Good Omens graphic novel update: August 2024
This time last year, the Kickstarter was in full swing, what a journey itâs been since then! Colleen is still working hard to complete the graphic novel and we have some incredible pages to share with you.
There have been many merchandise updates in the past few months and whilst a number of backers told us they loved these, others wanted to hear more directly about the graphic novel itself. So, for this month we will focus 100% on Colleenâs work, and how the various editions of the book are coming along. Everything is shaping up rather nicely, if we do say so ourselves!
You may have seen some of the sneak peeks Colleen has posted recently, such as this wonderful scene between our heroes:
And our favourite angel and demon on the road.
Collen has recently shared a rare view from her drawing board with us. "Working on pages 75 pages apart at the same time" she explains. The joy for us is that these pages arrive similarly out of order, so the graphic novel is unfurling like a magnificent jigsaw.
The reversible alternative covers by Rachael Stott and Frank Quitely are coming together beautifully. Different vibes, both âheavenlyâ and weâre delighted to share them with you:
Moving inside. Here's an introduction to your introduction: our favourites include: Dog: Satanical hellhound and cat-worrier. Everyone should have one!
With the pencils mapping out the story almost completely in place, here are some samples from across the book â donât worry weâre not giving too much away. It is always interesting to see these images come in, then watch them evolve over time
As we enter the latter stages of inking and colouring, we're also getting glorious new artwork by the bucketload. Colleen has been working diligently and itâs simply wonderful to see the story coming to life so vibrantly.
We shared this a few updates ago in its inked form. Now here it is in full glass-shattering colour.
A jaunty moustache and some 'definitely not-bad-news' being delivered in the middle of a birthday party.
A prior inked piece we shared before. Crowley venting his frustrations, oh so subtly.
And here's a closer look at some of the Horsemen in situ.
...of course you must also have some snippets of Aziraphale and Crowley having a fine time with books and wine.
And this rather lovely panel ends the previews of our main duo for this update.
But one final thing before we leave our heroes for this month... feast your eyes on this absolutely gorgeous celestial piece.
And now to the admin.
If you have a query, please check the Good Omens graphic novel FAQ page at terrypratchett.com. Some key recurring questions:
The Good Omens graphic novel was listed to publish in July 2024 - why have I not received it? We shared an update on April 16th 2024 introducing the new timeline and full context on why dates had to be moved. You can read that here. We appreciate that some didn't catch the timeline update and had been expecting items to arrive across July and August - the graphic novel and surrounding items are due to arrive in Spring 2025 to align with the new publication date. Thank you for your patience. We promise that it will be worth the wait! Â
I've been in touch with a query about my pledge but have not heard back - what should I do? We have been dealing with a significantly increased number of messages recently and our team are working through them as best we can. If you have messaged over a week ago and are yet to hear back, please get in touch again, either via the message thread on Kickstarter or your previous email chain. Rest assured, we are reading and working through all messages as quickly as we can and appreciate your patience.
If your question is not answered in the FAQ, please don't hesitate to contact us and we can get back to you as soon as possible.
Events
We announced in our June update that Crowley's S2 Bentley would be appearing at ACME Comic Con in Glasgow. Unfortunately, our team will no longer be attending, so the Bentley will not appear at this event. We wanted to let you know as soon as possible in case you have booked tickets expressly to see it, or to meet the Good Omens HQ team. Maggie Service is also no longer attending the event, however Quelin Sepulveda, our beloved Muriel, is still appearing on the Saturday, and there are many filming locations around the central belt of Scotland if you are visiting, so you can still make your trip a little more ineffable. We apologise for any disruption to your plans.
Colleen has also had to cancel her appearance at the upcoming DragonCon, as she explains here.

@marianasue mentioned here that Donna appears to be wearing the same clothes in the BTS shot outside The Bear as the promo where sheâs talking to Syd (also notes Carmyâs blue dress shirt, which will make his eyes pop).
Itâs making me think that maybe the wedding reception or rehearsal dinner is at The Bear? If they need money, I could see them catering (Frank is paying) like Cicero did for the birthday party in S1?
Also the whole thing about Richie telling Frank he can come to The Bear when âitâs perfectâ? And then having to have a wedding event there to rub salt in?
This lets Syd use her catering experience (maybe even mean pasta lady will be there) which Carmy doesnât really have (although heâs cooked for large groups of people) and then Donna sees who is really running the show at The Bear and cue her comments in the promo.
Syd is really in charge of The Bear, despite Carmyâs behavior in S3. So face off of two momma bears? đ¤Ł

March 21, 2020 - British GQ
It's Sunday morning when I speak to MUNA down the line from LA. Lead guitarist Josette Maskin is drinking coffee in sweats on her sofa, while vocalist Katie Gavin is on her way to a composting workshop at a local library â possibly the most LA thing Iâve ever heard. In other words, theyâre kicking it.
But thatâs fair enough. 2019 was a big year for the electronic pop trio: they released their vibrant second album, Saves the World, and embarked on a 17-date tour of North America, plus two triumphant London shows at a packed Village Underground. âWeâre not from London, but it felt like a homecoming, because London as a city has seen us grow so much as a band,â says Gavin. âEveryone in the crowd was singing every verse.â
All of the members of MUNA are queer, an integral facet of the bandâs DNA. After the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, their soaring track I Know a Place became an unofficial anthem of resistance for the LGBTQ community, sung at vigils by grieving fans. âWe didnât write the song for it to be a way to remember the people who died,â says Gavin, âbut the fact thatâs what itâs been used for is an honour I donât think we could have imagined.â Although at first MUNA were wary of being labelled a âqueer pop groupâ, theyâve leaned into it. âA lot of our story has been about learning to accept the responsibility,â says Gavin. âWe love our community and want to be put to use.â
To be silent in the age of Trump would have felt like complicity. âWe do live in hell, to be frank,â says synth player and guitarist Naomi McPherson of the president. They regretted not making a political statement ahead of their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2016. When the opportunity to perform on the late-night institution came around again a year later, Gavin wrote an extra verse for I Know a Place, with the lyrics âHeâs not my leader, even if heâs the presidentâ. The verse has become a fan favourite, bellowed by US crowds in defiance of the racist, sexist Trump. âWe do the extra verse when the spirit strikes us,â explains Maskin. âFor when it feels right.â
Being a political band in the era of Trump is a heavy mantle to bear. Although MUNA donât plan to stop engaging politically, âWe want to make music about pleasure and fun also, in opposition to the constant news cycle and oppression we feel,â says McPherson. Besides, writing music about queer love and desire is an inherently political act. âRight now weâre writing straight-up sexy songs,â says Gavin of the bandâs ongoing studio time, âbut the fact theyâre about the relationships we engage in, and to be a queer woman openly singing about desire, is political. It doesnât matter what we write, everything we do is political and personal at the same time.â
I ask MUNA whether they feel queerness has been appropriated to shift product, in the same way big brands bastardised feminism to hock scented candles and self-care bath foam. âI feel like any radical movement is at risk of being commodified and sold back to us,â says McPherson. âThatâs been happening for years since Pride became a corporate event. They put Che [Guevara] on T-shirts!â But MUNA feel that, on balance, any representation is better than none. âVisibility is important,â Maskin adds. âIt can mean a lot to some kid somewhere to see queer people represented.â
Speaking to MUNA, itâs clear theyâre genuinely good friends. They formed in high school (not at a college party, as is often reported). âWeâre definitely homies,â McPherson says with a laugh. âJo and I live together, so we spend every waking minute in each otherâs presence.â They recently went roller-skating for Gavinâs birthday: sheâs a good skater, the others less so. That strong base helped MUNA when they were coming up in the industry. âWeâve always had the privilege of having each other as protectors,â says Maskin. Having creative control is of paramount importance â they stand in opposition to the high-polish, PR-workshopped pop bands dominating the charts on any given day. âWe wouldnât have been able to exist as a band unless we were the ones controlling and making what we do,â Maskin says.
When the band toured with Harry Styles in 2017, they saw up close the effects of international celebrity on an individual. âWhen we first met, I felt a lot of concern for him,â says Maskin. âItâs such a crazy life he lives. But he takes it in his stride â heâs such a nice person and really cares about his fans. That level of fame is insane and unfathomable!â But as MUNA continue to carve out a special place in the hearts of their fans, queer or otherwise, global fame looks set to be coming for them, whether they like it or not.

About a Girl: Chapter 8
Beautiful header by my beloved @not-a-unique-snowflake-blog
Joel Miller x Trans!Fem!Reader (Nickname, Blue)
Series Masterlist : The Last of Us Masterlist : Full Masterlist
Summary: For week 5 of my pride event: Struggles. Joel, Sarah, Blue, and
Warnings for whole fic, not chapter by chapter: 18+ ONLY!! I cannot warn against everything, but these are major themes. Joel is a lil ignorant but not out of hate. He just doesn't know. He's trying his best. There will be smut. Penetrative sex, all of the anal play, oral. There will be transphobia from other people. Addiction and alcoholism. QUICK child neglect not by Joel but I promise, Sarah is fine and is having a great time in life. Fetishization of women attracted to women by a shitty guy. Will update as needed. Again, this is adult content. Expect adult content.
Immersivity: Reader is transgender, AMAB female, reader has had gotten bottom surgery, not top, and is on hormones. reader has visible hair and a blue streak in hair, but not described. Could be braids, could be natural hair, whatever. Header is for aesthetics only. Reader is about Joel and Tommy's height. Let me know if i miss anything!
TRANS LIVES MATTER! TRANS YOUTH MATTER! TRANS ELDERLY MATTER! TRANS WOMEN MATTER! TRANS MEN MATTER! NON BINARY TRANS MATTER!

She was wearing the dress you bought her. They both were.Â
Joel watched from the kitchen as Sarah and Ellie had their little tea party in the cute matching dresses you had bought them. Ellie was over for a playdate, a tea party to be exact. For Sarahâs birthday, which Joel spent much of the time wishing you were there and Sarah mentioned multiple times she missed you as well, Tommy had handmade her a table and chair set.
Since Joel kicked him out, things had been⌠shitty. Joel missed him a lot, even though they still saw each other almost every day at work. It was the off season so hours were reduced, but Bill and Frank never left the four of them hanging, and made sure they had some contacts for extra hours at other farms or under the table work to make up their hours. Tommy had been riding with Tess now, and it seems in his spare time Joel wasnât privy to had been making the set in Bill's garage. Sarah was ecstatic and first thing was asking if she could have Ellie over for a tea party the next weekend. Joel confirmed with Ellieâs very uninterested foster mom, saying he could pick up and drop off when she didnât seem enthused about bringing her over two weeks in a row. Ellie was Sarahâs best friend, and since you were gone Sarah seemed down, so Joel was going out of his way to cheer his little girl up. She deserved it. She deserves everything. She deserved to have you in her life, Joel didnât.
The night Joel came home to Tommy doing heroin was one of the worst nights of his life. He was so scared for her, scared sheâd accidentally stuck herself with the needle or wandered off into the street to get hit or kidnapped or worseâŚif something happened to Sarah, his life would be over. Thereâd be no point anymore. He put her to bed the second time, comin downstairs to an empty living room but knowing youâd be coming in soon. He was scared, embarrassed that Talia had seen all that, and worried what Sarah saw and heard. Worried how heâd explain Tommy being gone⌠If heâd just gone to rehab itâd be easier, but he still refused. Instead, he lived with Tess and came over sometimes because of course he did, they were still brothers⌠it was hard to explain why Tommy didnât live here anymore. And it was going to be hard to explain why you were gone.
âThis isnât gonna work.â
You blinked at him, mouth agap. âJoel⌠come on donât do this.â
âYou donât wanna be with me like this.â Joel shook his head.
âBaby, noâŚâ You try to approach him, raising your arms to hold him but he held out a hand. He was still surprise that you stopped. Kayla never respected his boundaries like that. âYou think I care about this? I mean- fuck I mean I care, you know I care about Sarah and Tommy but I mean⌠I donât view you differently. It makes me sad Tommy is hurting like this but I donât view him different⌠Joel I wanna help-â
He cut you off. âYou canât.â Joelâs face was hardened, his soft eyes looking lost. âThis isnât a good time and⌠I canât have distractions.â
Joelâs heart breaks when he seeâs your lower lips quiver. âAm I a distraction to you?â
He wanted to say no. He wanted to say you were everything, you completed him, you were apart of his little found family and he loved you so, so much⌠but he couldnât. Sarah was left alone for anything to happen because Joel was with you. It wasnât your fault. It was his.
âYes.â
Joel was sure Ellie wouldnât like the dress, but she was wearing it. Maybe she just didnât get nice things as a foster child. Joel thought that was a shame. Ellie was a good kid, nice if a little rough sometimes but never malicious. Her and Sarah were playinging some game with sticks as Joel sat on the deck drinking coffee with Tommy. He watched as she got a little over zealous and THWACK, a stick across Sarahâs face. It looked worse than it was, and sure probably hurt bad, but nothing but a few cuts on her face. Joel ran down the deck to hold a screaming Sarah, not noticing Ellie disappearing when his back turned. Tommy did.
As Sarah calmed down, Tommy appeared holding Ellieâs hand. Ellie tried to run out the gate but it was locked, she just managed to take get it undone, smart kid she was, when Tommy scooped her up.
As Sarahâs sobs turned into sniffles, Joel turned to see Ellie frozen, eyes wide and body shaking.
âHey nowâŚâ Joel said softly. âItâs alright Ellie, it was an accident. See? She âsalright.â Joel motioned to Sarah who was wiping her eyes.
âJoel.â Tommy mumbles. âI donât think thatâs what sheâs worried aboutâŚâ
Oh. She was scared of him. âYouâre okay, Ellie. I ainât mad, game just got a little wild, thatâs all. Right Sarah? Youâre okay arenât you?â
Sarah whipped her tears, standing up. âYeah Iâm okay!â Although her voice still wobbled and her face was still wet. âDaddy can we have a snack?â
âYeah, of course babygirl. Iâll bring your chairs and table out so you can eat out here, sound good?â
Joel and Tommyâs eyes connected. The pieces were there to conclude what they thought, but the evidence was all circumstantial.Â
As Sarah and Ellie ate their snack, he noticed how quickly Ellie ate her food, asking for more. Joel decided to ask her foster mom is she could stay for dinner. He heard them talking as they ate.
âWhere did you get these dresses? Did you buy them?â Ellie asked her.
âUh-uh. Daddyâs girlfriend Blue bought them!â
âWhere is she?â
Joel watched as Ellie glanced down at her food. âThey broke up.â
âOh. Iâm sorry.â
âI miss her. My mommy is gone too.â
âDid she die?â
âNo, she and my daddy broke up too.â
âYour dad breaks up a lot. He shouldnât be so picky, heâs too old.â
Joel couldn't help smile at that. Ellie didnât have a filter. It wasnât that he being picky; it wasnât about you. You were perfect. Joel pictured himself marrying you, having a life with you. You were perfect. He was wrong. Everything about Joelâs life was chaos and it wasnât fair to you or Sarah or Tommy to split his attention even more. And now, it seemed, he was taking on a lot of responsibility for Ellie too. It was just too much.Â
Joel turned on the TV while he cooked dinner, Ellie and Sarah playing upstairs.
âGrunge pioneer and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain found dead in his apartment today, thought to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.â
Joel dropped the spoon into his spagetti sauce. âShit.â He murmured, trying to fish it out with a spatula. Nirvana was your favorite, you idolized Kurt Cobain. He knew more about the beef between him and Guns âN Roses or Nirvana and Pearl Jam than he ever thought he would; he didnât even know who Nirvana or Pearl Jam were before you, honestly. He loved hearing your passion, even if it was all so new to him, an he loved when you showed him new songs, but nothing got your mouth going like Nirvana did; the absolute excited way you talked about their music made your eyes light up and youâd bounce in your seat, joyful and enthusiastic, a love for life Joel admired.Â
He loved how someone whoâd been through so much could be so⌠happy. It gave him hope. From life as a depressed, addicted âgay manâ couch surfing and sometimes homeless, to a school teacher, happy and loving and stable as a woman. Before you, he only vaguely knew what being trans was. No one really talked about it except occasionally some article or an episode of TV. Joel didnât think much about it, but he knew what others thought. Many said it was a sin, or unnatural, or that it was body mutilation⌠Some said things like they would regret it, that it was a mental illness⌠Joel didnât know much about mental illness, if he was being honest. He knew it was considered a mental illness by the big book psychiatrists use⌠but he always knew until the 70âs being gay was considered one too, and Joel didnât think Tess, Bill and Frank were mentally ill. Well, Bill was a conspiracy theorist and a little cooky at times, but his head was on straight. Joel didnât really care what anyone said. You were living and looking the way you wanted to save your life, and Joel was glad you were alive, even if you weren't a part of his world.
After serving up his girls, a heaping serving for Ellie to make up for what sheâs not getting at âhomeâ, Joel leaned against the counter, spooning the left over right into his mouth. One less dish to clean. He liked Ellie, he thought as he ate, even if she was a bit of a pain in the ass. She was spirited in a way Sarah wasnât, but a good kid. She also liked baseball, and would watch with him sometimes before Sarah dragged her away.
He heard the doorbell, and Sarah ran up shouting âIâll get it!!!â and as Joel walked over to the door still chewing a big mouthful of spaghetti, she informed him it was Aunt Tess.
âHey Tess,â Joel swallowed his food, âSorry, I canât have anyone other than Tommy over, Ellieâs over for a playdate.â
Tess didnât look like herself, sollem and worried face mareing her expressions. âJoel⌠something happened with BlueâŚâ
His heart dropped. âIs it the Kurt Cobain thing? Is she okay? I know thats probably really upset-âÂ
She cut him off, hand raised but not rudely. âNo, Joel I- jesus⌠Tommy say anything to you?â
Joel furrowed his brow. What did he do now? âNo⌠he get into trouble again?â
âNo⌠he was pretty out of it the other night but⌠him and me with with Max. Joel, I swear, he said he dumped Kayla.â
Taking a deep breath, Joel cringed at her name. âYâall can do whatever you want, itâs none of my business.â But it still hurt, just a little, even if it was irrational.Â
Tess scrubbed her face. âJoel, itâs bad, itâs so bad. Tommy got drunk, and he started talkân, and you know how he gets⌠well Max was talkn âbout Kayla and her beef with Blue and I swear, no one was talkân bad about her, Tommy was sayân how much he likes her, and I donât even know how it came out but Tommy mentioned her being trans-â
âShit- To Max? Tess, you know how he is!â Joel turned into the house, bellowing. âTOMMY!â
âI know! I know, okay but listenâŚâ She shifted her feet. âI guess he wasnât done with KaylaâŚâ Tessâs face looked wracked with guilt, biting her lip and struggling to get out the story.
It was bad.
*
Joel dropped Ellie off with her foster mom, sending her with some fruit snacks. Not trusting Tommy with Sarah alone yet, Joel left her with Tommy and Tess; Talia answered Blueâs door.
âJoel.â She sighed, leaning against the doorframe. âThis isnât a good time. You know I love yuh, but she donât need this right now.â
Joel shuffled, placing his hands in his pockets. âIâm- fuck, Iâm sorry I just⌠I wanted to check on âerâŚâÂ
Taliaâs face softens, her body language relaxing. âI know⌠and Iâm sorry. Maybe come by in a few days, Iâll let her know you stopped by, but she said she didnât wanna see anyone-â
âTalia? Is that Joel?â
Signing at the voice of her best friend, she turned around. âYeah babe, I told him to come by in a day or two.â
The sound of you sitting up made his heart leap. The idea of seeing you after months was exciting and nerve racking.Â
Acquiescing, Talia opened the door to your apartment where Joel saw you. You were still in your PJâs, hair a mess, your eyes bloodshot and puffy. You were still the prettiest woman heâd ever seen in his life.
âHey.â Nirvana played in the background. Something in the Way.
âHeyâŚâ You lip quivers, and Joel runs over to you with no hesitation, scooping you into his strong, farm-worked arms and keeping you close to him as you cried. Your body wracks in heaves and sobs, and Joel knew something was very wrong, his heart aching for you, hoping so badly you were going to be okay. He never wanted to stop hugging you. When youâre crying slowed, Joel still held your body. Talia offered to go get some food, trusting Joel to watch you while she was gone and giving you both time to talk. When you finally lifted your head off his soft flannel, Joel guided you to sit on the couch.
âIâve missed you so muchâŚâ You sniffled, not looking at him. âAs soon as I heard about Kurt Cobain, I just wanted to call youâŚâ
âYou couldâveâŚâ He reassured you. âI know how much he meant to you⌠I donât want you to have to go through things alone, BlueâŚâ
You shake your head. âI donât. I got Talia, I always got Talia⌠and Tess and TommyâŚâÂ
Joel didnât know Tommy was hanging out with you. âI know⌠I justâŚâ He sighs. âI still wanna be there for you, you know? And with what happenedâŚâ
You groan, flopping back on the couch dramatically. âI canât fucking beleive it. Years, i was here for years completely fine! Then this shit happens!â
âIâm sorry-â
âJoel, donât-â
âBut I am! Iâm sorry, this is because of me.â
âNo, this is because Kayla is a bitch. Sorry Joel, I know you donât like us talkân bad about her but she is!â
His voice was soft and gentle. âI think you earned the right to call her that, Blue.â
He hears you huff a sardonic laugh. âSo have you.â You scrub your face. âThree years with this school, not so much as a talking to, no bad performance reviews⌠Not even a parent complaint.â You pop your head up. âParents will complain about everything! But not me!â Back down. âAll down the drain.â
Apparently, Max wasnât done with Kayla. This didnât surprise Joel; Kayla wanted Max to get to him, and Max was stupid. Of course he was still cheating with her. Kayla was, obviously, beautiful. Thatâs just a fact. After finding out Blue was trans, he scampered off to Kayla like a little rat and told her. Kayla, in turn, outted Blue to the entire school.
âCanât you sue for wrongful termination? I mean, they canât fire you for being trans.â
âNopeâ You popped the P. âBut they fired me on grounds of poor work performance which is bullshit. Texas is a will to work state, which means they can basically fire me for anything except being a protected class, so they just make something up. Texs has ass workers rights, I donât got a leg to stand on.â He watched as your eyes welled up with tears. âParents who always said their children adored me complained I was a predator and was grooming their children⌠One called me a satanist, which is wild.â
Joel chuckled a little at that, but only because you had a smile at the corner of your mouth. âIâm sorry this is happening, Blue⌠youâre a great teacher and they are fucking missing out.â
âI know, thank you. Being good right wonât pay my bills, though.â Youâd be moving in with Tess, Talia, and Tommy, making for a full house. Joel wanted to bring Tommy home, he really fucking did⌠Tess and Talia woud have a full house once Blue was there, Sarah missed him⌠and fuck, Joel missed him. A lot. But Tommy refused to get help, and although he said he was clean, heâd said it before. He couldnât risk Sarahâs safety like that. Honestly, he wasnât sure Tommy even wanted to come back with the way Joel had talked to him sometimes.Â
You rested your feet on his blue jeans. âIâm glad youâre here, cowboy.â
Joel just can't stay away.
Two chapters left! One more seeing how things come back together for Joel, Blue, Sarah, Ellie, Tess and Talia
then, the finally where everyone is happy for the finale of pride event!!!!
I went to pride today (before and after being The Bikeriders AGAIN)
Before, I cried a little a free mom hugs
then i cried at The Bikerriders
then!! After bikeriders I went back to check out everything fully with more time and ended up breaking down sobbing at the free mom/dad hugs tent. It was so much a lady from anothr tent hugged me too ;-;

Being Married To Frank (Abigail) Headcanons
Congratulations, you've fallen for clickbait that's not clickbait. You will have HCs, just not the good ones! (For human Frank of course)
~~~
Frank is fashionably late to his own wedding. Not that he cares, he runs on Frank Standard Time. Criminal buddies are present, you have no idea who any of them are.
He doesn't actually care much for his vows, bro actually cheated a day after the wedding but never told you.
He's always home super late and still expects dinner to be made. If not he complains about doing everything to support you, yet you can't make sure a hot meal is there when he gets home.
The type to ask you to drop anything you're doing at any given moment to make him a sandwich.
Forgets the anniversary date of your wedding. Don't even ask him about vow renewals, he thinks they're overrated.
In the event the two of you procreate, he's going to complain about having another mouth to feed on top of providing for yourself.
He misses his own child's birth, going on a job with his criminal buddies during the entire thing. Frank shows up around the hour before you and the child are discharged from the hospital. He doesn't even ask how you're doing.
Frank is keeping his distance away from the small child, "politely" refusing to hold them when you ask if he wants to. He wants to say it's "the woman's job" to take care of kids, he just works to provide the means to do so.
Gone again for "work", leaving you home alone with a baby and chores to do.
If the child wakes up in the middle of the night Frank's tapping on your shoulder to wake you up to deal with it because he can't be bothered.
Unsurprisingly, he misses his kid's first birthday. And that's not the last time. Maybe he makes it to one but you noticed a woman keeping her distance from the party. She's blonde with blue eyes and so very pretty. Frank insists she's just a friend.
You don't see her again for weeks. However he's talking to someone over the phone before entering the house one afternoon. Won't give her a name but she shows up to one cookout he hosts.
A new girl; brunette, fairly tall with heels. Frank's bad at hiding it but he's pretty much all over her. You just have to grin and bear it.
For some reason you don't see her again after some weeks. Frank is still distant as if he's hiding something. However the money is still flowing and he's his usual self still, asking for sandwiches and dinner.
Divorce floats around in your head, but you can't do it. Part of you still loves him. Although there's barely any intimacy with him anymore. If there is, he usually goes to sleep right after.
However one day you're out shopping and arrive home with your child. The house feels... different, more empty than usual. Frank's not there--as if that ever bothered you. But there's an envelope on the table with your name on it.
It's money, a good amount to keep you set for one month longer. Frank had moved all his stuff out. The bastard.
Looks like you were moving back in with your parents.
Calling his number only leads to "the person you are trying to reach no longer exists" (he's got a new phone already).
No point in keeping the ring (he's already pawned his ring for money -- and you should too).
He doesn't do child support either. Tough luck.
Maybe your friends were right about him. Too late now. :^)
Marauders head canons (love language edition) P2: the boys
P1: here (yes I did make the P2 two months later.)
James. James. James. He would be into very extravagant gestures and gifts, and everything really. He would always love gifting people really nice fancy (expensive) stuff, and would always do big events. Completely opposite though, he would loveee simple guestures, simple touches just whenever heâs out with his significant other, simple birthday partyâs, barely any events, he just wants to be loved in silence.
Sirius wouldnât really be much into the grand guestures, more small diy gifts or anything that makes him think of his partner. Also like just random un-sirius gifts he thinks theyâll love (eg: he got Remus a crescent moon earring bc he hates the full moon but loves the moon when itâs not full). He would love physical touch when given to him, itâs like this thing where he truly only feels comfortable with a partner if he lets them casually touch him, and it just makes him melt into a puddle.
Remus would always show his love by doing the most random things ever. Whether that is making his lover a flower crown of their favourite flower, or holding their hand whenever he could. You name it, he did it. Remus would always want his partner to feel valued in any way and every way. He would love being touched, it would make him feel really loved, like every time of touch imaginable (even sometimes violent touches :() would make him feel less insecure about himself, and feel like he deserved to be loved, because he always thought he didnt deserve to be held, to be touched.
Regulus. Is. A. Cuddler. Thatâs it, he loves cuddling and loves to be the little small spoon. Not just that actually, he also loves quality time, both ways, spending time with his partner because he feels thatâs the only way to truly appreciate someone. He also finds it really special whenever someone gives him something because heâs barely ever gotten gifts from people, especially from his âMotherâ and âFatherâ and he also loves getting random weird DIY shit like he eats that up.
Peter would love doing stuff for his Partner, like he would always be a actions of service (?) kind of guy. You ask him FOR anything and he would do it, no matter how vile or weird or funny. He would do anything to show his love and appreccation because nobody rlly did that for him growing up. He would love TOUCH, TOUCH TOUCH TOUCH TOUCH TOUCH. Cuddling, hugging, hand holding, and also the occasional hand on shoulder bc he is either shorter or taller than his partner.
BARTY CROUCH... JR. Biter. Wound maker (with consent). Touches both soft and light and comforting, and also like biting. Both ways. That's all you need to know about that smart ass (and fine ass) man.
EVAN MF ROSIER. Kill me if you please, but this man would give GIFTS that are the most random and vile and weird gifts but they would be so cuteeeeee. Like imagine his partner gettinga wisdom tooth necklace with his wisdom teeth or smth, like weird digusting but also omgg like he did that, for his partner so yeah. He would feel appreciated and loved when his partner would spend time with him, doing anything, baking, sleeping, watching movie, staring at each other when having a friend dinner, chilling on their phones watching tiktoks, killing ppl together. The works.
FRANK. Frankly I have a feeling that Frank would be so into just downright praising people, or like affirming them. Even if they weren't dating he would just go like 'Aww thanks, you did amazing! You're so good at this babes!" and then he wonders why everybody is in love with him... He would love just telling people that they're good ppl, or they're amazing or affirming them bc it's in his blood and viens (projecting again...) and he would just love showing his LOVE AND ADMIRATION through words! He would also need the exact same thing back though, poor guy frankly can't live without ppl telling them they love him (same man same). He also loves winning quidditch games for his partner, like those basketball guys who are like 'this ones for you' and they acc make it? lol.
#did you guys that according to me one of the love languages is now FANCY#bc it is#so yuh#evan rosier#barty crouch junior#sirius black#regulus black#marauders#james potter#marauders era#peter pettigrew#remus lupin#frank longbottom
Dialtown Party Game Concept
Hello friends. you might know me as the randy jade ask blog but I had something cooking in my brain for a bit and it was for a hypothetical Dialtown party game spinoff called Dialtown Party! Do note I don't really have any drawings but I might add some later if I feel like it so here we go!
The plot: It's Callum Crown's 100th birthday and Mingus is still trying to reform after the incident last February so in order to celebrate the big 100 for his peepaw, Mingus holds a festival in his name to get hip with the town. Everyone in Dialtown is welcome to participiate including someone who just moved in... you!
Basic Premise: In Mysims Party you would go through sets of minigames called Festivals with a certain number of characters per player in order to progress the "story" so I would think that the same can apply here. Example being something called an opening festival which has 3 minigames and then you unlock a festival after that which has 6 minigames. etc. etc. After every minigame you get points based on how well you perform in the minigame. In Mysims Party each festival was held by a different character, but in Dialtown Party Mingus hosts every festival, but she will say different things each festival to keep it fresh. I would think between these festivals you experience various conversations with the whole Dialtown cast and their thoughts on the festival and shenanigans ensue! This would also be a great chance to show interactions not in the original game like say... Abel and Bunny.
Every major and minor Dialtown Character is playable!: From Phonegingi and Oliver to cameo characters like Harry and Peter, everyone you know and love from Dialtown is now playable and has their own minigame to call their own! There's even some secret characters too! Later in this doc I'll explain every minigame and what you do to win in each of them. Mid-Festival Events!: Sometimes between minigames in a festival Madame Mediocre will appear and initiate a surprise event! Every player will pick a card from 15 or so cards and various things will happen. Here's the list of effects:
-An Enc0unter protection card. Nullifies negative effects from Enc0unter one time. (See the next section.) - A players party will recieve an item that temporarily increases a stat to the max for one minigame. (You can hold up to 3 of these items per player) - One character in players party has their lost stats restored - Every character in players party has their lost stats restored - The character used in the last minigame will have all their stats lowered by 1 - The character used in the last minigame will have all their stats boosted by 1 - A character in someone's party will be unavailable for 3 minigames - Nothing
Mid-Festival Events!(2): Sometimes between minigames... Enc0unter will appear! This mysterious figure could do all sorts of things. Change everyone's stats, add an unexpected minigame, lower everyone's stats to one, or max out everyone's stats.
Playable roster in no particular order: Phonegingi, Typegingi, Randy Jade, Oliver Swift, Karen Dunn, Bigfoot, Sgt. Norm Allen, Mayor Mingus, Jerry Gould, Abel Brannigan, Bunny, Nathan Hanover, Peter Kennedy, Roger Jones, Harry Fitzgerald, Hobo, Little Billy, Pierre, Curie, Zimothy Bunsen, Craig, Lorraine Deere, Terrence "Tango", Theoroar Rustlebelt, Stabby, Shooty, Gabby, Narrator, Frank, Ebenezer Dickens.
Secret Characters (No minigame attached besides some): Callum Crown, Marla Crown, Milton R. Wallace, Jack Kennedy, Steven Stevenson, Lola, Phonald Ringin, Frongles The Clown, Civilian
How to unlock characters: You play their minigame once. That's it. Mysims party character unlocking sucked i am NOT making other people go through that. You have the dateables and Gingi by default.
More about characters: Every character has 4 stats. Power, Running, Stamina, and Luck. Every minigame has preferred stats. For my sanity I won't be giving the stat numbers for every character so you'll just have to use your imagination for now. During festivals and after playing a minigame the preferred stats from the minigame played will have a point reduced on the characters stat. (Example: if a minigame had a preferred stat of running and power. Randy's power stat of 2 and running stat of 4 would be reduced to 1 and 3 respectively. A stat can go no lower than one.)
Minigame Structure: Every minigame will have 4 players and each player is represented by a Dialtown character or a custom dialtowner made in the player character's house. Each minigame will have a task and whoever can complete the task the best wins!
Special gimmick: In Mysims Party if you were to play as a character and then play as that character in their minigame the host for the minigame would be wearing a different costume. I would like to bring that to dialtown party. An example is that if you play as randy and then play the Randy minigame randy will be throwing swans at a randy wearing red clothes.
This section will list every characters minigame. This will be a LONG section.
Use a button to clean through the trash and collect any collectables you might find. Each collectable has it's own point value. Whoever has the most points by the time limit or when all collectables are found, wins!
--THE ENDING--
After completing all the festivals there will be a cutscene with Mingus visiting his grandfather at the nursing home. Mingus will tell his peepaw that the festival was a huge success and that Mingus is more liked by the community something that she thought would never happen after what she's done. Callum isn't responding that much, but soon enough Mingus pulls out the postcard that Mingus used to be so focused on and gives it to Callum. "I don't need this anymore," She says and bids his peepaw farewell. The despondent Callum Crown finally shows some movement and picks up the postcard that was on his lap. Callum stares at the postcard for a long while before putting it aside. Callum closed his hypothetical eye and sleeps. CALLUM CROWN'S MINIGAME: ??????????? Description: This is more of a cutscene than anything. The minigame introduction is in an indecipherable text and when you go to the character select screen the only option is... Callum Crown. The minigame shows the usually start graphic but there's no timer. It's a flashback to the time when Callum took the photo for that postcard. You talk to the townsfolk slowly gathering everyone up to make that fabled photo. Everyone is in place and Callum says "Say Dialtown everyone!" Right as this happens it cuts to current day where a similar photo is being taken except it's everyone in Dialtown that you just did all the minigames with. and then the credits roll.
--CONCLUSION-- Secret Character Unlocks: After you beat the game you unlock Callum Crown, Milton R. Wallace, and Marla Crown. No one acknowledges how they're alive or how Callum remembers anything as their appearances are non canon in an already hypothetical non-canon game! You unlock Jack and Steven via scoring well in Harry and Jack's minigame. You unlock Lola by doing well in Randy's minigame. You unlock Phonald Ringin, Frongles The Clown, and Civilian with cheat codes.
In conclusion: I hope you had a fun time reading this hypothetical. Feel free to take this post and do whatever you want with it like draw fanart of the minigame concepts or whatever. Overall though I just hope you enjoyed a Dialtown superfan's rambles!!!
What I liked and didn't like about Gyro in 'The Last Adventure' (long post)
This is a repost from my defunct blog. Just a summary of what I liked and thought they could've done better in how the last episode handled Gyro, especially his relationship with Boyd:
Gyro and Boyd at Webby's 'birthday party' at Funso's
This was in the beginning of the series finale 'The Last Adventure', and was the very first time Boyd was seen since 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' (which was only the 6th episode of the third season and came out May 2020; 'The Last Adventure' was the final episode and came out March 2021⌠just let that sink in).
Liked: It was so AWESOME to FINALLY see Gyro and Boyd together again, and I squealed so hard at this scene when I first watched this episode! He's spending time with Boyd at a birthday party, eeeee! (And I touched on the significance of this scene in this post).
Liked: Boyd could have hung out with Huey and the other kids (which definitely would've been awesome too), but he chose to spend time with his dad instead! That is so cute!!
Missed opportunity: Does anybody else wish Gyro had actually been smiling at seeing his son enjoying himself as a 'definitely real boy'?? Like, c'mon! (And back during the third season, Frank was asked on his Tumblr blog if Gyro and Boydâs relationship was improving, and he emphasized- and I quote- âOh, yes. Very much so", but we never really learned what that looked like.) I mean, it probably did warm Gyro's heart to spend time with Boyd and see him just being the happy, free child he'd truly become, but still, he could've looked less indifferent or awkward!
Missed opportunity: Gyro should have laughed here while shielding his face from the candy, instead of the irritated reaction when it hit him. Sheesh, Gyro, lighten up! âš Whyâs he still so easily irritable, especially when itâs just Boyd having a good time?
Missed opportunity: Now that Gyro's attention has shifted from solely Boyd and more onto the main event, he's really got his typical grumpy expression on and is standing a bit further away from everyone else. Itâs very disappointing he wasnât shown to be at least a little happier and closer with everyone. Itâs the final episode, all Scroogeâs friends and family have gathered together in one place for this very important event (not only to celebrate Webbyâs birthday, but to finally take down their greatest threat of all), and all these characters have changed and grown so much since the start of the series or when they were very first introduced (which even Frank and Matt, the showâs creators, admitted in an interview). It would have been more meaningful if Gyro had been smiling like everyone else to show his character development since 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' I know people donât change overnight, and Gyro had a LOT of trauma that affected him for so many years, but still⌠it would have been nice to show him with a little more growth.
Liked/Missed opportunity: During the entire scene where everyone was gathered around Webby for cake and the birthday song (which was the signal to destroy F.O.W.L.'s security cameras and launch their raid on their secret headquarters below Funso's), Boyd was sitting on Manny's arm instead of Gyro's shoulders. On the one hand, I like that Manny was holding Boyd because that tells me he became sort of an uncle-figure to him... but it would have been twice as cute if he was sitting on Gyro's shoulders, since that would've been more proof of how close they'd become!
Gyro and Boyd on Webbyâs family board
Liked: I LOVE that Boyd apparently became an official member of Team Science off-screen, and that there's a string linking Huey to Boyd to say they're best friends (because you wouldn't think so by his absence from the majority of the third season).
Missed opportunity: Why wasn't there a string linking Gyro and Boyd?? And why is there a string between Boyd and Doofus?? It was never actually confirmed whether or not Boyd went to live with Gyro or if he continued staying with the Drakes, but regardless, Gyro and Boyd are absolutely family (FAR more than Doofus was, since he only saw Boyd as a mere machine and an interloper in his family, and there's the little fact that Boyd never had a choice about being part of the Drakes' family... which is why I don't get why he'd choose to still live with them after 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' when he embraced his identity as his own free person with the ability to make his own choices)! Boyd was Gyro's first and greatest creation, his pride and joy, his son in every sense of the word!
Where was Boyd and Fenton after they found May and June?
Missed opportunity: In this scene right after they find Webby's clones, we see Gyro, Huey, Lena, Beakley, Scrooge, Donald, and Della all gathered around, analyzing the clones and trying to figure out why F.O.W.L. created clones of Webby. But there's no reason why both Fenton and Boyd couldn't have been there too! They could have helped- Boyd is a highly resourceful Junior Woodchuck like Huey, and his brain is a supercomputer, making him super intelligent; and Fenton is a scientist (especially ever since Gyro promoted him at the end of 'Astro B.O.Y.D.')! And neither Fenton and Gyro nor Huey and Boyd interact at all in the final episode, so more missed opportunity to further develop their respective relationships too. And I mean, come on, why didn't they especially take what opportunities they had to have Gyro and Boyd share screentime or interact??
In the same scene, most of the rest of the kids burst into the room, anxious to learn more about the mystery of Webby's clones too. But no Boyd (Gosalyn was nowhere to be seen in the mansion either, oddly enough, but I'm assuming she was there somewhere with Drake/Darkwing)!
In fact, we didn't see Boyd and Fenton again until later when everyone boarded the plane to go storm the Lost Library. I'm assuming in the above scene, Boyd was with Manny and Fenton (wherever those two were, but I'd like to think they were somewhere in the mansion too). It was a shame Boyd didn't at least interact with the other kids while everyone was at the mansion, because he didn't hang out with them for nearly the entire third season (not on-screen, anyway)!
"Look After Your Brother"
Liked: SELF-EXPLANATORY. :D :D And I love how sincere, protective, and loving Gyro sounded and looked when he entrusted Lil Bulb with Boyd's safety. This was their most dangerous threat yet, and Boyd's first adventure with the Ducks, and Boyd and Gyro had been together again after 20 years for only some months... so, it only made sense for Gyro to worry about his son (and what makes it even more touching is that Boyd is a superpowered robot, more than capable of taking care of himself, but Gyro still worried about him). He trusted Lil Bulb with Boyd's life!!
(And Lil Bulb would indeed look after Boyd; after the plane crashed when the kids were onboard alone, following Dewey's sky-battle with Don Karnage, Boyd lost his body. So, Lil Bulb removed his bulb and attached Boyd's head onto his own body, which is how they stayed for most of the rest of the episode.)
Missed opportunity: They didn't exchange a single word to each other or even hug, despite knowing what a dangerous mission it was. :( :(
Why didn't Gyro seem more worried for Boyd?
Missed opportunity: I covered this in a separate post here, but throughout most of the rest of the episode ever since Gyro learned Bradford captured and planned to destroy everyone even remotely associated with Scrooge and his family (and Gyro spent the majority of the time captured himself, along with HDL, Webby, Gandra, and Ludwig Von Drake), he never once showed any sign he worried about or missed Boyd. Not once did he bring Boyd up.
The victory scene at the end
Liked: It was cool actually seeing Gyro and Fenton share screentime, even though they didn't interact!
Missed opportunity: Why the heck was Boyd/Lil Bulb standing so far away from Gyro and the rest of Team Science there (especially after they were separated the entire time)?? He should have been right there with them (especially in front of Gyro, or even in his arms)!
The plane-ride home
Liked: AHHHH. Boyd lying in Gyro's lap as he reattached his head, Gyro tenderly cupping his head, both smiling so lovingly at each other! Together again where they belong, safe. It's so beautiful. YES. JUST YES. You can really see the love between them in this scene.
Missed opportunity: Like the "Look after your brother" scene, it's sad they didn't say anything to each other or even hug one last time!
The end credits
Liked: BEAUTIFUL. The very last we'll ever see of them, and Gyro is smiling the biggest, happiest smile he's ever done in the entire series. In fact, I feel like this is the moment that perfectly summed up Gyro's healing journey and development (which we didn't really see after 'Astro B.O.Y.D.', but this almost makes up for that). He looks so happy and free. It's like it just hit him all-at-once here that he's no longer burdened by the demons of his past, that he's got Boyd in his life, and that he's part of Scrooge's family too.
Yeah, so many of these little details could have easily been improved without costing much time and budget. But when they nailed it, they nailed it!
Hey frank can you help me plan an event? This is what I've got so far. (You are invited too, of course)
"Hewwo friends we're having a tea party! Please bring your favourite teas, cakes, cookies, etc, vegan if possible! We can maybe play a board game too, or just have a nice chat.
Also please remember to dress up! The theme is doom, sacrifice, occultism, goth, and destruction. Minimum dress standard is entirely covered in blood."
That sounds amazing, and I'm very glad to be invited. Unfortunately, I won't be able to participate myself -- I'll be having a party of my own today, since it's my birthday.
Everyone is invited, but the dress code is fairly simple:
Wear only things which kill
old lady cannibalism knitting club but after the events of the game.
jamie says something along the lines of 'i can't believe i'm saying this but i kinda miss topeka.' and charlie is 100% the one to suggest they all head to topeka to visit for old times sake.
everyone seems to be on board, but mark and erin keep sharing nervous looks.
the trip comes, they all settle into a motel, and everyone decides to hit the town. or city. county? idk what topeka is, i don't care enough to look it up. anyways, they all opt to stick together because i mean. last time they all separated, they almost died, so. just this once, they do group activities together.
and at some point... they come across an old woman... walking down the street, carrying tupperwares of cooked meat. mark and erin are immediately on high alert and are trying to get the gang into the nearest store lest the old lady recognizes them.
alas, they are spotted by the old woman before they could get away and she immediately brightens at the sight of them and approaches. the other three are a little confused as to why mark and erin have been recognized by some random old woman on the street but.
'oh, dearies, why didn't you tell me you two were around?'
'haha... hey, cheryl... how've, uh, how are you? and the uh... knitting club...'
'i'm just peachy! i was actually makin' my way to sandra's house. it's her 80th birthday and she's been begging me to bring a piece of frank over.'
'what... does that m-' and kate can't even finish her sentence before mark and erin are cutting her off with an awkward laugh.
'that sounds great, cheryl.'
'would you like to join me? you can even bring your friends!'
'that's really sweet of you to offer, but we're actually-'
'why, i don't see why we should turn down such a generous offer! i'm feeling rather hungry, so we'd love to join you, ma'am.' because of course charlie would say yes.
and on the walk to sandra's house, charlie made delightful conversation with cheryl while kate and jamie both questioned mark and erin on how they knew the woman.
they both just awkwardly explain that they met her when they were last in topeka. neither of them mention the cannibalism because like... how... do you just casually bring that up in conversation....
anyways, they get to sandra's home and there are like 8 other old women there. it's a party. sandra's wearing a birthday hat.
mark and erin are now tasked with trying to make sure the others do Not eat any of the meat at the party while also not trying to be suspicious or rude. they would hate to ruin sandra's birthday. you don't turn 80 every day, after all.
also they just don't want to risk becoming their next meal. that would, decidedly, suck.
who: open to all when: during the festivities event: 003 - Frank's birthday party
Every now and then Bea would slip behind the bar or into the back to grab some new supplies or help out whenever she couldn't find Ros. There was no doubt the other witch was busy, hosting a party with these many people in the middle of the times they lived in. The least the witch could do was her best to help out; to fill in wherever it was needed.
"That's quite a specific drink but I think we still have some in the back if you'd like me to check?" Her face lit up with a smile, trying to remember what she'd seen in the storage room the last time she'd wandered there to grab fresh towels and napkins. "Or you could come along?" Her attention diverted for a moment, shooing some familiar face she couldn't place the name of toward the gift table instead of simply dropping it off in the middle of a table. Things would only get lost that way. "Sorry. So, what will it be?"
Threads can continue after the event is over, but no new starters should be posted after the 15th August. A birthday party for Cameron Jr.
A fun and playful event filled with laughter and joy. The theme of the party was 'Under the Sea. The party was held in the backyard of the Franks family home, which was decorated with colorful streamers, balloons, and posters of sea creatures. There was also a large banner that read 'Happy Birthday Cameron Jr.!' in bold letters.
The children who came (camerons cousins and uncle) were all dressed in their favorite sea-themed costumes, such as mermaids, pirates, and sea animals. They were all excited to play games and participate in the activities that were planned for the party.Camerons favorite thing at the party was a bouncy castle shaped like a giant octopus. The children had a blast jumping and sliding on it, pretending to be sea creatures themselves.
There was also a craft station where the children could decorate their own paper fish and sea creatures using glitter, stickers, and markers. This activity kept them busy and allowed the adults to have a nice conversation for twenty or so minutes without being inturpted.
As the party came to an end, Cameron Jr. blew out the candles on his birthday cake, which was a beautiful white confetti cake decorated with sprinkles and topped with a number '2' candle. The children sang 'Happy Birthday' and enjoyed a slice of cake before it was time to go home.
Mutt 2023
Fena, a young trans guy bustling through life in New York City, is afflicted with an incessantly challenging day that resurrects ghosts from his past. Laundromats, subway turnstiles, and airport transfers are the hectic background to this emotional drama that overlaps past, present, and future. Settling the disharmony of transitional upheaval in relationships familial, romantic, and platonic is Fena2s task at hand, and his resulting juggling act is equal parts skillful, fumbling, and honest. In negotiating his obliqueness, the poignant moments he finds between himself and others as the distance between them closes are warm, true, and touching
Q&A with MUTT Filmmaker Vuk Lungulov-Klotz and Stars LĂo Mehiel, Cole Doman & MiMi Ryder
Chilean and Serbian immigrants, he was raised between Chile, the US, and Serbia. As a transgender storyteller, he hopes to expand queer narratives. His work focuses on intimate moments we often miss if we're not looking. Mutt is his debut feature film. With his feature film script, MUTT, he is an alum of the Sundance Institute Labs, the Inside Out Financing Forum, and was a top five finalist for the Tribeca / AT&T Untold Stories Grant. His award winning trans-themed short film, "Still Liam," played at festivals internationally and earned the attention of celebrated queer filmmakers Ira Sachs and Silas Howard, who have both become mentors. Vuk is also an alum of the Ryan Murphy HALF Initiative Program, where he completed a mentorship under director Janet Mock on the FX series POSE. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
LĂo Mehiel is a Puerto Rican and Greek artist, actor, and filmmaker. Their work spans film, television, multimedia installation, theater, and events. They are fascinated by the inherent contradiction of the trans experience â one deeply rooted in the body while also transcending beyond the body. LĂo began their career as a professional salsa dancer and child actor on Broadway. They can now be seen on shows like WeCrashed (Apple+) and Tales of the City (Netflix). MUTT is their feature film debut. As a filmmaker, LĂo produced Chaperone, a queer short film which premiered at Sundance 2022. They wrote, directed, produced, and starred in Disforia, a short film which premiered at Outfest Film Festival in 2018. They are now stuck inside of a psychomagic act with this story as they write the feature script version and confront their own medical transition. As an installation artist, their immersive piece Arcade Amerikana was included in the list of 10 Best Immersive Shows in NYC by Time Out and GOTHAMIST. LĂo is currently the producer and creative director of Angels, a developing collection of stone sculptures of transgender humans. The works were first featured as part of a pop-up installation at Outfest LA in 2022, and will be debuted in full at SIZED Gallery LA in 2023. LĂo is a co-founder of Voyeur Productions with Russell Kahn and Dulcinee DeGuere. They attended Northwestern University, and are an alumni of the Emerge NYC residency program for artists and activists. Photo credit: Jordan Rossi
