After working on my new personal project I’m proud to report I’ve finished 1/3 of Giselle! This is my personal retelling of the classic ballet and has been a project I’ve been dreaming about for years... It’s going to be a bit ambitious…fully coloured and a silent comic…but it has been creatively fulfilling too! Thanks for following along my comic making journey! Watch out! Here comes the baddest wolf at school, Ramona Badwolf! She definitely has a reputation, but even with all those sharp claws and teeth she has a soft spot for her sister. She may be rough around the edges but she cares deeply for her family and the secret they have to protect.

Faybelle Thorn has a lot to live up to. As a dark fairy she’s destined to place a curse on the future sleeping beauty. And while she does follow that path (especially if she isn’t invited to a party) she still wants to do the right thing. She may just curse a few people along the way!

Ginger Breadhouse may be destined to be the witch in Hansel and Gretel…but she’s actually the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. She chooses to change her destiny and use her amazing baking skills to share treats made with love. She may be a rebel but she’s as sweet as can be!

Meeshell Mermaid was such a mystery when she arrived to Ever After High. Quiet and shy at first, Meeshell started to open up when she shared her amazing singing voice. She may still be more confident in the water but one day she will come out of her shell!

Lizzie Hearts is true Wonderland royalty. She can come off as a bit intense, after all the job of the future Queen of Hearts can be ruthless. She’s slowly opening up to her friends and learning how to rule her own way.

Kitty Chesire is hard to categorize…her mischevious nature is rebellious but she follows her mother’s footsteps with every prank she pulls. Either way this smiling trickster loves to turn things topsy turvy…maybe after a quick cat nap.

Rosabella Beauty is known at school for her kindness towards everyone…especially the beasts. Like her fairytale she has the ability to see the beauty within everyone, even the students who have a more villainous side.

Starting off our Fairytale February with Duchess Swan, one of my personal favorites!

Being the daughter of the Swan Princess is a tough role but Duchess takes it with grace. Like a true swan she does have a thorny side…but when your destiny dictates a tragic ending it’s bound to affect your personality. Despite it all she is slowly learning and prefers to share her feelings through dance rather than words.

Who’s ready for Lunar New Year? Just for my upcoming markets in January and February I’ll have these as sets of postcards and notepads while supplies last! The design is inspired by traditional Chinese landscape paintings with my qilin character! Qilin are regarded as guardians and symbols of prosperity, perfect to be our protectors in the new year!

This year’s art summary! So much has happened this year that I’m so thankful for. It was a huge year for my art career getting to do larger scale projects and public artwork. Thank you for everything this year, from cons to visiting my public art! Seeing my art on a traffic box makes me cry still! I also got to exhibit at the AGA twice which you can still see! And the highlight was being a finalist in the Winx Fanart contest. That truly was a dream come true!

Final Lovix in the lineup is Aisha, just in time before this holiday season ends! I love how her usual green colour becomes this perfect winter green. With the cool blues and purple it comes together so well!

I’ve been learning how to do some 3D modelling and after a lot of trial and error I made this little shark! My hope is to get them 3d printed and paint them! So keep an eye out for mini figures in the new year! 👀
