Since you guys liked my Pixal return to Dragon Rising design idea so much, I figured you guys would appreciate a little comic about how her return would go if I had it my way still

Ninjago headcanons again but my high school with no powers AU (post 1/5)

This will be a serie of 5 posts with 3 characters each time. Any ideas, suggestions, headcanons or anything to complete mine is appreciated !

Kai Smith

• is 17 y/o

• is in 11th grade

• uses he/they pronouns but prefers being seen as a guy

• androgyne and pansexual

• are Mexican by their mother and Japanese by their father

• fluent speakers in Spanish and Japanese

• he’s between 5’7 and 5’8 tall (somewhere between 1m70 and 1m72)

• they’re the 3rd older after Zane and Cole

• they’re born on 18 august

• has I.E.D (intermittent explosive disorder)

• has insomnia since the burglary happened (in my AU, Kai and Nya’s parents died stopping burglars who entered in the house, Kai were 10 and Nya 9)

• everyone knows him and his relation with his siblings and how you shouldn’t hurt or annoy them if you don’t want to go to the hospital (that’s what happened to Lloyd’s bullies in middle school)

• due to what they did to Lloyd’s bullies, they had to pay for the damage and the treatment. It took them almost a year and half to find the money

• has a LOT of followers on his socials, especially instagram

• is good at English, P.E., politics and social classes and surprisingly good at art (only at whatever touching fashion like anatomy, outfit sketches and drawing different textures/fabrics)

• wants to be a model or work in fashion industry

• has dated a lot of people in their life but it never lasted more then two months because of his I.E.D that their partner didn’t understand or search to understand, his habit to never seek help or say anything about his feelings

��� is currently dating Skylor since the beginning of summer but they realise that they have maybe catch feelings for Cole

• is the only one with Jay to have a driver license

• always getting in trouble with school or students because they fight a lot (is easily provoked)

• work hard after school everyday (he’s overexploited by his boss and knows it but can’t quit his job because he couldn’t afford the apartment or pay any food)

• hate seeking help, see it as weakness

• his insomnia get worse due to his night job and homeworks

• hide his dark rings with a bit of makeup

• was extremely afraid to wear dresses and skirts, anything for « girls » at school but since 10th grade they found the confidence to wear whatever they want and enjoys it

• loves help Lloyd with his art project when they need a model

• goes to art galleries with Lloyd and anything linked to fashion with Skylor and Cole

• have his right eye that moves more slowly than the other and his right pupil bigger and the left one because of one of the burglar : one of them was about to hit Nya by throwing some glass at her and he got between them to protect his sister and his upper eyes take some glass and that stupid little idiot tried to remove it but only make it worse and now, plus making his vision worse they also have a scar now

• loves going out at night with Cole when they end up high and talk about life and philosophical things in the moonlight

• organise hangouts with the entire friend group to the mall when he has enough money and they always ending up to do a sleepover at someone’s house (usually Jay’s because his parents are the kindest people ever)

• ALWAYS wear one black converse and the other red that he wrote on some lyrics of Lana del Ray « Say yes to me… » and « If you dance,… » that he match with Cole’s converse

• always on energy drinks to stay awake

• have an amazing sense of style and can make a beautiful outfit with the bare minimum, and can spend HOURS in a thrift store

• is a party animal since he can rarely go to parties with his job but those parties usually finished with him fighting or being so high or drunk he can’t even go home (he already spend a night outside bcz of that)

• they hate themselves for being a such problem and « bad brother », for being not mentally stable or economically stable as well

• they stop taking their medicine for their I.E.D because he couldn’t pay for both of his treatments and Lloyd’s ADHD medication

• used to skip meals to feed Nya and Lloyd, sometimes does it when it’s the end of the month and he can barely buy enough food for two persons

• has a HUGE crush on Cole since the beginning of the year

• was afraid for Nya when she gets in her first relationship but relax and learn to trust her and saw there were nothing to be worry about

• their fav artists are Hozier and Lady Gaga

• always ask to their therapist what Lloyd said to her but she always give answers like : "Kai, would you, please, considerate to turn off your big brother mode for an hour ? "

• doesn’t know to swim since they’re hella scared of water

• can plays drums

• definitely a mama’s boy

• has a naturally hotter body temperature

Cole Hence Brookstone

• is 18 y/o

• is in 11th grade because he repeat his 9th grade

• uses he/him and sees himself as a cis man

• gay

• is Algerian on his mother side and Indian on his father side

• fluent speaker in Arabic, Hindi and French and is learning Korean and Spanish

• he’s the second tallest after Zane : he’s between 6’2 and 6’3 (between 1m90 and 1m93)

• always sleeping in classes he found boring because his sleep schedule is a totally mess (goes with Kai in the back of the class and do their nap together)

• he’s the oldest of the group, being born one month before Zane

• doesn’t know what to do after school and he feels anxious about it because all his friends have already some ideas

• writes songs/poems in class in a notebook where he writes about his life/traumas, his thoughts and draws some doodles, he considers it like his diary and never shows it to anyone

• he has been diagnosed with an E.D (boulimia) at 6 and even tho he tried to handle it, he always has like severe periods in a year where he loses a lot of weight and feels extremely tired and bad, at the point he did a depression in 9th grade. It was already hard to get ready for school and go to classes so doing homework and listening to the teachers was almost impossible that’s why he repeated the year

• he get, followed after by Nya and Lloyd when they get 16, a motorcycle licence one week after he got 16. He needed it to drive himself to school since his dad isn’t always at home because of his work and since he’s often drunk he prefers to go by himself

• he smokes and very rarely dr8gs with Kai. Lloyd often ask if he could pay them some cigarettes but Cole never does because 1 : "you’re literally a walking angel alive, you’re too pure for that shit" and 2 : " You want me dead and your siblings in jail ??"

• genuinely DESPISE P.E. class because of the changing room mostly. When he was in 8th grade he has been bullied for being gay and “watching boys changing in P.E.” and has been beaten up by his classmates for that. The year after the boulimia didn’t help and he would constantly comparing himself to other and thought he eat too much and doesn’t do enough sport, adding to that the comments of the P.E. teacher

• never goes outside without his headphones and a pair of earbuds too in case his headphones die

• people usually think he’s tough but actually he’s the kindest and sweetest guy ever and gives the best hugs when you need it

• does sleepovers with Skylor and Vania or just Vania but Nya, Pix and Skylor often invite themselves to the party

• speaks to Skylor in Arabic just to watch others’s faces

• learns Korean to understand Jay and Spanish to understand Kai, Nya and Skylor

• plays guitar and has a band with Morro, Akita and Vania

• he does not sing because he just can’t but he can perfectly do rap and beatbox

• he has daddy issues not due to his family legacy but mostly due to his father who can’t make his grieve of his wife and drink

• can do breakdance but will never do it in high school

• protects Lloyd every times he sees they’re being annoyed

• has a ton of pairs of converse but one black with the lyrics « say yes to heaven » and « I’ll dance » that Kai and him matched

• BIG HUGE fan of Cigarettes after sex (his fav songs of them are Sunsetz and Cry)

• his fav artists are Cigarettes after sex, TV girl, Arctic Monkeys, Conan Gray and Pyo (he’s a little singer go listen to his songs they’re worth it *^*)

• his coming out to his father was an absolute disaster and is one of his biggest traumas : his dad saw him and Kai kissing each other one day, so when he explained that Kai was more than a friend and that he was attracted to men, they had a huge fight while Kai was trying to defend his boyfriend but he had to go outside to calm himself down while he heard the screams and shoutings of the two men. After like a half of an hour, his father decided to kick him out of the house. He had to sleep at the Smith’s. The next day he tried to talk to his dad but he was drunk and told him he had no son, that he was dead and that’s why he threw all his stuff out of the window. Cole just took the stuff that was still intact -which means not a lot- by holding tears and leave the house

• spend two months in a hospital because of his ED which became so severe he lost 15 or 20kg (~33 and 44 ibs), he had a constant headache, was very tired close to the dehydration

• loves skateboarding with Morro and Lloyd

• after getting out of the hospital and tried his best to recover of both his traumas and his ED he get a tattoo for this : a dragon with lilies’s petals and flames

• has a big crush on Kai since middle school and Jay was the first to noticed it

• him and Jay have the most philosophical and deepest conversations ever about love and relationships, at 3am, calling each other on discord and playing horror video games

• studies with Zane (at least tries to) and our poor Zane had to survive to a freaking out lost Cole in math : " WHAT’S x ? WHAT’S y ? WHERE ARE NUMBERS WHEN YOU NEED IT ??!! "

• goes to gym with Zane, Kai and Nya

• mama’s boy club with Kai

Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon

• just turned 16 a few weeks ago

• are in 11th grade too (skipped 1st grade)

• use they/them pronouns and identify as a trans man

• thought they were biromantic and asexual but after a sexuality identity crisis that everyone has been, they discovered they were aroace

• they have autism and ADHD

• is Japanese on his mother side and Chinese on his father side

• can speak Japanese and Spanish thanks to the Smith siblings

• they’re 5’2 (1m57) will have growth spurt and be taller than Kai, being like 5’9-5’10 (1m77)

• they’re the youngest in the group

• has been abandoned by their parents in an orphanage at a very young age because their parents are criminals (i will develop this point later because i have literally no idea for now ;-;) but they ran away because of the way kids were treated. They found Kai after a month to live in the streets and quickly bonded after a talk. Kai decided to help Lloyd after heard their story and brought them home

• when they entered in the first time in a school they’re like 5 and it was in a kindergarten and they feel really different of the others kids, feel lost and overwhelmed by all the social interactions like at the orphanage but worse and cried almost all the morning before a teacher came and help them to calm down. And it was like that for a whole week, Lloyd didn’t wanted to disappoint Kai or Nya or took the risk of being rejected again so the teacher helped them to talk to Kai when he picked them up. Kai contacted a doctor who told them to see a psychiatrist for that case. So Kai contacted his therapist who diagnosed his I.E.Dto make an appointment. She was very kind with Lloyd and after a few months she diagnosed them both autism and ADHD

• are very intelligent but started getting bag grades after 6th grade because of the school system that is absolutely terrible for them with their ADHD and autism

• they’ve been bullied since 5th grade and started developing a school phobia and since they say everything to their siblings, Kai and Nya let them stay at home when they don’t feel like to go to school

• Jay helps them handle their ADHD since he has it too and also gives them tips about their transition since Jay’s also trans. Zane give them advices on their autism since they are autistic

• are extremely good at art and their whole bedroom is literally an art studio with graffiti on their walls, a lot of finished or unfinished paintings and a LOT of sheets filled with sketches and drawings on the floor or on his desk

• own like 6-7 sketchbooks, have started them all but never finished them (yet they still hope to finish them)

• have a few hyperfixations and the biggest ones are definitely sharks and video games (Jay bought them some books about sharks and gives them some of his own video games and Cole some plushies of sharks)

• have two hoodies (one green that looks like a frog and an another black that looks like a cat) that they put on when they feel overwhelmed by the noise around them

• have tried to learn how to play guitar but failed miserably so instead they just play violin and they’re amazingly amazing at it ✨

• have wayyyyyy too much plushies that they found on thrift store, theirs siblings/friends gave them or just found them in public places being lost for days. Lloyd gaves names and pronouns to each of them

• used to wear glasses but always ended up broken either by their bullies or by themselves so Pixal and Zane designed, with the help of their parents contact lenses for their 13th birthday

• vans shoes lover

• have for best friend Akita, a girl in their class and with who they have their best laughs in class. She’s their confidante after Kai and Nya

• often skating with Cole and Morro

• teach Akita how to do skateboarding

• their fav artists are Cavetown, The Neighbourhood, Feldup (mostly known in France even tho his songs are in English) and Hozier (thanks to Kai)

• always draw in class except History and English classes, their fav (they’re kind of history nerd)

• have depression episodes more or less serious but they are cutting themselves during those and try to attempt to k!ll themselves (mostly due to bullying and their poor self esteem)

• when they have nightmares they go to sleep with their favourite plushies in Kai’s bed, with Nya when she does nightmares and they both hug Kai for comfort and warmth because Kai has a naturally hotter body temperature

• often think about how they got adopted by Kai, where and who were their parents and ask themselves why they decided to abandon them, and always end up crying, feeling useless, unworthy and unwanted

Crack ninjago au inspired by @enavstars lilo and stitch au.

First off, almost everyone is aged up. Kai 19, Jay 17, Zane 18?, Cole 18. Second, Krux appears a few years later to kidnap Mya and Ray.

Now the Au.

Nya and Kai were born about 12 years apart, so at the start of the show, she is about 7.

Lloyd is about 6, but when he was 3, he got lost in the woods, and his dormant dragoni DNA activated to keep him alive, as a result it is easier for him to talk in roars, cheps, and citters, but he can speak "English" with some effort but can understand it perfectly (for a 6 year old) and he is short do to the early activation of his dragoni genes and being malnourished in the woods.

Nya and Kai have some dormant dragon and merlopian DNA that makes it easier for them to understand Lloyd.

Nya finds him, brings him home, and adopts him as her brother.

Nya is on the autistic spectrum.

Nya, despite being 7, has the IQ of Tony Stark. (This will be important later)

Now, some sceans of the pilot.

"You four are the chosen ones to protect the weapons of spinjitzu from Lord garmadon." Says Wu. "But" Kai asks, "What about my sister a..." "ooo were saving a girl. Is she hot." Jay says, interrupting. Kai glares at Jay. "Jay," Cole says warningly. "I just want to know what we are getting ourselves into..." Jay says, defending himself. "Dose she like blue?" "YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER," Kai shouts at the top of his lungs. "I'm going to bed, see you tomorrow"

Later at the volcano, Lloyd was able to talk the fire dragon down, and Kai left to camp to get some water but before he did that

Now Nya ,Lloyd, I'm going to go to get some water. I need you two to stay here with flame. Now, some... acquaintances of mine might come by while I'm gone. There is zane he wears white, and I think he is on the far side of the spectrum, so be nice. There is Cole he wears black and is afraid of dragons, so don't be upset if he runs away when he sees flame. And finally, there is Jay he wears blue and talks a lot. Don't talk to him until I return.

Later, while kai is gone, the other three enter the temple to find Lloyd and Nya making rock towers.

What are two kids doing here? They all collectively thought.

Nya noticed them. "Who are you?" "My name is Cole. These are my teammates' Zane and Jay.

"Hello Zane and Cole, my name is Nya, and this is Lloyd"

Jay wheezes and asks why she didn't say hi to him, and zane translates.

"Big brother said we can't talk to him," Nya explains while Lloyd is still playing with the rocks.

"Why not?" said Zane

"Well, considering our first conversation, can you blame me." Said Kai appearing from behind jay and causing him to scream or as close to a scream as he can manage with his voice.

"Kai, where have you been?" exclames Cole. "Well, I went back to camp to get some water and fill you guys in only to find it ransacked, and by the looks of it, the shulken got the other three weapons," Kai explains while giving Nya a water bottle.

"Now I was only able to get one, so share it with your little brother, ok?" "Got it"

"OK, but who are the kids?" asked Cole? "And why do they hate me?" complained, Jay.

"Cole, Zane, and Jay. Meet Lloyd and Nya Smith. My little siblings" says Kai, gesturing the the kids who are trying to get the other the drink from the bottle.

"Kai" Nya wines. "Lloyd won't drink his half of the bottle." "Nya need it more," Lloyd explains.

"Lloyd, drink your half. I don't care if you're tougher than Nya. You need water too."

"Ahh," said Zane, putting the pieces together. "That explains your hostility towards Jay" "What dose" Askes Jay.

"Do I have to spell it out for you?" Complains Kai "not only do you interrupt me after I tell you that my sister is kidnapped. But instead of and encouraging 'we will get her back' or even I pittying 'I'm sorry', instead you ask if she is 'hot' and when I make it clear that I don't want you asking those kinds of questions, you ask them anyway. Do you really think I want that kind of person around my younger siblings who aren't even a decade old."

"That sounds like a pedo," Nya says, interrupting.

Overwhelmed (Vinny x Garmadon Part 6)

(I suggest you go read part 1-5 if you haven’t already)( also I ship Kai and Cole don’t come harass me!)( guys forgive me they’re eating in this chapter but I don’t know if it’s accurate so yea)(Vinny wears a glove on his right hand btw and also the purple oni smoke that comes out of Garmadons’ hands burn in my au my rules)(I’d appreciate if you check out my new book it’s Cyrus x Acronix)

“W-what was that for!?”Vinny exclaimed though it was muffled due to him shoving his face into the mattress. “What, am I not allowed to kiss you?” Garmadon replied in a snarky tone. Vinny didn’t respond and kept his face in the mattress he didn’t mind Garmadon kissing him but it was surprising to think of the fact that the dark lord has fallen for a cameraman.

Garmadon let out a sigh before sitting on the bed and picking up Vinny the putting him on his lap. The larger began nuzzling the smallers’ neck causing his to laugh out, “G-Garm stop t-that it tickles!” The smaller giggled out. Garmadon obviously ignored his pleas to stop because he loved seeing the smaller laugh he just seemed so pure.

There was a knock at the door and Vinny jumped out of Garmadons’ lap and went to the door, it was Kai and Cole, “Hey you two, Master wu told us to come here and tell you Zane made food so come out if you want and that after you can train Lloyd” Kai said before grabbing Coles’ hand and walking away. “Do you wanna go?” Vinny asked which to Garmadon nodded and stood up walking towards the door and Vinny following behind.

The two made their way to where the ninja was sitting they had to add some space for the two but that was quickly dealt with. Cole was already stuffing his face with noodles and dumplings while Jay and Lloyd were eat puffy potstickers. The smith siblings were drinking miso soup and Wu was eating some pie and tea. Garmadon and Vinny began eating whatever (no more describing food) “So Vinny I haven’t seen you since like after the end of the overlord, how’s everything going?” Nya asked trying to be friendly because it was awfully quiet at the table. Vinny looked up at Nya, “oh honestly everythings’ been amazing “he replied.

Jay hesitantly asked, “S-so umm…has G-Garmadon ever hurt you…?” After Jay asked that he received a bonk on the head from Nya and literally everyone stared at Jay. “Why would you ask a question like that?” Vinny asked he was looking down at the table and so was Garmadon they really didn’t like this at all. “I-I’m just curious…I mean maybe like when he first came to your apartment and he didn’t know how to act”Jay replied at this point everyone at the table was giving Jay a death stare while Lloyd on the other hand was curious just like the blue ninja.

“It’s fine you can tell them…”Garmadon whispered quietly to Vinny. The smaller looked up at him with a concerned looked before nodding. “There…there was one time..” Vinny said. At that point everyone focused their attention from Jay onto Vinny, they knew it was rude to talk about but they were so curious. “Just like you said it was when he first came to my apartment he was…adjusting..”Vinny said, Garmadon hated remembering it but, he knew Vinny forgave him he’s apologised a thousand times already.

“So one time he didn’t necessarily understand human culture at all and well that made him angry…..he well….grabbed my hand and you know the purple oni smoke….well it kinda burnt my hand….accidentally of course”,Vinny said looking at his right hand which had a black glove over it. Jay felt really bad asking that question now apologised for the sensitive topic. “Is that what the glove is for?” Zane asked to which Vinny nodded. Garmadon didn’t want to speak he felt guilt all the time about the event and now it felt worse.

“Honestly, don’t feel too bad about Kai burns us nearly all the time in training and he accidentally burns himself sometimes” Cole said trying to brighten the mood and wrapping his arm around Kai. Nya and Jay laughed, “Yea that is true, and Cole only trains with him because he wants to spend more time with Kai!”Lloyd laughed out, Kai and Cole turned a bright red as the others began teasing them. Master Wu let out a sigh of relief to see that the attention has been focused away from his brother and Vinny.

Garmadon felt a sense of relief as well but he was still stressed which to Vinny grabbed his hand and began using his finger to trace circles. Wu and Zane both noticed this causing Zane to become confused and Wu to feel happy for his brother. The group eventually finished eating and moved on from making fun of Kai and Cole turning this back into a normal dinner with the group.

“Shall we go and train Lloyd now?” Wu asked the Garmadon then looked at Lloyd. “Very well, but I shall go do something first” Garmadon said before getting up and going back to his room. Vinny began to worry and stood up he was going to take his plate but Zane told him he’ll take it in. Vinny thanked Zane then went after Garmadon to find him sitting on their bed in their room.

Vinny let out a sigh walked in and closed the door before sitting down next to him. “You feeling alright…?”Vinny asked before gently grabbing Garmadons’ hand, “Yea..”he responded. Vinny turned Garmadons’ head to be facing him, “You and me both know that it wasn’t your fault you had no idea what happened you were just angry and confused, I’ve told you already that I forgive you….”Vinny said before pulling Garmadon down and resting the largers’ head on his chest.

“It was ages ago”Vinny said gently kissing Garmadons’ head repeatedly and stroking his hand through his lovers silver hair. The larger sat up the stared at Vinny before kissing him, this caught Vinny off guard and made him blush. “You could’ve asked me for a kiss” the smaller said. “I know but…it’s better to do it when you don’t expect it” Garmadon replied.

The larger stood up the grabbed the smallers’ hand before kissing it the walking over to Christofern and using a spray to water him, “We shall go to have me probably fail at teaching my son at controlling his oni form” Garmadon said before going down to where the ninja were.

“You two shall make an attempt to listen to eachother” Wu said to his brother and nephew

Lloyd headcanons!

• Lloyd has "traffic light" eyes, starting out reddish brown until he gains his Golden Power, when they turn a golden brown color. After he is possessed by Morro, his eyes turn hazel green, slowly turning greener during the year Wu is gone (due to increased training with/using his Power). By the time the Sons of Garmadon show up, Lloyd's eyes are jade green. When Lloyd loses his Elemental Power after fighting Garmadon in S9, his eyes turn a dull brown color until he regains his Power.

Lloyd's eyes are slitted like a cat's eyes and are highly reflective. When Lloyd gets really excited about something, his pupils expand (like a cat on the hunt)

Lloyd's eyes actually glow a bit. When he uses his Elemental Power, his eyes glow brighter. If he uses his Power for too long or too much, his vision starts to "go green".

When Lloyd gets super angry, his eyes take on a red tint.

• Lloyd has fangs! They're not as impressive as Garmadon's and are rather small, but they're sharp!

• When Lloyd gets really upset or angry, the lights start flickering due to his Power reacting to his emotions.

One time, he got so upset that he he accidentally blew up half the power lines on the block + all the lightbulbs in the building.

• Garmadon's blood is dark purple. Similarly, Lloyd's blood is darker and slightly more purple than human blood.

• Morro cut Lloyd's wrists to keep him weak, which made him easier to control.

Morro did this so much that it became a habit for Lloyd, even after Morro left.

Kai found out about this habit one night when he went to the kitchen for a glass of water and found Lloyd trying to bandage himself with one hand. Kai -- freaked out by the sight of Lloyd's blood -- had frantically tried to find Lloyd's attacker before Lloyd stopped him. When Kai asked what had happened, Lloyd began to explain but got emotional. Kai helped Lloyd bandage his arm and clean up, then offered to talk about it.

Kai told Nya (naturally), and now every time they find Lloyd even hinting at having cut/thinking about cutting, the siblings drop everything and immediately initiate a cuddle session.

The cutting got worse after the Harumi Incident and The March of the Oni. One especially bad night, Lloyd accidentally cut too deep and just barely managed to wake up Kai before he collapsed from blood loss. Kai had called for help, waking up the entire team. Once Lloyd woke up, Kai and Nya made him tell the rest of the team what had happened.

Now, the whole team helps support Lloyd on his bad days. Zane bakes cookies, Cole and Jay play harmless pranks to make Lloyd laugh, Nya makes sure Lloyd has taken care of himself, and Kai puts on Lloyd's favorite movies; even Pixal helps by keeping Lloyd distracted building mechs!

• Lloyd died when that part of the Monastery fell on him after the Oni attacked, but FSM let him choose to go back

• Lloyd isn't really sure when his birthday is or how old he is. It's not his fault, he just wasn't told.

• His first birthday party was a huge surprise for him (and for everyone else). It all started mid-September, when Lloyd was sent on a week-long solo mission by Wu and Misako. Once he had left, Misako asked the others what they were getting for his birthday. Everyone was so confused, having had no idea that his birthday even existed. Misako explained that Lloyd's birthday was on September 22nd, then asked if Lloyd hadn't told them. Kai said that Lloyd didn't know. Everyone rushed to buy presents, hoping to make it the best first birthday ever. When Lloyd got back, the team threw him a surprise birthday party.

• Lloyd just really likes space. Some nights, if he can't get to sleep, he sneaks out and stargazes from the tallest thing he can climb. Others may or may not join him to talk about life.

No one really knows how or when he learned how to sew. Some say he learned it at Darkley's, but he ties his knots like Zane.

He actually taught himself by watching others for functionality, then learned how to use it for art from Cole.

• Lloyd was extremely touch-starved from Darkley's. During the first few seasons, Lloyd had to learn how to react to physical affection without breaking down into a clingy mess of tears

• Remember the Uncanny Valley Effect? Yeah, people get that about Lloyd. There's just something about him that feels off. People can instinctively tell that he's not completely human, even if they don't realize that. The same goes for Wu and Garmadon.

• You know the thing cats do when they see themselves in the mirror for the first time and get startled and confused? That's Lloyd. The first time he saw himself in a mirror after getting aged-up, he actually made a strange chirping noise. His siblings thought it was really weird and hilarious. Only Wu knew why he made that noise specifically (it was a dragonlet warning call; Lloyd had seen a "stranger" and -- half asleep -- had instinctively called for help)

[Meeting]

Before meeting Lloyd, you were pretty good friends with Kai and Nya. Scratch that— you were practically siblings.

Growing up, you'd always try to help them. Whether that be lending them extra food, or giving them your old, but clean clothes.

So of course they had to introduce you to the gang! I mean, why wouldn't they? It took them a few years from fear of you getting hurt, but they eventually came around.

When they took you over, you were nervous, but excited! I mean, they're the ninja, how cool is that?

As for how they reacted.. well..

Cole and Zane seemed pretty fine with you, and Cole actually tried to get to know you better at first. You're besties now.

Zane just kinda minded his business at first, not in a rude way he just kinda.. minded his business politely. He eventually talked to you more often though.

Jay was a little suspicious of you first, but brushed it off since you were Nya's friend.

Sensei wu was pleased to find that they had other friends apart from their little group.

Pixal tried to scour the internet for more information on you (to see whether or not you're a threat,) only to find just.. really dumb videos you posted of you and the Smith siblings goofing around.

She trusts you after that.

As for Lloyd, he was like Jay, a little suspicious of you. Y'know, trust issues and all.

If you were to have met him before SoG, he'd hesitantly brush it off and talk to you sometimes.

If you were to have met him after SoG, however.. He'd be incredibly cautious of you. Like, to the point where if you're hanging out with the gang, he'd give you a "if-you-try-anything-i-will-murder-you" stare. Yeah.. yikes.

Either way, it definitely wasn't love at first sight. He's the type of person to get to know someone first before 'falling' for them.

Eventually, he warmed up to you more and more. And then.. uh oh.

Day by day, he gets this weird urge to just.. be around you.

He doesn't know why, he just does.

If this is before SoG, he'll be a little touchy and smile more often when you're around. It's so obvious that the others are surprised you still haven't noticed.

If this was after SoG, he'd still be the same, although he becomes more reserved the more he realizes his feelings for you. He does get touchy, yes, but not as much as he normally would've.

He's still scared of commitment since the whole Harumi thing.

Before SoG: Incredibly sweet, it's almost sickening.

After SoG: Still sweet, although more reserved. like... longing stares and just getting blushy when you hug him, stuff like that.

He doesn't know how to flirt, his idea of flirting is just complimenting them.

"Hey! I like what you did with your hair!"

"Really? Thanks. :)"

So you can imagine how frustrated he is when his "advances" don't work

Eventually turns to Kai and Nya for advice.

"DUDE WHAT?? YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON THEM-"

"SHH KAI NOT SO LOUD-"

Kai literally has no idea what to do to win someone over.

So he instead ops for Nya, since she's in a relationship and all that jazz.

"You like them? Well.. have you tried just being honest?"

"Nya! I can't just.. do that!"

"Why not? The worst they'll do is say no. If you think they're going to hate you, they won't. Trust me, I literally grew up with them."

With a sigh, he eventually took Nya's advice and just went for it.

It took him weeks just to try and build up the courage to ask you out. The guy might look like the most confident dude you'll ever meet, but he's only a teenager after all. There's gotta be some insecurity in him somehow.

[THE CONFESSION]

Today was the day. Damn it, he's nervous but he'll do it! He's been hyping himself up for weeks, no way he can back down now. He already told Kai and Nya about it, and since Kai can't really keep his mouth shut, he ended up telling everyone except for you.

The crew has been teasing him about it relentlessly for about a week and half now. "Lloyd's got a crus-!" "Jay please shut up."

And now he's finally got you alone. Just you and him, in the living room. Okay.. he can do this. He takes a step forward.

Anxiety immediately struck him. Gah! What was he thinking?? Just give up alr– no no, you have to, or else you're going to regret it later.

With a deep breath, he gathered up more courage. "..you just gunna stand there?" You playfully tease, not knowing the weight of his situation. He felt his heart drop to his stomach. "U-uh.. no no! I'll come in."

"Are you okay? You look nervous. Did something happen?" You asked, a little concerned for him. "No!... well..." he rubs the back of his neck.

"There is something i've been meaning to tell you." You've never seen him this serious and nervous before. "What's on your mind?" "Well.. I.. uh.."

You sit patiently, waiting for his response. He mumbles something incomprehensible. "Uh, sorry? I didn't catch that." You gently asked, as he again mumbled it.

"..I can't hear you, sorry.. you don't have to tell me if you don't want to!" You say, trying to save the situation. "I like you, okay?! And-and not just as a friend. I.. I like you in a romantic way." He blurts out. "I..! I mean..!" He turns away from you.

Your face turns so pink, you almost didn't notice the tears forming in his eyes. But when you did, you tried your best to communicate that you felt the same way.

You grab his hand as he was about to leave, "Hey! Wait-! I like you too!" You quickly say. "I.." you sigh, "I really do like you, Lloyd. Infact, i've liked you for months now. I love the way you carry yourself, I love how even in the darkest of moments, you still manage to get yourself together." You keep going, lowering your head as for him to not see your flushed cheeks.

His eyes light up, "I love your smile, your–" you say, being interrupted with a kiss on the forehead. "Alright alright, that's enough. You're going to make me all red." You look up and sure enough, he's almost as red as a tomato. Well, with that kiss he placed, even if it was just on the forehead, certainly made you shut up.

"I think it's time i ask you properly." He holds your hands near him.

"Will you be my lover, [name]?" He looks at you, eyes soft as cotton and a smile sweet as honey.

"Of course." You both smile, sharing an embrace. "Oh and by the way, you owe me a real kiss next time!" He chuckles, "Yeah yeah, i know. But let's move slowly, okay?" He let's go and locks his hand with yours.

"Okay." You respond gladly, leaning your head against his shoulder.

You honestly never thought this would ever happen, But.. you're happy you two are finally together.

Bonus:

Jay, Nya and Kai were peeking around the door trying to see what happened. And since they're all nosy, they wanted to know what was going on aswell.

"So? What happened?" Cole quietly asked, "Well Lloyd's confessing... DUDE! they're blushing!" "Shh! Okay... Oh my god Lloyd planted a kiss—" "ON THE MOUTH?!" "SHHH! They're going to hear us!" They whisper yelled, "As i was saying, Lloyd planted a kiss on their forehead!" Nya exclaims, causing everyone to gasp lightly, except for zane and pixal.

"They both seem to be a perfect fit together, I don't know why you are all surprised." Zane says, nonchalantly. "Yes, I do agree with Zane. Besides, we all knew how he looked at them on that day. It was obvious." Pixal agrees, a soft smile on her lips.

"Oh man! Now i'm the only single one!" Kai whisper-yells, jokingly irritated. "Cole doesn't have a spouse either, though?" Zane exclaims. "Yeah well that's because he's Cole." "Yeah, and i'm not really interested in a partner right now."

"Guys, I think we should stop spying on them, they're about to leave." Nya says, alerting them. "Oh crap! Right! I'll see you later guys!"

The rest of the gang say their goodbyes aswell, although the topic of you and Lloyd's relationship was still incredibly relevant to the crew, and the media.

You swear, you couldn't go two tweets without someone mentioning you guys' relationship. Although it was weirdly.. well recieved, for some reason? You expected there to be more backlash but, almost everyone was supportive!

Sure there were a couple bad apples here and there, but it was generally well recieved! Although you couldn't care less about what the media says.

You're happy with him and that's all that matters right now.

As for your questions:

Lloyd and Nya are a little wary of each other at first.

Lloyd bc he was wary of Garmadon at first, and Nya had been publicly working with Garmadon since they got back to Ninjago.

And Nya had been a little worried for a while that Garmadon would start ignoring her once he got back to his 'real' family; she doesn't remember either of her parents, and the adults back in Ignacia were kinda old fashioned and tried to push her towards being more traditionally feminine (ie staying in the kitchen). Garmadon was the closest thing she'd ever had to a parent, and the first person to really take her seriously, and with Wu driving a wedge between her and Kai, Garmadon's kinda the only 'family' she has right now, and she doesn't want to lose that.

But the two quickly work past this.

Lloyd loses his reservations as soon as he learns why Garmadon wasn't around, and when he sees some of the gadgets Nya made he thinks she's the coolest person ever, and even gives her the idea to become Samurai X (Nya doesn't have all the free time and resources she does in cannon, and Garmadon doesn't tell her to stay behind while he handles things, so Samurai X doesn't happen till later).

And any fears Nya has are put to rest by Garmadon not treating her any differently; none of Lloyds weird quirks really phase her, since she had been living with Garmadon for over a year, so she quickly gets to 'I've only had Lloyd for a day and a half, but if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone in this room and then myself' territory.

Things with Kai are a lot more complicated, so I'll talk about him and Nya first.

Rewatching the show from the pilots, I've noticed that Kai doesn't actually step into the 'protective big brother role' that he's known for until like, s5, and even then that's mostly aimed towards Lloyd. In the early seasons, he kinda just let's Nya do her own thing, and he doesn't really take her seriously until he finds out she's Samurai X.

Which makes sense! He's only two years older than her, and became responsible for her when he himself was only like, 5. My hc is that the villagers would let Kai work in exchange for food and clothes, and that this left Nya on her own most of the time. They've only recently been able to actually run the shoptogether, and since Kai spent so much of his life working to take care of the both of them while leaving Nya behind, he underestimates her, which greatly annoys Nya.

And also gives Wu an easy mindset to exploit.

Wu pushes Kai deeper into this mindset, that Nya was a damsel in distress who needed to be saved from Garmadons clutches, who only seemed strong bc she had been magically mutated, who Kai could only save if he became strong enough, worked hard enough, became the Green Ninja.

There's a point in time when Wu isn't around and the Ninja and the Duo have to work together; things are rough at first for the siblings, but they do start to work things out. A big plot point is that the Duo wind up with the Sword of Flames after the Pilots, and they're keeping it hidden from the Ninja.

Then Wu comes back. And he pushes Kai to use the trust Nya still has in her brother to steal the Sword of Flames. Kai does feel bad, but he trusts his Sensei, and he just wants to help Nya. Once he gets her back to normal, she'll understand why he did what he did, right?

This betrayal cuts Nya deep, even after Wu is defeated. It takes a lot of time and effort for both of them to move past that, and become close again.

And as for Lloyd, he's kind of afraid of the Ninja at first. Before he learned the truth about his Dad and Wu and everything, he thought the Ninja were cool superheroes.

But when he first meets them, they're firmly under Wu's control, and also trying to kidnap him. Even after the Ninja are back to normal, Lloyd is still kinda freaked and avoids them as much as he can.

Once time passes, and he gets to see what the Ninja are actually like, and how much what Wu did messed them up, he does start to warm up to them all.

But Kai is the most shaken by everything; all of the Ninja had been manipulated and then outright brainwashed by Wu, but the other three didn't fight and betray their only family. He pretty much just tries to avoid everyone as much as possible, short of running away and disappearing.

Eventually though, Kai starts to open up. There's some plot stuff that happens where Kai and Lloyd are stuck together, and the two do start to form a bond like they have in cannon.

Lloyd accidently becomes the bridge that helps Kai and Nya work through everything that happened between them, and the three do eventually wind up as the loving siblings we all know and love from cannon.

Random Headcannons cause why not-

Kai, Lloyd, and Jay should never be left alone unsupervised. Something will catch on fire, or blow up.

Lloyd and Jay always sit in the strangest positions out of everyone on the team.

Lloyd and Cole are the residential 3 am snack thieves.

Jay definitely has ADHD, so it causes him to forget to take care of himself a lot.

Cole always takes away Jay's phone at night so he actually goes to sleep and not stay up browsing on it.

Zane has set timers for Jay to help and remind him to eat.

Zane also dedicates said timer for Lloyd because sometimes Lloyd doesn't have the energy to even want to leave his bed.

Kai and Nya both have "how to adopt someone as your younger sibling legally" in their search history.

When Ray and Maya were rescued and set back to normal life, they definitely heard about it while catching up with their kids and have offered to adopt Lloyd for them. They ended up against it because they don't want to risk any drama with Misako.

Lloyd is an honorary Smith family member.

Lloyd still has small habits from Darkley's. The ninja definitely have helped him grow out of it over the years, but fear of being vulnerable around others still hangs on him.

Lloyd feels comfortable around all the ninja, but Kai and Nya are the ones he's closest too.

Kai and Nya were the first to discover that Lloyd can purr.

Lloyd didn't even know he was purring because he was fast asleep between the two of them. He felt super embarrassed when they told him afterwards.

Cole is basically everyone's personal pillow, and they all fall asleep easily on him.

Cole wakes up scared he's still a ghost and is about to fade away sometimes.

Cole usually wakes up Jay or Kai for their elemental powers to help him remember he's still there. Jay for his little unintentional shocks to remind him he has a body. Kai for his natural high temperature and warmth from how cold he always felt as a ghost.

Lloyd sometimes freezes up when he gets too close to Zane's ice, or touches it. He hates it that he does.

Zane often thinks how guilty he feels for his time as the Ice Emperor, but keeps it hidden to not worry anyone.

Pixal has looked into trying to set up therapists for everyone. She has even tried researching to download Data to try and be a therapist for everyone herself, but its hard to keep it constant.

Jay and Lloyd are the shortest in the team. They hate being reminded of it.

Only brightside of being small for Jay is being carried a lot, but he won't admit it.

Jay sometimes gets random deep thoughts and keeps up at least one ninja with him to talk about it. Cole or Lloyd are his go-tos.

After Seabound, Kai ended up signing up for secret swimming lessons. He goes to a beach to practice on his own in the ocean outside of said lessons.

A lot of the time, Kai ends up sitting on the beach and trying to talk to it like he's talking to Nya. Jay joins him sometimes.

It’s 4:30 am I cannot sleep and I just finished reading possibly the best Ninjago fanfic I have ever read I feel so powerful have some thoughts on Kai, his true potential, and his younger brother Lloyd.

Kai and Lloyd’s relationship is hands down, my favorite one in this entire show. Possibly my favorite fictional character dynamic ever.

I cry for both these characters. They both had such difficult lives, and are similar in so many ways. Lloyd would not be the green ninja if it weren’t for Kai. Hell he wouldn’t even be alive.

Early Kai was such a terrible person. He didn’t care anything but himself (and his sister). Nothing really mattered to him if he wasn’t the one getting the glory, because if he’s not getting the glory then he’s not worth anything.

Enter Lloyd. A brat of a child and someone who, at first Kai would not hesitate to abandon on the streets. How do we go from that to Kai being willing to die for him?

Simple. You end up trapped in a volcano together.

That aside, I think that first real bonding moment between Kai and Lloyd is so god damn powerful. Kai is so close to obtaining his ‘goal’ he can’t even listen to reason to escape a dangerous situation. His perception of success is right there in front of him, he could have everything he wanted.

But Lloyd. Lloyd is here and he needs help. It was a certain fact. He will die if Kai doesn’t do something. Kai looks at Lloyd, looks at the Fang blade, and looks back to Lloyd. He sees the fear in Lloyd’s eyes, hears the panic in his voice. And he understands.

Up until he meets the ninja, Lloyd has been abandoned, ridiculed or rejected by everyone he’s ever met in his life. Even with the ninja, he faced the some of the same. He may have been calling for help, but he didn’t expect Kai to come. At 9 years old he was resigned to dying a horrible death for the sake of a mission because he believed he wasn’t important enough to take priority.

And Kai Smith cannot let that happen. No matter how badly he wants something, he cannot allow an innocent child to believe they are worth nothing. To believe their life isn’t worth saving.

Because for a long time Kai believed that about himself.

And for probably the first time since he started as a ninja, Kai makes a decision that isn’t focused on him, and what he wants. He gives up everything he felt he’s worked for to save someone nobody else would honestly think twice about. It’s a this point that Kai makes a realization. What good are his powers if he can’t save lives? What good is he as a ninja if he chooses his own selfishness over the life of another? This is how he unlocks his true potential.

Kai makes a third realization when he gets to Lloyd. Now in tune with his element, he can sense something he couldn’t sense before. There is an energy radiation off of Lloyd in waves, pure and powerful and green. It’s so strong he can hardly believe nobody had noticed. Lloyd is the Green Ninja. And he’s not even upset. Something about the way Lloyd desperately clings to him, tears pricking his eyes, full of shock and fear and hope. Something about the way his fire roars to life with the knowledge that ‘yes, you have a purpose and that purpose is to protect’. It feels right in a way that never has before, and Kai makes a vow.

As long as there is breath in his body, he will protect this child.

How would the slipper fiting the right foot go differently in this Bruise Cinderella AU?

Do Morro and Lloyd just bring Cole to Jay when he eventually gets to their home?

Welp, on my half I changed the slipper to a glove.

When the brothers escape back home, Jay notices that his outfit goes poof like in almost every Cinderella story. But a gloves remains.

Jay thinks that the one glove stayed as a momento, but Zane knows full well who has the other glove.

When the Smiths are finishing up the ball, Cole runs to Nya and Kai and BEGS them (like on the knees and everything) for them to help him find the mysterious boy in blue. Kai knows who he's talking about and the two siblings are on board soon after.

The Smiths, after some hefty bargaining with their parents, announce that two more nights will be hosted and everyone (not just invited) can come.

Though Jay doesn't have the suit anymore, he still has the glove. And he keeps it hidden on the second night, but on the third, he'll bring it in hopes of getying close enough to Cole to talk to him...

Too bad Cliff catches him.

Cliff causes a major scene, scolding Jay for going when he was not allowed and Lloyd and Morro are shocked. And they decide enough is enough and go straight to the Smiths and out Jay as the boy in blue.

And when Cole tries to break the crowd, Cliff has alreasy taken Jay back to their limo and went back home.

Lloyd Head Cannons

Lloyd spent most of his childhood basically being abused and abandoned.

First he was abandoned by his mother. Yes, it was because she thought that it would be too dangerous to take him with her, but she also wanted to create a fail-safe. After all, if he’s just as evil as his father, then it’s not that likely that he would become an avatar for good...right?

Darkly’s did nothing but abuse and neglect him from the moment he got there. He had the hardest time trying to fit in, but he just couldn’t be the little demon that everyone wanted him to be. He was beaten and borderline tortured for years before he was expelled, and he still can’t talk about most of it, not even to his siblings.

It took a while for the ninja to warm up to him and vice versa, but once they did...well, that’s a bond that NOTHING can break! Especially when it comes to Kai and Nya.

The Smith siblings basically adopted him. When he was small, Nya would teach him how to build mechs and run basic system maintenance on the Bounty. Kai taught him the basics of keeping house, like cooking and cleaning, as well as some basics of metallurgy and weapons care.

He started crawling into bed with them whenever he had a nightmare. Wu was a little jealous at first, but decided that he trusted the ninja over him for stuff like that, especially since Lloyd reminded him so much of Morro when he was that age.

Kai might have taught him the basics of cooking, but Zane made sure that he knew some of the more advanced stuff, like cutting vegetables and how to seasons pans (he taught this stuff to Kai too, but Lloyd had a harder time learning). 

Lloyd is left-handed, so it took everyone a while to realize that they needed to switch-up how they had him learn fighting styles. Lloyd is now largely ambidextrous when it comes to fighting, but he still writes and eats with his left.

Despite being forced to grow up so quickly, Lloyd is still a little gremlin about some things...namely sweets and candy.

Cole once walked into the kitchen in the middle of the night for a snack, only to find a pair of glowing, green eyes hovering in front of the fridge. It freaked him out the first time and nearly attacked Lloyd. Now he sees the little gremlin raiding the fridge in the middle of the night, and he asks him what’s good.

Sensei Garmadon did the same thing after they defeated the Overlord.

Wu once walked into the Kitchen at 2 in the morning for some tea, and found the trio at the fridge. He groaned about how they were multiplying and just went back to bed.

A while after the Tournament of Elements, Karloff made a raunchy joke over dinner. Kai nearly knocked his lights out when Lloyd asked him what BDSM was, except Skylor got there first. Karloff is now scared to even so much as swear when he thinks Lloyd might be around.

Sometimes he still crawls into bed with Kai or Nya when he can’t sleep, especially after what happened with Harumi and his father’s resurrection. Kai and Nya couldn’t let him sleep alone for more than a month after they defeated the emperor.

After the Oni attack and they nearly lost Cole, Lloyd basically had all of the ninja move into his room for a few weeks (not that they were going to leave him alone after that first night terror anyway).

He often calls Nya and Kai mom-friend and dad-friend over text. He started doing it to annoy them, but they totally take pride in it.

Chapter 4: The Duke

Kai sighed in relief as he dropped the bags at his feet and plopped down next to the equally exhausted Lloyd on the side of the town square fountain. The large, glistening fountain outside of city hall in the dead center of the entire city. Built only a handful of years ago, this fountain at the old town center was there to represent the importance of all generations, both young and old, and what they have to offer. Its position within the city was meant to represent the strong mind and balanced way of life the city strived for.

It was designed by Nya.

She had wonderfully captured the natural beauty of the region and used a personal style to convey her vision in this piece of art. Every element was crafted and created with deluxe materials from local suppliers, ensuring this monument will remain an important aspect of the community spirit for many more years.

"Think we got enough food?" He teased.

"Well, we got everything on Nya's list." Lloyd smiled. "You remembered the chocolate right?"

"Yes, I remembered the chocolate." Kai rolled his eyes playfully. Lloyd smiled and dug into his big brother's bag before pulling out a folder and opened. He thumbed through the pages until he found a small back of stapled pages and pulled out the top one, smiling before placing the pack in Kai's lap.

"Care to show your favorite little brother what you've been working on?" He flashed a bright smile and his infamous pleading look.

"Maybe later," Kai replied calmly, earning him a look of pure shock from the blond boy. Kai could never resist Lloyd's babyface when he wanted something. Kai just laughed and scooped his collection of papers in his hands before looking at the one Lloyd picked out. The poem was written in his hand above the image of a field of roses. At the heart was an ancient castle that dated back to the early 18th century. The only difference was this castle was pure white, each stone chiseled from stabs of pristine marble.

Lloyd leaned over his brother's shoulder, immediately engrossed in the detailed sketch of his big brother's.

"Jeez Kai, you could give Nya a run for her money."

"It's just a sketch."

"It's still awesome! Now, can I see the poem or not?" Lloyd pleaded with a whine in his voice.

"No!"

"But it's amazing!" He begged and giggled as Kai blushed.

"You think everything I write is amazing." He smiled, rolling his eyes.

"Because they are!" He insisted, kneeling over the side of the fountain to dig through Kai's folder. "Didn't you say that one goes with another poem or passage? Here it is!" He cheered in victory pulling out another passage Kai wrote and placed in his lap. "This one! I remember cuz when you were reading you had this really dreamy look on your face." His smile almost split in half at the dark blush suddenly covering Kai's face. He snatched both things away and stuffed them back in his folder.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, green bean." Kai insisted with a small smirk. It would have convinced anyone else despite the faint scarlet dusting Kai's cheeks, but not to Lloyd and Nya.

"Yes, you do! You wrote that about the Dragon Lord didn't you?" He smirked playfully. The brunette's eyes nearly bulged out of his skull at Lloyd's innocently smirking face.

"How do you know that?!" He spluttered, completely flabbergasted. The youngest Smith almost burst out laughing at his older brother's panic.

"I didn't, but it's written all over your face!" He gasped in between laughs. Growling in defeat, Kai ran his hand through his hair and sighed.

"Yes, they were inspired by the fairy tale, but no it's not about him, I wrote them after I had a dream." He explained as Lloyd blinked in bewilderment. "I know silly, right?"

"No! I wanna hear it!" He insisted widening his eyes. Rolling his eyes again, knowing Lloyd wouldn't let the subject drop, he continued.

"Alright, well, every night, I dream I'm in a field of flowers outside the castle and while I'm there, I hear a song playing and I follow it; then I see a man standing there holding the most beautiful music box I'd ever seen."

"Is he handsome?" Lloyd asked, teasingly, but Kai chose to ignore that question.

"The music was so lovely; it reminded me of the songs Mom and Dad used to sing to us, but in the most amazing voice I've ever heard." He sighed in awe. "The second I woke up, I just wrote the poem down and then I just couldn't get that man out of my head; I kept dreaming about him more and more." He explained unwittingly, letting his hidden passions seep into his voice; something that didn't go unnoticed by Lloyd. His smile only widened until it nearly split his face in half.

"You're in love~" He sang and Kai almost fell off the fountain. "You're in love with your dream prince!" He teased, with a smirk that put even his siblings to shame as he leaned over his older brother. "And don't try and deny it either, that might work on someone else, but not someone who's known you as long as I have!"

"The Dragon Lord is only a fairy tale, he's not real." Kai sighed, saddened, looking heavenward for assistance to his dilemma.

"Don't worry, bro; I'm sure you'll find your true love." Lloyd encouraged, leaning against the brunette's shoulder. Kai chuckled and ran his fingers through Lloyd's blond hair.

"You're a hopeless romantic, green bean."

"Hopeful." He corrected mischievously. Both boys broke into a fit of laughter until they were interrupted by the sound of a carriage and horses pulling to a stop. Just like that, everyone in town stopped to carry out the weekly ritual that was as practiced and routine as everything else in Ignacia. Everyone was more than happy to greet the two people that were exiting the carriage. The first to exit the expensive, flamboyant carriage was a middle-aged woman wearing a simple but expensive pale green dress.

Her long black hair was tied in a high ponytail by a pretty dark green ribbon, while her toxic green eyes glowed against her deathly-pale skin.

She was a noble maiden without a doubt, but she was not the reason everyone had stopped to stare. The man she turned and bowed her head to was. The brothers recognized his walk before he even stepped out of the carriage. He looked nobler than the woman. The man stepped out of the carriage adorned in a black suit that looked like the most expensive embroidery anyone had ever seen and a necklace of the finest craftsmanship. The outfit was only a simple outing suit but it was still the most expensive thing either brother had ever seen.

The pants alone probably cost more than their entre combined wardrobes.

His white gloves were molded the man's perfect hand and the suit hugged his muscles tightly. The newly polished shoes shined as he stepped down from the carriage. Men and women became lovestruck at his appearance and some people were instantly struck with jealousy or admiration. That combined with perfectly smooth, unblemished white skin, a perfect face, long jet black hair with a green streak in it, and ghostly green eyes, Duke Morro Vento was in every inch a fairy tale prince.

After all, Morro's family had founded the town and still owned it to this day.

Kai never realized how rehearsed Morro's walk was. It was coy and arrogant, just like his glances and his audacious smile. Morro must have returned from a successful trip because he seemed more arrogant today. Kai's gaze turned to Lloyd who nodded in understanding. Both boys picked up their books and the groceries, ready to leave. But a second too late, the duke's gaze found them and he smiled, a seductive smirk that Kai hated more than anything else.

Again he strolled over, cutting off their only exit before the two boys could sneak away.

"Hello, Kai." He smiled sweetly, but the teen saw right through it.

"That's Mr. Smith, your grace." He retorted with a hard gaze. At one point he may have been allowed Morro to call him by his first name, but he had lost that right years ago. Morro's predatory gaze immediately hardened when the brunette used his title instead of his name, though he'd told him time and time again he was allowed to. Kai simply refused to. It was so hard to believe that this arrogant and pompous man obsessed with luxury and social position was the same sweet and free-spirited kid the Smiths knew as children.

Morro's grandfather and their father Ray had been close friends for years.

It was solely because of Morro's grandfather the family moved to this town in the first place. Morro's grandfather had been Duke of the city and the peasants for almost sixty years. He had made it perfectly clear he was just as much a citizen of the town as the rest of the valley. He never cared for social status or reform and only for the well-being of the town and the citizens. As a result, the two families had been quite close. Morro was only two or three years older than Kai.

Sometimes their parents joked about the two of them getting married one day.

This was something Morro's parents took to heart for the future, especially as the children entered adulthood. Ray never considered the idea, especially since he knew none of the children seemed to like Morro in that manner. But once Morro's grandfather died and Ray fell ill, everything changed. Once Morro and his family took the role of Duke and Duchess, and delighted in the royal lifestyle, the Smiths saw less and less of Morro. He'd become too comfortable in the position of his family.

"How many times must I ask you to call me Morro, Kai?" The Duke smiled sweetly, hoping for a romantic response. The brunette just rolled his eyes and gathered his papers together before tying his folder closed. He lifted it to put it away but Morro suddenly snatched it.

"What are these, beautiful?" He asked with mock curiosity, flipping through the papers.

"Your grace, please return my property." He said and it took every ounce of Kai's willpower to remain civil. It was for the sake of his family's good name that he didn't snatch it from his hands and scold him like a child.

"Did you write all these, darling? You must have way too much time on your hands if you waste it scribbling away and reading books." He laughed and Kai growled at the mockery in Morro's voice.

"That's not true!" Lloyd exclaimed and was on his feet faster than anyone expected of the young boy. "Kai's an amazing writer, if you even bothered to read them instead of spending all your time in that stupid shack you call a palace, you'd recognize some good writing." He growled at the duke. A few eyes widened and jaws dropped at Lloyd's comment, but Morro paid the boy no mind and snapped the folder closed, holding it as if it were a discarded garment.

"Oh darling, you have so much promise; don't you think it is about time you got your head out of those silly stories and started paying attention to more important things?" He asked and his voice held a seductive purr that made Kai shiver in aggravation. "I mean, the whole town is talking about it! You spend all your time working at that little shop or reading, it is such a shame." He spoke in such a dreary tone as if Kai's life was that of an unfortunate pauper.

Kai closed his eyes and ran his hand through his hair.

He let the duke rant, knowing full well he wouldn't care if he was paying attention to him or not. It had been this way since Morro became the Duke. He accepted the position with a smile and had since turned his ambitions to accustoming Kai to the royal life. The trio lost touch with him as a result, especially Kai, who rejected the idea of the rich and nobility; preferring a life of freedom away from petty, materialistic things. After all, he was perfectly happy living with his siblings where the three could carry out their dreams.

Of course, Morro didn't notice or even care.

"Of course, if you were married to a more... privileged person you wouldn't have to work a day in your life." Morro grinned as his emerald eyes fixed in a cruel seductive glint and met Kai's amber orbs.

"Marriage?" Kai repeated as his eyes widened. "I don't think so Morro, I like working and besides, I don't want to marry just anyone; now, please return my folder." He ordered, attempting to mask the hostility in his voice, holding out his hand.

"Oh, but it wouldn't be just anyone." Morro continued, ignoring the brunette, and held the folder out of his reach so Kai's gaze was fixed on him. "You of all people deserve far more than just anyone; you deserve someone beautiful, wealthy, well-respected-"

"Those are all material things, Morro, not what you should be looking for in marriage." Lloyd cut him off, his hands balled into fists at his sides.

"Give me my folder back, Duke Vento."

"You need someone who's known you since you arrived in this town, who's courted you for years." He smirked as he leaned closer to the brunette, irritation marring the seductive charm.

"I won't ask you again Morro, now stop acting childish and give me my stuff back!" Kai thundered in a harsh tone. Taken aback by the scolding and the looks of the townsmen, he regained his composure and with as much dignity as he could muster returned the folder to Kai.

"Very well, we'll talk later than; come along, Bansha, let us return home." He smiled as he gestured to the raven-haired girl, who followed obediently. Kai's amber eyes were almost red with rage until Lloyd pulled on his arm a bit. Kai's gaze turned to his little brother's curious stare.

"Is he really so naïve that he can't tell you're ignoring his flirting on purpose, or is he just acting?" He asked as he cocked his head cutely, making Morro suddenly freeze in his tracks and Kai burst into laughter, his anger forgotten. Morro turned around with a mortified look on his face. Did Kai's brother just insult him? Without even trying?

"How dare you!" He snapped, pointing accusingly, his composure shattered.

"Now, now, my lord." Kai chuckled. "He's only joking, come on Lloyd, let's get home before Nya wonders where we've been." He smirked and Lloyd smiled as the two scooped up the groceries and books and strolled past the duke and the noblewoman and down the street towards home. Once they were out of earshot of town and Morro, Kai turned to his smiling little brother.

"Thank you for that, green bean; I swear I would have beat the crap outta him if he called me 'darling' one more time."

"I don't know why you put up with him!" Lloyd asked with a snort. "You'd think it would finally penetrate that thick skull of his that you're not interested!"

"I doubt that." Kai sighed, annoyed. "Morro never was one to give up." He added and he knew that was true from experience. Morro had waited and tried for years to coax him to his side. "Hopefully when Nya wins this year, we'll finally have enough money to leave this miserable place." He smiled, confidently.

"I hope so!" Lloyd cheered. "Even I'm getting sick of this town, but I'd miss Dr. Saunders and Brad." He admitted. Kai hummed in understanding as he looked at the large clock tower and his eyes widened.

"Oh shit! Look what time it is!"

"We didn't even make dinner yet and you know what happened last time we got home late?" The youngest Smith groaned as he turned to his middle sibling with concern.

"Don't worry, Nya's a smart girl; she's not dumb enough to repeat her mistakes," Kai assured him. No sooner had Kai said those words, however, an explosion erupted from the Smith home, and thick black smoke pooled from the chimney and kitchen windows...

(When You Weren't There)

Cross-posted from ffnet. Just a quick oneshot featuring the Smith siblings following some of the events of season 11 (because someone's gotta smack some sense into Kai for being an idiot).

Footsteps echoed softly.

First to the left, then the right. Repeat.

Nya watched her brother quietly wander the halls of the monastery. It had been several hours since… Since Zane had been hit by Ashpeera’s spell and… ceased to exist…

The aftermath had been devastating. No one felt like talking, felt like doing anything, too caught up in shocked grief. It was too reminiscent of Cole’s fall, and far, far too soon. Why did tragedy always strike at the worst possible moment? She’d never get used to this feeling. No matter how many times they lost someone.

The master of water glanced at the clock on a nearby wall. It was late. The others were probably already in bed (Pixal had retired to her room hours ago), and she really ought to consider joining them soon, but there was something she needed to do first.

“Kai?” She called. He stopped, glancing over at her.

“Y-yeah?”

“We need to talk.” Nya stated firmly, grabbing Kai’s arm and leading him toward her room.

“We just lost Zane, sis. This had better be important.” He replied, eyes red and puffy. It was obvious that the day’s events had hit him hard, but Nya was dead set on having this conversation now. Someone had to do damage control before things got even worse.

“Oh, it is..” She dragged him inside. Seating herself on the bed, she eyed him expectantly. He couldn’t ignore the look on her face.

“What’s eating you?” The master of fire asked quietly, not sure he wanted to know what else might be bothering her. He sat next to her, waiting for a response. Nya glanced away, picking at her bedspread as she chose her words.

“I think…” She took a breath, “I think you need to apologize to Lloyd. For what happened earlier.”

“Apologize?” He repeated. The former samurai nodded.

“Yes. Apologize. Maybe you think that coming back at the last possible moment counts, but it doesn’t. The way you acted? The things you said? They hurt Lloyd. A lot more than you realize. And while he’s too nice to say it to your face, I’m not.”

“I… I was being a little insensitive…” Admitted Kai, sheepishly. His behavior definitely wasn’t something to be proud of.

“A little?!” Nya hissed, a bit louder than intended, “What the heck, Kai?! Have you already forgotten that Lloyd lost his own elemental powers not that long ago? That he had to deal with his maniac of a father trying to take over the city while grieving the loss of his family all at the same time?!”

“I-”

“Do you have any idea how horrible that was for him? And then you, his brother, come along and basically tell him his struggles weren’t justified!” He shrank back as she continued, realizing just how badly he’d messed up.

“Oh gosh… I feel like such a jerk now… I didn’t mean for it to come out like that…” Kai said, feeling even worse than before, “I just… I felt so useless and frustrated and I guess I didn’t…” She sighed.

“That’s just it. You don’t get it… none of you do!”

“I… what?” He questioned, a bit surprised by the outburst.

“It’s so easy for you to forget that Lloyd went through living hell while you were off gallivanting about with dragons, for you to say or do something stupid and ignorant, and you wanna know why? You. Weren’t. There.” Her words felt like a physical punch. Kai reeled backwards, nearly falling off of his sister’s bed. She turned away, bitterly.

“You weren’t there when Lloyd woke up without powers, or when he refused to eat for days on end… or when he cried himself to sleep every night blaming himself for getting you killed, or when… When everyone else got captured?” He could hear her voice beginning to break.

“You weren’t there, and I was so, so scared a-and everything was so bro-oken - I didn’t know what to do…. we needed you, and you w-were gone and… And then we almost lost you again, and…” Nya’s voice grew quieter, resigned. This wasn’t just about Lloyd anymore. And the master of fire was beginning to wonder if it ever had been. She chocked out a sob.

“And I-I know it’s not fair to blame you for that b-because it wasn’t your fault you were stuck i-in another realm, but I still…. It hurts and I can’t….”

“Oh, Nya… I’m so sorry… why didn’t you tell me….” He whispered, edging over to her. The girl’s crying turned to hiccups as she allowed Kai to scoop her up into a tight hug. He rubbed comforting circles on her back, attempting to calm her down enough to get a coherent response out of her.

“I was so relieved to h-have you back again, you know?” She whispered, beginning to feel better now that she’d gotten all the negative feelings that had been plaguing her for the past 6 months off her chest, “I-I couldn’t lay that on you, not when…”

“Nya… Nya, look at me…” Kai begged. Nya shifted towards him, face streaked with tears. He grabbed the box of tissues she kept on her bedside table and handed them to her. She gratefully accepted them.

“I don’t care how idiotic I’m acting. You can always come to me when something’s bothering you. You know that…”

“I do.” The master of water agreed with a watery smile.

“Good. Because you shouldn’t have to feel like you’re going through this stuff alone – you aren’t, and you never will be. I promise.” He replied, giving her nose a tweak. She leaned against him, comforted by his words.

“Thanks. I really needed that right now.”

“No problem, sis. I’m your brother. It’s what I’m here for. And you’re right... Lloyd deserves an apology. I’ll make sure I talk to him as soon as I can.” Kai determined.

“Yeah, I… I think that’s a good idea… maybe it’ll help soften the blow to know that you understand… after what happened today? He’s gonna need some encouragement…” His sister stated, knowingly.

“Things are definitely gonna be rough around here for awhile…” He said, nodding in agreement. Suddenly they were interrupted by the sound of someone screaming down the hall. Pixal.

“We’d better go check on her.” Nya commented as she pushed herself up from the mattress. Kai followed her to the door, steeling himself for yet another difficult conversation. They were a family… They’d get through this…. Right?

Worth it

(Lloyd joined Chen AU)

Lloyd stood in front of the mirror, staring at his own reflection. If it wasn't for the fact that he, of course, knew how mirrors worked, he would've probably never figured it was him.

The person staring back at him was so different. So distant. A stranger.

His once bright eyes were dull and tired. His teasing smirk had long been washed away and back was the shell of a person he used to be. Not even Lloyd Garmadon. Just the green ninja.

He wasn't exactly what he would've imagined him to be. The green ninja was supposed to be strong. He was supposed to protect everyone. And yet he had failed to do just that. He blinked rapidly as his eyes began to sting. Biting his lip, to keep the sob from escaping.

He tightened his grip around the sink. He hadn't been strong enough. He had failed. And because of him, they had lost Zane. He took in a shaky breath, closing his eyes and trying to remind himself that everything would be alright.

Everything would be fine. He had the chance to change it. He could change it. He had to. For Zane and for the others.

Lloyd had screwed up, but- he could still change things. Chen had given him that change.

He opened his eyes and was yet again faced with his own reflection. He took one last breath before turning around to leave. As he was walking out the door, he couldn't help but look back. He caught a quick glimpse of his new tattoo. It was a promise to Chen. A promise of loyalty, but to Lloyd it meant something completely different. It meant a new chance.

The tattoo itself didn't really matter much to him. If it wasn't for the pain on his shoulder he would probably forget that it was even there. He stopped up and thought for a short moment about how his dad would react.

Lloyd had been shocked to learn that his dad already knew Chen, and it was a bit worrying that his dad had warned him that Chen wasn't to trust, but then again. Lloyd had to do this. Even if it would have some bad consequences for him in the end, it would be worth it as long as he saved Zane. He had to get him back.

No matter what. Lloyd went to look for his hairbrush. He'd have to meet with Chen in twenty minutes. Chen wanted more information about the others, mostly Nya, but also Kai. Apparently Chen had a high interest for the Smith siblings.

He had already sent Lloyd to talk with Nya once and break the news to her about her elemental powers. She had been shocked and rightfully so.

She had tried to talk with him. Ask him what was going on, but he couldn't tell her. He had to keep up the facade and play whatever sick game Chen wanted him to play.

It wasn't that bad yet, but- where was that damn hairbrush?- it was quite hard to play so cold towards someone he would usually consider his friends. Or well, someone who used to be his friends.

They hadn't talked after what happened to Zane. He had tried reaching out once. It had taken everything in him. He had felt so guilty for even thinking that he was allowed to try after what he did, or rather failed to do. It was supposed to be him. He knew it and so did they. They never responded to his message.

His dad had tried to tell him to just give them time. He said that no one blamed Lloyd, but Lloyd knew different. Everyone blamed Lloyd. Especially himself.

Of course they blamed him. Because it was his fault. He hadn't stepped up when he had to and Zane had paid the prize.

Lloyd had to remember that whenever keeping up the act got hard. Whenever he wanted to cry he had to remember that he had to do this for Zane, even if it meant for himself to die a little or even completely. After all, he was already supposed to have done so by now.

No matter what getting Zane back home to the others would cost, it would be worth it.

It would be worth it.

And there was the damn hairbrush.

Okay. Yes. I did not have many headcanons for Lloyd and much less Zane, but yes.

Also based on Kai having a philosophy class, and based on my own experience with having a philosophy and a psychology class, he would 100% ramble on about stuff he learned to the others and start making references to the way they all behave with each other (bc I do this too-)

ALSO IM SORRY BUT THE ZANE PART?? YES?? JUST PERFECT- I’m at a loss when it comes to stuff about Zane so I’m always open for more (extends to all of them-)

Big brother Lloyd is always just 👌.

I imagine that Kai gets hurt often cause he’s just clumsy and reckless like that but also bc he “overuses” his powers quite often (shown in like a thousand burn scars, also the reason I designed his gi with short sleeves) and Lloyd just goes mother hen everytime (ofc he does this with everyone, but Kai just gets hurt so often), scolding him for going past his limit and stuff like that and it always end in a hug :>

I think Lloyd is a very laid back and “closed off” person based on how he was treated by everyone else growing up, so him being a big brother to the smith twins or even the oldest of the team kinda fits again, he’s protective of his friends and will stab anyone that even looks at them wrong, but he opens up to people he trusts and knows he can rely on any of them in any situation

Also Cole and Jay, cause I need more about them- my brain focuses so bad on the smith siblings-

We know they’re besties and probably have like lil private talks either shit taking others of being so extremely emotional talking about stuff that happened on missions or in school maybe-

Idk I need more headcanons, I do have a ton about their powers tho if anyones interested in those-

Okay, hear me out.

My headcanons mainly are about the movie ninja crew, and bc I headcanon Nya and Kai as Twins, and I also headcanon that Cole designs a lot of the stuff the ninja use and wear (backpacks, phone cases, stickers, etc..), I had this idea that Kai and Nya just switch all the time

No reason what so ever, they just think it’s cool and lean 100% into the Twin thing.

Basic backstories, setup and just few little things about Werewolf Cole Au. A synopsis if you will?

There's no elemental powers, Overlord, Zane isn't a nindroid, etc. Just basically a regular world with small real myths such as Werewolves.

Werewolf wolf forms aren't humanoid, but really are just big 6ft tall wolves.

Kai and Nya do live in a house near the woods and their parents were never kidnapped so they were raised by them. However they both are in a line of work that has them not home most of the time.

Kai & Nya found Lloyd on the streets being bullied from other kids. Kai immediately couldn't stand it and stepped in. When asked where Lloyd lived so they could take him, Lloyd said he didn't have one.

After a long video call later, and a quick visit by Maya, Lloyd was able to be adopted into their family and enroll in school under the name Lloyd Smith.

Kai is 20, Nya is 18, Lloyd is 14, Cole is 21, Jay is 18, Zane is 23, Pixal is 22, Skylor is 21. Excluding Cole till later, they're just a big friend group.

Kai is trying to find a good College to get into while working at Skylor and her Mother's small Noodle Shop. There is no Chen because I said so.

Skylor and Kai used to date in Highschool, but found to be better friends instead and now are just close friends.

Jay & Nya are in highschool Senior Year, and are together.

Zane & Pixal was friends with them in highschool, but now are in College together. Also a couple, and they love to visit when they can and video chat.

Lloyd is in Middle School. He's managed to make few friends there but his best friends are his adopted siblings, their friends, and his adopted cat, Meowthra.

Cole was childhood friends with Jay back in another town until one day him, his father and mother had to suddenly move out without a word to anyone. So to Jay, his childhood friend just one day disappeared.

There are Werewolf Hunters after them.

Cole gets his wolf side from Lily.

Lily doesn't pass away when he was younger, but is sick. Lou moves them to the Town where the gang are, hearing about how it's nice and close to some woods, good clean air, and he did some digging and saw nothing about Hunters being in the town because the Forest and its wildlife are supposed to be protected.

Cole is trying to figure out what to do for his mother and always goes out to the woods at night to let himself be a wolf, especially because he doesn't have complete control of his transformation like Lily.

Unfortunately Hunters did follow them.

The Hunters one day went to eat at the Noodle Shop and talked about going hunting in the Woods. Kai overheard, and he knows the Woods are not to be hunted in. Kai tried leaving a voicemail to Skylor but his phone unfortunately died mid message. He wasn't sneaky enough about it and the Hunters did notice.

At the end of his shift, locking up the Noodle Shop, Kai is jumped by the Hunters so they don't have a goody goody try and ruin their hunt.

Kai managed to get away and did run off into the woods, hoping to lead them off his tail, not find their way to his house, while also hoping to manage to get home through the woods.

Kai of course loses the Hunters, but unfortunately his ankle did get sprained pretty bad and he stops to sit against a tree once he's sure he's safe.

That's when Cole finds him after smelling some of his blood.

Kai never heard of any reports of wolves in the woods, especially none that are 6ft tall. So understandably, Kai freezes up in fear while also knowing he wouldn't get anywhere if he tried.

Cole approaches, luckily just have hunted something himself so Kai's blood doesn't affect his hunter instincts too much.

Cole slowly approaches Kai before licking his wounds. He turns Kai around and grabs him by the back of his jacket, carrying him off to his little den he set up for when he's out in the woods.

Kai freaks out and is about to yell before he hears the distant sound of a Jeep driving through the woods which leads him to shut up in fear its the hunters.

This also has Cole rush to the den.

The den is set up with a large bedroll, campfire and few other necessities because Cole goes to it when he's a human as well. It surprises Kai, but he doesn't complain when the big wolf sets him down and carries over a first aid kit.

Even after patching himself up, Kai still can't get up, but it seems the Wolf in front of him basically saved him and maybe has an owner. Plus, out of fear of running into the hunters, he decides okay he'll stay for the night.

Cole does notice Kai starts shivering when trying to sleep, so he goes over to offer some warmth. Kai while uneasy with a big wolf next to him, accepts it, not wanting to risk going against it and it is nice.

This leads to both of them falling asleep and Cole completely forgetting he's going to change back in the morning.

So Kai wakes up being hugged by this large shirtless man. His screaming wakes Cole up, leading him to screaming as well as the scramble to get apart.

The den is surprisingly close to Kai's house, so as Nya is about to head out on her bike to find out why Kai didn't come home last night, she hears him screaming in the woods.

After the screaming stops, Kai and Cole stare at each other. Kai in complete bewilderment, glancing around for that wolf from last night unaware it was Cole. Cole meanwhile is frozen, slapping himself mentally for some reason helping this random stranger as a wolf and not thinking about him turning back in the morning.

Nya calls out for Kai though, drawing his attention away from Cole and allowing him a moment to slip away.

Kai after realizing he was left alone, decides to get up, limping out of the den to call out to Nya.

Kai is brought home and his wounds are more properly treated. A call to Skylor to look out for the guys that jumped Kai and to let her know what's up.

Kai tells the story about the Wolf. Lloyd gets excited wanting to find a big nice Wolf himself, but Nya quickly dismisses it to it most likely just being a dream passing out in the woods. Hoping to delude Lloyd from going and searching the woods for said Wolf, while also not believing it herself.

Kai is basically forced to stay home till they know the Hunters aren't going to go after him again, and to heal up his ankle.

Kai keeps thinking about that night while during his little house arrest, and even dreams of the man he woke up next to, turning into the 6ft Wolf that helped him.

One night when he's okay to walk again and Nya is at Jay's house with Lloyd to help him study, and for a little sleepover, Kai sneaks out back to the woods, finding the den again and hopes to come across the Wolf again.

Cole wanders in as a wolf and freezes noticing Kai waiting for him. He was no different from Kai, constantly thinking about the other in numerous ways since their encounter.

Cole unfortunately wasn't so prepared for another meeting and turns to run away, but finds himself freezing when Kai cries out "Wait!"

Kai slowly approaches Cole.

"You can understand me, can't you?" Cole looks Kai in the eyes and nods to Kai's slight surprise.

"Are you that guy I woke up next to?" Cole whines in response, in fear of Kai knowing.

"It's okay! I... well its little weird to think about, but... wow I was actually right? Haha, I don't know how to feel about this, but I won't go ratting you out don't worry!" Cole's ears perk up in surprise.

That's when the familiar sound of a Jeep reaches both their ears. Smelling the air, Cole whines, recognizing the smell of Hunters, moving to turn and run again, but Kai stops him again.

Kai offers and brings Cole back to his house to help hide him. Cole feels like he should reject, and not trust so easily, but he finds himself following Kai easily.

That's when Kai walks in with Cole, ducking through the back door and see Nya and Lloyd who just got home because the sleep over got cancelled.

After a lot of panic and explaining later, Nya agrees to help out Cole, wanting more explaining from him if Kai saying him turning into a human is true.

Lloyd is very excited to see such a big wolf and starts talking to Cole a lot. It surprises Cole, but he also finds it enjoyable to see a kid so excited to actually see him like this after growing up and being told by Lou he should never show his secret to anyone.

Lloyd does bring Meowthra to Cole, and while Kai and Nya were expecting the usual Cat vs Dog or this case, Wolf, Meowthra surprisingly really likes Cole and they get along fine.

Lloyd helps Kai give food to Cole once they hear the wolf's tummy growl.

The next morning, Cole wakes up in the living room as human and he does explain what he is. Pleading for the trio of siblings to not say anything, especially after he smelled Hunters and learned they're the ones who hurt Kai. They of course agree to the promise.

This starts the cycle of Cole coming over some nights as a Wolf and staying the night.

Cole is excited to talk to people again after being on the run and being hidden for so long and a nice distraction from worrying about his mother.

Kai finds himself wanting to spend more and more time with Cole until he realizes he's actually falling in love with a werewolf.

Overtime the rest of the friend group also accidentally learn about Cole but agree to keep the secret. Jay especially being really happy to see his childhood friend again and getting an explanation why he disappeared so long ago.

Kai find himself talking a lot about Cole to his siblings and Skylor. Cole does the same to Jay about Kai.

Of course they do confess at some point. Or basically forced to by everyone.

Cole keeps all this a secret from Lou because his father has grown to always have a constant worry of his son and wife being hurt because their Wolf sides. He talks to Lily about everyone though when he thinks she's asleep, but she does hear it all and is happy to hear her son is happy. She doesn't tell Lou until Cole is ready.

Cole is a clingly bf when him and Kai are together, being very touch starved from only having his mom & dad for so long. Kai loves attention, so it works out perfectly.

Cole as a wolf will sometimes just pick up Kai to bring him t lay down with and enjoy cuddles. When human, he loves to come up from behind for a hug.

Kai brought Cole to work one day and Cole fell in love with the food there ofc.

When Cole first ate cake around the others, he was a wolf and they did immediately get scared with mindset of chocolate bad for dogs. Morning came and Cole reassured he was fine and is still okay to eat anything he can as a human, as a wolf.

Cole does still struggle with gaining control of his transformation but that mainly affects to him turning into a wolf every night. Lily can turn into a wolf anytime she wants.

However sometimes Cole finds himself losing to his wolf instincts and needs to hunt or gets hostile.

First time Cole loses himself as a wolf he is hostile, but Kai slowly approaches him, treating it like he would for Lloyd when he has panic attacks, and brings Cole out of it. Mostly succeeding to get close because Cole smells his own scent on Kai.

They all do try and pitch in to find a way to help Lily, and stop the Hunters.
