Long before time had a name, Ninjago was created by The First Spinjitzu Master, to protect himself and the people he had created, he bestowed elemental power upon the world. He chose the bravest and most pure of heart and he gifted the elements of creation to them. Fire, Ice, Lightning and Earth. Those four became the first elemental masters, guardians of The First Spinjitzu Master and his two sons. 

When he created the original four, I do not think he foresaw the consequences of his actions. Do you think he considered that the elements could mix? Do you think he was surprised when the first secondary element was born? Did he intend for there to be more than four elemental masters? 

Do you think he knew the trouble that power would cause us? The powerless. The citizens of Ninjago. How many elemental masters would become villains? Terrorizing the world, destroying our homes, tearing our families apart. 

There have been hundreds of generations of elemental masters. Imagine the sheer number of innocents hurt by the battles of elemental might. 

We’ve seen it plenty in our own lifetimes. Especially in recent times. Think about every battle, every fight, that Ninjago has had to endure while the current elemental masters “save” us. How much destructive aftermath that power has caused. 

The element of fire raging through the streets. The element of earth tearing through the city. The element of ice leaving blizzards in its wake. The element of lightning leaving the city without power for days. I could continue but I think you get the point. 

No longer will we cower in the streets waiting for the fighting to blow over. We will take back our world and rebuild our shattered society. 

Together we shall bring about the golden age of Ninjago, The Renaissance. It is time for the world to be free of elemental power and their masters.
