"fixing" the panic attack scene to be more platonic ™

im extremely active on twt and have been noticing a sydcarmy tweet go viral multiple times a week (like w thousands of interactions its crazy), and its really great to see how much people love and see it for this ship. recently carmys panic attack scene went viral again, and naturally, some ppl gave their piece about how we are all dumb for interpreting it as romantic. that sydney represents his love for his job or his duty to the restaurant (*sigh*).

this scene imo, is the most concrete proof of this ship. i can excuse (not really) interpreting every interaction between them thus far as platonic but this scene....i just refuse. this is gonna be a long post, not analyzing the scene per se because i can't possibly say anything that hasn't already been said but more "fixing" the scene to fit the narrative of antis, and i hope in doing so really shows there's no other way to interpret this scene as other than romantic. again its gonna be a long post bc im just ranting and i think i will lose my mind if i dont type this out.

lets go.

so first off i like to think of this scene as an equation/experiment. simply a problem that needs to be solved.

problem/reason of panic = ...we will discuss this...

solution # 1 = claire -> failed

solution # 2 = sydney -> worked.

Problem/Reason

s02e09 opens up with carmy and claire finally consummating their relationship, with an interesting song choice might i add and carmy dissociating, looking sad, or broken (???) after. because many have said carmy pulling memories of sydney from his psyche to calm down have to do with work i always remember that, it really doesnt make any sense?

carmy is clearly having a panic attack due to him not being "fixed" as soon as he made it official with claire. he felt pressure from his family both currently and in the past to date claire because she is amazing and perfect. add mikey also being a part of that crowd, and carmy so desperately trying to connect with him when he cannot, is why i think he looks so despondent after that scene. i truly think he thought he would be a changed person after everything with claire and when that didn't happen he flipped...

we know this is the reason bc his panic attack starts with their sex scene and the lyric "I dont know" from strange currencies by REM.

this isn't to say that he isn't nervous or stressed about the soft open but its clear that he's not having a panic attack about work nor have we ever seen him have a work-related panic attack (correct me if I'm wrong). in s1 he has one or two due to him greiving his brother.

platonic fix: To make it about work I would have added scenes like when Carmy started that stove fire in braciole, his meltdown in review, some scenes of his horrible time at EMP, and him grieving his brother. i think these would represent his fear of failure, falling back into old toxic habits pertaining his career, the fear of fostering a toxic work environment like the ny chef and also the idea of "failing" mikey

but theres a reason why none of this occurs bc its not about his job or the opening of the bear. this is explicitly about his personal and romantic love life.

Solution # 1 : Claire

carmy proceeds to try and calm down by thinking of claire through literal rose-coloured glasses...

the music is distorted, he's thinking of his abusive family, he remembers every one pushing him to date claire bc shes a #goodthing.

again...this is not about his job and wouldnt make sense to think of sydneys place in his work life as a soultion to his clear personal problem....

platonic fix: in the story of carmys love life claire and sydney act as narrative foils. they have been compared and contrasted for all of s2. my platonic fix for this would be making the NY chef this first "solution" of a work-related panic attack. he represents a horrible time in his life but also represents a time when carmy was at the height of his career. when carmy gets locked in the walk in and has his monologue, its alluded to that he will revert back to that mind set in order to not let everyone down.

NY chef abused him for so long, it makes sense that carmys psyche would readily go back to his insults and the time he himself was an isolated 'psycho' bc it yielded results.

nothing is black and white and i DO think sydney represents a healthier approach to the toxic mess that is the culinary world and does represent that for carmy. if the show was invested in that, sydney and the NY chef could be overtly contrasted like sydney and claire have been.

BUT again this isnt about his job and dedication as a chef...thus why he tries to think of claire to solve his personal problem, and it fails.

Solution # 2: Sydney

LMFAOOO.

carmy then in a crazy plot twist starts thinking of his platonic work bestie sydney adamu....the love song dedicated by the show to his relationship with his girlfriend is then made clear highlighting some pretty damning lyrics about desire and love.....all platonic btw. yes you are dumb if you think otherwise (*wink*)

I actually have two platonic fixes for this...

platonic fix # 1: if we only wanted to focus on sydney as a person who calms carmy down because shes his work bestie who represents his responsibilty to the bear and the postive change they are trying effect in the culinary world, i would add scenes where they are...you know actually cooking???

i think its pretty crazy how the memories carmys immediately jump to are ones that have little to do with their jobs. when they first meet (would also like to note that when carmy first laid eyes on Sydney, he forgot she was there for a job, so this is his raw reaction to seeing a pretty girl lol) and when she comes back after she quit and their break up fight.

i would add their scenes in carmys kitchen (even tho this is extremely damning bc they were flirting DOWN - they don't make this easy at all). this represents their collaboration skills and the way they WORK and bounce ideas off of each other seamlessly. specifically the scene about him wanting to give her a star, representing his duty to her and the restaurant.

*and no shade to carmy but if his responsibility to the bear/syd as a co-worker was bothering him this much and calmed him down wouldn't he have just immediately called the fridge guy.....anyways*

platonic fix # 2 (the best one): if i was chris storer and joanna calo and i REALLY wanted to sell it that carmy isnt in love with sydney then i would put every single member of the OG beef crew + Nat to calm him down not just Sydney.

im talking to them laughing at family, carmy giving tina his chefs knife, richie in his new suit, carmys one on one w Marcus/trying his donut, nat telling carmy shes pregnant (signifing rebirth/wanting to rid all the toxic abuse from his family), carmy trying sydney risotto, and her face when he said it was tremendous etc etc...you get the gist

and honestly?

even as i type this out im tearing up a little bit bc that would have been really beautiful. carmy is changing. he can and is getting rid of old toxic habits from his family and the mess that is the culinary industry. things are changing for the better....that would be beautiful....IF his panic attack was about any of these things lol.

and to even look at this scene without this need for symmetry and we entertain the idea of carmy thinking about his job as a solution for his personal problem...carmy has said himself (s02e01) that this isnt fun for him. i dont think that means he hates cooking i kinda disagree with the ppl who think he isnt passionate about it. i just think currently its something that doesnt bring him joy but i do think its something hes starting to or at least could have started to enjoy if he just committed to working with syd...

conclusion

theres a lot of....delusion? denial? straight up bias? yes all of that, going on.

idk what is happening bc this show is really great at being subtle. but i dont know whats more in your face, dumbed down, even a toddler could understand, than this scene. if you dont come out of this understanding that carmy is falling in love/currently in love with Sydney...and i hate using this term..but you just arent media literate.

bonus: bc it makes me laugh and connects the purpose and solutions.

i think we need a Snyder Sydcarmy Cut™ of bolognese and omelette.

the start of the episode is when sydney and carmy fight over claires inclusion in the menu, and also when sydney randomly asks him to define his relationship with Claire. the episode would continue until we get to the table scene.

i think its WILD how as soon as Sydney asks him to define their relationship, carmy starts calling claire his girlfriend. then the show proceeds to insert sydney in their romantic montage, shows her tattoo about heartbreak and someone getting in the way of your relationship...THEN proceeds to have carmy compare these two women in his mind and only calms down after seeing Sydney.

i could talk about this scene for AGES. wheres the straitjacket....

what's your thought about ppl thinking FK is faking everything? just saw someone saying that behind the scene of that one khaotung picture in busan whos first take it it was all fake, they were saying something about reflection on the phone bc you couldn't see he taking the photo. they said this is they kind of fanservice, like secretly taken photos (those taked by p'som) to look like they are bestfriends-that-could-be-actually-boyfriends-in-secret and i don't know what to think about this take. Like, why would they fake something so little if they could go to the big picture and do something that could really exudes fanservice and make ppl believe even harder in this such storyline. Having a hard time trying to understand this take, bc sounds like nothing is really true that every step is thought out in advance, when i don’t think it is.

like, if they could fake it at least they would fake it in way that feels real and touchable like everyone does, not in so called secretly taken pictures posted by they menager.

They have always behave this way even before they are officially paired up together. They were going on trips together back in 2020.

And pretty much all the antics we see are of other people filming them while the boys are just going about their usual routine…

Not to mention the countless teasing by their directors, seniors etc. about how our boys are just so sticky together - you only need to find one of them to find the partner hehe 😉

Hollywood Superstar YN to Make Comeback on Her Saturday Night Live Hosting Debut This December 2

‘From The Other Side’ actress and producer, YN will host NBC’s Emmy-winning live comedy show, Saturday Night Live for the first time this Saturday after her hiatus last year.

It was announced through social media today that the Oscar-nominated actress will make her hosting debut on the show this coming Saturday.

Along with YN, Indonesian singer-songwriter NIKI will also be having her SNL debut as the musical guest of the night.

It is worth mentioning that this will be YN's comeback in front of the cameras after taking an unexpected break in April 2022. She pulled out from projects with other big personalities from Hollywood such as Chris Evans and director, Wes Anderson.

Fans were instantly delighted by the news and expressed their joy over Twitter, with YN’s name being listed on worldwide trends almost immediately after the announcement.

You enter through the big blue curtains, wearing a classy Gianni Versace Couture black long bell-sleeve dress from the 90s. You were looking like complete royalty with the matching diamond necklace and earrings you wore as you had your hair in a sleek low bun. The audience welcomed you with cheers and you cannot help but be surprised by everyone’s reaction.

“Oh, wow…” you mumbled, Turning your eyes from the audience to the host.

“Wow, right? That’s a lot of love.” Jimmy said, which you nodded at.

“Yeah, this is a little overwhelming… in a good way,” you said which made everyone laugh. Before you turned and waved to the viewers again, “Hi, everyone!”

They began cheering in response. You giggled with their enthusiasm.

“This is what you get for suddenly taking a break last year!” Jimmy said, using a stern, sarcastic tone.

You chuckled with that, “This is actually great! Maybe I should take unexpected hiatus every once in a while–”

“No, no, no.” Jimmy cut you off, more worried, holding your hand that rests on his table. You two instantly laughed. “We missed you a lot!”

“So… you’ll be hosting Saturday Night Live for this week…” he began.

“Yes. Yes, I am.” you nod as you shifted in your seat.

“How was it? How does it feel?”

“Oh, it feels really awesome! I’ve been wanting to host for a long time now since I loved the show ever since I was little. And I was really nervous at first when I showed up there. But everyone has been pretty nice and so talented. Everyone works so fast.” you shared, making the viewers laugh. “I’m not kidding! I was with the cast and Lorne Michaels in his office. Then, they asked me if I have any sketch ideas. After I shared mine, everyone just started to pitch like a hundred sketches and I was just sitting there, watching everyone collaborate. It’s amazing to see.”

“Yeah, that’s how it goes in the show.” Jimmy agreed. “It’s the best crew up there. The writers, the cast, the makeup and hair crew.”

“They are all wonderful,” you added.

“Yes. And you are going to be fantastic this weekend. Knock ‘em dead in Studio 8H. We’ll be watching.” he clapped and the audience cheered. Your lips form into a smile as you felt relief growing in your chest.

Jimmy continued as the applause lies low, “The last time you were here, we were talking about your then-upcoming film, From The Other Side. And now, you got nominations for it and even won a BAFTA’s Best Actress last February! Congratulation on that. You deserve it.”

Everyone clapped while you smiled, “Thank you.”

“And your director, Emerald Fennell, read your speech for you. In which you state that she made you make that speech hours before the ceremony?!”

“Ah, yes.” you chortled. “I wasn’t expecting to win that night. I mean, the lineup of other nominees for that category that night was really incredible. So I didn’t bother to write anything. But Em really pushed me to send something. She always believed in me and knew that I have a chance in winning that award. So I just texted her anything I could think of and said I love Brandon Fraser.”

The conclusion at the end made Jimmy and the audience laugh.

“I mean, who doesn’t?” the host backed you up. “Then, Academy Awards came by March and everyone was expecting you’ll show up. But during the red carpet event, you posted this…”

Jimmy showed a snapshot of you playing the piano. You grinned, “I did. I’ve been learning to play the piano since last year and I know my supporters are waiting for me. So I just showed them I’m at home so they won’t wait up.”

“That’s nice and you were really good with the piano.” Jimmy compliments. “But can we talk about your hiatus?”

You pause and nod. Now, this is the part Hailey gave you a heads-up on. You were aware that your unanticipated break will be talked about tonight. Your manager gave you a guide on how the show and host will discuss everything in order.

Jimmy, on the flip side, was told earlier by his producers that he can ask about it. Admittedly, he was confused and worried if you knew that you were going to be interviewed about your break since everyone knows you have been private for the past couple of years. He doesn’t want to cause any discomfort to his guests. When he confirmed that you agreed with the topic of tonight’s interview, he agreed to discuss it with guide questions from his writers.

“Yeah, sure.”

The tension was rising in the room at the moment you replied. It was dead silent. But what made it lighter was when the production crew chose to play things off by setting the spotlight just on you two, making it seem like an interrogation scene. It made everyone laugh, even you and Jimmy.

“So… people were saying you took a break last year because of a lot of things.” the host spoke, emphasizing the word.

“Oh, yeah. I heard about it.” you raised an eyebrow. “How about let’s play a game of true or false with those headline rumors?”

The audience cheered with excitement. This is a rare time a big celebrity would debunk or confirm news about them personally.

“Okay, okay. Let's start with this one…” Jimmy reads, “True or false. YN, are you planning to retire from acting really soon?”

“False, Jimmy! I’m hosting SNL this week for goodness’ sake,” you answered dramatically. The host laughed.

“She’s hosting SNL this week, people!” he repeated, looking at the camera. “How about this one? YN, true or false, did you move away from the country and lived in South Korea for a year?”

You grinned, “Partially true.”

“Explain yourself, YN.”

“Okay, the only thing that was right in that rumor is that I did move.” you teased everyone. “And no, I am not telling where.”

“Understood. Okay, let’s move to another one… oooh, this is the most controversial yet.” Jimmy laughed as he looked at you. “True or false, you took an unexpected hiatus because you got into a bad heartbreak.”

The audience’s reaction was all ‘ooh’ in a curious and a little worried way. Like they just saw someone sprinkling salt on someone’s wound. You took your time before answering,

“False,” you replied, shaking your head. “Definitely untrue. I think everyone just knows it when I’m in a relationship.”

“No, I don’t think we do, YN.” Jimmy rebutted, making the viewers laugh as they relate too. With years of everyone romantically connecting you and Jin, they just cannot tell if you two are romantically together or not. The host continued, “But are you not really dating anyone right now?”

“Oh, I’m not. I’m not dating anyone right now…” your voice trailed off as you make a side eye at the audience. They showed their disapproval with that by playfully booing, and you giggled.

He copied your tone and action as he asked, “But is there anyone you’ve been seeing currently or…”

“I don’t know, Jimmy…” you sighed, shaking your head. You acted disappointed in a very obvious way. “It’s really hard to find someone to date when you’re married. I mean, I think it’s a crime to go out with someone while–”

Big gasps. Everyone in the room– excluding you– gasped at the same time that it was audible. Their eyes were wide, a few have their hands on their chests, and someone screeched in surprise at what you said.

“Wait, what?” Jimmy asked as soon as he picked up what you just said.

“What?” you looked around the room, acting like you didn’t just say something of a big deal. “Oh, yeah. I’m married, you guys!”

Breaking the silence, the band played the drums as you showed off the wedding ring on your finger, hiding below the bell sleeve of your dress. Not just a wedding band, but a blinding engagement ring also sat on top of it.

“Oh my god! Congratulations!” Jimmy stood up from his swivel chair and walked up to you. You stood up and you shared a hug. He whispered, “Congratulations!”

“This is wonderful!” he added, as he holds both of your arms.

You laughed as you nodded, “I know!”

Everyone laughed while applauding at the fact you are now married. Jimmy hugged you again before walking back to his spot. You can feel your cheeks hurt from how long you have been smiling throughout the interview. But you love it. You love that you finally shared the news with the public.

“When did you get married?” the host asked.

“Two years ago! It was in 2021, Jimmy!” you replied happily and you heard another series of reactions in surprise.

“What?!” Jimmy’s lips gaped. “You were already married when you went here last time?”

You nodded with chuckles, “Yes. My husband and I chose to be pretty private about the whole process. We value enjoying the first couple of years of our marriage without the whole attention of everyone. But now, we decided to share it with you, guys finally!”

“This is really great, YN. Thank you so much for coming to the show.” Jimmy smiled and you can feel that he was genuine. Jimmy turned to the camera again, “YN. Ladies and gentlemen! We’ll be right back.”

The camera still caught you waving to everyone before it cuts to the commercial. With this kind of news, it was expected how everyone will react. Showbiz websites and accounts began writing their articles. Your fans were expressing their emotions and surprise.

Linked with you revealing your marital status is the identity of your husband. Everyone began taking their bets on who is your mystery spouse. Of course, topping the list is your three-time co-star and always rumored lover, JIN. One of the most memorable stories in the YNJIN fandom is when you two flew to South Korea with friends back in 2021.

Then, the theory about you having a secret partner was brought up. Ever since the lockdowns, some people have believed that you are possibly dating someone who is not in Hollywood. They claimed that someone is a successful, private, and young entrepreneur.

It’s no secret that there are people and solo fans who think that you and Jin are only doing the whole ‘dating or not dating’ bit for attention and to keep your names floating on social media and articles. It helped you two become household names in Hollywood, other than your works. You two were everywhere online with your fans making edits, sharing their thoughts, and posting every picture of you. Although accidentally, the general public was always aware of what was going on with you.

And what’s going on with your always rumored lover, you might be wondering.

Jin is still inactive on social media. His last online update was promoting the final episode of his limited series on HBO, which was a couple of months ago. But he had public appearances since the premiere. Two appearances to be specific.

Friday, almost two days after you announced your marriage and fans made their theories about your husband’s identity. Of course, the number of people who believed that Jin is your spouse was high. They were hoping to see Jin around New York since you will be doing SNL there for the weekend and they will take it as confirmation. But in lieu, he was seen walking out of a coffee shop in LA, where he was kinda hoarded by the press during the morning. He was alone as he tried to make his way to his car.

One of the camera guys cannot help but ask, “Did you know YN is married?”

“I did. She is one of my friends in the industry. Of course, I knew.” he answered simply, not bothering to look at the cameras. He just focused his eyes on the pathway to make sure he won’t stumble because of the press crowding around him.

“Any thoughts about it?” another one asked.

“I’m happy for her. She deserves happiness above all.”

His lips can be seen forming into a small smile as he replied. He finally got to the driver’s seat of his car. Before he hopped in, he answered one last question.

“Any hints about her husband?”

“Nice guy. A little childish sometimes but he makes good jokes.” he chuckled before driving away.

The video was uploaded by the paparazzi on the same day. Jin trended worldwide as fans expressed their thoughts about it.

And Saturday came. Since you were all over the news the whole week, your name was mentioned during the cold open. Hearing the people’s excitement as you prepare backstage made you breathe a little better. The intro began and the band began playing.

“Thirty seconds left, hon.” one of the staff members, who waits with you behind the door, whispered. “Good luck.”

You smiled at her, “Thank you. Donna.”

And as soon as you send that, you heard the announcer saying:

“Ladies and gentlemen, tonight’s host, YN!”

That’s your cue. Someone opened the door for you, you walked out and everyone sees you in a black blazer mini dress and strappy pumps. Standing in the middle of the stage, you cannot really see the audience properly because of the light pointed at you. Still, you put on a smile and tried to shake off the twisting feeling in your stomach. You jived to the melody and paused when it stopped. The audience was clapping the whole time.

“Thank you! Thank you very much. I am so happy to be finally here on the SNL stage for the very first time!” you began and they cheered once again. “And it’s great to be here, in front of everyone again, after ghosting y’all for almost two years!” waves of laughter erupt. “ Now, some of you may be heard of me from my first movie when I was 9, Little Miss Sunshine–” people cheered. “Or my most recent film, From The Other Side. Or maybe you just heard a piece of certain news about me…” you winked.

“So in case you’re living under a rock, three days ago, I surprised everyone by announcing that I got married–” the audience erupted with claps and cheers. “–last 2021 to an actual person that nobody knows about.” you rolled your eyes, making everyone laugh.

“And every cast member here has been asking me this past few days: how did you got married? Where did you get married? Who’s the lucky guy? And you know what, let me just go give him a call–”

The audience screamed in excitement. You tapped on your dress’s pockets, searching for your phone. SNL cast member Kenan Thompson got on stage, handing you your phone.

“Hey, YN. You left your phone in the makeup chair.”

“Oh, thanks, Kenan.”

“And since I was the one who found it… can you please tell me who is your husband?” he said it in an excited kid way that made everyone cackle.

You tsked before shaking your head, “Oh, Keenan–”

A series of knocks were heard. A familiar tune from your past suspense movie played in the background. The audience laughed as you and Keenan looked at each other with wide eyes. You slipped your phone into your pocket and began acting alert like a spy.

“Does someone really knocks on that door?” you asked in the serious tone of your old character.

He shrugged his shoulders, “I don’t know. You were the last one who went from there.”

The audience laughed and another knock was heard.

“Lemme go check on that.” Kenan was about to walk to the door but you stopped him.

“What if it’s The Creator?” you asked, referencing the antagonist.

“Who the hell is that? The only creator here is Lorne Michaels.” Kenan quipped, receiving laughs from everyone, before walking to the door.

You waited on the stage and the camera focused on Kenan, who peeked through the door instead of opening it directly. He was teasing. Then, he looked back to you, to the camera, and back to whoever was on the other side of the door. He was grinning. Everyone was wondering what was going on. It was just pure silence. And as he walked down the small set of steps, he spoke:

“Oh, YN! Someone is looking for you!”

You raised an eyebrow, “Who is it–”

Then suddenly the door just opens, showing a man in a dark casual suit and a bouquet of white tulips in his hands. He uttered,

“Hi, I’m actually looking for my wife–”

Jin was cut off by screams from the audience. He bit his inner cheek to stop himself from smiling. But everyone can notice the corner of his lips forming into a smile. In live shows like this, the actor would usually wait for the intense audience response to die down for a few seconds. But the reactions are not getting smaller, so Jin resumed.

“She told me she’s going here tonight.”

“Oh, I’m here! I’m here! I’m the wife!”

You raised your hand with a proud grin on your face and Jin had to walk down with a bouquet in his hand. The audience laughed as the band plays a wedding march. Your husband laughs too. When you two stood next to each other in the middle of the stage, Keenan introduced you two:

“Everyone, please welcome, for the first time ever as a married couple, YN and Jin!”

The audience clapped, cheered, and somebody even whistled. He softly placed his hand on the small of your back before you turned to him. Your hand caresses his cheek as you two lean closer to each other. For the first time ever, you and Jin shared a kiss in front of the public. Everyone cheered louder. Pulling away, you two smiled slowly as you gazed into each other’s eyes. You noticed the slight tint of red growing on his cheeks and ears. It reminded you of so many moments in your relationship. It was like you got lost in the moment for a second before you turn to the camera.

“We got a great show tonight! Stick around. NIKI is here! We’ll be right back!”

The camera pans away as you wrapped your arms around Jin’s neck, pulling him in for a kiss again, while he holds your waist.

You did a total of eight skits, two of which were pretaped. Your husband made another appearance during the show. He played a character with Michael Che, Colin Jost, and Mikey Day during the Weekend Update segment, playing as paparazzi who never did their job right. Jin had a line that was so ironic, it made the audience laugh and react from their seats.

“Yeah, last week, I heard that very beautiful actress got married…”

Michael asked, in character, amidst the giggles, “Who? What’s her name?”

“I think he’s talking about Scarlett Johansson.” Mikey chimed in, making Colin Jost smile, who replies, “No, I don’t think he’s not.”

“Oh, yeah. I forgot she already married that comedy guy three years ago.” Mikey replied, making Jost shake his head as he blush.

Jin finally answered, “It’s YN! You know, the one who posts cat pics all over the internet, won the BAFTA Best Actress this year, has been doing movies since she was nine, wrote songs with–”

“Okay, okay, Frank. I think everyone already knows who YN is.” Mikey cuts him off, making everyone laugh. “Why are you bringing her up by the way? Do you got any snaps from her wedding?”

“Ah, yes. I do!” Jin replied almost immediately as he acts clicking on his camera. The audience squealed, elated to catch a glimpse of whatever he was going to share. The TV screens in the studio glitched, causing confusion to the viewers. “Oh, I think my camera’s broken.”

“Let me see.” Mikey, in character, acted desperate as he reached for the camera. He checked and clicked on it before turning to Jin, “The memory card is not here, man!”

The bit ended with them arguing. NIKI performed two songs for the night. For the closing of the show, you had a graphic shirt on with pants.

“Thank you so much to NIKI!” you began, turning to the singer beside you. You clapped along with the audience. “To Lorne, to the amazing cast and studio crew…. And to my lovely husband,” everyone, including the cast members, cooed. You looked back at him who was standing in line with the cast members. He smiled as he saw your eyes sparkling with joy. You looked back to the front.

“Thank you so much, everyone!”

After the show, you and Jin were photographed together, walking hand in hand, as you enter the afterparty venue. As usual, you were wearing something Versace. You stun everyone with a light-reflecting metallic sparkly mini dress. It literally reflects with the flashes of the cameras pointed at you and your husband. You matched it with silver strappy heels and a small metallic Prada tote bag.

“Congrats, YN!”

You stopped in your tracks and turned your head when you heard that voice. Turning around, you spotted Greg in line with other paparazzi.

“Thanks, Greg!” you winked and Jin also waves at him.

You also posted a photo a day after.

YN and JIN are married *Apparently For Almost Two Years Now*

It’s been a busy week for the whole YNJIN fandom this week!

Just last week’s Saturday, it was announced that YN will be hosting the second show for SNL’s season 49. More than a year after her last public appearance and hiatus. It was later followed by the actress-songwriter appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in which she talked about her BAFTA win and cleverly announced her marriage. Although she didn’t disclose who’s the lucky guy, happiness was evident on her face as she replied to Jimmy’s questions. The fans were taken in surprise by the news, showering her with lovely congratulatory messages.

And just tonight, during her monologue as the show’s host, YN finally revealed who it was. Surprise, surprise! Joining her on the SNL stage is her longtime rumored lover, JIN. The ‘Still Alive’ actor showed up on stage unexpectedly, causing a loud reaction from the live viewers. SNL cast member Kenan Thompson, who was also in the bit for YN’s monologue, officially introduced the two as husband and wife. The couple shared a liplock to seal the news.

According to the shared statement of the A-lister couple’s publicists, YN and JIN were wed in an intimate ceremony two years ago, last November 2021, in their shared residence in Massachusetts.

It was unclear where or when YN and JIN got engaged or began dating. But all we know was the two initially met for the production of their first movie, Cornelia Street, back in 2016. It was a hit, mainly due to the lead actors’ powerful chemistry, and birthed many supporters for the duo. But the rumors about their relationship began in 2018 when the two were seen hanging out often.

The two never confirmed anything and trolled everyone about it. Even reaching the point where they became Instagram official. YNJIN even made a joke about buzzes about them breaking up when they posted a clip about it before. The two got crazier rumors over the years: living together, cheating (and breaking up again), and the actress writing love songs based on her relationship with JIN.

YN, 28, has previously dated other known names in the industry such as Jordan Fisher, Kim Taehyung, and Niall Horan. Meanwhile, JIN, 31, was more private with his past relationships. But he was formerly linked to model Lee Sung Kyung and briefly to Selena Gomez. The wedded A-listers have worked together in a total of three films: Cornelia Street, Maybe Yes Maybe No, and Lonely People.

Two days, after you publicized your marriage, it was Jin’s birthday. As to keep up with the tradition, you posted a simple greeting on Instagram. You literally just greeted them but you added some photos.

The first pic was taken during your trip together months before the reveal.

The second image is your hand, showing off the engagement ring, while Jin can be seen in the background grinning.

Then, on the third slide, a polaroid picture of you and Jin. It was taken through a selfie. You were grinning as Jin plants a smooch on your cheek. Unbeknownst to everyone, it was taken during your first wedding back in November 2021, in your then-newly bought home in Massachusetts.

Aziraphale my love

Please enjoy my WHOLE ASS OPINION AND META ANALYSIS.

I support Petty Bitch Aziraphale for season 3!! The angels have been talking down to him from the very beginning and mocking him. Every single person in his life has insulted his intelligence (yes, Crowley has done so several times). I want to see him GO OFF!!! (I posted this part as a tweet but Twitter doesn't give me enough room to write it all in one big place like Tumblr).

Like I am ready to GO THE FUCK OFF myself!

All of Heaven has been emotionally, verbally and physically abusive to Aziraphale since the very beginning. They never listen to him, and the only one he ever really wants to talk to anyway is God, but she is nowhere to be found.

Gabriel came to Aziraphale because he experienced something that Aziraphale is very familiar with. He couldn't remember why he was going to Aziraphale, but hiding away his memory in a fly ended up being just as much for Aziraphale's protection as his own. It ended up being the only way he could actually explain to Aziraphale and Crowley what was really going on.

Aziraphale was there to witness Gabriel's open expression of love for a demon and it lit a fire in his heart. He and Crowley could be together.

Aziraphale wanted Crowley to be by his side in Heaven so he could stand in front of all the angels and tell them how much he loves Crowley so they can see that there is more to life than death for humans.

Aziraphale thought taking Crowley with him meant he could continue to protect Crowley from ever going back to Hell. It's not like he's forgotten how Crowley was acting after being dragged down into Hell for saving the life of a human and persuading her to be not just pretend-y good but actually good. Aziraphale giving her the money was the temptation to always be a good person. They saved her soul together, Crowley with the angelic act, and Aziraphale's act was the temptation. They were so used to doing each other's jobs by this point that they switched roles in that scene.

Despite their last fight, Crowley came back and saved him from the Nazis in the church, and Aziraphale had that moment of realization. "Oh my God, I'm in love with my demon." Crowley wasn't interested in the holy water when he saved Aziraphale, and he saved Aziraphale's books. They also killed three Nazis in the process, which is the most romantic part of it all. The Nazis were a source of evil for Hell, so you know Hell told him to keep an eye on the Nazis. Hell was full of Nazis! We saw Furfur complain about processing 52 men called Otto. It's not normal for that to happen in Hell, and it's really starting to piss Furfur off!!

Aziraphale and Crowley working together in 1941 is the first time we see someone in Hell say WE ARE FULL GO AWAY. Hell turned some of the worst of the worst against humanity by turning them into flesh-eating zombies. "The dead shall rise from their graves and roam the Earth once more." Furfur was the first one to set Hell's prisoners free, and in true demon style, his plan backfired against him, but he'd already set the ball rolling on the Second Coming.

The man who owned the magic shop did not want to sell the Bullet Catch to Aziraphale because he could tell right away that Aziraphale was in desperate need of help as he'd just knocked down half the things on the front counter and he would absolutely die just like that Lovely Chinese Fellow (and that seems like a pretty relevant clue). The shopkeeper only sold it to Aziraphale after Crowley handed him money from Aziraphale's wallet (Aziraphale didn't even try to stop him) and used it to tempt the shopkeeper into going against his instincts.

And in true demon fashion, that immediately backfired because it was only then did he realize Aziraphale was going to need a partner, and he was the only one who could do it. I don't think either of them were thinking about what the trick actually entailed. Aziraphale just saw a gun and was like LET'S DO THIS!

They survived the Bullet Catch in a very human way. They couldn't perform miracles and had very human reactions to the situation, but Aziraphale trusted Crowley with that gun pointed at his head.

And when Aziraphale used a human magic trick to save Crowley from being taken back to Hell by Furfur, he proved that he was willing to go to great lengths to keep Crowley safe even though Crowley was a demon.

This entire time he has been trying to give Crowley a place to call home. He painted the walls of the bookshop yellow because they are the same color as Crowley's eyes, which are also the least human thing about him. He has written about him in his journals and he's openly affectionate with Crowley. He always gives Crowley gentle touches and praises him. He loves Crowley and he's showing him in the most human way he knows how.

And when Crowley is losing Aziraphale, he shows Aziraphale his love in the most human way he can think of.

Heaven and Hell have invaded Whickber Street and put the lives of all the humans at risk. The problem is worse than he thought, and he's going back to try and fix it so that Heaven will actually try to be good for once. Not just pretend-y good, but properly good. Everyone is in danger, and I think when the Metatron mentions the Second Coming, Aziraphale completes the puzzle he's been trying to put together since hearing Jim singing a human song. It makes him understand what Gabriel was running away from, and he's the one who gave Gabriel the freedom to run away with Beelzebub.

And the Metatron is not pleased. Aziraphale introduced free will to demons and angels just as Crowley had introduced free will to humanity.

Aziraphale wants to help spread the idea of love and free will around Heaven so it can be better. He's doing something he believes is right with all his heart. He's been on Earth for more than 6,000 years. He remembers the lessons he learned. He knows shades of grey exist and he wants to use this to make Heaven a better place.

But the other archangels have never respected him, and now he's the Supreme Archangel. He has a chance to make things better, and he has done Crowley's job before. He wants to talk to God. He wants to know what it is she wants. He's tired of hearing everyone else speak for God when no one has spoken to God in thousands of years.

And when he told Crowley his idea, Crowley became angry with him and called him an idiot. What he was saying was not what Crowley was hearing because Crowley was trying to confess his love while Aziraphale was trying to tell Crowley his plan to save everyone.

He only wanted to go back to Heaven when he believed he would be able to take Crowley with him, and he thought reinstating Crowley as an angel was the safest way to keep him from ever having to return to Hell.

None of Aziraphale's actions were malicious. None of his actions were to hurt Crowley. He didn't realize how bad his words sounded because he was saying something completely different than what Crowley was hearing.

All of it was a big misunderstanding. If Aziraphale had not taken the coffee from the Metatron, he would have been choosing death. The Metatron is punishing him for going against Heaven by forcing him to go back. Aziraphale only believed it was a choice when he was told he could bring back Crowley.

Aziraphale had the illusion of choice. He knew the Metatron wasn't taking no for an answer, and when Crowley rejected his offer, he still had to go back anyway. When he looked back at Crowley before stepping on that elevator, he knew he was breaking Crowley's heart by not going back to him, but he had no choice. It broke his heart too.

So now he's stuck in Heaven after having the worst fight with Crowley. He probably feels like no one believes in him. Crowley had called him an idiot and then Crowley kissed him. He's confused because he doesn't understand why Crowley is upset with him, but he's probably tired of everyone underestimating him.

Let Aziraphale be done with this shit. Let him be petty about it. He's not holding back anymore. I want him to push back just as hard and stand up for himself. He has earned the right.

I've been hearing it from lot of Jkkrs. But are you sure 😭 he was living with JM. Yes we have few similar car moments but other than that ? There is no info

Okay, it has been a very eventful day. But I'll tackle one Jikook ask for the road coz I got 1AM on my end.

Anon, Jikookers have something called common sense. Thats how we came to the conclusion that Jikook were living together and even though it might just be occasionally rn for their safety, I will be using present tense.

When members first moved out, Jimin was the only one who purchased a dilapidated house and anyone could tell he sure as hell wasn't living there. So all 6 others were accounted for except him. So where was he living? Then him and JK were sharing cars all the time. For years. Not "a few moments". And when Hopekook became neighbours, we saw Jhope, Jimin and JK share cars a few times. Again, super sus. Why was it always Jikook at the crime scene?

Anyway, let's look at a few moments in no particular order.

Exhibit a) Spotted outside JK's apartment multiple times.

Exhibit b) Namkook on that one live and RM talked about the cafe infront of their house.

Why is he using our and why is JK nodding in agreement? Last I checked Minimoni are the ones who live in 9/1 not JK.

Moving on

Exhibit c) JK says he will make pizza while looking straight at Jimin which is what prompted Jimin to think he was talking about their home.

But then JK clarified that no, he meant at work.

Exhibit d)

When they go home, JK will let Jimin rest. Right. Not sus at all.

Exhibit e) I feel like this sentence went over people's heads.

Jimin doesn't wake up and go look for Jungkook. He wakes up and the first thing he sees, is JK. Thats literally everything right there. Honestly. But sure, I got more.

Exhibit f) My memory is hazy on the context. But RM asked JK why he had watched something. I don't remember what. But JK replied that he watched it because he was at home with him. Him in this case being Jimin.

Exhibit g) Jimin was project manager for BE. So as they were winding up RM told everyone to send their shit to Jimin once they were done.

This part conveniently doesn't get translated but Karmy were kind enough to let us know, when JK taps Jimin's thigh he says; I'll just show it to you.

To recap, anon. Jimin will be at home so everyone else needs to send him their work but JK doesn't need to because he can just show it to him. Because he will already be there with him.

Exhibit h) A favourite of mine. So basically their favorite chef comes over for this episode and brings with him 7 knives including for Suga in absentia. So just so we understand, 7 members, 7 knives.

Basically, members are trying to one up each other and JK is like "we got 2 knives so we win" 👀 Are y'all getting that? Every member left with 1 knife each, but the Park Jeons are way ahead of them because they have 2 knives. Why is JK counting Jimin's knife??

(Side bar: Jimin's face is everything. He knows bae is slipping but he can't do anything without calling attention to it 😂😂)

Exhibit i) Last one since I'm out of image space. This one came from our president. Jimin tells us he hangs about at home naked and Jhope added that JK is usually in charge of music. Jimin's face was e👏🏾very👏🏾thing!👏🏾

Supernatural Season One

The first time I watched Supernatural was as a ten-year-old, sitting on the floor of the living room as my mom (who was the one who put the show on) braided my hair. I don’t remember anything from the episode except for a scene of Sam looking out of the car and Jessica, in a white dress, standing ominously. (Season 1, Episode 5: “Bloody Mary”) Something about that scene hooked me and ever since then, Supernatural has held a special place for me.

Eight years after this moment, as I am getting ready to leave high school and move across the country for university, I get an edit of season 1 that reminds me why I loved this show in the first place. I am desperate for anything that reminds me of my childhood. Something that proves to me that the passing of time can be paused and that it's not inevitable. I hold on to this hope with my claws out, hoping I would have remains of it underneath my nails when all this is over.

This past week I finished the first season of Supernatural and am just filled with so many emotions that sometimes I need to pause and go out for a walk. So hopefully without any spoilers (if you in the wonderful year of our lord, 2024, have not yet watched supernatural, I don’t know what to tell you. You missed out on a cultural reset that defined an era. The fostered community was so strong that it’s still the most popular fandom on Tumblr and AO3) I give you my thoughts, reviews and rants about season one of Supernatural.

I think the entire aesthetic and attention to detail in season one is so beautiful. My personal favourites are the accessories that Dean Winchester has. I love the ring and I love the necklace and the leather jacket? Oh my god. Revolutionary. Rewatching this show is so nostalgic. The entire show is like coming home, especially for me. It gives you insight into the late 2000s fashion and technology.

I also think this is Dean’s best season at least looks-wise. The second episode (Season 1, Episode 2: “Wendigo”) is literally the hottest he has ever looked. The entire scene where he flirts with the girl while having a bandage on his neck? I think about that every day.

My favourite episode from this season has to be Episode 13: “Route 666”. Cassie Robinson is a fascinating character that I wish had a bigger part throughout the show. Although I must admit that this episode is a personal favourite because I just enjoy watching Dean Winchester be hopelessly in love. There are several other great episodes and I genuinely believe that this is one of Supernatural’s best seasons.

One thing that’s immediately super apparent is the target audience of the show. It's so obvious that this show is targeted towards manly men who love beer, gun, car and woman. It does objectify women a bit but for 2005-2006 it's alright.

I don’t really have anything negative to say about this season like I said it’s one of the best.

Final rating: 10/10 (sorry guys I’ll always love the early seasons of Supernatural)

Analysis time! :D

What better way to make another thesis for certain parts of the last episode?

This post, I'll be talking about how strong the Power Spheres could take over its owner's mind.

As I ever mentioned it before. Even though comic book already covered the story of season 2. Again, we still need to look at the TV ver. Because whatever happens, TV shows is still the roots of Boboiboy's franchise. Whether you like it or not.

See, of all every Power Spheres that had been introduced, only Kokotaim gang were not yet been "confirmed" what was their Power Spheres look like. Sure, the only elemental bot that had been shown were Hang Kasa's Crystal Bot and Retak'ka's Light Bot, but that's it.

Monsta already established two rules about the Power Sphere:

Every Power Spheres have their mind and soul. They could talk, think and feel like a living being.

Whatever happens, their contact with their first owner emended to their traits and it impacted to their next owner as well.

My first suspicion obviously came from what Gopal had said before in one of anon ask box about the first debut of Taufan and Hali in OG series.

"In the past, Boboiboy Lightning turn into Thunderstorm because he felt extremely angry. Boboiboy Wind turn into Cyclone also because of felling an absolute joy."

Another interesting aspect is from Mechamato movie. Specifically when Amato in Mecha suit mode was being locked to a flashback scene triggered by Mecha Bot uncontrollable sense of fear.

From this point, I think you can guess what I would want to go from here.

As the tweet mentioned. It is interesting to note the similarities between the two. Whenever the Power Spheres' soul take over the owner's body more deeper, their eyes will glow and the scars spreads to their skin.

And by that logic, the Power Spheres consume much more energy than before. Thus the heavy drained out both mentally and physically from their owners.

Amato knew this and to fix the same issue, he convinced Mecha Bot during their final battle against General Grakakus in the same movie.

It goes back to one of my ted talks about this topic and a highlight some particular line from Kuputeri.

One of my favorite Boboiboy account also solidified his statement again about Oboi's being controlled by Power Sphere or in this case, elemental forms.

In my opinion what Oboi went through was somehow worse than any other Power Sphere wielder out there.

Not only he wields seven strongest powers in the galaxy but also might be the most unconstrained one to control them. Then again he still not reach his age of consent, but he already hold big responsibility to become the hero and most wanted target in the galaxy.

Think about it, even their original owners were a bit struggled to learn their power. Hang Kasa travel planets to planet only for learning his power with other elemental masters, Kuputeri needs to harness for at least hundreds years until she could tame Beliung/Tempest's, A small crack Ki'rana's body armor could made her went berserk due to the immense power of the Lightning bot.

In common sense, every wielder still has their Power Spheres as their own companion while Oboi hasn't. What Boboiboy only has to contain that grandiose powers? a watch. A watch that went three times modification simply because of the powers that was too strong to keep and use all at once. Not to mention how frequent Oboi uses split and now with fusion techniques is also add to the list.

He barely managed to ease his mind when transform to Beliung, Ice and Blaze worsen Baraju's conflicts with their near 3rd tier transformation, and he was lucky to be saved by 30 minutes Oakuat Juice so he could keep Rimba under his watch.

Now that we come so far, the questions still remains missing:

With how bad the elementals took over Oboi, will it possible they are gonna be the next villain for him in the future?

Does Amato knows about Boboiboy's Elementals powers? Does he also know Ochobot past before sending it to him?

Did the rest of elementals Power Spheres already destroyed after the first Retak'ka's raid or not?

I guess maybe Mechamato series might be the answer of Ochobot and all elementals Power Spheres in the past. Again we still have no clue what happened to him during the season 2 events.

And also this line up post before Monsta split the title for Dwifusion to "Gentar" and "Baraju"—

—announced the third season of Galaxy series after BM3 Gur'latan(quite close too after the movie you know?) . My only hope is that it cover the elenmentals and also other origins of Yaya, Ying, Gopal, and Fang Power Sphere.

Where were they came from? Were their Power Spheres also get destroyed like all elementals did? Are their owners still alive or not?

Yeah, David Breen had to write a tweet when the fan translated version of the Mandarin version of LMK came out. People were freaking out about Wukong being a deadbeat dad and debating on whether it was a d*ck move or Wukong recognizing that he had sh*t mental health and was not in the proper head space to take care of baby MK.

Also that memory? That was a vision MK had in Episode 3. He was helping Tripitaka with magic circle stuff, the vision broke in and interrupted the ritual, and all hell broke loose. It isn't an actual flashback to his childhood.

Thank you to the person who shared the screenshot in my notes! You're a real one. I'll put it here for easy reference:

First, I wanted to clear up that I didn't mean my questions in a "this is why it can't be true" way—cause it is true—but in a "these are the questions I have!" sort of way. I think that's how one person interpreted it and I'm like OH NO. MY QUESTIONS MEAN I'M INTRIGUED/WANT TO KNOW MORE I SWEAR.

Next, the visions in 4x03, 4x04, and 4x05 are different than what I think is a memory:

(4x03 The Great Tang Man) (Sending the curse one because like. what the fuck. what the fuck!)

(4x04 Pig Napped)

(4x05 Court of the Yellow Robbed Demon)

These are the visions of Sun Wukong trying to find MK in the scroll. They're different from what Subodhi presses MK to remember ("Tell me of your childhood, your parents." "You do not remember?" "And what else?"):

Every vision MK has includes the same scenes, except this one. That's why I think it's a memory; that and the way it's framed, with MK closing his eyes in focus. The other visions from 4x03, 4x04, and 4x05 all are unprompted, being forced upon MK. Why make this last "vision" so different from the others? Why show Guan Yin (?) making the stone monkey? That would be because it's a memory—be it MK's, something from the scroll, or a mix of both.

Monkey King not being MK's dad doesn't equate to him not being involved—MK being born from the stone means that he doesn't have any biological parents, it's a weird grey area. I also just can't imagine that Guan Yin (if it was her) made MK on top of flower fruit mountain and that Monkey King was none the wiser (edit: lol it was NOT on top of flower fruit mountain. Anyways, carry on!). I also don't know what other reason Sun Wukong would choose MK to be his "successor".

"Monkey King was ripping his way through memories looking for MK, but kept coming back to the stone. He doesn't know why."

I'll be honest, "he doesn't know why" is SUPER vague (which is good, can't have a writer spoiling the whole show on twitter lol). So, Monkey King doesn't know why he kept going back to the stone...what does that mean exactly? It's vague and up in the air, and it's phrased in such a specific way that I can't help but feel like Breen is being purposely misleading.

Either way, I don't really see the problem with Sun Wukong being a dead beat dad. Like he's not MK's dad, but if he were I don't understand what the issue with that is. Sun Wukong is an interesting character, he means well but he can also hurt others through the distance he builds around himself. In 3x05 Amnesia Rules he literally says "Can you imagine what I would be like if I didn't have friend's? I'd probably turn into a manipulative jerk!" Well, currently all of his past friend's are dead and he is a manipulative jerk. And I love him.

Sun Wukong is nuanced. He doesn't make the right choice all the time. The way he treated the main gang in s3 was fucking shitty ("how could you lead us into this fight without a real plan!?"). But he also doesn't intend to hurt people. He always has his own reasons. And, when he finally realizes the pain he's caused, he tries to make amends and put himself on the line. People "freaking out" about Wukong being a "dick" (which he kinda has been this whole time, he's a little shit and I love him) just reeks of purity culture.

AND THE FUNNY THING IS, WUKONG SPEAKS DIRECTLY AGAINST THAT:

“Point is, mistakes happen, but so long as you leave the world in better shape than you found it, then it’s all good. Right?” (4x01 Familiar Tales)

Wukong makes so many mistakes all the time. I don't know why in this instance it would be one step too far.

There's also just so much we don't know. We don't really know anything about MK's origins, or why he was created, or who created him, or what everyone knows/doesn't know. But I will say, whatever it is I'm excited for it!

The Apprentice Review

OH GOOD ROAN! AN EXCUSE FOR YOU TO GET POLITICAL. Good lord, can't you go a single review without pushing an agenda on your audience? Go on. Tell us how much you think Trump is destroying America! Tell us about how he's a crook, how he lost both elections he ran in, how he sent a mob to go kill his first vice president! I know you have a grudge against THE GREATEST PRESIDENT EVER! ...Actually Buggnutz. I'm not going to do any of that. I'm just gonna share a Tweet the big man himself made about the movie.

TL;DR, if you didn't laugh at least 3 times reading that, you will not like this movie.

What's The Movie About?

Donald Trump and, more specifically, his relationship with Roy Cohn as he rises... I don't want to say to the top, I guess he rises in prominence in the public eye.

What I Like.

God this movie is really damn good. The cinematography is so much fun. It's a purposeful old-school style, complete with film grain and I really like the hand style. It feels almost like an invisible man following Trump around filming all his private conversations and interactions. They do a really good job replicating old interviews the Donald did in the 70s and 80s, and it melds into the movie to make this time capsule of New York in the past. The amount of sleaze and corruption that penetrates the scenes is honestly delightful. And this is gonna sound weird, but I feel like the movie is actually balance its depiction of Donald. I mean, yeah, they come out on the side of him being a corrupt bastard driven by his ego, but the movie takes the time to show us Trump's descent. You understand why he acts the way he does. You see the change from pathetic wannabe to egotistical blowhard. The movie isn't afraid to show a more respectable side to Donald though. It's a point that they establish Trumps distaste for alcohol and how he doesn't drink. The scene where Donald finds out about his brother's death is so fascinating. It seems almost impossible to make a character in mourning unlikable, but this movie pulls it off. The acting is great. There is so much subtle moments, looks, turns of phrases that covey the storytelling. Sebastian Stan is pitch perfect for early Trump, and even though he doesn't really look the part for late stage Trump, his mannerisms and speech pattern are honestly the best imitation of El Presidente I've ever seen. Jeremy Strong is great as well, and shout out to the guy playing Fred Trump. That guy looks EXACTLY like him. I like the story. I like that it's not afraid to get weird and dark at places. I guess if I'm to be "fair and balanced" I should admit that I don't know if the events of this movie are true. But they feel REALLY TRUE. (For the most part, see down below.) Maybe I'm biased, but c'mon. You telling me Eric's consummation was consensual. What the fuck Roan? Watch the movie, you'll get what I'm saying. And the ending. Holy shit. The ending is powerful. I'm obviously not going to give it away, but the subtle acting, everyone's behaviors, the dichotomy of imagery and events. I was honestly shaken. It was like watching Cthulhu rise from the Pacific Ocean, a terrible beast that hinting at and built up through out the entire story finally revealing itself, reaching down crush you.

What I Didn't Like.

I can't really fault the movie for this, but it's kinda hard to watch something where every main character is a horrific asshole. It wears you down, not being able to root for anyone. And there's like two scenes that definitely did not happen. One is the scene where a guy comes to talk about Trump running for office in the 80s. Like sure. Reagan TOTALLY had Make America Great Again as one of his slogans that he dropped. And when Trump Tower opens, Fred Trump tells Donald that he did a good job. I think everyone know that didn't fucking happen.

Final Summation.

Of course you liked it you TRAITOR TO AMERICA!

...I legitimately hate you. Yeah I know.

I wonder what it says about a person* when their COMFORT ‘Go-To-When-Feeling-Shitty’ show is a fucking post-apocalyptic drama series that rips your heart out every fucking week and leaves you in shambles and sobbing on the floor for five (six in 24 hours) weeks straight! (Probably a field day for therapists!)

I did NOT expect this. NOT ONE FUCKING BIT!

I mean, I very often trust my Twitter (and Tumblr) when it comes to new stuff, new shows, new films. And I very often check them out - not always when they come out, but often enough (especially when MY shows are on hiatus don’t have an airdate yet).

And the hype was/is HUGE. I do understand that. Taking something that’s so beloved is always tough to get right. So people will love it WHEN they do.

So yeah, I did see the promos and the tweets and since it’s one of the very few shows that are on SKY here at the same time as in the US, I was like, why the hell not.

Monday’s are my day off, so I didn’t think much when I hit ‘play’ on the first episode of The Last Of Us on it’s first day!!!

I knew shit about it, NEVER played the game, and never heard about it before the show started to gain buzz.

Watched the first episode and was like ‘okay, yeah, looks okay enough, maybe a TAD too close to home these days, but hey, we made it more or less so lets see how they fare’

Watched the second one. Did a rewatch of the first one to better understand it. Impressed with how it was made, and I knew I would be sticking with it - if only because it was something to watch on Monday mornings/noons.

And then the third episode came out.

OH BOY!!

I had an INKLING, maybe like wishful thinking when Bill fished Frank out of the hole. But I’m also too traumatized by too many shows to have actual HOPE of a queer episode. I full on expected the usual: some looks, some touches, some ‘im not queer’ excuses when the person is clearly interested/horny.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! (And again, this all would give a therapist a fucking FIELD DAY with everyone!)

That was the most beautifully written/executed episode since ‘You wear fine things well’!!! I’ve lost count of the rewatches, and I will root for every fucking award show that episode will be nominated for (yes, the rest deserves some love as well but THIS ONE IS THE FUCKING PINNACLE OF EPISODES!)

After that I started listening to the podcasts going with the show. (I NEVER do that!)

E4 came out and I fell a little more in love with Ellie and Joel - I can’t even say what it was: his NEED to protect her, her softening up beside him…

I just knew it was soo different from what I expected from a show/pairing like that. Easier, maybe? Them opening up (sort of) to each other without all the usual tropes of prying it from their cold hearts and rigid souls?

And then Joel laughs. He tries soo very hard not to, but he can’t help himself. (Sidenote: I was curious as to how they translated that particular pun into German - they didn’t. They used a different one that (naturally) wasn’t as funny as the original one).

It’s dark, it’s scary, it’s not safe. And he lies there in the dark, giggling with all he has about a stupid PUN. Oh my heart (Hell, I'm grinning TYPING this, just thinking about it so yeah…)

Safe to say: I was HOOKED!

(also: EYE CRINKLES. That man has laughed A LOT in his life, and it shows. I leave it up to you whether i mean Joel or Pedro!)

And then there was the sniper scene in E5!!!

ARGH!!! I don’t even know why, but I fucking LOVE that scene soooo freaking much!!!

Ellie, among all those Infected, KNOWING that Joel will have her back after only knowing him for a few days (?).

Joel, watching her like a hawk, not wasting ammunition and only taking out anyone that comes too close to HER!

Her BLIND trust that he watches over her and takes care of her.

His laser focus on HER, not caring what happens to him, the deep NEED to protect her.

GUH!!! If I could give out awards for spectacular SCENES, this 10, 15 minutes would get ALL THE FUCKING AWARDS!!!

So yeah. Now Im sitting here, on this grey, wet Sunday morning, about 14 hours away from episode 6, eagerly awaiting to get my heart ripped out AGAIN, typing away the things I feel about a fucking VIDEO GAME ADAPTATION SHOW!!!

*shakes head at self*

(That happens when MY shows go on hiatus - I fall in love with all the GREAT NEW SHIT that HBO puts out! Soo soo happy that they already got a second season so no need to worry about that! Still miffed that OFMD had to wait and worry for soo long. Ah well.)

And since it’s me, and I don’t do shit by halves, I'm also falling in love with the cast.

Yes, mainly with Pedro because DUH. Have you seen the man’s interviews? His SNL epicness? THAT SMILE??!?! I dare you NOT get all giggly and gooey when he starts cackling out of the blue about his own silly jokes! And I'm not even trying to resist, it's too damn late for that anyways! He's too fucking charming, and these days anything that brightens my days is very welcome!

The love and adoration he has for Bella is adorable. Their chemistry is insane. She’s soo young and yet so mature, and he treats her like an equal which is amazing.

And I can't wait to watch ALL THE INTERVIEWS running up to the show. I’ve got lots of catching up to do.

(I’ve also listened to a few podcasts already, and DAMN, he’s another DAMN GOOD EGG. Humble and funny, VERY down do Earth despite the (quiet) success he’s been having for YEARS now! I’ve been making a list with all the things I need to watch… and I’ve seen him in soo many things already. Just never really noticed. *sighs heavily*

(Im also slightly [read: HORRIBLY SO] terrified because once you get into the show, you also get spoilers from the game -it’s unavoidable- and even though i do NOT know for sure (and won’t actively look for it) I fear for his fate. I KNOW they deviated before with Bill and Frank, and they may do it again with others, so I still have hopes, but the bits I’ve seen… well.

And i will prepare myself for the worst - just in case. Not that it’ll help much but I can lie to myself for as long as necessary.)

Introduction

Hello! Welcome to Stories of Animation! A place where you will learn stories that involve the animation industry whether it's historical or personal, this place is for any animation fan out there that's interested in a bit of history. I am your host for this blog, Teresa (they/them) and I'm a self certified artist that is currently studying animation. So chill back, relax and enjoy the vlog.

So... Why animation?

Why did I choose to study animation? A question probably non of you asked but I will tell you anyways ahem: So a long long time ago (not really it was 2007) I was a little child that spend way too much time watching a movie and that movie that I watched for way too long was 101 Dalmatians. I am pretty sure that it was the first animated movie I watched ever and to this day is my favorite movie of all time. I don't remember much of that time (cause I was a baby, quite literally) but I do remember that I loved that movie so much that I begged my mother for over a decade to get a Dalmatian, I would dress as Cruela for 3 years straight and got sad when that outfit didn't fit me anymore and would constantly draw the dogs of the movie. I would definitely consider this the earliest inspiration I had as a child, it's what inspired me to draw and it's a film that will always have a special place in my heart.

So flash forward to the year 2020, the year where people got locked inside their house and stopped seeing the sunlight for over two years. Like many people, one of the ways I spend most of my time in this era was watching TV shows, mostly animated shows because I am not a fan of reality tv, but of all the shows I watched there is one show that out stood from everything else, the owl house.

This show single handedly changed my life. I started watching this show in the hiatus between season 1 and season 2 because of a tweet that showed up on my timeline one day and ever since then the show took over me, it became a hyper fixation but it wasn't until the episode "Eda's Requiem" aired that the show became way more than it already was to me.

I would watch most show on owlclub.net when the episodes aired and after finishing the episode I froze, the scene where Eda and Rain play together, the animation in that part, the emotional moment for those two characters, the way the music and the voice acting made you feel the pain Eda was feeling. That moment made me stop and think "Wow, I wish I could do that" and then it hit me. I grew up watching a lot of cartoons and games, indulging in fantastical worlds because my childhood was not the best and always thanked the shows I watched because of how much it meant to me, so why couldn't I do the same. People have their own unique world in their lives, their own stories to tell, and those stories influence the people around us and can change the world for many. Bringing a story to life whether mine or not, could be the thing that changes a person's life just like how this shows changed mine.

And that brings me to the franchise that has the crown for being my biggest inspiration, Pokemon.

If I were to talk about how much Pokemon influenced me, I would probably take hours talking about it and honestly it would probably deserve it's own essay but in short Pokemon is to this day my special interest, every single thing the saga has inspired me to work on an artistic industry.

Yes, 101 Dalmatians is what inspired me to start drawing but Pokemon is what inspired me to create, it's whats always inspired me to write stories, design characters, think of scenarios whether canon or not. Pokemon single handedly made me realize just how much a story can affect and inspire others, how a community that's constantly growing and changing leads to more and more creative things that go beyond what they started as and non of it would be posible if it wasn't for the team in charge of bringing the Pokemon to life, the animation team.

From the battle of Ash against Arlan, the Pokemon generations shorts that gave different story points a new fresh air by bringing to life such important moments beyond the gameplay , the games themselves using detailed cutscenes during the most cardiac moments to truly make you feel the moment in the story, and even simple things like the Pokemon idles in Black and White or the animations of the Pokemon when you interact with them or when they interact with other things. All of those moments hold a special place within me and is the proof that anything can be bring to life, you just need your imagination and a paper to do so. Thank you for reading, until next time.

Jin wasn't intended to be a villain lmao.

The only time that was stated was during the Tekken 6 era when they made the claims that Jin was always intended to be a villain. Which the team (especially Harada) are notorious about lying, especially when it comes to making it seem like they've planned ahead instead of making up shit on the get go. Like them now claiming Jinpachi never had the devil gene despite them referring to Jinpachi as a devil a few times in Tekken 5. This is a lie to make it seem like they always planned for Kazumi to be the one with the devil gene, even though that's not true. So they lied about Jin being a villain as if to make it seem like he was always planned to be one.

Every time they bring up their plans for Jin being a villain, the story changes.

This is the claim you probably remember, this is from the Tekken 6 artbook. Again, this is not a trusted statement because Harada & Co. have been known to lie to make them appear as more competent writers and planners.

This is from the Street Fighter x Tekken artbook which contradicts the Tekken 6 artbook statement, but this one is likely the more honest one where they ADMITTED that Jin was indeed intended to be a GOOD GUY, and said exactly what I was saying - it's to make him DIFFERENT, ORIGINAL, AND DISTINCT FROM KAZUYA. Cuz yeah... why would you replace Kazuya with someone who's just Kazuya again? There's no logic to that. Which is also evidence that making Jin a villain was just a decision on the whim.

In an IGN interview that dropped after the first TK8 trailer, Harada refers to Jin as an "ALMOST" villain - implicating he doesn't even view Jin as a villain in Tekken 6, which completely contradicts the Tekken 6 statement that they planned on making Jin a villain from the beginning. Because that was a lie, and this is also a lie. Because Harada & Co. are liars.

Harada even made a tweet admitting he was the only one who wanted Jin to be a bad guy, that the writers didn't agree with it, but they eventually went along if they had a compromise. (That compromise being Jin can be bad, but if it's for a "good reason")

I'd have to find them, but I'm pretty sure in early magazines (Pre-Tekken 6) - there were articles stating that Jin was indeed meant to be Kazuya's foil, that he was what Kazuya would've been had Kazuya been raised with love instead of Heihachi's abuse. That, aligned with the Street Fighter x Tekken quote, along with how Jin behaved during Tekken 3-Tekken 4 (and even a lotta Tekken 5) proved that Jin was never gonna be a bad guy, his whole purpose was to be the Good Mishima, Kazuya's Foil, and the hero who endures tragedy after tragedy.

Tbf, all Tekken endings are noncanon unless confirmed otherwise. But like, I dunno, dude... Hwoarang and Jin had some good moments in Tekken 5. Jin even smiles at Hwoarang again in his story battle cut scene.

It's hard to see due to the camera angle, but viewing it with the default camera angle via hacks, Jin does indeed smile at Hwoarang here.

Also they acknowledge Tekken 4 often? Fuck, Tekken 7 and Tekken 8 literally have Jin and Xiaoyu's outfits from those games. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had the remix from "Arena" from Tekken 4. The cutscene in Tekekn 8, when Jin defeats Devil Jin for the 2nd time, we see a white feather that floats across the screen - referencing Jin's ending in Tekken 4. Tekken 7 uses a remix of the music in the beach stage from Tekken 4. And I'm sure there are waaaay more references that I can't remember rn. But the series constantly recognizes the previous games, more than just 3 and 5.

Also are you talking about Hwoarang's Epoch figure for Tekken 3? Because I'm pretty sure it gives the exact same bio as the Tekken 3 manual does lmao.

Again, like I said, Bandai-Namco has a bad habit of treating every part of the series in a vacuum, which they wouldn't bother to progress from.

Tekken 4 has a really good setup, but back then, it is not what these white collars believed because that game was a huge financial flop that caused Harada to leave the company for a year and the company would never progress anything from this game nor treated anything of it exist in the future. They only acknowledge Tekken 3 and Tekken 5 as their most successful part in the series.

I say this because I was very irritated when they mentioned Hwoarang's Tekken 8 design being fully inspired by his Tekken 3.

Bandai-Namco, I don't know who was in that executive board of investors, nor there are more of these executives in that old forsaken company.

I still remember VERY WELL, through the official render, this is basically an upgrade from Tekken 4 and they pretend that game doesn't exist.

Not only that, the original concept they had for Jin, was to make him a villain, day one, fully replacing Kazuya. They want him to keep the Mishima surname, but that won't be marketable, so they went the other way by taking his mother's surname.

Jin was the "good" Mishima, but only within a certain extent that either the writers and the company allowed them. This goes the same for the way they treated their side characters, as a disgruntled Hwoarang fan that received one of the worst design they ever made for him in Tekken 7.

Forget Xiaoyu(I am not going to talk about her for I will see nothing but red), consider yourself lucky that the only way you'll know Hwoarang's backstory in Tekken 3 was from a cardboard back of an action figure that probably doesn't exist anymore, and they never confirmed whether his ending in Tekken 3 is actually canon to Jin's journey. They're giving you crumbs.

Tekken 4 also established a really nice rivalry between Jin and Hwoarang, as he literally escaped a military compound just to fight Jin. Also has a more iconic ending as it is the first time you saw Jin smiling, appreciating the challenge.

...until Tekken 5 happened, and Tekken 6 happened...and he fell into obscurity.

who would have thought that sending the wrong text would lead here?

ever since you got your very first phone, you’ve been putting in contacts with people’s first and last name. even your closest friends, the ones whose numbers you know by heart, have their last names stored in your contacts. you suppose you do it because you like uniformity of it, but you never really gave much attention to that habit of yours. until right now.

maybe it was the universe’s wicked way of messing with you to have your sweet best friend and your utilitarian boss have the same last name. you’re usually so, so careful sending things to each of them because of it. you know that lee felix wouldn’t mind a mix-up but lee minho would probably end your existence with his steely stare if you sent him a text meant for someone else.

really, you could have avoided this whole thing if you had just consistently paid a little more attention to the name of the person you were sending things to before you sent it. but no one ever said you were observant.

you’re a little more than tipsy, having been at a work happy hour event for the past hour, and you couldn’t stop yourself from taking advantage of the drink deals. your job pays decently but not enough for you to want to pay fully for overpriced drinks. as a lull in the conversation around you has you pulling out your phone and opening twitter, idly scrolling with your thumb as you sip on your third espresso martini.

when your boss is so hot but he’s so married, a tweet reads, making you snort under your breath. this tweet has felix written all over it, with his mount everest sized crush on his boss chan that he vehemently denies every time you bring it up.

you tap the share button to send it to felix, just as your favorite coworker hyunjin frantically taps on your shoulder to get your attention. you quickly tap the first contact you see under “lee” and send it, locking your phone to give hyunjin your full attention. if you didn’t, he would cause a scene and you weren’t equipped to deal with that right now.

a few minutes later your phone buzzes in your hand and you peek at your notifications below the table.

“i’m not often at a loss for words but you’ve managed to render me speechless.” a text from lee minho, your boss, reads. your brow furrows as you think about what it could mean; you haven’t spoken to minho all night, you’ve barely texted him ever, he’s all the way across the bar from you. you unlock your phone to see if you missed any messages from him, but you freeze in your tracks once the app pulls up.

right above his text is the tweet you sent to felix. or, by the looks of it, to minho.

“oh god,” you groan, putting your head in your hands to hide the blush that was furiously making itself known. hyunjin casts a curious look your way, but you look up to meet minho’s eyes and you have to get out of there. you mumble to hyunjin that you’ll pay him back for your drinks and rush out of the bar, almost tripping over your chair in your haste to leave.

you’re almost at your car when you hear an annoyingly smug voice call out your name.

“aren’t you a little too drunk to be driving right now?” minho says, catching up to you with long, graceful strides and leaning against the trunk of a car. your car. what the hell. “sending a text like that means you can’t be sober.”

“mr. lee, sir, i’m so sorry,” you start, your blush creeping your way up to your ears as this your breaths quicken. you’re so losing your job right now. “that text wasn’t meant for you, i don’t even know how this happened. it wasn’t even about you! not that i don’t think you’re hot! i mean- that’s not what i meant, i just meant you’re not unattractive-“

“hey, it’s okay,” he says, his demeanor changing as your anxiety increased, his voice the gentlest you’ve ever heard it. his eyes were wide and his hands were held out as if he wanted to comfort you but didn’t know how. “i was just teasing you.” you look up at his face for the second time tonight and see- compassion? concern? “i figured it was a mistake.”

“oh,” you stammer, heart rate slowing down to a less concerning pace. lee minho is being nice to you? tough, hard, hot, unattainable lee minho is being nice to you?

“but for the record, i don’t think you’re unattractive either,” he says, his soft smirk mixing with his warm eyes. all you can do is squeak at his words, resisting the urge to hide your face in your hands as the blood rushed to your cheeks.

“let me drive you home,” he says, already tugging your hand in the direction of his car. you aren’t drunk, but he doesn’t need to know that yet.

you let him drive you home.

he lets you pick the music.

and then you let him inside.

hours later, you’re both sitting on opposite ends of your couch with drying hair, drinking coffee in companionable silence that should be much more awkward than it is. your lips are red, bite marks mark your collar, and you feel more satisfied than you have in forever.

“i-“ you start, wincing at how hoarse your voice sounded and clearing your throat a little. “i’m a bit surprised. i thought you didn’t like me, to be honest. i thought you didn’t like any of us.” you’re trying to piece together this person in front of you, the tough and cold boss at work not seeming to mesh with the teasing yet shy and caring man in front of you, in your home, and a welcome presence at that. the way he’s taken care of you tonight, exceptionally attentive like you’re something to be protected, has broken any conceptions you had about him and it’s making your head spin.

“i never meant to make you feel that way,” he starts, serious, setting his coffee down after taking a sip. he turns and folds his legs under himself to face you on the couch and you’re instantly endeared by how much he resembles a cat. maybe he has cats? you want to ask if he has cats. you want to know everything about him. “i just, wanted to be respected, i guess. sometimes i care too much and people walk all over me and i didn’t want that to happen again. i do really like you and our team, who do you think buys bagels and leaves them in the break room every week?” he smiles insecurely, not quite meeting your eyes, and the look on his face makes your heart melt. you want to kiss that soft smile off his face.

“i thought they just appeared there,” you say, voice teasing and soft, and the conversation lulls off as you both sip on your coffee in silence. a moment passes, and you’re almost tempted to ask him if he wants to stay the night-

“but,” he starts, voice loud and awkward as he ducks his head down bashfully. “i think i like you a little more than the others.”

summary : so what if it was a stupid fake relationship in a stupid game? knowing he couldn’t stomaching his lover with someone else even in a fake world was enough motivation to hijack her stream.

a/n : it's always wonderful to hear ! jealous schlatt is honestly one of my favourite things in this world, it fits with my own hc's of his character being insecure with his relationship; and his undying love and yearn to show off the most gorgeous thing in his life.

Schlatt was always a believer in privacy; he hated when other people harassed him to know his business. And yet, there was one personal aspect of his life he felt the urge to always overshare; his beloved wife. Perhaps it stemmed from his mere denial that he could ever land such a woman, one of strong will, refreshing sense of humour, and looks that could instantly have him on his knees. It was more likely that he felt the need to assert and remind everyone in the damn world who owned his pretty girl's heart, not to say she didn't have his over lock and key either.

She made numerous appearances on stream, and having been a guest in every podcast he owned while also appearing on others alongside him. And yet for a lot of their careers it was just that: appearances. They each had their own friend group that they interacted with and made content with, hardcore fans would know, but newcomers or part-time viewers could easily not know of her marriage to the other big Internet personality. It wasn't that they were ashamed to show off each other to viewers, every other tweet or post from either would be a photo of their lover usually in candid photos. It was just that marriage can feel suffocating, draining even when you see the same person all the time at all hours of the day; not to say that either of them regretted it.

They both needed time to be their own person and not just 'that one streamer's husband/wife', this was their way of keeping their relationship outside of work. And it generally went pretty smoothly, schedules needed to be rearranged for it to work, but in the end everything worked out. Or at least it should have. Although the fact was they both discussed their big projects amongst each other, not everything tended to get mentioned; likely because there was just so much to talk to and one could only talk about work for so long. This happened on Y/n's part, with so many things she balanced in her online career, it was bound to be that she forgot to mention something.

And really she didn't think it was that big of a deal, she was a minor character in a role-play smp composed of her friends and friend's of those friends, and it involved a fake relationship that she genuinely thought nothing of. They followed a loose-ish script, she was here on a favour from a friend that figured she could play the role of innocent female that had an arranged marriage but actually falls in love with her arranged husband role pretty well. The problem was that she was playing the role too well.

Their interactions spread like wildfire, and the ship between her character self and her friend's grew exponentially that in inevitably ended up on Schlatt's timeline. He followed a few fanart accounts that he found especially talented, and one had retweeted a very good piece of art that depicted his wife in a romantic scene with someone who was not him. When they had first revealed their relationship, he thought that all other ships between his lover and anyone else died out; because she was married. Although this seemed less than dead, and scrolling through the tag of their ship name (just knowing it existed made him shudder) he found many detailed artworks (and some discussing fan fictions) about this.

He of course ran to his darling about it, trying not to sound sour about it. She was laid out on the couch, cuddling with Jambo whilst mindlessly scrolling through her phone. "Hi sweetheart, hi Jambo– what the fuck is this?" He took a seat near her legs, while extending his phone for her to see; it was the fanart he had originally seen. "Oh, yeah, I'm like married on the SMP I told you about." She had set down her phone and moved her position upright as she moved Jambo off her chest to hold him like a baby, their baby. She thought nothing of it, but seeing her husbands (half) jokingly pouty face she made sure to lean in and kiss his cheek. "It's sorta like the Dream SMP you were apart of, people marry each other for story purposes and whatever. I'm only there as a favour, we both know the kind of fanbase doing Minecraft content can attract nowadays." A light chuckle left him, but he was certainly still salty. "I trust you toots, you know the thought of you with anyone else irks me."

In said tag that he scrolled through until his eyes burned, there were very real stream clips of his Y/n jokingly flirt with this guy. He wasn't mad at her, and he certainly wasn't going to stop based on his own insecurities; she was just doing her job. However... That didn't exactly stop him from messaging this SMP's creator on Twitter.

I want to join your SMP.

Back and forth was exchanged, going through this creator, their friends who managed the story and being practically begged to not drag them into some kind of controversy (his name alone had a chance to stir uproar). And with some convincing, maybe just a little bit of 'if you have me you know viewers will spike', and he was scheduled to make a surprise appearance and literally crash her Minecraft wedding; all while only the SMP's creator, and a handful of others knowing. Y/n and her fake fiancée not having been told.

The day of the lore stream, inside the Schlatt household nothing seemed amiss; in fact it seemed to be oddly cheery. An ear-to-ear smile retained on his face, she knew he was hiding something but couldn't imagine what it could be. "You seem in a good mood today. Wanna share what's got your spirits so high?" She questioned lightheartedly, she loved seeing her husband happy but he just wasn't the type to be for no reason. He set down his steaming mug of bitter black coffee upon the counter, moving in closer to cradle her movingly. "I reminded myself that you're mine." A soft awe escaped the smaller woman's lips, completely oblivious to what should happen once she starts work. "I told you about how I'm marrying this guy on stream today right?" A soft mhm left his lips, "at the end of the day you're mine." She hummed in agreement to this, his comment flying over her head cause how was she supposed to know he was going to crash their wedding?

The stream was going fairly good, in-game text having been turned off to look more cinematic; the notification of a jschlatt joining the game completely not shown. The reasoning behind their union being that of alliance between nations, and just as she'd say those fateful words that she hadn't uttered since her actual wedding; a tnt explosion went off.

And who else's Minecraft character came running in but that of her husband? "WHAT'S UP FUCKERS?" Immediately was heard after he had joined the discord call, having joined the server mere moments before. The name of her lover slipping off her lips in surprise "Schlatt?" This was not apart of the script. "Y/n! Darling, who is that?" "I could be saying the same thing, get your hands off my fucking wife!" Maybe some part of his over the top persona was real burning jealousy, despite the fact they were all interacting in a children's game. It unravelled into a duel to the death, and a subplot he made up along the way that they'd been sneaking out to meet in the dead of night, and that they were true soulmates. He described himself as her hero in shinning armour, proclaiming that he would save her from the forced matrimony. It was adorable, and playing along she didn't miss a beat. "It's true... I'm sorry, I never really wanted to marry you." And the whole thing ended with Schlatt up and killing her would be husband and running away with her.

Once the cameras stopped running, each left their home offices (he didn't want to actually go to their rented out office space out of laziness) and met up in the kitchen, cheeky grin akin to that of earlier that morning. A small smile upon hers, "so that's what had you in such a good mood?" "Maybe a little." He was quick to wrap her up in his arms, catching a glimpse of the wedding ring that she never took off; a flood of warmth and glee washed over him. His own wedding band reminding him of who always waited at home for him. Even just the quick peck of her lips was like a surge of dopamine; just having her around tested his self control. "Were you jealous, by chance?" Her teasing words spoke a rhetorical question, she already knew the answer to that. She expected him to vehemently reject the notion; but with those eyes of pure devotion he spoke without a speck of sarcasm.

"Yeah, I really was." A toothy grin accompanying his words, hands gripping at her upper arms in a gentle hold. "I... It's so fucking stupid, I know. I watched your stream clips and you looked so radiant and... I was scared he'd make you happier than I would. I know maybe ruining some part of whatever narrative they were trying to write was slightly extreme, but I'd do anything not to lose you." Her eyes had this soft gaze upon him that made everything feel okay, "I'm sorry I ruined your stream sweetheart, know that I asked permission first." "There's nothing to be sorry about, if anything I'm sorry." She huffed out, a feeling of guilt overcoming her heart. "I should've asked you how you felt about it first, no one could ever make me happier than you can. Please don't worry yourself over it, and I'm sorry for making you feel like that."

It may have felt slightly dramatic and cheesy, lord knows Schlatt would never let this kind of tender moment between the two ever get let out as to not damage his macho persona. But he was human too, and at the end of the day sometimes he needed those sappy sweet words of reassurance; he knows he isn't perfect but it's nice to know he's enough.
