And that’s a wrap up for Fairytale February! Thank you all so much for following along! It was so much fun to take some of my favorite designs and redraw them in my own style! Perhaps next year I’ll continue the story!

maddie time! this one feels a bit "busy" to me but i feel like it works for maddie's character. i tried to make this one feel fun! i'm working on briar next but i don't know who to do after that so i am open to suggestions!

The fact that in the books she says that she's joining the Rebel cause because it's not fair that people can't own the best teashop in the world like 😭😭😭 she's mad that her destiny is supposed to be only hers 😭😭😭 she LOVES her story, her role and wants to share it and its amazingness with everyone because she wants everyone to be happy and silly and to eat pastries and drink tea together 😭😭😭 she's too precious I can't

I feel like no one talks about how Maddie is only actually a rebel because her friends are, because if it was up to her, she’d follow her father’s footsteps no problem, but she saw her friends talking about how their destinies sucked and they wanted something better for themselves, and that’s what made her decide to join that cause, her love for her friends, and I think that’s awesome

Next in our lineup is Maddie Hatter! A resident of Wonderland and a true friend, Maddie isn’t afraid to be who she is! She is always there to bring the fun and laughter wherever she goes…as long as there’s time for tea!

M: “and I’m Maddie hatter! Raven and I decided to set up a silly little thing call an ask blog  to answer any of your preposterous questions you have about our Version of our World of ever after!”

N: “and maybe get some input on the current situation going on at our school. It’s gotten really complicated. And it be nice to ask for some outside input.”

M: “oh also, we’re not the only ones who can answer your curiosities  everyone in the school is allowed to chip in to! So feel free to ask anyone anything!  tootles  for now  :)”

“Maddie, do you ever feel like you’re forgetting something important?”

“My dad raised me, Raven. So yes, always.”

“You shouldn’t be speaking to Apple, Raven,” Maddie warned, tugging at Raven’s arm as the future evil queen ran off in a splay of ruby fabric, distress written across her chalky face.

They’d been enemies since spellamentary school. They weren’t anywhere close to friends, and Raven had never felt any sympathy for such a cruel and hateful person. Definitely not when she was constantly getting picked on in preparation for their story to play out. Yet the way Apple spoke was suddenly so different. Meek and worried, distraught about some…dream? A vision? Raven still wasn’t sure what exactly she’d been going on about.

“Raven?”

“Huh?” Raven shook her head, glancing down at her shorter best friend. “Sorry, Maddie. I wasn’t listening.”

“Clearly. What did Apple want now?”

Raven pursed her lips. “Surprisingly nothing.”

“I trust ‘nothing’ as much as I trust Wonderlandian weather.”

“She seemed…out of it. Maybe she really needed my help this time…”

“Apple doesn’t deserve your help. She’s been nothing but a bandersnatch towards you forever. Let her be.”

“Maybe you’re right.” Raven sighed, running a hand across the bottom of her jaw. “Maddie, do you ever feel like you’re forgetting something important?”

Maddie hoisted a brow. “My dad raised me, Raven. So yes, always.”

Briar’s false world doesn’t last forever. It eventually starts to fall apart and out hapless heroes begin to regain their memories. Doesn’t mean it’s any less concerning though.
