Have you ever noticed how Vessel has never actually said the words "I love you"? Like. He says it many, many times - each breath he takes is a confession - but he has never said it.

It's always "my love is / as (...)", "I'm full of the love you want", "like lovers", "your love", "(...) falling in love with me". The closest we get is "I made loving you (...)". Which still isn't quite the same as saying I love you.

It's almost like he needs to put some sort of barrier between what he feels and what he knows it's the truth to lessen the blow. Because he does love them, and will continue to do so, forevermore. No matter the cost of rain, through death. He's theirs unconditionally, even if it hurts him, right?

But they don't feel the same. He knows that. He begs for it, for them to fall for him, to take a bite, show him what it's like.

Vessel knows that they want his love, companionship, worship, whatever you want to call it, the way a wolf wants its prey. He knows that they keep him around, keep pretending to be falling in love with him, merely as play thing, a means to an end. He knows all of this and keeps loving anyway, knowing that his love doesn't matter.

You don't really love,

you just hate to be alone.

Because hiding behind big, fancy, flourished phrases like "I'll live like I've got missing limbs for you", and "My arms belong around you", and "We go beyond the farthest reaches", and -

And you know I'll be yours Just want to be worth it I will run like the wind till you follow me again

- is much easier than to admit the very simple and pathetic three-worded truth, knowing it is not reciprocated. Not anymore at least (if ever).

If what they say is "Nothing is forever", then what makes love the exception?

Ochako chases mystery girl off the train, but it's crowded and she quickly loses her in a sea of people. (Could she solve this by using her Quirk to float above? Yes, but one, would draw too much attention, and if its really Himiko then she wouldn't want that, and 2...

She stops, because what is she even doing? There's no way it could be HER. ....right? )

Ochako has a small heart tattooed on her wrist....it's for Himiko, to always remind her of her, and what Ochako fights for in her work.

Cute little gloves prevent Ochako from accidentally using Quirk while she is out and about.

As I said before, Himiko dyed her hair black, cut it, straightens it as needed(though there's still always a stubborn little Stick-up piece!) Braids to frame her face differently than her usual look, pierced her ears because why not? Darker eye contacts to hide eye color. Face mask to hide the cutest smile in the world!

Warning Signs and Instincts of Love

First of all, this is a KILLER title, so so good.

So, this might be due to me watching so much White Collar recently, but I'm thinking of an AU where Carlos works for the FBI and TK is a known fence for the underground art market.

Catch is, Carlos and TK are dating and Carlos has no idea that the man who's part of the cases that keep coming across his desk during the day is the same man he sleeps next to every night.

Over the course of the story, you find out TK's able to get away with it for so long because Carlos will casually bring up a case, or he'll stare a little too long at a case file that Carlos left open because he had to go walk the dog. TK technically didn't touch, it was already open, so he's not tampering with anything. Things like that.

As time progresses, Carlos starts to become a little more skeptical that maybe things are closer to home than he realizes and he starts his own investigation off the book. He doesn't want to accuse TK if there isn't any reason to. Not just because it'll look BAD, but at the end of the day he loves TK and doesn't want to assume anything.

However, TK's aware that Carlos is starting to piece together so he has to start using Carlos' instincts to his advantage. He knows Carlos does lunch with his mom every third Thursday of the month, so that's when he makes a sale. He knows Carlos always signs documents with a red pen so he forges his signature.

I feel like the ending would be a little ambiguous, maybe a little saucy but the story as a whole would be very fun, a little lighthearted and kind of sexy, just like White Collar.
