Endless!Sans is a character that belongs to a broken alternate universe of Undertale. Due to some leading factors in his backstory he is able to exist outside of these AUs and interact with them.

What is an Alternate Universe (AU)? An Alternate Universe (AU) is when someone creates a spin-off of the original storyline. Usually this means many possibilities, concepts, settings, abilities, personalities, even social differences or standings. Sometimes it has many inclusions of the original cast from Undertale or additions to those characters. The collection of these AUs are called the Multiverse.

Can Endless!Sans travel throughout the Multiverse? Endless!Sans can create portals in a digital fashion consisting of glitching and distortion to access other universes. Even some that are otherwise unreachable by normal means due to his code ability. However, due to the complications of some universes this may not be possible due to the interference of other creators.

Is Endless!Sans part of the Bad Sanses? Yes, because of his hatred for humans and resets he tends to work for Nightmare. This allows him to be able to execute his plans for all timelines to stop resetting even if the results are negative timelines.

What is Endless!Sans’ weapon of choice? Endless!Sans uses the knife that his Chara had when they completed their multiple Genocide Routes. This is mainly due to his low production of magic after his soul was shattered and corrupted by hatred. Still he has other abilities that will be explained further in this FAQ.

Official Design Sheet

The following information is base on Endless!Sans’ backstory. This is simply a guide to his official outfit and character design.

Endless’ outfit is overall gray-scale due to a factor in his backstory which turns his clothes into gray-scale. This happens with all his clothes. On average it takes anywhere between 5mins to 60mins for clothes to completely turn gray-scale.

There is a hidden scarf that is extremely torn and near gone under all of his clothes that once belonged to his Papyrus. He is extremely attached and will not let anyone touch it.

Layers go as follows: Hidden torn Scarf of Papyrus, White T-Shirt, Black Shorts with white lines down the side, Vest-Hoodie with fluffy hood and pockets, sometimes wears White Socks, and his fluffy Slippers.

Red rimmed glasses for when his left (red) eyelight is not active due to his poor vision. He hates wearing them in front of others so it is unlikely he is to wear them at all even if he is near completely blind without his left eyelight.

There are dust markings on his hands and feet do not come off. No matter what it is bound to him as a reminder of his sins; this is mainly due to the Karma (KR) that he has inflicted on himself in his battle with Frisk/Chara.

Endless!Sans has three tongues that are almost tentacle like in nature. However, he can force his magic to only summon one though it takes more magic to do this since he has to force it to make a singular tongue.

Any ecto-parts that are summoned are bright red to represent the determination he has within him. Very rarely can blue or yellow ecto be seen sparkling within it to represent the original Sans but this is an extremely rare occurrence.

During times of stress or upon his death there will appear a “Death Slash” across his chest where Chara killed him on many Genocide runs. Often it will “leak” with determination.

Endless!Sans is also a glitch. Often a few white glitches will appear or he will randomly distort. This is due to his messed up coding.

Why are his eyelights two different colors? The right eyelight is white due to being the original Sans he use to be. However, it is often faded cause of his backstory which caused his right eye to become almost completely blind. His left eyelight is fully red with a black center. The red is due to Determination that fuels his magic. Sometimes on very rare occasions the blue or yellow from his original magic can shine in.

Is there a reason why his bones are black? Due to absorbing Chara/Frisk’s soul it turned his own soul black due to the hatred within Chara. Over time in his Save Screen his bones began to turn black and the dust stains on his hands became more noticeable.

Does this mean his blush is red? Endless!Sans’ blush is red. On rare occurrences it can have ‘freckles’ that appear throughout his face. His magic also smells like Chocolate covered Strawberries.

✧ Personality and Traits ✧

Small Warning: Mental illness will be spoken about. Research has been done about these illness as well as the creator themselves suffers from a few of them. Please note that these are not used to insult anyone with these disabilities. The following are all canon personalities and traits for Endless!Sans:

Endless!Sans would be best described as socially awkward when it comes to others (this excludes any Papyruses/Papyri).

Endless!Sans is also a extremely passionate chef. There is few things that bring him joy in the multiverse and cooking is one of them. He is very proud of his cooking skills. Described by their creator as the Gordon Ramsey of Sans.

Endless!Sans is a hypocrite. Do as he says not as he does.

Endless!Sans constantly is under the effects of Karma (KR) which made him very hard to communicate rationally with.

Endless!Sans hates humans. There is nothing that can be said or done that will change his mind about such things. He blames mostly Frisk/Chara for everything which often leads him to tracking them down in each universe and killing them without mercy.

Endless!Sans tends to avoid harming any Papyrus/Papyri in any universe.

Endless!Sans can sew and crochet. Though he isn’t very good at crocheting. He tends to rip his clothes a lot by accident so he has learned to sew them up without it looking like patchwork.

Endless!Sans absolutely hates Ink!Sans, and highly dislikes Killer!Sans (however is willing to work with him due to joining Nightmare!Sans’ crew).

Endless!Sans will glitch out or become distorted if he is stressed out.

Endless!Sans has mild Haphephobia, Chronic PTSD, Manic Depressive, and Anxiety. These are the confirmed disorders he suffers. However, he avoids seeking professional help and prefers to run away from his problems instead of facing it.

Endless!Sans will often visit surface worlds just to look at the cities and skies. This is due to never having a true Good Ending. He tends to hate going to the underground unless he is ordered too go there.

Endless!Sans cannot die permanently. Due to the high amounts of Determination he continues to absorb from many universes he persists even after death and will “respawn” back in his Save Screen in Endlesstale. However, it can take anywhere between an hour or a year before he is able to escape the Save Screen.

�� Backstory Information ✧

The backstory is currently in the works. However, please refer to this guide.

What is the original name of Endless’ AU called? Endless and Endlesstale is not the original names that he had went by. However, it has not been revealed what these original names were.

What happened to Endless’ Soul? Is it really just a shard? When Endless absorbed the human soul of Chara it almost killed him. He managed to get to the Save Screen with his determination before he completely dusted. From there certain events occur before his his bones turn black.

How did he escape his Save Screen? Often Ink!Sans would visit to see if something new happened to Endless’ story. However, one day the artist spoke about a reset that happened in a universe he had visited which set Endless into a rage. They fought briefly before Ink tried to just run away. However, not realizing how quick Endless was Endless had tackled him at the moment of Ink using his paint for teleportation. From there he completely glitched out and ended up separated and in a part of the Mutliverse where he discovers his portal ability.

What happened to Endlesstale? Before Ink!Sans showed up Endless had shattered the Reset button completely. Destroying all chances of any new game to be played. The last save is the only save file which is after Endless killed the human.

When was Endless created? October 14th, 2019 was the official date of creation.

Is Endlesstale accessible to other Sanses? Only few of the AU Sanses have the ability required to get into this AU. Ink!Sans being one of them and unknown if anyone else has been able.

What is Endless’ birthday and age? August 1st is his official birthday. Endless is 23 years old canonically. However, he isn’t sure on his birthday this is just what he remembers.

Official height for Endless? Endless is slightly taller by the original Sans by an inch.

What are some of Endless’ abilities in battle? Unfortunately, Endless lost most of his abilities that a normal Sans would have after absorbing the human soul. Such as he does not typically summon bone attacks. Either he cannot or he chooses not too. That has yet to be explained. Endless is actually very quick. Faster than most Sanses due to glitching. He is not limited to one reality but he tends not to use his abilities due to being rather lazy. Unless it comes to human hunting. So, he rather just die and respawn back in his own AU if things are dire enough. The ability to summon his Gaster Blasters is vastly cut short. He can choose to summon many at once that do little damage as well doesn’t have the KR ability attached, or one big one that is highly powerful. Both options slowly take away his magic usage over time. Instead he relies on his his weapon of choice; knives. Though he is outmatched by Killer!Sans when it comes to blades (except Endless’ knifework in the kitchen). Another reason he cannot stand him.

Is Endless ambidextrous? Yes, he is actually!

What are Endless’ hobbies other than working for Nightmare? Endless tends to enjoy cooking even though he is not so good at baking. He has gotten rather good at it and perfected many of the Papyruses/Papyri’s recipes. Aside from cooking he enjoys memes, dark humor, sewing or crocheting, stargazing, or watching cooking shows.

Does Endless sleep? No, he tends to be wired on coffee, whiskey, and pure will-power. This is due to his haunting nightmares. He will never get a restful sleep. Instead he just tends to busy himself with work.

✧ Bad Sanses ✧

This is some information about how he acts with the Bad Sanses. Please note that you are free to make your own Head-Canons. All information provided is just his canon to Endlesstale.

How did Endless become employed by Nightmare!Sans? When Nightmare was invading a timeline one day he came across Endless killing humans but leaving monsters alive. This generated much negativity, naturally, Nightmare was very curious about him. When Nightmare realized that Endless was a walking negativity emitter due to his constant state of Karma (KR) he and Endless struck up a deal.

What is Endless opinions of all the Bad Sanses? Going down the list... Killer!Sans - Endless dislikes him. His complete disregard for killing anyone and everyone makes him sick. The fact that Killer has no remorse about who he kills especially when it comes to a Papyrus makes Endless boil in rage. Dust!Sans - Even though Dust hurts Papyrus’ his remorse for killing his own brother still allows some tolerance of the matter. Though he still keeps his guard up at all times around him. Horror!Sans - These two actually get along fairly well. Due to Endless being a chef he tends to make food for Horror and even present it to Crooks (Horror’s Papyrus). This makes them get along fairly well. Especially after a few puns are shared. Cross!Sans - One of the only ones that Endless could become friends with to some degree. They both has the same taste in humor as well both are friends with Epic!Sans. (bonus) Error!Sans - These two, while having similar goals and very much common interest, they do not seem to get along. It also depends if Error!Sans knows about Endless’ past. This would cause the destroyer to either hate him entirely or avoid him.

Cutlass fish (aka ‘galchi’)

Hi!

I don’t cook fish often, but here we go!

This is a product from H-mart, & it was purchased a while ago; it just became one of those ‘forgotten’ items in the freezer lol but anyway, I have never eaten this product before, nor have I cooked it before. Cutlass fish is this slender & loooong blue/silvery skin fish, & bcos of its morphology, Koreans call it “knife fish” bcos it resembles a knife blade.

Yes, it is a little past its BB date but that’s ok :P The instructions say you can either pan fry or bake the fish but the cooking time varies bcos the pieces may have different thickness.

Here’s what it looks like inside. There is a 2nd layer of packaging, & within it, 3 pieces of fish. There was 1 piece in particular (the bottom piece) that was about 3/4 the thickness of the other 2 pieces, so I guess.. . expect some variation when you open the package.

I decided to make 2 separate dishes with the fish. The 1st one being a soup/stew. When I was in Seoul’s Namdaemun Market, I ate at a restaurant in the “galchi jeorim alley”, which is an area in the market with MANY restaurants specializing in galchi jeorim (braised galchi stew). Literally, every restaurant was making the same dish but they each have their own version of it. This kind of fish has a lot of very thin & delicate bones, so when I went, I noticed that there weren’t that many foreigners - like I guess it’s not a highly sought-after “must eat” dish for visitors(?). In any case, the recipe is simple!

I didn’t use the traditional ingredients bcos I didn’t have any on hand but this turned out quite nicely. I used my homemade radish kimchi instead of fresh radish, cabbage, & green onions (garlic not in photograph). For sweetness, onions are generally used but I used cabbage instead.

Put everything in a pot with some sugar & soy sauce. Depending on how much you’re making, the amounts will vary. I was making a 1-person portion for myself so I used 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp of sugar, several tbsp of the radish kimchi juice, & I also scooped in a little bit of gochujang (like half a tsp). After it boils for a bit, I added thin glass noodles (japchae noodles). Cover & cook at low-medium heat.

*note: if you don’t want your fish to disintegrate in the soup, leave on top of all your other things & just let it mmmm... sorta steam-cook in the pot.

The cabbage & fish cooked pretty fast, I was waiting for the glass noodles to finish cooking; altogether, this dish took ~15mins to make. I really wanted the noodles to soak up the flavours!

Here’s the 2nd dish: I just pan-fried it with a little bit of oil; approx. 5mins per side. I didn’t add anything else to this bcos the fish is already seasoned.

My meal :D

A lot of bones as expected; it was exactly like how I had remembered it. My parents, like the local Koreans I dined with, were able to eat the bones. I, however, cannot... *shrugs* my soup was well-flavoured. I wasn’t surprised or anything since the gochujang & soy sauce are things I use so often. I liked it! The pan-fried version was good too; the fish wasn’t too salty or anything. I personally liked the pan-fried version more bcos the texture of the fish was different than that of the fish in the soup. The fish had a tougher & firm texture when pan-fried, & in the soup, it was softer, & I also found it harder to separate the meat from the bones. Whereas the meat & bone easily separated from each other when pan-fried.

Figs and Charlotte

It’s 2018 and I am visiting my good old friend in a small remote village in the south of France. I haven’t seen her in years and can’t wait to spend some quality time with her. She’s staying with her kids at her parent’s place so I booked myself into a small, and as it turns out quite cute, B&B close to her place. The village is famous for its clay pottery and so it happens that the B&B is in an old pottery fabric. Everything is the color of terracotta. My friend’s parents grow grapes and have a lovely fruit garden. We go pick peaches, apricots and figs fresh from the tree each day … On the morning of the second day, I take my plate full of fresh fruit and walk to the little terrace in the backyard of my room to sit in the sun and enjoy my fruits. Walking up the concrete stairs to the little terrace, I catch a glimpse of a guy lying on the ground, earphones in his ears, doing yoga. I hesitate for a moment but then decide to go back. I would basically need to step over him in order to get to the chairs. Way too shy and respectful of his privacy for that.

Saturday night. The kids are at sleep. Maria and me decide to enjoy some quality time. We grab a bottle of wine and simply drag out some chairs from my room onto the street and set up our own little private bodega on the street. We’re drinking lovely wine and are chatting about all sorts of things. We have plenty to catch up. Suddenly the sound of a Ukulele gets to our ears from one of the windows above. Portuguese? She says and looks at me. I try to listen. Yeah. Sounds like Portuguese. We giggle a bit and continue chatting. The sound gets louder and suddenly you can hear two voices sing. We listen for a bit, suddenly the music stops. We look up at the window where the music came from and the guy from the morning appears in the window. “Hi” he says waving down to us. “Hi” we say back.

We keep chatting about her marriage, about my divorce, about live here and there. Suddenly Mr. Portuguese Ukulele Yogi walks down the street. We start chatting about how we heard him sing in Portuguese. He’s Brazilian so yes, it was Portuguese. He says he’s visiting his friend who is staying here. Two minutes later also his friend comes down the street. A funny looking guy in dangaroos, his colorful socks pulled up towards the knees, his dark beard shaved in a funny way, one long earring dangling from his left ear. After a bit more chit chat I ask if they don’t want to join us. “We have some more chairs we can pull out”. Without hesitation they agree. Fernao, that’s the name of the Brazilian, is tall, curly wild hair, glasses. Looks a bit nerdy. Not as hot as I thought from the glimpse I caught of him in the morning but still quite cute. Sami, is from Iran but lives in Austin, Texas, he is into pottery which is why he is here in this village; he starts telling us how he got totally hooked on it by watching YouTube videos and now he finds himself here, learning from the best of the best. He’s a storyteller, that much is clear. I like story tellers. He’s much shorter than Fernao, but has very dark, mysterious eyes.

We chat about things for a while when Maria suddenly gets a phone call. Her daughter has fever. She has to leave. I’m sad she has to leave. It was so nice catching up and even now, talking to these strangers together as if we were on a holiday somewhere together in our early 20s.

I stick around and chat some more with the two guys. I can’t really say what they’re up to. Sami makes me a compliment suddenly about how beautiful my face is. I have to laugh cause at this point of time I consider my face anything else but beautiful. I look over to Fernao, shrugging in his direction as if to say “what’s wrong with your friend”. We keep on drinking wine and talk about space, aliens, nature, random encounters. I ask if either one of them smokes and Sami gets up getting his tobacco from his room. We smoke. We drink wine. We talk. Cats join us. Sami feeds them so they stick around meowing for more food. Suddenly without any clear reason why, we all get up and there’s a sense of “party is over”. We all take the chairs inside, clear up the stuff, hug each other good night “was nice to meet you”.

Somehow, I’m relieved I didn’t end up in bed with either one of them. Not that there would have been clear interest from their side anyways but I’ve been having a bad conscious about my promiscuous lifestyle lately and that would have been too much. And I’m here to visit my friend and not to fuck around. Good girl.

The next morning I’m about to hop into the shower when someone knocks on my door. It’s Fernao. He’s got no shirt on. I’m only wrapped in a towel. “Good morning!” – “Good morning”. “Sami and I are planning to go to this remote beach today. We have a rental so we can drive around. I was wondering, well, I’m sure you have plans but if not, if you’d like to join us.” I explain that I don’t know because I need to wait for Maria to contact me. Her daughter has fever so I don’t know what’s going to happen. “Ok sure, well, let us know or at least come up for a coffee anyway.” “Sure.”

I get into the shower smiling.

I make myself another fruit plate and go to the terrace upstairs. Fernao is again there doing Yoga. But this time I dare to pass him and sit on one of the sun chairs. We chat a bit. He continues his yoga. Tells me how yesterday he got up at 7am and did a 3 hour yoga session. This place energizes him. Maria calls. Her daughter had bad fever last night and her sister’s dog died. I tell her not to worry about me, she should be with her family. I will go to the beach with the guys.

Within a few hours we are on our way to the beach. It’s a bit of a drive but eventually we get there. The beach can be reached after walking for about 15min through sand dunes. It’s scorching hot. Fernao is carrying his botijo with him. Sami carries his Ukulele and a football.

We get to the beach. It is anything else but remote. It’s filled with people. Naked people. It’s a nudist beach. I make nervous jokes, how funny it is that we think we’re going to some remote beach and we end up at a nudist beach. “Well, it’s not like we were going to wear swim wear at a remote beach anyways”, Fernao says. It doesn’t take 5min and both of them are butt naked. Great.

First round of swimming I leave on my bikini. But when Fernao starts to make handstands and wheels in the sand with his shlong dangling around I feel seriously overdressed and tell myself “ah what the fuck”. I take off my bikini. I’m not exactly comfortable with my body in broad sunlight. My boobs are tiny and my nipples are ugly when they’re not hard. But well. It’s not like those two are carved out of stone either.

I don’t exactly remember when but at some point I realize that Fernao is flirting with me.

I lay on my stomach, taking in the full sun. Fernao starts touching my back. I don’t know why but it makes me insanely horny. We swim, we eat, we drink beer, we swim – life could be worse. At some point Fernao is playing the Ukulele and Sami starts to massage my feet. And I’m lying there on my back wondering HOW DID I GET HERE? How am I here? On this beach, with these guys? By the way, not sure this is clear but they are both really nice fellas. Not dodgy at all. Just really nice, funny guys.

I did start to think at some point if they have some twisted plan of luring me into a threesome. For a second I am wondering if I could be convinced but no. Seems a bit much.

We go for another swim. It feels great to jump naked in the waves.

It’s getting late and I start to have a bad conscious about having fun here with these guys while Maria needs to deal with her sick daughter and a sad sister. I tell the guys that I need to get out of the sun; maybe we could start thinking of going back soon? They don’t really seem to want to and I don’t really want to push for it, since it’s their car and I don’t want to ruin their fun. I say I go for another swim and then we see.

When I get back from the water, Fernao has explored the area in the dunes and says there is a nice place in the shade where we can hang out for a little longer. I agree. We take our stuff to the dunes and make up a camp. Fernao even brought his hammock… :D

We hang out for a little longer and decide to go back. Finally. It’s already 7pm or sth.

Once we’re back I get in touch with Maria and we meet for dinner. After that, I go upstairs to join the guys. We drink some wine, chat. Sami goes to sleep. I guess he noticed Fernao and me flirting with each other. Fernao and me have been caressing each other’s back and hair all day. I think it takes not even 1min after Sami left and we’re kissing. I am so horny. How does this guy make me so horny? My Argentinian and Colombian friends have been telling me how Latin American guys are just different. Boy were they right. We’re sitting on the sun chair kissing and Fernao is leaning in on me when suddenly the fabric of the chair breaks and we’re both landing on the floor. We’re laughing.

We get up and continue kissing against the wall when he asks: “Can I take you somewhere where I can take all these clothes off?” Yes please.

We go to my room. As soon as I close the door behind me, Fernao pushes me against the wall, holds up my hands above my hand, kisses me passionately and seems to have his hands all over me. He lifts up my dress, squeezes my but, kisses my neck. I wrap my arms around him, he lifts me up so I am against the wall, legs wrapped around him. I slide down, he opens the zipper of my dress, slowly slides it down my shoulders. I’m not wearing a bra. I’m only in panties. He looks at me and smiles. Takes my hand and guides me to the bed. We make passionate love until we fall into a soft slumber. A few hours we wake up, make love again…

In the morning, we wake up next to each other. He says “Yesterday morning, Sami asked me what I’d like for today. And I said “Figs and Charlotte��”.

Merry Pitchmas!!!

Merry Pitchmas @verzescal!!! This is your secret santa stepping into the sun. At first I was really planning on making a Bechloe shirt for you but figured this works virtually and led me to a realization that I should maybe try writing too so… This is my first Bechloe fic so please be gentle with me? :3 hope you like this one though. Enjoy!

“So, you really are doing this Beca.” “Yep, you’ll finally tell her.” “Finally our little big shot will get it!” “I’m very proud of you Becs. Finally you’re gonna man up after how many years? 3years?”

These were just the words running inside Beca’s head. Her bandmates. Her friends’ words pouring out of joy for finally she’ll do something. A big leap, a big change in her life.

It’s their senior year and days before their graduation day, their university throw them a farewell or like send-off party. Beca’s band is set to play a few songs as an opening act for the party. It’s just a few minutes before they go onstage, just enough time for Beca to make sure everything is okay, according to plan. Their songs, every microphones they’ll use, their instrument… also her heart.

“Yep. This is it.”

Stacie was goofing around with Jesse and Benji when she noticed Beca zoning out.

“Nervous?”, Stacie asked.

Beca rolls her eyes trying to avoid the question but delighted that Stacie managed to get her out of the trance she’s in. She doesn’t have the time to be thinking about other things though so she just shrugged.

“I know the feeling. Everything will be fine, Becs. We’re here.”, Stacie gave her a reassuring smile and lightly patted Beca’s back before she walked back to Jesse and Benji. Then she passed by CR, about to light her cigarette.

“Are they here already?”

“Yeah. Emily and Jessica’s there with blondie and lil’ big BM’s girl.”, CR answered.

“Good. We’ll be up onstage within 5mins.”

Five minutes was over but Beca’s stomach is still doing crazy tricks like hell. She never felt this nervous ever. She always enjoyed every performance they gave. Every little crazy mistakes and every success is worth it.

“You’re thinking too much, Beca.”, Jesse noticed.

But Beca didn’t hear him because of the loud and enthusiastic cheer from the crowd, and when their emcee intoduced them and called them onstage.

“Are you having a great night Barden? I can’t hear ya! Tonight we’ll party! Without further introductions, let’s get the Syntax Error band onstage! We got Benji Applebaum on drums, Jesse Swanson on bass, Stacie Conrad on keys, Cynthia-Rose Adams on rhythm guitar and vocals… and Beca Mitchell on lead guitar!”

Upon hearing Syntax Error and the introduction of each members, the crowd cheered louder. Except for an amazed ginger standing at the stage right stairs together with her roommates and friends, Jessica, Emily and Aubrey, eyes locked on a petite brunette onstage with her guitar.

“She’ll melt if you stare at her like that”, Jessica lightly bumped Chloe to catch her attention. Chloe then brushes it off when Aubrey tried to divert it to somewhere else.

“I mean, ice cream! Emily’s ice cream will melt if she don’t eat it at once!”

“Where’s Amy by the way?”, but before Aubrey can make up an answer as to where is Fat Amy, Syntax Error started to play.

Still onstage, playing their intro riff, Beca looked for Jessica in the crowd and saw her gesturing a sign that they can play their songs whenever they’re ready. After seeing Jessica’s signal, she shifted her look from Jessica to her bandmates now, sighed and mouthed a “this is it”.

Still playing their chord progressions from their intro, CR briefly set the mood and gave a little background about their first song.

“Our first song. This is what we call, well… ‘Anna’. Our little lead guitarist wrote this song, and the other one that we’ll be playing.”, Beca slightly bowed when CR pointed at her.

“Okay. Has anyone here ever fell in love? You’ve fallen so hard that you’ve been a wussy to just walk up to that someone and tell him or her what or how you feel. Now, this song will tell you how that feelings are for someone, all bottled up inside your hearts screaming. And how this song wants to tell someone, 'I love you’. Let’s go!”

“Who’s Anna?”, Chloe asks, looking confused.

The crowd just have gone wild and cheered 'I love yous’ everywhere. Even before modulating to the first chord of their song, CR goes back to the crowd adding, “Oh, our little big lead also wants to clear that 'Anna’, is not her someone or my someone, or Stacie’s, Jesse’s or Benji’s… just… a representation, of someone else.”

Upon striking the first chord, CR managed to give a thumbs up to Beca who is now trying to be relaxed than ever. With this, all of her bandmates gave her a faniliar smile. A smile that somehow made her feel alive again, and she finally gets into the music. Playing her little solos in the intro then nodding to CR for the first verse.

“I long to tell you How much I need you If I can find the words to say I never have to feel this way Not knowing just what to do when I’m with you.

My friends they tell me That I shouldn’t hurry Everything keeps goin’ strong 'Coz you keep it going on Though i have to say how much I love you…”

Even before the chorus part comes, Stacie nodded at Beca to look on the side of the stage where Chloe is standing. Beca managed to find Chloe in the crowd. There she is, red locks bouncing with her movements, eyes closed, a little lost in the music and bobbing her head a little to the song. This made Beca smile and looked back to Stacie and mouthed a “thanks”.

Meanwhile, Chloe seemed to be enjoying the music when Aubrey nudged her to listen to the next lines of the song.

“Oh my god. Chloe, listen.”

“What?”, Chloe asked but decided to organize herself to wake up from the trance she’s in.

“Oh Anna, can’t you tell and see? What you’re doing to me Oh Anna, this feeling I just can’t hide Keeps driving me wild Oh Anna I need you here with me I wish you could be Oh Anna, won’t you stay with me?”

The song still goes on with CR singing every line and Chloe still confused as to why Aubrey caught her attention. But Emily and Jessica, the two accomplices are shocked to see Stacie and Beca talking with Beca shaking her head like she’s disagreeing over something.

“Oooooh. Looks like they’re arguing.”, Jessica says to Emily.

“C'mon Becs! Sing the last verse and chorus!”, yells Stacie trying to convince Beca to sing.

Jesse then stepped a little closer to Beca and kinda whispered, “She’ll never know that she’s the 'Anna’ in your song.”

Beca just gave her the signature eye roll to Jesse and continued to just play. CR seemed to notice the commotion behind her caused by her bandmates. So while the interlude of the song comes, she roam around the stage when she spotted Beca still focused on her guitar solo then she turned to Stacie and gave her this questioning look.

“Our little grumpy cat here doesn’t wanna sing.”

With this, CR stepped forward again to the crowd and ask them to sing with them when the chorus part comes. Beca haven’t noticed when CR leaned to her and put the mic on her to sing the last parts. Beca protested but CR is persistent, and her bandmates are too. Heart beating fast, her insides churning, Beca shook her head and started to sing:

“Your eyes, they look through me Your smile, it fools me I never thought I’d love again But this time I hope it never ends I have to let you know how much…”

She continued to play as is. She looked around the her bandmates, then to the crowd and then to the group of girls standing at the right side of the stage making sure the redhead is looking at her too. Their eyes met and she just can’t take hers from that blue eyes and she smirked..

“I love you!”

Beca then turned to the crowd now smiling, and sang the last chorus of the song leaving Chloe shocked and confused at the same time. Behind Chloe are Aubrey, Jessica and Emily cheering and eventually singing along with Beca.

“What’s that all about? Is she looking at me?”, Chloe asks her friends who seem to don’t notice because they are already enjoying Syntax Error’s set. When Jessica scooted closer to her, “Maybe.”

“Or maybe not.”, Aubrey added.

“Or…”, Emily tries to get closer to them and the trio just says in unison:

“Maybe just listen to their set.”

“With your heart.”, Emily spills and Aubrey just gives her a look.

Before Emily starts to spill the whole plan to Chloe, Beca steps forward to the mic for their next song, giving CR the lead. This time, Beca on vocals. This time, more confident and comfortable.

“Alright Barden! Can I hear the seniors there?”

With much enthusiasm, the seniors and the whole quad starts to cheer the loudest. Beca, satisfied and energized hearing her colleagues continues, “We are all aware that this is our last year here in Barden. And in a few days, we’re gonna march out of this campus proud.”

You can hear the “Awwww’s” everywhere, but Syntax Error continues to play and Beca still going with her spiels.

“Some of you may think that this is the end, but tonight I wanna share with you that this is just the start of something new. Not just for me, or for my band, but also for all of you!”

The crowd suddenly comes back to life again. This is the cue for their next song. Syntax Error plays an intro to the song so that Beca can start her confession. CR and Stacie harmonizing their instruments with the chill vibe. Jesse gives her a thumbs up and Benji is grinning like a little child at the back. Beca breathes deep and starts, “Before we play our last song, I have a confession to make. The song we’ve played earlier and this song that we’re gonna play is… I’ve written solely for someone that is very dear to me.”

Beca tries to look in Chloe’s direction before singing the first lines when Aubrey catches her eyes. Beca smirks at the older girl when she sees that she gestures an 'a-ok’ sign to her before nudging Chloe closer to the stage.

“And in fact, that someone is standing right there with you guys.”, Beca added.

“This is the part where you should really listen, Chlo.”, Aubrey kept reminding Chloe like there’s something that’s gonna happen.

The crowd then suddenly got wild and cheered for Beca. Some of them, trying to look around and guess who is that 'someone’ Beca is talking about. Chloe then got the hint and decided to focus her attention to the brunette singing onstage. Beca already felt Chloe’s gaze so she locked her eyes on Chloe for the whole first part of the song and sang with all of her heart…

“There I was, an empty piece of a shell, Just minding my own world; Without even knowin’ what love and life were all about Then you came, You brought me out of the shell; You gave the world to me And before I knew, there I was so in love with you.”

Beca gets the mic and walks down the stage still singing, headed down to Chloe’s direction still frozen because of the sudden change of her friend. Before Beca can go down a step, Jesse lightly taps her shoulder and said, “Go, get her kid!”

With this, Beca continued singing. With heart beating fast, she continued to walk towards this redhead standing there. The only star that shines the brightest to her eyes. The only person who lights up her world. The person who taught her how to love again.

“You gave me a reason for my being And I love what I’m feelin’ You gave me a meaning to my life Yes, we’ve gone beyond existing And it all began when I met you.”

Beca gets closer, walking past every person in front of the redhead. Heart still beating fast but this time she’s sure of what she’s doing. Inches away from Chloe, she stops and smiles. “Hey.”

Syntax Error continues to play with Beca’s bandmates, smiling at their friends like there’s no tomorrow. Beca puts her mic in her pocket, looks at the trio who helped her and gives them a thumbs up and a 'thank you’. Before Beca can get Chloe’s hand though, Aubrey shots her a look and says, “You’ll know what will happen if you ever hurt her, midget… Beca.”

“Aca-nazi… Aubrey.”, Beca answers with a smirk.

Chloe, still confused more than she is earlier turns to them. But before she can even open her mouth, Beca gets her hand and leans closer to her ear, “Chlo, please before you can say anything, I want you to come with me. Let me do this right this time.”

Chloe looks at Beca then to her friends who seemed happy for what’s happening. Feet still stuck on the floor. She can’t explain the feeling that she’s feeling right now. She wants answers. She’s worried on what will happen. But then, there are her friends nudging her to come with Beca. It’s not that she doesn’t want to come with Beca, but she’s afraid. She’s scared to find out what lies ahead. Beca noticed this and she gently squeezed Chloe’s hand, and led her back to the stage.

When they both got onstage, Syntax Error started to play the song’s interlude to let Beca confess… er…. and explain things to Chloe. All four, Stacie, CR, Jesse and Benji are smiling widely at Beca and Chloe. Stacie even bumped Beca to welcome them back. Jesse gave them a thumbs up. Beca nodded at CR to let them know that this will kinda take time. With all things set, Beca gets the mic with her left hand and with her right hand holding Chloe’s hand.

“So uhm, guys I just want to take a moment. I just wanna take this chance. Never run away again and tell everybody that this girl here is very special to me. ”

'Whew boy’ and 'awww’ are heard, some of the crowd felt silent listening to what Beca says. And some takes their phone out to record this moment. Beca then turns to face Chloe and continues, “All these years, we’ve been together through thick and thin. You stood up for me. You believed in me when I thought I’m just losing myself again. You always bring out the best in me, Chlo. And I wanted to say I’m sorry, Chlo. It took me some time to finally say it… that I’ve been in love with you. I’m loving you. Chlo, I… that I love you.”

Chloe falls silent, looking down at her hand entwined with Beca’s. She can’t find the words to say. Tears begin to roll down from her eyes. She’s trying to wake herself up, thinking that this is only a dream. But Beca cups her cheeks and looks in her blue eyes.

“Hey. Look, Chlo. I’m not asking you to answer back now. I’m not asking you to love me if you don’t love me too…”, with this Beca gets teary-eyed and it forces a voice to come out from Chloe.

“No, Beca. That’s-”

“Ssh. It’s okay, Chlo. I just wanted to let you know how I feel. I just wanna let you know that I’m here. That I love you no matter what. I’ve seen you get hurt, I’ve seen you smile and laugh. And-”

“I love you too, Becs.”, Chloe interrupts and pecks Beca’s lips.

“I didn’t know that you could be this mushy.”

“I, uh-”, Beca tries to talk but now she’s the one left tongue-tied.

“I love you too, Beca Mitchell.”

Then the crowd cheers the loudest this time. Some are shouting “More!!!” as if asking the two to make out onstage with that huge crowd, but then Stacie steps in to the two and asks, “So, you two, you’re a thing now?”

Beca just smirks and holds Chloe’s hand. Without a word, Stacie gets it and finally announces it to the crowd.

“Alright Barden, there we go! Beca Mitchell and Chloe Beale!”

With this, the crowd continues to roar louder and Syntax Error prepares to continue their set. Beca leans closer to Chloe and whispers, “Stay with me here. We still have to finish our set, unless… you want the crowd to see us making out. I f*cking wanna continue where we left earlier though.”

Chloe blushes and the smile on her face can’t be erased while she’s there onstage with Beca, savouring the moment. Chloe looks back on her friends who are already cheering for them. Emily and Jessica are seen cheering wildly. And there’s Aubrey, overwhelmed and trying not to get emotional and contain her happiness for her best friend. She also sees Fat Amy who seems to be in a fix, rushing towards them.

“Operation Bhloe. Special. In five seconds.”

Aubrey, Jessica and Emily knew what that meant. Without wasting time, they all get their phones out again to capture this very special moment for their friends.

“5, 4, 3, 2, 1!”

Syntax Error is on the last few sections of their song and during Stacie’s sick keyboard solos, the sky above them was lit up with fireworks. Beca who’s there standing with Chloe leaned closer to her and squeezed Chloe’s hands. “Look up.”

Chloe looked up and gasped when she saw the marvel of the fireworks display and this moment with Beca. But what left her more amazed and speechless again was when she saw the lights make letters and eventually complete a sentence up there.

“Chloe Beale. Will you please be my girlfriend?”

“Great timing Amy.”, Beca mutters.

“Yes!”, Chloe shouts and Beca suddenly looks at her.

“I’m sorry, what?”

Chloe then leans closer to Beca and whispers to her ear, “I said I want to be your girlfriend, Beca Mitchell.”

Beca shivers when she feels Chloe’s breath and with the answer that she got. Like a reflex, she then hugs Chloe tightly. She looks back to her friends and bandmates, and all are grinning like a buffoon at them. She also shots a look at Fat Amy who sees her and shrugs, whispering “Sorry”. Aubrey, who’s trying to contain her happiness for her friends is now crying with Jessica comforting her and Emily recording this precious moment.

“I feel like I’m the fucking luckiest person in the world now, Chlo. I love you. Always.”. Beca leans closer to Chloe and plants a gentle kiss on her lips. When their lips part, Beca smiles and whispers, “This is just the start of our new journey. To infinity and beyond!”

“Aww. And I thought you hated movies.”, Chloe teases Beca but she just shrugs and smiles widely again.

“I love you too, Beca.” ________________________ PS. I DO NOT OWN PITCH PERFECT NOR THE CHARACTERS AND SONGS I USED. PPS. Songs I used are Top Suzara’s version of Anna and Out of Luck’s version of When I Met You.

Health / Nutrition / Life : Update

LIFE: If you didn't watch the video I posted Saturday of myself, let me catch you up quickly. Drove to work just to get a flat tire 5min away and I'm sick so, I worked an hour and then went home 👍 currently got the tire fixed and an oil change for $45 so I'm happy about that. As for my other job, I just got three new Personal Training clients. One is the DON from my last job at the nursing home, one woman is already from the studio and the other is a girl I played softball with and she's doubling with her girlfriend. So there's some more good news right there! Lastly, I'm thinking about getting into online training/coaching. Just don't know what steps to take yet. If any of you do online training/coaching, message me with advice please and thank you! HEALTH / NUTRITION: I won't lie, I've been on and off the wagon with keeping up with my diabetes and everything. I'm trying to focus on my jobs and business and education but also trying to pay attention to my own health at the same time. @ I made a little blueprint of what my meals will be like from now on. Same format just changing up the food that I want within each week or so. I have an appointment with my endocrinologist on the 27th so we'll see how everything is going when I see him. Peeves about fanfictions

If you don't like rants, ignore this post. And yes swear-words are included. I am focusing mostly on Fairy tail FF, but any of this peeves applies to any other FF out there.

Also warning for spelling and grammar.

We all know fanfictions are more or less... “write it freely thing”,no rules or “you must do this and that”. I get it. But for fucks sake, it dosent mean you can blame everything on the write-as-you-want thing. Hell no. Professional or amateur writer docent matter, nobody will read your fanfiction or

Here are some of the biggest peeves about fanfictions:

1) Despite this fanfic taking existing characters, the characters used could be someone else.

If you use an existing character, get their personality right. If the characters you use act different and talk different than the ones from the anime or movie you chosen to write your fanfiction about, you can as well change their names to something else. Even if we interpret things different,and why they act certain way does not mean a character can do a 180 degrees turn in their personality.

Sometimes the character from anime/movie acts as the real one would do, and then change into a...well.. a really bad OC.

2) Author says the fanfiction is based in the already existing world of manga/movie, but none of the existing rules we already know exist in the story, the characters are way off (or only one or 2,while the others act as they normally would), the plot of their fanfictions is disconnected from the world and breaks most of that worlds rules.

No. The “Im just creative” - excuse does NOT excuse your ignorance to details,existing most important rules and simply not wanting to keep yourself within those said rules. If you want to bend rules, learn what they are first. When you know them, you will know:

* how to break them in right way

* what consequences and impact it will have on the story line and the characters

* what those consequences will lead to, and with options will be off-limits due to the rules being broken,and what new possible opportunities have opened up and why.

Remember. IF a rule that exists in the world your characters live in is broken, consequences is a MUST. If you re-invent a rule/rules in that world, you have re-made the world itself with is fine, but do NOT pretend that those characters are still in the same world they are in the anime. Be CLEAR about what is different and what isn't.

3) Pacing goes from 0 to 100 within one paragraph.

Chill.The hell. Out. there is so many details and information missing that NOTHING makes sense here. take time to explain how,when,why and where.

Take us slowly from beginning to the middle and to the end.

4) writers OC is the so called Mary Sue.

I don't believe in Mary Sues,only in bad writing.But holy shit, I know what people mean with Mary Sue. Fairy Tail fandom (and a lot of others too) are FULL of those. When your FT character can:

*open gate to Celestial world (or any other world) at any time without consequences, enter that said world without problem, and is a celestial dragon slayer,and then is an amaaaazing healer, and lets not forget that character sounds like a Lucy Heartfilia,Natsu Dragneel and Wendy mix, then you know you have created a character based on traits you admire in main characters, so you take those out,and put them into one character to show how a “good character looks like”. No offence,but if this character can do all this things, whats the point of having any other character in your fanfic? This one can already do everything, knows everything, uses magic left and right, have no issue travelling to other worlds and is well known powerhouse then sorry princess,your oc have serious issues.

*the OC is. EVERYWHERE. At all times. Sees every single crucial to plot thing, sees all problems that arise, know why and how, and know automatically how to solve them.

*the OC knows other characters from the very beginning even if they haven't met them. If the other character is well -known (like Natsu aka salamander), then they can react surprised or shocked or happy or whatever you want when they hear his name as in “Oh so HE is from FT and he is the famous Salamander”. They should NOT know who is who after 5min with one of the other characters we already know.

The reader is probably a fan,so no need to go into super-deep detail about an existing character people have been followed in the series your ff is based on. the details about your own OC(s) you kick into their world is the interesting part. The new rules that you have added (maybe linked to previous events fans had seen? ) and why they exist is the interesting part, and how the characters deal with that. Does it affect them? Does it destroy their life? Does it interfere with their job or life, making it harder/easier?

New stuff need explanation, the stuff we seen can be named to and described to help us see what is happening where.

3) Flirty characters end up being written as stalkers, perverts, rapists, or someone who dosent respect the opposite genders “no”, intrudes into their personal space and is in constant “I wanna do them”-mood.

Dude. I know. Interpretation thing again yea yea. There are still lines between “a little OOC” and “so OOC the character became someone else”.

Yes I look at you who write about Loke damn it. Or Ezio. Or any other existing flirty character. Stop it. Take your time to get FAMILIAR with the character.

If you intend to overdo a character for comedy's sake,you will need to make everyone else behave off as well. If ALL other characters behave exactly as you would expect them to expect in anime/game/movie and only the character you make as the main one for your FF behaves WAY off, it makes your fanfic unbelievable not to mention a pain to read. And IF there is a reason why the flirty one acts off and not the rest of them, you need to have a reason for that.

4) writers dislike of certain character makes them change that character into a total dick who gains everything for free, and any relationship that hated character had is eliminated or changed so much it makes that character into someone else.

Poor Lisanna Strauss.

when she came back, people hated her. For no fucking reason. And most fanfics that involves her (In the Fairy Tail FF-world) go like this:

*Lisanna is a bitch

*Natsu-team is a bitch to Lucy

*Lucy cries and runs away, and either becomes evil, or ends up screwing around with someone 24/7 and now hates FT because Lisanna is back.

What.The actual FUCK.

Okay.If you want to write about Lisanna being mean, you need to start with an idea WHY. Basing it on “she was with Natsu first” does not hold for more than 1 second. They were not a pair when she poofed from FT. They were not MARRIED.

Biggest insult becomes the “Lucy you are weak go to hell”-attitude ENTIRE guild ends up having. You broke the biggest damn plot-related rule.

““NAKAMA SUPPORTS TOGETHER. NAKAMA IS FAMILY,AND NAKAMA HELP EACH OTHER OUT IN THE TIME OF NEED.“

Second thing you need is slower progression to WHY she is a dick. Why is she going against her nakama? Why are her old friends siding with her?

And no. No. Lucy being weak is your damn opinion. While you can write as if Lisanna thinks that, the OTHER characters change in one second flat. if they start thinking like Lisanna, you need. A freaking reason. WHY. And keep them in character as much as possible.

Can you really imagine Makarov say “yea they are right you suck” to one of FT members? If he decides to side with Lisanna, you need to keep his way of talking intact. Act as an actual old, wise and calm adult, not like some teenager who sides with his bully-buddys.

5) Characters that are not known for being power-houses in series become described as weak-ones. And everyone else thinks so too! No valid explanation, just pure hate from start to end.

Not being a official powerhouse in the movie/manga sucks. If they are not official they always end up being hated in FF. Once again, writers personal opinion takes over and creates this weird “let us kick down this character” instead of neutrally look at the weakness and strengths of that character.

6) “I found a girlfriend for The King so now I can live in human world forever and loose nothing” (Fairy Tail Fandom strikes again).

LucyxLoke shippers. Oh dear gosh,so many idiotic reasons they can find to make Loke stay in human world forever is... countless. few of those reasons are good.

yes Im sure he would abandon his comrades in Celestial World just because of that. Mhm. You are not convincing me with that. Or anyone else for that matter.

7) Blaming every plot hole, bad details, badly laid out information, bad character development, bad personalities mm on “I am amateur author”.

And this is why your writing never gets better.

Hernia Monday

So, since there’s a lot to say, I’ll try typing it here.

First off, I’m okay now. I’m in pain, but not too much. I have trouble standing/sitting/getting around, but that’ll fade with time.

Monday morning I woke early. Kitty has not been doing well, and did not respond to the new medicine at all. I asked for an enema, but the vet wanted to try the medicine first. He was pretty sure it’s kidney disease. The plan was to leave her there Monday morning, head to work, teach 3 lessons, then my boss would drive me back to the vet, pick her up, and assist as translator for that really difficult conversation every pet owner should be somewhat prepared to have. Then we’d take Persia (my cat) back to my apt, let her out, return to work, teach the last 3 classes, then head home, possibly to spend one more night and morning with Persia, then take her in on Wednesday to be put to sleep.

That was the plan. The fact that I can tell you that Persia responded VERY well to the enema and is eating now is great, but that was still just about the worst Monday I’ve ever had means other crap happened.

Some years ago, I got a hernia. Not going to go into TOO much gross detail, but if you don’t know, it’s when your abdominal muscle wall gets a hole, and your intestine pokes through, but your skin is still in place. (Good going, skin. Thanks for holding me together. You did your job well.) I didn’t notice when I got the hernia. I can think of a few instances where it might have happened, but I honestly don’t know. Few years ago, I felt a bump on my stomach, and went to the hospital (in Japan, you don’t go to a doctor- you go to a hospital, for emergency and non-emergency events alike) and got a CT scan. Yup, hernia. But not a big one. The doctor said that fixing it would require surgery, and a stay at the hospital for a few days at least. However, since it didn’t hurt, and wasn’t that large, he told me that I could just go about my life normally, provided it didn’t hurt. If it hurt, I had to return at once.

Monday, right before the first class started, it started hurting. A lot. Sometimes, if it grew uncomfortable, lying down on the floor and massaging would help it “pop” back in for a short time, and I could continue as normal. Not happening this time. The bump was big, it hurt a lot. Pushing on it didn’t increase the pain. It felt like there was a massive pressure building up right under my belly button. I tried to teach for about 5min, but couldn’t. My student is very understanding (he’s kind of a giant pothead, so he’s always laid back), and I messaged my boss that I was in pain. A minute later, I said that I needed an ambulance.

At our school, we have a teacher for the after school program. She’s very nice & is one of my adult students on Wednesday. My boss was still driving back, so After School teacher called the ambulance, gave them directions on how to get to the school. They arrived within 5min. As I was lying in the back, I gave my key and some money to my boss to pick up Persia as planned and just put her in my apt. I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to get home.

I... cannot express how deeply grateful I am to both my boss and the After School teacher. Boss stayed at work, started calling all of my students to cancel, After School teacher rode in the ambulance with me. The hospital I had been diagnosed with the hernia was my first choice, and, as all of my info was in their system, they agreed to take me in.

They did a CT scan, saw that the hernia had gotten big enough that part of the intestine had started looping around. Food was getting caught in there- couldn’t head back in the body. It would keep expanding until... well, nothing good could come from it. They decided that emergency surgery was the best option.

A problem arose- a specific part they needed, they were out of. They estimated it’d take 3hrs to get one. Checking my lungs, heart, etc would take one hour, so there’s still be 2hrs of waiting. Not great, but not horrible.

They asked me about rooms. In this hospital, if you go for a group room, there will be 3 other patients in the room, you’ll share a bathroom, share a nurse team. HOWEVER, these rooms are free of charge. OR I could get a private room at ￥10,000 a night (about $100). Still a steal compared to US prices, but I’m poor, so I agreed to have roommates.

After School teacher was still there, helping me. In tears, I relayed to her the plan for Persia. I asked her to beg the doctor to let me go home on Tuesday, even for a short time, so I could say goodbye. I showed pics of Persia to the doc. He smiled and said that it would be HIGHLY irregular, but, if I was healing well enough, after surgery, I’d go to the ICU for the night, then he’d let me “retrieve personal items” from my apt, then come back. wink wink nudge nudge

After checking that my lungs and heart and blood all worked, they wheeled me up to my room. Turns out, coughcoughcough, all of the shared rooms were full right then, so they upgraded me to a private room for free. I was so appreciative.

At the room, they shaved my stomach, made me change out of work clothes into hospital gear. Their largest stuff JUST fit me, though we gave up on the pajama pants. I’d have to just wear boxers. As I finished changing into those, the part they needed arrived. My wait went from expected 2hrs to 5min.

Since I’d be put under general anesthetic, someone had to wait for me. After School teacher, and later my boss were there in the waiting room the whole time. They found my vein, gave me an IV drip, and wheeled me into the surgery room as the medicine was inserted into me.

A tip for you. If possible, right before you surgery, ask each doctor and nurse their name and shake their hand. It astonished them, but they relaxed a bit. I was their first foreigner to be working on. I thanked them and wished them the best of luck.

Side note- screw grumpy anesthetic doctors. He decided my airway wasn’t as wide as he liked, so he jammed a metal cervix opener down there & sprayed numbing agent. I almost choked. A few times.

But the medicine did its job, and I was OUT. Didn’t even feel sleepy, just fine, then every nerve was a sparkly buzz, then whole body numb and BAM, I was out. I vaguely remember speaking to boss & After School teacher afterwards. Persia was doing okay, they were putting me in ICU, I’d have to be there all night.

I think I got to the ICU at 8:30. So, the surgery took about 3 hours. No complications, everything went fine. The ICU was silent all night. I faded in and out of sleep, grumpy that I couldn’t use my phone in there, nor could I drink and water until 11, but fine otherwise.

In the morning, the doctor returned and checked me out. I was doing great. I could turn to the side on my own, and even sit up with some help. They were unabashedly amazed. They didn’t expect that for a day or so. I tell you, when kitty cuddles are on the line, my mutant healing factor kicks in. Around 10, my boss arrived and talked to the doctor. He said that, PROVIDED I relax and don’t push it, he’d be okay with discharging me right then. I agreed.

So, I’m home at the apt now. I have pain pills & healing medicine I have to take 3 times a day, I move very slowly, but I can move, and I return there Monday to check on things.

My boss, god bless her, paid my bill at the hospital before I was aware she was doing it.

A quick word- Japan has universal health care, 30/70. The gov’t will pay 70% of any medical expense you incur, you pay 30. But beyond that, drug companies & insurance companies are not allowed to run hospitals, so costs stay low. Also, ambulances are FREE in this country. (The EMTs are astounded when they hear how much Americans pay.)

So, the total cost. Ambulance, CT scan, X-rays, blood tests, breathing tests, heart rate tests, emergency surgery under full anesthesia, 14 hours in ICU (with 2 pain medications), and a week’s worth of pain pills and healing medicine, TOTAL was ￥130,000 ($1300).

BUT WAIT. My boss knew I was tired, but highly recommended we go to the city office at once. Turns out, if your salary is low and the health cost of a sudden incident was high, you can get a partial refund. They decided that I will get ￥70,000 ($700) back from the hospital.

Total cost, $600.

I so hope the US starts getting this type of medical coverage. It saved my life twice today, once through surgery, and then through not bankrupting me.

I’m sore, but hanging in there. Gassy, but nobody else lives here. Extremely grateful to have such amazing co-worker and boss. Thankful I have some time to snuggle kitty. Oh, kitty perked right up after the enema. She’s eating again, moving around. I think the sad conversation is not far off, but not this week.

Celia’s Birth Story.

Welcome, Celia Fe! Born 08.05.17, surprising everyone 23 days before her due date.

At my 36wk mark on Monday, I had a funny inkling that the baby would be here soon. I called to make a hair appointment and thought, "Wouldn't it be ironic if she's born before then?" The inkling kept tickling my mind and emotions and I wrote it off as a sense of preparedness. I was prepared for labor and delivery, and it was just me, ready to get to the other side.

By Wednesday, the inkling grew frenetic. I just KNEW she would be here soon. I was filled with strange new energy to get ready, quick. Pack the hospital bag. Take maternity photos with the boys NOW because the weekend might be too late. Get out the carseat and wash the cover. Just totally overwhelmed by this sense that she was coming SOON. And after I ate a hearty yogurt-apple salad at 3pm, I wasn't hungry again. Strange, I'm always hungry...

At 7pm, I tweaked an abdominal muscle somehow. It felt like the baby kicked or elbowed me and it triggered a sharp round ligament pain... except the pain spread to the other side, and lasted for hours. I couldn't roll over in bed or walk to the bathroom without assistance. After five hours, I phoned Labor and Delivery and they suggested I come in for monitoring. The jostling car ride over was terrrrrrible, but it was kind of nice to have a practice run since we hadn't delivered at this hospital before.

They kept us in triage for about six hours, then sent us home. Contractions started while there, and were regular, but I only dilated 1cm. The doctor credits the abdominal pain to carrying very low with very weak muscles. She said she could tell that the musculature was stretched thin because she could see baby's movements clearly without even palpating. She recommended a support belt, even if I only used it a few days, and sent me to labor at home.

We got home soon after 8am Thursday, and I proceeded to sleep most of the day while Erik took on the boys. I had the genius idea to try using our jersey-knit-fabric baby carrier to help support my belly once I dared to stand up and it made a huge difference. I had found a pelvic tuck-and-lift exercise that I intended to try anyway with my low belly, so this made it very easy to do. It entails manually lifting the belly during a contraction while tucking the pelvis in and bending the knees, for ten consecutive contractions. This presumably gets baby over the pubic bone and into the pelvic cavity, also coercing her to rotate into an optimal position if necessary. Contractions had continued most of the day at regular intervals and were around 5min apart at this point, so it was a straightforward activity. I think ultimately, it worked magic, because my pain went from a 7-8 at the hospital, to a 5 late Thursday, and ultimately, was nonexistent when active labor began. My belly felt and appeared higher than it had been as well, reducing that abdominal strain, with much less overhang over my pubic bone and a much more heartburny, cut-off-air-supply feeling at my breastbone.

Thursday night, contractions all but disappeared, so everyone got pretty solid sleep. Friday, I craved oatmeal for breakfast, despite it being an unfriendly gestational diabetic breakfast, but I needn't have worried about that--my appetite remained nearly nonexistent. It was extremely hard to choke down food these two days, made worse by the guilt that I should keep my energy up for active labor. I learned that I was likely experiencing "prodromal labor," which is essentially when early labor comes in fits and starts. It features very real contractions, at regular intervals, with real pain, that are productive at effacing and dilating the cervix, but never seem to amount to much. It can last up to a month before active labor begins. After a quiet morning, mine started up again in the afternoon at 15min apart, then progressed to 10min apart, and disappeared at bedtime. I resigned myself to this pattern for days on end. On the one hand, prodromal labor often shortens active labor which is nice, and gives you a chance to practice relaxation and breathing techniques, but on the other, it's total crap for morale and is physically taxing. Plus, who wants to be in limbo?! Either baby is coming or she's not...!

Around 1am Saturday, an extra hard, long contraction woke me up, and it was followed by three more before I finally got out the timer. They were between 60-90 seconds long, every 5-6 minutes. (Everything prior had been a minute or less long, with less intensity.) I got up to shower and move around, figuring they would stop if it was more prodromal labor. But they didn't. So then I thought, maybe they'll stop when I lay back down. But they didn't. After a few that required serious concentration, I was ready to hit the hospital. I could only take so much solo. Our sweet neighbor came over at 3:30am to stay with the boys, and off we went, with contractions every 3-4min.

I was admitted at 4:15am, at about 4cm dilated. I had been waffling about an epidural--I had one with Lucian, with a bad experience, and had no choice but to skip it with Lionel. So having a choice now was tough. The thought of getting hooked up to an IV, waiting for labs to come back, talk with the anesthesiologist, sit very still while they hooked it up to my back, the chance that I would be a passive agent at delivery... the hassle hardly seemed worth the (sheer bliss of) numbness. On the other hand, being a hero for hours upon hours as I slooooowly dilated was not something I had the morale to do. So a rock and a hard place. I got the IV drip just in case (extra fluids never hurt), but the conversation pretty much ended after that, because things moved quickly, thank heavens.

Within an hour I was at 6cm, which is rapid progress. It was the same every contraction: Erik would put his hands on my shoulders and apply pressure, and I begged him to give me a pep talk (even though I hate pep talks and he hates giving pep talks and also, he sucks at giving pep talks), while I inhaled, then moaned deeply, 5-8 times. Breathing was the thing I did poorly with Lionel and I didn't want to make the same mistake this time. The very sweet nurse, who stayed with us the whole time, constantly said, "Good job, you're doing great" about my breathing. At some point, I told her, "Tell me I'm one of the best you've ever seen," (Again, seeking that pep talky validation, haha) and she said, "You're really doing everything so well! Your Blah-Blah Breathing Technique is perfect. Do you do yoga?" And I almost laughed, because me, do yoga? Maybe four times in my life. I suck at breathing, that's why I DON'T do yoga. Ha! But maybe this will initiate me to a yoga practice since I apparently am capable of being a pro breather.

I had the urge to pee around this point, but the act of squatting on the toilet squared up the pressure way too much, so my grand plans of walking and moving during labor went right out the window then, and I just stayed in the bed. But it was really great to feel like that was 100% my choice, which was not an autonomy I felt I had with Lucian and Lionel.

Things got pretty dire at 7.5-8cm. It was totally textbook. That's when women tend to want to give up. To think they can't do it. They really need to gather themselves between contractions so aren't chatty or cheerful. The sounds of labor follow a certain pitch and scale. But damn, it was really hard. During the car ride, I had explained to Erik that the pain during a contraction was like changing gears in a car, with identifiable levels requiring deep breathes, then faster deep breathes, then a low moan with each breathe, then a louder moan, etc. You can physically feel the uterus kind of inch upward, like drawing up a curtain, bunching at the top to dilate at the bottom. Each time it bunches, the pain amps up. And from 8-10cm, that curtain was totally being yanked into place within me. And I couldn't find the corresponding response, since I was already moaning and groaning up a storm and had nowhere else to go. Especially when the urge to push kicked in, when it felt like my uterus was squeezing so tightly, I had no choice but to join it.

The one thing that got me through that last 10 minutes before pushing was a cherry popsicle. I was drenched in sweat, and couldn't open my eyes, and the contractions came every 1min, and I was so tired and just wanted to rest, and the thought of that icy sweet relief got me through each contraction because I couldn't wait for another taste. It was a perfect gift.

The team assembled quickly as I escalated. My waters hadn't ruptured throughout ALL of this, and I felt enormous pressure. I just wanted to push, if only to force that pressure away. Two residents managed the delivery and through my last 1-3 contractions as I begged them to let me push, they said they wanted to wait for the attending physician. F*** that, man. I know there are protocols that they need to follow, but I feel like they had enough notice to get themselves organized. I recall mention of baby's heart rate slowing down and I think that was the main motivator for them to let me push. Apparently the attending physician WAS present, but I never registered her entrance. They poked that amniotic sac, and oh, the relief as the clear fluid poured out. Only not. I recall pushing being a welcomed reprieve from contractions with Lionel, something I bore cheerfully, but I wanted this baby OUT. I didn't pay any attention to riding the waves or pausing between contractions, I just inhaled and pushed, inhaled and pushed. Erik thinks it lasted for three contractions. I think it was for maybe 6-8 counts of 10, which didn't necessarily correspond with contractions. Who cares. At some point I was positive her head was out, but when I asked, they said she was only just crowning. Which made me push harder, damn it.

Within probably five minutes though, she slithered out, 1hr 45min after I set foot in the delivery room, and they put her right on me. She gurgled and cried right away so the neonatal team didn't have to sweep her off, though they did assess her right away and she passed with flying colors. Delivering the placenta, an unpleasant memory from my other two births entailing much unceremonious yanking of the umbilical cord, was no big deal this time, requiring only two small pushes. As they rinsed me off, someone (maybe it was the attending physician) said, "Does it make it better to know you had zero tearing?!" So no stitches for me. A nice reward I suppose, though things are so messed up from the waist down postpartum, it doesn't seem like such a huge perk. Maybe I'll be grateful in a few days, when the swelling has gone down and I'm not using sitz baths. I don't know. Tearing was never one of my big hangups.

They brought her right back for skin to skin contact. She was so peaceful, though alert, and had no trouble starting to nurse. In fact, she's a champ breastfeeder with a hearty appetite and thank goodness--they have to check her blood sugar at least six times, and get good readings before we're discharged because of the gestational diabetes. But go me for managing my sugar well enough for her not to tank. Also, because she's considered preterm (by only two days but still), all the usual concerns about weight gain and jaundice are especially heightened. Despite being only 5lb 15oz, all the medical staff assess her to be very healthy, appearing more advanced than her gestational age. So it was just time for baby girl to come out!

Erik says he was really impressed by me throughout. I seemed calm and in control, did a great job breathing, managed the pain well, and did everything like a champ. It feels good to hear, of course. But despite having that same sense myself--I knew what was going on and what to do this third time around--coming out of labor and delivery, all I've felt is relief, with a slight tinge of negativity. It was a hard battle won. Such a hard battle. The pregnancy wore on me. The gestational diabetes wore on me. The prodromal labor and abdominal pain wore on me. So my feelings of, "Whoa, that was really something, can I try it again and do better?" after Lucian, and "Whoa, I delivered a baby in an hour with no epidural, I'm a rockstar!" after Lionel, are in sharp contrast to a feeling of not wanting to do this again for a long, long time. If ever.

Another way I know labor impacted me differently this time, is that when they gave me Pitocin to control the bleeding immediately after delivery, each tiny little cramp I felt entered my psyche as, "Oh God no, not another contraction," and I braced myself. It took quite awhile to mentally accept that it was over. So it caused a little emotional trauma I think.

Finally, I was so excited to write out Lucian and Lionel's birth stories. It was cathartic. A processing mechanism. Something I had to do before I could get any sleep. This time, while I've still written all this out in less than 12 hours following her birth, it came from a place of, "I guess I gotta document this one too," despite the strong desire to just leave it in my memory. Perhaps that means I did a proper job of emotionally processing in the moment. Or perhaps I'm just so bone-weary from these hard years of childbirth and child-rearing, it feels like an excessive mental exercise. Regardless, I've written the thing now, and I know I won't regret it!

Erik is bringing the boys now with cupcakes to celebrate Celia's birthday. I can't wait for them to meet her. And I can't wait to eat a cupcake.

A Guide to 3,000 Year Old Xi’an China

Being the former capital of China, Xi’an is often called the birthplace of China. It was the capital of 13 imperial dynasties – in which various architectural structures have been preserved up to this day. More importantly, it is home to one of UNESCO’s world heritage sites: the Terracotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty. There is no doubt that Xi’an has a richer historical heritage compared to all of China.

Geographically located in the heart of China, Xi’an is a popular tourist destination and there are various ways to visit this city. For international visitors, air travel is the most popular choice and getting to Xi’an usually involves various connecting flights, as direct flights are only offered within China. Other choices include car rentals, bus, or train.

Travelling to Xi’an:

If you’re someone coming from the Philippines, such as myself, getting to Xi’an is a breeze. The easiest way to get there is to take a direct flight to Hong Kong and book a connecting flight to Xi’an China. Personally, I prefer to travel with Cathay Pacific for the airline company has a subsidiary airline -- Cathay Dragon -- that flies directly from Hong Kong to Xi’an.

If you are coming from another city within China such as Shanghai, the flight to Xi’an is a 2hr 40min direct plane ride. These are flights held daily by popular airlines such as: China Eastern 2215, Air China 1216, and Shanghai Airlines 9201.

For those who opt to ride a train from Shanghai, it takes about 6-7.5hrs on a high-speed train.

For those coming from Beijing, you can take a 2hr 10min plane ride. Airlines that offer flights en route to Xi’an include: China Southern 3173, Hainan 7137, Air China 1231, and China Eastern 2102.

For those who opt to ride a train from Beijing, you can take a 5hr high-speed train ride from Beijing.

Note: Trains can be cheaper compared to plane rides depending on the seat classes and the type of train you choose. Taking a train is particularly enjoyable if you’re the type of person who likes to enjoy the scenery as you course through your journey.

Getting Around in Xi’an:

Xi’an has one of the most convenient transportation hubs in Central and Western China. From the airport, you’ll find many taxi cabs to the city proper. There are also freelance drivers available, as their cars don’t have meters, just always remember to – haggle haggle...and haggle!

The wide range of urban transportation can give you different travel experiences within the city. Like most developed cities, you have options like metro lines (so far, only lines 1, 2, and 3 are operational), buses, and taxis. If you want to try something unique that will give you the chance to kick in some cardio work during your vacation – you have another option: the bicycle. There are some tuk-tuks (three-wheeled bicycle) in certain areas; however, there may be certain areas that are inaccessible.

What To Do:

A visit to the mausoleum and the Terracotta Warriors cannot be missed! My family and I were able to haggle a good price from our freelance driver when he picked us up at the airport, and found out he also does city tours. We decided to wait and check on the hotel prices to compare which offering has the better price, then found out that the hotel’s tour packages were twice the amount from what our friendly driver has offered us – which didn’t come as a surprise really. Let me share to you our itinerary then give you other suggestions.

If you arrived to Xi’an from Hong Kong, there is a high chance that you will arrive at your hotel (including immigration, travel time to city center, and settling in the hotel) a little after 4PM. There’s no time to waste, after rejuvenating yourself from your trip, grab a cab at your hotel lobby and go straight to the SOUTH city gate (personally, I think it has the best view of the city). Spend a good amount of time basking in the sunset and walking around the city walls.

On the next day, head straight to the Qin mausoleum and Terracotta grounds. It takes about a half-hour car drive to get to the Terracotta Warriors & Qin Mausoleum UNESCO grounds with an admission fee of 120-150 CNY (17-22 USD or 800-1,221 PHP). Upon entering the site you will be greeted with a lot of tour guides. I suggest you book a tour with them because it is quite impossible to appreciate everything without understanding any of its important remarks. There are 3 Terracotta pits, which are tagged by the order of their excavation and discoveries. These sites represent the chosen military formation for guarding emperor Qin’s tomb.

Pit #1 is the largest, with columns of soldiers at the frontier and chariots at the back of the formation.

Pit #2, northeast of pit #1, contains about a thousand warriors and 90 wooden chariots

Pit #3 represents the command center of the armed forces, with 68 warriors, a war chariot, and 4 horses.

It can be very crowded nearing lunchtime and the late afternoons. Hence, it would be preferable to reach the site early in the morning to get a good photo with the warriors at pit #1 (it is the best pit for pictures because the columns are clearly defined). Do not worry about not being able to go near the warriors there are photo booths situated around the grounds for you to take pictures of life-sized replicas.

Note: No one is allowed to go near the warriors because they are still in very sensitive conditions. Extra measures have been taken to preserve the coating and the quality of these statues. In fact, upon excavation some statues even deteriorated due to the unmatched atmosphere of the present compared to when they were molded 2,000 years ago.

Going back to the city proper you can tell your guide to allot some time for a quick stop at the Hua Qing Palace since it’s just on the way. Having a guide at the palace would also be preferable if you really want to understand the history of the palace and its quarters instead of just wandering around the halls, temples, and rooms without any understanding of its historical connection.

The last stop on this route is the Muslim Quarter. Here, you will find the best mix of Middle Eastern and Chinese cuisine. It is basically the Las Vegas strip or Champ Elysées of food. They also sell miniature Terracotta Warriors within the small shops at a better price with a much better quality than the other street stalls. Of course, you can also find a wide array of souvenir items within this bustling street.

One thing that you should never miss out on is the famous Biang-Biang noodles. The locals stretch out the strands of noodles and slam them on the prepping table, which causes a loud bang, hence it’s name – Biang-Biang. Unique only to Xi’an, these 1-inch thick noodles will definitely give you one of the best hearty meals of your life!

Another must-try is the beef kebab that they sell on the streets. You can even see the locals rind off the meat directly from the beef that is hung at the side of their food cart.

Of course, there are other things to do in Xi’an apart from this itinerary. These are sites that you simply must see for yourself in order to be awed by its sheer existence:

Where to stay:

We stayed at the Sofitel Xi’an on Renmin Square, which costs about 673-901 CNY (100-134 USD or 5,028-6,738 PHP) a night. Featuring a blend of modern and Chinese architecture, it has 5 different buildings consisting of hotel rooms with different views of the city. You can find restaurants on each building offering different kinds of cuisines. This hotel boasts a really good location within the city. It is right in the middle of everything. You’ll find that it is just 1km away from the metro station, 2km from the Great Mosque, a quick 5min cab ride to the city gates, and 36km from the XianYang International Airport. Personally, I really liked this hotel because I didn’t have any difficulties communicating with the staff at all. They are very accommodating when it comes to questions about the different buildings of their hotel grounds, food services, and tour packages.

If you rely on the internet for maps and updates about the current trends, must-try eats, and interesting things to see - then Wi-Fi is extremely important for you. Now we all know that China has this intense firewall where it blocks off most social media like: GOOGLE, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and sometimes even YAHOO! So basically, all of the important social media accounts are inaccessible right? Simple. Just download the BetternNet app and turn it on once you reach China. It connects you to another satellite so the Chinese firewall won’t think that you or your device is actually in China.

Most of the stores accept credit cards, of course, but the food stalls in the Muslim Quarter only accepts cash. During my time in the city, I didn’t see any ATMs. So to be sure, it would be better if you would just bring in extra cash instead.

For the adrenaline junkies, if you want to climb Hua Shin Mountain, just always remember to check for weather conditions and have proper training as it is actually one of the toughest climbs in the world!

how they met:

they met @ a clothing store !!! the stylists had finally caught on that yoongi had been taking home his ~work clothes because honestly he had been a lil too lazy to shop or dress himself lately and after he gave them back he was left w very little clean things and didn’t want to go through their communal laundry pile n figure out what was his so he decided to just shop instead. so he went out w the standard celebrity hat + mask disguise combo and tbh noticed y/n working in the shop right away bc she was in the darks section hidden between two racks of sweaters n secretly using her phone. and it was kinda cute n funny to him 1. bc she was slacking off during work and 2. bc she was dressed in white n pastel pink so she did more standing out than blending in. n so yoongi pretended to look thru a rack of black sweaters for a few mins before he cleared his throat n said “is playing hide and seek part of the job?” and y/n obvi jumped bc she didn’t even realize someone had been in that section and dropped her phone on the ground. so she was pouty and ready to kinda say something bratty back but as soon as she took one look @ yoongi n his hat + mask she bursted into laughter and said “you look like a walking police sketch” min yoongi pretty much lost to the demonic possession that is love @ that very moment

her parents run an art gallery in gangnam !!! they always gave her lots of freedom 2 pursue her own interests so when she was little she did everything from piano to taekwondo to dance to collecting dragon ball figurines but also rilakkumas. she never rly had 2 worry abt anything bc her parents are super supportive. and now……..because she’s always had so much freedom, she doesn’t exactly know what she wants to do w her life ??? because a lot of things interest her ?? and choosing one thing doesn’t seem like a decision she’s ready to make yet !?? so she got the job @ the clothing store bc she wanted some responsibility (even tho she breaks company policy n is on her phone half of her shift) and routine. n it made her feel a little less guilty abt being ~taken care of i guess ???? but tbh she doesn’t give herself enough credit bc she does a lot for other ppl ??? esp for her parents like she’s always helping out @ the gallery and running errands hmm other things. she has an older brother who studies film (her fam is generally v artistic) n he’s quite serious n like the definition of perfect child and she likes to tease him a lot but she takes care of him a bit too she’ll call him like “ i dropped off some candles n boxes of tea @ ur apartment bc yesterday you looked so stressed u kinda resembled goku abt to go super saiyan. that can’t be good for ur health !!! take care of urself ”!!!! um tbh when yoongi n y/n were getting to know each other like ~deeply she was kinda worried that he’d be put off by her upbringing bc tho they are not completely polar opposite, his is still very very different from hers and she was afraid that maybe he’d judge her for it but it wasn’t like that @ all !!!! yoongi was v happy & relived (?!!!) to hear this bc he knew that she had 3 pillars of support if he couldn’t be there for some reason and also it was so……….. relieving………. for his heart to know that she hadn’t been hardened by the world ??? and like y/n had been studying his reaction super closely totally prepared for some judgment but the only thought in yoongi’s head was “thank god thank god thank god” because y/n is like his own little heaven & that’s hella cheesy for him to think so it’s probably why he calls her demon instead. he likes that she has many interests because she always has something new to tell him and she knows a little abt everything so when they go out n she explains something to him he feels proud ???? and impressed and smitten ?? and not the usual annoyed bc she talks abt things a lot cuter and with less pretense than namjoon does when he’s being a know it all. but he doesn’t feel like y/n is a know it all. she’s just a sharer !!!! she wants to share everything w yoongi from random facts abt soccer or art or the extensive n complicated backstory of the band gorillaz & she gets excited about it and yoongi LOVES it !!!! he loves that when she’s excited the first thing she thinks abt is telling him so he can be excited too and he loves that he doesn’t have to guess what she’s thinking or feeling bc she tells him everything. she doesn’t hide from him and so he feels like he can’t hide from her and pushes himself to be more honest and open and it’s so relieving to finally be able to fully share himself w someone !!! the only thing that takes years off his life is that yoongi is like 90% of y/n’s impulse control (i think u could tell that in a few texts) lmao

it was predating. yoongi was walking y/n to work one morning (which….. he’d rather be sleeping but he wouldn’t be able to see her for a week after that so he decided to milk all the time he had) n they decided to stop @ custard bread lady’s shop bc it was open and on the route 2 y/n’s job so it seemed pretty convenient (they had never been there before) n the plan was to get yoongi’s black coffee & y/n’s hot chocolate n get out of there within 5mins which seems like a reasonable plan but little did they know a middle aged man from h e l l would be the customer ahead of them. & every time yoongi tells this story he swears this man must’ve had zero concept of the coffee making process bc he was like ridiculously offended that he’d have to wait a few minutes for his coffee n completely yelling @ custard bread lady for no reason which was……….delaying the production of his coffee even further. n y/n wanted to step in so bad yoongi could see it all over her face she wanted 2 straight falcon punch this middle aged dude all the way to whatever sad desk job he has for disrespecting the god they would come 2 know as custard bread lady. but he knows her. she’s too high maintence for prison. so yoongi rolls his eyes and very loudly says “just go buy a bottled coffee from f*cking starbucks if ur really in that much of a hurry” and the man turns around like what did u say u punk. who do u think you’re talking to. and yoongi has decided to just completely pretend like he didn’t say anything bc if u dont give demons like this attention they’ll eventually go away so he takes the opportunity 2 step up to the counter n is like “can we have a black coffee n hot chocolate pls we’re prepared 2 wait as long as u need” n custard bread lady is so confused bc the man is like still yelling @ yoongi (who is holding tightly onto y/n so she doesnt turn around like “HE SAIIIIIIIID JUST GO BUY A BOTTLED COFFEE FROM F*C—”) so custard bread lady prepares their order n the guy is yelling @ yoongi who is now scrolling through twitter on his phone & taking mental note of all the new curse words he’s learned from this man and eventually that dude leaves (not without threatening to find yoongi later) and custard bread lady is relieved that he’s gone & is thanking them like they’re some kind of heroes & they’re like we literally didnt do anything @ all. but she’s appreciative anyway n throws in free bread w/ their order and unknowingly changed their lives n taste buds 4ever 🍞

how they met:

they met @ uni !!! seokjin is hardly ever on campus (he’s a v busy man) so he was super super lost n confused trying to find a restroom one day. and while he was wandering through the halls he saw y/n carrying a 50 ft stack (an exaggeration) of coloring books (there’s a reason ehehheh) and even tho his bladder was abt 2 explode he ran over to help her bc it really looked like she’d fall over if a spec of dust landed on top of them. but being suddenly approached by a tall n broad (n handsome) guy startled y/n so s he fell over anyway. and seokjin laughed his rly rly loud goofy laugh as he picked up the coloring books surrounding her and made a rly cheesy "wow i didn’t think you’d fall for me this quickly" joke & @ first y/n was completely appalled but then she realized he wasn’t laughing at her he was laughing at his own joke lmao !!!! not everyone is as confident n open as seokjin he has no problem talking 2 ppl but it was kind of not the case for y/n she didn’t rly know what to say or do so he did abt 90% of the talking as he carried the coloring books (he didn’t ask abt them) to wherever they needed to go n y/n did abt 100% of the laughing bc seokjin held back a little not wanting 2 overwhelm her and because he rly liked hearing her laugh for some reason. so they get 2 where y/n needs to go n seokjin puts everything down n jokingly asks if there’s a 50ft stack of colored pencils that he also needs to bring in n she laughs again so he’s satisfied n decides to quit while he’s ahead. before he leaves he asks 4 her number and also directions to the nearest restroom !!!!!!!

she wants to be a teacher. a kindergarten or elementary school teacher❗️👩🏻‍🏫 she’s like a teaching assistant rn n she’s almoooooooost finished w school !!!! i think what she wants 2 do says a lot abt her personality. very patient very kind & gentle !!!!!! and will indulge in ~childish things like games the way seokjin does !!! but i don’t think she’s as outgoing as him she’s more introverted n shy !!!! she’s the oldest in her family n has 2-3 younger siblings so i think that’s part of the reason why she wants to work w kids so much bc she’s good w them and she loves interacting w them and she has more patience than others do so she’s rly good @ taking the time to understand them…………and seokjin lmao. she listens to him like genuinely listens & appreciates what he has to say and it rly means a lot to him bc there’s certain times when he feels under appreciated or like his voice doesn’t matter but she takes him 100% seriously. she encourages all the silly behavior he’s usually told to suppress bc that’s his charm !! and she thinks he’s sincerely funny and cute and interesting and smart. and tbh most people don’t rly remember that seokjin is his family’s maknae and being the oldest of 7 dudes was probably hard to adjust to !!! they talk abt cooking & baking !! it’s usually seokjin leading and y/n assisting but she’s the one who finds the recipes and stuff n gets so excited bc “omg seokjin is gonna LOVE this !!!!!” and tbh she’s so soft for seokjin he still flusters her a lot even tho they’ve been together for a while so whenever she calls him handsome or cute it’s not bc she knows he wants to hear it but bc she’s still like so in awe of him n probably won’t ever stop. family is so important to her & hers really ADORES seokjin like she mentioned how much her mom loves and brags abt him & that makes her so happy ! n it makes him happy too bc he fits right in & he feels like he belongs ! @ the beginning seokjin was rly worried about scaring her off bc she seemed so shy and stuff and he didn’t wanna overwhelm her but they both got comfortable super quickly bc seokjin is such an easy person to be around and once she started opening up he brought out his full personality. and it’s feels so nice to be himself and have someone w/ common interests and someone he can talk to without feeling like he’s whining. he loves her a lot like rly rly rly loves her n is willing to put aside his pride & admit that she might be the most beautiful person on this planet. he loves to take photos of her when they’re out eating n stuff n it makes her shy but he just like loves looking at her and probably spends most of the day remembering her face. but he also loves like how good she is !! like just a genuinely good person w a pure heart and he thinks it’s so cute that all the games she plays are like super mellow nintendo games like animal crossing !!! he probably bought the game too just so he could give her the fruit from his town and bury bells outside of her house. omg he probably screams when he shakes a tree and bees start chasing him and y/n thinks it’s so cute & funny to watch him panic n then complain abt his character’s visual being compromised bc of the stings. tbh they’d be THAT family that has like a yt account where seokjin uploads vids of him & his son’s mario maker map or snack reviews and u can hear y/n laughing in the background as she’s filming. good & pure.

these 2 frogs met outside a convenience store lmao !!!! u know those claw game machines where u spend like a billion quarters just to fail @ winning a plushie 50 consecutive times ??? that’s what guk was doing. mingyu made the mistake of saying those things were impossible and of course guk had to prove him wrong. honestly @ the time he didn’t even know why he had so many quarters in his wallet but he’d later find out that it was one of taehyung’s weird pranks that he’ll forever be grateful for because y/n who was eating her convenience store ramen very very slowly had been watching him lose to the machine 7 times in a row and tbh it was so f*vkifng funny to her and watching the rly cute guy getting scammed by a machine had made her forget abt the mental breakdown she had bc of exams 1hr earlier. so she stuffed her snacks in her backpack n watched him fail just once more before sauntering over as he turned to complain to his friend. y/n smiled n said hey as she put 2 quarters into the machine & guk turned around v v v startled but his surprised rounded eyes soon filled w/ awe ? admiration ? worship ? as y/n managed to successfully capture a plushie within 4 seconds n then slid it into the large pocket of his hoodie after she pulled it out of the slot. but guk couldn’t do much 2 respond bc what tf a goddess was standing in front of him??! this divine and hot as hell supreme being who conquered the cursed claw machine in 1 shot. so y/n taught him the secret to beat the game and mingyu had excused himself after the pair had won two more plushies together and guk didn’t even feel bad that he had forgotten that his friend was there bc this really really interesting convenience store girl was leaning over his shoulder n coaching him as he went for the doramon plushie and her hair smelt like strawberries. when he walked her back to her dorm there were 3 plushies in the pocket of his hoodie, one in his actual hood, 3 in y/n’s backpack and one in her arms.

a student !!! she’s a 1st yr university student. she kinda reflects where guk might be if he was a ~normal dude. i think that’s why the way they met is kinda important bc it was 2 ppl the same age @ the same place @ the same time but @ two completely diff places in life & feeling completely diff emotions. she grew up in a competitive environment bc her dad is a taekwondo instructor and her brother is a well decorated like student athlete type of thing in that sport. omg so she spent a lot of time there and idk why i gave her a tiny bit of sad story but she lived most of her life w/o her mom so it’s always been her & her dad & brother like eating take out n watching sports together @ home and that was more than enough 4 her. only her & yoongi’s y/n & hoseok’s y/n seem to be genuinely interested in idol groups and for her i think it’s bc she rly turned to girl group members for her female role models n stuff !!!!! she’s living away from her dad & brother for university & that’s probably why she was having a hard time that night they met. and bc guk knows she’s alone he gives her a lot of attention (in f2l texts he always wanted to talk on the phone or FaceTime even tho they weren’t together yet & he talked abt how he loves being w her even tho sometimes he’s just keeping her company while she studies) guk’s y/n is smart and witty and confident and guk really really really thinks she’s wonder woman or something. in his eyes she can do ANYTHING they joke a loooooot and roast each other a looooooooot but he truly believes she’s the most capable person in the world and he thinks super super super highly of her. she’s funny and dependable and ambitious and understanding and she respects the creative direction of his dubsmash vids lmao. bc they joke around so much guk always takes the time to let her know how much he cares abt her so she doesn’t miss understand. like in the christmas texts and valentine’s texts he’s one of the only members 2 rly pour out his feelings bc he makes sure to put in the effort during special days. y/n sometimes tells him that he doesn’t need to bc she knows without him having to say it and she doesn’t want him to feel pressured but he thinks it’s really important that she hears it from him. it’s a real concern for him he’s mentioned it a few times that his instinct is to show affection through teasing her & memes but that’s bc he was scared of the vulnerability @ first but now he’s a self proclaimed Emo™ and let’s her know that she’s loved by him. their personalities are really really similar so they understand each other easily but are different enough that they compliment each other well and are literally each other’s partner in crime (they talk abt how much trouble they get into). idk if any of u watch running man but there’s this episode when haha’s wife guest stars and they’re paired as a team and the dynamic is sooooooo guk & y/n bc even tho they’re competitive and she’s yelling @ him to endure just a little bit longer so they can win the challenge she’s still being like affectionate n like calling him pet names while coaching him and after he gets eliminated from another challenge and it’s her turn he does the same for her and they won the show that day by like playing to the other teams weaknesses and gassing each other up @ the same time omg & the last challenge was something romantic like they had to both pick a random floor of the building to meet on and if they chose the same one then they’d win and they both picked their anniversary and won & it was so funny & cute bc they were like screaming. and that’s how guk & y/n are. partners in crime but @ the end of the day Emos In Luv.

they met…………@ the dmv hehehehehehh! jimin can’t drive yet but he really really wants to and in korea u gotta take one written test n two driving tests. mini is there for the first driving test n he’s sosososo nervous bc if he fails this he really won’t hear the end of it from the others……….especially jeon jeongguk. he’s gone over the procedure abt a thousand times in his head and he’s convinced that he’s ready but then the small waiting room door opens and in walks y/n dressed in all white & her hair in pretty bun (she looks like she has v important plans after this) and she’s reading the driving manual they gave him after his written test and jimin is surprised bc he for sure thought he’d get celeb privilege n take the test alone (plus its early morning who else would be here). y/n sits beside him and notices he’s not studying @ all so she’s like hey wanna share my book !!!! and omg shy jimin is like o….kay…….sure as she scoots closer to him. n jimin pretends to read the left page but rly he’s looking @ her through his peripheral n listening to her whisper the ~important things on the right page to herself and it’s kinda calming but also making him incredibly nervous. n when y/n notices he’s totally not reading she closes the book and introduces herself and jimin (v shyly) does the same n she tells him that she thinks she has a 3% chance of passing considering that her brother has been teaching her & it took him 3 tries to get his license n mini laughs @ this and says that he has a 5% chance of passing because bc he only studied last night and exactly 0 ppl have been teaching him how to drive. so they go out to take their tests and jimin cheers for y/n and she fails n y/n cheers for jimin & he fails but it’s ok and jimin’s like “it looked like u were playing v bad gta” n y/n’s like “well u looked like u were 8th place in mariokart” and while the instructor went to schedule another test for them they were talking abt the teasing they’d get from their friends n jimin was describing guk like an elementary school bully & y/n was like “ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ he’s probably just jealous bc ur more handsome than he is” & jimin was gooooooone

wow a BIG CUTIE a real flower girl like if jimin was born a girl he might be the cute n small n secretly devilish y/n !!! i imagine her parents to be business people or at least someone mildly important bc she always maintains a clean appearance (like even when they met early in the morning @ the dmv jimin made note of how well put together she looked) and i think she likes that image and so does jimin bc he always feels like he’s meeting up w a princess (except on their secret shinee nights……..that’s strictly business) they can relate to each other in that sense bc even though they’re both very much themselves most of the time there’s still pressure to maintain a certain image in the back of their mind n i think that’s why they clicked right away when they met bc as soon as they stopped pretending to study and joked abt how unprepared they were it instantly became so comfortable. they can admit their faults & insecurities to each other w/o dwelling on it so it’s rly rly rly refreshing n jimin always feels like he’s floating on a cloud when he’s with y/n. she adores him really really adores him so much and i think it’s obvious (even tho she teases him bc his reactions are so cute) bc everything reminds her of him ! jimin has said that she thinks everything small and round looks like him but i really think it’s bc having tiny jimin’s around when she misses him gives her some comfort !!! i don’t think he’s caught on yet bc he still has a hard time comprehending that someone likes him that much & reciprocates his feelings & attachment 100%. she’s the most insecure abt her bf being around so many beautiful ppl !!! n it’s not even that bad like she only ever mentions one group and the only reason it makes her uncomfortable is bc jimin has talked abt them before and jimin is the best guy in the world 2 her so there’s small feelings of “ah am i good enough for him?” but she usually fights those thoughts off. they have so much fun together & they love meeting up outside bc being cooped up is not what they’re abt !!!! but omg jimin is so determined not to waste any opportunity to spend time w her that he sometimes meets up when he’s v exhausted and ends up falling asleep while they’re out (it’s happened twice in daily texts hehe) and y/n doesn’t mind bc she thinks he’s cute even tho it hurts her that he works himself so hard !!! but she’s okay w/ looking after him while he sleeps bc at least she knows for sure that he’s resting. jimin adores her just as much !!! he thinks she’s so funny & amazing & cute & smart and they’re always giggling abt something or talking abt something excitingly but even if they aren’t doing much like if he’s just resting on her lap before he has to leave for a schedule he still feels like he’s on a high. and nothing makes him happier than checking his phone after a super long day n seeing a bunch of goodnight selcas and msgs~ and he appreciates that she feels the need to take care of him bc she’s never really had to take care of anyone before (she's family maknae) and that must mean that he’s rly dear to her so holds that special feeling and takes it with him wherever he goes~

okay the secret shinee thing is a………….game? a competition? initially meant to be a stress reliever but it got way too competitive and complicated over time lmfao okay it’s like competitive noraebang + chubby bunny + other special rules !!!!! so the other person picks a shinee song (member solos are allowed too but usually saved for the final round) for you and u have to sing it with 2 marshmallows in your mouth and during a specific members part you have to dance too. and there’s a banned word that u can’t say & u get 5 points deducted from ur score every time u say it and every time u forget to dance. so u have to try to get a high score despite all the challenges and whoever has the highest combined score @ the end wins. okok for example if mini was choosing for you he’d say something like

the reason they don’t want anyone to know abt it is because 1. it’s their special game n they’re worried their friends (taehyungandgukbutudidn’thearthatfromthem) might try to take it over 2. they rly look SO ridiculous while playing 3. jimin is actually friends w/ shinee (taemin) and if they found out abt this he’d be mortified 4. they take the competition too seriously heheh :p
