What’s on Kavi’s Bookshelf?
These are a couple titles I’ve collected that give big Kavi vibes. Keep in mind that I haven’t read all of these books- so I can’t be the best judge of content matter. This is just a fun way to show a bunch of books that relate to a single character!! I have enough to do an Evette and a Luciana post, if anyone is interested.
For creativity’s sake, I’m not including written scripts and novel adaptations of musicals.
Tumblr media
The Chance To Fly//Ali Stroker and Stacy Davidowitz
Middle Grade
Can a wheelchair user even be in a musical? Nat loves musicals, so when she gets ensemble in a children’s production of Wicked, she’s ecstatic. And her cast mates are nice about her disability.. Well, mostly. Even still, Nat doesn’t know if she truly deserves a place in Wicked. After all, she hasn’t seen anyone like her in any musical, let alone Wicked. When things start to mysteriously go wrong, Nat realizes it’s up to her to save their production. But is she brave enough to put a stop to it?
Tumblr media
The Roof Over Our Heads//Nicole Kronzer
Young Adult
Finn and his family of theatrical talent live in a historic mansion- owned by the Beauregard. However, when new management threatens Finn’s family’s place at this historic home, Finn’s family decides to throw an immersive theatrical show in an effort to raise money and outcry, or at the very least, go out with a bang. When interpersonal conflict, and a frightening diagnosis threaten to shut down the experience completely, Finn is left wondering whether the show will go on.
Tumblr media
That Thing About Bollywood//Supriya Kelkar
Middle Grade
Sonali’s world is collapsing. It’s like no one listens to her, and to make matters worse, her parents might be separating. Sonali wishes she could tell them how she feels, but she’s embarrassed to admit her upset. In an effort to cope, she buries herself in her Bollywood interest. But when her friends and family start belting out in song, and her world transforms into a Bollywood set, Sonali realizes that she has to do something, and that maybe hiding how she really feels isn’t so healthy.
Tumblr media
Marya Khan and the Incredible Henna Party//Saadia Faruqi
Early Chapter Book
Marya Khan may or may not have told her class that her eighth birthday party is going to be an epic henna party, as an effort to one-up her rich neighbor. Okay, she totally did. But it’s not a total lie- she just has to convince her parents to throw one. And what do parents love more than a clean house and an already cooked dinner? Nothing can go wrong- right?
Tumblr media
Stand Up, Yumi Chung!//Jessica Kim
Middle Grade
Yumi Chung dreams of being a comedian with her very own Netflix special. Unfortunately, her parents and her awkwardness have other ideas. Yumi’s summer is spent at a test prep school, and she is not happy about it. But things start to look up when one of her favorite comedians hosts a kid’s comedy workshop. The only catch is that everyone at this camp thinks she’s the absent camper, Kay Nakamura, and Yumi is way to panicked to correct them.
Tumblr media
Midsummer’s Mayhem//Rajani LaRocca
Middle Grade
In this contemporary retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Mimi realizes there may be more to Massachusetts than meets the eye..
Mimi is sick of being the untalented family member, so when a mysterious new bakery opens and hosts a competition, Mimi realizes that this is her chance to grab the spotlight. Quickly, she begins making treats made from exotic ingredients her strange new friend finds in the woods. And why did this new bakery randomly appear in the middle of the night? And most of all, who truly is her new friend?
Tumblr media
Lights, Camera, Disaster//Erin M. Dionne
Middle Grade
With parts written in play script format, Lights, Camera, Disaster tells the story of Hester, a future playwright with ADHD. Hester loves making movies. Rarely seen without a camera in her hand, or a pencil in her hair, Hester knows that she wants a career involving the big screen. But right now, her current job is trying to pass the eighth grade, which is easier said than done with executive function issues.

The Child Manuela: Mädchen in Uniform book (new translation)
CHAPTER 1: VII
For more parts (updates are at least once a week), click #The Child Manuela translation
Mum's birthday. That's what everybody in the the house feels coming. Mum came into this World in May. Lela has been absent-minded for a long time. When Mum asks her something, she always has to think of her secret, of what she is going to give Mum and about what she must not tell her; because it's a surprise. For fear of talking about it, she cannot answer at all. When Mum comes into the nursery, Lela shouts, "Close your eyes!" and she asks until she hides her embroidery. "Ready!", and Mum opens her eyes obediently.
When Mum has gone, the doily reappears. A white doily on which rose garlands are pre-painted in light blue pencil. Lela has green silk—very soft iridescent threads—they are for the leaves. Then light pink and red for the flowers. It's terribly difficult to get a thread like that into the eye of the needle. The eye is small, and the silk threads split, and then one has to lick them a little and twirl them with thumb and forefinger. But then the thread always gets a bit dirty. Lela sighs deeply. She is hot from the effort. But the day is coming. A huge parcel has arrived from Pöchlin with all kinds of delights from Grandma. In the living room, a white tablecloth is laid on the central table. A cake with lights, an awful lot of them. Mum must stay in bed for a long time today. Only when Papa comes from duty, presents are given. Flowers come after flowers. A whole lilac bush in a pot. Colourful tulips and anemones. The whole regiment sends greetings.  Dad bought beautiful things—something silver and something very small in little box—a ring with a star made of turquoise. Lela's doily—washed and finely ironed—is right at the front. Ali sawed a box and Berti wrote a beautiful sheet of paper. It's large and double and has flowers and angels on it. And there—in very nice handwriting, as Berti usually never writes—is a lot of good wishes. It looks like a serious document, and underneath it says, "Your faithful and grateful son Bertram."
All of a sudden, soldiers come into the garden. They line up in a circle—the bandmaster is in the middle—and Dad goes into Mum's room with a bouquet of flowers and kisses Mum, Lela in a white dress and a rose sash following behind, and both boys in new sailor suits embarrassed by the ceremony. To the sound of birthday music, Mum is led to her presents. She hugs everybody and her cheeks are all red, and then many, many guests come and wish Mum "happy birthday." And Fräulein Anna doesn't have enough flower vases. Lela gets to cut the cake and carry it down to the music in the garden, and Ali carries glasses and Berti the wine. A Pöchlin goose sizzles in the kitchen. And Dad has dusty fingers; because he got a really old bottle of wine out of the cellar, and one doesn't allowed to wipe it off, so that everybody can see that it's real.
Today, everyone is being nice to Mum. And the whole house smells of roses and lilacs and candles and cake. And one can always come to Mum; because today she's not allowed to do anything. Not mending, not going into the kitchen, not calculating, just sit on the sofa and be beautiful. And Lela crawls onto her lap and closes both arms tightly around her neck.
"Mum, Mum, Mum, I love you so much!"
"Ali, let me rock on your foot!" Manuela begs.
Ali knows very well that this is Lela's great pleasure—he has to cross his legs, and Lela is placed on the hovering foot and rocks up and down.
But Ali is so absent-minded today.
"I'd rather not, Lela. I have a headache," he says, and Lela walks around Ali like a little dog who feels that something is wrong.
Also, Ali doesn't want to eat. He doesn't want to go out, doesn't want to play football. Ali lies down in bed. Three long days of leeches! Lela is terribly disgusted—thick black worms are with Ali's blood inside.
"What's that for, Mum?"
Mum takes Lela by the hand. Ali is lying in bed compley stiff, but his eyes are looking for the door. He asks Lela, who is sitting on her mother's lap,
"Is it the teacher?"
How, doesn't Ali know Mum any more?
Lela hides shyly in bosom of Mum who sobs dryly.
Ali died that same night.
Lela was awakened unusually early the next day. Berti stood topless in the bright sunlight. He cried silently  to himself, and Lela saw his tears running down his face one by one. He hardly distorted his face, only forgot to dress, stood, stood and cried.
Fräulein Anna, who was combing Lela's hair, said her that Ali was now in heaven.
"Yes," Manuela merely said, and nothing stirred inside her. Nothing was hurting her. It was just that everything was so different in the house today than usual. The house bell rang more and more often. Ladies in black flitted into the room to mother. It was quiet inside. Some of these visitors put their hands on Lela's head: "Poor little girl, she has to experience this already!"
Lela tried to have the right face; because she was beginning to realise that she was pitied. Everything was very exciting and interesting. Telegrams and flowers came. Relatives also came, carriages with swaying laurels arrived, the whole house smelt like a nursery. The house bell was off. The ringing hurt mother.
"Come to Ali," someone said, and Lela stood by a large box where Ali was sleeping. Everything was not at all like home any more; it was also different Ali. He had flowers in his hand and a cross; candles were burning, and the whole room was full of green plants like a forest. That was beautiful. Maybe it was something like this in the Catholic Church. Everyone was crying. Lela was ashamed; because she wasn't able cry. And only as she heard Mother sobbing, she rushed towards her and clung to her clothes.
"Now we have no Ali," Mother said.
And then, only then a raging grief broke out in the child's heart.
"Mum, Mum!" screamed Lela. "Mum, don't cry!"
The fact that Mum was crying was the really terrible, and so it must have been terrible that Ali had died.
"Come, look at him one last time," Mum said. But Lela was trembling; that wasn't Ali, no, she didn't want to look at that Ali.
Then came the morning when he would be carried away. Lela stood at the window and saw that Ali's schoolmates were standing in the street and in the garden like soldiers. Lela was proud that they were there. Now everyone stood around the coffin, the officers from the regiment—completely motionles— in their parade uniforms, helmet with plume in their arms, hands folded on the sabre. Like monuments, Lela thought. Mother sat—surrounded by women— behind a black veil, completely invisible. The priest said beautiful words to Mum, which Lela only half understood. But then the music started outside—a very slow, sorrowful melody—and finally, the child began to cry terribly and unstoppably.
Then came the daily visits to the cemetery. The cemetery aroused fear in Lela. It was her task to fetch water from the well to water the flowers at Ali's grave. It was written on the pump that it was forbidden to drink water from there. Water wasn't clean. Lela asked questions, and mother explained that it flown past corpses.
When Lela squeezed her eyes shut, she saw the lying bodies. All under the ground, an immense crowd, stiff as Ali had lain. "And later, only a pair of bones is left," Berti said.
The worst thing was a compost heap that had its site outside the cemetery wall on a low-lying—also walled—terrain. Lela had to carry the withered wreaths there while Mother remained alone praying at the grave. This pile was smoking; it was not dead and not alive for the child. The smell of decay of all the bouquets with bows, the rusty wire, the brown slimy flowers, here and there a scrap of gauze, a tin basket, a broken vase instilled Manuela with even more fear than the well-kept rows of graves under which she knew the bodies lay. She was happy every time she returned from there to Ali's grave, where mother sat on a bench and stared silently or picking yellow ivy leaves from the grave.
At the memorial stone of her brother, little Manuela did the first reading studies. She suffered from not being able to read all the inscriptions on all the gravestones, for she longed for a pastime for the long hours that Mother spent—deeply absorbed—with Ali. And so she learnt to read, and mother—with all her thoughts unpresent—became hardly aware of it.
Mother had changed since the hour of Ali's death. Lela's little heart, in need of love, felt it well and contracted when she saw Mother sitting there, an introverted, mourning woman, far from all the living, and as if at home in a world Manuela was afraid of.
And every evening, when the sun set, and it was time to leave, she heard how Mum said quietly and wistfully, "Good night, my boy," and it was as if she were speaking to the one who heard her.

Happy 30th Birthday, Buck!
Tumblr media
A/N: In honor of my 30th birthday today, I decided to write a self-indulgent fic about Buck turning 30 and thinking over his life to date and what he wants out of life.  Even though I’m a Scorpio, I fully believe that Buck is the epitome of a Leo, protective, loyal, and always ready to help others.  Enjoy!!!  You can also read this on Ao3 here.
Rating: General
Word Count: 1,137
Buck had never really enjoyed his birthday until he started working at the 118.  Sure, he and Maddie had celebrated throughout their childhood, but his parents never really seemed too interested in his birthday, leaving the majority of the planning up to Maddie.  Not that Buck minded of course.
So when Buck came into the firehouse on July 28th and made his way up to the kitchen, he was greeted with a big hug from Bobby and the sight of a homemade chocolate cake that he just knew his father figure had baked for his birthday.  And if Buck had to blink back a few tears, that was his secret.
“Happy Birthday kid,” Bobby smiled as he pulled Buck into a second hug, letting the younger man tuck his face against his neck to relish in the parental comfort for just a few more moments.
“Happy Birthday Buck!  It’s the big 3-0 isn’t it?” Chimney grinned as he stood up to give Buck a hug once he’d pulled back from Bobby.
“Our little Buck is now thirty,” Hen fake sniffled as she joined Chimney in ambushing Buck with a hug.
Buck blushed as he melted into the hugs before pulling back to share a smile with Eddie, then letting himself fall into his best friend’s arms for a final warm hug.
“So how does it feel?  Any different than twenty-nine?” Eddie asked curiously as he pulled out a chair for Buck to sit down.
Buck bit his lip as he mulled over Eddie’s question, staring intensely at the two numeric candles standing upright in the frosting of the cake, watching as Bobby lit them.
“We can get philosophical after Buck blows out his candles,” Bobby teased as he finished lighting the zero and nodding for the group to start singing.
To be honest, Buck had no idea what he was going to wish for.  Sure there was something he greatly wanted, something he had hoped to have by thirty.  A partner and kids.  But that wasn’t the kind of wish that a candle on a cake could bring, and at this point, Buck had all but given up complete hope that he was ever going to find his forever person.
Being brought out of his thoughts by the final verse of ‘Happy Birthday', Buck smiled at the faces of his found family, the ones that meant more to him than his parents ever had, and for a brief moment, he thought that might be enough.
‘Screw it,’ Buck thought, locking eyes with Eddie for a brief second before he took a deep breath and blew out the candles wishing for what he thought was the impossible.
Buck slowly opened his eyes as everyone cheered, wrinkling his nose as Hen ruffled his hair affectionately.
“Back to Eddie’s question, how do you feel Buckaroo?  Being thirty?” Chimney asked as he sat down on Buck’s right, Eddie taking his usual spot on Buck’s left.
“To be completely honest.  I thought I was going to have it all figured out by thirty, you know?  The career.  The family. The partner.  Kids.  But after the failed relationships, I’m not so sure.  All I know now is that I’ve got this job and I’ve got you all.  And that might just have to be enough,” Buck shrugged as Bobby placed a thick slice of cake down in front of him.
“Buck.  Sure it didn’t work out with Abby, or Ali, or Taylor.  But no one ever truly has it all figured out by thirty.  Just look at everyone here.  I applied for medical school in my late 30s,” Hen frowned as she looked across the table at Buck.
“And I didn’t meet Maddie, or have Jei until my 40s, and Maddie didn’t meet me until her 30s Buckaroo.  There’s still time for you,” Chimney piped up, settling his hand on Buck’s shoulder reassuringly.
“Athena and I didn’t fall in love until after we’d both already had our own separate lives and families.  Love will happen when you least expect it, Buck.  It’ll blindside you.  You just have to be willing to take that leap,” Bobby smiled as he served the rest of the group.
“And I never thought I’d date again after Shannon.  Sure, it didn’t work out with Ana, but I’ve still got Chris and my family, and you’ve got all of us.  Especially Chris and I.  Speaking of Chris, he wants you to come over for a birthday dinner tonight.  My mom and Abuela taught him how to make your favorite enchiladas,” Eddie smiled, gently nudging Buck’s shoulder with his own for emphasis.
Hen bit back a grin as she watched the exchange and cleared her throat.  “Are you sure there isn’t anyone that’s caught your eye recently?  Someone that maybe has been right in front of your nose this whole time?” she asked, covering a small snort with a cough as Eddie glared at her, shaking his head disapprovingly.
Thankfully for Eddie, or unthankfully, depending on how you viewed it, Buck didn’t notice the glare Eddie had given Hen.
“Huh?  I’m not sure I follow.  Am I missing something?” Buck asked in confusion as he looked from Chimney to Hen, to Bobby, and finally, to Eddie.
“Oh yeah.  Big-time,” Chimney grinned, unable to stop his laughter as he finally broke down giggling.
“I’m confused.  What am I supposed to have noticed?  Who am I supposed to have noticed?” Buck asked in exasperation as he looked at Eddie, practically begging the other man to let him in on the secret he was apparently excluded from.
Biting his bottom lip, Eddie took a deep breath through his nose before he leveled Buck with a look.
“Me.  I have liked you since the day I walked into this building.  Hell, Chris already thinks of you as a second dad!  I was just scared to tell you because I didn’t want to ruin this,” Eddie motioned between the two of them.  “We work so well together out of work and at work, and I was worried that if I made a move, and it didn’t work out, that I would mess everything up.  But I’m ready to take that leap.  I know this is a lot to unload on you.  So you don’t have to say anything yet,” he quickly rambled.
His words however were cut off by Buck leaning forward to kiss him, both of them forgetting they were at work until Bobby cleared his throat.
“As happy as I am for the two of you.  And I am.  We’re going to need to fill out some HR paperwork tomorrow after you two talk about this.”
“Yeah, of course,” Buck nodded eagerly, figuring that turning thirty might not be too bad and that maybe it really was the true beginning of his life.

note this is a hatter au from a wattpad book I wrote.
You Weren't there
Kalim X Reader Angst
We had graduated.
We got married.
He inherited his family's riches.
We had a son.
We were happy...
We WERE.
I gazed out the window of my quarters.
I was no longer a Hatter... I was now an Al-Asim.
The Hatter name had died out the moment I decided to be a part of Kalim's family. I still owned our land and property. But I had no use for it.
I thought that this was going be our happily ever after.
Holding the one I love close. Kalim embracing me and our son.
But I guess reality doesn't have a happy ending... Especially us Hatter's.
As I watched the scene out the window.
In the garden was Kalim... With his 2rd wife and daughter.
Yes, that's right. I may be Kalim's first wife... but that doesn't mean I'm the only one.
I watched as he held her hand while with the other he carried his daughter.
I moved away from the window and sat on the plush bed of my quarters.
"How could I be so stupid. How could I be so blind. why did I think... That out of all the people in the world. I would have a happy ending." I muttered to myself as I leaned back on my arms tears pricking out of my eyes.
I went back to the window watching them hold each other close. I traced my hand on the glass feeling the coolness of the material.
I kneeled on the floor hand on the window sill while the other was on the floor.
"If happy ever after did exist~" I sang as I wrapped my arms around myself.
"I would still be holding you like this~"
"All those fairy tales are full of sh*t"
"One more f*cking love song I'll be sick" I sobbed as I was never meant to have a happy ever after.
3rd POV
Little did Y/N know that someone came to visit.
Watching through the crack from the slightly opened door.
Ali Al-Asim watched as his mother broke down crying.
"Why... why of all people... why does it have to be mother that suffers?"
He walked away knowing that it's better to not disturb her like this... He knew seeing him would just remind her of the happy ending she could've had.
He returned to him quarters and sat in one of the chairs in his room.
"Mother... You shouldn't be suffering like this... You told me father loved you... You said he loved you more than the stars in the sky... then why... why does he treat you this way? why does he neglect you? weren't we happy? weren't you happy?" He leaned his head back as tears pricked out his eyes.
"I never get to see you smile anymore. The smile that could shine brighter than the sun. Your eyes became dull... no longer full of hope and happiness like the stars."
he slammed his first into the table Infront of him as tears fell from his face.
"WHY DON'T YOU HAVE A HAPPY EVER AFTER!?"
The 15 year old couldn't bear to see his mother like this...
He's seen her cry too many times...
-Time Skip-
It was Ali's 16th birthday.
Which means a big celebration...
But his mother as much as she wants to attend she couldn't bring herself to leave her room.
The Hatter that used to be full of life, laughing, singing, dancing. The Hatter that enjoyed parties and seeing her friends smile... lost her spark.
-At the celebration-
"Happy Birthday, Young Master, Ali!" The servants cheered.
"Happy birthday, My son!" Kalim exclaimed as he greeted his first born.
"Thank you, Father!" Ali exclaimed with a smile.
"You're 16 now, which school do you wanna attend, Ali!?" His father asked excitedly.
"I want to go to Night Raven College! That's where you went to right, Father?"
"Yes, I did! Me and your uncle Jamil went there together!"
"Then it's settled, NRC it is!"
"I could have the headmaster make you dorm head as well!"
"No, Father. I wish to become dorm head with my own skills." He stated.
"Haaaah? fine, if that is what my son wants. Now everyone! enjoy the party!"
he walked away as he went to meet other guests.
A lot of people were here. His uncles from NRC. His Friends. even his half sister.
But there was only one person Ali wanted to be here.
Ali stood up from his seat and sneaked away.
He went to the quarters of someone he held dear.
he knocked on the door and heard a come in.
"Good evening, mother" he said with a soft smile.
"Ah! Ali, Happy Birthday" She replied with a tired but loving smile.
she was sitting by the window with it being wide open allowing the wind to enter.
He went closer the his mother and kneeled beside her.
"How are you feeling?" Ali asked.
"I'm feeling very well. So how is your birthday?"
"Nevermind the birthday. I just want to stay here with you" he said as he buried his face into her dress resting his head on her lap.
The lady giggled at her son's statement, watching him with caring eyes.
"I have a present for you" She said as she brought out a box.
Ali raised his head.
"Mother... you didn't have to" he said as he received it.
"Oh, but I do. this is something I've been meaning to give you"
Ali opened the box to see a top hat, a golden silk snake wrapping around the hat with a single Jasmine flower.
"It used to be mine. Sometimes in the Hatter family we give it to the person we marry but sometimes we also keep it. But this time it's time to pass it on to the descendant. I redecorated it for you. do you like it?" The elegant lady smiled as she remembered her memories with the hat and proud to be able to hand it down.
Ali looked as the hat.
"I love it... thank you mother" He thanked as he lied down on her lap once again.
"I'm glad you do, my dear son" She placed a hand on his white hair exactly the same as his father's.
Sher stroked his head gently as the moon shone down on them through the window.
-Timeskip-
It was now time for Ali to go to Night Raven College. He said farewell to everyone and as he was about to get on the Ebony Carriage he looked up to a window to see his mother smiling at him. he smiled back and entered.
-at the dorm sorting-
Ali was up next to be sorted.
"State thy name"
"Ali Al-Asim"
"The shape of thy soul... I see you best improve in Scarabia."
He stepped away from the mirror and joined the other students that were sorted into Scarabia.
He will make his mother proud.
-Time skip-
It had been a week since he had arrived. And just like that he had became a dorm head not from money but from skill.
He was currently in potions taught by Professor Crewel.
His phone then suddenly rang.
"Excuse me, Professor. I need to take this call"
"Of course, pup. but next time I won't be allowing it."
Ali answered his phone and it was one of the servants.
He was analysing his potion while he answered.
"What is it? I told you not to call me around this time because I'm in class."
"Apologies, young master. But it's about Lady Y/N"
"Mother? what about her? does she miss me? tell her I'll visit this weekend."
"It's not that sir"
"what is it then?"
"she umm"
"spit it out"
"The lady has passed away"
Ali suddenly dropped the beaker shattering it to a million pieces.
"Al-Asim! bad pup! what are you doing!?"
Ali stood up knocking his seat over. He slammed his hand on his desk that still had the shattered glass and spilled potion. good thing that the potion doesn't give much effect since it wasn't finished.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN PASSED AWAY!?" He yelled as tears pricked from his eyes.
"Al-Asim?" his professor called out worried.
"I mean what I exactly said, young master. The lady passed away earlier this morning. when the servant went to serve her breakfast she didn't wake up. they tried waking her up then realized she wasn't moving. they called a physician... and he said the lady had passed away"
"no... you're lying"
"Ali Al-Asim, what's wrong? Get your hands off the desk your starting to bleed." Crewel said as he took the boys hand from the broken glass and started cleaning it.
"Mother... is she really dead?"
"yes, sir"
"wait... your mother?" his professor asked
"As in... Y/N? she's... no longer with us?" his eyes wide as saucers.
Ali fell on his knees tears spilling not showing any signs of stopping any time soon.
"Mother... no... no... no no no NO! SHE CAN'T BE GONE!" He sobbed.
"Ashengrotto, take him to the infirmary to clean his wound up. The rest of you dismissed. I need to speak with the head master."
"Yes, professor"
-time Skip-
currently Ali was in the head masters office.
"Al-Asim. I heard what had happened. I'll let you go home for as long as you need. I apologize for your loss. You can use the mirror to go home." Crowley said as he watched the boy sob.
he himself wanted to cry since one of the most lovable students he had, had passed away.
"Your mother... was an incredible woman. Not only as a student but as a friend to the rest. It's a shame she... had to leave us so early. I thought that maybe... I'd be dead by the time she leaves."
"Thank you, headmaster... I'll be... heading out now" Ali exited the room and went to the mirror and went home.
Once he had arrived he was greeted by the servants but he just walked right pass.
His sister also greeted him, but he continued walking.
soon he arrived at his mother's bedroom. He saw her... looking like she's sleeping soundly... knowing she's never waking up again.
He walked to her bed side. held her now cold hand and feel to his knees and sobbed uncontrollably
"Mother!... Why.... WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE! I WAS GOING TO GIVE YOU THE HAPPY ENDING YOU DESERVE! BUT WHAT!? YOU ENDED YOUR STORY WITH LONGING THAT WAS NEVER FULFILLED!? WHY!?" he cried... not leaving her side for the rest of the day.
During her funeral, all her friends from NRC came. Tears spilled everywhere as they found their dear friend no longer with them.
they approached Ali who just stood by her coffin.
"Sorry... for your loss... Ali"
He just kept silent.
For the long duration of her funeral... Not once did his father... the man his dear mother loved and longed for, show up.
This had made the boy even more upset. but that did not overpower the sorrow he had.
-Time Skip-
The funeral had long ended...
His mother was buried...
he returned to school but barely spoke.
"Al-Asim... pup. I suggest you go meet with Professor Yuu. You need it"
Ali merely nodded as he went to his magicless professor who taught about monsters and health.
"Ali... take a seat"
Ali sat down across him.
"You haven't been sleeping have you... you have bags under your eyes. You look pale. Ali"
He just sat there.
"I know... I know you're depressed... Your mother was my vice prefect back in our school days. she was a wonderful woman to be with... she laughed... she sang... she smiled... but you know what I love most about her?"
Ali looked up and looked at Yuu.
"She makes people around her smile as well. She wouldn't want you to act like this. Y/N, She too lost a parent in her younger days. But that didn't stop her from being happy... She always had joy in her eyes... and you know you have her E/C eyes as well"
"So please... Don't let this bring you down. Your mother... Be like her. someone who smiles, laughed and most of all makes others do the same. sure reality doesn't have a happy ending. But you're writing your own story so make sure it leads to one."
Ali thought about it. looks back down... looks at the mirror in the room and looked straight into his E/N coloured eyes.
"You're right, Professor. Even if mother is gone... I should make her proud" Ali stood up with smile.
Ali bowed.
"Thank you, Professor Yuu!"
"Just call me, Yuu."
Ali smiled and ran off back to his dorm and to his room.
Yuu on the other hand stood up and went to the window and looked at the sky.
"I wish... I could've held you one last time... Y/N... I loved you so much" Yuu said as he let the tears fall.
Ali pulled a box from under his bed and opened it...
It may not fit his outfit but it doesn't matter.
he stood up holding the object and went to a mirror.
He looked straight at it and placed the hat he was given on his head.
"I'll prove... that I can give us a happy ending, Mother"
and with that Ali changed... He changed for the better. all the old staff watched him... and it reminded them of someone who they once cherished in this school.
-Time Skip-
it's been 2 years since Y/N's passing. Ali Al-Asim was now 18 years old. A third year.
But what's interesting is. when his 1st year ended the mirror had announced something... He was transferred to a different dorm.
-Flashback-
Just as they were all about to leave.
"Wait... It seems someone's soul had reshaped into something new." the mirror had stated.
"What? but that's not possible" Crowley said in surprise.
"Ali Al-Asim... Step forward"
Ali hesitantly stepped up.
"Yes... it seems your soul had reshaped... though you are still suited to be a part of Scarabia... Your heart... Is perfect for the Ramshackle Dorm"
"Isn't that"
"Your mother's old dorm... well it seems like you're becoming just like your mother" Crowley smiled as he placed a hand on the boys shoulder.
-end of flashback-
And since then he became the dorm head of the Ramshackle. His hat suited his outfit. he was happy.
And right now the 18 year old was going to make a decision that'll change his life.
Currently standing Infront of his father, Kalim Al-Asim. wearing a somewhat butler outfit somewhat similar to that of what his mother wore back in her younger days as a Hatter.
"Father... I don't wish to be an Al-Asim anymore."
"What? could you repeat that?"
"I don't want to be an Asim."
"But son! you're my eldest! you're my successor!"
"And I don't want to be your successor!"
"why!?"
"I want to continue mother's legacy!" Ali yelled as he gripped his wrist behind his back while looking down.
"what?"
"I want to be a Hatter! I want to carry on the Hatter name! I want to do this for mother! it the least you could let me do"
"the least I could let you do?"
"Yes! The most you could do was probably be there for her!"
"Ali"
"You left her all alone! making her cry every night! every night for you!"
"She didn't get her happily ever after! Cause you weren't there there for her! you weren't there for us!HECK She would've been contented with just you being there even if you didn't love her anymore!"
"YOU DIDN'T EVEN COME TO HER FUNERAL!" Ali snapped.
"I know you are aware that You're naive, gullible, oblivious and all that. but please... just see it... the least you could do" Ali looked up and looked Kalim straight in the eyes.
Kalim staring back into E/C colored orbs that was exactly the same as his wife that had recently passed away.
He looked down and took a deep breathe
"Alright"
"Huh?"
"I'll... let you go..."
"Really?"
"yes... as you said... it's the least I could do for not even attending the funeral."
"Thank you... father" Ali smiled as he walked away.
this was a new start for Ali... Becoming just like his mother. Writing a happily ever after for them.
We can't say the same for Kalim though.
He sat at his chair.
His 2rd wife entered the room and sat beside him.
"What did he want?" she asked.
"To leave the family"
"what?"
"He... wanted to become a Hatter to continue Y/N's legacy."
"I see... don't worry I'm here... and besides I'm sure we can make a new heir."
"I'm not in the mood"
"But, dear~"
right then and there Kalim snapped.
"I SAID IM NOT IN THE MOOD!" He yelled.
"BECAUSE OF YOUR DAMN FAMILY THREATENING TO HURT MY SON AND MY BELOVED WIFE I WAS FORCED TO NEGLECT HER!"
"IF IT WASN'T FOR YOUR DAMN FAMILY I WOULD PROBABLY BE HOLDING HER RIGHT NOW WITH ANOTHER CHILD!"
"ALL BECAUSE YOU WANTED ME TO LOVE YOU! YOU'RE DELUSIONAL IF YOU THINK I WOULD!"
"What is it... WHAT IS IT DOES SHE HAVE THAT I DON'T!?"
"My heart... that's what it is... SHE WAS MY EVERYTHING! HER SMILE THAT WAS PRACTICALLY MY SUN! HER EYES THAT SHIMMERED LIKE THE STARS!"
"SHE DESERVES TO BE DEAD! SHE'S NOT FIT TO BE YOUR WIFE! SHE'S NOT FIT TO HAVE YOU! ME, ME, ME! IT WAS ME WHO SHOULD HAVE YOU! SHE'S HIDEOUS! SHE'S DUMB! SHE'S NAIVE! SO WHY WON'T YOU LOOK AT ME!"
"DON'T YOU DARE THAT ABOUT HER! FIRST OF ALL SHE'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN TO HAVE EVER EXISTED THAT EVEN VIL SAID SO! YOU WOULD NEVER BE AS BEAUTIFUL AS HER! SECOND SHE GRADUATED FROM NRC WITH TOP GRADES FITTING INTO THE TOP 50! SHE KNOWS MORE THAN YOU EVER WILL! AND THIRD OF ALL SHE'S NOT AS NAIVE AS YOU THINK! SHE EXPERIENCED THE CRUELTY OF THE WORLD TO THE POINT SHE WAS ALMOST BROKEN! BUT SHE JUST SMILED AND SAID THAT EVERYTHING WOULD BE JUST FINE! I BET YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT IF IT HAD HAPPENED TO YOU! FACE IT I'LL NEVER LOOK AT YOU THE SAME I DO WITH HER!"
"THAT'S WHY I KILLED HER SO YOU WOULD ONLY LOOK AT ME- MPH!" she clasped her mouth shut trembling from what came out.
"what? WHAT did you just say?"
"n-nothing!"
"WE HAD A DEAL! YOU WOULD LEAVE THEM ALONE IN EXCHANGE FOR ALL OF THIS!"
"I-I didn't mean to!"
"DIDN'T MEAN TO MY *SS! AS IF I'D BELIEVE THAT! JAMIL!"
Soon Jamil entered the room. in truth he was about to enter till he heard screaming and heard the entire thing.
"Yes, Kalim"
"Take her away. make her confess EVERYTHING that she had done. After that could you call Azul? I want to have a talk with him to deal with something."
"Yes, of course" Jamil left with the 2nd wife being taken away by guards.
"WAIT! KALIM PLEASE! I LOVE YOU! DON'T DO THIS TO ME!"
As they all left the room Kalim sat down and tears started running down his face.
"Why was I so stupid? thinking I could protect you without having to hurt anyone but as a result I ended up hurting you... then lost you. I should've dealt with them from the start. I should've just been there for you... now I not only lost you... but I lost our son too... haha! why am I so stupid?"
For the rest of the night Kalim just cried. knowing can never bring you back.
-END-
"isn't that an interesting timeline."
"Didn't know that there would be a bad ending to their story. I hope this timeline won't stick it would be so sad~" a voice said as she closed a book that's titled 'You Weren't there'
soon the book started to become grains of sand.
"oh? what is this?"
"The timeline is disintegrating"
"I guess that means that story won't be sticking around."She then pushed up her glasses as she looked back at the millions of books being written each having a pen that glows with inspiration and life."I wonder who's story would be finished next~ would the story disappear? or will it be part of the official collection?"
"Let's see what endings are in-store~ After all"
"I am the story keeper~"

Hermione Granger headcanons for her birthday!
Her father, Javier, was born in Cuba, immigrated to Spain when he was 8/9, and he moved to London to go to college when he was 19
Her mother, Jane, was born and raised by a single father in London, she grew up struggling but very well loved
They met in their very first class and fell in love very quickly
Javier proposed when they started med school
They got married and pregnant very quickly after they graduated
They opened their clinic in the same neighborhood that Jane grew up, a very poor area with lots of immigrants who barely spoke English
Hermione grew up reading in the waiting room or behind the front desk, she grew up hearing bits and pieces of conversation in different languages
Javier and Jane wanted her to have a better start than they did, so they sent her to a very expensive private school
Hermione felt very out of place surrounded by white kids that only spoke English, and she learned very quickly that speaking Spanish would only get her bullied
The first time she does magic is when a teacher (who had been very racist to her) failed her on a test because her handwriting was “too sloppy”
The stack of tests caught on fire
Getting her Hogwarts letter was the best thing in the world
Professor McGonagall came and explained everything to Javier and Jane, but it still took some convincing
After the war, Hermione and Ron went to Australia together to find her parents
It was really hard on their relationship, and they spent a lot of time stressed and worried
But then they found her parents and Hermione finally let her guard down
Hermione went back to Hogwarts to do her seventh year, and when she graduated he went straight to the Ministry
She didn’t intend to become a lawyer, but she fell into learning the law and defending it, and it made it easier to write and repeal laws by defending them
She also starts smoking cigarettes around this time, she blames Kingsley for it
She moved in with Ron and Harry brought life to their flat, making them put up pictures and actually clean up after themselves
Harry eventually moved out, but Ron and Hermione fought tooth and nail on it
Ron proposed at George and Angelina’s wedding reception and Hermione was so happy and excited she jumped up and down and started crying
Her parents love Ron, especially after he revealed that he had started to learn Spanish
Even a few words make a difference
Javier and Jane walked Hermione down the aisle, but it was all she could do not to full out run at Ron
Everyone thought that they would move out of their flat and into a house after they got married, but they didn’t, they loved their small two bedroom flat
(It was the extra room for Harry or Ginny or both of them when they needed it)
Hermione was a bridesmaid at Angelina and George’s wedding and Maid of Honor in Harry and Ginny’s wedding, and Audrey would’ve asked her to be a bridesmaid if she and Percy didn’t elope
Hermione was the first person to hold James after Harry and Ginny, she and Ron are his godparents
Finding out she was pregnant with Rose was very hard for Hermione, she and Ron never really talked about children
Ron fainted when she told him, which made her even more distraught, but Ron was overjoyed when he came to
The first time she felt Rose move was during a long meeting, and Hermione started crying which ended up getting the meeting rescheduled 😂
Finding out they were having a daughter was very overwhelming, but hearing Ron whisper Rose beside her made her calm down
They bought their house because Hermione was pregnant and they wanted space to grow and potentially have a bigger family
Hermione wanted four kids, Ron wanted three, nothing crazy
Hermione had nothing to do with Ron’s decision to go to part time, but everyone thinks that it was her decision
She was really sick for most of her pregnancy with Hugo, but then he was here
Harry and Ginny are Rose’s godparents and George and Angelina are Hugo’s godparents
Other than James, they are godparents to Ali Longbottom, Aiden Li-Collins, Lorcan Lovegood, Anika Thomas, and Mason Finnigan
After the difficulties Hermione had during both of her pregnancies, along with how colicky Hugo is, they decided to not have anymore children
But Rose and Hugo are so important to them, Hermione thinks of them and how every decision she makes could effect them before signing any bill into a law
Hermione never shy’s away from telling Rose and Hugo about the war (when they’re older and start asking questions) and it makes their relationships stronger
Hermione just adores her kids and wants what’s best for them, even if it’s a difficult conversation or starts a fight
She does teach them Spanish, but Hugo is the one to really embrace it and speak it fluently
She will always call Rose ‘Mija’ and Hugo ‘Mijo’
Can I just say that I love Hermione, she has been a role model to me since I was five and I wish her the world on her birthday!

yn.friedle everyone has been wondering why i truly left criminal minds. if you saw my tweet a little while ago, you know that i asked for a lawyer to break an nda. i signed an nda because of what happened on set. and people have been speculating that “cut you off” is about them (except matthew), and it is. the nda was because i wasn’t treated well on set by the other cast members (again not matthew), and the crew made me sign one so i wouldn’t talk about it and get the show cancelled. but once the show got cancelled, i called my lawyer and we broke the nda, and now i can speak freely about it. i am so sorry for keeping everyone in the dark until now.
i moved to ncis because a) we had done a few cross-overs with them and b) the ncis crew had been wanting me for a while, so when emily’s “death” happened, it wa a good segway to ncis. and ncis has never made me sign an nda and the cast has treated me amazingly.

yn.friedle happy birthday to my beautiful daughters. 5 years ago i was blessed with these two. for privacy reasons, and that i had just gotten out of a breakup, i hid the pregnancy as well as if i went out to get groceries or something, i would go by myself and will or someone take care of them because i wasn’t ready to show them. and just because i’m now showing them, doesn’t mean that i’m going to be showing them all the time. i want my daughters to grow up not in the spotlight, unless they want to. and yes the father knows that a) i’m posting this and b) that these are his. his involvement is kept between him and i.

Somebody Fix This School Already
Another of my one-shots for Miraculous Ladybug. Includes more of my original characters that can learned about from my post Originals. Please support me by becoming a patreon of me. Thank you.
*****
"Can one of you explain to us how this place is even considered a school," Mason asked the class in front of him.
The group of visiting Greek students had been talking during lunch the day after the Zombizou apocalypse. Mason, Lena, and Apollo had been sent to Ms.Mendeleiev's class while Lyon and Vallia were in Ms.Bustier's. So the other three did not know how one of the sweetest teachers in the school had been akumatized.
To say that the three were shocked by what the twins had told them would be one hell of an understatement. So Mason asked the very first question that came to mind to the nearby class that his friends belong to.
"What do you mean, dude," Nino asked, confused.
Ms.Bustier's class was all sitting together that day, except for Chloe and her minion... I mean Sabrina.
None of the class really knew the other three very well. They only really heard some passing things from Aurore and Mirelle. Nathaniel had been told that the three were nice by Marc when he asked him.
"Well, from what we know, Marinette, Adrien, Lyon, and Vallia are the only ones not to be akumatized in your whole class," Apollo says. "The fact that your teacher has now been the victim to one of those moths makes it more of an anomaly."
"Butterflies, not moths," Marinette corrected.
"We're still not convinced about that," Apollo said. "But that may be more because Beautifly is a hero from our own country so butterflies do not come to mind when evil is being spoken of."
"Anyway, there just has been a lot of akumas from this school, and your class in particular," Lena says. "Even your principle has been akumatized."
They did have a point. Their class, alone, had Bubbler, Stone Heart, Lady Wifi, Antibug, Princess Frangrance, Vanisher, Refleckta, Horrificator, Dark Cupid, Gamer, Robostus, Evillustrator, Timebreaker, Volpina if Lila ever comes back, and now Zombizou. Even outside the class but still in school was Dark Owl, Stormy Weather, Syren, Riposte, Magician of Misfortune, and even the school fencing instructor as Darkblade.
Marinette and Adrien were probably the most aware of what the Greeks were talking about. Marinette actually kept a list of all akumas on her computer to keep track of them all.
"Even if Ladybug always fixes the damage done to the school, that doesn't always stop what has caused the akuma in the first place," Vallia said.
"I don't get it," Kim was confused.
"We figure that Ms.Bustier was not the type to really feel negative emotions, especially after what she tried yesterday," Lyon said. "I mean, Chloe vandalizes Marinette's gift for our teacher out of pure spite and she tries to give Chloe credit and say that she will think of both girls when she looks at it."
"Say what," Lena did not know about that. "Why would anyone on Demeter's green earth try anything like that?"
"It's Chloe being Chloe," Alix huffed. "Half the city has basically been akumatized because of her."
"From what I know, Nino and Max are the only ones in class that haven't been akumatized because of her," Lyon says. "That is excluding myself, Vallia, Marinette, and Adrien as we have not been akumatized at all."
"After how this guy has been basically feeding off of negative emotions for so long, that is an impressive feat to have never been a victim of it before," Apollo said.
"Hold on one second," Lena halted everyone. "I have one question. How long has Bourgeois been acting like a... um..."
"Spoiled brat," Marinette offered.
"Nightmare," Alya suggested.
"The biggest bully in Paris," surprisingly offered by Juleka of all people.
"All of the above," Adrien shrugged.
The class looked at him weirdly. Whenever anyone has anything bad to say about Chloe, he is usually the first one to defend her after Sabrina.
"I guess even the humanized sunshine has his limits," Mason snickered.
Adrien sighed. "More like Lyon really knows how to harshly, but necessarily, give someone a very needed slap of reality."
"Parakaló," Lyon said. Translation: You're welcome.
"What did you say to him," Marinette asked the icy teen. "Adrien can be as stubborn as Alya, and that says something."
"Hey," the Ladyblogger protested, making the class laugh.
"I basically force-fed him a few facts," Lyon crossed his arms, as stone-cold as ever. "Mainly how this girl enjoys making the people around her miserable and is always the first person to put them down."
"You probably needed more than that to talk some sense into him," Nino said. "No offense, dude."
"None taken," Adrien shrugged.
"Trust me when I say that when my brother verbally slaps someone, he doesn't hold back," Vallia said.
"It was just a few innocent questions to those like Marinette, Nino, and Kim that got my wheels turning," Lyon says. "They all said the same thing when it came to Chloe. They all shared a class with her for ten years and the girl has been a bully for all ten of them. Did she even stop when there is a psycho out there taking advantage of negative emotions? No, she did not. All for one simple reason. She. Does. Not. Care."
The class was thinking the same thing. That when Lyon gets icy, he really gets icy. It was one thing when Marinette and Alya would stand up to her, but Lyon took the cake when it came to verbal beatdowns. Vallia was not kidding.
"Do any of us even need to bring up the fire alarm incident," Lena crossed her arms.
That got groans out of everyone, even Lyon and Vallia. When Chloe had been the only one not to be punished that day, Mason and Apollo had to basically force Lyon to be cleaning on the second floor so that he would not shoot the brat with an arrow.
The Greeks were half-tempted to allow him. Especially since it was obvious to everyone that she had been the one to make the false call in the first place yet only got out of the punishment because her father is the mayor. The Greeks were sure that anything he does to make his daughter happy and so unpunishable would be considered abuse of power if anyone bothered to look.
"Has any teacher ever tried to actually punish her," Mason asked.
"Actually punish Chloe," Alix snorted. "It is more likely for Ladybug and Cat Noir to willingly surrender to Hawkbutt than for Chloe to ever be punished."
"I think most of us see akumas going after her as the punishments that she deserves," Alya said. "I certainly went after her when I was Lady Wifi from what Marinette told me."
"When I saw her being chased by a giant hairdryer, I thought that my birthday and Christmas had somehow both had been happening at that moment," Marinette giggled.
"I may have been the Evillustrator, doing that, but you're welcome anyway," Nathaniel said.
"When Sabrina was tormenting Chloe as Vanisher, that was certainly some karma coming back to haunt her," Ivan commented.
"From what Ali had told me, I managed to make her pretty repulsive when I was Princess Frangrance," Rose added.
"I would have paid so much money to see that," Kim laughed. "Especially after she posted that humiliating picture of me that got me akumatized as Dark Cupid."
"I wish I could have remembered Chloe's face when I made her look like me when I was Reflekta," Juleka said.
Each of the students that had been akumatized by the brat all shared their own similar thoughts. That they all wished that they could remember getting her back while they were villains, even if they didn't want to remember anything else.
"Hold it," Lena halted the class, silencing them. "How many of these akumanizations happened while on school grounds?"
Alya, Ivan, Juleka, Nathaniel, and Mylene all raised their hands. All of their torments by Chloe had happened at school, only Mylene's happening after hours though.
"So even with all of you being akumatized because of her bullying or abusing her father's mayoral status, no one in this school did a thing," Mason clenched his fists.
The silence was very telling.
"Unbelievable," Vallia pinched the bridge of her nose. "If anyone behaved like that at our school back home, they'd be expelled faster than you could say Olympus."
"Athena is most ashamed of them," Lyon says. "She is not the goddess of wisdom for nothing."
"It is not like we can do anything about it," Max wiped his glasses. "After ten years of Chloe getting away with her behavior and attitude, the odds of her changing or the school staff doing anything about her is about a quarter of a billion to one."
"Leaving the math to Max, I do still agree with him," Marinette said. "Chloe has always been like this and the teachers have always allowed it. They think that just because her mom left her and her father that she gets to act as horrible as she does with no risk of punishments or any sort of consequence."
"Why not do something about it," Lena asks. "Force a much-needed change."
"What could we do," Alya did not have a plan for once. "They never listen to us and we're just a bunch of teenagers."
"The best thing about being teenagers is that we grew up during this time," Apollo says. "So that means we know what needs to be fixed. The reason why those our age do better than their predecessors is that we have seen the problems they never bothered to fix because they are so set in their ways."
"There is a reason why people say that children are our future," Mason smirked. "That isn't some insane prediction that children will one day rebel and take over the world, you know."
"We... uh... we could all demand to be transferred to another class," Adrien suggested. "Like Ms.Mendeleiev's or something?"
"Would that even work," Mylene wondered out loud.
"If anything, so many students wanting out of the same class at the same time for the same reason should raise some red flags," Lyon stated. "Does this school have a Board of Directors or not?"
Marinette actually had a better idea. She pulled out her phone. There was a look on her face that even Alya was was a little scared of.
Fate chose that moment for lunch to come to an end. The bell rang for everyone to pack up and get back to their classes. Lena, Mason, and Apollo gave the class a look.
"Don't let adults make you think you have no power," Apollo advised. "Everyone has the right to stand up to a bully and to those that won't punish her."
With that, the three of them left, joining Kagami, Marc, and Ondine on their way back to class. Aurore and Mirelle were waiting for them at the top of the stairs.
"You, Greeks, don't hold back, do you," Alya rhetorically says.
"Alya," Marinette scolded.
"Just be happy that none of us are from Sparta," Lyon stated.
"So, what do you guys think," Alix asks them all. "Class or principle's office?"
They all got up as they put their things back in their bags. They were all looking between the two rooms.
"Now or never, right, dudes," Nino said.
"I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we have had enough of Chloe Bourgeois to last all of our lifetimes," Marinette says.
The rest of the class did nothing but nod in agreement.
*****
"You all want to WHAT," Principle Damocles yelled.
"Did you not hear us," Vallia crossed her arms. "We want to transfer out of Ms.Bustier's class."
Vallia proved that Gardens did not hold back even when dealing with authority figures. It was a bit of a shock that it was the Flower Princess saying things like that and not her Ice Prince of a twin brother. Not that Lyon's silence and ice-cold stare was anything less scary. If anything, it only terrified them more.
Ms.Bustier had also been called in when what they wanted had been made perfectly clear. Chloe and Sabrina were behind her, as the teachers did not want to leave the two students alone in the classroom.
"A...All of you," Damocles stuttered, the students nodding. "It...It isn't possible. There isn't enough room in the other classes for all of you, even separated."
"Then make room," Lyon stated as if it was that simple.
"Why would all of you even want to leave," Ms.Bustier asked.
Their teacher, soon to be former-teacher, did look hurt. The students felt guilty over being the cause of her feelings being hurt, but it was also her own fault for never punishing Chloe.
"I think it's quite obvious," Marinette says. "We want to be as far away from Chloe Bourgeois as possible. We are sick and tired of her bullying us and getting away with it."
The rest of the class all voiced their agreement with the bluenette. To say that the two adults were shocked would be one hell of an understatement.
"Just because you are all jealous that you aren't as rich or beautiful as me..." Chloe started.
"SHUT UP, CHLOE," they all yelled at her.
"You can't talk to me like that," Chloe took out her hone with a huff. "I'm calling Daddy to stop you all from being mean to me."
"Call him all you want, we don't care anymore," Nino yelled, shocking the class as he had never yelled at anyone before.
"You have been destroying our work, bullying, and insulting us for ten years and we are no longer just gonna lie down and take it," Nathaniel sternly stated.
"Destroying work," Damocles was confused.
"How have you not noticed," Marinette snapped. "What about last month when Chloe destroyed the children's book that Alya was working on about Ladybug so she could read it to her sisters. Or a few months ago when Chloe dumped all that red paint on a dress I was designing in the art room."
"Well..." Damocles tried, but Marinette was not done.
"What about last year when Chloe ripped apart one of Nathaniel's sketchbooks," Marinette continued her rant. "Or that same year when she stole, and then snapped, a CD that Nino made of his DJ music. Or two years ago when she stuck a bunch of Juleka's and Rose's pictures in a bucket of paint."
"When I first heard about her doing that, I started keeping all my spray paints in a locked box that's in my locker," Alix crossed her arms.
"Which I saw Chloe try and break into more than once but you refused to do anything about it even when I had pictures and videos of her doing it," Kim glared at the authority figures.
"She tried what," Alix yelled. "And you didn't tell me!"
"Hey, even with proof, they didn't punish the brat," Kim responded. "You punching her would not have helped, even though she would have deserved it."
"Chloe would NOT have deserved it," Sabrina defended her 'friend.'
"She would have deserved that and so much more," Alya glared at the minion. "The rest of us see akumas going after her as karma coming to bite her in the butt."
"She's worse than Hawkmoth," Alix said for the second time in two days.
"She's caused so many akumas that you can almost call her Hawkmoth's sidekick," Ivan says.
"The fact that no one in this school seems to care about her victims speaks volumes about the staff," Lyon said. "There were a lot of spoiled brats back home, but at least our teachers and headmaster punished them when the punishment was deserved."
"After all this, Chloe should have been expelled a long time ago," Vallia put a hand on her hip. "Just because her victims don't remember what got them akumatized doesn't mean that the act did not happen at all."
"She even effects what other people think about those that hang around her," Adrien finally spoke up.
"Adrikins..." Chloe tried.
"No, you are not going to steamroll me this time, Chloe," Adrien actually glared at her. "I spent so much time defending you to everyone, but you just used that to hang off me no matter how clear it was that it made me uncomfortable. People already had bad opinions about me before they even met me because you were my childhood friend. They thought I'd be like you. Marinette did when she saw me messing with that gum on our first day of school."
The mentioned bluenette blushed, remembering that she did think he was a spoiled brat like Chloe when she saw that.
"Sorry about that," she said quietly.
"No need to apologize, Mari," Adrien says. "But that doesn't mean Chloe's attitude did not almost keep me from gaining friends. I've tried to get her to change for years, but she seems to only get worse. Every day she bullies, insults, and torments everyone around her and all we get told is that we need to be the bigger person or that there is nothing you can do. There is EVERYTHING you can do. Give her detention, lower her grades when she forces other people to do her work, scold her when she insults someone, act like you are TEACHERS!"
By the end of Adrien's rant, everyone was staring at him like he had suddenly grown two more heads. This was Adrien Agreste, who people have called the Sunshine of Paris. He hasn't talked to anyone like that since... he's never talked to anyone like that.
"What Chloe does to Adrien can basically be considered harassment," Lyon said. "I had a girl once try what Chloe is doing to Adrien. One phone call later and she was slapped with both a lawsuit for harassment and a restraining order before she could say Olympus."
"The look on her face when our lawyer handed her those papers was worth more than an entire family's jewel collection," Vallia giggled.
"Maybe not worth that much," Lyon says, making his sister roll her eyes.
"The point is, we are putting our feet down," Kim said. "If you won't punish Chloe, then we don't want to be in the same class as her."
"She has already been the cause of all our akumazations, other than myself and Nino's," Max pushed up his glasses. "Taking in my calculations of Marinette, Adrien, Lyon, and Vallia never being akumatized, the result of Chloe being the cause of any of us being akumatized again is roughly ninety-nine point nine-nine percent."
"How does he do that without a calculator," Vallia whispered to Rose. "Or a supercomputer?"
"We have no idea," the sweet blond whispered back.
"Have I ever mentioned I hate math," Vallia shook her head. "I'll always prefer geology to geography."
"You just need to forgive Chloe," Ms.Bustier tries. "Set an example for her to follow."
"I can let the anger go but I will never forgive Chloé Bourgeois," Marinette said. "We shouldn't be held accountable for the stuff Chloé pulls because we have to be good role models. You've only been our teacher for four years but Chloé and I have been together for ten years. She's been like this for a decade and nothing has ever changed."
"It's because of people like you," Adrien says. "Adults like you who look at Chloé and think her mother leaving her is enough of an excuse to act like a horrible person. You're better than the people who just want to be on her dad's good side, but not by much. You keep giving her second chances when she's already gotten long past the point of no return. You're enabling her behavior instead of punishing her even when she's been bullying everyone for years. Even I know that and I only started public school this year."
"Now, I wouldn't say bullying," Mme. Bustier says, trying for a smile. "That's a bit too far."
"She's been the biggest bully in the entire school," Alya says, arms folded, eyes firm. "We told you how she destroyed Nathaniel, Juleka, Nino, Marinette's, and my work several times. She's vandalized everyone's work. She's insulted and personally attacked every person in class too many times to count. There's always evidence and several witnesses every single time."
"But what have you done? Nothing," Nino took his turn to rant. "You've never once stepped in because you coddle her and think she'll eventually change even though she's proven she is never going to change . And do you want to know why? Because of stuff like this. Chloé vandalized the purse Marinette made you out of pure spite yet you had the nerve to try and give her credit for it."
"You want us to fix Chloé when you should be doing that yourself," Marinette took the baton. "Instead of doing something a responsible teacher would. Like, suggest a counselor work with her, talk to her dad, or detentions when she acts like a horrible person. You throw the people who care and respect you under the bus. Beyond preaching about love and trust, you do nothing to help us deal with Chloe. Chloe doesn't respect anyone but herself."
"The akuma that turned you into Zombizou was only even here because it was most likely going after Marinette," Lyon was not happy when he figured that out. "We can add nearly getting the human embodiment of a cinnamon bun akumatized to her already very long list of bad things she's done."
"We are the victims of Chloé Bourgeois's bullying and you expect us to understand and excuse her behavior when she hurts us," Marinette continued. "But you will never think about it from our perspective and never when this is reversed. We're sorry, Ms.Bustier, but we don't want to be a part of a class with a teacher who has no respect for us and continues to let a bully hurt every single one of us."
Silence washed over the room after they were all finished. They were all just so done with the brat of Paris.
"Now that you have all gotten that off your chests, I find that it is time you all go back to class," Damocles tells them.
There were about five seconds of silence for the students to process what their principle tried to just make them do. They were about to blow their tops and start yelling and saying that he had lost his mind if he thought that just because they said all that means that they want to get away from Chloe any less than before.
But Marinette's mother, Sabine, came walking in. The look on her face and the way she simply sat down in the visitor's chair like she was supposed to be there in the first place was a little terrifying.
"You, kids, should go and wait in Ms.Bustier's classroom," she told them in a sweet voice that brought chills down their spines. "Your principal, teacher, and I have much to discuss."
They did as she said, everyone quickly leaving the office.
Seeing her mother like that made Marinette remember a time a few years ago when she was told about the Chinese zodiac. Her mother had told her that she, herself, had been born in the years of the tiger. Marinette never truly believed that until now.
"Marinette, your mother is awesome," Alya cheered. "How did she even know to come?"
"At that exact moment, too," Nino says. "That was perfect timing if I have ever seen it."
Marinette smirked as she held up her phone, that she had brought put earlier.
"My parents were listening the entire time we were in there," she snickered. "I figured that Principal Damocles wouldn't listen to us, so I brought out the big guns."
"After seeing your mother's wicked skills with a baking slab during that one time someone tried to break into the bakery last month, I do not doubt that," Vallia giggled.
Marinette slightly shivered as she remembered the beatdown that her mother delivered against a man that tried to rob their bakery. He had arrived just after closing time after nearly a week straight of having a line out the door after the debut of Marinette's Ladybug and Cat Noir baked goods line.
The robber thought that after such a long time of good days, they would have a lot of money lying around. While they did, he had no idea of her mother's past of being very well trained in the martial arts. She grabbed the nearest thing to her, a baking slab used mostly by pizza makers to put pizzas in their ovens, and he was a bloody mess on the floor by the time the cops came.
When Marinette put her phone away, the rest of the class seemed to catch on to her actions and decided to add their own pressure to the principal.
Alya whipped out her phone with a speed that only all of her blogging would have given her. Mylene was very theatrical with her phone call, doing a lot of talking with her hands as her arms waved around as she spoke. Rose and Nino were also quite enthusiastic with their phone calls, not that anything less was expected out of them. Ivan, Juleka, Nathaniel, and Max were a lot quieter when they made their calls. Kim and Alix, of course, were basically yelling into their phones.
When Marinette looked at the twins and Adrien, their phones were not out. It made sense with the twins, having told them that their dad, who came with them, did not speak any French. He was usually very confused whenever they went grocery shopping and one of the twins always had to come with him as a translator. With Adrien, with his very absentee father and non-family bodyguard and assistant/manager, he had no one to call for something like this.
"If you want, I could drag your father here by his hair," Lyon says to the blond. "Or threaten him with an arrow to get him here."
"Lyon, as much as I would appreciate that, both of those things are illegal," Adrien sighed, but Marinette could tell that he was tempted.
"Hasn't stopped me from threatening Chloe with my bow before," the Greek boy smirked. "And that was only when I had a very long breadstick notched in it, not even an actual arrow."
"As the daughter of a baker, I can tell you just how dangerous a stale piece of bread is," Marinette giggled.
One by one, other parents and guardians of their classmates came running or walking into the school.
Otis and Marlena Césaire were the first ones there. Otis was too angry to greet the kids, but Marlena happily gave her daughter a basket of food to give out before both parents vanished behind closed doors. Fred Haprèle, easily recognized from his movie roles, tipped his signature hat to the class before entering the office. Claudie Kanté was next to arrive, giving her son a hug before vanishing behind closed doors. Mr. Kubdel arrived with Jalil, both men looking angry as they passed the class, but Alix was given a thumbs up from her brother.
Mr.LêChiến, a military man, was very intimidating as he walked by after giving his son a pat on the back. It was very easy to see where Kim got his strength from. The same could be said for Ivan as Mr. and Mrs.Bruel greeted their son, as both parents could be compared to WWE superstars. Rose's mother, a keen gardener, was as bubbly and kind looking as her daughter and it was easy to see where Rose got her love of pink from. Mrs.Lahiff did some motherly things to her son after she arrived, also telling Marinette and Alya that they were welcome anytime before she too went into the office.
Madam Kurtzberg, Nathaniel's grandmother, was last to arrive with Captain Couffaine. Luka, having come with his and Juleka's mom, helped the elderly woman up the stairs.
"Rise and rebel, land lovers," Captain Couffaine cheered in the students as she passed them, making her two kids slightly embarrassed.
Luka just joined them in the classroom, sitting next to Marinette.
"All Juleka would say was to come to the school as quickly as possible and to not allow mom to bring her sword," he said.
"If I was Juleka, I would have let her bring her sword," Vallia snickered.
"Considering that I've seen you use your bo staff against an akuma, I can see why you would," Adrien said.
"You two have slight violent tendencies, don't you," Alya asks, only getting shrugs in response.

chapter 1. love you inside out
Tumblr media
Ding. Ding. Ding.
You sit up in bed, smiling to yourself.
The time reads midnight, on December 19th, meaning it’s now officially your birthday, and your phone vibrates with the sweet sound of everyone's birthday messages coming through.
You’re not usually one to care for birthday well wishes, but when it comes from the people you love, it warms your heart and makes you feel that much more loved and appreciated.
Normally you'd be spending the night with them, probably at one of their places, enjoying a surprise party that they would've thrown for you, just like they have for the last two years you've all been friends, but it’s now the last week of your winter exams, and you’re all sleep deprived enough.
Reaching out to your bedside table, you pick up your phone to see the groupchat you have with your friends is filled with quick birthday greetings:
[00:00] Kookie: happy birthday y/n! ;)
[00:00] Tae: have a good day y/n! minus the exam tomorrow :(
[00:01] Soomi: happy bday sexy. i'll do the dishes for a week.
[00:01] Kookie: haha beat you Tae
[00:01] Jiminie: happy bday beautiful :)
[00:02] Namjoon: i hope you have a good year filled with happiness y/n <3
[00:02] Tae: we sent it at the same time you idiot
[00:02] Yoongi: yeah, everything Namjoon said y/n, happy bday
[00:03] Kookie: mine is still first ya dick
You laugh to yourself at the boys bickering — they've always been like that, and it’s now something that you've all become accustomed to and grown to secretly love. They’re troublesome boys to say the least, but they have hearts of gold and know how to cheer anyone up when they’re sad. Your eyes roll at Soomin's promise to do the dishes — she most definitely is not going to touch the dishes but you'll find some other chore for her to do around your shared apartment. She probably would've been cuddled up with you right now, but she’s spending the night with Yoongi.
They met at the very start of college and after about a month of dating, they came out as an official couple. They’re perfect for each other despite their differences...
Soomin is a best friend from childhood. She can be mature when she has to be, and gives great advice (you’ve always thought it has something to do with her being a psychology student) but she also has a wild side she keeps repressed for her nights out.
Although it’s been tamed down quite a bit since she's been with Yoongi, understandably, given his laid back personality, and tendency to avoid large crowds and loud environments. But once he’s comfortable enough, he can be just as childish as Tae and Jungkook.
Namjoon however, is like the dad of the group, he knows what someone is thinking before they say it, and he’s always there to provide support where he can. It makes sense that him and Yoongi are the closest to each other out of everyone else in the group. Namjoon is also in a long distance relationship which you figure contributes to his grounded nature.
You’ve always been thankful that Soomin had met them both and introduced them to the rest of you guys as you couldn't imagine college without any of them.
It had started with you, Soomin, and Jimin. You all came from the same town, and were always grateful that you got to take two of your best friends into the next chapter of your life with you. When you came to college you had already agreed to share an apartment with Soomin, and Jimin found Tae and Jungkook since they live in the same frat house. Then came Yoongi and Namjoon after Soomin introduced them, although you already knew Namjoon from some of the classes you shared. You’re a big bunch, but you wouldn't have it any other way.
Smiling, you go through your other messages and see a private message from Soomin, as well as Jimin.
It’s the same every year — you receive a paragraph from them both, making you emotional enough that you start tearing up. it’s not always what they say, but more the sentiment that comes from both of your bestest friends.
You open Soomin's message first:
[00:00] Minnie: Y/N!!!!!!!!! happy birthday bestie!! i love you so much you sexy angel, i can't wait until these stupid exams are over and next week we can go and have the TIME OF OUR LIVES. maybe even get you laid ;) not that you need a man bcos you are the strongest and most beautiful girl i know, and i can't wait to spend forever with you and be those old grandmas sitting on a bench in some park reminiscing about life.
[00:02] Minnie: oh and sorry I'm not with you tonight, i promise I'll make it up to you, (im just tryna get some stress relief if you know what I mean ;) LOVE YOU XOXO
Giggling at her comment about “stress relief”, you type out your reply before moving onto Jimin’s message.
It’s the message you always look forward to most each year, never admitting to yourself the real reason why.
[00:00] Jiminie: Happy birthday y/n!!! still can’t believe we’re adults, we grow up so fast :( But it's been 6 years of the best memories and I can't wait to make more with you. You're truly an amazing friend, and I cherish every minute I get to spend with you, you inspire me so much being the hardworking, talented girl you are, and i'm so grateful for all the times you've been there for me, and I hope i get to be there for you forever. Love you
[00:00] Jiminie: Ew im cringing at the cheesiness... but when exams are over I can't wait to take you out and show you a good time ;)
Butterflies involuntarily swarm inside you when you read that last part; it’s typical Jimin to randomly say something cheeky like that, even to you, as his best friend. He’s ever the flirt, catching plenty of girls attention with his charming persona, deep brown eyes that become the most beautiful crescents when he smiles, and his laugh... God his laugh would warm you up from the inside out.
No. Stop. You think to yourself. This happens often — you catch yourself thinking about him, allowing all thoughts of him to occupy your mind but you can't. He's your best friend. Don't make it weird. Don't risk it. You type out your reply. keeping it simple and sweet before moving onto the next messages.
[00:02] Seohyun: hey big sis, happy bday. I missed the midnight mark, whooops, love ya and thanks for everything you do for me. i appreciate it. don't have too much fun next week otherwise i'll kick your ass. love seohyun xxxxxx
[00:03] Minsuh: hey y/n, happy birthday! thanks for always being there for me, and have a fab week next week, you deserve it :)
You smile at the last two messages. Seohyun is your real sister, but you've become somewhat of an older sister to Minsuh over the years. She’s Jimin's younger sister, and you had naturally become closer to her as your relationship with Jimin grew over the years. You think it’s cute she messaged you— ding.
Jimin's name appears at the top of your screen.
[00:09] Jiminie: open the door :)
Your heart skips a beat.
Pushing the covers off of you, you jump off the bed into your slippers and walk out into the open plan apartment living space. Turning on the light, you make your way over to the door, all the while trying to ignore the excitement you felt about Jimin coming to be with you on your birthday.
As soon as the door is open, you’re greeted by Jimin standing in the hallway looking all snug in his hoodie and sweats. He’s beaming down at you, holding a cupcake with both his hands in front of him, one lit candle sitting on top.
"Happy birthday, Y/N!" he grins, shuffling to make his way into your apartment. You move over to let him in and close the door behind him.
"Jimin you're crazy, we have an exam tomorrow!" you remind him, but you can't help the happy smile that's on your face.
“It’s in the afternoon,” he shrugs before taking a step closer and pouting slightly. “Plus I wasn't about to let my best friend spend her birthday night alone, was I now?"
It’s a rhetorical question but you answer it anyway with a soft smile. "Hm, no you're right, she'd be pretty miserable without you here."
He looks down at you with a big grin, and gives you a quick wink. "Good, now make a wish."
You look at the little cupcake he holds in his hands and make a wish before blowing out the candle. Taking it from his hands, you walk over to the open kitchen adjoined to the living room and put it in the fridge.
Jimin’s eyes follow you all the way there, pouting again when he sees you put the cupcake away. "Aren't you going to eat it?"
You make your way back over to where he was standing. "I will tomorrow, I've brushed my teeth now pabo, it’s midnight, remember?"
"But—” Jimin gets cut off as you wrap your arms around his torso snuggling your head against his shoulder and enveloping yourself in his warmth.
"But what?"
"Nothing," he sighs contentedly, and you feel his arms wrap around your frame, holding you tight.
"Thanks for the cupcake,” you murmur. “Thanks for everything,”
"Any time, Y/N." His hands rub soothingly against your back, before he pulls back to look at you, arms still wrapped around you. "So what did you wish for?"
"Well, I'm pretty happy with everything I have, so I just wished to stay happy," you smile.
Jimin however seems slightly confused. You can tell by how his eyebrows knit together slightly. "What, there's nothing more you could wish for?" he questions.
You pull him back into a hug once more. "Not that I can think of... why? You think there's something I'm missing in my life?"
He shrugs against you. "No, I guess just there's always more you could want... Or maybe not." he responds, sounding almost despondent.
Feeling like he has more to say, you move back to look at him in confusion. “What do you mean?”
Jimin just smiles, finding your scrunched up face entirely endearing. “Nothing,” he shakes his head, lightly brushing a loose strand of hair out of your face.
Something inside you somersaults, but you quickly ignore the dangerous feeling. “Are you going to go now?" you ask, pulling away from him. Your voice is quiet when you ask, betraying the fact that you do want him to stay.
And as though he can read your mind, Jimin smiles. "I'll stay if you want me to."
“Yes,” you answer immediately, pulling on his hand towards your room. You're sure you’re looking a bit too happy with his response but he just laughs and lets you lead the way.
"Can you set an alarm just in case mine doesn't wake me up, I need to cram a few more hours before the exam," he says as he climbs into your bed after you.
"Yeah sure, I need to do the same, there's no way i'm redoing any exams next semester."
After you both set your alarms, you cosy up in bed, Jimin behind you with his arm wrapped around your waist, your back leaning into his chest and you relish the warmth you give each other on this cold night. You feel content and definitely more happy than normal because Jimin is spending the night with you.
He's always been a source of comfort for you — that's basically how your friendship with him had started.
Both of you went to the same high school, although you weren't from the same group of friends because you didn't like to surround yourself with too many people. You found yourself preferring the company of Soomin, but being the social bunny that she was, you got to become mates with quite a few people, some being Jimin's mutual friends.
Jimin was the popular athletic kid who also excelled in the classroom, and with that, every girl wanted to get to know him; except he wouldn't give them any real attention, only ever flirting and on rare occasions he'd probably make out with one of them. Bt that was only when he was actually interested in the girl and thought he might get something real out of it.
He’s always been a genuine person like that, and he had once divulged to you how hurt he'd been after two girls — one right after the other — had dated him for a month (give or take) just to get in his pants and then cut him off. You immediately offered to beat them up, to which he just laughed and brushed off. You didn't know how to fight, but the anger you felt when he told you that had broken your heart a little because he doesn't deserve to feel like all he is is a pretty face and attractive body.
Admittedly, he has one hell of an attractive body — you've never seen him naked or anything, only his bare torso a few times (which you remember being beautifully sculpted), from when you've walked in on him by accident out of habit due to having few inhibitions in your relationship. But you've always noted the outline of his thigh muscles when he wears jeans, and there’s that one ripped pair that shows the curves of his quads.
And there was that one summer he invited you to watch his final performance for a dance academy, and you were captivated by how he could be so fierce yet so agile. If you’re being honest, when you saw the way he could move those hips, you had thought about what he must be like in bed and the thought alone had you feeling hot and bothered.
But regardless of all that, Jimin is a good person on the inside, and you’ve known that from when you first interacted with him.
You were 15 and had gone to pick up Seohyun from her school. As you had gotten closer to the building, you’d spied two girls laughing at a slightly smaller girl, and your heart had dropped when you realised it was your sister. You didn't know what they were saying but you knew it was upsetting Seohyun from the way her shoulders were slouching and she avoided eye contact with them.
Then out of nowhere one of them pushed her. She was only 9.
"Hey!" you'd shouted, as you ran across the playground, guns blazing, ready to fight some kid for hurting your sister.
Seohyun had turned to look at you all bewildered which only made you more angry, and honestly if Jimin's strong, steady arms hadn't pulled you to the side, you probably would've gotten into some serious trouble that day for hitting a 10 year old.
But you did hit Jimin... as soon as you felt someone's hands on you, you instinctively turned, fists raised and punched whoever it was. After two awkwardly placed punches, he grabbed your wrists and lowered them. "You can't beat up a kid, Y/N," he’d said.
You remember being slightly frozen in that moment — you knew who he was, being popular and all, but you were surprised that he knew your name since you never had any classes together.
Although in that moment you didn't really care about any of that, you just wanted those kids to know what they'd done was wrong.
Jimin must've known that, as he moved you to the side, helped Seohyun up and crouched down to speak to the girls. You had no idea what he said to them then, but their bratty attitude from before completely disappeared, and they were both apologising to Seohyun with their heads lowered.
After they left, Jimin gave Seohyun a high five while encouraging her to stick up for herself, and then he made his way back over to you.
Taking Seohyun’s hand, you had avoided eye contact with him because you had become slightly embarrassed by your reckless behaviour before, except he didn't seem fazed by any of it. He smiled at you while you just gave a quiet thanks, and headed home with Seohyun, but not before turning back in time to see a girl, younger than Seohyun, running into his arms. You figured that was his little sister, which you later found out it was.
After that, Jimin made frequent, small attempts to get to know you; smiling at you in the hallway, inviting you to parties, and even sitting with you and Soomin to have lunch together. You found it slightly annoying but Soomin was loving it, and thanks to her, he felt comfortable enough to know he wasn't being too forward in his attempts to befriend you. Eventually (and inevitably), you warmed up to him, and soon you would laugh together over the incident in the playground.  You would even enjoy the few times he'd sit with you and Soomi to have lunch, although you didn’t become best friends until a year later.
It was early on in the school year, and Soomin’s family had to move a few hours away for her father’s work, meaning she’d be changing schools too. Despite calling her every evening and texting her throughout the day, her presence was missed, and one day you couldn't take it anymore and broke down while you were at school.
Running into the nearest supply room , you sat on a stack of boxes in the far corner which was hidden slightly by one of the shelves in the middle of the room, and cried in peace.
That was until some girl rushed in — which had you confused for a split second — and then she pulled some boy in right behind her, crashing him against the shelf you were hiding behind to start a full on make out session. It took you a moment to realise (since you weren’t just sitting there watching them), but that “some boy" was Jimin.
Holding your breath, you were hoping they wouldn't see you before finishing their little rendezvous, since there was no way for you to get up and leave without being seen, and you would be mortified if they ever realised you were in there with them.
So you sat there silently, fighting back tears as you waited out the school bell for the next class.
Except your wait was cut short when Jimin abruptly pulled away, and sheepishly asked the girl if they could do this some other time.
She was definitely confused, as were you, but he was insistent that he just wasn't feeling well. She must've been offended, as she left with an abrupt, "fine, whatever", slamming the door behind her and leaving Jimin standing there with his hand on the back of his neck, looking down awkwardly at the floor.
You had no clue that he'd noticed you a short while earlier which had resulted in him asking the girl to stop. So when he immediately looked up and made eye contact with you through a gap in the shelf, you were sure you must've looked like a doe in headlights, all wide eyed and confused.
He just smiled and made his way over to kneel in front of you, reaching a hand up to wipe away your tears. "You miss Soomin, huh?" he’d asked softly.
Normally you don’t like to cry in front of people, and you definitely didn't want to cry in front of Jimin, but there was something about him that made you feel like you could confide in him and he would have the solution to make you feel better... so you did.
You cried, and he listened. He listened as you rambled on about how you felt so alone now, and how that made you feel ungrateful because you still had other friends but that didn't stop you from missing Soomi. And when you were done, he just hugged you until you stopped crying.
You didn't even realise you'd been sitting there while the bell had gone, and once you felt a bit better from letting it all out, you were late to your next class. So instead, Jimin proposed you both ditch school to go get ice cream with the warmest smile you’d ever seen, and in that moment, he took up a special place in your heart that he’s been holding ever since.
Accepting his offer, the both of you snuck out of school and by the end of the day you felt so much better.
After that, he became a constant in your life — every high and every low, whether it was you or Jimin, you were there for each other through it all. All the happy moments, like when he got accepted into a dance academy, or you got a summer internship by scholarship at a reputable finance company.
And even the little things, like when you and both yours and his little sisters spent hours making and decorating his 18th birthday cake; the look on his face was priceless when he saw the state of the kitchen and the cake itself. but he gave you all a bear hug anyway and laughed until he was in tears.
After hugging both Seohyun and Mingyun, he held your neck to pull you into the warmest hug you’d ever felt from him, and kissed your temple, mumbling a soft “thank you, Y/N” into your hair.
The comfort he sought from that hug probably had to do with him going through one do the hardest things he’d ever dealt with in his life, but again, you were there with him to get through it...
His dad had cheated a few months prior and it left his mum spiralling in depression, neglecting both him and his sister.
So you made sure you were there for him through it all. And when he needed someone to confide in, you held him tight as he stifled his sobs into your shoulder, and tried as hard as you could to make up for the lack of love he should’ve been receiving from his parents. You even spent extra time with his sister so she wouldn’t feel so alone, and it only made Jimin love you more for trying to fill in the gaps in both his and his little sisters life.
That hug in the middle of his messy kitchen — with his lips pressed against your forehead and arms tight around you — was the first time you felt weak in the knees for him.
You didn’t know then, and you still don’t quite understand the feeling — the one that stuck with you from then on. At the time, you brushed it off as your heart aching for him, causing you to hold him tighter to try to take away the pain he was feeling, because you knew then that you wanted only happiness for him, and you wanted to be the one to give it to him. You wanted to be his source of comfort.
And to Jimin, you were. Even when there were other people, other girls who he could’ve sought comfort from, he always came to you and it made your heart feel whole and proud to be his best friend. Just as he was.
Jimin was there the night at a party when you got drunk and your then-boyfriend wouldn’t stop trying to take advantage of your excitement. Jimin had tried a few times to make him understand that what he was doing was wrong, but when he saw him groping you and the uncomfortable look on your face (but you were too out of it to respond), he resisted the urge to punch him right there. (Although the next day when he started spreading rumours about you, Jimin did go up to him, in front of plenty of people as witness, and punched him square in the jaw, and after that the guy never bothered you.)
Instead, Jimin had grabbed your hand while giving the guy a death stare the whole time so he knew not to mess with him, and took you to his house so your parents wouldn’t be mad at you. He sobered you up a bit, and once your mind was no longer a haze, you began to realise what had just happened and you cried into his arms as he whispered to you softly — comforting you and reminding you that you were always better than him and nothing was your fault. You cried until you fell asleep, curled up against his chest wearing his pyjamas he’d lent you so you’d be comfortable for the night.
That was the first night you’d slept over with him and after that, it wasn’t an unusual thing for either of you to do when you were in extra need of comfort.
However, with your close relationship, it would become difficult when either of you started dating. Either your boyfriend or his girlfriend wouldn’t really be okay with how close you were; so the both of you understood and would make sure to give the other person enough space so as not to ruin their chances of happiness. Not that anyone ever stuck. And you’d find yourself back in your happy bubble with Jimin.
The happy bubble you’re in with him right now as the warmth he radiates lulls you to sleep, complete when he kisses the crown of your head and murmurs softly— "Good night, Y/N."
Tumblr media
Walking out of the exam hall, you make your way across the green yard, breathing in the cold air as you wrap your coat a little tighter against the icy wind that nips at your face.
Your exams are finally over, and your excitement for the coming week kicks in; your friends have all decided to spend this Christmas break together, so you've booked a lodge that is just on the outskirts of a busy town, a two hours drive from college. You’re all going to leave tomorrow morning, so for the rest of the day you need to pack everything for the trip, and in the evening, you’ll spend some time celebrating the end of exams with your friends.
Once you reach your apartment, you enter to find Yoongi, Taehyung and Jungkook lounging on the sofas on the right side of the apartment, all engrossed in some video game that Yoongi is playing on the TV, while Soomin is to the left of the front door in the kitchen, faffing about over some shopping bags.
"Y/N!" Taehyung runs over to you, closely followed by Jungkook and they both hug you so tight that you can't breathe for a second.
"Happy birthday!" Jungkook yells excitedly, as though you can't hear him when he's standing right next to you.
"Thanks," you chuckle, wriggling yourself loose in their grip. Jungkook lets go and goes back to annoying Yoongi, and Tae smiles at you before planting a quick kiss on your head.
"How was your exam?" he asks, letting you go so you can take off your coat and get more comfortable.
"Ugh, don't even ask. My professor already hates me for always dozing off in his class, and now he's gonna be so smug when I have to retake this stupid exam."
"I'm sure you did fine Y/N , you always feel like you've done shit but you end up doing better than most," Soomin reassures you from the kitchen. You walk over to her, standing next to the island which has a big duffel bag sitting on top, and a huge pile of snacks next to it.
"Woah, we don't need that much do we?" you ask, closely examining the snacks.
She only looks up for a second to smile before she resumes packing the bag. "Honestly these boys can be real kids when it comes to it, and I'd rather have them stuffing their faces on honey twists, than having to sit there and listen to them complain about the car journey..."
"Hey we're not kids," Taehyung says from behind you. "I can be really mature when I have to be." It’s true, he can be, but nothing about this trip will need him to be mature so you already know that the week will be spent laughing away at the adventures him and Jungkook will be getting into.
Soomin ignores him so you just throw him a quick wink to acknowledge what he was saying. He shrugs, making his way over to look at the snacks Soomin is packing.
“Plus" —she looks up with a cheeky smile on her face— "we're going to be spending a lot of time with a drink in our hands, so we gotta make sure we got something solid in us before that."
"Ah, yeah," you say hesitantly, "I'm not doing anything crazy this week, and most definitely no hookups." You look at her firmly, raising your eyebrows and she huffs out like a little kid, while Tae just smirks.
"But Y/N, it's been like forever since you got any action," she practically complains, making a pouty face. "And recently you've been all uptight, any guy that comes near you,  you're so frigid around them."
"Soomi, if she's not looking for sex, then what's your problem?" Jungkook asks from across the apartment space.
You wince slightly, knowing that they can all hear Soomi talk about your sex life—or lack thereof. Your eyes meet Taehyung and when you see him smiling at something behind you, you turn to see Jimin standing by the front door, looking confused, but his face melts into a smile when he sees you and Taehyung.
"If who's not looking for sex?" he asks, making his way over to where Taehyung is standing.
Taehyung ignores him and takes Jungkook's previous comment as a pass to verbalise his own judgement. "Well, Y/N, of course you don't need to do anything you don't want to, but Soomi's right about you being kinda off with almost every guy that tries it with you," he says with a shrug.
Looking down, you avoid everyone's gaze, unsure of what to say. No one says anything which only makes you feel more awkward, so you quickly look up, smiling at Soomi and Taehyung while purposely avoiding Jimin's gaze. "I guess you're right, but I’m still going to think about it."
Tae grins back at you and begins snacking on some chocolate sticks, and Soomi jumps up and down excitedly.
"Yes," she squeals, “this is perfect, I ordered some new clothes for the week..." You don't pay much attention to what she says next because you’re trying to see Jimin's face from the corner of your eye.
He's staring at snacks, eyebrows knitted together as he begins to realise they were talking about you. You can't really tell what he's thinking as his face quickly relaxes and he joins Tae in stealing a snack before joining Yoongi and Jungkook.
“That’s great Soomi,” you mumble once she's done talking, trying your best to ignore whatever feeling is growing in your chest at Jimin’s nonchalant reaction. But luckily it doesn’t take much effort to distract yourself from these unwanted thoughts as you make your way over to Jungkook and Yoongi.
“Where’s Namjoon?” you ask Yoongi.
“He’s finishing packing so he can spend the rest of the evening here.”
“Ah yeah I should probably start as well.”
Jungkook looks up at you from the sofa, grinning brazenly. “D’you want any help, Y/N? I’ll even give you a headstart on that guy on girl action you’re looking for.” And then he winks.
Before you can even answer, Yoongi’s whacking him with a cushion which has you and Soomin laughing.
“No thanks, Kookie,” you chuckle, ruffling his hair as you get up to finally pack, and as you enter your room, you hear Taehyung making fun of Jungkook for trying it.
Closing your door, you also make sure to lock it so you can have some privacy from everyone else. You’d like to just enjoy your own company for a little while, before you spend a whole week with your crazy bunch.
Taking off your jeans so you’re left in your sweater, you slump down on your bed and just lie there for a few minutes, delighting in your newfound freedom from exams, and not thinking about anything in particular.
You almost fall asleep there, that is until you hear Taehyung and Jungkook arguing over who’s going to play with Yoongi. Getting up, you pull your duffel bag from your closet and put it down on your bed so you can start packing. You take out your smaller toiletries bag from inside it and make your way over to your ensuite bathroom to start gathering some essentials: toothbrush, toothpaste, tampons (even though you weren’t due for two weeks but better safe than sorry), body wash, and shampoo.
Once you’ve finished with your toiletries, you go over to find some clothes to wear during the week. You plan on staying pretty comfortable so you pack a lot of oversized hoodies and leggings, as well as your favourite Christmas pyjama set.
For your nights out however, you want to make an effort so you start rummaging through your dresses looking for some nice ones to wear. You come across your most recent purchase — a sparkly wine coloured, strapless ruched bodycon dress, with a straight neckline. It’s backless except for the tie up strings that help secure it in place when you wear it. But you have to take a few moments to decide if you wanted to wear it — it’s not too short, stopping a good height above your knees, although the slight sparkle might be a bit much...
Eventually you decide to take it.  It’ll be cute to wear on Christmas Eve if you guys decide to spend the night at that popular club they have in the town.
Finishing up, you pack a few other basics and cute clothes, and for shoes, you take both your favourite high heels, and you’ll be wearing your sneakers. Oh, and your night slippers. Lastly, you open your bedside table to take your spare phone charger, your favourite book, and earphones. There, you think, all done.
Then your eye catches a wrapper at the back of your drawer... condoms. You stand there for a few moments, not sure if you really want to take them because the idea of hooking up with some random guy just doesn’t appeal to you, but then you remember that you’re taking tampons and the likelihood of starting your period is far less likely than the chances of you getting some dick this week. So you throw them in the bag and zip it shut.
The rest of the evening is spent chilling with the guys and Soomin, but you all retire earlier than usual, around 10pm, to catch up on some much needed sleep after your exams, and before your Christmas trip together.
Tumblr media
The next morning, you wake up feeling refreshed and well rested. After washing yourself, you get dressed into jeans and your favourite hoodie which sits on the back of your door — it’s Jimin’s high school hoodie.
You got it one night you’d stayed over at his after he called you for no reason in particular it seemed, but when you got there, you realised that Minsuh was feeling pretty down, and he was secretly hoping you’d be able to help him cheer her up like you always managed to do.
It worked, and after you and Jimin put her to bed, he ordered you takeout and both of you watched a movie. It ended with you falling asleep halfway through, so you just ended up spending the night. And when you woke in the night feeling cold, you pulled on the first hoodie you found.
When Jimin woke up the next day, he smiled at the sight of you, and before you left, you started taking it off to return to him but he stopped you, placing his hands over yours and pulling the hoodie back down.
“Keep it,” he’d insisted. And although you were confused, you just knew he was grateful that you’d spent the night with him and Minsuh — grateful that you understood what he needed from you without him having to ask you... just grateful to have you in his life.
Maybe that’s why it’s your favourite.
Pulling the hoodie on, you get into your sneakers and haul your bag out of your room to place by the front door. Soomi’s duffel bag full of snacks is already there, and when you turn around, she’s there lugging out her own bag.
“Need some help?” you laugh, going over to grab one of the handles and put the bag by the door.
“Thanks,” she replies, out of breath. “Now let’s make sure all the windows are locked and lights are off before we leave.”
While you check the apartment, turning off all the appliances, Jimin and Namjoon turn up at the door. They take your bags down for you both as you  follow behind them.
And now that you’re making your way to the car, you can’t help but get excited for the coming week.
“This week is going to be so good,” you squeal, linking arms with Soomin. “We can start off tonight celebrating my birthday, and then tomorrow we can all wake up and make breakfast together and—”
“We can play hide and seek!” Soomin interrupts suddenly, just as excited.
“Hide and seek, tag,” you giggle, returning her enthusiasm as you both jump up and down, getting carried away talking about your plans for the weekend.
The whole time Jimin and Namjoon watch you both amused before suggesting their own ideas.
“Capture the flag would be pretty fun,” Namjoon adds.
“Oh, if only we could have paintball guns to play with too,” Jimin groans.
“Can you imagine, playing capture the flag with paintball guns,” you respond.
Namjoon chuckles, “It’s okay, we’ll have fun anyway.”
And you all agree.

Wolves don’t Party with Sheep
Tumblr media
I got this request last week, and I thought it was a neat idea. Thanks @etsuko-99 for sending me the ask.
When the Akuma alert sounded, most of the class had been at the end of year party at the park. They had been planning it for weeks and had been careful not to reveal its existence to the class problems aka Marinette, Chloe, and Nathaniel. The three had been has exiled from the rest of the call all year for their bullying of Lila and mean accusations that the girl was lying.
Class president? They voted to replace Marinette the first day of school.
Class picnics; the three weren’t invited.
Field trips; they got Bustier to exclude the three in the beginning of the year. Not that it mattered anyway; all the wonderful trips they had wanted to take had fallen through. They never had enough money to take it. And they never did the required paperwork.
Birthday parties; they weren’t invited to anyone’s in the class. No one went to Nathanial’s birthday party. Or Chloe’s. No one even bother to accept Marinette’s birthday party invitations, she mailed out a month ago. They even missed the required RSVP date on the front on purpose. The invitation was clear, if you don’t confirm your planned attendance, you can’t come. Then they told Marinette they were going to a party for Lila instead.
No one wanted the drama. No one wanted Lila to feel like she wasn’t welcome. And if the three found out, then maybe they should’ve been nicer.
Again, everyone from the class who was invited showed up apart from Adrien to Lila’s dismay. Alya assured the tearful girl that Adrien was probably just busy at a photoshoot, he’d be there if he could.
Lila had just stepped away from for a moment to take a call from Prince Ali when the Akuma alert sounded.
It was a socialite hurt by the malicious lies her so-called friends said about each other by each other’s back decided that everyone should be forced to reveal what they really think. The Akuma was called Two-faced (As soon as Two-face from Gotham heard about the new villain, he contacted his lawyer; someone was getting sued.) Every time someone talked; the world would hear their inner voice say what they really thought about you.
“We should wait for Ladybug,” Alya said. “She’ll be here soon. Nino, turned down the music we don’t want to attract the Akuma’s attention.”
“You don’t kiss me enough,” Alya’s voice was suddenly heard throughout the party, though the girl’s mouth was shut. “You’re amazing. I love how much you dream. You’re a little naïve. We’re perfect for each other. But what’s a girl got to do to get to third base?”
Nino blushed a scarlet red. There were snickers from the fellow students.
“Babe, a little awkward; maybe no one should talk.” Nino said. But as soon as his mouth closed. “I’ve already named all of our children.”
The laughter that resulted from this laughter the couple paralyzed.
“This is so amazing,” Rose burst out. As soon as she stopped talking. “Juleka? Look at me! I have been flirting with you for three years. You know what I got for it? Nothing. Do you like me or not? You think you got it bad, Alya. I once showed up at her house drenched in rain, in a t-shirt, and Juleka didn’t bat an eye.  Stop complaining. At you got a boyfriend who wants to kiss you. All I got from Juleka was insecurities.”
Juleka looked torn between wanted to die from embarrassment and looking utterly pleased with the situation.
Alix snorted, “Still think it’s amazing.” She mocked. Her eyes widened when she realized she spoke. “Rose, you’re the definition of a ditzy of blond. I can’t believe we’re friends.” There were gasps. Rose looked at Alix with hurt eyes. “Honestly, I can’t believe your friends with me. You’re nice, girly, and super sweet. A freaking ray of sunshine. Everything I’m not. I love you for it. I kind of hate you too. You’re the daughter my wishes she had. I can’t stand you sometimes.”
“Ouch!” Kim said and gasped. His inner voice added. “This is way too serious for me. I should’ve just hung out with Ondine. And how is no one talking about how killer Max’s ass looks in those jeans?”
The questions was met with blinks.
“Damn, I owe Luka ten bucks,” Juleka slipped out. She quickly covered her mouth but she couldn’t stop what came next. “Luka dislikes all of you. It’s why he left Kitty section. He’s thinks you’re all gullible idiots. He always told me to watch my back around you. After what happened with Marinette, I see why.”
Mylene frowned. She thought Luka left the band because he didn’t have time for it anymore. “That’s really mean.”
“Truthfully, I saw it coming,” Mylene’s inner voice said. “What’s a guy like that doing in a band called Kitty Section? I mean really. But yeah, I totally called in it Kim being a little into Max. Like back in third grade. The Chloe thing was a massive attempt to hide his crush. I get it. Max can do better than a Neanderthal.”
“Hey!” Max glared. “Like you’re one to talk!”
“Have you seen Ivan,” Max’s inner voice hissed. “He’s a future UFC champion. You’re a future kindergarten teacher. Mylene, beauty, Ivan, beast. It only works out in Disney movies, honey. Besides at least Kim’s funny, and cool, and nice, and hot. Wow, I can’t believe he likes me. I’m a geek.”
Kim grinned, “I like that you’re a geek.” His inner voice, “He’s thinks I’m hot. He think I’m hot. He thinks I’m hot. …I wonder if Nino would be cool with a joint wedding.”
“NO!” Nino and Alya yelled together. Their inner voice, “NO!”
After that everyone was too scared to speak; scared of what they really thought be heard.
That when Lila came back to the party. A happy grin on her face. “Sorry everyone, Prince Ali was insisting I attend his ball. I hope he’s isn’t going to purpose again.”
“You’re all a bunch morons,” Lila’s inner voice echoed through the park. “But useful ones. I’ve never even met Prince Ali.”
Lila paled, “I didn’t say that!”
“Crap,” Her inner voice cried. “What the hell is going on? Do you know how hard it is to keep my stories straight? How hard I work to get these sheep to believe me? Well, not that hard. They’re idiots. I few grand tales and practically believe I shit gold.”
The class stared at her horrified.
“It’s not me!” Lila stomped her foot.
Her inner voice cried out, “Don’t look at me like that. You’re the dumbasses who believed me. It’s your own fault. I only told you what you wanted to hear. Add a few tears and you did whatever I wanted.”
Alya gasped, “Marinette was right.” Her inner voice, “What have I done. My blog is ruined. I’ll lose all my fans.”
Lila fought not to glare, “Marinette’s a mean bully,” She whined. “Remember? She’s been so awful to me since I got here.”
“She called me out on my lies,” Lila’s inner voice snickered. “I warned her I’d get her back. I told her I’d take all her friends away. She should’ve believed me. You guys are idiots who believe everything I saw. Oh, Marinette picking on! Why doesn’t Marinette like me? Did I do something wrong? Waa! Waa! Now I’m here and she’s not. So there! I won!”
Lila finally picked up one what was going on and covered her mouth. The class remained silent torn between wanting to scream at the girl and keep what they really thought secret.
At that moment, Marinette, Nathaniel, Luka, Adrien, and Chloe strolled to through the park with ice cream cones in their hands and big smiles on their faces. They talked pleasantly with each other, stopping when they saw the party streamers and the class.
Marinette didn’t blink twice, “Another class party?” She said sweetly. “Our invitations must have been lost.”
Her inner voice was cold, “Doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t have come to your party if you paid me. Why do you think I put the deadline on the invites? I knew you’d pretend to forget to RSVP. I only invited you to my birthday party because my mom made me. Something about being nice or whatever.”
The students of Bustier’s class reared back as if struck.
“It really pity you can’t come,” Chloe drawled. Her inner voice, “In addition to forgetting to RSVP, you must have forgotten that Marinette’s knows Jagged Stone and Clara Nightingale and a bunch of other celebrities; all of which are going to be at the party.”
“They’re having loads of fun here,” Adrien said brightly. “The party looks great.”
His inner voice was a lot colder, “I told them! I told Marinette, Chloe, and Nathaniel every time you had this party, and every other party, a picnic, a guy’s night, a girl’s night, anything. I told them Alya was the one who got Bustier to not let them on the class trips. Why did you think I never showed up to any events? They’re my friend I showed them the group texts where you all did nothing but insult Marinette. You were bad friends. You trusted a perfect stranger over freaking Mariette Dupain-Cheng. That’s why I stopped returning your texts, Nino! Why I stopped returning all of your texts! We’re not friends anymore.”
Mouths dropped. To his credit, Adrien let his ground and just sent a cold glare to his classmates.
“Mom saw the texts, Juleka,” Luka shook his head. “She’s disappointed in you.” His inner voice, “So am I. I couldn’t believe it at first. How could my own sister be so cruel? So vile. I know Lila didn’t get into your head. But I think feared did. You were scared these idiots in your class would turn on you too. You knew it was wrong treating Marinette the way you did but you did it anyway. I don’t recognize you anymore. I don’t even want to look at you right now.”
Silent tears slipped down Juleka’s cheeks. Rose did her best to comfort the other girl.
“We should go,” Nathaniel told his friends. “There’s nothing for us here.” His inner voice, “Honestly you guys ditching us was the best thing that could ever happen. I have best friends now. Chloe, Adrien, and Marinette are literally the freaking best. I told them how much I liked Marc, and they listened. Chloe actually ended up locking in a supply closest but it all worked out. We’re dating now! I only got a little claustrophobic too.”
“You locked them in a closest?” Marinette pinched her nose. “That wasn’t the plan. It’s kidnapping.”
Marinette’s inner monologue, “I’m not going to jail for you! Oh who am I kidding? Of course I’d go to jail for you. Better be for something cool.”
“It will be,” Chloe preened. Her inner voice, “You’re the best friend I’ve ever had. I’d pick you over all high-end couture in the world.”
“I’m not bailing you out for less than a felony,” Adrien chimed in with a smile. His inner voice, “Chances are I’m going to be right next to you.”
Marinette rolled her eyes, “Nathaniel’s right. We have to get ready for our trip. And my party.” She said. Her inner voice. “Thank you Alya for getting pushover Bustier to remove us from the class trip. Now while you guys are headed to the amusement park. We’re going to Metropolis, and Gotham, and New York City. We’re going on the best trip of our entire life while you guys watch Kim puke up fifty chili dogs… Again.”
Still the class was too scared to speak. Apart from Lila who glared angrily, “Oh please, like your birthday party will be any good?”
The five looked at her and the class with smirks.
“Oh course not,” They chimed together. “It’ll be a small get together.”
“If you call a thousand people small,” Adrien’s inner voice said. “I still can’t believe Marinette has so many friends. People are coming from all over the world for her birthday. Prince Ali’s going. My dad’s going! And he barely remembered my birthday this year. Like what the fuck! How did Marinette become the favorite child? Fine, though, I stole her parents. Also her room.”
Marinette side-eyed him. She knew had been finding more and more of Adrien’s stuff in her room. But she thought she was imagining things. Chloe did the same. Then the top bunk was always made. Again, she let it go. He slept over a lot. Chloe did too. Then he took over a drawer or two for some of this things. Again, not surprising. Chloe did the same; except she took over half of Marinette’s closet. Sometimes she’d come home and he’d be hanging out in her room playing video games. It was fine. Chloe tended to do the same; except for it was laying on Marinette’s bed on her phone.
           …Wait, what?
“Jagged Stone performing for his favorite niece Marinette,” Chloe inner voice sang. “Clara Nightingale’s performing. Luka’s singing. They both invited all the celebrities they knew. MDC’s party. Did you hear about that?” The class gasped in shock. “It’s trending literally everywhere. Marinette Dupain Cheng’s party. It’s practically a red carpet event now. By the way Adrien, Sabine and Tom like me best.”
Again, Marinette had to side-eye her friends. Did they move in when she wasn’t looking? How did they move in? When did they move in? For god’s sake’ yesterday, she caught Chloe working behind the register while Marinette’s parents worked in back. She caught her dad teaching Adrien how to bake cookies and croissants.
“Peter Parker’s going,” Luka’s inner voice added on. “Marinette and him met each other at camp. And where Peter Parker goes, his parents follow. His parents: Tony Stark and Steve Roger ring any bells. And if Iron Man and Captain America’s going, the rest of the Avengers follow. They all RSVP’d.”
“Harry Styles,” Nathaniel’s inner voice repeated like six times. “If I wasn’t dating Marc, I’d go for it. Like, you have no idea; how much I’d go for it. Marc’s concerned. …He should be.”
Marinette smiled as her inner voice spoke what she was always too nice to say, “You were terrible friends. You turned against me for basically no reason. You threw me away. You followed Lila Rossi, the world’s biggest liar, because she told you grand stories and promised you things and opportunities. I’m happy you’re not going to my birthday party. Because you’re going to miss the chance to meet all those celebrities Lila lied about knowing. The chance to talk shop and create connections with the rich and the famous and be famous yourselves; the real reasons you ditched me. Most of the guests don’t know. But that’s fine because I’ll have real friends at the party; and you won’t be among them. Because you’re not real friend. You’re mindless, gullible sheep. …And Adrien, Chloe, I swear to the all gods, if you think you can just take over my room, you got another thing coming!!”
Both blonds didn’t bother to even pretend to look remotely shamed or scared. They just smirked.
It was at that moment, the Akuma two-faced came crashing into the party. All the documents, those in the class and not, scattered off screaming. The five took that opportunity to transform.
Ladybug, Chat Noir, Queen Bee, Viperion, and Renard Rouge came swinging to the scene.
Alya couldn’t believe her eyes. She had been replaced. How could Ladybug just replace her? She didn’t even have the guts to tell Alya!
Fury overcame her, “Ladybug!” The glasses-wearing screamed. Her inner voice, “Look at me. How could you do this? Why?”
Ladybug looked at her teammates. They nodded her a: Go for it. Ladybug swung over the the reporter. “What, Alya?” Her inner voice, “Why are you bothering me now?”
“You replaced me,” Alya stomped her foot. “I’m the fox hero. Not that poser.” Her inner voice, “I’m a much better hero than he’ll ever be. I should’ve been made permanent. I should’ve been made an official partner of you and Chat Noir.”
Ladybug glared, “You posted lies on your blog. You never fact checked. And my sources told me you frequently took part in bullying of three students.” Her inner voice, “You’re a bad journalist. Why did you think I stopped giving you interviews? All those lies you post from Lila Rossi about her, about me. You never even bothered to research anything. Then you ice’d out Marinette; the sole reason I even bothered to give you a chance. You and your classmates really hurt her and the other students. You were mean bullies. And you’re unworthy of being a hero.”
Alya froze. “But, I, it’s not fair!” She cried. “I didn’t know Lila wasn’t telling the truth.” Her inner voice “Crap! I forgot you knew Marinette. She probably told you everything. Ugh, why does she always have to be right all the time? It’s so annoying. At least Lila was fun. Besides, Marinette never even bothered to offer let me meet any of her celebrity friends. Or even mentioned she knew them And that’s so not cool. What kind of girl does that to her bestie? If Marinette had just told me she knew them, I’d have never believed Lila.”
Ladybug just stared at Alya in disgust, “We’re done Miss Césaire.” Her inner voice, “Forever.” Then she was gone.
When the Akuma was defeated, and Ladybug put everything back to the way it was. The students didn’t know what to say or do. Lila had taken the time to vanish form the party. The five continued they stroll through the park. Unfortunately, they had to walk past the class party again.
“Hey!” Nino called. “You guys can come join us if you want.”
“We’re really sorry,” Rose yelled.
Juleka didn’t say anything just looked at her older brother with pitiful eyes.
Alya rushed over, followed by the other students. “Girl, you were so right about Lila. She’s such a liar.” The classmates nodded. “I’m your bestie. I should’ve never forgot to RSVP for your party. If it’s not too late, I’d love to go. Maybe we can even join you on your trip overseas. I’d love to go the Daily Planet.”
“Yeah, me too!” Nino grinned.
“Count me,” Alix cheered and high-fived Kim.
Marinette looked them up and down, “It’s too late. Far too late,” She told them. “To go to my party, to go on the trip, to get back into my good graces, to be friends again. We’re not friends. And we never will be again. None of you be celebrating my birthday with me.” She gave them a cold smirk. “Wolves don’t party with sheep.”

All Too Well
Tumblr media
Summary: Johnny Lawrence was a troubled guy, very few people could get him to let his guard down.
Series if one shots telling the story of the one girl who made him happy.
Part 1: Johnny takes Noelia home to meet his mom.
Late April/Early May 1983
Johnny would never admit it out loud, but he was nervous the first time he bought Noelia home to meet his mom. He had picked her up from home, since she still didn’t have a license and her parents needed the car to go to work anyways, and kept his eyes on the road for most of the trip.
He should've said something. Like how pretty she looked in her pale pink dress, or how nice her hair looked that day (not that it ever looked anything but). Instead, all he managed was a curt “Hey” and he pressed on the gas immediately, not even giving her time to put on her seatbelt.
She had an attractive lemon pie in her lap, zealously cradled in her hands. It looked good. It looked so damn good, but he couldn’t bring himself to open his mouth, afraid that his voice would shake.
“Do you mind if I switch stations?” she asked, to which he shrugged, and didn’t even complain when that pop shit began to stink his car. He made a face though, and she giggled. He cracked a small smile of his own, and the tension seemed to ease.
When they pulled up to his house, she paled, eyeing the place up and down.
“Uh,...wow.” she mumbled, so soft he almost didn’t catch it. She began to fidget in her seat. “Nice place.”
“Thanks.” he replied, lamely.
They sat in silence for a few minutes, neither really knowing how to proceed. He knew he should get out of the car, open the door for her and hold the pie so she could get out, but it was like his ass was glued to the leather seat, as if Duth had finally taken revenge from the time he and Jimmy made him get stuck to his bike seat.
“Johnny, are you sure this is a good idea?”
He turned. Noe was already looking at him, the green flecks in her eyes standing out in an almost unnatural way, as usual. It was hard to focus with eyes like those.
“What?”
“This.” her eyes deviated to the house for a fraction of a second before returning to him. “I don’t think your mom will like me. This is,...I don’t,...” she sighed and uttered something to herself he didn’t understand. “Look, I don’t belong in places like these, unless I’m the help, that is.” the last part came out low and sardonic, but he wasn’t that dumbstruck by her hotness to not catch it.
“Hey, no, c’mon, Noe, don’t say that.” he smiled in what he hoped was an encouraging manner, but her skeptical face told him of the results. “My mom’s been begging me to bring you home.” that wasn’t a lie. Laura had taken to ask every morning if that day was the day she’d meet the lucky girl who put a smile on her boy’s face. He wished she had relented a little, especially the particular day when Jimmy had stayed overnight. The guys still made fun of him. “Seriously, there’s nothing to worry about.” Except his asshole stepfather, but mom had promised he’d be nice. She always kept her promises, but Sid was known for not giving a shit about anything. He knew Laura would forgive him. “Especially with that pie you got.” he reached down to try and lift the lid in the hopes of snatching a few berries, but Noelia’s hand slapped his away. He chuckled and nodded towards the house. “C’mon, I promise it’ll go well. Besides, I already met your folks, so it’s only fair you meet mine.”
Her relenting smile was all the answer he needed, so he got out of his firebird and quickly made his way to the other side, opening the door and accepting the plate she handed him.
She got out a little awkwardly and ran her hands over the skirt of the dress and her fingers through her hair. That last part was to no avail; it was always tangled.
He handed back the plate and closed the door, turning back to the house. To hide his trembling hands, he put one in his pocket and the other on Noe’s back. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a curtain moving and held in a snort.
He let her walk in first, and barely closed the door when his mom appeared in the foyer, her blond hair flowing in soft waves, her long, flowery dress making her look like she was gliding rather than walking. She was smiling from her to ear, her blue eyes shining as she looked from her son to Noelia and back, taking in the scene as if it were a miracle come true or something.
He felt Noe tense up, and he softly squeezed her waist.
“Hey mom,” he cleared his throat and quickly hid his other hand again. “This is Noelia. Noe, this is mom, Laura.”
Laura clapped her hands together and put them against her cheek, positively delighted.
“Oh, I’m so happy to finally meet you, dear.” she stepped in front of Noe, who looked like a terrified deer, and proceeded to hug her gently.  “I’ve been dying to meet you, but I see why Johnny wanted to keep you for himself.”
“Mom!”
Noe chuckled ungainly.
“It’s very nice to finally meet you, Mrs Lawrence.” she offered her the pie. “I hope you like lemon pie.”
“Oh, dear, you shouldn’t have.” she accepted the dessert and motioned towards the dining room. “It looks so good; where did you buy it?”
“I-I made it, ma’am.”
Laura’s eyes widened slightly.
“Well, now I’m even more excited to try it. Rosa? Could you put this in the fridge, please?”
The table had already been set up for four people, and the first course was being laid out. He knew they were almost late, but that was because someone, ehem, decided to change outfits six times. He had a feeling Noe had just been stalling.
She was looking around the place, the further they advanced the more she pressed herself to his side. He had some idea as to what she was thinking. The place was bigger than her parent’s apartament in Reseda.
He pulled the chair back for her and gently back in before taking his seat to her right. Across from the table, he saw his mother hiding a grin behind a glass of wine.
The seat at the head of the table remained empty, and something told Johnny that Sid would be making an entrance, as usual.
Laura didn’t even look in that direction, placing her forearms on the edge of the table and looking at Noelia.
“So, tell me dear, you moved here about a year ago, right?”
How did she even knew that? Probably Ali or one of her friends.
“Yes, ma’am. My parents and I used to live in Wisconsin.”
“Oh please, call me Laura, dear.” she waved a hand to rest importance to the matter. “And how are you liking it so far?”
“It’s great not having winter anymore.”
His mom kept firing questions, but Johnny relaxed, and little by little, so did Noe. His mom didn’t have a mean bone to her, and her curiosity was starkly genuine. As the minutes passed between them, everyone seemed to forget about Sid’s tardiness. Johnny bent his leg, placing his foot on the seat and an arm around Noe’s chair, joining the conversation here and there. He kept playing with her locks, gently pulling at them here and there, waiting for her to turn with a fake annoyed expression only to play the fool.
Noe was just telling his mom about her singing lessons when they heard the front door slam shut. His girl was the only one to jump, startled, while everyone else remained impassive, having grown too used to Sid’s antics long ago.
He strode into the room, already complaining. Johnny was quick to sit properly, Noe turning to him when she felt the absence of his touch.
“I fired that jackass today. I had it with him!” he was saying, his obnoxiously loud voice not relenting even as he sat.
“Who, honey?” Laura was the only one whose mood didn’t seem too tainted by his presence.
“Barney!” he gave her a look Johnny didn’t appreciate, as if his mom were stupid for not guessing who he was talking about. Right, cause usually, Sid didn’t have anything bad to say about anyone, especially his employees.
“Oh, and what did he do?”
“The ungrateful bastard had the audacity to come ask me to reconsider his 'paternity leave'.”
Laura hesitated for a moment before forcing a smile onto her face.
“I’m sure you did the right thing.” Sid opened his mouth to keep going, but she cleared her throat and diverted her eyes towards him and Noe, who stared at his stepfather with her mouth slightly agape. “Honey, this is Noelia, Johnny’s girlfriend.”
“Uh. So she is real after all, eh?” he asked, looking her up and down. The cobra didn’t like that at all, so he leaned forward as casually as he could, hiding her at least partially. Sid’s eyes settled on him then. “Or did you have to pay her, boy?”
“Sid.” Laura sighed.
Johnny clenched his jaw.
“I didn’t.”
“Maybe not to come over tonight, but-”
“Oh, look! Dinner is ready.”
Rosa served them the first course as quietly and as quickly as she could, retreating back into the kitchen before Sid found a reason to yell at her as well.
They ate in silence for a few minutes, the teens keeping their eyes mostly on the plate in front of them.
As the main course was served, Laura spoke again.
“Honey, did I tell you that Noelia bought us dessert?” she smiled brightly at the girl, her approval too obvious. “She made it herself, and I’m sure it tastes as good as it looks.”
“Remember Bobby’s birthday, ma? Noe made his cake.”
Laura’s mouth hung open.
“Why, yes! It was simply divine. All those details! And so delicious!” she turned to Noe, beaming. “I didn’t know you made that as well.”
She nodded, returning her smile.
“Yeah; I like making birthday cakes, and Bobby’s mom couldn’t find someone on such short notice, so I offered.”
“Well, it was the talk of the party. It absolutely outshined the birthday boy.”
Noe chuckled as she reached for the glass. His mom wasn’t lying: that cake was the most delicious crap Johnny ever had. It had been a pity that she hadn’t made it to the party, but his boys made sure to let her know how well liked it had been, in great detail.
“So, I take it you like cooking as well as singing?”
Noe nodded more enthusiastically, and the blond teen smiled at her infectious mood.
“Yes! I love it! I was thinking of going to culinary school after I graduate. I thought about being a baker, but I think I’d prefer to be a chef.”
“Or you could be both?” Laura suggested. “Why limit yourself, dear?”
Sid snorted, and Johnny’s mood was ruined again.
“You want your son to marry a cook?” he asked his wife, pointing at him with his knife. He snorted again. “Like it’s not bad enough she’s a-”
“Watch it.” he warned, tense.
“-a gold digging, illegal mexican-”
“Sid!”
“I’m from Winsconsin.”
“Watch it, man!”
"Mom's Italian though…"
“-She also wants to 'work' in a kitchen.” he said it while doing air quotes. “As if serving someone else wasn’t denigrating enough.”
“C’mon, Sid.” Laura threw her napkin on the table, seeming tired of his crap. “Just stop it, please?”
“Why?! You know it’s the truth! Just look at your son?”
“Hey! Enough!”
“He’s a pathetic little loser. You think a hot piece of ass like that would go out with him for his personality?” he said the last word in a flamboyant way as he leaned over to her.
“Of course I do! Johnny’s a lovely boy.”
“He’s a loser! A good for nothing,...”
Sid and his mom kept on going back and forth, but Johnny didn’t listen anymore. Out of instinct, he reached to his left for his walkman and found Noe’s leg instead. Before he could retreat his hand, she had grabbed it with both of hers, holding his in a tight but comforting grip.
They kept staring at the windows in front of them. This was why he was so nervous. It wasn’t about his mom; he knew she’d love Noe, it was because of that asshole she married.
He just wanted a quiet night with his two favourite girls, as stupid as that sounded. He should’ve known it wouldn’t be a regular night in the Weinberg house if Sid didn’t throw himself into a monologue about how great it was that Johnny wasn’t his kid.
Rosa picked up the plates silently and quickly, but gave the young couple a sympathetic glance.
“Johnny, sweetie, why don’t you give Noelia a tour of the house?”
“Oh, great! Show her where the safe box is while you’re at it! Hell, I’ll just give her the code!”
“Un-belivable.”
The blond stood, not wasting time and pulling Noe up with him rather harshly. She kept her mouth shut as he led her out of the dining room and of the house all together.
He hurried to his car and opened the door for her, closing it with much more strength than he meant. He got into the driver's seat as well, Sid’s screaming muffled now, and turned on the engine.
He carelessly pulled out of the driveway and into the street, driving off with no real destination in mind.
Noe said nothing for several minutes, and neither did he.
Suddenly he jumped, almost losing control of the wheel, but didn’t react further as she ran her fingers through his hair.
“I’m sorry.”
He scoffed.
“Why’re you apologizing? He’s the one being a dickhead.”
“I know.” she pressed her lips into a thin line. “None of what he said it’s true, Johnny.”
He stopped at a red light and looked at her worried face, relaxing just a tiny bit.
“I know that, babe. Don’t worry. Sid hates everyone, and everyone hates him back, so he hates them even more and wants to make them as miserable as he is.”
“No, shit.” she chuckled. “I really liked your mom though.”
That lifted his spirits.
“She liked you too.”
“You think?” she sounded so hopeful.
“I know.”
He grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers.
“Where are we going?”
“The guys said they’d be at the arcade. We could join them if you want?”
“So long as you buy me dinner, I’m sold.”
He was getting quite hungry as well.
“The usual?”
She smiled and nodded, leaning over to kiss his cheek.
He would never hear the end of it if his friends saw him at the moment.

Feng Jiu’s birthday
Gun Gun is troubled. His mother’s birthday is coming up.
His uncle Ali has told of him of how he had tried to outshine his father at giving his mother the best gift ever. It was a success and failure combined because while he did give her the best gift by getting the top scores in class, he also had to train with his uncle as a prize.
Gun Gun also wished to earn his mother’s favor by giving her the best present but he was stumped.
Previously he would just shower her with paid candies and handpicked flowers. But compared to his creative father, it would look pale in comparison.
Seriously, Dong Hua made pavilions, gowns, sword armory, and incense for his wife. How could Gun Gun compete?
Even Bai Zhen gave Feng Jiu exquisitely carved hair pins.
Gun Gun was such a stellar student that good grades weren’t a gift so much as they were expected.
So what to do? What to do?
As his father once said, be smart. As his mother once said, be shameless and you can achieve anything. And Gun Gun was the son of the shameless red 9-tailed fox and the master of shamelessness.
The day of Feng Jiu’s party arrived.
True to form, Dong Hua gave his beloved wife a gorgeous gown he wove himself. It was as much a present to her as it was to himself.
When Gun Gun came, he put on a weakly hidden dismayed face and gloomy countenance as he presented his mother with a decent blown glass flower hair pin. His fingers were covered in bandages.
Feng Jiu cried, “Why are you hurt?”
Gun Gun: I wanted to give you something beautiful.
Feng Jiu: but you always gave me flowers and candies before and those made me happy.
Gun Gun willed tears to well up. “But everyone gives mother such fancy things. How could Gun Gun hope to compete with normal flowers?”
Feng Jiu: it is not a competition, Gun Gun.
Gun Gun sniffled. “Yes it is. Mother likes father more than me. No one puts me first in their heart.”
Dong Hua saw where this was going and started to interrupt but Feng Jiu spoke first. “Husband and son are both first in my eyes.”
Gun Gun: that’s not true. Before, mother would sleep together with me. But now I sleep alone at night. Mother prefers father.”
Dong Hua: that’s just the way things are.
Gun Gun quoted what he had learned from his parents’ love story. “if you love someone enough, you are willing to defy fate and convention.”
Feng Jiu, feeling moved and guilty, spoke, “Don’t worry, Gun Gun, you can sleep with mommy and daddy until you are old enough to sleep by yourself.”
Dong Hua: he’s old enough now.
Feng Jiu: he’s still a toddler!
So it was that Gun Gun slept between a content mother and a disgruntled father. He may not have given the best prize, but he got what he wanted.
At least until his father began enacting his plan to kick Gun Gun out of his room.
Honestly I can’t see this actual happening because Dong Hua just doesn’t lose.

Lose the model but win a hero
OK now for this chapter... Were not getting to Jon just yet, this chapter will be about the class and Caline getting into their summer as Mari is somewhere far away from them.
Chapter 2: Metropolis
Previous
Marinette smiled as the plane slowly came to a landing, it was enough to tell her they were now in Metropolis... And her summer would now begin, no Alya angry at her for anything Lila claimed she did, no last minute clothing requests without payment, no babysitting for free because of a date... Nothing but relaxation for Mari and she was happy for it more then ever, now she just needed to get off the plane, get her bags and head to the hotel.
This summer was looking up for her... That was for certain, everything was planned out for her and all she could think about was the design ideas she would get by being here, she also began to wonder about her friends, she knew they each had plans for the summer but she wondered if she could talk to one of them at some point about things... Making her then worry about what Lila might do... But on the other hand she has been lying about where she would be for the summer so there was a chance she would lock herself up in her room for most of the summer.
She sighed as she got outside and quickly found a cab to get into so to get to her hotel, she looked out the window as they got to her hotel... A gift from Chloe, very expensive and classy, Mari was really going to enjoy herself and design like crazy in the end, she was happy when she arrived to her room, it was beautiful, the décor was exquisite and the sights were to die for, even Tikki loved it as she flew around and pointed out the bathroom, Mari was going to have a day or two of relaxation in there during her summer that was for sure! No way would she pass up such an opportunity Chloe was giving her right now.
But she then wondered about the others as she unpacked.
With Adrien, Chloe and Sabrina...
He sighed as he sat in the floaty, he with Chloe and Sabrina were in Hawaii for the summer, it took some time but they got there parents to allow them such a trip, usually it’s Chloe alone but she wanted her friends “I wish Mari was here” Sabrina sighed, at first Chloe was going to invite Mari... But then came the Metropolis trip making her unable to invite her “I’ll ask her next year” Chloe said making Adrien look at her, she was in a lounging chair drinking a virgin drink while being hidden from the sun by a parasol, at the moment the class was about a year under age from being allowed to have alcohol but soon they would all be able to drink some.
“Do you think Mari will serve some? I mean Chloe your birthday is next week, Adrien’s is a few days after school starts and mine is a few days before summer ends” Sabrina explained making them think “Knowing my lady, she might have some at her party... But only light ones so we don’t get home drunk” Adrien said making them nod, they knew she cared and wouldn’t let them go crazy or get hurt while she was around, she cared for her friends deeply “Why couldn’t Luka and Kagami come with us again?” Adrien asked making Chloe think for a moment.
“Luka had some recordings with Jagged and a music video to do. Kagami is joining us but later because she has a fencing competition to attend before coming here” she explained making them nod, Kagami and Luka had wanted to come, Kagami confirmed she was coming but after a competition she was going to be in... Luka couldn’t due to recording a few songs and a music video so he would stay in Paris and help at the bakery while Mari was gone “I still think it was kind of him to help Mari’s parents while she’s in Metropolis” Plagg purred out as Sabrina cared for him and Pollen.
She may not have a miraculous now, but Mari promised her that when a miraculous would be needed that matched her, Sabrina would get it and that was a promise “I just hope Mari is un-stressing from everything that happened at school all because of Lila and her bullshit lies” she whispered as Chloe looked at her while Adrien slowly went over to join them, he was tired of floating in the water so he decided to join the two girls for a little while “Maybe we should try and visit Mari at some point during the summer?” he suggested which excited Chloe from hearing the idea as she nodded “It would be amazing! We could relax at the spa while our hair and nails are getting done, do a little bit of shopping and then go eat at a fancy restaurant!” she squealed at the plan and of course Mari would want to try it all at least once in her life.
They knew it was going to be an amazing summer for them.
With Caline...
She sighed on her couch, she didn’t know why but her whole summer long plan of going to a beach to relax fell down the drain all because of previous plans the class had backfired and she had to pay to fix everything from her own pocket... Lila had claimed she would take care of it but Caline ended up getting called to pay for it, she tried speaking to Lila but the girl never replied or did anything to fix anything... And so she was stuck at home watching movies and shows on her couch while all the other teachers were somewhere else enjoying their summer.
She decided to look further into all of this and ended up contacting Lila’s doctor to get some advice on how to work around Lila’s medical conditions... Only for him to say she had none, and was healthy actually... Which was very odd at first so she decided to try and contact Lila’s mother, but the woman's contacts weren’t written down making Caline wonder if Lila was hiding something as it slowly clicked then in her head “Marinette was right” she gasped out as she was then horrified at even believing that there “everyday Ladybug” would be evil in any shape or form.
She had to fix all of this somehow, of course right now it was way too hot outside for her to go out, so tomorrow after taking a bath she will head to the bakery to speak to Marinette’s parents and explain the whole situation she uncovered with Lila Rossi and apologize to both them and Marinette for believing Lila in the first place “The class also think Marinette is bad” she then said making her wonder how to take care of that, she needs to fix all of this... But then again she was certain that Marinette would be able to take care of it once she knows Caline is on her side now, she could do it... She’s there “everyday Ladybug” so it makes sense.
She was just certain Marinette would be able to fix it.
With Alya and class...
She was pissed, Mari was to blame for that, Lila had talked about them all having a picnic during the summer... But she couldn’t make it because she had to meet with Clara for an album she wanted to release soon, then called Alya crying saying Mari texted her mean things and refused last minute to make them anything! Lila was so nice! All she wanted was to be there friend but Mari was just pushing her back and even forced Chloe, Sabrina and Adrien to keep away from her! She tried texting Marinette but the number was no longer in use which confused her deeply.
But this just showed how much of a terrible friend she was, so she then decided to message her another way, demanding for her to come join them the next time Lila joins them to say sorry and bring a few dozens of sweets to enjoy together as a gift and sign of peace between all of them... It would be nice and then Lila will forgive her, she would stop being jealous of Lila dating Adrien and they would then all be friends, it was all perfect as she then texted Lila the news making the Italian girl reply a while later how sweet Alya was to do all of that to fix everything between them so she could at last be friends with everyone.
“It’s too bad Lila couldn’t be here” Rose sighed as Juleka held her hand “She promised to tell me more stories about Ali” she added making Alya smile towards the sweet girl, she was amazing and she cared so deeply for Ali that it made her smile “Yeah! Lila actually said she got a reply to my video from some pro skaters on how to do even better!” Alix said making Kim cheer of joy from there friend, everyone slowly began talking about a promise Lila had made with each of them or told them she had news for them about something connected to their dreams... Something Marinette no longer seemed to care about.
For some reason, the girl no longer wanted to help Nino with any short films he would work on that Mylène thought up, gone were the baked goods for the class during big exams to help them focus and relax... She no longer cared for any of them like Lila did, the girl did her best to comfort them and give them her support when something went wrong or someone got akumatized... Mari was no longer lending her shoulder for someone to cry on “Some friend she was” Alya hissed under her breath as she texted Lila to know when the girl should be back from seeing Clara about her next album.
She really couldn’t wait for a new Ladybug story Lila would give her for the Ladyblog.
With Lila...
She was pissed, why did she need to say she would be gone for two weeks!? Now she had to lie to her mom that she was sick for a few days, then would need to lie that she was in danger of an akuma coming after her and Ladybug ordered her to stay home until it was taken care of... It would give her a week and a half of a reason to be home... But the rest? Well she had nothing, of course she did lie to the class about other trips she had... When really she was going with her mom somewhere to have fun for a week and then heading back home to see the family for three weeks.
It would keep the class busy thinking how great she was... And how terrible Marinette was as she also worked on lies about the girl and things she did to her, sweet, innocent Lila Rossi... The class was a bunch of idiots really, not even actually looking up online to find she was actually lying this whole time! But oh well, nothing to do about it now, they would never figure it out if they were that stupid! Sure Sabrina and Chloe figured her out... And while Adrien no longer followed her, she was certain that once she spoke to Adrien’s father... He would get his son to listen to her.
She laughed at her plan, soon high school would be over, the class will struggle with getting into college while the trio of girls got into nothing of the sort, she would be allowed to go to the same college Adrien would go to, then she would work with him, his father will then have him date her and call Lila his girlfriend... Then years later she will become miss Lila Agreste, wife of Adrien Agreste while Marinette works nowhere good, Chloe loses everything and Sabrina is ashamed of not following Lila from the very start, she was drawing everything out in her notebooks while noting certain things about the dream she was making of herself.
She sighed at the picture she took in his room when she lied, sure it got some girl akumatized and wanting her dead... But it was very worth it since now Gabriel Agreste sets her to find the bad influences in his son’s life at school... And while the ones she claims aren’t true... They do make good akuma’s in the end right? She then groaned when Alya and a few classmates text about what she lied about and when she would tell them info or more... She groaned as she opened up a drawer filled with binders of each student in her class (including Sabrina, Chloe, Adrien and Marinette) and pulled out the ones of those who just texted her to find the notes of how to follow up her little lie to each of them.
And while for some it will crush their dreams, others will want to learn more after some time as they swallow up her little lie to them, she couldn’t wait for some to be akumatized... With a few days of separation, she knew Hawkmoth will need to rest after making one and Mayura only came out at random so no one knows when she acts at all... But Lila didn’t care as long as she made the class stay loyal to her... And hate Mari even more, she knew the designer wannabe wasn’t in Paris right now so that gave her plenty of time to make the class wish her dead by the time summer was over.
And she couldn’t wait for the day Marinette Dupain-Cheng gets akumatized.
So yeah, this is a chapter but I didn’t want to get already to Jon (the story would have ended in like chapter... Four I think) so I decided to try and stretch it out as much as I can by making this chapter start summer... By a few days (yeah so Chloe, Sabrina and Adrien in Hawaii was three days after summer started, Alya and the class is a week in summer and Lila is a few hours in the Alya and the class) so next chapter... Mari will be touring a bit and will see Kagami and Luka!
