, that Ari presses her against the wall, and grabs her by the scruff of her shirt, and threatens to kill her for seeing his wife, and while it is hilarious that Regina is just standing there unfazed, hitting him with a fly swatter until he lets go, Randy just standing there with her neck red from being assaulted, holds popsicles to her neck and immediately lies to Evie about what she just experienced. In fact, if I recall correctly, Randy never once breathes a word of that encounter to Evie, even though they are a couple, and Evie cares about Randy. But why would you tell the freshly minted queer you were preoccupied with being threatened for your entanglement with another man’s wife?
There were lots of little things that I loved about this movie, especially as they related to the home. That Evie is there in a big house, with just her mother, refusing to talk about her feelings around her father in a relatively silent house cutting straight to the cramped, overcrowded kitchen with four lesbians wriggling around each other trying to get dinner on the table. I love the camera work around Lena when the camera pans slowly down her entire body, when the only thing in frame is essentially just Lena’s tits bouncing around as she does boxing moves. And my absolute favorite, the tops of heads we see passing back and forth and back and forth while Randy and Evie stand perfectly still, holding hands, and talking to Randy’s family the first time that Evie meets them.
gif by @roseillith
I love that they let Randy’s aunts argue about a very present concern (their differing feelings about having Lena in their house) and that that argument is not the be-all-end-all of their relationship. I love that Randy’s biggest issue is not that she is queer, but that she likely will not be able to graduate highschool. I love that Evie’s biggest issue is also not that she is queer, she does not struggle at all with her queer awakening, and that the biggest problem her mother seems to be having is that she left the house a mess when unsupervised for a few days. Which is not to say that her mother will not struggle with the sexuality aspect of it, but that I don’t get a sense that Evie will be kicked out of the house or need to flee it the way that Randy absolutely did when she came to live with her aunt.
Their issues feel very high school, and their romance, and all the drama around it feels very high school, and I think the movie did a good job conveying the messy, shitty, dramatic bullshit we put our families through as teenagers.
Favorite Moment
My absolute favorite moment, hands down, by miles in the film is the fight between Randy’s aunts. And this may end up resulting in essentially two favorite quotes being put down in this post, but I just have to talk about the conversation that Rebecca and Vicky have over an ex-girlfriend that has been staying with them after breaking up with her boyfriend.
I love that this fight has a number of layers to it: one, that Lena is an ex-girlfriend of one part of the lesbian couple and that can definitely wear down some patience from the current partner; two, that they are raising a child that isn’t their own and are adding an additional stressor on top; three, that they do not have the money to really swing another long-term guest; and four, the difference in their life history as queer people is majorly informing the perception of how this is going.
We don’t have only messy lesbians, we have a long-term, established relationship between two people who are doing the thing where they make continuous and active choices to stay together and are talking about the things that are causing tension in their household to try to reach some level of compromise. They are allowed to fight without me having to worry that they are going to try to throw some break up between the adults in Randy’s life into the mix.
This film came out before gay marriage was legal in the United States, but I love that we can understand the depth of the commitment Rebecca and Vicky made to one another, in whatever version of a partnership they have created for themselves with one of the most incredible lines of the film:
Rebecca: “I made a vow that my house would always be open to the people I love. You and I both took that vow when we moved in together. I needed it when I was young. Randy needed it when she moved in with us. Even you needed that once.” Vicky: “No I didn’t.” Rebecca: “No, I guess you didn’t.”
I love the quote because it does speak to the queer experience, my housemate and I are both queer, and we have tried our hardest to make sure that our other queer friends know that our door is open if they need it. We know Randy has been disowned by her mother, we know her aunt must have been raised in some level of similar environment, and it is understandable from Rebecca’s point of view that she and Vicky remain a support and safe haven for wayward queers forever. And how that viewpoint builds on Vicky’s problems with Lena staying with them instead of Lena going home to her mother to get over the break-up. Because if Vicky never had the experiences that Rebecca and Randy had of having nowhere else to go, then I can totally see how it might be harder for her to understand why Lena is staying with them and has been staying for so long.
And I like that Lena is still there at the end of the movie, which indicates to me that Rebecca won that argument and Vicky is at least continuing to tolerate the newest addition to their little queer family.
Favorite Quote
“I don’t want to shock you or anything but I really wanna hold your hand right now. I’ve wanted to hold your hand all day.” // “I’ve held hands with a girl before.” // “Girls like me?” // “I guess not. But what could happen?” // “We’d get the shit beat out of us, that’s all.” // “Just for holding hands? I don’t believe that.” // “God Evie, you are so sheltered.” // “Unshelter me.”
I like that Evie can be brave in this moment expressly because she does not understand what she is putting on the line by being queer in public. But she is turning 18 soon, and she is heading off to college, and she cannot be protected forever, especially not if she wants to be herself, and if she understands her queerness and wants that to be an active part of her life that she doesn’t have to hide, she will learn eventually. And she does, she tells her friends if they have a problem with her being in love with Randy that they can leave. And they do. And if you ask me there is a part of Evie that is saying that only because she doesn’t think they actually will, and that she is surprised when they actually do get up and go. But she pays the price and she is sad about it, but not remorseful. Never remorseful about being open with the people that she cares about and losing them as a result.
Score
8/10. I was not a huge fan of the acting in a lot of this, and the script was not the strongest. But there were some really great moments that felt so true to form and I am endlessly glad that this film exists.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to stay?” Jihyo was pressing her elbow into the center console as she spoke out of the passenger window. She squinted her eyes at Anna when the girl didn’t respond, waiting for an answer from her, “I’ll sit at another table and if he tries anything I’ll jump him. I’m serious.”
Anna was quick to shake her head, pulling the strap of her purse up higher on her shoulder, “Nono please don’t do that. I’ll be okay, we’re just meeting this time so I can properly apologize.” Her eyes seemed to drift away as she rushed out the words, Jihyo’s curious eyes seeming like they were burning a hole into her. The incident backstage played on a continuous, haunting loop in her head, like a bug that won’t leave you alone, and she hasn’t stopped feeling bad ever since.
“Hey, call me when you’re done and I’ll come get you,” Jihyo pouted in defeat, making sure she had Anna’s attention before putting the car in drive and smiling at her, waving out the window as she pulled away.
Anna swallowed thickly as she watched the car drive down the street, tucking a fallen lock of hair back behind her ear. Part of her wished she said yes for Jihyo to stay. At least it would’ve killed a little of the awkwardness that was for sure going to happen. But she was a big girl and could do this herself. She took a deep breath in as she turned on her heels, pulling the door to the small café open.
A faint blush dusted her cheeks when she did a quick scan of the room, eyes falling directly onto the man she had come to see. He was sitting in the back corner of the room, elbow pressed firmly on the table as he scrolled through his phone. She nibbled on the inside of her cheek as she held onto the strap of her purse and let her feet guide her over to his table.
“Oh, Youngmi!” Joshua snapped his eyes over to her as she approached the table, shutting his phone off and standing up from the chair to greet her properly.
“Hi there,” She smiled at him and internally cringed at the awkward wave of her hand, “I hope I’m not late. I-I got a little lost along the way and I just-.”
“Huh? Lost?”
She pinched her eyebrows together in confusion as she swallowed down the lump quickly building in the back of her throat again, shuffling her feet from side to side.
“I-uh was meeting Hoshi here but I don’t know where he is. He was supposed to be here by now,” Joshua rubbed at the back of his neck as the tips of his ears pricked with redness.
“You’re meeting Hoshi here? He texted me and said yesterday that you had wanted to meet me here today?”
She was just as confused as he was. She pulled out her phone and brought up the text message sent to her last night to confirm for herself that she wasn’t going crazy before turning her phone towards Joshua.
His eyes scanned over the messages between the two, his lips forming a frown as he tapped on his own phone to see the illuminated twelve o’clock displayed across his lockscreen.
“That little-,” He let out a sigh, closing his eyes briefly before his face softened and grinned at her, “I’m assuming this is our lunch meeting.”
“I guess it is,” The awkwardness seemed to fizzle out as she smiled and nodded her head, tucking her phone away and loosening the grip she had on her bag strap. She reached her hand out to pull out the back of the chair but was stopped almost instantly by a much larger hand grazing hers.
“Wait, let me get that for you,” He was quick to move around the table, gripping the metal rung and scooting the chair backwards. Anna’s cheeks redden at his actions, thanking him quickly before shouldering off her purse and sitting down into the chair, hanging her purse off of the empty seat beside her.
“This place is actually really nice.” She looked around the café with bright eyes. It was a little on the rustic side, shades of brown complimented each other with random pops of greenery scattered around accenting everything together, “I’m loving the cozy vibe.”
Joshua dipped his head down in a laugh, rubbing the back of his neck out of shyness, “Yeah, I heard about this place from Hoshi actually.”
“He seems to have orchestrated everything,” Anna could feel herself grinning as she thanked Joshua when he handed her the tabletop menu to have a look at.
“Yeah, yeah he definitely has his nose everywhere.” He agreed with an echoed laugh.
She took her bottom lip between her teeth, biting down gently as she studied over the menu. Everything looked and sounded delicious, it was hard to choose.
“Well, what are you thinking of getting? It might make this decision a little easier to pick something-,” Anna did another quick sweep over the menu before pulling her eyes away looking up, her cheeks instantly heating up when she had caught sight of Joshua’s eye’s lingering on her and the faintest smile on his lips, “What is it?”
“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to stare, I was just...um-,” His cheeks mimicked her redness as he licked his lips and looked away quickly.
“No it’s okay!” She smiled at him as she laid the menu down on the table. Joshua turned back towards her and the butterflies in her stomach fluttered as he swiped a hand through his hair out of nervousness. She wasn’t going to mention to him that she had found it endearing.
“I was thinking of maybe getting this breakfast sandwich,” He drew her attention down towards one of the many pictures scattered across the menu showing the top rated foods, “If it’s anything like the picture, then I’m sure it’s gonna taste incredible.”
“It’s decided! Let’s make it two then!”
As they waited for their order to be called, her eyes dropped down to his phone set off on the side of the table, focusing her attention on the crack at the top of the screen, “Was that from me? I swear I’ll pay to have it fixed!”
His eyes widened as he took a sip from his coffee, shaking his head rapidly when her finger grazed over the obvious crack. He swallowed down his coffee, giving her a warm smile, “Anna, you’re gonna worry yourself crazy. I promise, don’t worry about it.”
His hand laid gently on top of hers, pulling her attention up towards him instead of on his phone after noticing her eyes not leaving the device. Her lips curled upwards into a small smile as she nodded her head, “You’re right, sorry- I mean, sorry-.” Anna closed her eyes in defeat, a sharp grin forming on her mouth knowing she wasn’t ever going to win the battle.
Joshua brought his hand up to shield his laugh away the best he could, tilting his head backwards on the chair.
Containing themselves together, Joshua’s hands clasped together as he rested his elbows on the table. In an attempt to calm her nerves down again, she copied his stance on the table, the two of them grinning back and forth at each other.
“Right, let’s play twenty questions. I’d ask where you were from but your accent kinda gives it away.”
“Is it really that noticeable?” Anna’s eyes crinkled as she joked back, scrunching her nose up into a laugh when Joshua pulled his thumb and pointer finger together to indicate a small amount, “Okay my turn, I actually don’t know this but I’ll ask it, where are you from? It’s so boring I know.”
“Hey, it’s still a question! And Los Angeles, born and raised. I moved here when I was seventeen? Eighteen? I honestly can’t remember anymore.”
Anna’s eyes perked up when he mentioned LA, with some of her relatives living there, she used to frequent visiting as often as she could, “I’ve always loved LA. I can’t really say it’s much different to Sydney though.”
“Hmm let me think,” Joshua rested his palms on the table as he leaned back in his seat, “Favorite childhood memory?”
“Ooo okay!” Anna grabbed her phone and went to the pictures app, opening up a folder containing pictures of her and her family, scrolling through until she found the ones that she needed to go along with the story. She flipped the phone around for Joshua to view them better, letting him flip through the pictures.
“So my dad works at a wildlife rescue and there were always a few animals that unfortunately couldn’t be released back into the wild for whatever the reason, so they housed and took care of them at the rescue,” Joshua looked up at Anna with a warm gaze, letting her know that he was listening, “Sometimes when I would come after school, my dad would let me hold the orphaned baby animals and I’d get to help feed them and play with them.”
“Look at you!” Joshua turned the phone around and showed the image of Anna sitting on the floor playing around with a baby kangaroo, “That’s so neat! I bet you were popular in school!”
“Everyone definitely wanted to be my friend after knowing I got to play with the animals.” She smiled at the memory as he continued to flip through the pictures.
He handed Anna back her phone after he was finished and without even skipping a beat, “Next time I visit, I’ll take you with me and we can go visit my dad!”
Anna’s eyes widened when she realized what she had said, her cheeks blushing a shade of light crimson, “O-Only if you’d want to that is!”
“Are you kidding? That would be an amazing experience.”
Anna cleared her throat as she smiled back at him, “Okay your turn, favorite childhood memory?”
Before he even had the chance to respond back, their order number was called from the front counter, pulling them both back into reality of where they were and what they were actually doing.
After leaving the café, the two of them had exchanged numbers and continued their game of twenty questions which in turn became forty questions the entire way home, going back and forth between the two of them.
“I guess Hoshi knew what he was doing,” Anna smiled down at her lap as another text message from Joshua came through.
‘Had a nice time today! :)
Would love to do it again sometime!
Get home safely!’
“Hmm, Soonyoung?” Jihyo’s puzzled face went unnoticed by Anna as she was too busy texting a message back to Joshua. She pulled her bottom lip between her teeth as she went back and forth on what to text back, deciding on something short and sweet.
‘Sure will! :) & I would like that very much!’
Anna leaned her head back against the headrest as she stared out of the window, a smile plastered to lips as she clutched her phone between her fingers, watching the trees and buildings pass by in a blink of an eye, taking in a deep breath and letting it out slowly.

How would the assassins react to meeting amazons?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2019/12/31/amazons-were-long-considered-myth-these-discoveries-show-warrior-women-were-real/
(As usual I’m only adding the main games and I’m counting the Hidden Ones. Also, Basim isn’t here because I haven’t played Mirage yet)
Altaïr:
I mean… he has a thing for women who can fight when you consider Adha and Maria. Not counting the whole “what sorcery is this?” moment of his when he first met Maria which can be seen as him being too surprised by how he had been fooled by Maria into thinking she’s Robert de Sablé, we can safely say that Altaïr would give them the respect he believes they deserve. Of course, if this is post-Altaïr Chronicles + pre-AC1, then he’ll treat them the way he treats everyone, in that same arrogant “I know I’m better than you” kind of way. But, hey, at least, he treats everyone equally.
Ezio:
He’d most definitely be respectful although, if anyone was going to flirt with him, he’ll flirt back. Nothing serious though, he’s most probably there for a mission and he’s old enough to know when to prioritize. After the mission though, well, what he does in his free time is not any of the Brotherhood’s business as long as it doesn’t go against the Creed and the tenets.
Ratonhnhaké:ton:
He does not see why this is surprising. He was raised by a mother who was also a warrior. His grandmother is the leader of their clan. He doesn’t get why others are surprised.
Edward:
After the Mary reveal? Edward is at the realm of “Nothing surprises me anymore about women. I don’t know women, I will never understand women so this? This isn’t surprising me at all” all the while actually being just a bit surprised because of his upbringing. But he’s not showing it.
Arno:
… I mean… They’d remind him of his lost love, that’s for sure. Depending on how much time has passed, this might make Arno maudlin or he would look at them with a small smile that is both fond and also sad. It won’t stop him from doing his mission but he’d definitely feel some kind of bittersweet emotion whenever he thinks they do something Élise would have done.
Evie and Jacob:
Jacob would look at them for a moment before joking, “Looks like we found your homeland, Evie.”
And Evie would immediately counter with a dry “Oh good, I always knew I was adopted.”
Jayadeep is behind them, trying his best not to get swept up by their conversation to say “you’re twins” because he knew that he would lose if he did that.
Bayek:
I mean, Bayek fell in love with Aya. He would give these women the respect they deserve as warriors.
#considering some of them have proactive love interest#they won’t necessarily be surprised#sure maybe some of them would be#but they’d be polite about it#because most probably they’re there for a mission#and they need the locals’ assistance#ask and answer#assassin's creed#altaïr ibn la'ahad#ezio auditore#ratonhnhaké:ton#connor kenway#edward kenway#arno dorian#evie frye#jacob frye#bayek of siwa

Reunited at Last
Word Count: 2,479 a/n: Anything written in italics is spoken in english, anything written in bold and italics is what Evie is thinking. Warnings: swearing, talks of anxiety and throwing up
November, 2019
Evie wakes up to her alarm at three in the morning and she sighs heavily. She stretches and dismisses her alarm in the same swift motion and then she gets up to start her day. She first heads to her kitchen, petting her dogs as she passes by them. She rubs the back of her head awkwardly as she grabs one of her premade breakfast meals out of the freezer. It’s a homemade ham, bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that she made the night before, she pops it in the microwave. While it heats up she grabs a container of peach yogurt and some white chocolate granola to put inside it. She snacks on the yogurt while going over the plan for the day in her head. She needs to shower, walk her dogs, talk to her management, then go about her normal training. It’s going to be a very long day…
She’s brought back to reality when she hears her microwave beep, she grabs her food and goes and sits on her couch tucking her legs under her as she does. She rubs her temples before she eats her food kind of quickly and then she gathers herself to go shower, playing music as she does. During her shower she makes sure to wash her face and brush her teeth. She wraps herself in her robe before she walks back to her room and quickly heads to her closet. She grabs a pair of black leggings and a white cami. After she gets her clothes on she grabs her favorite oversized hoodie that is near her bag and slips on her sneakers.
“Luna, Aurora, it’s time for your walk before I go to training, my loves.” Evie calls to her dogs and they instantly run to her side with their leashes in their mouths.
Evie smiles down at them and clips their leashes to their collars and puts on their booties before they head out, she also slips on her face mask. Evie ends up walking her dogs for about twenty minutes, replaying bits of last night in her mind. She feels like a burden and lets out a stressed sigh before letting her dogs back into her apartment and hanging their leashes back up on the wall.
“You guys behave now, ya? I don’t want a single message from my roommate that you guys didn’t listen. It’ll be a longer day today so I won’t be able to see ya til tonight.” Evie says to her two dogs before kissing them both on their heads.
She grabs her bag from her room before rushing out the door, she’s late now because she lost track of time during the walk. She quickly pulls her baseball cap onto her head and slips her face mask back on before bolting out the door to catch her ride. Her manager told her they had to talk to her and those words haunted her the entire time she tried sleeping. What could they need from her? Surely she isn’t in any trouble right?
Yesterday’s training was really hard for Evie and she’s remembering every mistake she made and she wonders if it was because of that. Maybe they are cutting me from the family? Maybe I’ll never debut after all. She thought to herself tears threatening to form and she quickly stops that line of thinking and pops her earbuds in and listens to her music to calm her mind. She laid her head on the window and zones out as her mind races as to what management could want from her.
She shakes her head and comes back to reality again when she notices her phone is going off. It’s her brother and she instantly answers.
Evie is all smiles as she answers the facetime call. “Huddy! Hi! How’d you know I was up?”
“I didn’t, I have some amazing news for you though and that’s why I called you at this hour.” Hudson, Evie’s older brother, is equally as smiley as she is, if not more.
“Well, out with it!”
“You’re going to be an Auntie!” Hudson nearly shouts as he waves a positive pregnancy test at the camera.
“I’m glad!” Evie says with a beaming smile. “Unfortunately I’ve got to go, we made it to the building.”
“Awe, well, call me when you can ya?” Hudson says with a slight frown. “You’ve been extra busy the past few days.”
“Yes of course I’ll call ya. Don’t forget to eat brekky and to take care of yourself. I’ve got things to tell you later. I love ya Huds.”
“I love you too, Evs.” he replies before hanging up.
Talking to her brother seemed to bring up Evie’s mood a lot and she thanks her driver before she heads to the practice room. Blinking a lot to get her eyes used to the bright lights of the room. By now it is nearly five in the morning, usually she’d be here by now or just leaving. Evie basically lives in the practice rooms not because they make her but because she doesn’t deem herself worthy of being an idol.
“Evelyn?” says an oddly familiar voice, at first she can’t put her finger on who it is. Then her eyes instantly widen when she looks up and sees who it is. She nearly drops her bag to the floor as she bows her head very low.
“Yes sir? Was it you that needed to speak to me?” Evie asks in a shaky voice in English before she mentally scolds herself and repeats it in Korean.
“I have some really really good news for you. Follow me.” JYP says before leading her out of the training room she’s been calling home for the past year.
“Don’t you dare think I haven’t noticed how hard you work yourself Nari.” he says, stopping suddenly. Evie turns and looks at him tilting her head not wanting to interrupt him if he wants to speak again.
“I know how hard you took your elimination from the show, and I do apologize. I just hope you understand I did that so you could grow even more as an artist and find yourself more. I’ve been monitoring you closely since you’ve been eliminated and I don’t think you fit with the other girls you’ve been training with. You belong with them.” he says to her before nodding to a door. Evie starts to tremble in place, her eyes widening again.
“Skz is in there?” she asked quietly, missing her boys.
“Yes, only Chan knows you’re coming. Enter when you’re ready, you’re going to be extremely busy from this moment on. I hope you enjoy being back with the group, that is your home Nari.” with that JYP turns and walks away leaving Evie standing there with her jaw on the floor.
She takes many deep breaths trying to calm her nerves. She hasn’t seen these boys since the day she was eliminated from the show. These were her best friends in the entire industry, her literal motivation to work so hard, to be better. Right there, all she has to do is open the door. Her hands are trembling, what if they are mad at her for something? Woojin just left the group not too long ago, so what if people begin to think they added her to replace him? There’s STAYs who have been begging for Evie to debut with SKZ even now so they won’t, but what if others do? Not everyone is going to know her history with SKZ. Evie just open the door and stop procrastinating.
Evie lays her head against the door and can hear the quiet sounds of talking of the boys who she assumes had just woken up not long ago. She stays like that for a few moments until she hears footsteps coming toward the door and she quickly and quietly moves away from the door fearing it’ll open and they will see her creeping on them like that. Holding her breath she just opens the door, knowing if she doesn’t do it now she never will. She wanted to make sure that the door opened because of her and not one of the boys needed to go to the bathroom or something and exposed her waiting to enter.
When the door opens all the chattering in the room dies, she slowly closes the door behind her staring at the floor, afraid of their reactions. She nervously scratches at her arm and sort of shrinks. The silence is oh so loud.
She quietly says, “Hi…”
No one says anything, the boys just stare at her in disbelief as if they are seeing a ghost. She finally looks around to see the shocked looks on everyone’s faces and Hyunjin is crying, she wants to hug them all to catch up with them but she can’t find it in her to move. She stares at Minho and her heart drops, he looks pissed at her. Her gaze then goes to Felix who looks like he’s ready to pounce on her and tackle her in a hug. Then she sees Jeongin who is staring blankly at her as if he doesn’t believe that she’s truly there. Chan, who knew she was coming, is smiling softly and warmly, the love that always radiates off him when she’s near him is something she never forgot. Changbin is staring at her shocked to see her, his jaw hanging open. Seungmin is just staring at her, his facial expressions are hard for her to read. Finally she looks at Han who is smiling widely.
She takes one step forward before falling to the floor and she just bursts into tears, she’s having such a rough time believing any of this is real. Quickly Chan, Felix, Han, and Hyunjin rush up to her and hug her in a group hug to comfort Evie. She’s crying really hard and sorta pushes everyone away after a few moments and runs out of the room to go catch her breath, she suddenly feels really anxious. She at first didn’t have a plan, she wanted to just run home and pretend this awkward reunion never happened but she decided to just head to the bathroom instead knowing that’d be the wiser decision.
She sprints to the bathroom and ends up throwing up her breakfast. During this whole thing her phone was being blown up, she doesn’t know who could be texting her this much at this time but she just turns it to silent and washes her face and slaps her cheeks to hype herself up again. She feels really stupid for leaving them like that, for breaking down in front of them, for throwing up with anxiety. She sighs at herself and takes her phone out of her pocket and sees she’s been added to a group chat, that’s why her phone was being blown up, none of the phone numbers are saved, she couldn’t be bothered to actually read any of the messages just blankly stares at her phone for a few moments before she finally heads back to the room that she sprinted from.
She knocks on the door gently this time before entering, the chattering once again stopping when she enters the room. She feels as though all the connections she had with these boys have disappeared by the silence. She sighs and just grabs her bag and puts her phone in it before putting it in the corner of the room. When she gets back to the center of the room it’s still silent.
“Can someone please say something…?” Evie asks as she anxiously runs a hand through her hair.
“Evelyn? Is that really you?” Hyunjin was the first to say anything.
She nods before speaking. “Yes, hello. I missed you guys…” tears threaten to fall again.
“Why are you here?” Minho asks a bit coldly and Evie visibly shrinks.
Evie shrugs and equally as coldly replies. “Ask your damn leader.”
Felix comes up to Evelyn and just pulls her into a tight hug and she instantly relaxes and mumbles an apology to Minho and Chan for getting snippy as she hugs back her fellow Aussie. He gently rubs her back and kisses her on her cheeks.
“We missed you so much Evs.” Felix says to her excitedly.
“Doesn’t feel like it…” Evelyn pouts and reluctantly pulls away from the hug staring at Minho again.
“Don’t mind him, Bug.” Chan says from behind Felix. “He really missed you, he was torn up after you had to leave. I think he’s in shock.”
“Okay?” Evie is clearly confused. “Doesn’t mean he has to be cold to me like we are strangers now. It’s only been a year…”
She moves around Felix and hugs each member excluding Minho who is just glaring daggers at her.
“Oi!” Evie shouts at Minho to get his attention. “Do you want a hug, Minnie?”
He stands up and just opens his arms and she borderline runs into his arm catching him off guard and they fall to the floor laughing and just cuddle one another, the cold front instantly leaving when he finally got her in his arms. Minho was always one of the members Evie was close to. After they hug for a short while she goes back to clinging to Hyunjin, another one of the boys she’s extremely close to. Instinctively he kisses her head and Chan ushers the group to gather around, Evie sits between Minho and Hyunjin.
“You guys are probably curious as to why Evelyn is back with us in this room. Well I have got some news for you all.” Chan starts the announcement and Evie grabs one hand of each of the boys around her feeling nervous for some reason, fearing they would reject Chan’s words.
“I have been having a lot of serious conversations recently after everything that has been happening. I voiced how we were upset with the fact that JYP cut Evelyn from the team. After telling him about how I don’t feel like the team is truly ‘Stray Kids’ without Evelyn he told me that he has been monitoring her training process since the day she left us and that if we wanted…” Chan pauses for a moment, probably for dramatic effect before speaking again. “She could join Stray Kids during our next comeback!”
The boys all let out gasps and Minho squeezes Evie’s hand rather tightly, probably from excitement from being able to be with her everyday again. All the boys voice their agreement to let Evie back into Stray Kids, agreeing the group felt so wrong without her. Evelyn finally felt at home again for the first time in about a year. She hugs everyone and tells them all she loves them before they all got ready to actually start practicing.

Plus One
Inspired by @justrainandcoffee Wandering Jew series.
Aka an excuse to write rolfie and teva in the same universe
Gif by @crackshipandcrap
(2019)
“Who won’t text you back?” Eva asked noticing the rather forlorn way he looks at the message.
She knows he’d been seeing someone, and yet while he knows about her disastrous sex life, Eva doesn’t know jack shit about his beyond Grace the Barmaid, Lizzie and several other women Eva may or may not have also fucked.
“None of your business, Smith.” Tommy glared and she pouted.
It had been a bad idea to ask her out again, the drinks had been fine and she thought him a gentleman when he didn’t take her up on her suggestion of staying over at her place.
“I told you about my ex marrying my cousin and my ex who fucked all my friends, c’mon, Tommy tell me who’s the broad who’s place I need to trash.” The brunette reminds him.
They were friends now.
Eva was enjoying being single after her ex decided Franco was who she loved and Tommy had been in a relationship with someone whom he had hardly ever mentioned.
“Not a she, and no, you’re not committing a felony for me, Evie, but thanks anyway.” He said with annoyance and shoved his phone into his pocket.
“Ah so we’re more similar than I thought. So your guy broke up with you, then?” the witchy young woman guessed correctly going by the stony look he gets as he orders another drink.
“Yes, and before you ask. It was me not him.” The dark haired man loathed speaking about things like these and yet he willingly shared this with her, progress. “Won’t forgive me and I know you’d agree with him.”
“You got me there. If it makes you feel better, I’ve been there before. At least your ex is still alive to hate you.” Eva regrets her words the moment she said them.
She never told anyone about Leopoldo, nor how him learning about her and Antonia seeing each other behind his back led to the car accident that killed him.
She’d been displayed as his grieving girlfriend. Given flowers, comforted along with his family and crushed by the guilt of knowing she hadn’t truly loved him.
“Lucky me.” He grumbled bitterly and raised his whiskey in a toast. “Here’s to our shit luck, Evie.”
It is spring 2020 when Tommy and Eva elope to Cancun and welcome the pandemic as the newly elected representative of the Birmingham Hall Green.
Their exes remain unnamed and neither Shelby aware of how little the world is.
Its 2023 when two identical invitations arrived addressed to the both of them.
“I didn’t know you knew Alfie as well.” Eva mentions as he played with little Gabriel on the rug.
The look on his face says it all.
Alfie was the guy who dumped him for being a cheating asshole.
Same Alfie who was Aunt Florence’s baby brother.
There had been no malicious intent.
This is what Rose tells herself when Alfie learns she hadn’t removed Tommy Shelby from the guest list.
She had met him in passing once, when she found more than just a nice holiday at the Wandering Jew.
Then she came to know Tommy had been the heartless bastard who’d broken Alfie’s heart. Having disliked him from the start, knowing how awful he was had made her hate him.
Now she was seeing him in the profile picture of Alfie’s ‘niece’ Eva Smith-Riley who had sent her congratulations through Instagram.
Rose had met through zoom calls and FaceTime and once in person when Eva came to give them her good news.
‘Is it okay if I bring my plus one?’
It was then Rose had seen who the man she was married to was.
Then the bride to be did what everyone has done since the invention of social media has done.
She looked at every single photo of him in Eva’s profile, Facebook page, twitter and some tabloids that sprung up under her name.
They’d met at Birmingham U, they dated for approximately five months, married on the first of March in a lovely beach in Mexico and had a baby named Gabriel.
“Are you jealous of Evie, sweetheart?” Alfie Asks seeing the picture of Eva hanging out with some celebrity at a charity thing.
“No. It’s not that. Why didn’t you tell me Tommy’s her husband?” she shows him the next picture, Tommy Shelby smiling through the pain holding his one-year-old son next to Eva.
After the way he fucked things up with Alfie, Tommy resolved himself to be a better man.
“Because I didn’t know about it until she married the fucker and then I didn’t want to ruin things for her. He’s changed, or so it seems.” the burly man admitted knowing the hell that was going to be unleashed.
“For a man in love he looks like he’s in agony.” Rose points out thinking the worst of Thomas Shelby.
“That’s just his face, love, he can’t help it.”
And he had, not once has he strayed and while that took much work on his account, it had rewarded him with a woman he loves and a family he hadn’t thought he could have.
He should’ve told her about his past with Alfie, but he was afraid, not sure of what, but he was afraid.
Eva wouldn’t have judged him about it, not after she told him about Leopoldo, but Alfie was her friend.
And yet here they lay beside each other as the baby slept curled up between them.
“You should’ve told me, Tom.” She’s not angry, there is a hint of disappointment about her, but nothing has changed as he feared he would. “We don’t have to go, if you don’t want to.”
“He’s your friend, sort of relative too. I don’t want you to miss it on account of me.” He could invent an excuse to stay, claim Gabe is too little for a sitter.
“Alfie is your friend too, we’ll hire a sitter for Gabe and you will come with me. I already told Alfie I’d be bringing you anyways.” She points out reaching to caress his face, a contrast to his words.
December rolls around, and Tommy finds himself fixing the black satin bowtie that matches Eva’s black evening gown exactly.
“Are you ready?” she asks softly, knowing how big of a step this is for him.
“Yeah, ready as I’ll ever be, Mrs. Shelby.”

Your line about Lucy giving a post-match interview with Evie on her shoulders - I feel like this kind of chaos probably happened when Evie was younger. Either this, or City installed a basket of toys at head-height in the mix zone to keep her occupied.
this definitely happened many times for england and manchester city. evie on lucy's shoulders while she gave an interview, i think it wasn't even the worst at man city but at the 2019 world cup.
evie would've been four and lived on lucy's shoulders. lucy scored that amazing world cup goal against norway and does all the interviews and evie's just there. she was sitting on the bench so she was in every post-match interview but her best moments were her reactions when england wee playing not just when they scored but when the ref made a bad decision. she'd stand next to phil neville on the sideline and look like his mini-me protesting the decisions and copying his facial expressions
(please imagine a small child wearing an england top and a pair of random shorts with her hair in braids standing next to phil in these images)
evie got very angry in the cameroon game and had to sit on demi's lap the whole time to make sure she didn't run on the pitch (because she wasn't too close to keira yet, demi was the person she was closest to and this world cup - she knew evie from birth)

June 17th- Sidney and Evie’s hotel suite- Mandalay Bay hotel- Las Vegas
“Evie,” Sidney called from the hotel suite bathroom as he unpacked their toiletries, “What do you want to do tonight?”
Evie hung Sidney’s suits and her dresses in the closet. “I don’t know,” she called back, “Besides the obvious gambling, what is fun to do in Vegas? I have never been here.”
“Wait, you have never been to Vegas? Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked as he walked into the room. She shrugged her shoulders. “Well, there are outstanding restaurants, shows, strip clubs, people watching…..” he added. Evie raised a single eyebrow at the mention of strip clubs. He noticed and pivoted the subject. “Nate is flying in a couple of hours. We could have dinner with him,” he suggested.
“You pick the place, Beso,” she smiled, “It must have gluten and dairy, okay?” He nodded his head. “How early is your tee time tomorrow? Can we go out and explore after dinner?”
"It's a ten AM tee time so I can do a late night out. We are in Vegas after all," he walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist. He began walking her to the bed. "Get naked while I make plans," he instructed as he walked back in the restroom to call the concierge for dinner and show reservations.
"Beso, why am I getting naked? Is it nap time?" she called out coyly, "I thought we weren't sleeping yet to fight the jet lag.
He poked his head out of the bathroom, "I didn't say anything about sleeping. It's time for my afternoon snack. Get it ready for me."
"And what is your favorite snack, Beso?" she teased.
"You know what it is. It's between your legs," he answered back.
June 18th- Sidney and Evie’s hotel suite
"You're kidding me, right?" Sidney whined, "Seggy, please tell me that you're kidding me." Evie looked up from the couch in their suite. "Our tee time is in forty five minutes, buddy. If you want to weasel out of the bet, just let me know. No hard feelings," he said in frustration. "Where am I going to find another person to play?" he said as he observed Evie. "Hold on," he said to Tyler Seguin. "Evie, have you ever golfed? Do you want to come with us?" he asked.
She looked over, "Yes, I have played golf before, but I don't have anything packed to wear." Sidney shot her a pleading look. “I expect to be rewarded for this, but yes I will play,” she finally agreed.
"Okay Seggy, we have our fourth," Sidney sighed. Seggy questioned him and he responded, "Yeah, It's Evie. Try to take it easy on her." Sidney hung up the phone, walked over and enveloped her in a hug. “You’re the best, Evie,” he kissed her cheek.
"By the way, what is the bet?" she asked, "Is it a team or an individual bet?"
"Team," he answered, “Winning team wins $10,000”
“What are the teams?” she questioned.
“Nate and me, Seguin and …….” his voice trailed off and her eyebrows raised before he continued, “I mean I guess we can switch it so that you are on my team.”
“You don’t sound thrilled about the idea, Beso” she said softly.
“I didn’t say that,” he countered weakly.
“Do you not want to play with me? Think I will bring your score down?” she argued.
“You thinking will bring my score down instead of up is the problem. You don’t even know the difference,” he laughed.
“You knew what I meant, Beso,” she sighed heavily, “I will play with Tyler. I don’t want to play with a teammate who doesn’t believe in me.”
Sidney stammered, “I believe in you, Evie.”
“Yeah, just not in my golf skills. It’s okay. I know winning is important to you,” she smiled, “However don’t get too cocky. I may get lucky out there.”
Sidney smiled, “You are not mad?’”
“Nope, not at all. Just don’t come crying to me when Team Texas kicks your Novia Scotia asses,” she smiled, "Okay, I am sure that there is a pro shop at the club. Let's head over now and I will get some clothes."
Sidney and Evie got to the golf club fifteen minutes later. Sidney went to check in and get their golf cart and clubs. Evie ran to the pro shop and went on a mini shopping spree courtesy of Sidney's black AMEX. She dressed quickly and put her hair back in a ponytail before putting on her visor. When she emerged from the locker room, Sidney blinked and stared at her outfit. "The skirt is a little short, Evie," he said.
"It's a skort. It was either this or dress like a grandma. If I am going to golf, I refuse to look bad doing it," she teased. She packed her bag with sunscreen and lipstick. "Let's go Crosby," she teased.
When they arrived back at the golf carts, Seguin and Mackinnon waited. Seguin gulped as he watched Evie examine her rental golf clubs. Her golf skort barely covered her ass. The sleeveless shirt stretched tight over her breasts. The neckline went down into a deep V that exposed her cleavage. The 87 charm dangled on her clavicle.
When she got her clubs onto the back of the cart, she went over to give Nate a hug. "Long time no see," she laughed even though they just had dinner together the previous night. She extended her hand to Seguin, "Tyler, right? Good to see you again. I'm Evie. We met in Dallas.”
"I remembered," he smiled, "Thanks for saving my ass." He gave her a wink. Sidney cleared his throat and Evie took her seat in the golf cart. She flashed a smile at Sidney, "Ready to kick ass, Beso?" She leaned over and kissed him passionately.
As she did, Seguin watched from the cart behind. "Damn," he said to himself, "She's fucking hot." Nate smiled to himself and shook his head. Seggy shot him a look and shrugged, "Where's the lie?"
Nate smiled, "Just don't let Sid hear you. He might tear your head off."
FIRST TEE
"So tell me about the bet," Evie asked as the group stood at the tee box on their first hole. Nate laughed and walked away.
"It is a match play style. The team with the best score per hole wins the hole. The team that wins the most holes wins the bet," Tyler explained. "What's the prize?" She asked.
Evie looked from man to man before Seggy admitted, "It's five grand buy-in. If we win, we split ten grand. If they win, they split five grand ."
"Why five for them ?" Evie asked, "Are you not counting me in the bet?
Sidney smiled, "Evie, it's a ten grand team bet. Do you have five grand to bet?" She shot him a look. "Do you want to be in on the bet?"
Seggy, "If we win, we’ll split the ten grand. If you lose, I will pay the entire ten grand and you won't owe anything. After all, you are saving from forfeiting altogether. Any objections?" He looked to other men who nodded in agreement.
“This is going to be the easiest money I’ve ever earned,” Nate laughed. Evie gave him a side eye. “Come on, Evie. You guys have no shot at beating us. Just give us the money, right now. I mean he may be a badass with the ladies but he isn’t good enough to carry both of you.”
“You think he needs to carry me, Nate?” Evie smiled and went to select a club, “Talk to me in eighteen holes. You’ll be signing a different tune then.” Sidney pointed out the driver and she gingerly selected it.The men insisted that Evie tee off first. She put her ball on the ladies tee. Sidney walked over and pointed to where she should try to hit the ball. He went back to watch her. Evie took the driver in her hand. "Oh God, Sid you gotta help her," Seggy giggled.
Sidney approached Evie with a smile, "Let me show you." He stood behind her and placed his hands over hers. She felt his breath on her neck as he showed her how to swing. She looked back at him sweetly and he gave her a quick kiss. "Try now," he whispered and walked back to his original spot. She swung and made contact with the ball. It landed on the fairway, barely avoiding the sand trap. "Good girl," he praised. She smiled shyly and picked up her tee. Seguin raised his eyebrows at Sidney's praise. Sidney kissed her on the temple before he walked to tee off. He hit his shot and landed on the fairway. Evie cheered for him and rewarded him with a kiss when he went to select his next club. Nate shook his head and took his shot.
Seggy approached the tee and looked back at Evie. She stood in front of Sidney who wrapped his arm and her waist and pulled her tight against his body. She gasped right as Seggy hit the ball as Sidney kissed her neck. His ball hooked left and went into the rough. "Tough break," Sidney commented.
Evie caught the look of envy in Seguin's eyes as he glanced back. She smiled inwardly and walked to her ball. She looked back to see both Sidney and Seggy watching her ass. "Come on gentleman," she called as they stood and stared.
“Hey,” Tyler called out, “We should switch up golf carts. It’s bad enough that Evie is sleeping with my enemy for the day, but does she have to ride in the same cart too?” She looked at Sidney and then back at Seguin. “Come on, Evie- we’re a team, remember?” he whined.
Sidney grimaced and looked at Evie who smiled as she picked up her golf bag and moved it to the back of the second golf cart. Nate smirked as he placed his bag in Sidney’s golf cart. “Beso, what are you staring at?” she teased, “You could have had me on your team, but you were more concerned about your score. Enjoy your time with Nate.”
Tyler smiled as Evie slid into the seat next to him. “Welcome to Team Tyler,” he chuckled as he started the cart to take them up to their balls.
"Team Texas," Evie corrected. "Listen, if I am going to ride with you, I need to control the music," she stated as she plugged her phone into the aux plug.
"Fair enough," he winked, “So Sid didn’t want you on his team?” Tyler leaned over and whispered in her ear, “If you were my girl, I would always have you on my team. I wouldn't let another man get close to you.”
Evie smiled and looked the other way, "but I am not your girl and never will be."
"Come on Evie, let a guy dream," Tyler teased.
"Dream on, Tyler, dream on,"
They pulled up to their balls. Evie studied her ball thoughtfully. She looked back at Sidney who smiled smugly. "Ask your teammate," he said with a barely perceptible hint of annoyance in his tone. Evie raised an eyebrow and turned to that tattooed brunette. Tyler smiled and walked over to Evie. They spoke in hushed tones as Tyler explained how he would play the ball. She nodded in understanding as Tyler handed her the correct club to use. He moved back as Sidney studied Evie's form. It killed him internally to let her stand incorrectly but the desire to win prevented him from providing assistance.
"You got this, Evie," Tyler encouraged as she approached the ball. She hit the ball and the foursome watched it sail through the air. Tyler smiled as the ball landed on the edge of the green. "EVIE!" Tyler screamed as she beamed.
"Was that right, Tyler?' She smiled coyly. He nodded enthusiastically as she stood next to him. Together they watched Sidney and Nate take their turns before Tyler approached his ball and hit it with force. It landed within eight feet of the hole. Sidney and Nate groaned as Evie cheered loudly. By the time it was her turn on the green, the outcome of the hole had solidly decided. Tyler secured the win with an eagle. Still she focused and surprised the trio by finishing with par score. Evie and Tyler celebrated with an excited hug. Sidney raised an eyebrow and shook his head.
The two teams traded victories with each hole for the first nine holes. Team Texas had the one hole advantage. The group decided to flag down the drink cart. While drinking her cocktail, Evie turned up the music on her phone and did a little cumbia dance to Selena’s “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom”. https://youtu.be/snlEdcHf7js
Sidney watched in bemusement as Evie grabbed Tyler’s hand to dance. The Canadian mimicked her footsteps and hip movements. They were breathless when the song ended and Sidney barked “Break time is over, Evie Rose.”
“Don’t be grumpy because you are losing, Beso,” Evie shouted as she got into the cart with Tyler.
“It’s just one hole, Evita,” he shouted back.
“For now,” she yelled, “Let’s go, Seggy!” He started the cart and took off, cutting off Nate and Sid’s cart in the process. Evie leaned over and whispered in Tyler’s ear, “Want to know a secret?”
“Absolutely, but why are you whispering?” Tyler responded.
“Oh right,” she said in her normal voice “I may or may not have been playing to the best of my abilities for the first nine holes.”
“Say what?” Tyler choked.
“I told Sidney that I have golfed before, but I neglected to tell him just how much golf I’ve played,” she looked back at Sidney’s cart and returned her gaze to Tyler. His eyes widened in question. “I used to golf with my dad once a week. I was state champ my senior year of high school and went to Tech on a golf scholarship.”
“No fucking way,” he screamed before he lowered his voice, “You’re like a golf shark?”
“Try to keep up, okay?” she taunted, “But Team Nova Scotia is going down.”
Sidney’s eyes narrowed as he observed the interaction. There was something entirely too chummy about Seguin’s behavior towards Evie. However, what gnawed at him more was the fact that they were down a hole. “We’ll get it back on the back nine,” he thought to himself, “Evie can’t sustain this beginner’s luck.” Sidney watched as Evie danced in her seat next to Tyler. “Nah, let her distract him,” he chuckled, “I’ll use it to my advantage.”
Tyler insisted that Sidney and Nate tee off first for the last nine holes. Before Sidney walked up to the tee, Evie approached him with a sly smile. “Beso, I just wanted to wish you good luck,” she purred in his ear before giving him a soft kiss on the cheek, “but you are going down.”
“Care to make a side bet?” he chuckled.
“After I beat you, I get to plan the evening activities and nothing is off the table,” she teased.
“Same for me when I win?” he retorted. She nodded her head yes. “Oh, and it’s individual scores against each other?” he questioned.
“Yes, but starting now. The first nine holes don’t count.” she countered.
Tyler looked at the ground and pretended not to listen, but inwardly he grinned. “He’s getting played. Well done, Evie, well done!” he laughed to himself.
When Evie teed off the tenth hole and landed perfectly on the fairway, Sidney’s jaw dropped. She flashed a quick smile before hopping into the cart for the next shot. She and Tyler were laughing as he approached his ball. “Hey,” he whined, “Can you keep it down?” Evie made an exaggerated movement to zip her lips while Tyler suppressed giggles. The giggle fest continued after Sidney needed multiple attempts on the putting green. The scenario replayed itself multiple times with Evie besting him at each hole.
“Hole fourteen goes to Team Texas,” Tyler gleefully announced, “For those playing along, that would put Team Texas at ten holes to Team Nova Scotia’s four holes. Do you want to concede defeat and head to the clubhouse?”
“Fuck no,” Sidney hissed, “Evie and I still have our side bet. I am not giving up yet.”
Evie tilted her head and walked over to Sidney, “Beso, are we going to have a repeat of Philadelphia and the face-off challenge?” He frowned at the memory and how childish he had behaved. He shook his head no and forced a smile. “Good, now let’s finish this,” she said as she ran her finger down his chest, “I have plans for tonight.” She turned and sashayed back to where Tyler stood.
“Evie Rose,” Sidney called out to her, “You’re going to be the death of me.”
“Oh, but a good way to die.” Tyler chimed in as Sidney rolled his eyes. “Hey Evie, how do you say little rose in Spanish?”
“Rosita,” she answered.
“Come on, mi rosita,” he laughed, “Let’s finish him off.”
“Fuck this,” Nate whined, “I am hot and tired. I am going back in.”
“Oh no you are not, Nate,” Evie protested, “You are going to stay around and suffer the consequences for shit talking that you did. You should really apologize to Sid for having to carry your ass. Too bad he wasn’t good enough to carry you both.”
Sidney rolled his eyes, “Don’t get too cocky, Evie. You are only two strokes ahead of me.”
Sidney made up ground on the next two holes, pulling himself into a tie with Evie. Tyler found himself invested in Evie’s victory and coached her through the next hole. She smiled and politely sent him back with a smack on the ass. He pulled ahead on hole seventeen when he score an eagle (Two strokes under par) to her birdie(one stroke under par).
“Don’t panic, Rosita,” Tyler called as he flagged down the beverage cart. He bought two shots of tequila and handed one to Evie. “I have faith in you. Cheers to Team Texas forever!” They slammed the shots as Sidney hit a perfect shot onto the fairway. Evie followed suit. Sidney’s next shot hit cleanly from the fairway onto the green, ending up about eight feet from the hole. He finished with a respectable birdie.
Evie lined up her shot from the fairway. She would need an eagle to tie and force sudden death. She crossed herself and said a silent prayer, “Come on Papa- help me out here.” She swung the club and watched as the ball landed on the green. It took a lucky bounce and started rolling towards the hole. “Go, go, go” she and Tyler shouted as the ball continued on its path. Sidney watched in horror as the ball made a beeline and bounced into the hole. “Double Eagle, double eagle!!!” she shouted, “Holy shit, I made a double eagle.” Tyler scooped her up and spun her around as Sidney watched in disbelief.
“Rosita,” Tyler exclaimed, “You beat us all!”
He put her down onto her feet and she looked tentatively at Sidney. She saw his jaw tense momentarily before he smiled at her. She tilted her head in question before he held out his arms. She ran into them and wrapped her arms around his waist. He too, spun her around before playfully smacking her ass. “You hustled me, Evie,” he laughed, “You hustled me.”
She smiled before kissing him hard, “Yes, I did.”
“That’s my fault for not choosing you for my teammate,” he sighed, “I’ll never make that mistake again, Mon Etoile.”
“No, not you won’t” she laughed, “Oh, the plans I have for you tonight.”
“Can I come?” Tyler shouted, “I’ll be really quiet and just watch.”
“In your dreams, Seggy,” Evie shouted back, “In your dreams.”
Tyler pouted, “One day you’ll come to your senses, Rosita, and you’ll realize that you blew your shot.”
Evie turned around and stuck her tongue out at Tyler, “You enjoy that fantasy tonight…. In your hotel room…..alone with your hand.”
Tyler shot back, "Oh Rosita, I won't be alone."
Evie smiled smugly, "Try not to scream my name, kay!" Tyler's jaw dropped as he was rendered speechless.
Sidney whispered as he put her down, “That’s enough, Princess.”
Evie smiled and walked away from the group to the golf cart. Sidney followed and slid into the seat next to her. "Are you upset, Evie? he said softly. She looked at him. With a deft hand, she slipped his hat backwards on his head so she could look into his eyes.
"Before I answer, tell me if you are upset with me," she replied. He tilted his head in question. "You know, for beating you or not shutting Seguin down," she said.
"You beat me fair and square- just like you beat in Philadelphia. I am not going to be a sore loser again and steal your joy. Enjoy your victory," he kissed her cheek.
"And Seggy?" She questioned.
"No, I am not upset about Seggy. It is just some playful flirting. He is not an actual threat," he smiled.
"You think?" She bopped his nose.
"He couldn't handle you, Evie. He has no idea how naughty you can be. No way he can treat you like the insatiable princess that you are," he grabbed her face and planted a firm kiss on her lips.
She licked her lips, “Okay, Mr. Crosby but I am warning you. Mr. Crosby will not be playing with his Princess tonight. I have other plans.”
Sidney burst out laughing, “I am not sure if I should be scared or turned on.”
LATER THAT EVENING
Sidney walked into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist. He looked at the bed where Evie had carefully laid out his outfit for the evening- suit pants, dress shirt and coat. He smirked and poked his head back into the spacious bathroom. "You picked out my clothes too?" he joked. He had been pestering Evie for clues about their plans since they had returned from the golf club. She had sent him on a mission to find coffee and snacks so she could speak to the VIP concierge in peace.
She looked up from where she was carefully applying her make-up. "Yes, I did, Beso," she answered, "Otherwise you would still try to pry information out of me."
He walked behind her and pressed himself into her bottom as she bent over to apply her mascara. She let out a squeal. "I would rather try to pry something INTO you," he teased as she stared at his reflection.
"Usually you don't have to pry it in, Beso. It slides in quite easily if I recall," she teased back, "You need to accept that I am in control tonight. Can you do that? For one night?"
"You know I like to be in control," he nipped at her shoulder, "You are such a good girl for me."
"Trust me," she whispered, "Now let me finish. I will give you a hint- meat and potatoes"
"Steak? I get steak?" he smiled, "Fine, be in control for the night." He playfully smacked her ass and walked away to get dressed.
When she emerged in her silver metallic dress, Sidney did a double take. The plunging neckline dipped down to her navel and her cleavage was on full display. The tulip hem was cut scandalously high. "I don't remember buying that dress, Evie," he stammered.
"You didn't. It came in stock after you left for Europe. Kelly thought it would be good for Vegas so I bought it." she explained, "It's sexy, right?"
"Very" Sidney deadpanned. He resisted the urge to add further comment. The dress left little to the imagination but he was surprisingly at peace with it. He studied her expression as she looked for his approval. It struck him that she chose this dress for no other purpose than to appear sexy for him. "Do a turn," he said softly, "I want to see it." She did a slow turn and looked over her shoulder with a smile. She added a butt wiggle which he met with a smile. "It's perfect. You look like the sexiest woman on earth," he complimented.
She ran to him, "You really like it, Beso?" Evie had expected a more negative reaction. "It's only for you. Your opinion is the only one that matters."
"I do like it," he kissed her cheek, "I will have to beat off the men and women with a stick."
"Men and women?" She questioned.
"You have universal appeal, Evie. You would have to blind not to be attracted to you," he praised.
"Flattery will get you everywhere, Sir," she teased, "but it will not get you any more clues. Time to go."
Evie led Sidney downstairs and into the waiting limo. Evie sat close to Sidney and put her legs across his lap. "I wonder what Buddy is doing right now?" she giggled as they headed down the strip. He trailed his fingers up and down her thigh. "That was a good night. I hope tonight is just as memorable," she purred.
"Do we have time for a re-enactment?" He pondered aloud. He groaned as the limousine pulled to Caesars Palace.
Soon his curiosity overtook his disappointment as Evie led them through the lobby and toward the Palm steakhouse. He noticed the lascivious stares and double-takes as she held his hand at first before she wrapped her arm around his. He grinned as she approached the maître d with a sweet smile. She spoke softly, "Yes, we have a reservation for Cole Harbour." She deftly slipped a one hundred dollar bill across into his palm. "We would like the most romantic and private booth possible," she stated. The gentleman nodded and led them to a table in the back of the restaurant.
They sat next to each other in the circular booth. "I've always wanted to try this place, but haven't had the chance," he grinned, "How did you know?"
She nudged his shoulder with hers, "I did my research today."
"What other things did you research?" He nudged back.
"Listen, Papi Chulo, you need to stop fishing for information or there will be consequences. Got it?" she warned.
"Ummm, what did you just call me?" He laughed.
"Cute daddy," she turned and caressed his thigh. His eyes shot up in surprise. "Even when I am the boss, you'll always be my Daddy," she playfully pouted, "But tonight Baby Girl is in control."
"You're hot when you're bossy," he smiled, "no more fishing, promise."
They ate their meal in a playful mood. Evie laughed as Sidney devoured his steak. He joked about needing the energy for the rest of the night. Sidney rolled his eyes as she moaned with each bite of creme Brule.
When they got back into the limousine, Sidney pulled her into his lap so she straddled him. His hands pushed her dress up and squeezed her ass. "Control yourself, Papi. Our next stop is soon" she scolded.
"Evie," Sidney said in disbelief as they pulled up to the VIP entrance to the large strip club, "Are we at a strip club?" The limousine drive opened and the VIP host greeted them, "Ms. Montgomery?"
Evie nodded and answered "That's me."
"Follow me," he stated as he escorted them into the club. After a quick scan of their IDs, they were take upstairs to a private sky box. Evie gripped Sidney’s hand tight as he walked in front of her through the club. Once again, Evie drew the stares of men as they walked by despite the presence of dozens of top less dancers.
It was only once they safely inside the Sky box did they relax. The room was relatively small and cozy with a leather couch next to an open window overlooking the main stage. Evie walked nervously around the room to get her bearings. The confidence that she had exuded in the restaurant and limo seemed to be dissipating. She looked at Sidney nervously, "I have never been to a strip club before, Papi. I assume you have." He nodded his head. "How many times have you been to strip clubs? Will you teach me how to do it?" She asked with a hesitancy in her voice.
"Let's just say that I have been inside numerous strip clubs. I will admit that it's my first time with a date." Sidney smiled, "It looks like you pre-ordered bottle service. The Grey Goose is a good selection." She smiled timidly as he opened the bottle and made a vodka soda for himself. Then he opened the Malibu and made a drink for her. "Why did you bring me here, Evie?"
"You mentioned strip clubs yesterday. I thought it be a fun idea to pop my strip club 'cherry' with you." She offered. He eyed her suspiciously and she blushed. "Don't look at me like that, Papi," she pouted.
"What are you not telling me?" He asked gently.
She bit her lip and looked out the window. "Remember on the night we met and the subject of threesomes came up during the Never Have I game?" she questioned.
"Yes," he answered, "You took a drink and I didn't."
"And then later, you asked how you earned a threesome. I told you that you could have a threesome where you watched if you scored a hat trick and participate if you won the cup?" She asked.
"I remember," he said as he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her.
"Do you also remember what happened when you played against the Avalanche in Colorado?" She continued.
"Yes, I got a natural hat trick," he said as he realized where Evie might possibly headed with this conversation.
"You haven't gotten your reward yet Papi," she reached for his hand and slipped it into her dress, "Do you want your reward, Papi?"
Sidney blinked slowly. His mind raced with the idea that she was proposing to him. She was suggesting a threesome with a stripper. The visuals began immediately and his cock twitched. "Are you sure?" He questioned. He gently squeezed her breast as she wiggled her ass against him.
"Yes Papi," she moaned, "I want you to watch me play with one of these lovelies. Do you want to watch me play? Would that please you?"
"Fuck yes," he growled into her ear, "You have no idea."
"Help me choose," she purred, "Help me pick a beautiful one to fuck."
"Evie," he grunted, "let's look together."
"Do you have a type?" Sidney asked as he scanned the room below, "What hair color do you prefer?"
"No redheads," she spit out, "Not to malign all redheads but my failed threesome was with a redhead." He looked over at her with a questioning look. "She was an uninterested in me, but just wanted to fuck the guy I was with. He wanted to fuck her without "cheating". Her performance was pretty lackluster."
Sidney kissed her neck, "No redheads." His eyes scanned the room as Evie danced to the music. "What about her?" he pointed to a short brunette. Evie watched her on the side stage and shook her head no.
Their heads turned to the main stage as the DJ announced a new performer, Roxie. When the blonde stepped into the spotlight, Evie sucked in her breath. Her large bosom bounced lightly as she walked. Her hands slid over hips as she shook her ass. Evie's eyes lit up and she followed her sensual moves. Sidney picked up the room phone and arranged a private dance in the sky box. Evie watched intently as Roxie danced. Her hips mimicked Roxie's dance moves. Sidney whispered in her ear, "You like her, do you?" She nodded her head and kept her eyes on the dancer. "Tell me why," he nibbled her ear.
"I like her confidence when she walks and dances. She commands attention," Evie started, "I like her curves. She is softer than the rest of them."
Sidney grabbed her hips and brought her into him. "What do you want her to do during your dance?" He questioned. The visions were already driving Sidney crazy with desire, but listening to Evie speak added another level.
"I want her to grind her ass into my lap. I want her shake her tits into my face," she confessed, "Can I touch her? Is that allowed? I want to squeeze them."
Sidney laughed, "I think for the right price she will."
Roxy's set ended and she was approached by the VIP host. The private dance request was made and the host pointed up the Sky Box. Roxy's blue eyes looked up and locked with Evie's eyes. Evie smiled and gave a shy wave. The dancer smiled broadly and made her way through the crowd.
Evie turned to Sidney who paced the room on the phone. "Right, please go ahead and have the bottles and food delivered to the room. We will check in within the hour." He stopped and smiled at his love. "Taking care of details," he said softly as Evie crossed over to him. They clung to each other and he whispered, "I will take care of the logistics. You just give the sign if she is the one you really want."
They both turned when the door open. Roxie walked in with confidence. She politely declined a drink from Sidney as she grabbed Evie's hand. The blonde pulled her into her body and began a sexy roll maneuver. "Am I dancing for him or you,?" She purred. Evie pointed to herself and Roxie grinned. "Oh, that's even better," she laughed as she guided Evie to the couch. She pushed Evie down and stood in front of her. The robe slid off her shoulders and Evie crossed her legs together and squeezed them.
Sidney took a seat in the chair perpendicular to the couch. He leaned forward on his elbows and watched. Roxie danced sensually in front of Evie for a minute before backing into her and grinding her ass into Evie's lap. "AM I allowed to touch you?" She spoke hesitantly. Roxie took Evie's hand and placed it on her breast. Sidney adjusted himself as Evie made eye contact with him. She mouthed the word yes and Sidney nodded. A second hand came to Roxie's breasts and squeezed lightly. Evie whispered to her, "You're so hot. You turned me on so much."
Sidney's eyebrows raised at Evie as Roxie stood up and squatted in front of her. She pushed Evie's dress up so that her panties were exposed. Roxie blew softly through the thin fabric of the panties. She looked up as Evie threw her head back and moaned softly. Roxie looked back at Sidney who waved her off and pointed her attention back to Evie.
Roxie stood up and straddled Evie's thighs. Evie's hands slid onto Roxie's ass and pulled her closer. Roxie moaned softly before pressing her knee into Evie's crotch. "Mmmmm, you like what you see? I'm sorry- what is your name?"
Evie rocked her hips and squeezed Roxie's ass, "Evie and that is my Papi Chulo."
Roxie turned to Sidney, "Papi, you like watching your girl getting dry humped? Do you like watching her get herself off on me?"
Sidney licked his lips, "Very much so." He glanced at Evie and mouthed, "Are you sure?" She continued press herself against Roxie's knee and nodded vigorously. "I think Evie would like to continue this in a more private location. Would you be willing to provide that additional service at our hotel room across the street?" Evie's eyes flashed at that bit of information. Sidney smiled sweetly at Evie in an unspoken message of "Trust me."
"Two person or three person play?" Roxie asked.
"Just the two of you with an observer," Sidney answered
"Vanilla or Kinky?" Roxie prodded.
Sidney looked at Evie and shrugged, "Your choice Mamacita."
Evie whispered, "Vanilla."
Roxie studied Sidney. She noted his tailored suit jacket, his expensive wristwatch and shoes. She observed the way he stared at Evie in a mixture of complete adoration and willingness to do whatever it took to please her. He was not your typical big spender looking to get off. No, this was solely for her.
Roxie then studied Evie who still had her increasingly damp panties pressed against her knee. She pushed Evie's hair back from her face and then rubbed her thumb across Evie's bottom lip. Evie's mouth opened and she sucked on Roxie's thumb softly.
"Five grand," Roxie offered, "Off the books and the rest of your entertainment credit." Evie blinked. She had no idea what her fantasy fulfillment would cost so much.
Sidney got up and walked to the women. "May I have a moment with Evie?" he asked genteelly. Roxie got up and walked to the window that overlooked the main floor. Sidney leaned down and kissed Evie's cheek, "Tell me what you want."
Evie whispered, "It's so much money."
Sidney shook his head, "It's a once in a lifetime experience. The money is not a factor." She stared into his eyes. "The only thing I care about is you and if you want to do this. Not because you think you need to reward me because of a flippant comment you made months ago. Do you want to fulfill this fantasy for both of us?
"Yes,please," she whispered.
Sidney got up and handed his phone to Roxie, "Enter your contact number and I will contact you with the room number." Evie stood and adjusted her dress back down. "Give us thirty minutes," Sidney instructed.
"It will take me at least that long," Roxie responded.
Sidney nodded his understanding. He grabbed Evie's hand and guided her down the stairs to the main level. They were passing the VIP area when Evie felt a hand grab her arm. She twisted around and stared straight into the eyes of Tyler Seguin. "Rosita" he said in a joyful but slurred voice, "Funny running into you here."
Evie gave him a warm smile before flashing Sidney a worried look. "I thought you weren't going to spend the night alone, Tyler."
"I am not alone," he teased, "My new friend, Destiny, is going to keep me company." Evie looked over and saw the brunette dancer that bore a striking semblance to herself."
"I see you are keeping that dream alive," Evie teased, "See you tomorrow." Sidney tugged at her hand and she went to move.
"See, I told you that I am going to wear you down, Rosita" he laughed.
"Back off, Seggy, back off," Sidney warned. He turned and tugged at Evie's hand. They made a beeline out of the club and made the quick walk to hotel across the street.
Within minutes, they were checked into the one bedroom suite with the view of the Strip. Evie paced nervously as Sidney poured more drinks. He looked at Evie and smiled. "I am nervous, Sidney," she whispered, " What if I don't know what to do?" Sidney laughed out loud. He doubled over in a fit of giggles and looked to find Evie studying his face.
He stood up, "I am sorry, Evie, but that is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard. Are you really concerned about whether you are going please her? Make her cum?" She stared before looking down. Sidney crossed to her and wrapped his arms around her, "Of course you are. Oh, Evie, there is nothing to worry about. Your tongue game is strong. Just remember how you like to be touched and licked then do the same."
Sidney sensed her apprehension and squeezed her tight "Say the word and I will shut it down. No questions asked. I will shut it down and get her out."
He reached down and lifted her chin, "You are about to rock her world. Go get undressed. She will be here soon."
Evie walked back into the room dressed in the hotel robe just as Roxie knocked on the door. Sidney kissed her gently before he answered. Roxie entered the suite. Sidney offered her a drink while Evie watched shyly. Roxie walked around the suite, "Nice room. You really pulled out all the stops. You know that you don't have to seduce me."
Evie smiled and walked over to the curvy blonde and kissed her cheek, "My Papi Chulo always spoils me. It is what he does."
Roxie looked over at Sidney who shrugged his shoulders. She smiled as she dropped her trench coat to reveal her nude body. "Ready to play?" Evie asked and dropped her robe as well.
ONE HOUR LATER
Sidney shut the door after paying Roxie. He turned to walk back into the bedroom of the suite. She rolled over onto her side and hummed softly. They had not spoken after Evie gave Sidney the signal that she was done. She had lost count of orgasms she had both given and received. She sat up as Sidney walked to the bed.
"Evie," He moaned as took off his shirt. Her fingers worked feverishly to free his throbbing cock from his pants. "I need you," he panted, "I need to be inside of you." She got on her hands and knees.. "Damn," He groaned as he slid into her.
"Papi, give it to me. I need you to give it to me," she moaned as he grabbed he hips roughly. His strokes were fast and frantic. He had spent two hours watching Evie fuck and get fucked in almost every imaginable way. The mental images flooded his mind as he pounded her hard and heavy. "Please," she pleaded, "Cum for me. Show me how much you liked watching it."
Sidney's usual chatty talk had been replaced by animalistic grunts and groans. His orgasm came quickly with overwhelmed him with the intensity. He whimpered as he collapsed onto her. Aftet a minute, he slid out and she rolled over. Sidney placed hjs head on her chest and her fingers instinctively went to his hair and stroked softly.
They clung to each other in stunned silence. Evie whispered finally, "Beso?' He looked up at her with a soft grin.
"Yes?" He answered.
"Are you still my Beso?" She questioned.
His eyes searched her face. She desperately tried to make it appear neutral but he could detect the anxiety hidden beneath the surface. He twisted his torso and pushed up on his elbows.
"I will always be YOUR Beso," he replied, "Nothing you did tonight changed that."
"Can i ask you something?" She spook meekly.
"Anything," he answered sweetly.
"Did you like it? Was it what you You imagined?' She probed.
"It was better than I imagined. You were in complete control. I liked watching you come undone from the spectator position. I saw new things I had never noticed before," he commented, "And you?
"It was different than I imagined. I liked it but it wasn't as good as playing with you." she blushed. He tilted his head and she added, "No love like with you." He kissed her softly. "The hottest part was watching you watch me. You were so turned on. I am surprised you weren't stroking yourself." She said.
"Are you really surprised, Mon Etoile?" He asked, "You know why though." She raised an eyebrow. "You're the only woman that sees that now. It is only for you," he smiled.
Evie ran her fingers down his belly, "Only for me?"
He took her hand and placed it lower, "You and only you. I don’t want anyone else."
"Show me, Beso" she purred, "I want you to show me again and again."
June 19th-NHL awards- Mandalay Bay Events Center
"Mr. Crosby, right this way" the public relations assistant instructed. Sidney let go of Evie's hand and took a step toward the red carpet before he turned back.
"I will go as quickly as possible," he spoke softly.
"Take your time" she smiled, "I will be right here."
He turned and looked down the red carpet. It was filled with couples posing for photos and players doing interviews. He spun around and marched back to Evie. He grabbed her head and pulled her towards the red carpet. "Come with me, Evie," he called back to her.
She stumbled slightly before righting herself before stammering, "Beso, are you sure? Don't you need to run it by someone? How do I look?"
Sidney led them to the first photo mark. He grabbed and spoke confidently, "Yes, I am sure I want to show off my future wife. Why do I need to run it by anyone? You are the most beautiful woman on earth. It is impossible for you to look anything but gorgeous. Now breathe and smile."
They turned together and faced the cameras. A wave of "Sid, Sid, Sid" hit them followed by "this way, this way." He led them to the second photo mark and they repeated the routine. "Sid, who is the girl?" Sidney smiled and ignored the question one time. "Come on Sid, who's the girl?" the photographers repeated.
Sid turned to Evie. She turned when she felt his gaze. They shared a smile before he turned back. "This is Evie, my girlfriend," he beamed.
They walked the remainder of the photography portion before pausing to wait there. The assistant asked quickly, "Evie, I need your last name. I am sure that I will get questions about it."
Evie gulped, "Montgomery. Evelyn Montgomery."
"Great. Now Mr. Crosby, you know the drill. I will be guiding you through each media station. Will Ms. Montgomery join you for the interviews?" The assistant quizzed.
Sidney smiled and squeezed her hand, "Yes- yes, she will."
Evie's head swiveled to him, "What? What am I supposed to say?"
Sidney caressed her cheek, "Stand, smile and look gorgeous. If they ask you a question, answer it. You are more articulate and witty than ninety five percent of the people attending."
For a moment, Evie forgot where they were and she leaned into his caress. The assistant cleared her throat. "Okay, first one up."
Through five interviews, Evie stood and listened to Sidney being interviewed as the consummate professional. He spoke about the early playoff exit, his thoughts of the season and hopes for the next season.
During the sixth interview, the subject of Sidney's European trip was broached. He spoke of his time with Mike, but absolutely beamed when he mentioned Evie joining him to travel through Bavaria and Switzerland. The reporter turned to Evie and asked, "What is it like to travel with road warrior like Sidney?"
"Well, this was certainly different than his typical travels so he was much more relaxed than normal. I think the fact there was zero chance of being checked into the boards helped," she joked.
"It was definitely the company- much prettier than my teammates," he laughed.
"I don't know. Letang is pretty damn pretty," Evie countered.
"True, true- sorry Tanger," Sidney smiled and pulled closer into his body.
The assistant interrupted and ushered them into their final interview. The male reporter peppered Sidney with the usual questions. The reporter then turned to Evie. "Tyler Seguin was bragging about beating Sid and Nate at golf yesterday. He did admit that your double eagle sealed the deal. Sidney is notorious for his competitive streak..How did he handle the loss?" He asked.
Evie paused and looked at Sidney before answering, "First, Tyler is being far too kind to me. Tyler secured the team win. My double-eagle sealed my win over Sidney." He playfully rolled his eyes. "In regards to Sidney’s passionate approach to any competition, he is working on limiting it to the ice. He handled his loss with much grace and humility," she continued.
"I won't let her play against me in the future," Sidney smiled.
The reporter asked, "You didn't choose her to be on your team,? Big mistake!"
"I know!" Sidney laughed.
"In his defense, he wasn't aware of my golf experience, particularly my state championship and scholarship to Tech," she interjected.
"You hustled ME!" Sidney exclaimed.
"There that's competitive spirit we all know and love," the reporter joked. Sidney blushed and the assistant ushered them away.
"That was great. You complement each other very well," the assistant gushed. "You'll head in now. I will come get for your part on stage," she instructed.
After their exit, the media turned to each other in a state of shock. Did the notoriously private Sidney Crosby not only walk the red carpet but also laugh and joke during interviews?
AFTER THE AWARDS
"Come on Evie" Sidney yelled from the bar, "We are doing shots!" She walked over and took the shot from his hand. Sidney raised his shot, "To my Star- Evie- I love you!!!"
Evie blushed and downed the shot. Sidney was uncharacteristically jovial thanks to 4 rounds of shots and 5 beers. So far, he had kept his horniness under control. The group had migrated from the events center to the casino.
Sidney picked up Evie and spun her around. "Evie, I have had the best time tonight," he said excitedly.
"Beso, I am so glad," she kissed his cheek.
"I love you, Mon étoile," he whispered into her ear, "I can't wait until you're my wife. I want you to be my wife."
"I know, Beso. I can't wait to be your wife either," she whispered as he squeezed her tighter.
Sidney looked around and his eyes lit up. "Wait,' he exclaimed, "We don't have to wait! We are in Vegas. We can get married right now."
Evie laughed, "Get married now? Are you serious?"
Sidney sat her feet back on the ground and squatted to look into her eyes, "Yes, let's do it. There is no reason to wait. I love you and you love me. Let's get married."
Evie looked around frantically. Her mind raced with a million different thoughts going in a million different directions. She turned and stared into Sidney's eyes. "I don't know, Beso," she said softly.
Sidney grabbed her hand and pulled her to the roulette table. "Let's bet. If we win, it's a sign to get married. If we don't win, we take another shot and go upstairs and fuck until the sun comes up," he proposed.
"What number and color?" She asked. She was half-convinced that this was the rantings of a drunk and horny man.
"29- it is my dad and Taylor's number. Red for Canada," he said matter-of-factly.
"Holy shit, Beso" she gasped, "Let's bet." Evie smiled at the impulsivity of the idea.
Sidney reached into his pocket and took a red, five dollar chip out. He placed it on the square as croupier called for bets. He spun the wheel and then spun the ball. It bounced around the wheel.
Sidney grabbed Evie's hand as they both watched the ball several more times before landing in the red 29 slot.
The croupier announced "29, red, odd'. Evie and Sidney both stared in disbelief before jumping up and down, "We won! We won!" Sidney yelled, "We're getting married!"
Evie yelled back, "What do we do now?"
He grabbed her hand and they raced to the VIP concierge desk, leaving the group in the dust. Evie paced excitedly as Sidney explained the situation. Within minutes, they were in a town car headed to the Clark County marriage bureau.
Together they snuggled and giggled in the back seat of the car. Evie hummed "Going to the Chapel" while Sidney googled twenty four wedding chapels. "Mon Etoile, do you want Elvis to marry us or we can do the mob wedding?" He asked.
She looked over at his phone, "Those are the only options?"
"They have traditional ceremonies too,"
"What do you prefer?" She asked.
"Elvis," He smiled.
"Sounds good," she answered as they pulled up to the marriage bureau.
Despite the late hour, there was a lobby full of couples waiting to apply for their marriage licenses. One of the perks of Nevada was the ability to obtain a marriage license the day of your ceremony. Sidney took a number. It was 87. They smiled to each other and they found a spot to wait.
Sidney looked around the room and observed the others waiting. Attire ranged from shorts and flip-flops to formal dresses. He looked at Evie in her green sequined dress with the split to her thigh. It wasn't exactly the wedding dress he had been envisioning since Valentine’s Day.
He remembered the ballroom at the Fairmont and how beautifully Adriana had decorated it. The memory of their dance to "At Last" made him smile. He looked over at Evie.
She was looking around the room as well. Evie watched the people. There some couples huddled together, ready to begin their new lives. Other couples were surrounded by a few friends. A few, though, were surrounded by large groups of families and friends. Evie's mind drifted to Adriana and Mateo. She had assumed that they would accompany her to pick out her dress.
Then she thought of Trina and Troy. What would they think about missing their son's wedding? She knew that, obviously, her parents would not be there but she looked forward to Troy's reassuring presence to ease her nerves. He was, after all, the closest thing she had to a father.
She felt the tightness in her chest and the lump form in her throat. Tears formed quickly. "Number 87" the clerk called. Sidney squeezed her hand and she looked up.
"Evie?" Sidney whispered.
She opened her mouth to speak and closed it. She looked around again and spoke quietly, "I don't want to get married tonight."
He blinked and squeezed her hand. She spoke again, "I don't want to get married here. I am sorry, Beso. I know we won the bet, and then got your number and those were signs."
He kissed her, "Me either."
"Why?" She questioned.
"I want the big wedding. You deserve the princess dress. I want to watch you walk down the aisle," he asserted.
"Oh" she said.
"And you?" He asked.
"I want our family there- your mom, dad and sister. I want to dance with Adriana and Mateo. I want your team there and Nate," she explained.
"Number 87" the clerk called again.
They turned and looked. Sidney stood up and held out his hand. She placed her hand in his hand. Together they walked out of the lobby to the sidewalk. Sidney suddenly stopped and pulled her to him.
"I love you, Evie," he spoke softly before he kissed her. "I DO want to marry you, just not tonight."
"I know, Beso," she returned his kiss.
"What should we do now?" He asked.
"There is always plan B," she laughed.
"Which was?" He asked.
"Go back to the suite and fuck all night," she reminded him.
"Oh yeah," he laughed, "Plan.B works."
THE NEXT MORNING-June 20th- Sidney and Evie's hotel suite
Sidney woke up and immediately reached for Evie. Her spot in the bed was cold to the touch. He raised up on his elbows and searched the room for her. "Mon Etoile?" He called without an answer. Slowly he got out of bed and walked into other room. He found her curled up on the gray velvet couch.
"Hey," He said as he walked to the couch, "What time it it?
She quickly wiped her tears and turned to him, "It's a little after eight."
He sat next to her, "Evie, why are you crying?" He placed his hands on her cheeks, "Are you upset about last night?"
She shook her head, "The almost wedding?" He nodded yes. She leaned her cheek into his right hand, "No, it was a fun little adventure but we made the right decision."
"Then what is it?" He asked gently.
"I just got sad when I remembered that it's our last day together," she sighed.
They were set to leave that afternoon on a flight back to Pittsburgh. Sidney would leave early tomorrow morning to head to Nova Scotia. They would be apart for two weeks before Evie flew up for the weekend. After ten full days together, the separation would be especially painful.
"I understand. Can I make a comment?" He whispered.
"Of course," she whispered back.
"Tomorrow is going to bad, but today doesn't have to be," he looked into her eyes. "We had bad day before left each other last month," he smiled, "I don't want to repeat that. I have you for another twenty hours. Let's make the most of it."
"Okay, Beso," she returned his smile, "Twenty four more hours together. No more tears."
"That's my good girl," he teased.
"Mmmmm, Beso," she laid back and pulled him on top of her.
"Yes, Evie?" He kissed her neck.
"You know what that does to me," she moaned, "Oh God, what you do to me."
"What do you want me to do to you?" He panted as he spread her legs with his massive thigh.
"Anything you want, Beso," she whimpered as her hips rocked against his thigh.
"I am going to fuck you again and then treat you like my princess all day," he whispered into her ear, "That's what I want to do to you."
"Yes,please," she replied as he slid into her wetness.
"I love you my princess," he reminded her as he fucked her deeply but slowly.
"Not as much as I love you," she kissed, "Not as much as I love you."
Later, after a leisurely bath, Sidney and Evie dressed casually for a stroll down the strip. They held hands as they walked through the Luxor Casino. They went out and made their way down Las Vegas Blvd.
At a souvenir shop on the Strip, Evie picked out three Christmas ornaments for their trees in Pittsburgh and Nova Scotia. Sidney selected a picture frame for Evie’s office.
At lunch time, Sidney surprised Evie by taking to the Eiffel Tower restaurant for a late brunch. Over their waffles and bellinis, Sidney described Paris to her. He excitedly explained all of the placed he wanted to take her.
She grinned, "Did you think of me the entire time?"
He kissed her hand, "Evie, with the exception of when I am on the ice during a game, I am ALWAYS thinking of you."
"Evie……" he whispered, "Do you want me to take you there next summer? On our honeymoon?"
She smiled and shrugged. He paid the check and they left the restaurant. Sidney tried to entice her into a shopping spree at Caesars Palace forum shops, but she politely declined. Sidney raised an eyebrow, "Princess….."
"Mr. Crosby, do I need to remind you of the five thousand dollars that you spent in addition to the club tab?" She reminded him.
"Princess, you will let me spoil you," he playfully grabbed her hand and smacked her ass.
She grinned, "If you insist."
One hour later, they had significant damage on his black card at Agent Provocateur and Christian Louboutin. On the way back out to the Strip, they passed the Jimmy Choo store. Evie walked passed without pausing. She was nearly a full store away when Sidney called her name. She turned around and saw him staring at the shoe display.
She walked back slowly, "Beso, do you see some shoes you like?"
He pointed a pair of evening pumps
.
They were a modified Mary Jane style covered in crystals and small pearls. The strap across the top of the foot was covered in larger pearls. He looked up at Evie and smiled. "They're stunning. Don't you think Evie?" He questioned.
She stepped closer, "They are gorgeous, Beso." Delicately, she picked up the shoe and examined it carefully. The craftsmanship was impeccable. She glanced at the almost three thousand dollar price tag and put it down swiftly. She turned to walk away.
"You don't want them, Evie?" He asked.
"No, I don't," she stated.
"Why not?" He quizzed.
"They are three thousand dollar shoes. I don't need three thousand dollar shoes, especially those shoes," she answered tersely.
"Why especially these shoes?" He asked with confusion in his voice.
She stepped close to him and whispered, "Those are bridal shoes. I don't need bridal shoes- much less, three thousand dollar bridal shoes."
"I think you should try them on," he suggested.
"Beso, are you listening to me?" She pleaded. He tilted his head and looked legitimately confused. "There are limits to how much spoiling I can take. It gives me anxiety to spend money like this," she explained, "You love to do it. I get that, but there is only so much I can accept before I start feeling like a gold digger."
"Evie," he interjected, "You are not a gold digger."
"I said FEEL like a gold digger," she explained, "It has been a lot over the past couple of months- the shopping spree, the trip to Europe, the trip here, etc."
"Okay, I understand," he bent down and kissed her gently, "I have no limits and you do. I respect your limits."
"The shoes are amazing though" she whispered.
"So when does the spoiling limit reset? A day? week? Inquiring minds want to know," he teased.
"I am walking away now," she smiled "but it's longer than a day, shorter than a year." She turned and walked away, leaving Sidney literally holding the shopping bags.
"It's okay, Princess. I've got these," he called to her as she sashayed away from him.
"I have faith you in Mr. Crosby," she called back.
Fifteen minutes later, they stood on the Strip debating what to do next. Sidney lobbied for the leisurely gondola ride while Evie lobbied in favor of the Rollercoaster at New York, New York hotel. In the end, the cuddle possibilities won out.
As the gondola pushed off from the indoor "dock" Evie leaned back against Sidney’s chest. Both stretched their legs out in front of them. Sidney’s hand found Evie's hand and caressed it with his thumb. They hummed as they enjoyed the leisurely ride.
"So who is a better ride partner, Beso? Mike or me?" She joked.
"Definitively you, but Venice had better views," he laughed. "Maybe we can go back next summer," he added.
Evie didn't respond at first. He felt a distinct chill come over her, but she kept a steady and calm surface demeanor.
"Or not," he said quietly. She sighed deeply. "What's going on Evie? I thought we were going to have no tears today," he spoke softly.
"I am not sad, Beso. I am frustrated," she said meekly.
"Why?" He asked, "What did I do?"
"It's not something that you did intentionally," she sighed again. 'Let's just talk about it another time."
"No, tell me," he insisted.
She sat up and twisted around to face him. "Are we engaged or not?" She blurted out quickly.
Sidney blinked and paused before speaking, "You know we aren't, Evie."
"Then why do you act like we are? Between the "almost wedding" last night, all the honeymoon talk and you trying to buy me bridal shoes, it is confusing as hell." She spoke quickly, "I get it. You want me to know your intentions. You want to make sure that I know that you aren't going to dump me like Thad. But it makes me feel confused and disappointed."
"Confused? Disappointed?" He questioned.
"Do we need to book a venue? I mean, you keep talking about next summer but things have to be planned, Beso," she rambled, "Should I start looking at dresses? I don't want to be the girl at the bridal soon with no ring. It makes me feel desperate and pushy"
"Look, you want me to marry you, ask me to marry you" she stated, "Until then, I don't want to talk about it anymore." Sidney grabbed her hand and squeezed. "You want to talk about our future life- great, but no more wedding talk until we are officially engaged."
"I didn't mean to confuse you. I hate that you feel that way," he said as he pulled him to his chest.
"It wasn't intentional, Beso. I know it wasn't," she nuzzled her face into his chest, "I feel better now that I said something."
The gondola pulled back to the dock and Evie groaned lightly. Sidney reached into his wallet and pulled out some cash. "One more time around, please," Then he pulled her onto his chest. She smiled and snuggled into him.
"So tell me what there is to do in Nova Scotia when I get there," she asked.
Sidney smiled and started telling about summer in his hometown.
June 21st- Pittsburgh International Airport
Evie stood to the side of the check-in desk at the Pittsburgh International as Sidney checked his luggage for his flight to Halifax. He turned and walked to her. He wrapped his arms around her petite frame and lifted her into a tight hug.
"Beso? How much longer?" She whispered.
"I need to get through security in the next five minutes," he replied calmly.
"Okay," she replied softly.
"Baby Girl, no tears, remember," he reminded her.
"Yes, Daddy" she smiled and kissed his cheek, "Will you hold me until it's time?"
"Yes, Baby Girl," he squeezed her tight, "Tell me what was your favorite part of our adventure? What will you remember it forever?"
"I'll remember all of it forever, but my favorite part was you. You will always be my favorite part of life," she kissed him softly.
"You stole my answer, Evie. You stole my answer," He kissed her deeply until it was time to go. "Evie, it's time," he said in a hushed tone.
"Okay, have a safe flight. Text me when you get home. Give lots of hugs to your family until I get there," she hugged him tight.
He walked through the security gate and turned to wave to her. She waved back and blew a kiss. He dramatically caught it and drew his hands to his heart.
She turned to go. "Two weeks," she thought to herself, "I can do two weeks."

Filming has commenced in Leeds and Belgium on the six-parter from Professor T producer Eagle Eye Drama, which follows Tomlinson’s Evie and Pete (Harry Potter star Alfred Enoch), who move into an upscale neighborhood and find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. They find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny (Heughan) and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka (Jessica De Gouw), but after Danny and Evie share a passionate night together, there is trouble ahead.
The U.S. streamer and UK network, who never have co-produced together, described The Couple Next Door as a “psychological drama, exploring the stultifying claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your darkest desires.”
Tomlinson is best known for playing Demelza Poldark opposite Aidan Turner across five seasons of hit BBC drama Poldark. Other credits include Stephen Merchant comedy-drama The Outlaws and Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of David Nicholls’ One Day.
Scottish actor Heughan is gearing up for a seventh season of Starz hit Outlander, in which he plays Jamie Fraser, while he is also starring in Priyanka Chopra Jonas rom-com Love Again with Celine Dion – set for May release. He generated headlines recently when his memoir revealed how a brutal rape scene in Outlander Season 1 had impacted him negatively.
Marcella writer David Allison is penning The Couple Next Door, Professor T‘s Dries Vos is directing, and EPs are Jo McGrath, Walter Iuzzolino and Alison Kee.
The thriller is based on Dutch series New Neighbours and feeds into Eagle Eye’s strategy of turning European hits into shows for the major English-language markets, following Channel 4’s Suspect, which is based on a Danish series, and ITV’s Professor T, which is based on a show from Belgium.
The show was commissioned by Channel 4’s Caroline Hollick and Rebecca Holdsworth. EVP Programming Karen Bailey is overseeing The Couple Next Door for Starz, and it will be distributed by Beta Film.

pretty lines i compiled (from my own work) for a friend and decided i might as well post here
As embarrassment made room for indignation, when Marco looked at him again, it was with a scorching fire that burned hotter, much more destructive than anything Tom could ever hope to muster.
- laugh at the pain (it'll hurt the same) -- Star Vs The Forces Of Evil
And I know I'm chaining you to the ground
But you being gone is the loneliest sound
- Ducky, I'm so Lucky! -- Odd Girl Out
Her head is bent and her soft hair is falling around her face. Evie has the physical urge to tuck it back and tilt Mal's chin up. Make Mal want her again. It was a terrible possessive thing that was created on the Isle as a means to survive. Choose to love one thing, one person, and never let it go. Your only guilty pleasure, your chosen strand of Good.
- and nothing can stay the same (it's growing pains) --- Descendants
Minthe hated Hades.
She hated the way he would watch her shower, eyes burning with an intensity that made her claustrophobic. She hated the way he sometimes wouldn't even be looking at her body, he was just looking through her. She hated how pathetic and ugly that made her feel, so much that she would give him a 'come hither' look, only feeling relief when he starts to strip.
- give me back my girlhood (it was mine first) --- Lore Olympus
They never protect the face,' she had said, easily separating him from her, classifying him as the rest. As the weak. He remembered when she would take note of others, setting them both apart loyally.
-- in a league of her own -- Carmen Sandiego
The party was several steps removed, loud and dazzling but also so far away. It was not tempting when the alternative was a rendezvous with Carmen
-- set every part aflame/this is not a game --- Carmen Sandiego
Then Julia begins to cry (and Carmen has never seen her cry before. Her eyes and nose are an angry red, and her face is contorted. Carmen loves her and she made her cry. Julia covers her face and breathes harshly. She doesn't look like a woman who was just proposed to. She looks like she had been slapped across the face.) Julia says, "We can't do this. You know we can't. Think about it ."
--- now i've read all the books besides your bed --- Carmen Sandiego
The words fall out like he has been sick for weeks, and it's only now that he can expel all the toxins in his body. He remembers when he was younger and would get sick a bit more often, how Mama would give him water and encourage him as he emptied himself into a toilet, assuring him that the toxins and germs would leave his body this way. This was before they got their gifts before Julieta could heal, and before Bruno became stigmatized.
--- i need to go (i don't know why) --- Encanto
She knew she was also beautiful and talented, just in a different way. (Jade was a roaring inferno, pretty like hellfire was pretty. Art incarnate. Tori was far off sunset, picturesque and easy to appreciate.)
--- unthought, unsaid, a fire burning red --- Victorious
And Beck just grinned up at him softly, soft like his hair was soft, and his voice when he spoke to André in a low tone. Soft in a way that made you ache and no more. He was a vision with the lights playing across him, all handsome face and soft-to-the-touch hair.
-- want you all to myself --- Victorious
It almost felt like peeling off a bandaid, as if the gravity between them had made itself tangible and possible through skin.
-- imagine being loved by me -- harry potter
It was crushing the way freeing things were crushing. The squeezing your hands out of cuffs, the soaring through cold water, taking a crown off your head. Killing your tyrannical father
-- Let's Not Fight Fate This Time --- DC Super Hero Girls (2019)
All at once, the conquest seemed all the more dangerous. Much more at risk but also — he never wanted it more. Is this how pirates go mad and senile? Overwhelmed and consumed by all this want? Constantly reaching for what is so close and so obviously there for the taking but still so incredibly far.
That makes more sense.
People judge them too harshly. They don’t understand what it’s like to be consumed.
-- you can't live a lie (after you've tasted the truth)--- DC Super Hero Girls (2019)
She's beautiful, Agatha said, but it sounded nearly like an insult.
-- Trapped In A Bottle -- The School for Good And Evil
That's why Alberto got his own category.
With a billion little subcategories and post-its, and side notes because- like the sky- Alberto Scorfano is limitless and infinite. From his eyes to his habits to his preferences to his fears to his passions to his talents to his hair to his attitude to his smile he is something that Luca has studied and admired to an almost painful extent.
-- All The Stars We Steal From The Nigh Sky (will never be enough)
Right ," and there's definitely an odd note in Tamaki's voice then.
Kyoya can imagine why. He knows why. It's odd for them to speak as strangers, bound by laws of civility and utterly unfamiliar. Everything they knew about each other was assumed or heard, and nothing was told or shared.
--blessed by the mystery of love -- Ouran High School Host Club
If Tamaki had entertained jealousy, it was always under a rose-tinted light. Jealousy was abstract to him in the way that poverty was. He understood that, fundamentally, it was not a good thing, but he also knew there was beauty in the moment that stemmed from it, and that’s what he liked to focus on.
--- put a little love on me--- Ouran High School Host Club

✼. THRU SPACE 'N TIME | EXORDIUM.
NOW PLAYING: michaela sommers signs with alfa romeo. ✼. view:⠀masterlist⠀⸻⠀join the taglist⠀⸻⠀request.
✼. OCTOBER 12, 2018 — Michaela Sommers has secured a one-year contract at Alfa Romeo that will see her make her Formula One debut during the 2019 season.
The 18-year-old Australian is currently racing in the Formula Two Championship and is set to be the presumed champion, a title secured after the Grand Prix in Sochi. Sommers' signing comes with a piece of historical significance. As a signed driver, guaranteed a drive in F1, she would be the first woman to compete in a Grand Prix in the 21st century, only the second after Lella Lombardi.
Despite a slew of negative press surrounding a particularly tense response to a journalist's "misogynistic" question at the beginning of the season, Sommers has turned out a stunning season for Prema Racing. Having led the Drivers' Championship since the Austrian Grand Prix in July, many have questioned why the signing has come so late considering the Australian's dominance. In a short message posted to her Twitter in August, Sommers called for fans to cease speculation as she was "carefully considering all options that best align with [her] goals and priorities".
"There is no question Michaela will secure an F1 seat for the 2019 season," said Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner during a press conference in Spa after the driver secured another double win. The Brit continued, "The real question is the personalities at play. She's got a lion of a manager behind her, and some opinions of her own. So, she will drive, but where and how long? That remains to be seen."
The principal's comments were brushed off by Sommers who joked, "We still listen to Christian Horner?" in the media pen at Monza the following weekend. The response drew amused chuckles from George Russell and Alex Albon - both of whom have yet to secure F1 seats for 2019 - as well as members of the media.
Newly appointed Alfa Romeo Racing team boss, Fred Vasseur, is more than pleased with the signing stating, "It is always good to add a new driver to the lineup. Mickey is so eager to learn and we are positive she will produce good results with the senior guidance of Raikonnen - who she has worked with previously as a Ferrari Reserve."
While many have taken to social media to voice their support for the signing, others have questioned the timing of the historic moment. Feminist commentators have even stated that the FIA and Alfa Romeo officials should be "ashamed" of the amount of time it took to sign another woman to an F1 seat. Another point of controversy lies in an alleged clause of Sommers' contract in which the Australian is prohibited from making any "political statements that may cause agitation amongst patrons of the sport".
✹.⠀⠀،،⠀COMMENTS.
anonymous commenter: girl on the grid, we won!!!
anonymous commenter: the lengths this sport will go to in order to appease the woke leftist feminists never fails to disappoint me. shame on the fia and alfa romeo for succumbing to the pressure.
anonymous reply: mate what? she's leading the f2 championship with one race left and it's not close lmfao
anonymous commenter: proud of her for taking the high road on that horner comment. next time i need them in the boxing ring though. peace and love
anonymous commenter: foaming at the mouth to know what j*s verstappen thinks about this

Have you ever collected any American Girl dolls? I never did, but I used to get the catalogue. Their furniture is so cool and well made and it FASCINATES MEEEEEE
ignore that I'm answering this way late and after I already posted one of my dolls
I just started collecting them over the past few months! I'd been interested in them for a long time though. It's kind of a long story. I used to get the catalogs from 2002 to 2014(? somewhere around there? it was definitely a long time and I was legally an adult when they finally stopped coming) and I would look through it cover to cover multiple times, imagining what I would do if I had every doll, outfit, accessory, and furniture piece that I wanted. The names of particular items are still ingrained in my mind to this day (makes ebay searching very easy, lol). In elementary school, I read nearly all of the AG historical books from the library. I finally got a doll in 2007, Julie when she was first released, because I've always loved the 1970s.
However, even though I loved the doll, she initially didn't ignite that "spark" for me that I get with favorite toys, and I still don't know why. I loved her style, loved her story, still loved looking at the catalogs, but I just didn't know how to bond with her. My theory is that I was just at an awkward age (I was almost 12) and was transitioning from playing with dolls in a kiddie way to playing with them in older collector ways, but since I wasn't used to having an AG doll, it wasn't as simple as my never-faltering career as a Barbie collector since age two. I did try making more clothes for her a few times, and they were good for my age at the time, but I made mistakes and that frustrated me. She kinda just sat there and I eventually stored her away.
Fast forward to August 2022!! I go to an annual doll expo near me, and this is the first year they were able to have it since 2019, so I was stoked to be back and explore what was for sale. One table had some AG clothes for sale that I recognized, and seeing them in person instead of on a page was surreal, getting to see the actual size and quality, and I was like "...Okay...I could totally get into this...actually I DEFINITELY want something American Girl before I leave this place today." I walked around a bit more, and on another table stood my lookalike doll, Just Like You #23, one of the first AG dolls I ever wanted (along with Molly and Samantha). I stopped in my tracks and said "I've wanted this doll since I was a kid," and the lady behind the table says, "Well now's your chance!" I'm debating at this point, because the tag says $55 and I wasn't planning on spending that much on a singular item, but this is a piece of Evie history and I'm so drawn towards this doll, how can I not get her, and the lady must have read my mind, because she goes, "How much is she...55, no that's not right, you can have her for $30!" and now I'm about to start crying, and I'm like YES I'LL TAKE HER!
So I got my Just Like You doll, brought her home and curled her hair to match mine (AG why u no curly hair in the 2000s???), and I was instantly OBSESSED. The thing about me is that I can't love a thing without becoming a collector, so I had an urge to find even more. I discovered that they can go for pretty decent prices on the secondhand market, and I made a whole mental list of dolls/outfits/etc that I eventually want to find.
About a month ago was when I got the idea to make my custom Marinette doll; since she's such an adorable character, I thought she'd translate well to an AG doll. I spent weeks searching resell sites for the perfect doll, and I finally came across a Just Like You #30 that had had her eyes swapped to blue ones, and I knew she was the one. A few days before she arrived in the mail, I dug in our storage boxes for my Julie doll, and I brought her back into my room. This time, I felt the connection. Maybe all these years, I just needed some friends for her <3
I have three American Girl dolls sitting in front my bed now, and they're perfect for me. I'm looking forward to many future adventures, making custom clothes for them with my adult sewing skills, and adding even more of them to the family. So, that's been my journey into AG collecting!
