where: ministry gala who: open
Over time Alecto had developed a method to her madness, a way to keep a neutral visage written on her features; considering where she worked, everyday was a way to improve her acting skills. Taking a small break, the witch found a table in the back, sinking down in the plush cushion, leaning back whilst a leg crossed over the other.
"I don't remember being asked if that seat was taken," a snark in her tone, twisting her head to let her gaze fall on the one who dared to sit beside her. Most who were welcomed in her circle would not be put off by her manners, others, might wish to take it as a warning.

Aurora may have had an extra drink more than she should have, but the buzzing feeling that rippled through her body had her feeling like she was on cloud nine. These events made her nervous and a few drinks would always settle them.
She turns to the person who came up beside her. "What kind of magical creature is the worst for security?" The seer waited a moment before answering. "A porlock." A fit of giggles slip from her parted lips.

Apolline was excited for the gala. It was in gatherings like this where she thrived, an expectation that came from her parents, considering at some point she would be hosting her own once married.
The French witch had an extra drink in hand, weaving through the crowd until her gaze fell on one that seemed empty handed.
"Pour toi," she extends her hand, offering the drink. "Are you," a slight pause trying to put together the rest of the sentence, "enjoying self?"

Who: Open Where: Malfoy x Black Wedding Reception, his own seat. He looked down at his own place card, the sense of gentle belonging felt like an almost unnatural relief. He could almost fall asleep after so much dancing and mingling, though there were always ups and downs after events like this he settled for lounging in a surprisingly comfortable chair. He turned idly to look at the person who had approached with a smirk. "Congratulations! You've found me, I think I'll have a short rest if you're looking for a dance, otherwise feel free to join me."

where: outside three broomsticks / frank’s birthday. who: open.
Georgette had somehow been invited to Frank Longbottom’a surprise birthday party. Parties weren’t her scene and she had no intention of going but at the last minute she decided to stop in. Curiosity had gotten the best of her. But when she walked in the place was jam-packed.
Anxiety crept into Georgette’s skin. Before going all the way in, she stayed outside. She pulled out a cigarette and leaned against the wall, hearing the door and noise close behind her.
“What was I thinking coming here?” She asked out loud not realizing she wasn’t alone.

He had watched her the moment she stepped into the reception, watching the tension between herself and her fiancé, and waited until he buggered off before making his way over to her. "You look breathtaking tonight, Evelyn." He stopped in front of her, holding out a glass of champagne. "Do you have a moment I could steal you away to somewhere a little more private? I promise to be on my best behaviour," a sheepish grin on his face. Thorfinn could do with a break from the crowds and was rather fond of the witches company.

There was no great joy, then watching the way Frank's face lit up when they walked into the pub and everyone was there to surprise him, standing at the front was his wife.
He moved around the birthday boy and went to the bar. "I'll get a beer, please." He wasn't in the mood for something hard, but still wanted to indulge.

who: open to all where: ministry of magic event: ministry spring gala 1979
Events such as this one were ever a reminder of the many other events and parties the young witch had attended all throughout her life, always playing along with a smile. Generally, Estelle didn’t matter the crowds, the buzzing of things and of course the chatter. People were so utterly distracted and happy to chitter chatter away at it without a second thought. Perhaps that was where her lack of reluctance to attend came from? The blonde scanned the crowd in front of her, eyes roaming politely before she spotted the bar. Only just having arrived it wouldn’t suit to make her way there, yet she could tell from the small crowd near it, the increased density that it certainly was a popular place. An event such as this, who could she blame?
The witch took a few steps, greeting people here and there as she usually would. One could mistake her for a social butterfly. And perhaps, to a degree she was. Estelle herself would not have chosen those words yet her face lit up with a smile each time she came across a familiar face. It was hard to tell if mask or simple truth; only she herself would let that be know. A closely guarded secret. And then she spotted someone of actual interest. “Look at you! Like a flower fresh into blooming, hm?” A compliment usually went a long way, whether the truth or not. Estelle would always try her best to play nice; play only.

He should be grateful that they were in public and she couldn't yell at him like she truly wished she could. There was no way Alara could refuse Evan's proposal, especially the way he asked her, knowing the only reason it would be happening is because the family gave their blessing, what she found out after, her brother gave the blessing as well, baffling her, considering he was older than Rabastan and age was a huge issue.
Gracefully, and a few drinks later, she waltzed up to her brother. "I didn't realise you went into the role of matchmaker." Icy hues glance up at him.

Lucius did not want to leave his bride's side, a hand always at the small of her back when they stood together, but their paths took them in opposite directions, that what felt like hours, brought them back together, concealed away from the guests. He leans down to steal a chaste kiss. "You look beautiful, Mrs. Malfoy." He smirks, liking the way that sounded rolling off his tongue.

who: @rsrevan where: ministry of magic event: ministry spring gala 1979
Decently late into the night and yet far too early to call it one and leave; that was the only way the timeframe they were all in could be described as. Of course, a few people had already left and truthfully the witch couldn’t blame them. Apart from a few rather dramatic turns the event had been rather calm; too quiet and tame for her liking. There had been the woman seemingly cursed and, from the whispers, a drink spilled, but beyond that it seemed almost too quiet. Either a storm was brewing or this whole day was at risk of ending up entirely boring. It was good to have some friends around to make up for the lack of chaos to unfold around them.
For a few minutes now the brunette had been making her rounds, scanning the crowd as she normally would, picking up a conversation here and there without ever bothering to stay for too long. Emmeline had been just about ready to make her way back to the bar when she spotted a face that brought forth at least a little bit of a smirk as she made her way over. “Look at you, hiding out among the crowd. Almost wouldn’t have noticed you there.” A shrug, her face filled with just a hint of disdain as she let her eyes roam the crowd closest to the other. “Lucky for you; you stick out among the others.”
Emmeline had never made it a habit of hers to open talk about these people that she felt to be in the wrong world, the wrong place. She had her opinions, very well known to those she actually cared to share them with. An occasional snappy comment, that was about the extent of her way of voicing her dislike of those lesser than them. In truth even she herself did not fit the criteria, but she was doing her best to make up for it. “Enjoying the festivities?” The brunette allowed her eyes to linger, for just a moment before taking a sip from the glass still in her hand. Lavender champagne.

Giving the bride some time to settle in and talk with a few of the guests, Alecto takes the opportunity to check in on her, sliding her arm through hers, excusing them. "How many times have you said, thank you for coming?" A smirk on her lips. "Your mother looks pleased, Malfoy's as well. Next they'll be asking when you two plan to have a baby." The words hitting her, wanting to give this to Rabastan when the time was right for them and no other witch was attached unofficially to him.

Apolline noticed when Théodore entered the atrium. She always noticed when he was around, though, like all galas and functions before, he came with a witch; a different one each time. Her nose wrinkles and she finds herself slinking off to the other side, at least for the time being. The last thing she wanted to do was to play nice to a date that would only be a one night fling.
Despite the tension that could at times linger between their friendship, she still made an effort, considering they both shared the same social circle due to their families. She cared about him, but not for his antics, and at times found it better to distance herself.
The night dwindled and she found herself wandering off to one of the offices that she had a key for, needing a moment.
Her head turns, brows furrowed, when she hears the door close behind her, though she didn't close it, to find Théodore standing there.
"Is it wise to leave your date, alone?" There was a small bite to her tone, but a graceful smile remained painted on her lips. "Red hair this time. It's been awhile since I've see you with a witch with red hair."

Sethos saw how his sister came to the wedding with and knew to keep his mouth shut. He knew that they were close friends, not letting any other ideas slip into his head. He kissed Emma on the head, excusing himself to go see Valeria. "Do you need a drink?" He held out a glass of champagne for her.
